Toty

Her only worth was puppies until now... Please help Toty know she's loved.

Kewaskum, WI • Stray Dog Support

Stray Dog Support was made aware of this tiny pug in Alexandria, Egypt who has spent her life being used over and over again for breeding. From what they’ve been able to piece together, she was passed from one breeder to another, each continuing to exploit her. Somewhere along the way, she suffered a prolapse hyperplasia. Instead of getting her proper care, it was pushed back in—only to come back worse and even larger. When they decided they no longer wanted her, offers came in from yet more breeders—willing to take her even in this painful condition. SDS couldn’t let that happen, so they stepped in and took Toty so she will never be used again. She’s now been seen at the hospital, where initial tests have been run. Despite everything—the pain, the neglect, and years of being used to produce litter after litter—Toty still wags her tail. That small, constant wag says so much about her spirit. She is gentle, trusting, and so deserving of a life where she is finally safe. Toty has had her last litter. She is now in home boarding, resting and being cared for. She has recently undergone her surgery to remove her prolapse, and they’re so relieved to share that everything went well. She’s currently recovering in the hospital and being closely cared for. At the same time, she was also spayed—which means no more babies for her. After a life of being used for breeding, Toty is finally free and will never be exploited again. But Stray Dog Support really needs your help. Her surgery and ongoing hospitalization are costly, and they want to ensure she receives the best treatment possible. Any amount will make a difference towards covering her medical bills. Thank you.

Sissy

Sissy is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Aloha, , who needs $2,365 for Tooth Extraction Procedure.

Aloha

My beautiful dog Sissy is a poodle/Maltese mix and a rescue from a puppy mill. She is now 11 years old, and when I first met her, she was so tiny she could fit in my hand. I found her with an older lady from, years ago. The lady had small children who were rough with Sissy, even dangling her by her neck. I couldn't bear to see her go back with them, so I bought her and brought her home. Fast forward, she has had already 5 teeth removed, it is the lower canine tooth now needs extracted(its decaying very quickly, she on antibiotic, the tooth is not savable) a vet had said she was likely very sick as a puppy, and the improper treatment from the lady caused teeth formation and enamel issues, I have a quote for the surgery received today from Amberglen Pet care Hillsboro, OR, Oh my she is the most intelligent dog I've ever known, {I'm 64} She never took on to playing with toys, she just wants to be with me, lots of love shared. She's bossy/demanding lol. I love her very much, I think with this tooth extraction, she should be good to go, all other teeth seem good, for awhile. I want her pain free, to enjoy more life with her. I had to retire, I hurt my knee, my foot injury as well is permanent, social security is very low, I can barely make ends meet. Diagnosed with spondylitis in neck, back and lower back. I want to give her love and take care of her, she means very much to me.

Dexter

Dexter is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Yulee, FL, who needs $1,200 for Exam, Bloodwork, Scan, Medicine, & or Vaccinations.

Yulee, FL

Dexter is a 10 y/o pit/lab mix I rescued in 2016 from BlueSky Veterinary Center in Jax Beach, FL, where I worked as a kennel tech. He came from Clay County Humane Society & had been there for months when I started in 2015. When the clinic later closed, I was told he would be euthanized if not adopted. No one stepped up, so I adopted him to save his life. He has been by my side ever since. Dexter was originally treated for heartworm at BlueSky Vet Center in Jax Beach, FL & fully cleared, & has remained on HW prevention. He receives routine care such as vaccines through a nearby vet & Petco clinics. He hasnt had a full exam in some time due to my disability. Recently, he has developed multiple lipomas, 2 getting larger, & a concerning chest swelling that requires imaging & bloodwork. Dexter is special & very much bonded to me. He was never formally trained, he is naturally a good boy & has always been the perfect companion. He is affectionate, quiet, & well behaved around people, but he mainly stays close to me. I live with PTSD & MS; when I’m sick he stays beside me calmly, offering comfort just by being there. He is deeply connected to me & brings steady emotional support. Dexter needs imaging & bloodwork to properly diagnose his lipomas & the bulging in his chest. I am on disability w/ a fixed income & cannot cover these costs right now. Getting him diagnosed & treated would ensure he receives the care he urgently needs so it does not worsen

Karma

Karma is a 10 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Romance, AR, who needs $1,644 for Mammary Cancer Tumors Removal.

Romance, AR

I have had Karma for almost 11 years. I got her from a friend of mine named Steven Don. When she was about five years old she started getting large masses in belly. At the time she seen Dr Mann in Beebe. We sent it off to the lab it came back that she has mamory cancer. Dr Mann removed the very large Mass on her stomach. The surgery went well & Karma recovered beautifully. Since then Dr Mann at Apple Valley Animal Hospital in Beebe has passed away. That was her vet since she was a puppy. So I started taking her to see Dr. Eads at Little Woods Animal Hospital. Karma already had masses starting to come back. Dr. Eads suggested Karma get spayed. And for me to bring her back in 2 weeks and she would remove the tumors. Surgery went well and Karma recovered well. Karma is super intelligent and very sweet loving nature. She loves to play ball, she loves to go to the creek and swim, we play a game where I find a stick and I tell her it's a beaver stick and then I throw it into the water as she dives in for it. We have so much fun. I am 47 and I've never been able to have children. Karma is my child. I also have her daughter named Megan. Karma is 11 years old now. And the large cancer masses are back again. My heart breaks.. how will I be able afford this life saving surgery that my pet needs. Please sum1 help me save my fur baby. I would be forever grateful. To have Karma by side a little while longer.
