Trooper
Trooper is a 2 year old Labrador Retriever in Goshen, IN, who needs $6,500 for Hernia Surgery.
Goshen, IN
Meet Trooper, this handsome fella came into my life as a puppy while I was picking up hay for my goats at a local farm. I had previously rescued an adult male chocolate lab, Cooper locally through a rescue facility and had him for about 10 years until his passing of age. It was within this time that I found out what great companions Labradors really are. Loyal to the end.. Recently trooper had stopped eating and losing weight. This was a concern to me obviously, and I took him straight to the vet. They completed x-rays, stool samples, bloodwork etc. The X-rays showed that his intestine shifted behind his lungs and had pierced a hole in his stomach, causing a blockage and making it difficult to breathe and allow food in with this type of hernia. He needs surgery. Trooper is only 2-1/2 years old and is the friendliest dog to everyone. He’s always near me on the couch, in bed or at my feet. If someone broke into my home he would simply lick them to death. He’s a quiet soul who simply enjoys company and a couple of pats on the head or a hug everyday. 2026 has been a tough year for myself. Lost my job in January. Lost my foot in February and now this news. In April I was awarded a prostheses and building back slowly.. I am still unemployed and my dog has been my companion through these difficult months. He deserves this

Athena
Athena is a 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier in Goshen, IN, who needs $15,000 for Hip, Leg, and Abdominal Surgery.
Goshen, IN
I rescued Athena from a hot car she had been living in in the heat of August almost 3 years ago, she is a very special part of our family along with our 5 other fur babies. Athena is the most gentle, sweet, lovable girl and is so gentle with my 2 year old granddaughter. She loves to sit on our feet, including company and her favorite spot to sleep is at my foot of the bed. I love her so much Athena was struck by a school bus that was speeding. I called our vet but he wouldn't see her so I took her to 2 other vets in Michigan both said weren't equipped to care for her and recommended that I take her to an emergency clinic in Ft Wayne Indiana, which is where she is right now. She needs immediate surgery and I can't afford the amount but I'll do anything to save her life. She saved me Athena loves my family, friends and grandchildren. She gets along well with other dogs and loves attention. Especially sitting on people's feet or just giving you her paw. She loves treats, car rides, snuggles and sleeping in bed next to me. Athena is very much loved and cared for. I don't know what I would do without her My fiance paints and repairs broadcasting towers and hasn't been able to work until recently due to the weather. It's starting to stay warm so he's been able to start work. I desperately need help with paying Athenas vet bills and for her surgery. I can't lose her

Adonis
Adonis is a 4 month old Great Dane in Gas City , IN, who needs $1,500 for Ankle Surgery.
Gas City, IN
This is Adonis. We had an accidental litter with his parents, and it was love at first sight. I decided it wasn’t a good time for a pet so we decided to give him up. And when we did, the person who had him was very mean to him. Then he tried to sell him for a crazy amount of money. So I got him back and he’s been with me ever since. I believe it was truly meant to be. He means the world to me. He’s always been a very healthy dog, has had all of his shots, and he honestly is thriving. Until he fractured his ankle. I took him to Southway Marion Indiana vet and they determined that he has a fracture. In order to completely fix it they have to send us to Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital in Fort Wayne Indiana He is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. He loves his mama(me) if I leave the room he’s right behind me. He never leaves my side. He’s incredibly good with my 9month old niece and loves her to pieces. He’s truly the best dog, even as young as he is. He loves cuddles, car rides, and walks. And he does very well on a leash My boyfriend and I both lost our jobs about a month and a half ago due to our store closing with no prior knowledge of it. We have had to use all of our saving to keep up with bills, food, dog food etc. it’s been extremely difficult and stressful for us.

Mila
Mila is a 4 year old Doberman Pinscher in Edon, OH, who needs $2,000 for Foreign Body Surgery.
Edon, OH
Mila was adopted from a breeder, originally i put a deposit down for a Male but mishaps happened and she ended up picking me and quite literally was the only pup to put her own paw in my hand when i reached out to them. She spends her days at the house with her older sister Violet, and loves chasing her around the yard to play and is the sweetest baby ever. Mila & I are looking to get her foreign body surgery. She's been struggling with bowel movements, vomiting, weakness, depression, and loss of appetite. All Paw's & Claws have been helping us treat her symptoms in hopes she passes whatever is causing the issue but it seems she is still on a decline having lost over 10 LBs in a little over a week's time from dehydration & vomiting her food & water. Mila is the heart of our home—gentle, affectionate, and always by my side. She loves cuddles, being the little spoon, and carrying her ball everywhere. She greets everyone like an old friend and brings calm, loving energy to our family. Her loyalty, warmth, and sweet nature make her truly one of a kind. Last winter, both my cars broke down, leaving me jobless and behind on bills. With rising costs, a new lower-paying job, recent vet visits, and doubled utility bills this pay period, I'm struggling as the sole income earner to afford my dog’s surgery.

Kratos
Kratos is a 1 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Fort Wayne, IN, who needs $2,000 for Seizures Treatment and Diagnosis of Underlying Cause.
Fort Wayne, IN
Kratos was a gift. He is a beautiful rambunctious boy. He loves playing with my other dogs and he loves food! He does not like thunderstorms and doesn't like to potty in the rain. The way he looks at you with those soulful eyes just makes you melt everytime! The week of Christmas, Kratos starting feeling poorly. After several days, no relief came and he started having seizures I took him to the vet. My vet had no openings so on Chriatmas Eve we arrived at Northeast IN Emerngency Vet(NIVES). That is when after several tests they discovered that he had elevated white blood cells and a drastically enlarged kidney. He is being put on anticonvulsants and Kratos is a lover he loves to horse around normally. He has such a fat head which I love beyond reason. I couldn't imagine life without any of my dogs but Kratos had me hook line and sinker from day one. I am the sole income earner in my family. We make due with what we have but times like these are excruciating. I take care of my sisters and parents on my income alone and am consistently in financial need. I need help in order to help my fatheaded little boy get well again

Mabel
Mabel is a 5 month old Havanese in Elkhart, IN, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Close the Patent Ductus Arteriosus.
Elkhart, IN
Mabel is a rescue puppy. Having to start supposedly grade 4 heart murmur. Almost 5 months old. Just a baby. I have had her and her sister since beginning of November. Mabel loves her sister, Pearl. 2 peas in a pod. Absolutely little love bugs. And she also loves the other fur babies in the family too. Both girls having heart issues. Took Mabel and Pearl to the veterinarian cardiologist at NIVES, Fort Wayne, IN. After echocardiograms both were diagnosed with grade 5 heart murmurs. And both Mabel and her sister needing heart surgery. Without it their prognosis is grim. Probably not going to see their first birthday, but if they have the needed surgery to fix the issue they can have the chance to go on to live happy full lives. Mabel and Pearl are just sweeties and have touched my life so much already in the weeks they have become members of my family. They love everybody and are just babies. Despite the heart issues they are happy and bring so much joy to all those around them. They love cuddles, playing, new experiences. Even eating the snow and going for car rides. With 2 puppies Facing unexpected heart surgeries at one time isn’t something we were financially planning for and it broke my heart to hear the diagnosis. To be able to give my girls their lives to live to the fullest and watch them grow up would mean everything.

Diego
Diego is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Quincy , MI, who needs $600 for Unblocking Urethra.
Quincy, MI
We got Diego two years ago, he was found outside as a kitten, he's been best friends with my youngest son ever since, he meows and scratches at the door if my son's outside and he's inside. He is also called "my baby" all the time, I'm not sure if he thinks his name is Diego or my baby.. we just moved to Michigan from Kansas after spending the last few years being my dad's full-time caregiver. Diego went to the vet two and a half weeks ago, for a bladder infection, was doing great until I noticed the same symptoms appearing, he got another round of meds yesterday. But today, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving he is worse, brought him to the emergency vet and it he is blocked and it is going to cost 600 dollars. Diego is the sweetest cat we've had, he loves my son and eats with him, plays with him, etc. He likes to sit in the bathroom with you, playfully swats you as you walk by We just moved to Michigan after being caretakers for my dad in his final years. We're building a fresh start as a family, but a move and few vet visits were struggling. I have to get my cat home to my baby. We would all be devastated

Mishawaka, IN
Hello. I rescued Winnie at 5months old and have been inseparable scene. Winnie is part main-coon mix. A long hair fluffy cat, with a big personality. She cuddles with me every night and has the cutest wake up meow. Winnie like most cats don't show they are sick till the last minute. Sadly she has liver problems due to an autoamune issue. That's what the vet thinks. Winnie has never had this problem before. She has been a healthy 3year old till this point. Could you please help me pay for her treatment? Winnie is far to young to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Please and thank you. Winnie is my Raccoon. Stealing food and grabbing forks to lick clean. My sweet Winnie. I have had a cat quite with her. A cat with such a unique personality. It would mean the world to me that Winnie can survive this and become healthy again. I want Winnie to be her happy healthy self again. Please help Winnie and me.

Lincoln
Lincoln is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Van Wert , OH, who needs $2,000 for ACL Repair/Surgery.
Van Wert, OH
Lincoln came into my life unexpectedly. I had sadly just lost my girl of 12yrs and was still processing life without her. One late evening as I watched TV, I heard something on my front porch, to find this big guy at my door. Through my local shelter we located his owners but they weren't coming to get him. Lincoln at that moment became my big boy! Lincoln unfortunately tripped going down stairs, with this accident he now needs surgery on both hind legs for acl repair. He is being treated at Fort Wayne Vet Hospital. Lincoln is very special, I will always believe he was sent to me by my loved ones looking over me. He is huge but the sweetest teddy bear. He loves everyone he meets. He has two bestie at home milo and Tucker (cat and dog) who adore him. The surgery that is needed is so expensive, it will cost around 12,000 per vet to have both legs fixed. Without this procedure he will suffer from pain and not being able to get around. I can not afford this and am in desperate need for any resources of help

Ludo
Ludo is a 2-month-old Bull Terrier Mix in Garrett, IN, who needs $2,000 for Parvovirus.
Garrett, IN
Little Ludo came I to our life on 03/20/24 and we instantly fell in love with his super cuteness and lovable nature. On 03/23 he was really sick and we took him to our emergency vet. He tested positive for Parvo. It's been only been a couple of days since he has been in our lives but our whole family is deeply in love with this little guy. Our autistic daughter is absolutely in love with him and he seems to also be helping with her condition. We just really want him to be ok. We have another Bull Terrier Zero, who's three and has also grown attached to this little guy and we are all excited for them to be the bestest of friends. After testing positive for Parvo we thought it is his best recovery to be hospitalized and receive around the clock care. He's currently at the Northeast Indiana Veterinary Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The staff thinks he has a 90% survival since it was caught so soon and will do everything they can to make sure he can come back home but this won't be cheap. So we're asking for your help. We only have one working family member and state assistance to help supplement with for and medical for our autistic daughter. The projected cost for little Ludo will be about $4000 so we're asking for your generosity to help us bring little Ludo home.

Pepper
Pepper is a 4-year-old Pitbull in Fort Wayne, IN, who needs $1,000 for Tail Surgery.
Fort Wayne, IN
I meet Pepper when she was born, I've had her for her whole 4 years of her life. I'm more than her owner, I'm her best friend and mother. She has a anxiety disorder unless pepper is around me then she feels relaxed. Pepper loves her cuddle times, we've always understood each other. She has a little brother that she loves even if he annoys her sometimes. Pepper loves to play fetch with her ball. She sleeps wherever I sleep no matter where or on the couch if I'm not around. Her best human friend is my husband. People make her nervous at first until you give her a treat! Her favorite pass time is cuddles and belly rubs. She does happy feet dance when it's dinner time. Tip tap' Pepper loves playing with her non-biological brother. She loves to jump in the air and catch her ball. She looks like Superdog! Pepper knows how to play hide and seek. Either she will hide or I'll hide. She gets zoomies when she finds me. Playing in the mud is her favorite activity when it rains! She hates the baths afterwards but it's worth it. I'm looking for emergency vet care. Pepper suffers from anxiety. We had an unexpected change in our life that left us with only one option that pepper didn't coop well with, she started chewing on her tail. I tried bandaging her tail, giving her neck cones to stop her but one day she chewed her tail off. I've been trying home bandaging but it's gotten infected, swollen and half her tail is dead. My husband has a back injury and I lost my job causing us to have to move with major expenses. I love pepper so much and I hate to see her suffer. I just want her happy and healthy again. She is in pain and I've tried everything to help fix her but their is so much I can do.

Zena
Zena is a 4-year-old American Short Hair Cat in Huntertown, IN, who needs $2,000 for Foreign Body Surgery.
Huntertown, IN
I rescued Zena and Gwen when they were 6 months old. Zena got her name as the first thing she did when I brought her home was go straight to basement and searched every nook and cranny! She is a princess warrior. Her sister Gwen came from same litter. We are moving to a new house tomorrow, but Zena decided to eat my hair ties and now has a stomach full of them. Zena plays fetch with her favorite toy mouse. She hugs everyone who comes over. She loves hard and hunts hard! She is an indoor cat and has caught a bat, squirrel, and a few baby mice. Hence the reason we built a new house lol Zena is special because she literally loves anyone she comes in contact with. The vet techs don’t want her to go home anytime we visit. Her sister is wondering where her terrorist is and why she didn’t come home. I noticed that Zena was vomiting after eating for about the past two months. I thought she was stressed as I have had to travel to Raleigh to help my son to find out he has a terminal diagnosis. The traveling is not normal for me. Then today I noticed she was chewing on a hair tie of mine that she dug out of my make up bag, my hunter. Then I noticed it disappeared! Her xray showed a stomach ful I am on a fixed income and have little savings currently. I closed on my home yesterday that I have worked so very hard for. I am single and have student loans. I will barely meet my basic needs without adding 5-7k for vet bill. Zena is at Northeast Indiana ER Vet now

Israel
Israel is a 4-year-old Pit Bull in Fort Wayne , IN, who needs $1,500 for Surgery for Intestinal Blockage.
Fort Wayne, IN
Israel is a fun loving and caring dog. He has recently lost his best friend that he has been around since he came home. He has 2 teenagers that love him very much and mom. He protects everyone in the house. He will sit outside the bathroom door when any of us are in there taking a shower to protect us. He loves cuddling up and loving on us. He gets excited to see us and welcomes us at the door. He tries jumping but is not a good jumper but it makes us laugh because he tries so hard. He flips onto the floor instead of slowing laying down and it’s just funny how he acts sometimes. Right now he is fighting for his life, somehow somewhere he swallowed a corn cob and it’s stuck inside. Since this has happened he has been vomiting and trying not to make a mess he has been swallowing back down and he now has a fever of 103 and from the aspiration has pneumonia in one of his lungs. He needs surgery ASAP so anything will help. My kids and I are really hurting I am a single mom working as hard as I can and trying to make things happen for us and be happy. It would mean everything for any help possible to make our Isreal better. We lost one a little over a week ago and my kids and we are hurting more now and don’t want to lose him

Snoop
Snoop is a 11-month-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Fort Wayne , IN, who needs $2,000 for Back Leg Amputation.
Fort Wayne, IN
Snoop was found last November in the freezing cold outside a truck stop in the middle of nowhere. My brother brought him back and I just couldn’t let him go to a shelter so I took him in. He was SO happy and ran from person to person purring and snuggling for hours like he couldn’t believe he had a home! Snoop is the most loving cat and likes to lay beside me while I work. He loves treats and can often be found at the food bowl! He is playful and is used to living a very active life and chasing his favorite mouse toy around all day. He purrs louder than any cat I’ve ever known. He just begs to be pet and loved. The nurse at the vet nicknamed him “Lover Boy” because he wouldn’t quit licking her! Snoop went missing outside for three days and we were so sad trying to find him. He ended up coming home injured. The vet thinks he was hit by a car and that has caused three fractures. According to the veterinary emergency specialty hospital an amputation of his back leg is the best economical option to give him a quality of life still. I am a single mother of three and I do not have funds for his surgery as I have medical bills of my own. I would love assistance to give this kitty a good life still and keep him a member of our family. Help would be so much appreciated.

Capone
Capone is a 5-month-old German Shepherd Mix in Huntington , IN, who needs $1,800 for Parvovirus.
Huntington, IN
I adopted Capone from our local shelter. He was a malnourished puppy along with his litter mates. He lives with my family including his boxer big brother and his feline siblings. He has been a ball of energy since we brought him home from the shelter. We love him very much and want him to come home from the ICU at the emergency vet hospital. Capone enjoys playing in water and chasing after his feline siblings. He had recently taken an interesting in playing fetch with a ball and was starting to get pretty good at it. He loves having his ears rubbed and rough housing with his big brother Kane. When he's ready for relaxing time he likes to sleep close to our feet so he knows we are there. Capone is a fearless boy. He takes to guff from anyone including me. When he gets in trouble he likes to talk back. He has the attitude of a human teen when he's told what to do. If he wants your attention he lets it be known with a bark or a low grumble. He has the long floppy ears that give him the goofy clown look. On Friday night may 26 2023 Capone became sick to his stomach and wouldn't eat or drink. We thought he just had a stomach ache and tried to wait it out. He was taken to the vet clinic on Sunday because he still wasn't eating or drinking. There he tested positive for parvo virus. We had a quote that sounded doable but it increased fast. We didn't have much money saved we have paid $3000 of his over $5000 bill and have tapped out all resources, savings, care credit, credit cards we have no more extra funds.

Lexi
Lexi is a 10-year-old German Shepherd in Bremen, IN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.
Bremen, IN
Little Lexi was born on a farm where she picked me out to be her human. When I got out of the car, she ran up to me, bounced on my legs and rolled backwards. For the past ten years, Lexi and I have been through hell and back getting each other through all of life’s ups and downs. We are currently living out in the country with lots of space for walks and playing. Lexi is the best girl and my best friend. We laugh together, she licks my tears when I am sad and won’t sleep unless she is cuddled against me in bed. She reads my feelings and responds accordingly. Lexi has the sweetest disposition and loves anything with a heartbeat or a squeaker. Currently, Lexi loves to lay with her little sister and watch animal shows since she is not allowed to run and play. The cost of the surgery is about $5,000. With no other health issues, Lexi has the potential for many years of play and love, but she must get this surgery to make that possible. Without the surgery, the unthinkable must happen much sooner than necessary. Lexi was running down the lane and her knee gave out. X-rays were taken and she was diagnosed with cruciate disease. We have been treating her with pain medications, Adequan injections and bed rest. There is no improvement and she needs TPLO surgery. Her referring vet is Noah’s Landing Pet Care Clinic in Elkhart, Indiana. She will have surgery at NIVES in Ft. Wayne, Indiana Lexi’s favorite friend other than her momma, is her new little sister, Tinkerbell, who we adopted from the shelter. They love to snuggle and “talk” to each other! It would be amazing for them to run, swim and really play together. Lexi is a true talker. When she has a story to tell, everyone hears it! Lexi has the kindest heart and purest soul. She is a comfort and joy to everyone she meets.

Lilly
Lilly is a 3-year-old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix in New Haven, IN, who needs $1,050 for treatment for Addison's disease.
New Haven, IN
I orginally was going to purchase Lilly's brother almost 4 yrs ago and I ended up coming home with 2 puppies instead of 1. She is almost 4 yrs old we've had her and her brother Brutus since they were puppies. They also have a sister kitty which is Precious although I'm told she's not at all Precious. Lilly has a couple different nick names lil bean and lil beanie baby. Lilly is definitely a lover to her people. She loves to be pushy with her brother and sister though. But she's so full of life and always wanting to play and love on us. She's a mommas girl for sure. She doesn't like to share mommy with almost anyone. She loves to chase ropes and bring them back to you. This was a sudden expense for us an between paying the half down at the ER hospital for her and paying the New Haven Pet Hospital the same day really put us in a spot to not have all the funds we need to cover this. She is our family and we appreciate any help So I took Lilly to our local vet to have be seen her sugars were really low so they gave her meds and sent us on our way but also told us that she needed to be seen in the ER if not better. I ended up taking her to Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital which she has seen the dr's that work there they have to keep her to get her better and we will have on going treatments after Lilly loves snow she loves to plow her face into it. She loves to play with her brother and her sister while in the house. She like to play in leaves sometimes when outside. And when she thinks someone is at the door she's the first to start growling or barking to let you know someone is at her house.

Zeke
Zeke is a kitten in Bryan, OH, who needs $1,147 for Pneumonia.
BRYAN, OH
Zeke is the biggest of his other brother and 2 sisters. There mom was a rescue cat that someone abandoned at a gas station by where we live. She has been with us for almost 3 years. Zeke's dad was found on the side of a busy highway and almost got hit by the car in front of us. I tried to to get both mom and dad in to get spayed/neutered but that is when this dreaded Corona virus pandemic hit. Zeke and his siblings all sleep together in a dog bed with a soft velure pillow case so the can cuddle up together, which is located at the foot of my daughters bed. We are currently starting the "weaning" process on them and Zeke is a trooper. He is taking on the "big boy" food well and using the litter box all the time. By Zeke doing it his siblings watch and want to follow in his tiny footsteps I just got back to work due to the Corona Virus Pandemic and have used all my resources to try to stay above water so I can keep our house. I did use what I had left to pay toward this bill that they wanted for deposit. Zeke at the moment is at North East Indiana Veterinary Emergency Hospital located in Fort Wayne Indiana. He has pneumonia and another bacterial disease. All of the vets around my home with in 50 mile radius are completely booked out for next 2 weeks and there was no way Zeke could wait that long. NIVES was the closest one that would look at him and help. I have 2 children. I have a young adult boy that has an issue from falling at school and bruising his brain that affected his memory and comprehension. I also have a teenage daughter that is still morning the loss of her father. Zeke and his brother and sisters have made both of my children smile that I haven't seen in a long time.

Stormy
Stormy is a 13-year-old American in Fort Wayne, IN, who needs $2,000 for Not sure yet.
Fort Wayne, IN
Stormy was an unexpected rescue. In fact, he picked us. My parents moved to Florida and took our cats with. I went to a home feline rescue to find a black cat I saw just like one they took. I found a new black cat and a beautiful all grey cat appeared laying on my purse out of nowhere from the home. I had to take him. His name was from someone that had returned him as there were grey skies. The black cat and Stormy were besties. Came from the same rescue the same day together. Got a dog later and wasn’t sure about him but eventually warmed up and one day I peeked through the window and to my great surprise they were sleep together on the couch! They are friends to this day. My dog has tried to love the other cats but they won’t let her, only Stormy. I’m a self employed nail tech. I lost my job due to Covid like many others. I also have a 3 year old son whose father left him and doesn’t help financially. I’ve applied to all programs I could. I’ve gotten some help. I have pet insurance but issue is only “critical” lol Last year he was very lethargic. His ear was swollen so bad it was shut. We took him in and they said if we didn’t get him surgery on his ear that day the best thing to do was humanely euthanize him. I got him the surgery. Recovered. 1 year later: fine one day then next, back legs aren’t working he can’t stand and have to help him use the litter box. Pet insurance won’t help I have it. Stormy has been the best cat. Used to run away when I got the dog but as HES gotten older and chunkier he wasn’t able to climb the fences. He is different than all of the cats we’ve had. So loving and so warm. Always wants you to pet him. He is just the sweetest ever and all gray so he looks like a Russian Blue.

Alice angel

Hillsdale, MI
I got Alice Angel after my mom passed away from kidney failure. I was very sad and Alice helped me heal. She was only eight weeks old when I brought her home and we named her Alice Angel in memory of my mom. Alice loves everyone and everyone that meets her loves her. She is a beautiful blue French bull dog, my dream dog that I love with all my heart and want to save her life! Alice is crate trained but prefers to sleep in my bed lol. She loves to snuggle her blankets and toys she also has jammies for bed time. She loves everyone and everyone loves her and she is a pure delight to have around my house. I had many a dark time after my mom passed, she was my best friend, and then came Alice making me smile again. The love I have for her is amazing I am a kidney patient myself unfortunately, I inherited my moms polysistic kidney disease and I'm on disability. I will pay whatever I can to help my girl I love her so and I would be forever great full for your help to save her life. Alice has a prolapsed rectum and has been to our home town vet but he has done everything he could so he referred me to Northeastern Indiana Veterinary Emergency Specialty Hospital for treatment. They can save her life with this surgery so I'm asking for help with the cost of expenses if you would like to donate. Alice is very loving little girl she loves to be held and cuddled and loves her pic taken. She is special and she knows it! She is very smart too - when I talk to her she looks like she really knows what I'm saying. Whenever I am sad she kisses me and loves me unconditionally. She loves to run and play and jump all around.
Lucy and Molly

These 2 sisters story with our family starts 7 months ago, even though they are only 8 weeks old. See, I lost my best friend of 10 years when a drunk driver plowed through my fence and killed my dog, gizmo. He was my best friend. In the 6 months after I lost Gizzy, I lost my mother to cancer, my job, and my health. I stopped getting out of bed. For weeks I didn't move. Then, on March 1st, my husband came home with the girls. He met a lady in the Dollar general parking lot, with a box of puppies she was giving away. By the time he came out, only one was left, lucy. She had the head of a chihuahua, with buggy eyes and big forehead, but the body of a pocket bully, with stout little bowed legs. She was the ugliest thing he had seen, and he knew I would love her. When he brought her home, she was the most feisty thing I had ever met, and I instantly loved her. She eventually crawled onto the shoulder of my 16 year old son, buried herself in his hair, and promptly fell asleep. As she was sleeping, she was having bad dreams, and kept crying in her sleep. As my son and I were discussing that she was probably sad because she missed her family, my husband received a facebook message from the lady with the puppies. Her neighbor had returned Lucy's sister because her son was too rough, she had remembered his name, would he be willing to take Lucy's sister? He met her back at the dollar general and returned with a beautiful puppy who was twice the size of lucy and looked nothing like her. She was gorgeous, with soft brown hair and a perfect face. She was shy and timid, just the opposite of our lucy in every way. Within 12 hours, these little 8 week old ladies, without 5 pounds between them, clearly ran the house. I was out of bed again. I had babies to feed and train and shower with attention. My teenage boys were actually out in the open, hanging in the living room to play with the girls. And they were awesome. They would run around, and cry whenever they got out of sight of each other. Whenever molly would take off for a different room, lucy would have to gallop to keep up with her. Watching her hightail it on those short little bow legs made me laugh. It felt so good to laugh again. I was getting dressed too. I had to in order to take them outside. I let people come over again. Everyone wanted to meet the girls. I was conversing with my family again. Two hyper puppies do NOT want to lay in bed all day. They brought me back to life. Ot was their 4th day here the first time Lucy threw up. Then molly threw up. At first we figured it was the food change or something; they both were still having solid bowel movements and were running around. Within 12 hours they were lethargic, had diarrhea, and were running low fevers. They had quit vomiting though, so we were cautiously optimistic that they would be okay. For 3 days, I fed them formula mixed with pedialyte and boiled white meat chicken with white rice. I had to put the food in a processor and feed them with a syringe, because they had stopped eating on thier own. Then, on Friday, there was blood in their stools and the vomiting came back. Lucy weighed half a pound, and you could see their little ribs and hips. We took them to the emergency room on Saturday, and sure enough, it was parvo. The good news, we had kept them hydrated and nourished well enough that they have a good chance to make it. The bad news, it would cost 1500.00 dollars per dog for treatment. I was devastated. I had just spent my entire savings 5 months ago burying my mother, and I didn't have 3 grand. I don't even have 300$ So, here we are. It's this, or the vet will euthanize them. Because I don't have money. Apparently, the incubation period for parvo is 3 to 6 days, so they had it when we got them. We did reach out to the lady on facebook, explained the situation, and asked if she maybe had pet insurance or would be willing to apply for some, but she blocked us. I can't lose these girls. I did offer to surrender them, because I can't imagine a world where they do not exist, and i would rather them be alive with a different family than dead, but the vet said no. I am writing this from the waiting room. The girls are in the basket next to me sleeping. Please help them.

Aristotle Holmes-Ploor
Aristotle Holmes-Ploor is an 8-year-old Goldendoodle in Fort Wayne, IN, who needs $1,756 for treatment for possible osteosarcoma.
Fort Wayne, IN
When my husband Jeremia and I adopted Aristotle 8 years ago, we had an instant connection. He is absolutely the most intelligent and thoughtful dog, we never realized how much he would mean to us. We have spent the years going on trips and camping together. We enjoy going for walks, just hanging out around the house, or hanging out with friends when they visit.
