Phoenix
Sweet Phoenix has a few medical needs. Will you help him?
Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno
One of the fosters for Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno first spotted this sweet boy living in a feral colony on her street. One day, Phoenix had a full tail and the next, one-third of it was suddenly gone. He also has a painful abscess in his mouth that needs medical attention. They knew they couldn't leave him to fend for himself, so the rescue agreed to take Phoenix into their care and give him the treatment he needed to heal. Despite everything he's been through, Phoenix is incredibly sweet. He deserves so much more than life in a feral colony. He deserves a safe home, a soft bed, and a family who will love him forever. Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno is asking for your help to cover Phoenix's veterinary care, medications, and recovery. Every donation helps them continue saying yes to animals like him who simply need someone willing to give them a chance. Please donate if you can. Every dollar, no matter the size, makes a huge difference.

Nuggie
Nuggie is a 3 year old French Bulldog in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $15,000 for IVDD treatment, Physical Therapy, MRI, Medication.
Las Vegas, NV
Nuggie was a brought into our life on Christmas a few years ago. We had seen a listing on craigslist that someone had to get rid of him due to living siutations. We decided to help with the rehoming and paid a rehoming fee. He came home and met our frenchie Rocko and he fell right at home. He slept all day next to him and played. Currently he had to go to the ER because he did not want to walk. He was taken to ER never thought his legs would just randomly give out. I had just seen him during my lunch break & he went out and peed. A wobble here/there but thought he must of slept wrong. Then I came home that night and ate and noticed he didn't come in to greet. He wasn't able to get up. When we got to the vet they said he needed steroids, anti-inflammatory, and pain killers for a chance. Nuggie is special. He loves to roam out in the backyard. Try getting him in. He will be smelling the flowers or rubbing up against the lemon tree or even sunbathing. You have to go outside and round him up to get him in. He loves pupichinos from Starbucks, doggie ice cream, and doggie pizza. He's everyone's best buddy. The family loves taking him everywhere because of how friendly and calm he is. Very unexpected, really no emergency funds, Used what i had savings wise already on the first two ER visits, supplies, and medications. We already have debt and been trying to pay off and now will have to put a pause to try and get Nuggie the help/comfort he needs.

Loki
Loki is a 22 month old German Shepherd Dog in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $5,000 for Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO).
Las Vegas, NV
Loki is our 22 month old German Shepherd/Malinois that we rescued from the shelter at 16 weeks old after he had already been returned 3 times. He was truly meant to be. In honor of our grandmother's late German Shepherd, Thor, we named our new dog Loki, after Thor's brother from Marvel comics. He truly lives up to his mischievous name. Even as his fourth family, we vowed to be his forever family. We took Loki for a drive, and he was excited, but he started limping when we arrived. After a day of pain, we visited the vet, who diagnosed him with a fracture in his left hip joint, estimating treatment costs between $4,200 and $5,200. Unfortunately, we are facing financial difficulties while trying to care for our family. We want Loki to recover Loki loves to go to the park & play with other dogs. He is very sociable but since his injury we don't allow him to play with other dogs because we don't want him to use his injured leg as much to play & wrestle. We did get another puppy so he has a companion named Kona, and they get a long well. He is our first family pet and is the best guard dog! He's always protective & shows us so much love. We've faced financial struggles since our roommate lost his job, leading us to cover more bills and deplete our savings. We pray for Loki's care and hope he can play at the park with friends again and find relief from his pain.

Gracie
Gracie is a 15 year old Dachshund in Las vegas, NV, who needs $2,000 for Physical Therapy and Chemotherapy.
Las vegas, NV
Gracie was a blessing in disguise. Little did I know I need her as much as she needed me. My daughter said the fluffy one that looked like a teddy bear was the one. Gracie went home with us her new mom and dad. She went everywhere with us. If she couldn’t go in somewhere I waited in the truck with her. We had daily talks about everything. She became my most important little person. Dr Nick took some x-rays. Sent them stat to a radiologist to read. Both Dr Nick and the radiologist agreed on the x-rays and said my Gracie girl needed to see a specialist. Dr Nick sent Gracie and I to Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center. I went to the specialty. That’s when I found out Gracie had bone cancer and her hind leg needed to be amputated followed by chemotherapy. She loves to play games her favorite is to get me to follow her around in chase. At nap times she likes to burrow herself into the blankets but her favorite spot is at the top of my head in my pillow. She has had two sister kitties she adores and loves playing with and antagonizing. She loves to play games her favorite is to get me to follow her around in chase. She sleeps right above my head. I said as soon as I got the money I would call but instead I I sold something things took the money down and paid her surgery deposit. She will need physical therapy and chemo.

Shadow
Shadow is a 7 month old Labrador Retriever in Henderson , NV, who needs $2,000 for Femoral Head Repair.
Henderson, NV
I got Shadow about 2 months ago. My sister's friend had a litter of puppies she was taking to the shelter and I wanted to give one a forever home. I'm a single mom and my daughter absolutely loves Shadow they're best friends. A couple of days ago Shadow got out and ran into the street. Poor thing was hit by a truck and she now has a fractured femoral head and pelvis. The vet said she needs a hip replacement or we have to amputate her leg. Either way I already live pay check to pay check and I just want to see my puppy run and play again. Shadow is the sweetest most loving puppy, she's smart and is my daughter's best friend. She loves to play with the neighbors dog and she just is full of love and cuddles all the time. She's smart and fun loving. I work full time but I'm barely making ends meat. Shadow looks so sad and whines all night I feel so bad for her shes so sweet and has so much life it would mean to world to see her run and play with my daughter again

Scallop
Scallop is a 9 month old Mix-Breed in Cedar City, UT, who needs $2,000 for Neurological Diagnostics.
Cedar City, UT
We got Scallop from the local shelter when she was around 5 months old. She now loves living with us and her 4 siblings, Tucker, Hurglet, Oingo, and her angel brother Baseball Bat. For the past few months, Scallop has been rapidly losing weight and losing control of her back legs, bladder, and bowels. She's been seeing Dr Norton at Cedar City Animal Hospital. She's been given a couple different medications but they aren't quite working. They've suggested taking her to a specialist for a diagnosis. Scallop loves her family. She wants to cuddle with mom all day long, and she would if she could. She also loves all her siblings, but loves to cuddle up with Tucker which is so silly to see because he's so much bigger than her. If you're cuddling with her and have to get up, she'll yell at you (she has the quietest, sweetest, cutest yell) until you come back to her. Due to my own health struggles, I lost my job which caused us to deplete all of our savings. I'm now working full time again but not making nearly enough. Being able to afford to get Scallop healthy would mean everything, we love our little baby more than anything

Ethan Lucas
Ethan Lucas is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Las Vegas, , who needs $2,000 for X-ray w Barium, Endoscopy & Colonoscopy.
Las Vegas
Ethan Lucas (EL) came from an acquaintance whom decided to breed their dogs. He was the biggest one of all of them. He loves to eat since a puppy and would let the litter know when food was available. I gave him that name because his my son, not just a dog. His been in my life since he was 2 months old, I have 2 girls (dogs). Live with family & other 3 dogs. When EL had 9 months old he chewed a kitchen mat and swallowed a piece as big as a quarter or a bit bigger. I did research online and found that hydrogen peroxide induces vomit, but he never threw up the piece of mat, I’ve taken him to 5 different vets, done basic testing, come normal. However every week or two he has upset stomach with blood in stool & in bile when vomit. EL is a very good looking dog, he loves to eat, when he doesn’t have an upset stomach. He plays with his full blooded sister and the both have a blast together. Plays with his football & soccer ball. Loves car rides and going to the park. He started in 2024 with fears to sounds and certain things, like vacuum. He is super loyal to his sister. EL enjoys bothering the 5 girls (dogs) that live w/ him I been disabled for over a decade. I been try to survive on my SSDI and credit cards, I took care of my 3 dogs with credit cards, but I can not do so anymore, I have a debt of 11,000.00, plus family whom I also owe. My basic expenses plus my dogs & debt in this high cost liv

Bella
Bella is a 7 year old American Cocker Spaniel in Henderson , NV, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery CCL Repair.
Henderson, NV
I got Bella in Virginia as a 8 week old pup. She was my first dog in my adult life to get at a brand new puppy. Her 2 sisters are also cocker spaniels and are rescues. We live just outside Las Vegas Nevada now in a house that we love. 2 Sundays ago Bella went outside like she normally does and 36 seconds later came in limping. She was in pain and crying. I took her to the ER to be seen and treated. I was informed that she tore the tendons in her knee and will require surgery to repair her knee and return her mobility. She has her first orthopedic surgeon visit tomorrow morning at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center. Bella is my service animal. I am a disabled U.S Army Veteran. She is my companion, my friend and helps me in so many ways. She snuggles me when I am having a rough time. Makes me laugh. Keeps me active and is my baby. She loves all living things and is always there to give and receive love. She is such a kind and loving soul. I do work and receive income but the cost of the surgery she needs is more than I have. I will have an estimate specific to her tomorrow but I was told her surgery starts at $6200. I have some of it but not all. Having her healthy and happy is the most important thing.

Kane
Kane is a 5-year-old French Bulldog in Las Vegas , NV, who needs $2,000 for Spinal Surgery.
Las Vegas, NV
I got Kane when he was just a baby he’s been my road dog ever since never leaves my side he got his name from one of my favorite movies menace to society because he was a wild child since birth. He’s a loving bubbly in your face dog never leaves your side especially when your sick he comforts you he’ll play with you try to make you feel better, he snores so loud but he loves cuddling with everyone and getting a good nap in. If he’s not sleeping he’s running all sprouts the house he never. Stops sniffing Kane will always fight with you or make you pet him and if u don’t he’ll bite you so you do or bring his toys and. Make you play with him he doesn’t accept no for an answer. He’s always in your business so there’s no free time and if he doesn’t inspect it first your not allowed. To have it Kane was just diagnosed with “iVDD”. “iVDD is Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) and is a common source of back pain in dogs, especially in older dogs, but can affect hyper and younger dogs of predisposed breeds. The severity and type of disc injury can vary, ranging from mild discomfort to paralysis.” We just need help with dr bills the surgery he needs is very costly ranges from 7500-10000$ and anything would help I don’t want to put my son down I love him but without the surgery he can be in more pain than anything from being his bubbly jumpy self which sucks

Tombo
Tombo is a 5-month-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $2,000 for Right Sacroiliac Luxation Fracture Repair.
Las Vegas
I found Tombo in the middle of a busy road crawling on 8/22. I thought he was just scared by the oncoming traffic while crossing, but when I stopped to help, I noticed he was dragging his back legs. I took him straight to my vet, and found out he was a stray. The sad news is after the X-ray, it shows that his hip is broken in 3 parts and needs to be taken to a special clinic for hip surgery. After scheduling with the special clinic, Tombo spent two nights with us. once he was fed and taken painkillers, he was eager to explore, disregarding how he couldn’t put any weight on his legs. His purring would resonate throughout the room when I petted him and fed him. Me and my roommate fell in love with him right away, we have to save him. He has a strong fighting spirit, yet cries out at night when he’s feeling lonely. I see the little explorer in him, he's also very calm when my dog tries to see him. Even though we only met for 2 days, I wanted to provide him with a life and a safe home Tombo is a stray who got into a hit-and-run, and I want to save his life. I took him to LVVSC, the doctor estimated Tombo’s age to be around 4-5 months because his growth plate was still there. The doctor will put screws to attach the broken parts, given the age, he expects him to have a full recovery The special surgery isn’t cheap, it is almost 5k, we need this surgery, he can’t heal on his own. I’m using my emergency funds to save his life, and I believe it’s the right thing to do. Tombo is still a baby, and I want to provide him with the life he deserves

Ronin
Ronin is a 11-year-old Terrier Mix in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.
Las Vegas, NV
In Las Vegas people abandon there pets in the desert. I found Ronin on the side of the Blue Diamond Hwy starving and terrified (12 wks old). She had a scar across her head, her ears and four toes had been torn off. I took her home and she was a terrified and wild thing for a while and then one day she accepted that she was safe and she has been my baby ever since, stubborn, funny and sweet. She is my constant companion. I teach at the university and some days I bring her to work even. I have learned that just her presence relaxes the vibe in the classroom. She just sits by my desk and lets students who wish to pet her. She sleeps on my pillow, I am allowed 50%. The first thing we do every morning is walk and then breakfast. She reminds me about loving and being loved. Ronin is Ronin. She has a definite personality. She's a bit of a bully but she also knows when to stop. When I work on the couch she crawls between the back of the couch and me to sleep while I work. She likes chasing balls but will not return them. She likes to stand over my shoulder and watch me do things. Sometimes I think she is a cat. She has a smile and loves to have her tummy scratch. She began limping and it got worse. The pain seemed to increase too. I went to my vet and then a specialist who said both her knees are torn. He said it was genetic but irreversible but that a TPLO for the knees would fix the issue. It will cost all my savings to fix this. I am a adjunct which means I work 9 months out of the year and then part time jobs in summer. I live to the bone. Our hikes and walks are what make life bright for both of us. It is our happy time. Her well is all that matters.

Alli
Alli is a 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier in Henderson, NV, who needs $2,000 for MRI to Aid in Treatment for Idiopathic Epilepsy.
Henderson, NV
Alli came into our lives when we noticed shady characters on a social media platform getting rid of her due to her being deaf. We were looking for a younger pup to bring into our household due to our Shepherd being very motherly and needing a "little one" to teach her mannerisms to. Alli being deaf was never a concern of ours. We picked her up and have been in love ever since! Alli's number one goal in life is to puppy eye mom enough to go to the park daily and check on all the birds at the park. If we dont make it to the park, who is going to make sure the geese are okay?! Alli is the "middle" child, with Lexi (Shepherd, 9 yrs old) being the oldest and Moxi (Black Mouth Cur, 2 yrs old) being the youngest. All are rescues. Alli has a way with people that will make your heart melt. She can put a smile on anyone's face just by existing. She's got so much personality. She may be deaf and suffer from seizures, but it never dims her light. She reminds us on a daily basis to appreciate each day as it comes. Never take a moment for granted. She is ny best friend, my entire world. Alli was diagnosed with Idiopathic Epilepsy on April 2022. She has since had over 20 Grand Mal seizures, lasting over 2 minutes each time. Dr. Fitz has recommended a 5k MRI, as no other test result has came back with any answers as to why her seizures are worsening. I lost my job on Feburary 21, after being remote for 3 years. I was on the path to getting Alli her MRI when I received an unexpected phone call that a remote workers were being fired in two days.:( My Alli is my entire world. I just want her healthy and safe:(

Benji
Benji is a 1-year-old Dachshund in Slc, UT, who needs $2,000 for Liver Shunt Surgery.
Slc, UT • Pitman animal rescue foundation
Benji came into dachshund rescue of Los Angeles on an emergency basis when the owners found out that he needed a liver shunt operation in the next 10 days, and would die without the surgery. This surgery runs between 6000-9000 in socal. So we have set up surgery and a foster home to recuperate in in las vegas which is less expensive. Help him have a long, healthy and happy life! Without surgery he will get weaker and weaker and die. He is a beautiful and sweet baby and we will eventually find him a forever home once he’s healthy He loved to cuddle with his litter mate so we hope to find a home with another friendly young dog. Please help him get his surgery so he can thrive! We don’t know much about him because we are a rescue and have only had him for a day or two but he deserves to life and he needs your help to make his surgery possible Together we can make this happen. He’s a very sweet and innocent little fellow and the vet tells us this is treatable with surgery he can live a good life He is getting surgery on Monday at las Vegas veterinary specialty center Liver shunt is a birth defect where an anatomical abnormality stops the animal from being able to process food and excrete waste products from the blood It must be miserable, he can’t really eat much and doesn’t look very healthy As a rescue we usually need more time than this to claw together funding but there is no time in this case. With a number of people coming together we can make this happen. The surgery with rescue discounts will be around 6,000 and we have raised around 1,800 in 24 hour

Bambi
Bambi is a 12-year-old Coton de Tulear in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $2,000 for CHOP Chemotherapy.
Las Vegas, NV
I never had a Coton de Tulear before but when I was doing my research on hypo allergenic dogs I found the then rare breed and fell in love with their temperment and beautiful hair. I found a reputable breeder and anxiously waited for my puppy. Bambi is now 12 years old. I was married when I got Bambi and we lived in a house. Now I am divorced and we live in a townhouse. Bambi is literally my best friend. He is such a good companion, I swear he reads my mind. He follows me around the house and sleeps in my bed. He enthusiastically goes on his walks, barking all the way to let the neighbor dogs know that he is out! Bambi loves his treats and insists on getting one every time he does a potty. Bambi loves visiting with his little dog friends but he gets over protective of me when he sees a big dog. Bambi's favorite toy is his stuffed monkey and he does unspeakable things with it! Bambi loves to watch TV and when he sees another animal he loves barking at it. He is very vocal and is good at communicating his wants and needs. I discovered lumps in Bambi's neck and feared the worst. I took him to our vet who did a biopsy which came back as Lymphoma. I then took him to an oncologist. They suggested another biopsy to further diagnose the type of lymphoma. That biopsy came back as a rare Small B Cell Lymphoma. Because it is so rare the lab wanted a third biopsy to test for genetics. I have low income because I am on SS Disability. I started working part-time a few months ago because of inflation I needed more money for food and gas. I am behind on my credit cards so I don't have any available credit for his medical bills. I have already spent $1,300.

Riley
Riley is a 8-year-old Mix in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $2,000 for MRI.
Las Vegas, NV
Riley was an owner surrender due to her previous owners having divorced and neither wanting her around to stir up painful memories. However love will always find a way and I rescued Riley from the AF here in Las Vegas on Valentine's Day 2014 as a Valentine's Day gift to my boyfriend of 1 year (and myself!). This sweet girl has proven to be the gift that keeps on giving and has brought eight years' worth of love to our lives. Riley has always been full of energy and charisma, and is our comedic relief during these hard times. She is loyal and sweet, loves cuddling, and is an amazing sister to her rescue brother, Boss, and her four feline siblings, Indie, Alex, Chewie, and Kitten, too. Riley has taken after her cat siblings and LOVES to chase laser beams, but any beam of light will do! She is all legs, and loves to sit in human chairs, often noodling herself into pretzel like positions. She's also incredibly photogenic, and loves to stick her tongue out at the photographer, the 'blep' being her signature photobomb. Recently, Riley had stopped using one of her hind legs, her limp turning to complete lameness within two weeks. Our regular vet suggested a neurology consult at LVVSC after hitting dead-ends on x-rays and physical exams. During the consult, Dr. Gietzen at LVVSC determined it was likely that Riley's lameness was caused by a cancerous tumor in her leg. In 2020, Riley had other non-related medical issues. Turns out, she was just allergic to chicken meat, however the clinic visits and testing that ensued forced me to max out my CareCredit at $4000, as well as my boyfriend's CareCredit as well.

Goosie
Goosie is an 11-year-old Jack Russell Terrier Mix in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $1,200 for Perineal Hernia Repair.
Las Vegas, NV
Goosie has been a member of our family for 5 years, after my son and I rescued him. Before his current health problems, he was always a happy, kind of silly, dog; and still is most of the time. But, because of his hernia, it is getting hard for him to walk and go to the bathroom. And it breaks my heart that I can't make it easier for him, at least not without help. When we rescued Goosie, it became apparent he hadn't had an easy life. He was reclusive and always worried he was going to get kicked or stepped on. All that has changed for him. He now has a loving home. And as of a year ago, he also has a little furry friend. He is so grateful to have found us, and he makes sure to tell us that every day. He smiles the cutest puppy dog smile whenever he sees me. Goosie loves that he found a home where he is loved and feels safe, and he doesn't want to lose it. So when I am sitting too close to a friend, he gets jealous and wiggles between us. He doesn't let other people take him for walks, out of fear he is being given away. And whenever I have someone watch him, he makes sure to tell me how mean they were to him, and how horrible it was, when I return. Goosie has a Perineal Hernia. It is a condition, most common in terriers like himself, where the muscles in his rear, that hold the intestine in place, atrophy. The condition has made it hard for him to poop, and painful to walk. During the consult with Suzanne Hunter at LVVSC here in Las Vegas, she explained to me the risk of a prolapse, and worse, without the surgery to repair the hernia. Everyone experienced loss due to COVID. Mine was the loss of being near my son during the quarantine. The quarantine was lifted, but my son has still been kept from me. So I am in a legal battle for custody of my son. But I now must choose between my son or our furry family.

Sheperd
Shepard is a 10-year-old Shepherd/Basset Hound Mix in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $2,000 for Cancer Treatment.
Las Vegas, NV
We met 10 years ago when my other dog Corgi, which happened to be named Corgi, got cancer. I had decided that I should get another dog so she would not be alone. So I went to the pound and found this beautiful energetic pooch which is a Shepherd/Basset Hound mix. When we locked eyes I knew that he was the one. When I first got him I had left him alone in my loft and I had about 20 rolls of toilet paper from Costco laying around. Well, when I came home and as I was opening the door I just saw this furry gray thing run by at warp speed it looked like a silver smear and as I opened the door I saw that he had redecorated my whole house with the toilet paper, it looked like Halloween. LOL!! Shepard is a big cuddle-bug most of the time. He sleeps at the foot of the bed. However, just before it’s time to get up, he snuggles up right next to me for a little bit and then as soon as he sees sunlight he would start whining and barking demanding his food. He definitely had me trained. I love his facial expressions at certain things especially when he is watching TV with us. Shepard has bone cancer and in order for them to make an accurate determination he needs an MRI which is 3000 dollars. He has always been there for me through all the good times and bad and now I have to be there for him in his bad time. I feel very helpless as he lays there just because I am not as fortunate as some that have the means to save their little loved one. Due to a sudden unexpected expense in my life I have no more savings and am living paycheck to paycheck. I know it’s asking a lot during these times but my Shepie means so much to me. I hope you can help me get the cancer treatment so he can be around me a lot longer.
