Taylor
Taylor is a 4-year-old DSH in Seaford, DE, who needs $500 for Eye Enucleation Surgery (Feline).

Our Rescue was contacted about 3 outside kittens around 3 months old. We were able to pick 2 up, but Taylor had to be trapped. He had one good eye and one bad eye, probably giving him great discomfort, and was quite scared. The vet saw Taylor that day, and performed the eye enucleation and neutering. The next day, he joined his siblings in their new foster home with Jill, full of comfort and love! Taylor has come a long way from being so scared initially, he now loves everyone, pets and people alike, in Jill’s foster home. Due to the stitches in his eyelid, he lives in his own condo, and plays for hours with his ball and mice. He also enjoys daily supervised play with his 2 siblings, and chasing the laser light beam around and leaping to catch the feathers of the fishing pole with Jill. Taylor is so very special because having only one eye doesn't hinder him one little bit! And, he is even more special because of just how far he has come, from being an outside, scared, homeless little boy, to being an incredibly active, indoor, happy family member. Taylor now loves being held so much that he enjoys being cradled like a baby in Jill's arms! When we trapped Taylor, his left pupil was severely infected and shrivelled, so it had to be enucleated (surgical removal of tissue debris, and the eye socket stitched closed). At that time, he was also neutered, vaccinated, and received an FIV/Leukemia bloodtest (which was Neg/Neg). The surgeries were performed at Four Paws Animal Hospital. Our pending adopter, Marci (our volunteer), has a heart way bigger than her wallet, as she is adopting all 3 kittens, once Taylor has fully healed. His vet fees are $563.50, she can pay $63.50, leaving $500. (She is also paying for Taylor's 2 siblings' medical fees, at $409)
Alaric
Alaric is a 5-year-old American Pitbull Terrier in Johnston, RI, who needs $2,000 for Splenectomy.

Alaric and I have been trying to live our best lives since I adopted him 4 years ago. It’s been a crazy ride with his Babesia treatment and my ailments. But we’ve always had each other. He is my baby boy, my child, my guardian. I can not imagine my life without him especially at such a young age. As much as it bothers me to ask, we need some financial help for his spleen removal surgery. Alaric’s favorite hobbies include bone chewing, ball squeaking, and walks. It doesn’t matter where we walk because he’s always the happiest boy. Most days he sleeps and especially as of late. He has not been himself since he started eating dirt. The dirt stemmed from the anemia which stems from the mass on his spleen. Alaric is a lovable jerk and there’s no other way to put it. He is adored and loved by so many including all the ladies at the groomer. People who have seen our photos say how amazing is ears are. And honestly, they are some of the best bat ears around! He’s still quirky with new people. He’s been enjoying pack walks with his doggy friends for over year. But sadly, he can not participate right now Alaric’s full story is a strange one. He was a doggy blood donor 2 years ago. Upon initial tests he had a clean bill of health. Then his blood started making other dogs sick. His blood work has been part of a study at NCSU since then. Alaric has always been asymptomatic. 8 weeks ago he started eat dirt in the yard. His blood work showed anemia. His ultrasound showed a mass on his spleen. Alaric’s surgery will cost close to $4,000. I had to give up his pet insurance this year for my own. So this will be out of pocket. Any help will be great fully appreciated!
Luna
Luna is a 7-year-old Pitbull Mix in Oak Creek, WI, who needs $1,393 for Tail Amputation / Mast Cell Tumor Removal Surgery & Biopsy.

We rescued Luna from the WI Humane Society. We’d gone to see another dog, but it wasn’t a good fit. So we looked around & when we saw her… we couldn’t help but love her. There was this 2 year old, small brindle pitbull, shivering in the corner with her tail tucked between her legs. Her surrender papers showed she was a failed fighting dog that kids offloaded on someone who turned her in to WHS. When we got Luna home, her dog brothers Jack & Joker didn’t LOVE her right away but she was definitely the annoying little sister to them. We worried how having a pitbull would be when we had our youngest child, but anyone that knows Luna or Harlow, know that they are literally Best Friends. Harlow has even tried to ride luna like a pony. Luna is our sweet bundle of energy. Luna is a failed fighting dog w/ too much energy & a heart of gold. When you first meet her she will run laps around & jump all over you. But give her long enough & she will snuggle & lay on you like a lap dog. Luna also licks… everyone and everything! Luna also thinks she is a cat. Do you have a laser pointer? She will chase it forever. Or a bug too flying around? She will pounce! On Saturday Sept 10th, we took Luna to Saint Paul Vet Clinic & she was diagnosed w/ a Mast Cell Tumor on the base of her tail. Recommended treatment is to have the tumor removed, which also involves removing her tail. Then having a biopsy done to see if the tumor is benign or if other treatment is needed. There is some risk of paralysis from the surgery because of its location. A lot of you know we lost our old boy Joker about a year ago. We weren’t prepared for this to be a potentially life threatening issue for Luna. Being able to ensure we can get the care we need for Luna & making sure Harlow’s snuggle buddy gets healthy means everything to us.
Candy Corn
Candy Corn is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Vacaville, CA, who needs $573 for Amputation.

One day while walking into pet-smart for animal supplies alone, unaware in store adoptions had started to kick back up. From down the isle I glance up and this kitty is staring me down from the kennel. It was love at first sight. She is home with me and my kids and is a love bug. She loves her animal siblings and the toddler kids. She sleeps at my head and loves to get belly rubs. She normally is in any room we are in, she will cuddle and sleep with the kids or me. She loves to sleep at your head, or creepily stare down from the top of her cat tower next to my bed lol. She loves loves her toys and catnip. Since her injury she has not been active. She stays on the cat tower 99% of the time and wont leave the room. It breaks our heart. She absolutely loves to curl her head, roll on her back paws up in the air and make air biscuits. She is a back sleeper if it's not at my head. She also is obsessed with her lamb-chops, that is the only toy besides the dangling toy with the toy and bell on it. She will not only play with her lamb-chop she cuddles and sleeps with it too. She has officially stolen the dogs lamb-chops too. She was finally able to get her X-rays and meds. They said it’s so severe they probably cannot repair it. Uc Davis said it would be an amputation. So tomorrow 9/14 she goes into pawsh to get the surgery completed. We just have to find the balance to get this baby back on her paws. Saving Gracie is covering a portion of it already. Only $573 left. We’ve tapped all resources. I suddenly was laid off rom my job, living paycheck to paycheck with kids. I have found a new job. But my baby is in pain and needs her amputation completed. It would mean a lot to me but the world to her. Saving gracie has pledged a portion. $573 left!
Spudy

I had just received my first stable home and job. I started off with a dog but I was not allowed have the breed of dog in my house so I had to give him up. About a month later my neighbor said she had some cats and she had a lot of them. I went over and chose Spudy and sister especially Spudy because he seemed he needed more one on one attention. When I saw him I knew we needed each other. Spudy is my little baby. He loves everyone and interacts with everyone, but I am the main person he clings to. You see me you see Spudy always. He is the sweetest cat to everyone he just wants love and attention. He reminds me of a big baby that’s a furball and I say that because I can pick him up like a baby and he is ok with it. When others try and love on him he enjoys it so much. Spudy has always been by my side since the day I got him. He sleeps with on a regular basis he climbs under the blanket and lays his head on the pillow as if he was a human. He knows when things are bothering me and he knows when I just need somebody. He hugs you when u need it and he sits on my school work to let me know he is helping. I love everything about my Spudy. Spudy was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis and he also has a mass in his mouth. I have began already starting his treatment for his pancreatitis which requires me to give him an IV each day with pain medication. He still needs a biopsy for his mass in his mouth which they believe is sitting in a nerve causing damage to his eye. The mass needs removed asap for his prognosis to be stable. I am on disability I work but can only do limited hours due to my disability. I would be beyond grateful for Spudy to be helped seeing him hurt, hurts me. I would be to a happiness that can’t be explained if he were to get the help he needs now.
Roxie

Her skin is itchy, leathery, and missing hair. Her teeth are in horrible shape. Her nails are overgrown to the point that walking is just cruel and painful. "The senior years of an animal are usually filled with lazy days on the couch, enjoying the snuggles from their humans, and maybe an extra treat or two between meal times," Heather A., with the nonprofit group, tells Waggle. "Roxie doesn't appear to have been able to experience the golden years just yet. Her years have been filled with neglect." One By One needs help paying Roxie's medical bills so she can finally be fixed up. They hope the best years of her life are right around the corner! "Roxie feels miserable physically, but that doesn't stop her from being a sweetheart to the staff at the animal hospital," Heather says. "Once her skin starts to heal, and her dental work is complete, she will be on the way to recovery and, hopefully, find her forever family. One that will never neglect her again." One by One is comprised entirely of volunteers who work to reduce domestic animal homelessness within their community and euthanasia rates. They stepped in for Roxie to give her her golden years back. Will you help them?

Tiny One was saved in the nick of time when a good Samaritan contacted Misfit Paws Rescue. "She was found in an abandoned house, starving, covered in fleas, and nearly blind," Missy C., with the rescue, tells Waggle. Now Tiny One needs urgent eye surgery, and the rescue hopes you will help their nonprofit group raise the money for her operation. She's being treated at the Pawsative Pet Care Clinic. "She is the most loving baby despite what she has endured," Missy says. "We have had many medical cases lately, and it's been a financial strain on our small group. We rely solely on donations and are foster-based. We love to see the transformation from where they are sick to being healthy again." Please help Tiny One!
Starro
Starro is a two-month-old Border Collie mix in Huntington, WV, who needs $1,234 for urgent eye surgery.

Starro and one of his littermates were hit by a car and dumped in a rural animal shelter. When One By One Animal Advocates heard about this tragedy, volunteers raced the pups to the animal hospital. Sadly, Starro's sibling died while they were in transit. And when they arrived at the veterinarian, Starro was barely alive! She was so anemic she needed a blood transfusion. Her eye was so infected that the smell traveled across the room. Now she needs surgery to remove her eye. One By One is trying to raise the money to cover Starro's surgery and care. They want to give the pup a new "leash" on life! "She needs to begin to heal physically and mentally," Heather A., with the group, tells Waggle. "Losing one sibling alongside her on the way to the veterinarian and almost losing her own life is enough for any animal. It's just a sad existence she has lived." Can you help Starro get his surgery and a happier and healthier life ahead?
Clara Beverly

One dog died by the time help arrived. Clara was one of the lucky ones who survived -- but barely! Now she needs your help. When Three Little Pitties Rescue heard about Clara, they rushed her to Alvin Friendswood Veterinary Clinic. "Clara has needed extensive veterinary care to save her life," Alayna G. with the rescue tells Waggle. "Clara is fighting pneumonia, which almost took her life. She had to be hospitalized three times. At one point, we were told that euthanasia might be the only option. Clara is on eight medications and twice-daily nebulizing treatments to try clearing her lungs." Despite everything Clara has been through, she is still incredibly sweet and unconditionally trusts humans. It is pretty remarkable. Clara is showing signs of improvement and is starting to feel better. "She has become talkative, saying hello when she gets excited," Alayna says. "She loves to cuddle and play with her foster brother Yurman. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle on the couch and give kisses to her foster mom." The rescue saves more than 2,000 dogs a year, and they're racing to raise the money to cover all of Clara's medical bills so they can stay afloat and save other dogs in need.
