Salem

Salem is a 5 month old Mix-Breed in Damascus , MD, who needs $500 for Veterinary Exam and Supportive Care for Vomiting.

Damascus, MD

Salem is a female cat who came into my life as a gift from a family friend about four months ago. She is my first pet, and we have no other animals in our home. I named her Salem because I love the fall season and October, and I’ve always wanted to visit Salem, Massachusetts. She has become a very loved member of our family. Salem recently began experiencing repeated episodes of vomiting, which has been very concerning. Although she is still eating, drinking, and acting like herself most of the time, I want to make sure she receives a proper examination to determine the cause and get any treatment she may need. She is scheduled to be seen at Damascus Veterinary Hospital, where they will evaluate her condition. Salem is one of the most special parts of my life. She came into my life as a gift from a family friend, and in the four months I have had her, she has brought me so much love, comfort, and happiness. She is not just a pet; she is my companion and a true member of my family. I have struggled with depression and anxiety, and there have been times when I felt alone. Salem has always been by my side. My family is facing financial hardship after losing loved ones, funeral expenses, and my mom’s loss of income while waiting for a new in-home nursing client. Salem means so much to us, and having her healthy again would mean everything. We just want her to be healthy.

Bunny Morgan

Bunny Morgan is a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in PROVIDENCE, RI, who needs $15,000 for Dialysis, Long Term Treatment, Hospitalization.

PROVIDENCE, RI

Bunny is our beautiful two-year-old bully, and she means the world to our family. She isn't just a dog—she is our baby, our best friend, our protector, and one of the biggest pieces of our hearts. She has been with us through life's happiest moments and has filled our home with unconditional love, laughter, and happiness every single day. Bunny has always had a spirit that is larger than life. Our world was turned upside down when Bunny suddenly became very sick. After rushing her for emergency care, she was diagnosed with leptospirosis, a severe bacterial infection that has caused acute kidney failure. Watching our happy, energetic girl become critically ill has been one of the most heartbreaking experiences our family has ever faced. Bunny is currently receiving lifesaving care She is loved by so many. Our children absolutely adore her. My mom lovingly calls her her "furry grandbaby." She has become family not only to us but to our friends anyone the encounters with her, from the dog park friends. Bunny is one of a kind and steals everyone’s heart, everyone looks forward to seeing her every chance they get. At home, Bunny's very best friend is our cat, Jeffisina. The veterinarians explained that Bunny would need emergency dialysis, around-the-clock hospitalization, medications, constant monitoring, and specialized critical care just to have a chance at recovery. Hearing those words was something no family is ever prepared for.

Yuki

Yuki is a 16 year old Mix-Breed in Enfield, CT, who needs $4,857 for Mass Removal.

Enfield, CT

Yuki has been in our family since I was 12. My dad brought her home one afternoon and my sister and I were thrilled to have a cat! She was so sweet. Yuki ended up being my sister’s cat, but my sister asked if I could take her in 2020 due to her living situation. Yuki and her “sister” (not from the same parents) live with me in my apartment. On June 1st, I found a mass on Yuki’s abdomen and took her to the emergency vet. They said she would need surgery to have the mass removed. I’ve gotten a couple of quotes, but have ultimately decided to go to Pieper Memorial in Middletown, CT. Yuki’s mass may be mammary tumors, but it needs to be removed and biopsied to be able to move forward. If it’s not MT, the surgery should be all she needs. Yuki is the sweetest baby. She has cute little thumbs on her feet. She is very sassy, also. She will tell you how she’s feeling with her expressions. She is also a snuggle bug and loves to lay on me. She loves food and treats! I taught her “paw” and rewarded her with treats. She now thinks that means she can put her paw on me when I’m eating and I’ll give her some. She is very funny and sweet. The surgery is quoted for ~$4000 and unfortunately I do not qualify for CareCredit or similar. I, of course, want to get Yuki the help that she needs but I can’t do it without the money. The hospital doesn’t take other payment plans, as well.

Max

Max is a 2 year old German Shepherd Dog in Grovetown, GA, who needs $2,500 for Heartworm Therapy, Pravovirus Therapy, Neuter.

Grovetown, GA

We adopted Max on July 1, 2026, from Columbia County Animal Services in Grovetown, GA. He had been abandoned with several cats and kittens. We are unsure what care he received before, but his medical issues suggest he was neglected. Now he is part of our family, enjoying a big backyard, daily walks, love, and our family cat. Max was diagnosed with heartworm and began early treatment with doxycycline at Grove Veterinary in Grovetown, GA. A few days later, he stopped eating and began vomiting. We rushed him back for care and he was diagnosed with canine parvovirus. He is receiving treatment at Rogers Veterinary Practice. He will also need to be neutered and have a benign neck cyst removed after he recovers. Max is incredibly gentle, intelligent, and easygoing. He seems to have had some training, quickly following commands like sit and lie down. While he doesn’t seem interested in the many toys we’ve bought him (much to our amusement), he loves spending time with people. He never shows aggression, rarely barks, and has fit into our family and alongside our cat perfectly. We adopted Max less than a week ago. After recently PCS’ing and buying a home, finances are tight, but we’re committed to his recovery. Any donation, big or small, helps. If funds remain after Max’s care, we’ll donate them to another pet in need.
