Mochi
This 8-week-old pup is in critical care and needs you.
Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
Mochi is just 8 weeks old, but this tiny puppy is already facing a terrifying battle. She was found alongside her brother and is now showing severe neurological symptoms. Mochi appears to be partially blind, can barely walk, and remains in critical condition. U.S. Dog Coalition & Rescue took her to the vet, and they are concerned that she could have distemper, although her test results are still pending. Other possibilities include a serious infection or inflammation, but right now, they simply don't know what is causing her condition. What they do know is that Mochi is still fighting—and she desperately needs us to fight alongside her. They've already spent nearly $3,000 on emergency and veterinary care to give this little girl a chance. Her treatment and monitoring will continue as they work to uncover what's happening and hopefully get her stable, which will also increase the vet bills. Mochi is only a baby. She deserves the chance to grow up, play, and experience the happy life she has barely had the opportunity to begin. Right now, U.S. Dog Coalition & Rescue is asking for your help to continue providing Mochi with the emergency care she needs. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps her keep fighting. Please don't give up on her.

Dolly and 9 Puppies
Dolly had to have an emergency c-section.
Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
Dolly came to U.S. Dog Coalition as an owner surrender from a high-kill shelter in rural Northampton County. She was already in heartbreaking condition—heartworm positive, malnourished, and clearly neglected for far too long. Despite everything she had endured, she was carrying a litter of puppies and deserved a chance at a better life. When Dolly went into labor, it quickly became clear that something was terribly wrong. She was in severe distress, and there was no time to wait. They rushed her in for an emergency C-section in a desperate effort to save her and her babies. Sadly, the first puppy was born deceased. But thanks to the emergency surgery, Dolly was able to safely deliver nine puppies. The procedure saved lives, but it came at a tremendous cost. The emergency C-section bill was nearly $5,000, completely depleting their rescue funds. Dolly still has a long road ahead. She needs to recover from surgery, care for her puppies, and eventually begin treatment for her heartworm disease. We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of her emergency surgery and ongoing care. Any amount, no matter how small, will help Dolly and her puppies get the fresh start they deserve. Thank you for standing with them during this critical time.

Ripley
Help Ripley Move Forward
Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
Some stories are hard to hear—but they matter. Ripley is now safe with US Dog Coalition and Rescue, but her journey here was anything but easy. After being accidentally run over by her owner, Ripley was rushed to an emergency vet. Her injuries were devastating—her leg was completely severed, left dragging behind her, with no feeling at all. Unable to afford the life-saving care Ripley needed, her parent made the difficult decision to surrender her. From there, she ended up at a shelter, where we stepped in to give her a second chance. Ripley has since undergone amputation surgery, and we’re relieved to share that she is recovering well. But her condition when she arrived told a deeper story. She was extremely underweight and so severely matted that she had to be fully shaved down just to begin her healing process. Despite everything, Ripley is showing resilience every single day. She’s learning to move forward and beginning to understand that she is finally safe. Now, she needs continued care, proper nutrition, and support as she adjusts to life on three legs. Your donation will help cover Ripley’s medical expenses, rehabilitation, and the ongoing care she needs to truly thrive. Just as importantly, it helps us continue rescuing dogs like her who have nowhere else to turn. If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing Ripley’s story. Together, we can give her the future she deserves. 5/30/26 Update Thank you to everyone who supported Ripley on her long healing journey. She is doing amazingly well and has been adopted by her foster mom's son and lives with two non-furry siblings! It's amazing that not having her front legs doesn't seem to bother her. We really appreciate your love and care!

Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
Gisele is nothing short of a miracle dog. When the US Coalition and Rescue team found her wandering the streets alone, they knew they couldn’t leave her behind. While Gisele’s journey started in heartbreak, it’s turning into a story of hope. She already has a loving forever family waiting for her! Her new “paw-rents” have faced their own challenges. Gisele’s new dad is recovering from a stroke and has struggled with walking and fine motor skills. Since meeting Gisele, he’s begun taking short walks again with his family by his side. Gisele didn’t just find a home—she helped heal one. Now, we need your help to make sure she continues to thrive. Linus
Two Month Old Linus Needs Help Battling Broken Pelvis and Potential Neurological Issue
Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
At just a few weeks old, Linus found himself being surrendered to the local shelter. He arrived with an extremely large fluid-filled area on his tiny tummy. Due to lack of resources at the shelter, they were unable to properly diagnose him and get him the care he desperately needed. The shelter quickly contacted US Dog Coalition and Rescue, who took him in. Initially, there were a few possibilities- a broken tail or inguinal hernia. They began Linus on antibiotics to address the fluid build up. Although, shortly after arriving to his foster home, his foster noticed that he was dragging his leg and appeared to be uncomfortable. Linus began to cry out in pain at times and was having difficulty using the bathroom. He was quickly taken back to the vet where they discovered Linus has a fractured pelvis, as well as a smaller pelvic canal than normal. The rescue quickly acted and has begun various testing to understand what all Linus is facing. He is being screened for various diseases, has a neurologist consultation pending, and, of course, is being closely monitored. Linus is just a few months old. What could have possible happened to warrant such heartbreaking condition? US Dog Coalition is determined to get Linus back on track to live a long healthy life like every puppy deserves. Please consider supporting his journey back to health. Update 02/12/25 Linus is such a fighter! He has been to multiple different vets to get opinions on his treatment plan and the resounding agreement is he is not beyond repair (like the very first group suggested and mentioned to "just euthanize him"). The poor puppy does have numerous breaks in his hip and pelvic bones on both side, likely from being hit by a car. The breaks are also the reasoning behind his narrow pelvic canal and incontinence. No neuro issues detected- yay! The rescue has continued to shower Linus with love and are dedicated to given him a pain free, healthy, happy growing up. Of course, none of this would be possible with out your support- thank you!

Annie
Help Annie Heal Her Mental and Physical Wounds
Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
Annie was found as a stray wandering with her nine puppies. They were all taken to a nearby shelter. Her puppies were quickly rescued or adopted, as cute puppies are, but Annie, on the other hand, was left behind. Thankfully, US Dog Coalition and Rescue stepped in to help. Annie's poor five-year-old body is riddled with trauma, both mentally and physically. She was so shut down by the time she arrived, that she needed to be carried into her foster home. She was set up in a quiet room with windows all to herself, but remained motionless, only moving when she was flinching at movements or noise. She only snuck food or bathroom breaks when nobody was watching her. At her vet appointment to evaluate her physical health, she sadly tested positive for heartworms. She also has a residual wound that she came to the shelter with. It is assumed that it is a bite mark of some kind. Likely one she received defending her 9 puppies as a stray. US Dog Coalition is determined to teach Annie that she deserves a good life, a life she should have had from day one. Thankfully, the good life has started, filled with safety, love, and kindness, but she is having trouble embracing it due to her past traumas. Please consider donating today to help Annie heal.

Scout
Scout is a 6 month old Yorkshire Terrier in Fuquay Varina, NC, who needs $2,000 for Gastroenteritis.
Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
US Dog Coalition and Rescue Scout was born into backyard breeder hell. At 17 weeks old, he was an owner surrender, meaning he was adopted and returned. Humans failed this little baby, shuffling him from one place to the next, like he was an object, not treating him with the love and care he deserved. He had no stability, resulting in a lot of anxiety. At six months, it landed him in the ER, with a dangerously high fever. US Dog Coalition and Rescue intervened to get Scout the life-saving care he needed. At just 5 pounds, Scout was fighting for his life for several days at an emergency hospital with a fever, infection, lethargy, no appetite, and dangerously low blood pressure. At one point, his blood pressure was so low they could not even detect a pulse. But, Scout fought hard to live. Scout was ultimately diagnosed with gastroenteritis, an inflammation of the stomach and intestines. He also had a very light case of hookworms. The combination of the stress he had endured in his short life plus the hookworms is most likely what caused his sickness. Thankfully, Scout now rests easily in a foster home recovering. He is a shy boy, taking a second to realize he is no longer being poked with needles. He is the absolute sweetest. US Dog Coalition and Rescue is determined to make things right for Scout and show him that he is worthy! Please consider donating to help support their mission to turn things around for this little guy.

Keep US Dog Coalition and Rescue Dogs in Their Homes!
Keep US Dog Coalition and Rescue Dogs in Their Homes! - needs $2,000 for Adoptee Training Programs
Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
US Dog Coalition and Rescue We are a registered 501(c)(3) organization, and our adoption fee is $350. Included in this fee are four mandatory one-hour training sessions that cover basic dog training fundamentals—every adopter must complete these classes, without exception. These sessions are designed to ensure that every dog and adopter start off on the right foot. Our trainer, who also volunteers with us, is available to assist adopters who may struggle with training their dog, face challenges in keeping their dog, or simply need advice after bringing their new companion home. While we do accept owner surrenders from our adopters, we strongly encourage them to try training first. Our goal is to work closely with adopters to find solutions to any problems they encounter, rather than immediately taking the dogs back into our program. If a dog does need to be returned, we leverage our trainer’s expertise to address any behavioral issues before making the dog available for adoption again. Our primary objectives are to: 1. Thoroughly vet applicants before adoption, 2. Provide ongoing support and education for our adopters, and 3. Equip adopters with the training they need to be the best dog owners they can be. Mission: Our mission at the US Dog Coalition & Rescue is to improve the lives of street dogs in Mexico and the US through rescue, nourishment, and spay/neuter initiatives. Our goal is to promote companion animal well-being, eliminate unnecessary euthanasia, and empower communities through resources, education, and comprehensive programs.

Antonio
Antonio is a 3 month old German Shepherd Dog in Fuquay Varina, NC, who needs $2,000 for Two Broken Legs.
Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
3-month old Antonio was found lying on the side of the road after he had been tragically hit by a car and left all alone, nobody stopping to help him. Eventually, a Good Samaritan stopped to pick him up, and took him to the local shelter. The shelter barely had the funds to take x-rays of his legs and was desperately trying to find a rescue to take him in. US Dog Coalition and Rescue came across Antonio and rushed to his aid without hesitation, knowing the medical expenses to help him could potentially exceed their available funds by many thousands of dollars. Although, the rescue did not expect a price tag of "minimum $10,000" to correct Antonio's broken legs on the right side of his body, both the front and back legs. Antonio is a very smart and eager-to-please kind of puppy. He has so much love to give, and we are so heartbroken to see him lying in his crate all day since the splints immobilize him. In order to properly heal, he unfortunately has to be slightly sedated to stay calm. Without surgery, poor Antonio will have to suffer for an additional 6-8 weeks with weekly bandage changes and in pain. US Dog Coalition and Rescue will never stop helping dogs in need, no matter how steep the cost may be. $10,000 is a HUGE amount of money for a smaller rescue. Please consider donating to Antonio so that we can continue our mission.
