Milagro is a 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Bowie, MD, who needs $2,000 for Lung Contusion Care.

My husband saw a little dog get hit by a car and rushed him to an emergency vet. After receiving support on Facebook, we decided to save him and named him Milagros, meaning "miracle" in Spanish. He is severely matted, unneutered, and has no microchip. Thankfully, the vet shaved him for comfort. We've reached out for help but no luck. For now, we’ll bring him home and figure out the next steps. Milagro has a hemorrhage in his left lung, but his right side is fine. His matted fur protected him. He’s in an oxygen chamber at Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty and expected to recover well. His bloodwork is normal, and his kidneys and electrolytes are great. He has a blood clot in his kidney, so he’s receiving fluids and medication. We hope to bring him home in the morning. Milagro is special because he instantly connected with my husband, who felt compelled to help him. He could have passed away before receiving care, but they trusted each other in this battle. Milagro put his full trust in my husband, and we are committed to saving him. We’re in a difficult spot after recent events set us back financially. We paid $3K upfront hoping for donations, but Milagro’s prolonged vet stay is making it hard to continue. Thankfully, the vet is helping, and we hope for good news tomorrow.

My sweet gizmo was attacked and killed by another big dog my heart was broken my daughter surprised me a little while later with Rico he has been with me since he was 8 weeks old he was born January of 2015 Rico has black nails very hard to trim he will not allow me to touch his feet he has to be sedated because of his age he needs blood work & test done they will not trim his nails unless he has the blood work they will not work payments they want it all gulf coast society veterinary clinic other vets cost more Rico is my shadow he is with me as much as possible sleeps will break my heart when he passes away I love him like my son.he loves some people some people he doesn't his nails are extremely long about to go up into his paw. They twist and get stuck please help me get him to the doctor and taken care he brings me so much happiness everyday I am disabled I draw disabled widows pay I barley can pay my bills and make it until the next check I can not pay for his nails and test. If I can't get him treated soon his nails are going to turn into his paw & he needs the blood test something is wrong with him

Oni

Oni is a 11 month old German Shepherd Dog in Saint Cloud, FL, who needs $1,000 for Cryptorchidectomy (K9 Castration).

Oni is our 11 month old giant baby. We have his mom and dad and recently took in a 20 week old puppy GSD that loves and cuddles Oni constantly. He is mostly an indoor dog and loves playing outside in the hose and water. Long story short, his testicals never dropped. The dr said we have up to a year to wait and then they need to be removed or he could develop cancer. We weren't expecting the costs to be near $900 and the year mark is coming up. The pet hospital is Narcoossee Animal Hospital. I could look for cheaper vets, but I trust these Dr's more than anything. He is by far the best and smartest GSD I have ever had. He is sweet with my kids and strangers and is a gentle giant with our 20 week old rescue female GSD. I'm lucky to work from home and he's joined some of my meetings with me or sleeps next to me in my office. I couldn't imagine not being able to sleep next to him ever night. We knew the surgery was coming up and was hoping the testicals might drop so as not to do such an invasive surgery. But unfortunately they didn't. We weren't expecting it to be between $800-$1000 and due to the time frame just can't save up fast enough.

Buddy came Into my life In 2019 two weeks after my 11 year old dog passed.my neice found him on craigslist they were rehoming him. I've had Buddy since he was 1 and a half..He's been with me 5 years.He just turned 7. I have another dog whoIs 5 she Is buddy's daughter one of buddy's 7 kids..6 months after having him he became a dad.they love each other she Is the boss..He came named already I am looking to treat his severe dental disease,Buddy got really sick so I called another vet Mill Valley Veterinary In Beltchertown,We went Jan 27 while there for his teeth I found out Buddy has type 1 diabetes.His blood count was over 500.I was shocked and devastated.so we got him on Insulin,He's In pain I can't fix his teeth financially and I can't lose my boy he saved me when no one else could Buddy is a talker he loves his walks car rides playing with other dogs being outside tanning.he loves everyone.he will give you his paw go to his bed he speaks he's an excellent guard dog.he snores like a human.he loves kids.he pretends to bite.he hates fire works.he doesn't like the rain.hes my boy I can't imagine life without him.he has play dates with other dogs. I got hurt at work 11 years ago.and am on disability I can't afford anything over 300 with my pets It would take me over a year to try and save what Buddy needs for his teeth sometimes I go without so he can have what he needs.my boy is suffering and I can't do anything

A little over 3 years ago Paris was rescued from an overbreeding situation. She now is the only dog in the household, but has a bunny sibling named Coco Puff. Her name came from her dad's last name being France, so we thought it would be cute/funny to name her Paris. Paris became acutely ill in the last few days and her liver issue progressed very quickly. She had to be rushed to the internal medicine department at NC State Veterinary Hospital e so they could figure out what was going on. It was discovered that her liver was not properly functioning. She had to have surgery to have a liver biopsy and also needed a blood transfusion. Paris is a loving, sweet, and gentle dog. She loves to lay on the couch wrapped in a blanket to sleep. When she is not taking her beauty rest she is running around outside and barking at everyone that passes by. While Paris is shy at first when meeting new people, once she trusts you she loves to cuddle and play with I am a 3rd-year veterinary student who lives on a fixed income. As a veterinary professional, I understand the expenses that occur with unexpected illnesses, and I am trying to do my best to provide Paris with the best care to give her the best chance at survival.

My beautiful Stella is 8. I was diagnosed with a serious illness she saved me w/love, cuddling always by my side I love her so much. She is always always very excited to see me. And she literally basically sleeps on top of me and takes up the whole bed, but I wouldn’t give it up for the world Stella suffered from severe allergies I think that’s what they are but my main concern is her toenails right now they’re very long and I’m too scared to cut them myself and I do not have the money to go to a vet. I currently do not have a vet because I just moved back into the area, but I’m desperate. I’m concerned that her toenails are curling into the paw. They’re very very close to paw pad I consider my Stella a diva she’s very picky of what she eats. She is sweet loves people cries when she sees children cause she just wants to go up and play with them. She knows when I’m sad. She knows when I’m happy. She knows when my illness is taking over me and she just lays right next to me until I feel better. She saved my life I was diagnosed with the serious disease. I will eventually need a transplant. I live off of SSD, which all goes to bills and rent. I’m too scared to do it myself. I’ve asked vet hospital for help but No one will help me

Kaya

Kaya has been a part of my life since 2019 when I rescued her as a kitten. She was extremely ill and weak and I nursed her back to health. Since then, we have continued to save each other in many aspects. She has been there for me through the extreme highs and lows of the last 6 years of my life and has remained my constant sense of comfort. She has since become my loving support animal. I noticed within the last 48 hours, Kaya was not acting like herself. She had become extremely lethargic, not social and moving around like normal, decreased appetite and several other symptoms. When symptoms worsened I immediately took her to Hueytown Vet where she still currently is. They are running several tests on her and as of right now we do not have an answer as to what’s going on. Kaya had been my support animal for over 5 years now. She has remained a constant in my hectic life and has always been a means of comfort. She gets along great with everyone she meets, cats, dogs, you name it. She hold a huge place in my heart as my first pet and I want to help her as much as she has helped me over the years. After being a student the last 4 years and recently graduating, I do not currently have a set income let alone an emergency fund for an unexpected emergency like this. I want to do everything in my power to give her the best care she can receive and be there every step.

We rescued Stella as a puppy. Her mom and 6 siblings were found nearly all starved to death. We have had her now for almost 2 years. I named her Stella because while watching Morden Family, when they would call out Stella, my Stella’s ears would perk up. She was 10 weeks old when we adopted her. She has an older brother Shiloh and two cat siblings. She loves to play with Shiloh the most. When Stella was 3 months old she started whimpering and we could tell her hips were sore. X-rays confirmed she was born with hip dysplasia. Our vet wants us to wait a few more years before surgery. Two weeks ago she couldn’t put weight on her left back leg, she has developed an ACL tear in her left back leg which requires surgery to at least get to her baseline of quality of life. We always say Stella is a People person’. She is so excited to see everyone all the time. If you walk out of the room and came back through the door she is just as excited as if you have just got there. She is so goofy and lovable. Always wanting to play or get a good belly rub. We are your average middle class family, just making enough to get by. The cost of this surgery is not something we would be able to come up with in our own.

Nova is our dog, Nikki's, pup. I was a few months pregnant when Nikki had her and I instantly fell in love. We weren't looking to get another dog. We have another named Nala who is 14 yrs. But we couldn't leave Nova behind. We always thought it was funny that we each had a dog with a name starting with 'N' before we got together, so we decided to use an 'N' name. We also have a 1 yr old daughter. At 3 months, Nova was having pain when picked up and would pee herself in fear when we got near her. She was diagnosed with a spinal infection and given steroids and antibiotics which helped. Months later she developed bumps all over her body. We tried allergy and fungal treatments and none worked. Now after getting X-Rays, we suspect spondylosis but need to go to a neurologist official diagnosis. Nova has always been a very sweet and friendly dog. She was always so playful and loved to antagonize her mom. She would always play with our Chihuahua, Nala, very gently and carefully. She listened so well we didn't even need to train her. She caught on quickly to things by watching Nikki. She even taught herself how to play fetch. Even now she's still such a sweet girl. We bought our first starter home just a few months ago after looking for years. We were so happy to finally have a home for our family. We still have some fixing up to do which will cost a lot. My boyfriend took a huge pay cut at work when we moved.
