Then her house caught on fire, and then her dog, Lady, was attacked. "Lady has been the victim of the most hateful crime any human can commit on an animal," Jennifer tells Waggle. "She was stabbed multiple times and now has to go through multiple surgeries to save her life. Yesterday she went through almost a five-hour surgery, and today she had to have a second surgery. She suffered over seven stab wounds, a piece of her vertebrae is broken. She has a punctured lung and stomach." Jennifer would do anything to save Lady, but she needs your help raising the money for Lady's medical bills, which are skyrocketing. Before Lady was attacked, she was a spunky, bouncy loving family member. "Lady is a rambunctious, fun-loving dog. She likes to hop, not run. She thinks she's a bunny. She lets all us lay with her or on her when we're watching TV," Jennifer says. "She likes to spin in circles and fight with the water hose when you leave it on. She's overly loving and a great family dog." Lady is being cared for by the medical team at Washington Boulevard Animal Hospital. Wade
Wade is a 2-year-old Long hair in Enfield, CT, who needs $2,000 for Perineal Urethrostomy.

Two years ago we adopted Wade and his brother Remy, as kittens from a local cat rescue as pets for our twin boys. These two fluffy boys fit so perfectly into our home. Unfortunately, Remy died from heart complications about a year ago. Wade still has another older brother, Logan, who he enjoys napping with and chasing around at night. Wade has a large presence in our home. He is the most social and talkative cat, I have ever met. He loves endless belly rubs and watching the birds out the window. Wade enjoys spending his afternoons sleeping the boys bed or sunning himself with Logan. Wade loves to greet any guests that visit and will always take extra cuddles. At night he loves playing with Logan and making a lot of noise. We are still paying for Wade’s second procedure ($4k for both treatments). My husband works full time and I stay home with the kids and work two part-time jobs to make ends meet. One of our sons has a speech condition. He has weekly appointments for therapy treatment Wade has had two urinary blockages so far this year (January & March). Even though he was on prescription pet food he blocked a second time. It’s the vets recommendation to do a PU (Perineal Urethrostomy) surgery to help significantly reduce the chance of another blockage. Due to Wade’s young age the vet believes it would be in Wade’s best interest to prevent any future pain or complications. Wade is beyond special! He is a big boy with an outgoing and loving personality. He is truly a big part of our day. If he’s not watching birds or napping, he can be found hanging out with the family! We enjoy our conversations during the day and his little reminders to take a break and give him a belly rub. Everyone simply adores him.
Voltron
Voltron is a 11-year-old Terrier mix in Cambridge, MN, who needs $1,700 for emergency care and surgery.

Voltron limped his way back home, bleeding and in pain. His shocked human family found a trail of blood leading from their mailbox, up the driveway, and to the house. No one knows what happened, Voltron may have been hit by a car. What was clear: Voltron was critically injured. "My husband said, 'I think his leg is broken. It's bleeding everywhere,'" Alicia Z., Voltron's human mom, tells Waggle. Alicia is a veterinary technician, and when she saw Voltron's leg, she was stunned. "I said, 'I can't fix that!' I rushed him to the animal hospital. He was in shock. His heart rate was high. His blood pressure was high. All his tendons were shredded, and a lot of his skin was missing. His nerves were exposed and frayed," Alicia says. Things were looking grim. The medical team at the Animal Emergency Referral Center of Minnesota stabilized Voltron but ultimately decided his leg could not be saved. Now Alicia and her family are struggling to pay the thousands of dollars needed for his emergency care and amputation surgery. "I said, 'How are we going to pay for this? How are we going to afford this? I can't do this.' But euthanizing Voltron was not an option," Alicia says. Currently, Alicia's family is overwhelmed with medical emergencies. She is not working because she is suffering from a horrible case of shingles that are not going away. She says doctors are trying to figure out if an autoimmune disorder is causing it. And next week, her daughter may need surgery to put tubes in her ears. Alicia decided to create a Waggle campaign. She has dedicated her life to helping animals. Now she and her family need a little help. "I am a certified veterinary technician. In my profession, I try to give everyone I meet kindness, but now, unfortunately, I need a little help for my own dog. He is my best friend, and our family needs him. Voltron gets tucked into bed next to me every night. He sleeps under the covers until my husband decides to crawl into bed. We have two daughters who cuddle and play with him every day," Alicia says. Can you help Voltron get the surgery he desperately needs? "Thank you so much for helping us out," Alicia adds. "Even though this situation is hard both mentally and financially, I am so blessed to still have my dog, even if he is a defender of the universe only with three legs. Besides, he will make a very cute tripod."

His name is Chico he is my sons emotional support dog. We have had him since he was 6 weeks old and now he is 9 months old. He is a loving dog and likes to play we live in a 3 bedroom apartment in hot springs Arkansas he likes going to the dog park and playing with his brother and he loves squeaky toys He likes to play with toys he enjoys cuddling and giving kisses he likes outside and enjoys walks he loves sleeping under someone or in a warm bed under the blankets he likes to ride in cars and look up the window and he loves to be held in your arms and cuddled are for you to kiss him his favorite spot to sleep is under the blanket or under your neck His best friend is his brother and owner which is my son. Chico is an emotional support dog for my son they like to play outside or play with their toys he likes to sit in a rocking chair and have you rocking and he likes to play fetch he likes for you to throw his toys and he'll run and fetch them and bring them back to you He is sick and cant afford to bring him to.the vet. He has been throwing up and wants to lay around and sleep. He will go outside and play and walk but wont eat or drink. He needs to see a vet but we cant afford it I'm on fixed income he been sick 2 days don't know what to do I have been syringe giving him water but he will not eat I'm on a fix income due to a back surgery i had 16 yr ago I'm barely paying the bills where we live its a struggle then our baby fell sick my sons been down because Chico is his emotional support dog we need him well and back happy and playful

Hello, my name is Jerrilyn, As you may already know I lost my son to active violence in Avondale he left behind his dog which was his prize possession and it's the last thing we have of him that's holding our family together in this difficult time however most recently he is eating something he wasn't supposed to and now needs abdominal surgery to save his life after the financial of his Furneral After the funeral and lawyer feed for my son, we just don’t have enough to save his dog! He is the only this we have left of my 16 year old son! I just can not stand to lose that dog, his brothers would be crushed that’s the last thing of his we have of his! My younger boys care for that dog just as he would have I just had to spend 7000 to bury my son June 24th and I am trying to raised money for lawyer fees so he can have legal representation for his murder trail! So we just don’t have the money for his surgery He swallowed something and it’s stuck in his stomach, he need surgery to remove it! The surgery is a 1700 dollars! I can send the medical papers that they gave us at the vet! A lot of things I can not even begin to spell are on this paperwork! Such as Gastromoy lactad ringer hydromorphone injections He is special because uase he was my sons price possession! Scooby has been so depressed since my sons death! Sadie

What you can't see from Sadie's heart-wrenching shelter photos is how she sat shaking in her kennel and had lost hope. Her face was cracked and bleeding. She lost a large amount of hair on her body and was in agony. "She was trembling with fear," Mark R., the head of Southern California Pit Bull Rescue, tells Waggle. "It broke my heart seeing the condition she was in." When a rescue volunteer first saw Sadie, she contacted Mark, who immediately went to the shelter and saved the dog. He was utterly perplexed about what had happened to Sadie. "Her face was covered in dried blood," he says. "I didn't know if she was attacked by other dogs? Was she used as a bait dog? Was it some sort of mites?" Mark got Sadie in the car and drove as fast as he could to VCA Westlake Village Animal Hospital, where the medical team went to work trying to help her. Sadie's skin was so dry her tear ducts stopped producing tears. It appears that Sadie may have been used for breeding and had many litters of puppies. "She was probably just a money-making machine for someone, and when they didn't want her anymore, they just threw her away," Mark adds. After many tests, it appeared horrendous food allergies were the culprit behind Sadie's pain and skin condition. Sadie got medication to ease her suffering, antibiotics to help her skin infection, was treated for all her medical issues, and was spayed; her puppy-making days are over. The rescue spent more than $2,000 on Sadie's care, and they're hoping big-hearted pet lovers will help donate toward her veterinarian bills. "I can't rescue these amazing dogs without people opening their hearts and their wallets," Mark says. "We are nonprofit and depend on people helping us help the voiceless."
Tiny

Tiny and her sister Tina were adopted in July 2020 from the PetSmart in Amsterdam, NY, after being fostered by Kitten Angels. Their mom saw them on one of her visits to the store and fell in love, applying for adoption after discussing it with her partner. The sisters joined resident male cats Nosey (Orange DSHL and Maki (black DSH) in their home in Sharon Springs, NY. Tiny and Tina are a bonded pair, so they naturally gravitate toward each other first. They are the perfect pair of 'Disney's sisters: Tina is stocky and muscular, while Tiny is lean and sleek. Both cats are a bit leery of strangers, but are very affectionate with family members they commonly see. They love their adoptive parents very much, often sleeping on their bed at night. Chemotherapy for Tiny's lymphoma will easily range from $3-4K up to nearly $8K for the 'Gold Standard treatment. Both her people work full time and have no emergency fund for that amount of treatment on their own. In mid-July 2021, Tiny started showing signs of illness. Her breathing became heavier and she had trouble eating. She was taken to the vet for evaluation; after a referral for an ultrasound and a biopsy, she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Her cancer treatment is being coordinated with Dr. Vermillion of Upstate Veterinary Specialties in Latham, NY. Of the two sisters, Tiny is the bigger snugglebug. She loves to curl up with her people, and will often start purring as soon as she is touched. To say her purr is loud is an understatement; her parents joke that she has a purr like a turbo diesel engine. Her favorite snuggle time is in the morning, as her people are waking up. It isn't uncommon for her to roll over and ask for a belly rub!

Lily is a two-year-old Mastiff in Weare, NH, who needs $650 for emergency porcupine quill removal.

Every dog owner knows it takes one second for things to go from normal to completely haywire. That's what happened to Crystal M. Her dog Lily was just fine, and then blam! Lily ended up with an entire face full of excruciatingly painful quills after a chance encounter with a porcupine. Now Crystal is panicking, she can't afford the medical bill to have them removed, and Lily is in a world of hurt. "I got a lot of quills out but not enough," Crystal tells Waggle. "She needs to be sedated and have these removed. I've applied for several loans, including Care Credit, Scratchpay, personal loans, and credit cards. All have been denied." Crystal created this Waggle campaign hoping kind-hearted pet lovers will help Lily. Clearly, she needs immediate attention. Everywhere she turns for help is turning into a dead end. "We recently moved and no longer have a regular vet," Crystal says. "I've applied for all types of loans and credit cards but cannot get approved and do not have a vet nearby that will accept payments." All Crystal wants this holiday season is for Lily to be free of the quills, out of pain, and back with her family. "I've had this girl since she was born," Crystal says. "She's the sweetest girl in the world. She needs to go to an emergency vet. The only one that would give an estimate said it would cost $850 to sedate her and pull them." Hi everyone! About 8.5 years ago, I was in a pretty serious relationship. We decided to buy a puppy and he quickly became my best friend. This relationship became very toxic and it was beginning to turn very physical. I was thrown down the stairs, held at gun point, throw a stone at my face, and Oakley and I were left on the streets. This made the bond between us stronger than you can imagine. Oakley is the sweetest, nicest, and most caring dog you will ever meet. I always said it is like he’s a wise old man in a dog body. He has been my literal protector from my abuser, my shoulder to cry on, and the best friend I’ll ever have. To know my sweet boy, is to love him. He makes everyone smile just by seeing his happy go lucky personality and cute little face. Oakley is a mama’s boy. He makes it known that mama is his favorite and he knows I would lay my life for him and he’s safe. And I feel the same way. Before he was sick, he would do anything for anybody to slide them their leftovers! Everyone that has met him has always said they don’t think he’s a dog, because he’s so thoughtful and sweet! That’s just who he is, my boy. About 2 weeks ago we noticed him drinking extra water and using the bathroom more often. Then, he started having accidents at night if we wasn’t able to go out every 2 hours. Now he is not eating anything, being lethargic, physically crying in pain, shaking, and not even be able to get up to go out anymore. Oakley was diagnosed with acute kidney failure and will need a weeks stay in the hospital. I lost my job due to Covid. I have been on 15 job interviews and applying daily so I can start work as soon as possible, but Oakley is my #1. He needs to get better and that is my top priority. This financial help would allow me to put all my energy into getting him better.
