Louie came into my life when I went to Coachella Valley Animal Shelter in Thousand Palms. I already had a lab and husky, and he got along with them. I named him Louie, because the lab was Lucy and the husky was Luke. They would play together with the husky always talking and chasing everyone else. Unfortunately, the lab and husky both died of old age the last two years leaving Louie and me. I am already dealing with a condition that requires ongoing treatment such as Louie's diabetes and allergies. He was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 4 years old. His eyes got smoky from cataracts and the vet did blood work and diagnosed him with diabetes. The main need now is extraction of some of his teeth to help his health and live a longer life. He's on pain meds until we get help. Louie has a toy basket he gets his dolly's from to play. He loves to howl when hearing a siren on TV or outside. He'll run inside if it's raining harsh. He loves to cuddle and follow me everywhere though he's blind. Our bond gets stronger daily. I lost my daughter to leukemia, and he lost his family husky and lab to old age. All we have is each other to lean on for comfort and love. I'm on a fixed income, plus I was working part time, but a drunk driver caused me to get disabled from a car accident over a year ago, depleting my emergency fund.

Gunther (Gunny) was abused we got him from a shelter and he was tiny, only a year-old and had been beaten so he was timid but so sweet. He has been a part of our little family for 6 years now. Gunny started urinating on the furniture and floor recently and we could tell he felt bad but could not help it. Took him to the veterinary clinic to find that he has a mass the size of a golf ball in his bladder. A two day stay surgery is needed to remove it. The cost was too much for us. Affordable Animal Hospital in Tacoma can do the surgery for 5,300.00 My daughter Zoey has a spinal condition that has her on full disability and he loves her. She is in bed and in the restroom for long periods of time and he falls asleep at her feet. They are inseparable. She and Gunny are in the Christmas photo. I have Graves disease and take care of my daughter now. Limited income makes it too expensive for us to live and undertake this surgery cost. We have to diaper Gunny now to keep him from urinating when he can't hold it due to the bladder mass. It can't be comfortable for him

We've had Roxxy since she was about 7 weeks old, and she is now 1 year old. She has never left our sight since then and she means the world to myself and our family. Roxxy escaped from the house on January 16th and was hit by a car. After taking her to the emergency vet (Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral), we learned that her right hindlimb was broken. The veterinarian recommended either surgery or amputation to address the break. She is our only household pet and she means everything to us. She's an emotional support dog for our son. She loves her mom and dad and to play ball. She knows we're coming home before we even get there. Unexpected, major expense with no emergency fund. The veterinarian estimated about $7,000 for surgery and about $2,000 for amputation, so we are opting for amputation because of the lower cost, and surgery is not guaranteed to be 100% effective.

My best friend's mom breeds Australian Shepherds. I was looking to adopt a dog anyway and the latest litter had a bunch of adorable little beans. Out of all of the puppies, she knew that the little bean in the second picture was perfect for me. When she sent me the picture, Scout was the only name that came to mind. He's been my baby since he was born. Scout tore his ACL earlier this year when playing with his cousin, Queen. Surgery to make the ACL unnecessary was the recommended option. Leaving him to crate rest for 8-16 weeks isn't something I could bring myself to do and letting it heal on its own is asking for problems for later in life. The vet clinic is we took our family dog to when I was young: Companion's Animal Hospital. Scout loves everyone he meets, even if they don't share the same interest. He's always by my side when I'm home with him. When given the opportunity, he chooses to sleep next to me rather than on his bed or with anyone else. He's not much of a talker, but he has the cutest face that shows exactly what's on his mind: treats, pets, and attention. I have had a lot of large, unexpected, and almost emergency events come up this last year that have added a very large amount onto my debt. He is my life. It hurts so much to see him in pain, to not be able to get up on the bed or climb stairs. Please, I just need some help.

When I was 18 years old, first semester of college, I was at work and a coworker/friend of mine told me that her dogs were having puppies. Despite my mom telling me no at the time, I went over to pick one out. Cali came right up to me and fell asleep on my foot. Cali has been my rock my entire 20's, she has moved to multiple states with me as my husband served in the military. Cali has a couple forms of cancer, along with bell's palsy and thyroid issues. She is currently being treated at the VCA in Jackson, Michigan. She has a ruptured mass that needs removal asap. Everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Cali, adores her. She is the happiest, most loving girl. If you sit down on the ground, she is guaranteed to get her paws up on your shoulders for a hug. We are currently expecting and have my dad in the hospital. Before baby comes, we are trying to move back by family. This was an unexpected occurrence needing this surgery so promptly and have unfortunately not been able to set aside the funds for it.

Jaxson,our chiweenie came into our lives when we moved from MA. down to FL. so I could be near my ill son to help him. We had our own house and since we both Really Love animals (Especially dogs) we decided to adopt one right away! We brought our shih tzu Murphy from MA. to FL. and thought he might like a companion. Jaxson stole our hearts immediately at the shelter with his sweet big eyes Jaxson developed a dimesized growth on his face under his ear, since August it's grown to quartersize His vet did a needle biopsy and the cells are suspicious. She recommends removing it and before it has a chance of becoming malignant cancer we would soo very much appreciate help from anyone who could please get this done for our beloved family member so we can have more time together. Thank you When Jaxson was a puppy and a young dog he was a healthy, playful, active and happy boy. Our interactions with him were and still are very loving, with lots of talking to him as if he's our child) kisses, rubs and hugs everyday, ALL DAY LOL We adore him and want him to feel and behave like himself again without that growth which annoys him and bleeds daily. I clean and apply cornstarch to it. My husband and I are over 65 and both disabled and therefore cannot work. We live on our Social Security benefits. After paying bills there is very little to 0 money left for anything else. Jaxson needs our help and it breaks our hearts to not be able to afford the surgery

We drove 6 hours to pick up our beautiful Giant Schnauzer and 6 hours back home. We were looking for a hypoallergenic family dog and he has been nothing but our greatest joy at home. He is the center of attention and is overly loved everyday. Recently we noticed he had a small growth on his tooth and he needed surgery so they can remove the growth to be tested. Unfortunately, the results came back that it was a tumor. Two weeks after his 1st surgery the tumor grew back and he needed to under go yet another surgery to remove the 2nd grow but now he needs a part of his jaw to ensure that the cancer won't keep growing back. What makes Uhtred so special is the bond he has with each and every one of us at home. With our youngest son he is sweet and gentle knowing he is the smallest human at home so he receives extra love from him. With our oldest son he loves to play soccer with and they go racing together. When it comes to my husband he loves playing tug of war to test their strength. We me, he is my cuddle bear. After we spent thousands on his last two surgeries we did not expect a 3rd one in the near future. This 3rd procedure is critical to stopping the tumor's growth and giving him a fighting chance. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a world of difference for our pup.
