Aleister

Aleister is my emotional support animal and best friend of 13 years! He's my knight in shining armor and instinctively knows when I need comfort. He has gotten me through many dark times, struggles, hardships, heartbreaks, trauma, PTSD triggers, and has been my reason to keep going. Now HE needs support, and this fundraiser is so we can get a diagnosis in order to find how we can give HIM comfort. Aleister is extremely friendly, social, affectionate, playful, and silly. Very talkative, and tells it like it is. His love language is rubbing noses, and he loves receiving gifts- he always knows when something is for him! It's been extremely hard to see his very vibrant personality become dimmer since he's been sick. And so my gratitude to you for any help that you can give us is immeasurable. Aleister was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, calcium oxalate crystals in his bladder causing blood in his urine and urinary tract infections. In addition, he's had some breathing issues and needs to be seen by a cardiologist for a diagnosis. This fundraiser is to help pay for the cardiologist appointment specifically. This will be done by Mass Veterinary Services in Agawam, MA. We need help because I am disabled/low income. The costs for his sick visits, other diagnostic tests, bloodwork, urinalysis, medications, and follow up appointments have very quickly accumulated and are still ongoing. And with the added upcoming cost of his cardiologist appointment, I am stretched far beyond my limit financially struggling to make payments while also paying directly out of pocket. I can't keep up. His appointment is scheduled for early November and I'm worried that we won't be able to go since the bill needs to be payed the same day. But he really needs to see the cardiologist, and so I am reaching out for help in desperation! THANK YOU, infinitely!!
Abby
Abby is a two-year-old Lab mix in Dallas, TX, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.

Abby was scared, sick, and found wandering the streets. When Pooch Savers Rescue heard about this sad girl, they immediately saved her. Soon after, the nonprofit group brought her to Vetsavers Pet Hospital and learned she might be in kidney failure. "She could not keep food down," Scott B., from the rescue, tells Waggle. "The early test results the veterinarian ran indicate kidney failure, but we must find out the cause. She's on fluids and needs additional testing." Pooch Savers is heartbroken because Abby is a gem! "Abby is just as sweet as she can be; she is always at our feet looking for approval," Scott says. "She will nose you until she gets a head pat. Unfortunately, with the cone on her head to protect her IV port, she is constantly smacking into us. It just makes her much more endearing and us more anxious to get her healthy." Pooch Savers' goal is to secure, treat and rehome as many dogs as possible, but they can only do that with your help! "We depend on the kindness and generosity of others to assist us in this mission," Scott says. Please help Abby get her diagnosis and get on with her life!
Karla
Karla is a two-year-old Jack Russell in Dallas, TX, who needs $2,000 for an emergency C-section.

Karla lived her life outside, in a backyard where ticks and fleas devoured her tiny body. When her owner decided to sell the house, they gave Karla to Pooch Savers Rescue. It was the best thing to have happened to Karla, especially since she was about to need emergency surgery! Just as the rescue finished getting all the ticks and bugs off Karla -- she went into labor! Karla had complications, and the rescue rushed her to the Veterinary Emergency Group, where she needed an emergency C-section. "Karla had one pup naturally but required a C-section for the rest," Scott B., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "After a very tense 30 minutes, all four puppies began breathing. Dr. Connor, Dr. Lee, and the staff gave this story a happy ending. Without their heroic efforts, the puppies would not have survived." The new family is doing great, and Karla will only have happier times ahead. "Everyone who meets her immediately falls in love," Scott says. "Despite her previous poor living conditions, Karla is bright, happy, and wants to be in your line of sight at all times." The nonprofit group is now trying to raise the money to pay for this unexpected but life-saving surgery. "Pooch Savers Rescue depends on the generosity of the community, and vets, to help these defenseless creatures," Scott says. "Successfully funding these campaigns allows us to look for the next dog in need."
Maggie
Maggie is a five-month-old Shi Tzu in Columbus, OH, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.
Columbus, OH • Stop the Suffering
Maggie was one of a dozen puppies Stop the Suffering rescue saved from an Ohio puppy mill. "Puppy mills are rampant in our state," Lynne A., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "They are dog breeding facilities that produce puppies for profit, with no real interest in the needs of the babies or their moms." Maggie was terribly dehydrated and needed to be hospitalized. She then became extraordinarily lethargic and declined rapidly. She could no longer respond or open her eyes. The team at Med Vet Columbus suspects she has a brain lesion. Then a miracle happened, and Maggie stabilized. She's being closely monitored and is finally back with her foster mom, who loves her very much. All Maggie's tests, scans, and time in the hospital rang up a hefty tab for the rescue. "This was a huge expense for a nonprofit rescue group," Lynne says. "We knew Maggie was a fighter and deserved the chance to live her best life. She is a happy and spunky little girl. Maggie's foster mom is entirely devoted to her." Harley
Harley is a 13-year-old Miniature Schnauzer in CT, who needs $1,000 for Amputation Due to Cancerous Tumor.

Harley and her sister Ryder came into our lives as a Facebook post that pulled at my heart strings. They were posted as a “bonded” pair of sisters that were 10 years old. My heart sank. I couldn’t imagine who would be willing to take on 2 older dogs and I couldn’t imagine them being separated after spending their lives together. I took them into our family. Harley is very spunky and sweet. She loves chasing the cat, but ends up nose to nose with her and they sniff and separate. She has a sweet temperament and although she is little, she stands her ground with our black lab. Harley and her sister both snuggle in and sleep on top of my head every night. Harley makes me laugh because her tiny tail nub is always straight up in the air and wiggling. She gets spunky, even at her age and jumps around like a little baby goat. She loves car rides and is a great listener. The only thing she requires is lots of love and likes being carried like a baby. Harley loves to sleep in and cuddle, but she is always up for adventure as well! When we adopted Harley, she had a fatty tumor on her leg, which we were told had already been reviewed by a vet and didn’t need removal. It didn’t cause her any pain or slow her down, so we accepted that. A while later, I noticed the tumor seemed to be growing rapidly, although still not slowing her down. Finding out Harley’s tumor was actually an aggressive cancer and the tumor was infected was alarming. Our life has become a whirlwind of appointments and testing. My husband (sole provider) has had to take countless days off with no pay to assist with appointments and kids.
W S Rinkles
W S Rinkles is a 12-year-old Pug in Astoria, NY, who needs $1,190 for testing for Cushing's Disease and Biopsy.

The first half of W S Rinkles' life is a mystery, but the cigarette scars on his body are a clue to his past. When Courtney L. first heard about this Pug, who was likely abused, she knew he was the one for her! Courtney immediately adopted him from a rescue when he was six years old. "Rinkles came into my apartment and pooped on my floor," Courtney tells Waggle. "He is a special needs dog with pigmentation in his eyes, obesity, and arthritis. We got this under control with exercise and routine vet visits." But recently, Rinkles started having more health problems. Fluid filled his lungs, he had thyroid problems, and now he needs testing for Cushing's disease and cancer at Astoria Veterinary Group. His health issues are breaking Courtney's heart, and she's struggling to pay for all his medical care. "There is nothing more important to me than Rinkles," Courtney says. "He's a registered emotional support dog." Courtney recently lost her job but just got her third master's degree and is job hunting. She is hoping kind animal lovers in the Waggle community will give to help Rinkles during this terrible time.

Hi everyone! Sabrina, aka, Beanie is my cat of 12 years. I have had her since the day she was born and she is, quite frankly, my little baby. She will be 13 years old in October and is enjoying her life as a spoiled, slightly overweight, and loved senior cat. Unfortunately, senior cats come with unexpected and very large vet bills. As a single 23 yro cat mom it can be a struggle sometimes! Beanie sleeps with me right by my chest every night and snores like an old man. She loves to sit in on zoom calls and is the best study buddy a girl could have. She loves to talk and will sit there all day conversing if you let her! She has calico attitude but is also the sweetest baby who loves kisses and belly rubs. Beanie has 3 other siblings that she tolerates and will sometimes play with. Beanie loves to hang out with me, whether it's helping me in the kitchen by begging for food or sleeping next to me while we watch Youtube videos. She loves to watch mice on TV every morning after breakfast and listen to birds in the trees outside. Beanie and I love to sun bathe together on a nice sunny day and get a tan (haha). She is my companion, baby, and friend all in one. Beanie will need surgery to remove a mass on her leg as well as well as have a biopsy of the mass. The biopsy is essential as it will tell us whether or no the mass is cancerous or benign. During this surgery, she will also need a dental cleaning and possible teeth removal. All of these procedures are absolutely essential for Beanie's health. Unfortunately, the cost of Beanie's surgery, biopsy, and dental cleaning has been an unexpected expense after a routine checkup. This is major expense with no emergency fund and it is absolutely ESSENTIAL that I test Beanie for cancer.
Barbour

Barbour is only four months old and has already had a traumatic life. He ended up in an animal shelter gasping for breath and barely able to walk. When One By One Animal Advocates heard about this sweet, injured kitten who was struggling to live, they rushed him to Proctorville Animal Clinic. X-rays revealed a horrific glimpse of the abuse Barbour suffered: He had a traumatic tear in his diaphragm. The wall inside his body was ripped on both sides, and his leg was fractured. The veterinarian suspects someone kicked this tiny, innocent kitten and caused these devastating injuries. Now Barbour needs urgent surgery to fix his diaphragm and leg. "Without us being there to assist him, Barbour would have faced euthanasia at the shelter," Heather A., from One By One, tells Waggle. "Repairing his diaphragm is a very complicated surgery, and repairing his leg will be another operation. But once he heals, he will be the perfect addition to a wonderful family." With your help, Barbour can have a second chance and learn there are people who will love him and not hurt him! "His life hung in the balance, and we stepped in to help," Heather says. "Barbour is your typical, sweet kitten that has just had a rough start. He needs immediate medical help now so he can be on the way to recovery and his new home."
BELLA
Bella is a four-year-old German Shepherd in Wooster, OH, who needs $2,000 for urgent leg surgery.

Pamela S. is one of hundreds of thousands of U.S. veterans with PTSD. But when Bella is by her side, her anxiety is at ease. "She is my service dog," Pamela tells Waggle. "I take her everywhere. I can't be without her. She calms me down when I get triggered. She loves on me and is always sensitive to my needs." Recently Pamela noticed Bella wasn't herself. "One day, she refused to get on my bed or couch to lay with me," Pamela says. "I knew something was wrong. I took her to the vet. They said she ruptured her cruciate ligament, and if she doesn't have surgery, she will eventually be unable to walk. I am heartbroken. I saved up $1000, and her surgery is $4000." All Pamela wants is for Bella to be pain-free and back by her side. Pamela is frantically trying to raise the money for Bella to have her operation at the Cleveland Road Animal Hospital. "I sold stuff last week so that I could pay for X-rays," Pamela says. "I am on a fixed income as a disabled veteran. I recently spent my savings on health issues and relocation. I am a divorced woman struggling with all the violence in the world. It would mean the world to me to get Bella better. I can't live without her." Pamela says in addition to Bella being her service dog, she also has quite the personality. "She says she loves me and howls to American Idol," Pamela adds. "She knows when I am sad. She never leaves my side. Bella is my guardian angel. She is a gift from above."
