Animal control officers weren't sure if Cheese was attacked by another animal or what horrors he endured. But with your help, the Determined to Rise Animal Foundation will ensure that Cheese never experiences pain like this again. The nonprofit group rushed Cheese to an animal hospital. He was in such heartbreaking shape that a veterinary team performed exploratory surgery--only to discover his wounds were worse than initially thought. "They discovered the rubber stapled to his head covered a very deep canyon of a wound that went from the top of his head into his ear canal," Amanda S., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "His leg was also severely injured. His biggest battles are the resulting infections." Cheese has proven to be the most resilient, brave, and determined cat the rescue has ever taken in. There is no exaggeration in those words. His case is complex and severe, yet he continues to prove each day he chooses to live. Cheese is social, loving, cuddly, and never stops purring. Cooper is a 7 year old Labrador Retriever in Ogden, UT, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Splenectomy.

Cooper is a competitive retriever dropout. Kicked off the farm, we were able to adopt him. Coop is 7 and has 1 fur brother and 3 human siblings. He lives in Utah and always makes sure the couch is warm and the food is tasted. He takes up too much space in bed and hates the vacuum. If you scratch his butt he tries to sit on his own head. Coop has a mass on his spleen. He is at risk of internal bleeding at any moment, and needs an emergency splenectomy. Without removal he has only a few weeks left, but with removal could live to a ripe old age. He had a minor bleed yesterday and collapsed, he is now home and monitored 24-7 while we raise funds to get him the surgery he needs. Coop is simply the best dog ever. He loves kids and especially cuddling babies. He love fetch and blowing bubbles in his baby pool, but hates baths. His teen sisters take him everywhere he is allowed, and every night he accompanies his toddler brother into the garden to help eat the berries off the bushes. He digs impressive holes on his quest to China. With 3 kids the expenses are high. Our oldest needs extreme oral surgery which insurance only partially covers. This is her second surgery this year and has drained our emergency funds. We are able to finance part of Coopers surgery, but have to pay a $4k deposit to begin.

Hello my pets name is houdini and he's been my boy for 7 years now I got him as a baby and we've had a pretty rough life right down to me and him being separated during the derecho and he almost died but he bounced back he fought to be here and I couldn't tank him to the vet then and he was ok for awhile and now here we are asking for your help. All of a sudden he started losing weight even though he eats and over the last year he has lost almost all his weight and muscle mass it's like something unseen is taking my cats life force iv tried store medication to de worm him but nothing from the store is helping a check up and blood tests and medication should be around 300 I just want him to be ok please help us. He's my baby boy he is such a loving cat is doesn't like fighting or violence at all he used to love to meow at me and play and pop bubbles with me but now hes running out of energy and he's running out of time and I just want to help him. Things have been hard since my father passed away and getting on my feet has been a challenge we are taking over my friends apartment but are currently looking for jobs and have interviews already but I don't think he has much time left. It would mean so much to me.

When dutchess was just a kitten I rescued her and the mother and the other kittens in the litter from a local park. It was apparent some one had unfortunately dumped them. I took dutchess to Ojai Village Veterinary Hospital today because she had a lump on her lower back. The vet said it is an abscess and that it needed to be lanced. In total it's going to cost me $700. I had to use a credit card to pay half up front. I really could use some assistance with paying the rest. Dutchess is more then just a pet to us. She is like family. We have had the pleasure of caring for her for almost 13 years now and more to come. I will be getting pet insurance after this so that future treatment for her will be more affordable. I am currently employed as a housekeeper at a local hotel here in ojai California. Even with working full time I am barely getting by. So any and all help with dutchess vet bill will be greatly appreciated.

Doc is a senior guy, approximately 12 years old. He's distinguished and ruggedly handsome, just a little timid at first. When he warms up, he's the KING of smiles. This is amazing because his person recently passed away so we're getting him all checked out and worked up medically so he can spend the rest of his days happy and as healthy as possible. He is being treated currently by Springboro. Doc is getting a senior workup and cleaned up also. He's being treated for joint pain for 10 days because his hips are very stiff and difficult for the vet to move him back half at all for the stiffness and apparently pain. He is undergoing treatment at Springboro Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care in Springboro, Ohio. Before his person's health declined 6 years ago, Doc traveled the world and to every state. He still has so much left! Doc smiles for strangers even through his nerves. He's curious even though he's an old man and experienced loss. Doc did well with the 3 small dogs in his home and when bigger dogs walked past at vet, he showed no interest. Doc loves car rides and he never stops smiling! His person passed away and good Samaritans are trying to get him into a new home before he has to leave because of the bills no longer being paid. We are raising money to help him out!

Both of her eyes had ruptured, and she could not see. She was not able to find food and became emaciated--she only weighed three pounds! When Saving Hope Rescue heard about this poor kitty, their volunteers raced her to the animal hospital. Delilah needs one eye removed, and her veterinarian is trying to save her other eye. She is very anemic, has bladder stones, and is being syringe-fed. She is also fighting a respiratory infection. Saving Hope needs your help paying for her hospitalization, X-rays, blood work, antibiotics, and surgery. Delilah is one of the friendliest cats to come through the vet's office. She leans into everyone who holds her and instantly calms when touched. She is incredibly gentle and vulnerable. There is such a crisis with unwanted cats that Saving Hope Rescue usually has up to 500 cats in its care at any given time—cats like Delilah. Please give and help the nonprofit group save her life!

Mabel was a stray and placed in an overcrowded shelter where she was at high risk for euthanasia given her advanced age, heartworm status, and large, distended belly. Nothing is known about her past, but it’s evident that she never received the care that she needed. That is changing and she is now free of all parasites and respiratory infections and ready for the next step in her healing journey. Mabel has a tennis ball-sized inguinal hernia, advanced dental disease, and resistant ear infections. She will need surgery to repair the hernia, extract her rotting teeth and be spayed. Diagnostics and medications are needed for her ear infections. Madison Vet Hospital will continue to provide for her veterinary care. Sweeter than sweet and surprisingly well mannered, Mabel never barks, and gets along easily with the other dogs here. Bright as a button, she absolutely adores snuggling and being held, has a lusty appetite, and takes her medications like a champ. Mabel’s soft, melting gaze barely masks her unspeakable pain. And yet, this ailing Beagle is 20 pounds of pure love! We are a non-profit animal sanctuary that provides high quality, lifetime care for severely ill animals, like Mabel, that have no other options. Beignet is a one-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat in Burns, TN, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.

Good Samaritans rallied to help Beignet, and now he needs *your *help! Beignet, a community cat, was discovered wobbling and falling down. His caretaker and several neighbors worked together to save him. When Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue heard about Beignet, they raced him to an animal hospital. He has obstructive hydrocephalus, which means he has fluid on his brain. Beignet needed an MRI and a spinal tap to figure out what's causing the condition. His hospitalization and specialized testing have cost more than $10,000. But the rescue group says it helped them get answers, and they're hopeful he can recover. "He is the best, most loving cat and deserves to live," Savannah S., with the nonprofit group, tells Waggle. "He lights up whenever he sees one of his foster cat siblings. He chirps when he sees another cat! Please help us save him."

8-year-old Ziggy was surrendered to Ten Lives Cat Rescue after his guardian was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer care for him. He is currently in a foster home while he prepares for adoption, including receiving care for diabetes. On Monday evening (5/13), Ziggy appeared low energy and only ate part of his dinner. He was otherwise fine and monitored closely overnight by his foster parents. The following day (5/14), Ziggy vomited multiple times and collapsed while walking towards his foster parents. He was rushed to Ocean State Veterinary Specialists where he was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and hospitalized. Ziggy is an outgoing and curious feline who has never met a stranger. He has a big personality and has so much love to give. Ziggy loves snuggling with his foster parents. When he's around, you feel like you're his favorite person. Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based rescue is 100% volunteer-powered and community-supported.
