Daysi
Daysi is a 3-year-old Mix in Magnolia, TX, who needs $300 for Urgent Care.

Daysi was spotted living under a worn down trailer located near a busy road. She had clearly just given birth to puppies and was underweight, filthy, and extremely scared. D&A Animal Rescue knew how important it was to save Daysi and her puppies. They rushed there to find that half of Daysi's puppies were hit by cars and didn't make it. Determined to save the rest of the family, D&A spent days returning to the scene. Daysi was petrified of every sound, movement, and person who came near. She was determined to protect her puppies which made catching her even more of a challenge. D&A persevered and returned to the trailer day after day. Eventually, they were successful and caught Daysi and all of her puppies. D&A immediately took all of the dogs to a veterinary clinic for thorough examinations. Daysi will need continued care as she heals both physically and emotionally. Daysi will require close monitoring as she tries to put on weight while caring for her puppies; once she is healthy enough, she will be able to basic care such as vaccinations. Buddy the Elf

Buddy the Elf was found by animal control suffering from extreme mange and covered in fleas. He was severely underweight, struggling to breathe, and he barely had any fur on his infected skin. Animalluvr's Dream Rescue took Buddy in knowing he would require a lot of physical and emotional care. They gave him numerous medicated baths to get rid of the fleas, dirt, and blood that caked Buddy's body. Despite his horrible past and terrible condition, Buddy started to trust Animalluvr's Dream Rescue enough to start eating and even took kibble from one of their hands. Buddy has a difficult road ahead. His skin will require lots of care and time to reduce the inflammation and infection and heal. Buddy also has a long journey in learning how wonderful life can be when loved. Buddy the Elf is making slow improvements every day due to the dedication and support of Animalluvr's Dream Rescue. He was rescued by NYC Second Chance Rescue from a life of abuse and dog fighting. His ears were ripped and infected, his body was covered in bite punctures, and there was a knife wound on his head. Despite his horrible past, he has so much love to give and quickly won over the hearts of the veterinary staff who cared for him. He was even adopted by one of the veterinarians who treated Meatball's injuries! Meatball was hospitalized at Animal Medicine and Surgery of Little Neck and received daily wound care, antibiotics, and pain management medication. He also underwent surgery to remove necrotic tissue and close his wounds. Meatball's journey from a terrified dog fighting victim to a miraculous recovery and life full of love and happiness, shows NYC Second Chance Rescue's amazing work. While Meatball is now living his best life, his extensive veterinary treatment still needs to be covered. Tres
Tres is a 20-month-old DSH Cat in Parma, OH, who needs $1,382 for Amputation.

Elf, now known as Tres was hit by a car and brought to the shelter as a stray at Christmastime. The discovery of a transverse fracture of his distal femur presented a tough decision for the shelter. Recognizing that his leg wouldn't heal properly, the vet at Kentown Animal Hospital recommended amputation. Julie, a compassionate foster parent, opened her home to Tre so he could recover in comfort. Tres finds solace in the familiarity of his blanket on the couch, a place where he can rest and feel secure. His playful spirit emerges as he discovers the joy of a tiny toy CAVS ball and the intrigue of a laser pointer. While initially a bit shy and hesitant to be held, Tres begins to warm up to love and attention of Julie and her husband. As he adapts to his new reality, Tres navigates his surroundings with surprising agility, although mastering stairs is still a work in progress. The endearing quirk of practically digging to China in his litter box reveals a playful side, adding charm to his personality. The narrative concludes with the promise of a bright future as Tres continues to recover. The anticipation of his availability for adoption carries a sense of hope, as Elf, now Tres, awaits a forever home filled with love and understanding. We are very hopeful that Tres will have a happy life despite only having three legs. His veterinarian is Dr. Chris Roberts, D.V.M. Kentown Animal Hospital. The Parma Animal Shelter relies on donations and grants to fund the veterinary care of animals like Tres. We are 100% volunteers whose first priority is happy endings for all our guests. We are so grateful to our fosterers like Julie and her husband for caring for Tres.

loba is a 4-year-old White Cat in Tucson, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Amputation.

we've had loba for about 4 years. she lo es with me and my 2 dogs as well as daughter and girlfriend. we all want to be able to pay for her surgery but cannot afford it. loba is a cuddle bug. she loves to sleep with us wherever we are. on the couch bed or at the dinner table. she also loves to yell at us when she wants breakfast in the morning. loba loves people.i have never heard her once his or scratch another loving being. she is the most genuinely sweet animal I have ever had. even if she does get grouchy sometimes. the name of our hospital is civano animal hospital. loba got out of the house last year and must have come in contact with some wildlife here in tucson. she broke her arm and we had to rush her to the hospital. after maxing out a credit card paying for her re casting and x-rays, I was not able to afford the 4000 for her amputation. I am sure at this point some it is just being taped that it need surgery asap. I am a single recently divorced father of 1 three year old daughter.

My dog son Floyd came into our lives very deliberately and with much fanfare. Eight years ago, something deep inside told us we needed a Basset Hound puppy and we found him courtesy of a lovely house of Basset enthusiasts in our native West Virginia. When he was just a pup, he came home to live here with my daughters and me in Jamestown, North Carolina, where is a local celebrity. Floyd is the light of our lives and the heart of our home. When my daughters and I became a family of three, we knew we needed a dog and oh, did he ever do the trick. We do everything together. He and my youngest have grown from babies together and they are forever playing and romping. He is a true and devoted companion to both girls, and as close to me as anyone could ever be. We love him so. Floyd is the handsomest dog to ever live. He is the young Peter O'Toole of canines. The sight of him on a walk or riding shotgun in our SUV produces gasps of delight. He is a handsome, handsome boy and the most regal of dogs. His mighty nose once tracked down our stolen trash can. He also happens to be a dear and compassionate boy whose antics and Hound sounds make us laugh every day. He is joy. We recently rushed Floyd to the vet and discovered he had pancreatitis and his kidneys were in bad shape. He was admitted to a veterinary hospital, and spent a week being treated with not much luck. The prognosis was poor. Then we found Dr. Christine Hunt at University Animal Hospital, and a glimmer of hope! She saw his pep and suggested a stem cell treatment to regenerate his kidneys. I'm a single mom of two girls and I work for a nonprofit. We just maxed out CareCredit for Floyd's hospital stay. Now there's the prospect of the stem cell treatment ($2,000+) and we're desperate to make it happen, to do all we can to have our boy vibrant and healthy again.

Injured and in pain, he sat on the side of the road, hoping someone would save him. That's when a good Samaritan found Todd, picked him up, and gunned it to an animal hospital. The staff rushed Todd in for X-rays, which revealed he had two broken bones in his front legs. The hospital didn't want him to die but could not pay for his treatment, so they contacted One By One Animal Advocates. "They asked us if we could save his life, and we said, 'Yes,'" Heather A., with One By One, tells Waggle. Now, the nonprofit group is gunning--to raise the money for Todd's emergency care and likely surgery. "This little guy has already been through so much and endured a lot of pain at such a young age," Heather says. Marnie
Marnie is a 1-year-old Aussie in Avon, OH, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Care and Leg Amputation.

Marnie was rescued after escaping from a puppy mill and getting hit by a semi-truck. She was rushed to West Park Animal Hospital where x-rays revealed an untreated old injury to her leg and elbow. It was determined Marnie's leg would need to be amputated. However, while waiting for her surgery, Marnie stopped being able to walk and urinate on her own. Marnie remained hospitalized for days requiring extra medications and specialized care to help her go to the bathroom normally and decrease her pain. Marnie then underwent a leg amputation and spay. She has a long recovery ahead both mentally and physically. However, with FIDO's Companion Rescue Inc's help, Marnie is now on her way to a life without pain and full of love and care. FIDO's Companion Inc. is a small non-profit 501(c)3 organization operating in Lorain County Ohio made up of volunteers who perform vital functions in the process of rescuing animals. Feral

These cats are part of a feral colony in Queens in the Richmond Hill Section. They are cared for by a community member that feeds them, provides shelter (car tires, boxes with straw bedding), and a winter water bubbler to prevent the water from freezing These cats are feral so they are always at a distance. They stay in the colony neighborhood because resources are provided. We can however, see relationships (good and bad) between them All cats are special.:). The feral ones require a lot of empathy because they are wild animal and do not want our assistance. They are terrified of humans, so trapping them for sterilization surgery is stressfull but we make it a kind and humane as possible These cats, left on the street, sexually intact, breed and multiply. The chances of a kitten making it through the winter is only about 20%, so by sterilizing them before that happens, truly saves lives! The supply of feral cats in the 5 boroughs of NYC are seemingly endless. Every dollar helps to get to them all. The assistances goes to paying spay/neuter veterinarians, support staff and supplies
