Lagu is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Sri Lanka who needs $2,000 for Remaining Leg Amputation and Antibiotic Treatment.

Lagu's story is horrendous, horrifying, and heartbreaking. The suffering he's endured is unimaginable. Someone found him on the side of the road in desperate need of help as part of his leg was gone. "While his past is unknown, his missing leg appears to have a clean cut, indicating it was inflicted by a person," Iresha A., with Baw Baw Animal Welfare, tells Waggle. The nonprofit group saved Lagu. Now they need help raising money for the surgery he needs to amputate the rest of his limb so it's not dangling from his body. Despite everything Lagu has been through, he's still in good spirits and will soon be ready to have his own loving family. Please give to help Lagu heal physically and emotionally. Update as of 8/1/24: Lagu is doing really well! He had the remainder of his leg amputated and it healed up nicely. He is much more comfortable now and adjusting well to life with 3 legs. He is enjoying being cared for and safe but after what happened to him, Lagu has a long way to go before he can trust again. He is now waiting for his forever home.
Dante
Dante is a one-year old German Shepherd mix in Houston, TX, who needs $2,000 for emergency care due to chemical burns.

* ThisIsHouston * Dante was found wandering the streets starving, with second-degree chemical burns covering half of his body, a heartbreaking and infuriating sight! Rescue intervened and rushed him to an animal hospital. "The wounds look a few days old, meaning Dante was wandering around in extraordinary pain," Laura F., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "His beautiful Shepherd coat was shaved down, and more wounds were found." Despite his suffering, Dante's spirit is not broken. "He is emaciated and is on a refeeding schedule," Laura says. "Everyone working with him mentions how sweet and well-behaved he is. It baffles us that such a good boy could be purposely injured by someone." Dante deserves a brighter future. Giving to his campaign can help Dante get a second chance; he is racking up quite a tab at the animal hospital! * Update * Dante is doing amazing! He has come a long way from when he was found as a stray with severe chemical burn wounds. We never figured out what happened to him or why, but it’s no secret that life for an unwanted stray is not easy and lots of people are cruel. When he was found, his wounds were old, so he’d been dealing with unmanaged wounds and pain. He came into our care on May 6th and his wounds are slowly but surely healing. He’s no longer getting fish-skin/tilapia treatments and has started on hydrotherapy treatment. His recovery is taking longer than expected, but his wounds are looking much better. He’s in pretty good spirits and enjoying being a spoiled dog who is loved, played with, and cared for.
Chance

* Paws 4 Life Animal Rescue * Chance is one of ten cats Paws 4 Life Animal Rescue saved from a terrible hoarding situation where the animals suffered in deplorable conditions. All the cats were sick, but the nonprofit group noticed Chance was in the worst shape. "Chance started having a difficult time breathing, and we rushed him to the emergency veterinarian where he was admitted and placed in oxygen," Melissa S., with the group, tells Waggle. X-rays showed he had pneumediatinum, where air was found outside his lungs. This is usually from some type of tear. Then Chance stopped eating, so his veterinarian placed a feeding tube in his body. Despite his past, Chance has shown remarkable resilience. He's one of the most affectionate cats you'll ever meet, craving love and attention from people. Chance's emergency bill has already exceeded $7,000, a significant amount for the rescue. Your support is crucial to ensure they can continue their lifesaving work for animals in need. Please give so Chance has his second chance!
Max
Max is a 10 year old German Shepherd Dog in Fremont , CA, who needs $2,000 for Dental Disease Grade 4/4 with Multiple Extractions.

Imagine a sweet senior dog, once a loyal companion, surrendered to a shelter at 9 years old in an emaciated condition. Max was saved by foster care after reaching his euthanasia deadline. Max is doing well but has been overlooked by adopters and rescues and is still longing for a fur-ever home. He is now in need of extensive dental care, which is yet one more hurdle he will face for adoption. Max's foster family paid to have him seen by Vets in Vans out of concern for his teeth; He has broken canines, dead, and discolored teeth and has been rubbing his mouth. He was diagnosed with Periodontal and Dental Disease grade 4/4, requiring extractions. If left untreated, the disease can lead to more serious health complications. We paid for his blood work and he is cleared for surgery. Max is a senior sweetheart. His soulful eyes tell a story of resilience and hope. Now10 years old, he cherishes every walk and enjoys affection. He loves to pounce on plush squeaky toys and is so cute as he snaps at flying bugs and zooms around the yard. He has also been dreaming of his fur-ever home. Max is a shelter dog in foster care and the shelter does not have the funds to provide for his dental care. He already faces challenges to being adopted simply be being a large senior dog. Your generosity will improve his health and increase his chances of being adopted.
Itachi

About two years ago, my son brought home an exuberant black kitty home to me. My son named him Itachi after one of the characters in his favorite anime. Itachi has been an absolute joy since he's been a part of our family. He is so sweet and he acts like he's my protector so he is almost always within 5 feet of me, unless he is on a mouse excursion in the basement. When Itachi was 11 months old, he started having seizures and was diagnosed with epilepsy. True epilepsy is super rare in cats, so we to drive him an hour away to a neurologist. His care is expensive and we have to pay for everything out-of-pocket because he is uninsurable. We will need an MRI and bloodwork soon, but right now we just need to see the specialist for meds and new treatment plan. Itachi loves playing with his cat sister, Chloe, and harassing his dog brother, Chopper. He has served as an emotional support animal for me and he takes his job very seriously. He is a completely normal cat when he is not having seizures so he has an amazing quality of life! We have had a lot of life changes in the time since Itachi has become part of our family. We have had divorce, a death, and 2 births. We didn't anticipate having a cat with a chronic medical condition, and we don't want to lose him because his care is too expensive.
Garfield

Garfield came to Paws 4 Life on 5/25/24 with a terrible injury to his front leg where it was just dangling:( and he wouldn’t put any weight on it. He showed up at a feeding station for colony cats looking for food. We immediately took him to the vet for veterinary care. After Garfield was examined by the veterinarian, they determined he more than likely was hit by a car a fee weeks prior and as the injury was left untreated, it was becoming infected. Based on the vet’s recommendation, we made the decision to amputate Garfield’s leg. Although we have only had Garfield a short time, he is a very sweet cat. He was obviously someone’s cat at some point as all he wants is love from people. Paws 4 Life Animal Rescue helps animals that would be euthanized if we did not step in to help. We are a small non-profit organization and rely 100% on donations in order to help the animals in our care. We aren’t afraid to take on the animals that others turn away.
Sierra

I found Sierra through a Facebook post. Her pic was like one of those paintings where the eyes seem to follow you -- every time I tried to scroll past it, her eyes caught me. I didn't think I was ready to bring a new cat into my life after losing my last one, but I was moved by Sierra's story. She badly needed a calm, safe new home. I gave her one, and we've been happy together for 10 years. My sweet girl is an old lady now, being treated for hyperthyroidism, kidney disease and arthritis. She's in good shape and good spirits despite all that! But last year she developed a cancerous tumor in her mouth. We had it surgically removed twice. Next time, her vet Dr. Parshley at OVS Oncology wants to try nanoparticle-enhanced laser therapy, a cutting-edge treatment she's had success with. Sierra is used to being doted on so she can be a little demanding, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We're often together as I work from home -- she's on my desk in one of her heated kitty beds curled up between my arms as I write this. She sleeps next to my pillow at night. I love her so much and want to give her every chance to live the longest life possible and be happy and comfortable. Unfortunately, Sierra's health issues came at a time when I can only work part time, and the medical bills have exhausted my financial resources. Although I've become extremely frugal, I'm running out of things I can give up to pay for her care.
Shadow

Shadow came into my life when a relative of a friend had kittens to rehome. I was going to get a girl but when I held him I bonded instantly. I have 2 other cats in the house,but Shadow is my heart! A couple of weeks ago I took him to the vet because he has diarrhea. They suggested he have bloodwork done but I am not able to afford to have that done. They gave him antibiotics but they are not helping. My heart is breaking because I can't help him. Runaway Farms is my favorite place to take my pets. Shadow is my cuddle bug and whenever I am sitting on my chair he is with me, most of the time cuddled on my chest. He knows when treat time is and won't stop bugging me till he gets them lol. I am on a low fixed income and don't have any emergency funds. I would be very appreciative if someone could help me help Shadow to feel better soon. Thank you so much!

I got snoopy at 8 weeks, he’s my first ever puppy… my baby boy I never thought I would actually get attached to him like this haha. We also have 2 other cats in the home that he likes to play with when we found out he had parvo I was devastated why my baby boy? I’m looking to seek help with snoopys parvo treatment. Any amount will be okay, I’m just running out of funds myself and have to work more for my baby to be okay.(angel animal hospital) in Springfield mo Snoopy is a loving boy, he LOVES to say I love you back when you say it to him or when you walk in the door after him not seeing you he gets so excited it makes the rest of my day. He can shake,other paw,sit,lay and speak This is just all so sudden for this to happen with us also moving so anything would help i would do anything to have snoopy be okay. So I’ve been trying to do spark to help with the cost also I can’t keep seeing him like this
