Poppy

Poppy is a 1 year old Shih Tzu in Wichita Falls, TX, who needs $2,000 for Possible Portosystemic Shunt.

Wichita Falls, TX

Poppy is my emotional support dog. I was blessed with her when she was only 8 weeks old by a very kind breeder who lowered the price for her just to help easy my heartache of loosing my previous shih tzu after 15 years of loving him. I named her Poppy after my best friend/sister in law who I lost years ago to cancer at just 38 years old. This girl my doggy is everything to me. Poppy, had what we think was a seizure so I rushed her to emergency. It showed her liver enzymes were through the roof. She had to stay overnight on fluids, a week later same blood test showed enzymes were higher. So had to return for a liver function test. At this point we are unsure if she ate one of my mothers blood pressure pills or if she has PSS (Portosystemic shunt) waiting on results. Poppy is a complete joy. Just thinking of life without her makes me cry. She has a personality where we believe she can really understand everything we say. She is so smart, she knows how to sit, laydown, roll over, high five, and can even lie down on her side when she hears the word "bang!" She loves her little toys and likes to have you chase her around the sofa when she has one in her mouth. I am on disability with PTSD and Severe Anxiety. The vet bill right now is $2,015.63 and could be more in the next few weeks. I am scared they wont treat her if I it keeps growing with what little I can pay each month. She needs treated for proper diagnosis and care.

Vader

Vader is a 6-year-old Boxer in Wetumpka, AL, who needs $2,000 for Thoracocentesis.

Wetumpka

Vader came into our lives in the summer of 2022. He is ALL BOY and full of Zeal. We adopted him from a breeder in the Fort Knox, KY area. He was being used as a stud and extremely malnourished and aggressive when other dogs came near his new family. He had 6 previous owners and I promised him that we would take good care of him as his last FAMILY! Vader loves to go out on daily walks with his sissy Roxy and Mom. He also loves to go riding with us everywhere to protect all his girls and he sings to the tunes in truck. Well, he howls but we call it singing! He also loves to chase the goats at my parents house. He especially loves cuddling with my youngest daughter Ellie and loves giving kisses! He loves drinking water from the water hose and howling (singing). He wakes up wiggling. When we walks, he wiggles. He doesn’t walk straight…he wiggles! He doesn’t have a tail, but his legs and feet just wiggle. He wakes us up with lots of kisses and joy unspeakable. He helps my 8 year old Boxer have energy and love for life again. He got hit by a car yesterday evening on a highway. The car was traveling at least 60mph. He has internal bleeding and his lungs are leaking fluid. He’s in ICU and can’t breathe on his own without oxygen. He has a tight wrap around his stomach to stop the bleeding. He’s doing better but will have to stay until he can use the bathroom and breathe normally again. We had to pay $1900 upfront last night for his life saving measures to be put in place. However, this morning when I was contacted with his update…just from his bill overnight it changed drastically. We don’t have any money in savings and have 2 teenagers.

Bolt

Bolt is a 1-year-old Australian Sheppard in Clinton , NC, who needs $1,755 for Leg amputation.

Clinton, NC

We rescued Bolt to save him. It was raining and freezing and he was outside. We have had him for 14 months. We have a blood hound also. We are currently living with family due to finances. Bolt got his name from the white streak on his neck. He is super sweet and the best listener. His nickname is Cookie because his coloring looks like a chocolate and cream cookie. We love him beyond words. Bolt loves his family & friends. He loves to snuggle and play. His eyes are an amber color. You can just look at him and be able to communicate with him. His favorite thing outside is to chase our blood hound and swim (he looks like a beaver). He is well mannered. He makes our family feel whole. He makes our hearts so happy! Our Bolt loves his family and friends. His best 4 legged friend is his blood hound sister. He always looks like he's smiling. He is so snuggly and cute and sweet. He loves to nibble toes and steal socks. Our Bolt was hit by a truck and needs his leg amputated. He was injured and it took us an entire week before he made his way home, just using 3 legs. The Animal Hospital is the best! Dr. Davis is so personal. She sat on the floor with all of us during the entire visit. We are honored for her to take care of our babies. We are a family of 6 (4 humans and 2 fur babies). We both lost our jobs and moved in with family that already has 2 adults, 2 kids, 5 fur babies, and several fish. One of us got employees and the other is job searching. We have no choice but to reach out for assistance.
