Mimi

Mimi is a 1.5 year old British Shorthair in Seattle, WA, who needs $2,000 for Hepatic Lipidosis Treatment/Feeding Tube.

Seattle, WA

I love animals so I've always done petsitting as a side job. Mimi's original owners had hired me to care for her the majority of last summer. I always thought she was so adorable and loving, I wish I owned her. Her owners let me know, given the amount they travel, they were giving her up. I swept in to get her. I currently live in an apartment but am about to (hopefully) get a house. We believe that Mimi is suffering from hepatic lipodosis. She is currently being treated at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Kirkland. She is suffering from a lack of appetite (currently has a nasal-esophageal feeding tube), jaundice, nausea, and general lethargy. She had low platelet counts and has a high and abnormal levels of bilirubin. She is definitely a little talker and loves to be the center of attention. Very cuddly, calm, and super affectionate. Even when I visit her in the ER, she tries to make her way over to me and it breaks my heart seeing her wobble and unable to move much. She is so easy going, even in the state she's in. I want to be able to move into our new home together. I lived with a partner who threw away all of my belongings, toxic. He had Mimi starved. I left the house on my birthday with very little. Mimi is one of the only things I have left. It means the world to me to be able to move on with my life and triumph from all our trauma.

Holly

Holly is a 9-month-old Pomsky in New Castle, IN, who needs $950 for Amputation.

New Castle, IN

We adopted Holly at 8 weeks old. Our family consists of myself, my two children and our two other canine pals. We don't have a whole lot but we make the best of what we do have. The dogs go everywhere with us and they insist on taking turns sharing all our beds:) Our pets are family and we literally couldn't imagine life without them. Holly has 2 canine siblings who she enjoys annoying until they wake up for the day:) They are a bit older, but since Holly entered our family, they seem to have a new zest for life. They love playing and keeping up with her. Holly is spoiled and believes the human bed is far superior to her own bed. She loves car rides, "talking," and making everyone smile. Holly doesn't bark, she "talks." It's hilarious. She loves to play fetch, except in her version, the toy is never returned. Holly doesn't know a stranger and will literally go to anyone. She lives life and every day is something new to her. She reminds us to not always take life seriously. Holly is truly a happy girl and her joy is infectious. Holly was attacked by another dog while visiting family. It happened quick. She was left with many lacerations, deep puncture wounds and a fractured leg. The break is severe and will require amputation. She is in tremendous pain and it's heart wrenching to witness. She is being seen by Country Acre Animal Hospital in New Castle, Indiana. I have been raising my children alone for 15 years. My income through my job is the only income we receive, so we truly live paycheck to paycheck. Holly is family though, and we're just praying someone can help us, help our girl get her joy for life back. Thanks for reading!

Tiger

Tiger is a 2-month-old Tabby Kitten in Federal Way, WA, who needs $1,500 for Repair for Intestinal Hernia.

Federal Way, WA

Hello, I adopted Tiger and his bonded sister-Lily on May 1 2023. After losing my cat of 17 years in recent months. I was lonely for the companionship as my other cat kept me company and slept with me. These little ones have have brought me so much joy already. I live in a house for them to enjoy. Tiger and Lily both sleep with me and keep me company during the day as I currently work from home. They play together all day and sleep in my office while I work. They are so sweet together. He is a cuddler already. They bother purrr all the time with any touch or when they sleep together. My grandkids sometimes stay with me and love the kitties too. Tiger's best friend is his sister Lily. They play all the time and cuddle together for naps. She more of the aggressor and he is the cuddler. Their purring is the best, they both pur and make other cutest noises together. Almost like their own little language. He recently started cuddling up by my neck and smells my breathe. I just love them both. I have been taken Tiger to the vet for the last 4 days trying to figure out what was wrong with him. He started throwing up and stopped eating. With little approvement every day, there was still something wrong. We got x rays yesterday with the results today. He has a Intestinal Hernia and requires surgery for repair. With a good prognosis. I have had a little bit of a rough time lately, had to put down an elder dog with a respiratory issue. My taxes went up at an alarming rate. To have him healthy would mean the everything to his sister and I. She would love to be playing with him again.

Diamond

Diamond is a 18-year-old Jack Russell Terrier in Lancaster, PA, who needs $1,700 for Spay and Pyometra Treatment.

Lancaster, PA

Diamond came into our lives almost eighteen years ago her and her brother Pincho was abandoned in the middle of summer with four other siblings I couldn't leave those babies outside in the heat, so I took them home, well I found homes for the four but Diamond and Pincho stole my heart and its been beautiful loving them they are the children that I never had and to see her sick is killing me. My little Diamond is the sweetest thing you've ever seen, she loves attention and kisses, she loves to cuddle, but is a Diva, she loves having children company, and love's to get rubbed, especially on her belly, then she's like a big baby and wants to sleep in your lap almost like a giant cat! But what makes me happy is when she's herself, which is not how she is right now. Diamond, sometimes has a big burst of energy and she's like a puppy again and she wants to wrestle, then she's running around the the house and barking making a big ruckus, then her and her brother Pincho wants out into the yard so that they can talk to the neighborhood dogs and then we play catch, she's very energetic for her age, even the vet doesn't believe her age when she's herself! I'm looking for a cure that the Vet say's can happen with the spay she's not herself right now, but still is trying to keep everyone happy, and she's on antibiotics right now the Vet says she can do the surgery and that she's strong enough. so that's what she needs right now. I am on a very low income, I receive SSDI and I just don't have the funds to take car of this alone, I've practically beg people for help but everyone is in a tight situation these days with the economy the way it is, so if there is any help out there please help us.

Photo of Triplex

Triplex

Triplex is a 5-year-old American Bully in Marne, MI, who needs $1,166 for Colectomy.

Marne, MI

We got Triplex aka Plex, when he was 4 months old from a friend of ours, James. He was the cutest puppy with his smooshy face. We loved his trindle markings which is tri, with brindling in the tri markings. We wanted to think of a name that incorporated his amazing markings. After lots of debate and back and forth; our little family decided that Triplex would be fitting! When we got Plex, or as I like to call him, Plexipoo, our daughter was 10 and our son was almost 6. These kids have spent a large part of their life with this boy. He is my son's cuddle buddy and sleeps with him every night. The last few days he has been in the hospital have been rough on him. He is so energetic and full of love, he's the highlight they come home to after a long day at school. Plex is the biggest sweetheart you'll ever meet! We call him Mr. Happy Tail because his tail wags a million miles a minute! He is the first to greet you when you walk in the door and despite being a big boy, he still thinks he is a lap dog. His favorite thing to do is curl up next to my son...or whoever is the nearest warm body to him. Last Thursday, Plex got into our trash and ingested several pork rib bones. By Saturday evening; he wasn't acting like his usual happy, tail wagging self it was as if his personality was gone. He began having bloody diarrhea. Hes been hospitalized since, and our veterinarian was hopeful with hospitalization he could pass it. While it's moved, for 18 hours it's stopped moving. Aside from nearly depleting our savings to fix our vehicle for reliable transportation, on 11/23/2022 I was in a serious car accident and rolled the vehicle I was in 5x. I haven't been allowed back to work yet per doctors orders which has been devastating to our finances.

Photo of Snickers

Snickers

Snickers is a 10-month-old American Shorthair Kitten in Okc, OK, who needs $1,509 for Amputation.

Okc, OK

Snickers showed up at our apartment one day and walked in the house like she owned the place. She stayed with us for a couple weeks before we found out the neighbors who she belonged to were moving and couldn't keep her. She was officially ours after sleeping with my daughters every night. She owns the top bunk. Snicks loves to play. She loves her cat laser and she loves to bat around dum-dum lollipops. My daughters attempt to play fetch with their unicorn slippers but she hasn't learned to bring it back yet. She wakes me up at 5am to cuddle, get her scratches and petting. She's super sweet when she's hungry. If you scratch a certain area on her back she flops over to get a belly rub. We gave Snickers a middle name, "flop". When she's tired she literally flops over on the floor. She lays on the ottoman and stares at you upside. When she wants to go outside, she walks around the couch like a tiger in a cage and if you don't let her out she runs from one end of the house to the other, doing a cannonball on you, on the couch till she goes out Snickers was in great health till she came back one morning with a broken leg. She hobbled to the back door, barely making a sound, with a clean broken back leg. My girls were frantic, my youngest was screaming, "she can't walk." It was a difficult situation. We took her to the animal hospital and the prognosis is good if we can get an amputation or surgery. My husband and I have just bought a new home in cash through our 401k and live in a small apartment. We don't have great credit to pull out loans or credit cards. We love Snickers very much. Everyone in the family caters to her and cuddles her. She is a part of this family.

Brody

Brody is a 7-month-old Golden Doodle in Ormond Beach, FL, who needs $2,000 for Surgery for Foreign Object Removal.

Ormond Beach, FL

Brody is my four year old sons best friend. He was a gift from my mother and we got him when he was 10 weeks old. He is now seven months. Brody and my 8 year old golden retriever, Riley, are also inseparable. Brody is absolutely loved and adored by everyone in my household and my son hasn’t stopped crying since we’ve learned about Brody’s health needs. He is the sweetest, most calm puppy you’ve ever met. He LOVES to cuddle. Even with our cat. He gives the best hugs and always has a kiss for you the second you get home. Him and my son are best friends and can play all day long. Such a protector and lover. Anywhere I go, he follows. And if I stay in one spot, he will nap on my feet. Brody is the reason I know dogs have a sixth sense. If you’re ever having a bad day, sad, angry, emotional, he knows just how to help. The first one there to help you in a time of need. He’s better than most people. I couldn’t go through a dah without him anymore. I’d be lost without my sweet Brody bean and so would the rest of my family. After immediately taking Brody to two different vets today due to diarrhea and vomiting, we were told he has a foreign object in his body and needs surgery. He is currently hospitalized and will need surgery, anesthesia, fluids, plasma, and lots of after care. Unfortunately, due to the world today, my husband and I have fallen behind on bills. Two hurricanes, gas prices, loss of income amongst other things, this unexpected hefty expense is incredibly hard to swing, if not impossible. But I’d sell my limbs if it meant my dog was ok
