Linus
Linus is a 5-year-old Coon Hound / Basset Hound in Palm Bay, FL, who needs $2,000 for Luxating Patella Orthopedic Surgery.

We rescued Linus and his brother Snoopy from the Sebring FL animal shelter when they were 12 weeks old. Their bio’s were so sad. Their mother and siblings were killed by a car and they were found on the side of a road. I couldn’t separate them so I surprised my wife with the news of adopting two dogs. Since Covid, I’ve worked from home and havent been away from them for more then an hour at a time Linus is an affectionate loving boy that loves hours of belly rubs and cuddling. All three of our pups must sleep in our bed. I got a small pull out bed so they could be at the same height as our bed, but it’s not close enough. lol. Linus and his brother are inseparable. As the runt, he somehow is the boss of his brother even though he’s outweighed by 20 lbs. By far the best dogs I’ve ever had. Linus is my baby. My wife and son call me the dog whisperer because of the strong bond we have. His goofy playful attitude and lovable personality melt my heart. When Linus was a pup we noticed a limp. The vet said he has a luxating patella and needed surgery around $2,500. We haven’t been able to afford it and now his random limp has become daily. Walking on three legs is hard to watch when he tries to keep up with his brother. He’s developed early arthritis because of his condition. Surgery will give him back years of brotherly love and family walks. Between Covid, inflation, and the cost of raising kids it’s been very hard to save and prioritize Linus’s surgery. Giving Linus his ability to run and play would mean the world to him and his daddy. He’s my best friend and I can’t keep seeing him go through life in pain.Help
Crumpet
Crumpet is a 1.5-year-old British Shorthair Cat in Arden, NC, who needs $2,000 for Spinal Trauma.

Crumpet is one of our six incredibly spoiled indoor kitties. We, as well as all of his housemates, were adopted From their original owners due to lifelong behavioral or medical issues. Crumpet was attacked by Brie (one of our other kitties) and apparently bitten towards the base of the tail which has resulted in him being in able to use his left rear leg.. We are at the ER now. Crumpet was given to us by his owner that was unprepared for his kitten energy. He loves to play as most young cats do but is also the snuggliest baby we have. My husband was *chosen* by Crumpet the very day we met him and the two have been inseparable since. We are currently at SAVES being assessed. I don’t have more information than that at this time. Radiographs are a given but the concern is spinal trauma which could possibly result in a longterm disability I lost my job in January and simply can’t take on additional debt until our finances improve. I am an active board member of Asheville Cat Weirdos but unfortunately because of that, I am ineligible for financial aid through our non profit.

Starving and unsure of where to go next, the sweet, hungry boy approached someone for help. Instead, that person kicked Bjorn in the face, breaking his jaw and dislocating his jaw's joint. When Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI) heard about Bjorn, they swooped in to save him. Now, he's hospitalized and requires surgery to remove a few teeth so he can eat comfortably. "His jaw will never lay normally, and he will always drool a little bit, but we think Bjorn's crooked jaw makes him adorable," Amy H., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "It shows what a brave boy he has been!" Despite the trauma inflicted on Bjorn, he remains a sweet, trusting soul. But the rescue needs to raise the money for his medical bills. "You can embrace Bjorn with your gift to show him that there is so much more kindness in this world than he has experienced," Amy says. Help the rescue provide this emergency care to Bjorn so the group can continue to fight animal cruelty and save animals left broken on the streets.
Gingerbread
Gingerbread is a three-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat in Gainesville, FL, who needs $1,910 for urgent hip surgery.

Gingerbread had a brush with death after she was hit by a car. Her caregivers found her with devastating injuries and contacted Operation Catnip of Gainesville. "She had a shattered leg with exposed bone," Audrey G., with the rescue group, tells Waggle. "It required immediate amputation, but that wasn't the end of Gingerbread's troubles. She also had a broken pelvis, and the hip bone in her remaining hind leg was dislocated." Gingerbread needed a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) surgery to help fix her hip so she can walk without pain. She required crate rest and an exercise routine. "Gingerbread is one of our special, critical care cases, who never acted feral even though she had been an outdoor cat" Audrey says. "She has been super-friendly the entire time she has been with us. Her caregivers, who love her deeply, know that they had to let her go because they could not keep her indoors, as will be required for her from now on." She will be transferred to an adoption program where she can find a loving indoor home! Please help Gingerbread by funding her medical care after suffering such tragic injuries. "At Operation Catnip, spay-neuter is always our priority," Audrey adds. "But community cats also deserve high-quality medical care when they're ill or injured. With your help, we can offer second chances at life for the unowned cats of our county and surrounding rural neighbors."

The Skittish Family Puppies

These puppies were found with their mom living under a worn down trailer that was located near a busy road. Covered in fleas and in poor shape, D&A knew it was crucial to rescue them ASAP. Semi-feral and terrified of people, D&A named these puppies "The Skittish Family." Upon arriving at the trailer, D&A discovered that the litter originally consisted of 16 puppies, but only these 8 survived the terrible conditions and nearby traffic. D&A returned day after day determined to rescue every single remaining puppy. After tireless efforts, they were successful and brought all puppies back to the rescue for immediate care. They were covered in so many fleas, they required four baths before being fully cleared. D&A is providing the puppies with the emotional and physical support they need to grow into healthy dogs. The Skittish Family puppies are learning to trust people and are no longer scared! With D&A's help, they are beginning to reveal their happy, playful puppy personalities. Papi
Papi is a 4-month-old Mix in Magnolia, TX, who needs $500 for Urgent Care.

Papi was found abandoned in deplorable conditions. With no food or water and among filth and trash, he was left with his brother to fend for themselves. D&A Rescue couldn't believe the horrible existence these puppies were in and knew they had to step in and help. They found Papi emaciated, dehydrated, and infested with fleas and worms. On top of that, his paws were sore and bloody from trying to escape. Despite having such a hard start to life, Papi has nothing but love to give! He is enjoying being a regular puppy and learning how to play with toys as well as beg for attention. Papi has a long journey ahead to return to full health. D&A is following their vet clinic's recommendations to get the puppies stabilized. Papi is in medical foster care being treated for his fleas and worms and slowly gaining weight. Once he regains some strength, they will require numerous veterinary visits. D&A is dedicated to saving animals even when the road to recovery will be extensive and difficult. They are a small rescue with limited funds, but they never hesitate to help an animal in need. Please consider donating!
Nikka
Nikka is a 2-year-old Poodle in Murphy, TX, who needs $1,000 for Skin Care, Spay, Dental and Other Possible Treatments.

Nikka was abandoned by people who were supposed to love and protect her the most. She had obviously been either dumped or abandoned left to fend for herself on the streets of Houston for a long time. CAMO Rescue took Nikka in knowing she would require a lot of physical and emotional care. They gave her numerous medicated baths to get rid of the fleas, dirt, and blood that caked her body, but she was so matted that it was hard to shave her. Despite her horrible past and terrible condition, Nikka started to trust her foster family and their current dogs. Nikka has clearly faced pain and discomfort, she had nothing but love to give. She enjoys meeting new people and making friends, especially those who give her belly rubs. Nikka has a difficult road ahead. Her skin will require lots of care and time to reduce the inflammation and infection and heal. She is receiving small meals several times a day to help her slowly gain weight. Once she has gained at least 10lbs, she will be spayed and have a full dental. Nikka is making slow improvements every day due to the dedication and support of CAMO Rescue and her foster family. Perla
Perla is a 10-month-old Mix in SCOTTSDALE, AZ, who needs $250 for Leg Surgery and Urgent Care.

Perla is a young puppy that has many health problems to overcome. Found on the streets of Mexico, Perla was in extreme discomfort from mange and an infected tooth. Upon further investigation, it was discovered she also had a fractured right hip. While the exact cause of the fracture is unknown, it is suspected to be from blunt-force trauma. Regardless of what happened, the fracture caused extreme pain and made it difficult for Perla to walk. Luckily, HannahPearl Rescue, a non-profit organization in Arizona, took Perla in determined to provide the treatment and care she required. Perla requires an extensive hip surgery that will result in her ability to move around pain-free. She also needs all basic care such as vaccines, spay, and preventatives. Even with her painful condition, Perla has revealed her resilient nature and radiates happiness. She is extremely friendly despite the trauma of her past.
