Dixie
Dixie needed a second chance.
Grandview, TN • Flying Pigs Sanctuary
When sweet senior terrier Dixie suddenly stopped feeling like herself, her family knew something was wrong. She lost her appetite, developed severe diarrhea, and just wasn't the happy little dog they knew and loved. After an initial veterinary visit, they were told her symptoms were likely related to neck pain. But something didn't feel right. Trusting their instincts, they sought a second opinion—and we're so grateful they did. Flying Pigs Sanctuary veterinarian discovered two tumors in Dixie's mammary glands and found that she was in desperate need of a dental procedure. The answers they had been searching for were finally found. As part of their community outreach program, Flying Pigs Animal Sanctuary helps families facing overwhelming veterinary costs. After already spending money on a visit that didn't uncover the real problem, Dixie's family was struggling to afford the treatment she desperately needed. They stepped in to cover the cost of her surgery to remove the tumors and give her the dental care she needed. Every donation goes towards covering Dixie's medical care. If you'd like to help Flying Pigs Sanctuary continue providing her the best care and support, please consideration making a donation of any size today. Together, we're giving animals like Dixie the second chance they deserve 7/17/26 Update Thanks to all of you, Dixie is doing fantastic! She has made a great recovery, and her eating has greatly improved. She is running around and feeling like a brand new dog. It wouldn't have been possible without the support from all of you.

Linus (first- grant)
Two Month Old Linus Needs Help Battling Broken Pelvis and Potential Neurological Issue
Fuquay Varina, NC • US Dog Coalition and Rescue
At just a few weeks old, Linus found himself being surrendered to the local shelter. He arrived with an extremely large fluid-filled area on his tiny tummy. Due to lack of resources at the shelter, they were unable to properly diagnose him and get him the care he desperately needed. The shelter quickly contacted US Dog Coalition and Rescue, who took him in. Initially, there were a few possibilities- a broken tail or inguinal hernia. They began Linus on antibiotics to address the fluid build up. Although, shortly after arriving to his foster home, his foster noticed that he was dragging his leg and appeared to be uncomfortable. Linus began to cry out in pain at times and was having difficulty using the bathroom. He was quickly taken back to the vet where they discovered Linus has a fractured pelvis, as well as a smaller pelvic canal than normal. The rescue quickly acted and has begun various testing to understand what all Linus is facing. He is being screened for various diseases, has a neurologist consultation pending, and, of course, is being closely monitored. Linus is just nine weeks old. What could have possible happened to warrant such heartbreaking condition? US Dog Coalition is determined to get Linus back on track to live a long healthy life like every puppy deserves. Please consider supporting his journey back to health.

Jerry
Jerry is a 7 year old Poodle in Murphy, TX, who needs $2,000 for FHO and Mylegram.
Murphy, TX • CAMO Rescue
Three long weeks ago, Jerry was found in a desperate and heartbreaking state—dragging himself on the ground after being attacked by a large dog. For three agonizing weeks, this poor boy suffered without the ability to walk, enduring unbearable pain because his finder couldn’t afford the surgery he so desperately needed. Today, there’s hope for Jerry, but we need your help to make it happen. Dr. Hanson, our trusted orthopedic vet, has assured us that with a $3,500 surgery and a myelogram, Jerry has a real chance to walk again. This sweet pup is currently at the orthopedic vet, finally receiving the care he’s been waiting for. His surgery deposit was $1,600, and we are determined to raise the rest to give him the life he deserves. Together, we can give Jerry the second chance he deserves Jerry’s journey has been long and painful, but it doesn’t have to end this way. He can walk again, live pain-free, and experience the joy of simply being a dog. Please consider donating to Jerry’s surgery and recovery fund. Every dollar will go directly toward his medical care, and no contribution is too small. CAMO Rescue, a 501(c)3 nonprofit specializing in saving small breeds with the greatest medical needs.

Casper
Casper is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Magnolia, TX, who needs $300 for Flea Treatment and Veterinary Care.
Magnolia, TX • D&A Animal Rescue
D&A Animal Rescue We received a heartbreaking plea about two young dogs dumped in a wooded area. A kind homeowner noticed them scavenging for food and water, but the dogs were too frightened to approach. With coyotes, deer, and a treacherous road nearby, time was of the essence. We assessed the situation with extreme caution to avoid scaring them further. Our patience paid off, and we successfully trapped both dogs! Today, these two little ones are safe from the scorching heat and terrifying storms. They are now settling into warm beds and cool AC. However, they have so many fleas and are definitely underweight. We are taking it slow, recognizing that they need time to trust. Now, we need YOUR help! With proper vetting and socialization, we are confident they will become adoptable soon. Can you support their care? Every contribution, big or small, is ENORMOUSLY appreciated. Let's work together to give these deserving dogs a second chance at a happy life!

Lily
Lily is a 7 year old American Cocker Spaniel in Houston, TX, who needs $700 for Emergency Hospitalization and Skin Treatment.
Houston, TX • ThisIsHouston
Lily has been suffering from neglect for a very long time. The sad part is that she is microchipped and has been owned her whole life. Her owner has been sick and in the hospital, so the brother was trusted to care for Lily. She was apparently missing for a week when she was found. The owner surrendered Lily to ThisIsHouston to give Lily the best chance at recovery. Lily was found with wounds and maggots all over her body. Once she arrived to the ER, she was sedated, cleaned up, and shaved down. She has severe chronic skin issues, even on her forehead, and she’s itchy all over. There are old wounds which go all down her spine. She’s blind with cataracts in both eyes. The inside of both ears are narrowed from chronic ear infections. She likely had chronic skin and ear issues her whole life which weren’t managed. Bloodwork has been showing elevated white blood cell count so she’s battling infection somewhere. She had a fever of 107 when she arrived to the ER on Sunday. She has no appetite. Her stomach and small intestine are both full of fluid which will need to be pulled off. Lily has an extremely long road ahead. This poor girl is a mess. ThisIsHouston is determined to do everything they can to make her better. Please consider donating to help this sweet soul receive the necessary treatment. Update: After treating her ears, eyes, and skin conditions, Lily is finally on the road to recovery! Now that she is feeling better, she is revealing her spunky personality. In even better news, she has found her forever home. However, Lily's medical bills still remain. Please consider donating to help cover the cost of her treatment.

Serenity
Serenity is a 10-year-old Mixed Breed in Columbia, MD, who needs $2,000 for Amputation of the Front Left Leg.
Columbia, MD
Serenity is a ten-year-old mixed breed dog we adopted as a 7-week-old puppy. She was billed as a pure breed German Shepherd, but DNA proved that wrong. She has seven different breeds! She has had a blessed life with four cats and 2-days a week at playdates. Living in Maryland she gets car rides daily and goes everywhere with her family. She loves interacting with people and is often called the neighborhood welcome party. Mostly she enjoys sitting near Mom as she works. When visitors arrive, she is the first to greet them usually with butt wags and small barks. She is the center of the house and our family. She is incredibly special due to her coloring. In the last four years, she has turned white on her head. As a surprise when told it was vitiligo. The same problem that Michael Jackson had and most people did not know that it was something that dogs can experience. It makes her so beautiful and special. December 2023 had Serenity limping which led us to make a veterinary appointment. Thinking it was just a pulled muscle we were heartbroken to find that it was bone cancer. After several veterinary appointments and testing the cancer is limited to her left front leg. We scheduled to have the leg removed but the bill of $7578.18 plus earlier bills $2,740.60. Pressing is the surgery cost. I can only get a loan for $4800 and if my credit is not perfect it is a high rate. Hoping for assistance with this bill.

Aurora
Aurora is a 9-year-old Mix in Geneva, OH, who needs $200 for Diagnostics and Treatment for Severe Vomiting.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Sweet, lovable Aurora was surrendered to a shelter when her owner was evicted from her home. When the shelter noticed that Aurora wasn't feeling well, they contacted us and we transferred her quickly into our sanctuary program. Aurora adores her caretakers and is friendly with the other dogs here. Even when she's not feeling well, she wants to be close to her humans and sleeps on their feet. She's been so good with all the poking and prodding that she's gotten at the vet hospital and takes her medications like a champ. Most endearing is Aurora's broad smile and loving eyes. When she looks at you, she melts your heart. Her warmth radiates to your soul and you can't help but feel her love and tenderness. Aurora was vomiting quite a bit when she arrived and needs x-rays and continued medications to diagnose and treat her symptoms and improve her appetite. Dr. Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital, is treating her. As a registered, nonprofit animal rescue and sanctuary, we rely on donations to pay for the medical care of the animals in our program. We've raised money for Aurora's lab testing, but we need to ask for donations for her x-rays and medications. Please help Aurora.

Clementine
Clementine is a 4-month-old German Shepherd Puppy in Wichita, KS, who needs $1,120 for Wound Management.
Wichita, KS
Clementine presented to Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita by a good samaritan. She had wounds to her left rear leg when they found her. Due to her coming in as a stray, a call out to rescues to see if anyone had any available space to take this sweet girl under their care. German Shepherd Rescue of Iowa was able to take her in but is needing help with the bill. Clementine is a very happy puppy despite everything that she is currently going through. She is interested in playing with others. Clementine is initially being fostered by one of the technicians that help take care of her during her hospital stay. She will have exposure to other animals and people during this time. How can anyone not fall in love with that sweet little face?!?! German Shepherd Rescue of Iowa immediately welcomed her to their rescue and can not want to have her transported to them to start her journey to her forever home! Clementine has not let this slow her down and is recovering well from this. Clementine presented with wounds to her hind limb, more than 10 open wounds on her leg! They were 2-3 mm, which was highly infected. Initially there were concerns about the leg possibly being broken due to the crepitus that was found and the amount of swelling that was there upon presentation. She required sedation, radiographs & wound management. Radiographs revealed that the limb was not broken The German Shepherd of Iowa Rescue was able to commit to Clementine to make sure that she gets the care that she is needing. And then to find her a fur-ever home! It will take some time for Clementine to recover from this.

Nina
Nina is a 9-year-old American Bully in Gaithersburg, MD, who needs $2,000 for Mastectomy.
Gaithersburg, MD
Nina came into our lives when she was 4 months old. I saw her on a Craigslist ad and I have always loved the Bully breed. Her mother and father were both purple ribbon winners in Florida and she was purchased there and brought back to Maryland. The gentleman who purchased her could no longer keep her and sold her to me for $500. She was an amazingly smart dog from the beginning. Growing up Nina had many different siblings, numerous cats and dogs were in and out due to me fostering. She was definitely a nanny dog, she loved all animals, from mice to Great Danes, she never discriminated. I have 3 children she was also raised with, ages ranged from 13 years down to newborn. When I had my baby, she stayed by his side from day one up until this day. Nina is the best dog ever! She doesn’t beg, she’s never been aggressive, she loves to play soccer, she will run for the ball and grab it and have you chase her all around the yard. Sun bathing is her favorite past time, she will lay out for hours just enjoying the warmth. She also loves the snow, she is so funny as soon as she sees snow, she is flying thru the snow trying to eat it. Nina has always been healthy growing up, around the end of 8 years she began getting ear infections and UTIs. I was able to manage those but about 6 months ago a growth showed up and kept getting bigger. I took her to go when animal hospital and had X-rays and blood work done. She has a mass in her mammary gland that needs to be removed. I’m currently unemployed & a single mother of 3, I go to school full time & only receive $233/month. I am truly struggling to keep afloat. Nina has been with our family for 10 years, she is family, she is my children’s best friend. I couldn’t imagine life without her.

Moose
Moose is a 6-year-old Doberman in Wichita, KS, who needs $2,000 for Heartworm Treatment.
wichita, KS
Moose grew our family by four feet in November of 2016. We got him from a laundry basket in the Kohl's parking lot in Grand Prairie TX. We had no idea that the little doberman puppy we got off craigslist to be our "Guard Dog" would become such a huge and important part of our story. He has been the best dog a family could ask for! Moo Moo is our best friend. If you've ever met him you know that he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. When we lived in Waco he would lay in the yard with the chickens and let them run around him. His favorite person is his dad, Taylor. If Moo is not lounging on the couch you can find him cuddling in bed with his dad. He greats everyone at the door with a smile. He has no idea what size he is. Taylor made the mistake of teaching him how to shake and now he thinks it's his main job to hold your hand all the time. We have to warn new guest that he WILL sit on you and swat at you until you hold his hand. He also doesn't understand the size of his tail and any beverages on low surfaces are destined to get wacked and spilled. In October Moo was taken to the ER vet clinic for a sore that he had gotten while visiting my parents. While we were there they told us that they wanted to do a heartworm test and it came back positive. We seeked treatment at a local vet and they supplied us with an estimate on getting rid of them. The estimate is $2,000.00 after Xrays, Bloodwork (again),1 month of Doxi, and 3 shots of melarsomine Since moving to Kansas our financial situation has been... rocky. To be honest we can't afford to do this without help from our friends and family. Moose means everything to us and he has survived through all kinds of crazy scenarios. We appreciate all the help we can get.

Frosty
Frosty is a 4-year-old French Bulldog in Redlands, CA, who needs $2,000 for Stenotic Nares, Soft Palate Resection, Everted Laryngeal Saccule Removal, and Dental COHAT.
Redlands, CA
Frosty was rehomed to our family November 2022. We’re we’re so excited to add this guy to our family. Right away we new he had some struggles. Regurgitation after meals, heat and exercise intolerance. Sleep apnea. But the most scary part was he would go into these strange episodes where he would struggle to breath, panic and stop breathing all together, as if choking on something. Frosty is all about the snuggles. Would sun bathe all day if we let him. Loves to say hi to people on our walks. Loves to snack on blueberries and bananas. First thing in the morning he greets everyone in our household, especially grandma. He has to spend time with her, before work. we love him so much. He brings such joy in our hearts. At first look, we fell in love with Frosty, we wanted to take care of him. He loves to visit our local pet store for his goodies. Sometimes Frosty gets the zoomies first thing in the morning. Lives car rides, going to work with mom, where he makes new friends. His favorite treats are blueberries, and he will do anything to get those yummy treats. First breathing issue he had, we took him to the ER. Vet thought he had a mild allergy issue. But the. It kept happening. It was so scary. Frosty would panic so much he would soil himself. After frosty has his last breathing episode. I found a vet who works with bullybreeds. She educated me on Brachycephalic airway obstructive syndrome (BOAS). Between Christmas of2022 and new years 2023, A member of our household lost his job. Placed major financial burden on us..Vet diagnosed Exercise Intolerance,Regurgitation, Stenotic Nares, NASAL STERTOR/STRIDOR, Sleep Apnea, Dental Disease. Estimated 5k for treatment

Diamond
Diamond is a 9-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $444 for Surgery for Tumor Removal and Dental Extractions.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Subsisting for years outdoors in a dilapidated chicken coop, a rope around her neck, Diamond suffered needlessly. How she survived without access to food and water is a mystery. Neighbors called AC repeatedly to report the ghastly situation, but when officers arrived, the owner came outside with his rifle. Occasionally, one of those neighbors threw a jar of peanut butter over the property line. After a week had passed with no sight of Diamond’s owner outside, neighbors again called AC and the authorities found him dead inside his house. Diamond was finally free! Safe now at the Sanctuary, she luxuriates in the comfort of her first bed in 13 years and enjoys peaceful sleep. Diamond is quiet and sweet and so well-behaved that it's hard to imagine what her past was like. She may be deaf, but 13-year-old Diamond hears best with her heart. Not only is Diamond deaf, her vision is severely impaired, and she has a grade 4 heart murmur, but no significant heart enlargement at this time. She also has tumors on her vulva, belly and back. She can be a bit of a drama queen when it's time for ear cleanings and nail clippings, but some tasty treats will settle her down. Diamond came to us urinating blood. After a course of antibiotics, the bloody urine stopped and thankfully, the tests for bladder cancer, so common in old beagles, have come back negative. The next step is to surgically remove the tumors and perform a complete dental to remove her rotting teeth. We might not be able to undo Diamond’s horrific past, but we intend to make her future shiny and bright. As a registered nonprofit rescue, we rely on donations to pay for vet bills. We have raised funds for her lab tests but need to raise funds for her surgery.

Trishia
Trishia is a 6-year-old Mix breed in Bend, OR, who needs $507 for Tail Amputation.
Bend, OR • People Saving Animals
Trishia is a homeless dog. She was rescued from the streets of Guatemala when she was a puppy. Whoever rescued her took her to a shelter, where she receives food and has a place to sleep. She also has the opportunity to share with other dogs. She has 6 years now. She, like all the dogs at the shelter, hopes to find a family that will adopt her. She is a happy and playful dog. She likes to share with other dogs. Her best friend is Meghan, they have shared the same cage for many years. They are the same age and arrived at the shelter at the same time. They both really like to go for walks. Every day, a shelter employee takes them out for a walk and that is their favorite time of day. She, like other homeless dogs, had difficult experiences on the street. She probably got hungry and cold; maybe someone yelled at her. However, she does not lose her joie de vivre... and has not lost trust in people. When a person approaches its cage, it will jump up and bark to get your attention. For reasons unknown to shelter employees, at mealtime, several dogs started a fight. Trishia was bitten on the tail and it fractured. The vet determined that amputation was necessary. In addition, the tail area needed to be disinfected and treated with antibiotics. It was especially important to treat her with an antibiotic, so she wouldn't get infected. Trishia is in a shelter in rural Guatemala that is at full capacity and with limited resources. There is no veterinarian at this shelter, so she had to be transferred to a vet in Guatemala City, where she could be treated appropriately.

Happy
Happy is a 13-year-old Beagle in Asheville, NC, who needs $400 for Surgery for Cyst.
Asheville, NC
After our other beagle, KC passed away in 2010, we were heart broken and began to look for another beagle to adopt. We found Happy at Brother Wolf animal rescue around Christmas. We adopted him in January 2011. He has a torn ear lobe and chain scars on his legs from the cruelty he suffered from his original owner in Madison County. He lives alone with us in our apartment and loves us very much. Happy has been brother to two Shih Tzus over time. Majik was a black female who had belonged to Patricia's sister who passed away. Buttons was a white male we rescued from the curb outside our apartment building about three years ago. Happy is very friendly and has become a fixture in the apartment community, baying at everyone so they will pet him. Strangers call out to him by name on our walks. Happy has learned to smile but is still very timid around large dogs. Once he and Majik pulled down the blinds and tried to escape, but the cord caught on Happy's leg and he panicked, causing us to laugh as we imagined Majik calling, "Run Happy, Run!" Happy won't play with toys, but has fun pretending to growl with me as we tussle. Happy needs surgery to remove a cyst that has grown too large to ignore. It ruptured this week and he has been very uncomfortable. We put a bandage on it and keep him on heavy sedation with benadryl, aspirin, vallerian root, and gabapentin. He is scheduled to have the surgery today and the Vet has agreed to let us pay part of the cost later. We also are behind on his vaccinations. After the pandemic hit, Patricia lost her job and we have been living on our fixed income Social Security and a few odd jobs working from home. Happy is like our child and we wish for him to live out his natural life with us.

Stone
Stone is a 2-year-old Border Collie in Scroggins, TX, who needs $927 for Forelimb Amputation.
Scroggins, TX • 7 Pups from the Pines
Stone found himself far from home! We can tell this sweet guy had an owner who loved him, but so far we have been unable to locate them despite our best efforts. He was found in December 2022, near Lake Cypress Springs in Mount Vernon, TX without a collar or microchip present. Our rescue was contacted in early January 2023 by the community member who found him. Currently in a foster home, Stone has shown that he is friendly and compatible alongside a wide variety of other animals and humans. Stone has an affectionate, calm, and even-temperament, which gives him great potential for adapting well to both the physical changes in his body and a new environment. While Stone has a very long road of medical treatment & rehabilitation ahead of him, he WILL be able to recover and go on to enjoy a normal, long, and healthy life. He is currently receiving treatment for heartworms, and we have provided all other necessary medical care he needed. Since being under our guardianship he is now also microchipped, fully vaccinated, and on parasite prevention. Unfortunately Stone was found with a significant injury to his front right leg. It was initially thought to be a wound from another animal, however x-rays confirmed it to be the result of a gunshot wound. The firearm fractured his leg so significantly that it is damaged beyond repair, and will require amputation. As a new rescue organization operating on a grassroots level with limited funds and volunteer support, Stone’s needs exceed our current resources. Since his diagnosis we have been actively exploring all pathways for assistance.

Tootie
Tootie is a 7-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $44 for Refill Needed of Anti-Nausea Medication.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Tootie is one of the "Triplets" here at The Sanctuary. Born with Blind Truman and Taffy, Tootie is the lightest brindle, the smallest and the most sensitive of the three. Once we learned that she was available and needed a soft spot to land, we immediately made the 11 hour round trip drive to pick her up. Like her brother, Blind Truman, she suffers from hypertension which, thankfully, is now being controlled with medications. Tootie has recently developed kidney disease and is on medications to slow it’s progression. Tootie is the most emotional one of the three siblings and she's very bonded to them. They are her security blankets and it's hard to get photos of Tootie alone. Toot-toot-Tootie, with her golden gaze, luminous eyes and beautiful brindle coat, may be a small hound, but her effect on us is large. Sweeter than sweet, extremely friendly, affectionate and funny, with a “ROOOOOO” that’s the envy of hounds everywhere, this girl is one happy honey who never stops wiggling and whose long tail never stops wagging when she’s feeling well and with her littermates. Tootie has a very sensitive digestive system and is prone to intermittent upsets, diarrhea and vomiting, despite being on a limited ingredient diet. Tests don't reveal anything serious, thankfully but we need to keep anti-nausea medications on hand for when her digestion goes haywire and it's time to order a refill. She's being treated by Dr. Zulandt, owner of Madison Veterinary Hospital. As a nonprofit animal rescue, we provide sanctuary and medical care for special needs animals that are deemed unadoptable and we rely on donations to pay for their vet bills. Tootie's other medical bills have been paid, but we need help raising funds for this prescription.

Truman
Truman is a 7-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $442 for urgent dental surgery.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
With no place else to go and showing signs of going blind, Truman needed someone with a big heart to take him in. Luckily Duane J. from NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue and Sanctuary swooped in to save him. "Truman is always the first to greet his caretakers at the door, and he's the first to meet the incoming hounds," Duane tells Waggle. "He's become a helper hound and supervises his caretaker as she prepares food bowls for his friends." Everyone at the sanctuary loved Truman so much that when his siblings needed help, they took them in too. "Two of his sisters have special needs, and the three are known as 'The Triplets,'" Duane says. Truman is battling many health issues, including advanced progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), which will rob him of his sight, high blood pressure, and terrible teeth. "Truman is cursed with bad gums, and no amount of brushing, scaling, liquid additives, or wipes will prevent tooth loss," Duane says. "He's at the point where he needs to have several teeth extracted due to excessive gum recession." Now the Greyhound rescue is racing to raise the money for Truman's surgery. "As a nonprofit animal rescue, we provide sanctuary and medical care for special needs animals deemed unadoptable, and we rely on donations to pay for their vet bills," Duane says. "Truman is one of those special needs hounds that needs your support. Can you help us help him?"

Paddington
Paddington is a 5-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $422 for Hernia Repair Surgery, Dental Surgery and Treatment for Lyme Disease.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Paddington was found as a stray at a county shelter. No one claimed him and he was transferred to The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue. We are not sure if Paddington is a full blooded greyhound, but we know that he is not a retired racer. It's likely that he may be a product of a back yard breeder that produces greyhound mixes for field trials, a popular but dangerous sport. Sweet Paddington is learning to live in a house. He's curious and friendly and gets excited when he sees the other hounds. He loves affection and is patient and quiet when being groomed. He likes to run but he also likes to nap in comfort. He doesn't really know what toys are but he watches the other hounds play. Paddington is doing well with his potty training, but needs to go frequently. One of Paddington's most enduring qualities is his smile. Like all greyhounds, he opens his mouth wide with soft, gentle eyes. He's a gentle giant, a sweet soul but he also is beginning to show us his goofy side. He's learning his name and learning to come when called. He's learning to walk quietly on a leash and he's learning that life can be very comfortable and safe.. When Paddington arrived, he had an injured paw and several cuts and scrapes when he arrived and a very large hernia that needed to be repaired as well as a dental. His presurgical lab tests showed that he had active Lyme disease, with many of the symptoms, including kidney disease and a urinary tract infection. NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue is a nonprofit that takes in special needs hounds that need medical attention. Most of these hounds are overlooked by potential adopters and don't have many options. We rely on donations from kind people to pay for vet bills and medication.

Malibu
Malibu is a 1-year-old Bulldog in Vandergrift, PA, who needs $850 for urgent care.
Vandergrift, PA • TinyCause
Emaciated, filled with parasites, and discarded after breeding puppies, Malibu needs your help! "Malibu was surrendered to our rescue at TinyCause once she was no longer needed for breeding," Darla H., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "She is an extremely underweight and malnourished Bulldog who appears to have given almost all she had for her last litter of puppies," Malibu is just one year old. "Her young body has already been through so much, and she was suffering," Darla says. Now Malibu is getting the care she needs, and the rescue is trying to raise the money to cover her medical bills. Once strong enough for surgery, she will be spayed and never has to have a litter of puppies again. Please give to Malibu's campaign so she can have a new start in the new year. "She has found the most loving foster home where she is settling in slowly," Darla adds. "Home life seems to be a whole new experience, and she is very timid, but so far an absolute sweetheart. We can't wait to see her confidence grow week by week as she starts feeling her best self."

Monroe
Monroe is a 2-year-old Hound in Huntington, WV, who needs $2,000 for emergency surgery.
Huntington, WV • One by One Animal Advocates
Monroe cheated death -- twice! First, a car going more than 70 miles per hour struck Monroe. "It tossed his body like a rag doll," Heather A., with One By One Animal Advocates, tells Waggle. "The driver never slowed down, leaving Monroe's lifeless body to be hit again and possibly killed." A good Samaritan spotted Monroe, scooped him up, and raced him to an animal hospital. It was a miracle he survived! But without someone to pay for his care, he faced being euthanized. That's when One By One got a phone call they'll never forget. "The ER said Monroe's pelvis, hind legs, and a joint were all broken. He had severe bruising in his lungs and was in excruciating pain," Heather says. Monroe needed several expensive surgeries to save him, and One By One had a tough decision: Can they afford his care? That's when Monroe got another miracle. A renowned orthopedic veterinarian offered to do all Monroe's surgeries and rehab at cost -- without making any money. Now the nonprofit group is hoping for one last miracle: to raise the money to pay for Monroe's care. "We are tired and emotional messes after thinking we may have to euthanize Monroe, only for this angel to open his arms, heart, and veterinary practice," Heather says. "Monroe is worth every penny!" Please give so Monroe can get the miracle he needs.

Mattie
Mattie is a 6-year-old Beagle in Alexandria, VA, who needs $1,300 for Dental Extractions.
Alexandria, VA
I rescued an Envigo beagle about a month ago. He came from Virginia research center where he was treated very poorly. He has never walked on grass, fed properly or loved and cared for properly. He was kept for 5 years and 11 months in a cage. He has separation anxiety, motion anxiety and vomits every time he is in a car. He is not very good living with other dogs so he lives alone with me. I have seen tremendous amount change in one month I had him. He is now loving to be around other dogs in the Neibour hood, he made so many friends and everyone loves him so much. His very friendly already and loves playing with his friends. We go for walk in a park daily. He still doesn’t understand to play with toys. He sleeps with me and we have connected within two days that I got him. I boned with Mattie right away because he is very sweet, quiet and just loves to sleep. The only time he barks is when he smells food or sees other dogs he wants to socialize with. He and I jog daily and he is very competitive. Of course he outrun me all the time but he waits for me if he goes too far:) we play at home to just chasing him around. His favorite treat is dried chicken. Mattie came to me with uncontrollable itching and also happen to have a few rotten teeth. I only found out during adoption about his itch and I thought I could try and help him. A few days later the adoption center told me he needs teeth extraction. I had no idea how much that will cost but when I learn it was going to cost a lot my heart got torn. I did not won’t to part from Mattie. I am a low income and I recently just paid my car properly tax and a few own medical bill. Also paid adoption fee for Mattie and his bed, food, toys and paid vet visit. Currently I can not come up for almost $1500 for Mattie’s teeth extraction.

Piwi
Piwi is a 1-year-old Heeler Mix in Lompoc, CA, who needs $600 for Parvovirus.
Lompoc, CA
Piwi is 1 year and 3 months he’s still a small pup but unfortunately has parvo I had him since 3weeks so I’m very attached to him. He is hospitalized and is an emergency hospital surviving everyday, he’s a strong little guy but financially it’s hard to keep up. It’s hard seeing him so depressed and sad I just wish to see him happy again. Piwi is a fun and loving dog. He is a cattle mix so he’s naturally a very hyper dog. He loves to jump, hop, run, and annoy you, but that’s the best part about him. He loves to go to anyone, that’s what I live about him; that he doesn’t have favorites. He likes to give hugs and kisses and loves to eat. He’s a little vacuum. Something about piwi is that is a very smart dog. He looks at you in a way that makes you very special. Like I mentioned before he gives kisses. I never actually trained him to do that but it’s like he knows. Even being at his worst he was able to give me one, which broke my heart knowing how special of a dog he really is. Piwi has parvo. He has all his vaccines and unfortunately even with his vaccines he picked it up. We didn’t know he had it until we had taken him to the vet and they then gave of the news. He is in the emergency hospital getting treatment everyday, but because of the treatment it has greatly impacted us with the money. It’s getting too expensive and would love some help. To have my pet healthy again it would make me the happiest pet owner ever. Many people have told me it may be best to let him go, but i still have faith that he will be able to overcome this ugly virus. He makes me very happy and is just like another family member.

Betty White
Betty White is a 3-year-old Shar Pei/Pitty in Chandler, AZ, who needs $772 for Tumor Removal.
Chandler, AZ • Underdog Rescue of Arizona
Betty White was found as a stray, malnourished and in extreme pain. She had had puppies recently, was suffering from mastitis and was terrified of everything and everyone. She is now recovering in her current foster home (after moving foster homes four times) and blossoming into the most snuggly, appreciative dog on the planet, she just wants love and cuddles. Betty wants nothing more than to give love and affection to a person who can show her a safe and loving environment where she can grow into the best dog she can be! This 50 lb gal has been spending her days lounging in the sun on the grass and playing chase with her foster siblings or that occasional bird/butterfly. When she's done playing, Betty likes to come inside and roll over for tummy rubs! Betty thinks she is human, and wants to be with her human and doing whatever her human is doing. Sometimes she even jumps into the dining room chairs to help herself to the dinner on the table! Betty also is no stranger to taking up the whole couch for afternoon naps and dipping her toes in the pool on the baha step. Betty has had multiple treatments/surgeries for mastitis and lumps, she has been clear for about six months and now has a growing lump that we need to remove and send out to see if cancerous. (initial findings are showing possible cancer cells). Betty is a foster dog, we are run solely on donations, we are volunteer based, and the dogs we take usually need medical or long term foster care, expenses add up quickly. Betty is a young adoptable dog, we want to make sure we can adopt her out with a clean bill of health!

Luna
Luna is a 7-year-old Pitbull Mix in Oak Creek, WI, who needs $1,393 for Tail Amputation / Mast Cell Tumor Removal Surgery & Biopsy.
Oak creek, WI
We rescued Luna from the WI Humane Society. We’d gone to see another dog, but it wasn’t a good fit. So we looked around & when we saw her… we couldn’t help but love her. There was this 2 year old, small brindle pitbull, shivering in the corner with her tail tucked between her legs. Her surrender papers showed she was a failed fighting dog that kids offloaded on someone who turned her in to WHS. When we got Luna home, her dog brothers Jack & Joker didn’t LOVE her right away but she was definitely the annoying little sister to them. We worried how having a pitbull would be when we had our youngest child, but anyone that knows Luna or Harlow, know that they are literally Best Friends. Harlow has even tried to ride luna like a pony. Luna is our sweet bundle of energy. Luna is a failed fighting dog w/ too much energy & a heart of gold. When you first meet her she will run laps around & jump all over you. But give her long enough & she will snuggle & lay on you like a lap dog. Luna also licks… everyone and everything! Luna also thinks she is a cat. Do you have a laser pointer? She will chase it forever. Or a bug too flying around? She will pounce! On Saturday Sept 10th, we took Luna to Saint Paul Vet Clinic & she was diagnosed w/ a Mast Cell Tumor on the base of her tail. Recommended treatment is to have the tumor removed, which also involves removing her tail. Then having a biopsy done to see if the tumor is benign or if other treatment is needed. There is some risk of paralysis from the surgery because of its location. A lot of you know we lost our old boy Joker about a year ago. We weren’t prepared for this to be a potentially life threatening issue for Luna. Being able to ensure we can get the care we need for Luna & making sure Harlow’s snuggle buddy gets healthy means everything to us.

Blessing
Blessing is a 10-year-old Lab Mix in Tifton, GA, who needs $1,000 for ICU Critical Care.
Tifton, GA
On 09/10/22 around 7 pm this baby showed up in my yard! He walked around the yard twice then got back on the main road. He walked with his head down and didn’t seem to acknowledge his surroundings. There was a car coming and he just stood there, I guided him a bit to let the car pass, but was afraid to pick him up with the pain and injury’s he had. It was at that time I knew I had to get this baby the help he needed! I put him in a kennel inside the house. Offered him water, he did drink some, offered him food, he would not eat. And got on the phone to start my journey on getting this little guy to someone that could get him better. I could not let him lay in pain, and not knowing if he would make it through the night. He is such a polite and well mannered boy. And although I know he is in a lot of pain, he is showing none.He is very weak at the moment. On our way to the vet (which is an hour drive) I put him in the back of my car. He got hot and wobbled his way to the front seat where the air is. With a bunch of doggy slobbers we made it safe. He did extremely good with the drive. When he showed up I could tell he had been badly abused. He has what looks like a bullet wound on top of his head. His right eye is injured, and could possibly he blind in that eye. The right side of his face is swollen really bad, his nose was bleeding. He is scuffed up on his legs. He is in critical shape at the moment. We would be very grateful for any amount donated towards this guy! Although I have a full time job, I also have 4 kids. This was a very unexpected expense that came up, I however could not let him walk away without knowing where/how he would end up!

Passion
Passion is a 1-year-old English Bulldog in McKinney, TX, who needs $1,317 for C-section Surgery.
McKinney, TX • Legacy Humane Society
Legacy Humane Society took in three potential pregnant mamas from a breeder in their community. Upon intake, it was discovered that only two out of the three where pregnant: Passion and Dot (another mama posted on our website). Both mamas are very young themselves so the rescue stepped into action to help. Passion, much like Dot, went into early labor requiring an emergency C-section surgery. Unfortunately, two pups were not formed enough yet to survive, and the other two went into foster care with around-the-clock medical attention. However, despite the foster’s best efforts, they did not make it. The rescue continues to take care of Mama Passion in her foster home until she herself finds her forever home. For now, they are doing all they can to help her heal from the inside out. She is said to be very sweet, playful, and loves to be outside. She also enjoys laying around with her foster family. Legacy Humane Society doesn't know how Passion and the other pregnant mama (Dot) got into their situation, being so young themselves, but they are so glad they were able to step in and help. Without them, who knows what would have happened to Mama Passion? Even though her puppies did not survive, they were still able to help Passion find safety and comfort. The mission of Legacy Humane Society is to provide assistance to domestic pets that have been abused, neglected, and abandoned. Mama Passion is alive and healing because of them. Please consider supporting Mama Passion and the rescue for her medical funds.

Dot
Dot is a 1-year-old English Bulldog in McKinney, TX, who needs $1,317 for C-section Surgery.
McKinney, TX • Legacy Humane Society
Legacy Humane Society took in three potential pregnant mamas from a breeder in their community. Upon intake, it was discovered that only two out of the three where pregnant: Dot and Passion (another mama posted on our website). She is also the mother to a pup named Charles that is featured on waggle as well for bladder stones. Dot was so pregnant when she arrived that she appeared she would just "burst". She had to have a C-section surgery to deliver almost immediately after going to her foster home. With so much stress on her small body, only five of the eight puppies delivered survived, but thankfully the five remaining are healthy and doing great! Since then, several of the puppies have been adopted or are pending adoption. The rescue continues to take care of Mama Dot in her foster home until she herself finds her forever home. For now, they are doing all they can to help her heal from the inside out. Per the foster, "Dot loves people and is super playful! She's the sweetest girl." Legacy Humane Society doesn't know how Dot and the other pregnant mama (Passion) got into their situation, being so young themselves, but they are so glad they were able to step in and help. Without them, who knows what would have happened to Mama Dot? Or the five little puppies that survived with her? The mission of Legacy Humane Society is to provide assistance to domestic pets that have been abused, neglected, and abandoned. Mama Dot and her babies are alive and healing because of them. Please consider supporting Mama Dot and the rescue for her medical funds.

Rebecca
Rebecca is a 2-year-old French Bulldog in McKinney, TX, who needs $1,220 for C-Section Surgery.
McKinney, TX • Legacy Humane Society
Rebecca came into the care of Legacy Humane Society as a new, soon-to-be Mama that was in very bad shape. She was riddled with scars all over her face and body. She also appeared to have had a prior eye injury on top of a broken leg that was never treated. Due to being untreated, the leg healed wrong. Legacy Humane Society immediately tried to make her feel as comfortable as possible. Within just a few days of being in the rescue's care, she gave birth. However, her birthing plan did not go as expected. She gave birth to seven puppies via C-section. Even with all she endured, she was a wonderful Mama to her puppies. Rebecca has since found her way into a loving foster home with all of her babies. All but one puppy have survived and are adopted or soon to be. She also had to receive an amputation of her left front leg due to the way her previous injury healed. Her foster family made sure she received all the best love and care to help her through her recovery, and continues to do so. Per her foster family, "She loves belly rubs and snuggles, and she enjoys binging movies with you. She is crate and house trained. She walks well on a leash, loves the car and adventures, and loves meeting everyone. She is friendly with other dogs, cats, all people, and older considerate kids." All of this has been made possible with the help from Legacy Humane Society. The mission of LHS is to provide assistance to domestic pets that have been abused, neglected, and abandoned. They help animals in need of permanent homes and veterinary assistance, just like Rebecca and her pups. Please consider helping them offset the costs of her surgery.

Gus
Gus is a nine-year-old Pit Bull in Simi Valley, CA, who needs $2,000 for urgent surgeries.
Simi Valley, CA • Southern California Pit Bull Rescue
When you look at his worried, kind eyes, you just want to hug Gus and tell him, "You're going to be OK now. You are safe and loved." Before Southern California Pit Bull Rescue saved Gus, he had reason to be concerned. He was a pit bull sitting in an animal shelter covered in tumors. The shelter deemed him unadoptable, and he was supposed to be euthanized. But when Mark R. from the rescue group heard about Gus, he got the dog a stay of execution, and then Mark got Gus out of there! "We rescued Gus in hopes of giving him a great life," Mark tells Waggle. "It's heartbreaking to see such a loving dog treated like this. Just thrown out like the trash. Unspeakable." Gus has trouble walking because of a tumor on his foot. He has another growth that is bleeding and infected. His ears were backyard butchered and were full of dirt. His teeth are horrible, his front teeth are missing, and he can't chew hard food. He's currently running a fever from an infection. With your help, Gus can get all the surgeries he needs to remove the masses and address his teeth at VCA Westlake Village Animal Hospital. "A life filled with love is what he deserves," Mark says. "He's such a gentle soul that loves to be with humans. Gus deserves better. He's suffered a lifetime of neglect."

Angelica
Angelica is a one-year-old Pit Bull in Ossining, NY, who needs $1,098 for Heartworm Treatment.
Ossining, NY • A Good Dog Rescue
Angelica has had quite a long and winding road, and A Good Dog Rescue hopes you can help her cross the finish line in her journey. Still just a pup herself, this sweet girl ended up in a high-kill shelter, pregnant, heartworm positive, and at risk of being euthanized by the facility. Her future was also bleak because she was a pit bull. "Her owner had never spayed her as she didn't think it was important," Lisa S., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "So a young, black, pregnant mom found herself surrounded by other dogs in similar circumstances in an overcrowded, small shelter." Luckily the rescue was able to save Angelica and sent her to a foster home. "When this tiny mama arrived, her tail tucked so tightly between her legs; she looked up at her foster mom with her eyes so big and full of hope. We caressed her face and told her how beautiful she is, over and over until that tail peeked out and started to wag," Lisa says. Angelica gave birth to five beautiful female puppies. "She is a wonderful momma to her puppies, cleaning and feeding them regularly while they grow," Lisa says. "They love playing with the cats and other resident dogs in the household. She is no longer the shy dog with her tail tucked but is the smiling happy mamma greeting everyone who enters her life." Now it's time to get Angelica fixed up! With your support, she will be spayed and receive treatment for her heartworms at Family Vet Care of Ossining. If she's not treated, she could die from the disgusting creatures. Once she gets the care she needs Angelica will finally be up for adoption and ready to find her own forever home! "Angelica is a lucky one, for not many moms make it out of the shelter system," Lisa adds. "With the numerous medical bills piling up and shelters begging for help saving dogs, we are in dire need of funds. Any amount is generous and helps our dogs and us tremendously."

Karla
Karla is a two-year-old Jack Russell in Dallas, TX, who needs $2,000 for an emergency C-section.
Dallas, TX • Pooch Savers Rescue
Karla lived her life outside, in a backyard where ticks and fleas devoured her tiny body. When her owner decided to sell the house, they gave Karla to Pooch Savers Rescue. It was the best thing to have happened to Karla, especially since she was about to need emergency surgery! Just as the rescue finished getting all the ticks and bugs off Karla -- she went into labor! Karla had complications, and the rescue rushed her to the Veterinary Emergency Group, where she needed an emergency C-section. "Karla had one pup naturally but required a C-section for the rest," Scott B., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "After a very tense 30 minutes, all four puppies began breathing. Dr. Connor, Dr. Lee, and the staff gave this story a happy ending. Without their heroic efforts, the puppies would not have survived." The new family is doing great, and Karla will only have happier times ahead. "Everyone who meets her immediately falls in love," Scott says. "Despite her previous poor living conditions, Karla is bright, happy, and wants to be in your line of sight at all times." The nonprofit group is now trying to raise the money to pay for this unexpected but life-saving surgery. "Pooch Savers Rescue depends on the generosity of the community, and vets, to help these defenseless creatures," Scott says. "Successfully funding these campaigns allows us to look for the next dog in need."

Jack
Jack is a two-year-old Terrier in Ewing, NJ, who needs $1,213 for urgent eye surgery.
Ewing, NJ • EASEL Animal Rescue
Jack is an almost two year old handsome mixed breed boy that was born in the care of EASEL Animal Rescue. His mom was a petite and friendly gal who, (surprise!) was pregnant so she was placed in foster to deliver her puppies. Jack was the tiniest of the litter, and before his eyes were even open he developed an infection that caused scarring on his eye. At the time of Jack's adoption his eye did not need to be removed, but it was clear that would happen in the future. As time went on Jack enjoyed countless adventures with his human, Dana, and older fur brothers Rocco and Albie. Despite having this issue he was able to grow up big and strong and did not let his disability hinder him. But as predicted his eye became worse and needed surgery. Jack is a road warrior and loves to ride in the car and go to the beach. He's very talented at opening gifts. But his eye needed to be dealt with so he could keep on having fun. After numerous conversations with the family vet Jack was scheduled at one of EASEL's partner vet hospitals to have eye removal surgery performed in late June and everything had gone relatively well. Unfortunately after a few days, Jack developed an infection which needed to be addressed. He had developed a fever earlier that morning it was urgent that services were sought out for resolution. He was sent to Crown Veterinary Specialists by his owner, Dana, where he received medications and his incision was reopened and flushed. Jack is back on the road to recovery, fortunately. Most adopters have the ability to pay for routine care, and cover some emergency costs. Things are getting tighter and tighter, so it's tough to get every bill paid. Your donation towards Jack's vet care is greatly appreciated!

Clover
Clover is a 2-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix in Ossining, NY, who needs $835 for Heartworm Treatment.
Ossining, NY • A Good Dog Rescue
Clover is one of the luckiest dogs alive. Two weeks ago, 4 dogs were pulled from a high kill shelter euthanasia list and placed on transport. A shelter worker accidentally placed Clover on transport to NY. The shelter offered to bring him back, but we could never do that to him. He was saved and given a second chance at life for a reason, so we committed to helping find a home. Clover really is a perfect dog and it is heartbreaking to think that he wouldn't be alive if he had stayed at the shelter. As soon as Clover arrived at doggy daycare, he fit right in. He is so grateful to finally be out of a kennel, free to explore, play with other dogs, and love up on humans to his heart's content! Clover has a pure, angelic spirit, so soft and gentle. His smile never fades and he looks up to you with such hope and love, it is remarkable. He is amazing with everyone he meets, is perfect on leash, and is crate trained. He has low energy, wants nothing more than love, and is happiest cuddling up with blankies, receiving pets, and hearing the soothing sound of your voice. Clover came up to us with no medical record or previous vetting, so we immediately brought him to Family Veterinary Care in Ossining for a wellness exam, vaccinations, neuter scheduling, and testing. He was sadly diagnosed with heartworms and will need to be placed on a strict treatment regiment and cage rest. The bill for the treatment is between $1100 and $1700. Clover is a miracle and, with all that he's been through, deserves a life free of pain. With the numerous medical bills piling up and shelters begging for help saving dogs, we are in dire need of funds. Any amount is generous and helps us and our dogs tremendously.

Mobi
Mobi is a 4-year-old Pittbull Terrier in Belton , SC, who needs $300 for His 4 year Check Up, Shots, and Meds.
Belton, SC
I honestly didn't want or plan to own a Pitt due to all of the things I've heard about them. This pup was rescued from a place and owners that didn't care as much as they should have. I picked him up and said his name is MobiDick and I will take care of him for the rest of his life! Well he's 106 lbs of wonderful! The best and smartest dog I've ever had. He's family and so loved ♥️ He rules the house really:) he's slept in the bed since day one. Ridden with us anywhere we can take him with us. All around such a joy! I feel protected and at the same time I call him Son-Son a lot! I have 3 daughters! He lets me know anytime someone arrives long before a knock at the door. He has a sweet nature but at the same time I know that if someone were to try and hurt me he would step in We have had a lot lot of loss in life. Some due to no doing of our own and others due to yes, making the wrong decisions. I lost my best friend in August 2020 and then my Dad that same October. I was with them both as they passed. What I came home to was Mobi. He was my comfort. Always happy to see me and he gave me the drive I needed to get through hard times for him. He made me want to live! I've taken good care of Mobi up until this coming up check up. He's had regular vet visits and has always been given what he needs and what he wants at Petco when we go shopping for a bone or toy together. He walks through not bothering anyone or their pet and "picks out" his one thing he really wants! Up and down the isle looking and sniffing and he stops when he knows which one:) Again he's been well taken care of up until I have no idea how to pay for his upcoming check up and the medicine and shots he will need. He's been scratching some and I've done oatmeal baths and was giving him the combo flea and heart worm chew. I can't afford those now.

Maggie
Maggie is a five-month-old Shi Tzu in Columbus, OH, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.
Columbus, OH • Stop the Suffering
Maggie was one of a dozen puppies Stop the Suffering rescue saved from an Ohio puppy mill. "Puppy mills are rampant in our state," Lynne A., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "They are dog breeding facilities that produce puppies for profit, with no real interest in the needs of the babies or their moms." Maggie was terribly dehydrated and needed to be hospitalized. She then became extraordinarily lethargic and declined rapidly. She could no longer respond or open her eyes. The team at Med Vet Columbus suspects she has a brain lesion. Then a miracle happened, and Maggie stabilized. She's being closely monitored and is finally back with her foster mom, who loves her very much. All Maggie's tests, scans, and time in the hospital rang up a hefty tab for the rescue. "This was a huge expense for a nonprofit rescue group," Lynne says. "We knew Maggie was a fighter and deserved the chance to live her best life. She is a happy and spunky little girl. Maggie's foster mom is entirely devoted to her." Please give and help the rescue fight for Maggie and other puppy mill pups!

Penny
Penny is a five-year-old Hound in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,080 for critical care.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
When you look into Penny's soulful eyes, it's hard to imagine that her past was filled with horror. "Her front elbow and leg were badly broken but never tended to," Duane J., with NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue, tells Waggle. "Thankfully, Penny managed to escape her tormenters by limping across a field toward safety. After being found by a good Samaritan, she was surrendered to a shelter and transferred to our sanctuary." The rescue rushed Penny to Madison Veterinary Hospital, where she needs urgent care for stage two kidney failure, a skin infection, heartworm, and Ehrlichia, a tickborne illness. Penny suffers each day with a painful permanent limp and degenerative arthritis. Once the nonprofit group addresses Penny's pressing medical needs, they will focus on helping her leg. The rescue is very optimistic about Penny. "Despite the abuse she suffered, Penny is sweet and kind and forgiving," Duane adds. "She gets along well with all the other hounds at the sanctuary and has a hearty appetite. She has become quite attached to her caretakers. Penny's soulful eyes, however, still hint at her former abuse, and there are times when she seems very sad." And Penny is a role model for all who have endured abuse. Somehow, she escaped with multiple painful health issues and survived. She seems to know that she's in a good place now. "Penny will need lifetime care, and we need help with her veterinary bills," Duane says. "As a registered nonprofit, we rely on donations to pay for our dogs' care. Please give Penny the future she deserves!"

Baby Girl
Baby Girl is a 7-year-old Terrier Blend in framingham, MA, who needs $2,000 for Severe Mange Treatment/Skin Infection.
framingham, MA • as sweet as a peach animal rescue
Baby Girl found her way into the Fort Worth County Animal Shelter in Texas as an owner surrender, along with her sister, Queenie. Both sisters were set to be euthanized to no fault of their own as it only pertained to lack of space. As Sweet as a Peach stepped in and saved these two sisters with only minutes left to spare. Their lives were saved and they have been given a second chance. Currently, Baby Girl and her sister, Queenie, are waiting to travel up North so they can be adopted into new and loving homes. These girls are so loving and always love to be around one another. The only things stopping them at this time is Baby Girl's health. Her skin needs to improve before she is well enough to travel. It's hard to imagine that these gals found themselves facing euthanasia. They are the sweetest pair. Even with Baby Girl's skin condition, she doesn't let that hold her back from giving the cutest smile and tail wags. Once her hair fully grows back, she's going to be even more gorgeous than she already is. While her sister, Queenie, appears the healthiest of the two, Baby Girl has been severely neglected and her coat and skin reflect that. She has a skin infection that has caused major hair loss and discharge that needs to be addressed quickly. She's currently staying at Callaghan Road Animal Hospital for further care. As Sweet As a Peach is a 501c3 registered rescue that helps save dogs facing euthanasia in Texas. They save dogs like Baby Girl every single day and give them a new beginning to what could have been their end. Please consider helping so they can continue saving lives.

Zeus
Zeus is a seven-year-old Chocolate Labrador in Houston, TX, who needs $2,000 for testing and treatment of auto immune disorder.
Lewisville, IN • Lucky Lab Rescue & Adoption
Poor Zeus! Lucky Lab saved this beautiful chocolate Labrador from a shelter where he was at risk of being killed for space reasons. Soon after Zeus arrived at his foster home, his foster mom could tell something was not quite right. His eyes, mouth, and lips were scarlet red and irritated. His ears had raging infections. The rescue brought him to their veterinarian, who referred Zeus to a dermatologist and eye doctor at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. After many (expensive! Gulp!) tests, it turns out that Zeus has an autoimmune disorder that is allowing a bacteria called Pseudomonas to attack and overrun his body. Now Zeus' team of specialists and the rescue are trying to determine the cause of the autoimmune affliction, fight the bacteria and treat his symptoms. "Zeus is seven years old, and he should be living in his forever home with a new family, but until he's feeling better, he needs to stay in foster care," Lucky Lab tells Waggle. "You can see what a great gem of a dog is behind those sad eyes. Our rescue doesn't shy away from helping dogs with medical needs." His medical bills are now running upward of $4000. It's a tab the nonprofit rescue is struggling to pay. "When we take in a dog, we treat them like one of our own. Please help us raise the money to get Zeus the tests and care he needs to fix him up. We want Zeus to have an amazing life ahead of him. We want his luck to change! After all, he is with Lucky Lab Rescue!"

Abby
Abby is a two-year-old Lab mix in Dallas, TX, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.
Dallas, TX • Pooch Savers Rescue
Abby was scared, sick, and found wandering the streets. When Pooch Savers Rescue heard about this sad girl, they immediately saved her. Soon after, the nonprofit group brought her to Vetsavers Pet Hospital and learned she might be in kidney failure. "She could not keep food down," Scott B., from the rescue, tells Waggle. "The early test results the veterinarian ran indicate kidney failure, but we must find out the cause. She's on fluids and needs additional testing." Pooch Savers is heartbroken because Abby is a gem! "Abby is just as sweet as she can be; she is always at our feet looking for approval," Scott says. "She will nose you until she gets a head pat. Unfortunately, with the cone on her head to protect her IV port, she is constantly smacking into us. It just makes her much more endearing and us more anxious to get her healthy." Pooch Savers' goal is to secure, treat and rehome as many dogs as possible, but they can only do that with your help! "We depend on the kindness and generosity of others to assist us in this mission," Scott says. Please help Abby get her diagnosis and get on with her life!

HULA
HULA is a 16-month-old Husky/Lab in Pagosa Springs, CO, who needs $440 for Surgery
Pagosa Springs, CO
I live in a remote area and on separate occasions I would have 2 dogs visit me one a beautiful female Husky mix and a handsome male English Lab these two dogs ultimately had a 9 pups I picked out the one who favored the mother and after 8 weeks this beautiful Husky/Lab mix I named HULA came to live with me and my 2 eight year old dogs Zoe and Lexi and our 18 year old cat Angel. HULA was just 8 weeks old when I got her so when she came home she watched her elder brother and sister very closely and very soon started knowing how to fetch a ball and chase squirrels and watch Birds, foxes and deer. She also loves to play in her small swimming pool after running after a ball on a hot day and she'll never come back empty-handed she always has a stick or something in her mouth HULA Love's to give HULA hugs she goes between your legs and waits for butt scratches. She also gets on the couch with you and puts her butt way up in the air with her head buried in the cushions and awaits for butt scratches. HULA loves to run around real fast in circles until she gets so dizzy her head just spins. My full of life 16 month old Husky/Lab mix named HULA unexpectedly jumped out of the truck window chasing my neighbors dogs. The traumatic incident left her with a broken toe that had to be amputated. Although she will be forever scarred and disfigured I am relieved that it was only a amputated toe and not a worse injury that could have left me without her in my life. I am a disabled veteran on SSI and on a fixed income I paid all the money that I had and was very fortunate that the veterinary hospital was able to do the surgery with what I could pay. I owe $440 to Elk Park Animal Hospital that I financially cannot afford.

Iris
Iris is a one-month-old Retriever mix in West Creek, NJ, who needs $698 for emergency care.
west creek, NJ • agape love for mutts
Agape Love for Mutts Rescue was breathing a sigh of relief. In the nick of time, they rescued an adorable pregnant mama dog from the streets of San Antonio, Texas. "She luckily got the chance to have her babies in the care of a safe and loving foster home," says Courtney C. with the rescue. Just as they thought everything was going well, one of the puppies, Iris, started gasping for breath! "At the fragile age of one week old, little Iris suddenly had a massive decline in her health," Courtney tells Waggle. "She began foaming at the mouth and struggling to breathe, which terrified her foster mom. She was rushed to the emergency hospital at BluePearl Veterinary Partners, where she received lifesaving treatment for aspiration pneumonia." As Iris recovers, the rescue is now struggling to pay her unplanned medical bill. "We need help fundraising for her lifesaving treatment," Courtney says. "Her short life has brought so much joy to those around her, and her lucky spirit is infectious. We cherish the thought of her overcoming the odds stacked against her to recover from this illness and eventually find a loving family of her own."

Benjamin
Benjamin is a nine-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $408 for eye surgery.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Benjamin joined The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue when he was just three years old, and he became one of their ambassador dogs. "We knew that there was something special about Benjamin," Duane J. from the nonprofit group tells Waggle. "He enjoyed working at meet and greets and as a therapy dog. No matter where he went, he had a kind and sensitive way that helped humans relax. He was always ready to show others just how amazing Greyhounds could be." But then Benjamin developed many health issues, including a severe heart murmur, high blood pressure, and kidney disease. He stopped working events and was more comfortable staying in the house and keeping his caretakers' company. About a year after his initial illness, Benjamin developed s a bulging disc in his neck that causes pain from time to time. Medications and diet have kept these conditions in check. Now Benjamin is fighting a new medical battle, and he needs your kindness. "Benjamin is a huge boy who doesn't always realize his size. He is also easily frightened by noises and movements. Recently, he injured his right eye after he became scared of something outside while he was on a potty break. Eye stain tests show that Benjamin has a very large scratch on his cornea," Duane says. Benjamin received vet care for his eye injury for several weeks from Dr. Zulandt at Madison Veterinary Hospital. After a good start at healing with ointments and eye drops applied several times a day, the scar tissue on Benjamin's eye stalled the process and needs to be removed. Now the rescue group needs help raising money to pay for his care. "NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue provides lifetime care for animals with medical needs," Duane says. "We rely solely on donations to pay for their vet bills. Benjamin has helped so many humans before he became ill. Please help him heal. Thank You!"

Rufio
Rufio is a 5-year-old Yorkie/Chihuahua (Chorkie) in Vacaville, CA, who needs $2,000 for MRI and Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) Surgery.
vacaville, CA
We adopted Rufio on July 7th, 2019 from the Vacaville SPCA. On adoption day, we took the whole family and all 4 kids agreed that Rufio was the dog for us. Rufio instantly became best friends with our other dog Blu. We named him Rufio, due to his mom having a crush on the character Rufio in the movie "Hook"! He is truly part of our lovely blended family. Every night Rufio takes turns sleeping in each of the kids rooms. More often than not, we find him curled up with us ready to protect us from any little noise! He loves to go for rides and helps mom take the kids to school and pick up each day. He is also a great travel buddy and goes with us on family vacations! His favorite thing to do is throw his toy in the air and try to catch it himself! Rufio is so special because he is a constant in our children's lives. With a blended family, back and forth travel between 2 households is mentally tough on kids. They know when they get home, Rufio is there waiting to share his cuddles every time. The comradery and strength he provides is something we have been so lucky to have. Our children have benefitted so much from his selfless love. Rufio went from a healthy dog to partially paralyzed due to a spinal disk problem in less than a week. There were no warning signs, just a genetic disposition to spinal problems that we were unaware of. Vetrinarian's are Vaca Valley Animal and VCA of Sacramento. If treated early with surgery and rest, there is a 90% chance of full recovery. He is currently on "bed rest" and pain meds. This unforeseen cost is particularly high due to the cost of MRI at $5k with surgery to follow. Rufio is the heart and soul of our lives but especially the children's. To have him healthy and live his expected life to the ripe ol' age of 13-15 would mean the world to us!

Ezra
Ezra is a 2-year-old Chinese SharPei in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $994 for Biopsy and Mass Removal.
Phoenix, AZ • Last Chance Dog Rescue and Rehabilitation
Ezra is a 5 years old SharPei from the county shelter euthanasia list. She weighs 39 lbs. She is just a shy girl trying to navigate her way in this big world. Staff found her curled up on her bed not wanting to come out of her kennel. She mostly hides curled up on her bed from the noisy kennel life. Our rescue is looking to save her and get her medical treatment so she can go to a home! Ezra always wants to be in the same room with us. Most the time she sleeps on the couch, but sometimes in the middle middle of the night, she comes upstairs and crawls in bed with us. Ezra likes to go for walks, but until her leg gets better we don’t walk too far. She likes going for car rides to pick mom up from work. She is trying to play with the other dogs and she REALLY loves her hotdogs! Ezra likes to think she is a 55 pound lap dog. She also likes to just flop and lay whenever the notion hits her, and you had better not have wanted to walk there, because she just gives you the look of I’m not moving! She does like laying outside in the sun. It’s funny, when one dogs starts barking, the rest join in, but looking at each other because nobody really knows what they're barking about! She has a lump on her leg and we’re still not sure if it’s cancerous. She limps on the leg with the lump, so she gets pain pills that help. We are hoping the treatment alleviates the pain she can go for longer walks, play more, and live a full, pain free life. In a short time, she has shown herself to be a sweet, loving dog that just wants love and attention. She deserves a chance for long life! We were able to save Ezra hours before she was scheduled to be euthanized. She was a fear dog, afraid of literally everything. She was 20 pounds underweight, literally starving from being on the street. The rescue needs funds for treatment so she can finally be adopted!

VIPER
VIPER is a 9-month-old BOSBULL (BOSTON BULLDOG) in TYLER, TX, who needs $1,200 for Foreign Body Retrieval-General Anesthesia, Endoscope grade 1-3.
TYLER, TX
In October of last year, we decided that it was time for us to get a family pet. Kids were old enough and I was working from home and alone most of the day. We went into a pet and saw several that we liked but when Viper was brought to us it just felt that he was the missing part of our family. We is super friendly and amazing with kids, so we brought him home. Viper is kennel trained, he stays in his kennel in our living room for two hours and is out playing for 2-3 hours and back in the kennel. In November of last year a family member got really sick and has been in and out of hospital. I has been very hard but Viper made things better. He helped our family take our mind off the hard situation. Viper has show our family unconditional love. Viper is pretty mellow. He is not a barker. He will only bark if "strangers" come near us and he's standing next to us, but once he sees we talk to them and we hug or shake hands with them they become like family to him as well and shows them the same love he shows us. He loves his broccoli, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, peanut butter and bananas among other things. Viper completes our family. Viper has been healthy the entire 6 months that he has been part of our lives. he will be 10 months on the 25th and unfortunately ate a hard plastic bone on Thursday the 14th. he is currently at Vet Med Dallas waiting for an Endoscopy to remove pieces that are stuck in his esophagus and stomach. He was seen here in Tyler by his Vet as well as the Animal ER but needs surgery urgently. His treatment has not been cheap and this was very unexpected. We've paid over 7k out of pocket so far but still has more medical expenses. He may need additional time in the hospital to recover and that is very expensive. Our savings have been spend on him already.

Snacks
Snacks is a 1.9-year-old Mixed Breed Dog in Chester, MA, who needs $2,000 for Emergency surgery for intestinal blockage.
Chester, MA
Snacks was chosen as a puppy to join our brother Justin's family. Before the time came for them to welcome their new puppy home,Justin was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident. We made the decision to become a dog house and brought him home when the time came. He instantly adopted my daughter as his human, she named him Snack-Pack in memory of her uncle that always shared her pudding cups with her Snacks can always be found glued to his teenage human, Chloes side. Her walls are decorated with Polaroid pictures of snacks in the many costumes he allows her to dress him in. His favorite part of each day is the car ride to pick his sister up from school. Every night snacks sleeps cuddled up with his newly welcomed dog brother, Baxter. Snacks is very high energy and so lovable. He will spend the day cuddling on the couch with you when you are sick, not moving until he knows you feel better. When it is play time he will run laps for hours pouncing at and playing with everyone he can. He wants nothing more than to play with every animal he meets, even if they do not. A few days ago snacks stopped eating and began getting sick. After 24 hours we became very concerned and brought him to his primary vet and they found the blockage after an xray. Snacks is currently at Pieper-Olson veterinary Hospital to receive an emergency surgery to remove a blockage in his small intestine. With this unexpected medical emergency comes a very high unexpected medical bill. his surgery is estimated to cost us between 3-5 grand. We have pulled together all money we have to pay deposits to ensure he receives the surgery but will still have a large balance owed

Benji
Benji is a 2-year-old Beagle/Pincher Mix in Carson, CA, who needs $1,850 for Hemilaminectomy - Thoracolumbar.
Carson, CA
We rescued Benji from a family friend who was moving away from the area. He is only 2 yrs old, but has been characterized by his long legs, his sweet face, and his playful personality. He LOVES to run, jump, and play fetch, so this shifted disk induced hind leg paralysis was earth shaking for our little Benji. We humbly ask that you contribute to his care by donating money towards his 10k surgery. Benji is so sweet. He plays so well with his big brother Chestnut (our other rescue) and loves to play fetch with the whole family. He keeps us active by pleading for play with big eyes and a persistent tail wag. He is a good boy! Everyone who knows Benji loves him like their own. He sleeps right next to Chestnut and always wants to be around us. Benji is special because he has added to our family at JUST the right time. We have been looking for a new family member and when we had the opportunity to add him to the mix, we were elated. It’s devastating that he woke up today (3/3/22) with no control of his lower half:( He is still being so strong even though he’s very confused about what is happening in his little body. This surgery is not “affordable” but it is necessary. We love Benji and we intend to take care of him the best way we can, but it takes a village! This is Benji’s first (& prayerfully last) medical surgery. He is only 2 years old, so you can imagine how scary this might be for him. The veterinarian center has ran tests for that revealed a slipped disk pinching his spinal chord. This was an unprecedented and devastating discovery. We were not prepared for this financially or emotionally, which is why we hope to find support here on this platform. It would mean SO much to us if you could support us in trying to give Benji the best quality of life!

Jace
Jace is a 12-year-old Toy Poodle in Hudson, NH, who needs $2,000 for surgery to remove 15 bladder stones.
Hudson, NH
Life has been challenging for Lee C., and Jace is a constant ray of sunshine who cheers her up. "Jace is the most important thing to me in my life," Lee tells Waggle. "I often find myself talking to him and half expecting him to answer. He sleeps in bed with me every night, hugged up tight against my back." A few years ago, Lee started having health issues. She needed neck surgery and, more recently multiple back surgeries. "I have been on Disability since these issues started to arise, and over these past five years, to my surprise, Jace and I became even closer. After every surgery, he was right by my side, giving me kisses and making sure I was okay." But recently, Jace started struggling. Lee brought him to Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Center animal hospital. "Jace was diagnosed with 15 stones in his bladder ranging in size from small to surprisingly large that had to be surgically removed. He also had a growth on his spine, so that had to be removed too," Lee says. Lee is now struggling to pay for all of Jace's medical care. She launched this Waggle campaign, hoping you will help them. "Being on Disability has been very tough on me," she says. "Especially financially; I barely am able to live check to check. Jace never gave up on me, and I'll never give up on him in return. A pets' unconditional love cannot be matched."

Nacho
Nacho is a 10-year-old Chihuahua in East Greenwich, RI, who needs $500 for Dentistry Difficult Canine.
East Greenwich, RI
Nacho is a 10 year old Chihuahua. He came into my life in 2013. I was homeless in 2016, but we live in secure housing now supported by the HUD/VA sustainable housing program for homeless Vets through the Providence VA. We couldn't make it without the PVD VA, but they do not have a fund for pets of Veterans. I plan to remedy that as outlined below. After I became housed in transitional housing for homeless female Veterans in 2017, I had a roommate. My roommate warmed up to Nacho. She used to fix pet healthy hors d'oeuvres for him every afternoon, and we all would watch the 5 o'clock news together! But there are no funds for Veterans with pets. I plan to remedy this by starting one after we get Nacho back on the road to wellness. Back in 2013, I was supposed to foster Nacho when I rescued him from a displaced caregiver. Nacho has been at risk of homelessness twice. Then he came to live with us out in the country in Rhode Island. One winter eve, he came into the house after a snowy trip outside with his little jacket on - he shook the snow off and smiled at me, and I knew we would be together forever!! I used to get his teeth cleaned regularly before I became homeless. But now, we need extensive dental care as of 2-22-22. We are planning to get our treatment from CAWS veterinarian in West Warwick as soon as I can come up with 50%. Then we want to take up funds for Veterans who can't afford to prioritize preventative care. For Veterans who lives on a fixed income, preventative care is often not a priority. We live hand-to-mouth every month. I want to take up donations for pets of Vets in need. I am in contact with professionals who can advise and help. Any donations will help!!!

Bella Mimi
Bella Mimi is a 13-year-old Jack Rat terrier in Winnetka, CA, who needs $788 for Dental Extractions Major and Minor.
West Covina, CA
Thirteen years ago, as I happened upon a box of puppies for sale, one of the pups tried to reach up to me by stepping on top of her brothers and sisters. Bella Mimi picked me that day, and we've been like peas and carrots, ever since. Everywhere I went, Bella went with me. I even snuck her into work for the first few months, after we found each other. When it was discovered that I had been sneaking a small dog into work, I was surprised when my manager gave the OK for Bella to come out of hiding, and join the rest of the staff, playing ball, giving hugs and relieving tension in usually, stressful situations. Anywhere she goes, Bella is instantly, part of the family, Bella thinks she's a big dog. She has the classic, "short dog syndrome" mentality and has been known to jump on tables, to get in the face of a bigger, less intelligent dog, to bark a few orders and establish seniority, like an alpha. She's smarter than some people and barks at the tv when watching sports with the family. Bella is older now and suffering from periodontal disease. She needs to have some of her teeth surgically removed to avoid further infection, relieve her ongoing pain and improve her quality of life. I've exhausted my savings due to unforseen circumstances and have had to postpone Bella's surgery for the last 3 weeks. Bella Mimi has been my very best friend, in the good times and the hard times, like now. Our home was destroyed more than 3 years ago, resulting in us living in my car at one point. After losing almost everything, we've been struggling to get back to a some sort of normalcy.

Alaska
Alaska is a 1-year-old Pit Bull in Gatesville, TX, who needs $700 for Emergency Csection.
Gatesville, TX
Alaska has been with us since she was 5 weeks old. She has became a part of the family she goes everywhere with me and loves to be in the car or outside having fresh air. She is good with other animals. Her and our house cat (Kurtis) loves to keep each other on edge. She loved her running outside with the kids. Alaska has always spoiled she sleeps in the bed. We got her her own bed when she was 8 weeks and she only last 3 hours on her bed before she was up in our bed and she’s wrapped up in the blanket with me. She likes to sleep touching someone and to be under blankets. She does not like cold or sleeping outside. She is a gorgeous blue pit bull white with black tick marks. When she hears a weird sound/noise she tilts her at it with a puzzled look. If the noise continues she will continue to tilt her head to different sides till it stops or she figures out what noise it was. She won’t go far from me she has became a protector. Alaska went into labor Saturday at 1 am. We had thought we would have puppies that morning but there were complications and by Monday she still hadn’t had any puppy’s. We called the vets she ended up needing an emergency csection due to a puppy being breach. She had 7 puppies but the vet was only able to save 3. She has already came around but without her csection we would’ve lost all the puppies and momma. We are very thankful for the vet for saving the ones they could. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

Biscuit
Biscuit is a 4-year-old Golden Retriever in East Hartford, CT, who needs $2,000 for Cranial Cruciate Ligament.
East Hartford, CT
My name is Biscuit, I was rescued from the Human Society when I was 10 weeks old by my forever family of 4. When I was about 2 my human brother asked my mom if she could watch his friends dog Panda for 3 weeks. Two years later we welcomed Panda into our home as my brother. I love all people and animals. When I see a human I think they are here to pet my tummy and the dogs are to play with me. Some of my favorite things to do are taking a walk in the woods, smelling the flowers, meeting the people and their dogs on the way. I enjoy doing tricks with my mom, like sit, high five, left and right turn. My favorite spot in my yard is the kids swing set. I climb the ladder and sit on the platform where I can see who’s outside in the other yards. I don't bark at anyone or the other dogs. Panda and I run around the backyard playing chase, and tug a war. We enjoy cuddling together. We sleep with the humans when we want or by ourselves on our big dog bed; at night we make the rounds and visit everyone. In the morning, we wake up each member of the family with hugs and kisses. When one of my humans is sad I stay with them, and put my head on lap. Mom says I have angle wings on my back For the past 2 months I have tried medicines, which some made me sick. I am only allowed to go out to pee on a leash then back in to rest. The x-rays showed that I have a cranial cruciate ligament injury (in humans its equivalent to an ACL). I need this fixed so I can walk on all fours again. VCA Veterinary Specialists (Dr. Giangarra) will do the surgery for $5,910.40-$7,388.00. Then its PT. My dad gave up having his own surgery. We don't have a working oven. Mom and Panda both suffer from anxiety. Mom is worrying so much she has had panic attacks and sever migraines where she can't function. Helping me would be helping my whole family. Thank you for your help.

Fancy is very playful which sometimes she sneaks a toy or 2 that does not belong to her. Fancy loves music she tries to dance. Fancy is going through a rough labor. She had 2 puppies but has stopped labor and cannot contract on her own and now a c-section is required but I do not have the funds to cover it. Now we risk the puppies not surviving and Fancy going through distress for kissing her puppies. The longer we wait the harder it will be. Have children to take care of this expense has become a financial hardship but this issue has also been a distress on myself and children. My family is very sadden to see Fancy go through this.

Ollie
Ollie is a 1-year-old Shit Zu Mix in Roxburry, MA, who needs $2,000 for surgery pin implant.
roxburry, MA
I have 5 children and every birthday every Christmas my kids would ask for a dog. My friend at work often heard me say i would love a dog for my kids but i cannot afford it. So she surprised me with the news that her dogs were having puppies and she would give my kids one of them. And we were so lucky because Ollie was the only puppy born. We are so blessed to have him. Ollie is a great addition to the family my kids are absolutely crazy and Ollie is a puppy and is full of energy and full of life so he blends very well. The kids love having a dog. They are constantly showing him off to their friends. He loves family and with Covid we don't see family very often but when he sees my mom my cousins my grandparents he goes crazy full of excitement. Ollie is special because he has so much love to give he's so innocent just like children. He is a companion, a friend. I feel so bad that he has to go through surgery and is in pain. He just loves his family so much. But honestly cannot live without him the kids would be devastated if something happened to him Ollie was playing with my four-year-old son and I believe my son might've accidentally dropped him and suffered a tibial fracture and the only option is surgery. I was cooking dinner and took an eye out for them for a second and heard him yell out in pain and I know that something happened. I have never seen him in pain or cry out in pain I've been out of work for over six weeks due to a pulmonary embolism and I'm slated to go back in January I have an assignment so this surgery right before Christmas is a lot of financial burden. Yes otherwise healthy dog and my other option was to amputate his legs
