Piper
Piper is a 6-year-old Dachshund Mix in Huntington, WV, who needs $1,215 for Mammary Mass Surgery.

When she wasn't needed any longer, she was dumped at a shelter. But no one wanted to adopt a dog with unsightly tumors. "Her body bears the scars of being overbred; Piper's journey hasn't been an easy one," Heather A., with One By One Animal Advocates, tells Waggle. "The toll of countless litters has left her with multiple mammary masses that require urgent attention." The nonprofit group saved Piper and is rushing to raise the money for surgery to remove the masses, send them to pathology, and spay her. "Join us in advocating for Piper and other dogs like her who have suffered from irresponsible breeding practices," Heather says. "Together, we can create awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering pets and prevent them from experiencing the same hardships as Piper." Please help Piper get a new leash on life and leave her days of having puppies in the past!
Princess Peach

Princess Peach came to me in January 2023, her owner said she was crying 24/7 and she just couldn't stand it and she had to go, so I did not hesitate to bring at the time this sweet 3-month-old puppy home with me. When I got her, she was covered in fleas and mange. I took her to the vet first thing the next morning. It took two months of medicines and vet trips, but she healed. Due to Peachy's pain she does lay around a lot. She has two raised beds one inside and one outside. She likes laying in her bed on the deck. Even though she has her own bed, she sleeps anywhere she wants including my bed. She loves her brother Zen (my 1/2 German Shepard/ Pitty) They were both rescued on the same day just different years. She loves kisses on the forehead, belly rubs and scratches. Peachy taught me how to play fetch. She will lay down and use her mouth to throw the ball and I will get it and then toss it up in the air and she will catch it while laying down. When she is sleeping, she will hold my hand in her mouth as a comfort to her. I noticed that Peachy started walking funny and crying every time she stood up. After a trip to the vet, it was confirmed that she has hip dysplasia and needs a full hip replacement, her right hip socket is completely gone. Purdue Small Animal Hospital will be doing the surgery in November. Her surgery is $25,000-$36,000, but she is worth every penny. I did take a loan out, but it was not enough for the surgery, and having the loan payment will cause a financial burden, but Peachy is very worth it. I just want to see her live a pain free life. I don't want my lack of income to stop her from getting the surgery she needs.

Someone discovered the young kitten outside with deep, painful, maggot-infested wounds on his backside. The Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge raced him to an animal hospital. "The wounds are deep, and Jupiter is in pain," Amy H., with the nonprofit group, tells Waggle. Jupiter was rushed into emergency surgery to clean his wounds and remove the larvae. Then, his blood pressure plunged, leaving him severely anemic and unstable. Jupiter needs a blood transfusion to undergo another surgery to amputate his necrotic, degloved tail safely. The tiny kitten racked up a huge hospital bill, and the rescue group hopes animal lovers will help rescue them by giving to Jupiter's campaign. "Jupiter's medical team has fallen in love with his adorable nature," Amy says. "He loves to eat and is doing well despite his discomfort. Jupiter is a tiny baby with an incredible will to live! Welsie Went Through Living Hell! During the first two months, this kitten was alive, she suffered horrific injuries. Her eye was hanging from the socket; she had a shattered elbow and no tail. She was discovered covered in fleas, emaciated, and dirty. Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge rescued her, and now they're raising money for the urgent care she needs, including multiple surgeries to remove her injured eye and then to amputate what is left of her mangled tail. One day, Bennett got a lifeline when a maintenance worker inadvertently discovered him. The person took photos of the horrifyingly emaciated dog and found help. "Bennett's life was hanging by a thread when he was found trapped in a filthy cage," Savannah S., with Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, tells Waggle. "Lying in filth, with no hope; I can't imagine how hopeless and miserable he had to be." Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue rushed Bennett to an animal hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition. Bennett urgently requires full diagnostics, including bloodwork and X-rays. These crucial tests, will unveil all the underlying health problems he has been silently battling and also shed light on his severe emaciation. As Bennett fights for his life, he remains in the ICU under constant supervision. Intravenous fluids are keeping him hydrated and a slow feeding plan so that he can regain his strength and stability. Every small step counts towards his recovery. Now, it is our turn to step up and be Bennett's lifeline. The rescue has taken charge of his care but desperately needs funds to cover his medical expenses. Every dollar counts. Please help save Bennett, who deserves a second chance at happiness!

Our sweet Luna started out life with some not so nice people. She was locked in a shed, left for dead, when the people moved out. The neighbors heard the puppy in the shed, and called animal control. Luna had spent approximately 5 days pad locked in a storage shed at just 3 months old. We adopted her at 5 months old from a shelter, and despite her rough start, she such a loving and sweet girl. Luna is very loved and spoiled in our home. Our adult daughter would say, she is more loved than her! She sleeps in our bed, snuggled between us. We just celebrated her 1st birthday with a cupcake and unicorn stuffies. She goes everywhere with us, and we cant imagine life without her. Luna is a daddy's girl. When he was hospitalized she was heartbroken. She adores her new puppy sister Willow. Luna is a talker, she tells quite the story sometimes. She sighs, grumbles and groans like a person. Her favorite thing is the water hose. She always has her head flipped in some weird position to make you laugh, and always has that pitty smile on her face. Everyone who meets her, loves her. She loves to use her feet to flip toys, or stand on something she doesn' want moved, like the vacuum cord. During poop zoomies, she ran into a piece of metal. Luna fractured her C2 vertebra and broke her sinus cavity above her eye. Luna will be under going a $14k surgery at VCA Animal Hospital 10.12.23 to remove pieces of broken bone, fuse 2 vertebra, place some screws & glue to stabilize the neck so she can live pain free, and turn her head without the risk of bone pieces damaging her spinal cord. Luna's dad was hospitalized for 16 days with disseminated Histoplasmosis in July 23 & off work for 60 days. He's on expensive meds for 12 months & the hospital bills have taken their toll. We cant imagine making our sweet girl suffer or losing her due to lack of money.

Sweet, lovable Aurora was surrendered to a shelter when her owner was evicted from her home. When the shelter noticed that Aurora wasn't feeling well, they contacted us and we transferred her quickly into our sanctuary program. Aurora adores her caretakers and is friendly with the other dogs here. Even when she's not feeling well, she wants to be close to her humans and sleeps on their feet. She's been so good with all the poking and prodding that she's gotten at the vet hospital and takes her medications like a champ. Most endearing is Aurora's broad smile and loving eyes. When she looks at you, she melts your heart. Her warmth radiates to your soul and you can't help but feel her love and tenderness. Aurora was vomiting quite a bit when she arrived and needs x-rays and continued medications to diagnose and treat her symptoms and improve her appetite. Dr. Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital, is treating her. As a registered, nonprofit animal rescue and sanctuary, we rely on donations to pay for the medical care of the animals in our program. We've raised money for Aurora's lab testing, but we need to ask for donations for her x-rays and medications. Please help Aurora.

Jude is a rescue cat with special needs. He has feline stomatitis, a dental disease, and had a full dental and root extraction. He lives with me and his kitty girlfriend, Emma. They are a bonded pair and so in love. As a divorced woman with one income, I am doing it all on my own. Not easy sometimes, especially with the financial hits I have taken since the pandemic and recession. Jude is the most sensitive and loving cat. When he is not intertwined with the beautiful Emma, he is purring in my lap. I consider him to be my emotional support cat. He drapes himself across me whenever I am feeling sad, tired, or unwell. He scarcely left my side when I had COVID. He believes he can heal me with his love, and I believe it, too. He is so very handsome, yet he has a most judgmental expression on his face. My best friend calls him "The Judgement". I sometimes call him "Judge Jude". It does appear as if he is judging us and it is so endearing! He has feline stomatitis, and developed a fluid filled cyst in his mouth. It has to be removed, possibly biopsied, and will require anesthesia. He will be treated by Dr. Barnes at Oak Creek Small Animal Hospital. I was hit hard by this pandemic and recession.( A Covid layoff, out of state relocation for work, two more moves, my own health issues, medical bills) I want to do everything I can to take care of my sweet boy and any help I can get is much appreciated.

Fandy ended up at our local shelter because of her severely fractured leg. It breaks our hearts to think that her life could be in danger simply because there aren't enough funds for veterinary care. Thankfully, Waggle, Bev Lambert's Wonderdog Fund, and our amazing supporters stepped in to make sure Fandy received the veterinary care she desperately needed for her fractured hind leg. With their help, we were able to provide the funds necessary to give Fandy a fighting chance and she is finally safe in our care at Pittie in Pink. Now, Fandy is safe in our loving care at Pittie in Pink and has found comfort in her new foster home. We initially thought her leg would have to be amputated. But after the surgical team at Nashville Veterinary Specialists reviewed her charts, they believe they can save her leg! Fandy has been scheduled for surgery in just a few days' time. This procedure will give her the best possible chance at a happy and pain-free life. Thank you for making a difference in this sweet dog's life!
