Talia
Talia is a 3 year old Siberian Husky in Bakersfield, CA, who needs $7,000 for TPLO Surgery for Hind Right Knee.
Bakersfield, CA
Talia was a rescue that in turn rescued me. Talia was abandoned in a field south of our town. She was left with no food or water. We brought her to our home when she was around 7 months old based on dental records. Talia became my Sobriety Dog. Talia now lives with my wife and I as well as our 7 year old husky Socrates. Talia was living her best life until the gruesome injury. I was taking both huskies to the groomers when Talia was able to pull her leash from my hands. Talia sprinted down the neighborhood and fully ruptured her CCL while on the uneven yards and street.. It is the same injury as a human ACL tear in the knee. The specialized vet is BRVSS of Bakersfield. The surgery procedure is TPLO with an estimated cost between $6000-$7000. W rescued Talia and in doing so She rescued me. Talia is able to sense when my anxiety is high and she will climb into my lap. By Talia doing this, it causes me to redirect my attention in a different direction without me even realizing it at the moment. Talia isn’t just a pet, she is a part of our family. Now that she needs my help, We are unable to afford the surgery she needs. I missed almost a month of work with bad discs in my back. The place they sent me to get physical therapy was not clean. I ended up contracting shingles there. That caused me to miss another month of work. This surgery is $6-7000. Talia is my life.

Roxie
Roxie is a 1 year old Bull Terrier in Bakersfield, CA, who needs $8,128 for Right Humeral Shaft Fracture Repair.
Bakersfield, CA
We adopted our sweet Roxy a few months ago from San Diego. She lives indoors with me, my fiancé, and our four children, including our newborn. She is fully part of our family and daily routine. The kids named her Roxy and it stuck. We call her our “little baby mamas,” and she gets so excited she zooms around the living room. She is loved deeply and treated like one of our babies every single day. During a bath, Roxy panicked, jumped from the tub, slipped on wet tile, and injured her right front shoulder. She cried immediately and has had swelling, stiffness, difficulty bearing weight, and decreased appetite since. She is normally very active and playful. Her x-rays were completed by Dr. Utt at Auburn Pet Hospital to evaluate possible fracture, ligament injury, or soft tissue damage. Roxy is affectionate, playful, and incredibly bonded to our family. She squeezes in behind us on the couch just to cuddle close and follows the kids from room to room. She loves squeaky toys and little footballs, shaking them side to side with determination. She comes running at the sound of a treat bag. She brings constant laughter, comfort, and love into our home, and the kids adore her. I had a complicated C-section in January and suffered postpartum hemorrhaging due to a blood disorder. I’m not cleared to return to work. My fiancé lost his job after staying home to help care for me and our newborn. We’re struggling financially and can’t afford the costs.

Willie Lucinda Bell Frias
Willie Lucinda Bell Frias is a 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog in Bakersfield, CA, who needs $9,133 for Tibial Crest Fracture Repair and Pin Removal.
Bakersfield, CA
Willie Lucinda Bell Frias joined our family the Wednesday before Thanksgiving after we found her at our local shelter, shyly hiding behind her brothers. She lives indoors in our loving home and is a little sister to her big brother. Willie loves to run, play tag, dance with her dad, and cuddle with her mom. She is deeply loved and truly part of our family. 💛 Willie’s injury happened suddenly and unexpectedly. In a split second, she jumped out of a car window before we could react. We immediately rushed her to the veterinarian, where X-rays showed a serious injury to her leg requiring surgery. This was an accident, and we are doing everything we can to ensure she receives the care she needs to heal properly and return to being an active, happy puppy. Willie is the heart of our home. She greets us with full-body wiggles and follows us from room to room just to be near us. She plays tag with her big brother, dances excitedly with her dad, and melts into cuddles with her mom at night. Willie is gentle, affectionate, and deeply bonded to our family. Her love is constant, joyful, and unconditional, and she truly completes our home. We are a one-income household caring for other family needs, and this unexpected expense is overwhelming. Willie’s surgery is estimated at $5,055–$5,883, with a follow-up of $2,408–$3,250. These costs are beyond what we can manage alone. Having her healthy again would mean e

His “sister’ and my moms dog Needs surgery on both knees to so they don't get worse. already shows arthritis. The surgery will also keep that from getting worse Bakersfield Regional Veterinary Surgical Specialty or BRVSS, Bakersfield, CA He is my soul dog. If it wasn’t for him and my other dog I would be lost. He has had bad anxiety since the day we adopted him at 3 mouths old and I do not think it would have been a happy ending if I didn’t get him. He is now 3 and has come a long way. He loves walks, the beach, the pool and has a love/hate for the park. He Loves his “sister” and is civil with my moms dog I do not work and have been looking into disability, my parents have been helping out. unfortunately I was never able to get pet insurance, but had been looking into it before he got hurt. He went in to have one leg looked and found out both were having problems

Arlo
Arlo is a 4 month old Pug in Hawthorne, CA, who needs $2,000 for Medial Condyle Fracture Repair.
Hawthorne, CA
We rescued Arlo three months ago under heartbreaking circumstances. He was being sold outside a Walmart by his previous owner, and since he was one of the last puppies left, they were planning to throw him in the dumpster. Thankfully, friends of ours stepped in and saved him just in time, and we were lucky enough to bring him into our home. Arlo, our sweet 4-month-old pug, recently fractured his elbow after jumping off the couch. We took him to VCA Animal Hospital, where the vet confirmed that he needs surgery to heal properly. Without it, he may have permanent issues with his leg. As a college student, I can't afford the cost, and I’m asking for help to give Arlo the care he desperately needs to walk and play again. Arlo is the sweetest, most playful puppy. He’s full of energy, loves snuggling, and follows me everywhere I go. Even at the vet, despite the pain from his injury, he was still licking the doctor, showing his loving nature. He’s brought so much joy and light into my life, and I want to give him the chance to heal and keep spreading that happiness. He truly deserves a pain-free life. As a first-generation college student working two jobs, I wasn’t prepared for Arlo’s sudden injury and the cost of his surgery. It’s been overwhelming. Having him healthy again would mean the world to me. Any support would give him a chance at a happy life.

Teddy
Teddy is a 8-year-old Chow Chow in Bakersfield , CA, who needs $2,000 for Knee Surgery.
Bakersfield, CA
While I was married, we adopted Teddy as a puppy. He is a well socialized Chow who loves humans and other dogs. After the separation, Teddy and I lived in motel rooms that accepted dogs until I was able to get stable housing. He is now eight years old and it’s just the two of us. Teddy is the only pup in the household. He interacts well with humans and other dogs. He enjoys riding in the car, the dog park, visits from fur friends, and long walks. Since the knee problem started, he misses walking. Teddy is an amazing and sweet boy. He understands English and anticipates what we will be doing next. Teddy’s personality and behavior reminds me of the Dog Whisperer’s dog “Daddy.” He’s super mellow. He enjoys the dog park, walking and chilling out. He loves other dogs. No matter how much pain he’s in these days, he’s always waiting at the door when I come home. On Christmas Day Teddy began limping at the end of his daily walk. After two vet visits, he was referred to an orthopedic vet who recently diagnosed Teddy with a displaced knee cap. Although I work two jobs, I cannot afford to pay for the surgery. Teddy misses his daily walks and is on pain meds twice a day. His knee is stage two-three of four and if I delay, stage four will be inoperable.

Bella
Bella is a 1-year-old Border collie/ lab in Bakersfield , CA, who needs $2,372 for Medial patella location repair.
Bakersfield, CA
We adopted Bella from a local shelter. She was brought there with 5 of her 7 week old brothers and sisters. She was the chubbiest one out of all of her litter mates. When we brought Bella home she fit right in with our other animals and so very playful! She was and is so smart and a very fast learner. Bella has a family of four that she lives with. She also has her BFF Boomer who is a chihuahua mix and 2 cats, Figaro and Oliver that she loves to chase around the house. We live close to a park and she goes on 2, or 3 or sometimes 4 walks every day. She also has a back yard that she loves to play fetch in but due to her knee injury she’s had to take it easy lately. My husband was recently laid off of work and we are unable to come up with the rest of the money. Bella seems to be limping more lately and I'm afraid she will get worse without the needed surgery. We all love her so much and want to see her happy and running around again. Bella was playing in our backyard with Boomer (the Chihuahua)one afternoon when she let out a yelp and quickly laid down on the ground. She stood up to walk and limped on her left hind leg. We took her to the Vet where XRays were done and she did some damage to her patella on the left knee. She now needs surgery to repair her knee. Her Veterinarian is Bakersfield Regional Vet Surgery Specialty. Everyone that meets Bella loves her and she loves them back. She is a gentle giant especially when it comes to children. She is so patient and kind with our 7 year old and her friends that come to our house. Bella truly enjoys the walks to the park when she gets kids to pet her, we believe that is when she is in her element.
