We found Suzuki under a house when she was 3-4 weeks old she has been fighting an undiagnosed nasal respiratory issue. Now she has developed a mammary mass and is in need of a nasal endoscopy in order to try and figure out what is wrong with her sinuses and why she is having forehead swelling. I am a retired disabled veteran on a fixed income and I cannot afford the cost of both operations She has been being seen by Timbers veterinary in Sutherlin Oregon. Timbers veterinary recommended an urgent spay as they suspect it is hormonal and she needs to be checked for polyps due to her nasal issues She is a character she earned her name as she runs through the house making motorcycle noises as she cannot play with out making her sound affects and due to her nasal issues she has to taste everything as she has issues smelling We are on a fixed income and are already in debt with care credit trying to get her diagnosed and healthy again we have put so much love and time into her that we can’t bare to see her continue to get worse she is the star of the house making everyone smile on a bad day

My beautiful calico queen Whiskers came into my life 11 years ago. She was a wild kitten in need of a loving safe space to become the magnificent cat she is. From climbing walls and tearing through the house to patrolling for mice and baking biscuits she's been exactly what my heart needed. Whiskers is so brave and full of life she never goes a day without rolling in the sunshine. Whiskers in going in for an emergency visit after signs of lethargy, loss of appetite and pale gums. As of right now we will be doing a basic exam, blood work and likely xrays to rule out any heart issues, intestinal obstructions or internal injury. Whiskers absolutely loves patrolling her territory, she will perch on the roof outside of my window for hours sometimes. Watching the neighbors and birds. Surveying her small kingdom and all that goes on within it. Spoiled as could be she sprints at the sound of a can opener for her share of the tuna water. She's the prettiest biscuit maker in the west. My income covers the basics and staples of our household ever so tightly. With uncertainty the need for multiple test/exams is a scary thought. Whiskera has been my constant love for 11 years. In the past I've been lucky enough to cover costs but right I'm unable to.

Titus is a stunning, mostly white cat who should have been safe and loved indoors. Instead, he was abandoned outside by his previous owners and left to fend for himself in the harsh South Florida sun. White cats are especially vulnerable outdoors—their delicate skin burns easily, and they often struggle to survive. When a community member noticed how badly Titus’s nose was suffering and reached out for help, Adopt a Cat Foundation immediately agreed to take him in. By then, his nose was already raw and inflamed from relentless mosquito bites. With his light fur and a likely allergy to the bites, he had developed what rescuers call “mosquito nose”—a painful condition that causes dermatitis. This week, Titus will see our veterinarian for a full exam and the medication he needs to reduce the swelling, soothe his skin, and heal the potential secondary bacterial infection. Titus has already endured so much, but with your help, his story doesn’t have to end in pain. Meet Misty, a sweet senior cat who has faced a lot of change in her life recently. When her elderly human had to move to assisted living, Adopt a Cat Foundation agreed to give Misty a safe place to stay. Misty has corneal scarring, and her vet believes she may be fully or partially blind in one eye. Recently, Misty became lethargic, congested, and stopped eating. A trip to the vet revealed a serious upper respiratory infection, which she is now being treated for. Senior cats don’t bounce back as quickly as younger cats, and this treatment requires careful monitoring and supportive care. A shelter is no place for a senior cat like Misty. She needs a calm environment and a loving home where she can rest, heal, and feel secure. From Forgotten to Found: Tyson’s Road to Recovery

You wouldn’t believe it if you didn’t see it yourself—just two tiny eyes glowing in the dark, peeking from the middle of an empty field. That’s where we found Tyson, a little black Lab puppy who had been tied up and left behind. His ear was torn, raw flesh exposed, and his body was weak from days without food. His owners didn’t want him anymore, so they tied him up to a tree and abandoned him. When we approached, Tyson didn’t growl or run. Despite the pain, he looked up at us with eyes full of hope. We rushed him to safety and began treating his wounds, easing his pain, and helping him rest for the first time in days. He’s now in one of our quarantine rooms, eating small meals, walking again, and slowly learning that the world isn’t as cruel as it once seemed. Tyson is still healing. He’s on a custom medical plan with a special diet, daily wound care, and Bravecto to protect him from parasites that could put his fragile immune system at risk. Tyson, and every pup in our care, receives individualized attention, because that’s what it takes to undo the harm they’ve survived. Your support can help Tyson continue this journey. Previous owners abused & abandoned her. She was then attacked by raccoons while living outside my old apartment. My neighbor was feeding her. She and I both moved. Both of us decided not to leave her behind. We agreed she would keep her & I would pay for her shots and a check-up at the vets. The neighbor couldn't handle her or afford to feed her anymore. I decided to take her home & keep her. Not having medical care after her attack caused her to go blind in one eye and become deaf. She scratched her blind eye, and it started to heal, but she did it again. I made a vet appointment, and while waiting to see the vet, she scratched 2 more times which caused it to bleed & bulge out. The vet said she needed to have her eye taken out immediately. Total Pet Care Animal Hospital It took a year to be able to pet her. She would bite you if you tried her nickname was Jaws. She loves pets, nightly treats she loves sleeping on my bed. She has 2 sisters. Tina & my 10-year-old are both Calicos, they both hiss at each other, it's funny my 10-year-old has no teeth & Tina can't hear, my other cat is a sweet tabby, is always checking up on her. Tina is very loved & spoiled. I am in the middle of changing careers from the Beauty Industry to the Insurance Industry. The day I got let go from my job due to a lack of training is the same day I found out Tina needs to have her eye removed a soon as possible. I would be devastated if I lost her.

Help Winston Overcome His Life-Threatening Condition

At just 10 months old, Winston came to A Pathway to Hope on the brink of euthanasia after being diagnosed with a life-threatening urinary blockage. His owner, unable to manage his care and unknowingly contributing to his condition through improper nutrition, had run out of options. With no other rescue able to take on the financial burden, and despite already facing over $30,000 in recent emergency medical costs, they couldn't say no to sweet Winston. They were his only hope. As a result of never receiving proper cat food or vital nutrients, Winston developed a severe Vitamin C deficiency that led to skeletal damage. His bones were brittle and underdeveloped, and advanced imaging revealed multiple fractures: old breaks in his pelvis and at least one new spinal fracture. These injuries left him unable to posture to urinate, resulting in repeated and untreated urinary tract infections that ultimately caused multiple blockages. It took four hospitals and numerous diagnostics to uncover the full picture. He was transferred to 24-hour hospitalization for a urinary blockage (underlying cause not yet known). After being discharged, his condition rapidly declined, prompting a second emergency visit to the vet. But due to suspected neurological concerns, he was transferred to a specialist; however, he showed no signs of neurological abnormalities. The critical care team performed an ultrasound, revealing cystitis and bladder wall thickening, along with advanced X-rays and additional diagnostics. It was through these images and the expertise of the medical team that the true cause of Winston’s condition was finally uncovered: severe nutritional deficiency and resulting orthopedic trauma. Throughout this ordeal, Winston has been in excruciating pain from his fractured spinal cord and healing pelvis, only to be managed right now with IV pain medication. His initial hospitalization alone carried a cost of over $2,000. The ongoing estimate for Eclipse Specialty Hospital now totals $9,718 before a generous 20% discount. Even as medical costs climbed, they continued advocating for Winston. Their team tracked down his former owner and asked detailed questions that proved crucial in understanding the root of his condition. Today, Winston remains hospitalized on IV pain management and a carefully monitored treatment plan. He is expected to remain in the hospital for at least 48 more hours while his urinary catheter is in place, his pain is stabilized, and he begins eating independently. He’s slowly accepting spoon feeding and Churu treats—small steps on a long road. Despite everything, Winston’s prognosis is hopeful. With proper supplements, balanced nutrition, and 4–6 weeks of crate rest, his fractures are expected to heal and his bones to strengthen. Thanks to a collaborative, multi-hospital effort, the dedication of exceptional medical professionals, and the unwavering commitment of volunteers who refused to give up—along with your support—Winston now has a real chance at life. Winston’s life would have ended not from a lack of medical solutions, but from a lack of resources. Because this amazing rescue said yes—and because of compassionate supporters like you— Winston is still here, fighting for the future he deserves. Will you continue to support him? Update 8/20/25 Winston had his recheck last week, and we have wonderful news! 💙 This brave little survivor is doing SO well. His bloodwork was improved, and his medical team is thrilled with his progress. As he heals, Winston is starting to move more – and his sassy, quirky personality is shining through! He remains on strict crate rest to allow his pelvic and spinal fractures to mend and is receiving supplements to support his recovery. After surviving on nothing but chicken, he’s still picky, but we’re celebrating the small victories! Winston is finally eating cat food, including dry food and being spoon-fed Churu treats like the king he is. 👑

My daughter was searching the local dog shelter for a dog that needed a home. She came across Olivia. At the time, Olivia was at the shelter for approximately 6 months. She was roughly 3 months when she was found wandering the busy streets in our town. We made arrangements with the shelter to meet Olivia and the rest is history. Our canine family member Olivia loves to chew on towels, blankets and alike. We did everything we could to keep Olivia from chewing on these items but every once in a while we would catch her nibbling on something she wasn’t suppose to. This lead to a serious blockage in her intestines. We found Country Willow Vet Hospital who was willing to do the surgery for a fraction of what our vet was. It didn’t take long for Olivia to become a loving member of our family. Whether it would be napping with my mom, watching the Mets or playing with and guarding my grandchildren in our yard we are blessed to have her in our lives. Being on SS disability for colon cancer, I dont have the funds needed to cover the entire cost of the operation. Since adopting Olivia, she rarely lets me out of her site. I couldn’t imagine a day with out my loving and cherished Olivia.
Toothless
Tiny Toothless Needs Help Recovering From Emergency Eye Surgery

Toothless is a tiny black kitten with a big spirit at just four months old. When Saving Hope Rescue first learned about him, he had goopy eyes and seemed a bit under the weather. But things quickly took a turn. His condition worsened fast, and one of his eyes became dangerously infected. The plan was to wait until he was big enough for anesthesia, but his little body could not hold out any longer. At just over one pound, Toothless was in critical condition. One of his eyes had ruptured, causing immense pain and putting him at serious risk of further infection. He may be small, but his will to live is strong. The veterinary team knew waiting was no longer an option, and he was rushed into emergency surgery to remove the damaged eye and give him the best chance at life. Thankfully, the emergency surgery went as well as anyone could’ve hoped, and Toothless is now steadily recovering under the careful of his dedicated foster. But this was just the start of a lengthy recovery journey—which consists of post-op care and vet follow-ups. How anyone could let ANY soul get to this point is beyond us. It is, for lack of better terms, beyond horrific and downright inexcusable. Yet, poor Toothless is in this position, and this is his reality. And while we may not know just what was behind his pain, we DO know – either way you slice his cake – he has lived a life of horror. And he's faced much of it alone. However, WE know that Toothless has SO much left ahead of him, and SO much love left to give. Please send Toothless some extra-warm thoughts, and please consider making a donation if you can.
