Jaxson

Jaxson is a 9 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Dallas , TX, who needs $15,000 for CHOP Chemo Protocol for Lymphoma.

Dallas, TX

Jaxson has been my best friend, constant companion, and, in every way that matters, my child for nearly 10 years. Because I can’t have children, our bond became even more profound. I adopted him as a puppy, and from that day on, we seemed to imprint on one another. We’ve been inseparable ever since, sharing a connection unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. After weeks of weight loss and other concerning symptoms, my veterinarian discovered enlarged lymph nodes throughout Jaxson’s body, along with an enlarged liver and spleen. Cytology strongly indicates multicentric lymphoma, and we’re awaiting final pathology results. We’re pursuing oncology consultations with MedVet Dallas and VCA Animal Diagnostic Clinic–Dallas to determine the best treatment pla Jaxson has the gentlest soul. He’s always been my shadow, following me from room to room and somehow sensing exactly when I need him most. We seem to have imprinted on each other—we even share some of the same health struggles and routines. Because I can’t have children, Jaxson truly is my son. The love, comfort, and companionship he’s given me over the last decade are impossible to put into words Jaxson’s diagnosis has been emotionally and financially overwhelming. I work full-time, but cancer diagnostics and treatment are far beyond what I can afford alone. My mom, who lives on disability with a very limited income, plans to temporarily move in to help care for him

Honey

Honey is a 5 Month Old Yorkshire Terrier in Crandall, TX, Who Needs $7,000 for Surgery to Right Leg.

Crandall, TX

My name is Felicia, I’m 47 years old and I’ve never owned a pet. As a child I was fearful of dogs but as I became an adult I grew out of it but never thought I would own a dog. My husband and I finally had the opportunity to have a pet, my cousin brought Honey to our home and it was love at first sight. We’ve had her for about 2 months and she has brought so much joy and love to our home. On Christmas Day I was at my mother’s home for Christmas and Honey and my mother’s dog was in the backyard as they always do but somehow she got through a small opening in the fence and got close to the road and injured her right hind leg. I am so heart broken. We took her to the vet and she will need surgery. We just got pet insurance this week but we’re not sure if it will cover the surgery which is over $6,000. My husband is a disabled veteran and I work as a substitute teacher while taking college courses. We would appreciate any help so we can get our baby’s surgery.

Lexy is a 2 Year Old Mix-Breed in Chicago, CO, Who Needs $275 for Comprehensive Diagnostic & Supportive Care.

chicago, CO

Lexy is a gentle, affectionate dog that I rescued from the street about a year ago. When I first found her, she was frightened, underweight, and unsure of people, but she trusted me enough to accept help. Since then, she has slowly transformed into a loving, loyal companion who feels safe in her home and close to the people she trusts. Saving her was one of the most meaningful decisions ever Lexy suddenly became weak, stopped eating, and showed signs of pain, so I took her to MedVet Chicago for urgent care. She needs tests and treatment costing $275. I rescued her from the street a year ago, and she’s been family ever since. Any help toward her medical care means the world to us. Lexy is special because she’s gentle, loyal, and full of quiet love. Ever since I rescued her a year ago, she’s been a calm, comforting presence. She follows me everywhere, curls up beside me, and greets family with soft eyes and a wagging tail. Her sweet nature brings warmth to everyone around her. Lexy needs urgent medical care costing $275, which I can’t cover on my own. Supporting her treatment would give her a chance to recover and return to her happy, loving self. Having her healthy again would mean the world to me, bringing peace, relief, and the joy of seeing my

Kody is a 12 year old Labrador Retriever in Rockwall, TX, who needs $15,000 for Oncology Diagnostic.

Rockwall, TX

I adopted Kody from the Atlanta Humane Society in 2012 when he was 8 weeks old. It’s been just the two of us ever since. We recently moved into a home with a yard so he could enjoy his senior years, but shortly after, he became very sick. I’m doing everything I can to keep him comfortable and give him the life he deserves. Kody was recently diagnosed with a lung mass and possible heart involvement. He’s experiencing elevated respiratory rate and occasional arrhythmias. We’re pursuing diagnostics and treatment to keep him comfortable and extend his time. He’s still alert, eating, and enjoying time together, and I want to give him every chance. Kody looks into your soul. Everyone who meets him feels pure, unconditional love. He senses emotions deeply—offering space when needed or love when you need it most. He’s loyal, gentle, and forgiving, always giving his heart without hesitation. Kody has taught me what it truly means to love. Kody’s diagnostics alone will cost $5,000, with treatment potentially adding $10,000 more. I recently purchased a home—meant to give Kody a better life—but the timing of his illness has created a heavy financial burden. His home shouldn’t come at the expense of his life.

Dart

Dart is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Denton, TX, who needs $2,000 for Chest Surgery.

Denton, TX

Dart was rescued from the attic of the Boys & Girls Club of Dallas. He was about 4 mnths, 1 lb, & terrified. He and our cat, Mulder, started playing and as Dart watched Mulder interact with us, he also slowly began to trust us. He's been an absolute love bug ever since! He also likes to play with our Border Collie-Corgi, Reno, and he's respectful of the old man of the house, Houdini (my 18y cat). Despite his rough start, Dart grew into a beefy, healthy cat! Unfortunately, it is believed that some foxtail grass awns have worked their way into his lungs causing a build-up of infected, puss-like fluid in his chest cavity. Where the fluid is located requires surgery in order for antibiotics to result in successful recovery. He started at Denton County Animal ER & is now at MedVet - Dallas. Dart literally darts around the house. He's fond of parkouring up the walls of the hallway. He loves intensely; you cannot pet him too hard; soft pets are not for him. His favorite place to hang out is a dark cubby above the TV where he appears as just a pair of eyes. As a new person, you do have to earn his trust but once you have it, he's just a sweet love bug! He brings me peace and joy. What is going on with him was difficult to track down and therefore it's already been quite expensive. At $20k (credit now maxed out) we're looking at an additional $15k - $25k for surgery and recovery. Without surgery, recovery is unlikely.

We have Roxy and Ruby Lopez. They are sisters and have grown up together. Ruby is a bit worried about her sister as she’s been in some pain. We have some pain meds to get her through until we can make the means to have her a surgery. This week has been an extremely difficult one for our family. As I recuperate from my hysterectomy, which I underwent on 5/21, we have also learned that our cherished 8-year-old pet, Roxy Lopez, whom we raised alongside her sister, has torn her ACL. The costs associated with her surgery are projected to range from $4,000 to $6,000, placing a substantial financial burden on our family. Roxy is a protector. She loves on our 5 teens and she protects the halls and doorways. She loves her sister Ruby and she is a kind hearted big baby. She is our babygirl. Our family. Our big Rox I just underwent surgery for a hysterectomy on 5/21 and we have 3 teens in college and one whom just graduated high school. We have had our fair share of college expenses and vehicle repairs and with the surgery, we were not expecting Roxy to get hurt.

Dolly

Dolly is a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Allen, TX, who needs $2,000 for ICU, Blood Transfusions-Babesia Gibsoni Treatment.

Allen, TX

I rescued Dolly from the Fort-worth animal shelter back in December 2022. We were experiencing extreme cold temperatures and the shelter put out a plea for help to foster and adopt, because they would have to euthanize a large number of dogs because the shelter was overcrowded and dogs were being housed outside. I saved Dolly from potential euthanasia, as well as her brother. I went home with two. Dolly had an emergency splenectomy on February 13 2025, she was recovering well until her CBC lab values dropped to critical, 2 months later. She is fighting Babesia Gibsoni that was dormant until her spleen was removed. Dolly needs continued ICU care and blood transfusions in order to buy her time to allow the medications to start working. She was at MedVet Dallas. I had to bring her home today. It took Dolly 6 months to walk out the front door. She was completely shut down when we rescued her. She was afraid of everything and especially men. With love and patience she was able to overcome her fears with me and only me. She will not go on walks unless I am with her. If I am walking behind her she will stop and wait for me to catch up, we walk together as our souls are intertwined. We are still paying off her emergency splenectomy, we used our emergency fund for her first emergency and now we are dealing with another and don’t have that fund available anymore. I am a full time student and I work part time while I try to finish school.

Sulphur Springs, TX

Fatty officially became in my life in 2013 while I was living in Austin Texas. A family member had acquired he and his sister after finding out they had no one and were on their own and alone in a barn. I was (immediately and admittedly- still am) smitten with that kitten. Alot has changed over the years -except the unbreakable bond we share. We live in Dallas these days. In the past weeks, Fatty presented with what looked to be a UTI. After a Vet visit, we set out to get him on the antibiotics As a week passed, he owed no signs of correction and in fact got worse. After taking him to the Emergency Vet Group at 3 am, we were advised that Fatty needed several diagnostic tests requiring sedation, overnight etc. My heart sank- I have no options. Fatty is not basic- He LOVES to eat and when not eating he likes to plan on eating. He is very loveable and loves attention. He often is the happiest when I come home from work or being away, we truly have a special bond! Hard worker but in a dark deep hole-financially. All that matters is getting him the care he needs and soon and he is deteriorating rapidly- Please-help me get him the care he needs. He is literally I all I have as family.

Help Archie: A Puppy Battling Malfunctioning Signals Between His Nerves and Muscles

Dallas, TX • Pooch Savers Rescue

Pooch Savers Rescue Archie is an 8-month-old Cairn Terrier/Schnauzer mix who was born at Pooch Savers Rescue. After being adopted, he was unfortunately returned due to his adopters' work schedules and is now still searching for his forever home. During his adoption, Archie was diagnosed with Masticatory Myositis (MMM), an autoimmune condition that causes his jaw to lock. He has been treated with steroids (Prednisone), which has successfully helped manage the disease. However, new symptoms suggest there may be an additional underlying condition. Currently, Archie is being treated for aspiration pneumonia, likely caused by regurgitation, which may be linked to a condition called mega-esophagus. We are awaiting confirmation of this diagnosis. To help manage his condition, Archie needs to eat in an upright position, which is why you may see pictures of him in a laundry basket—his makeshift Bailey chair. When you see him in an actual Bailey chair, it’s from his overnight stay at MedVet. He also wears a donut-shaped collar to manage the regurgitation, which is likely related to the mega-esophagus (ME). We spoke with a neurologist, and Archie will be undergoing two tests to help identify the exact cause of his symptoms, which are suspected to be autoimmune-related. He will need to stay overnight again for further observation. It is now suspected he is battling Myasthenia gravis (MG), a disease in dogs that causes a malfunction in the transmission of signals between nerves and muscles, resulting in muscle weakness and other symptoms. This diagnosis would explain both his MMM and ME. Unfortunately, Archie’s medical expenses are rising. So far, we’ve spent $3,000 on his care, and we anticipate the total cost could reach $6,000 by the time his treatment is complete. We will continue to keep everyone updated on his progress, treatment plan, and prognosis. Thank you so much for your continued support as we work to give Archie the care he needs and help him find his forever home. Update 12/21/24 We want to give a big shoutout to Jerry for making a Bailey Chair for Archie! Your kindness, time, and craftsmanship mean the world to us and will make such a difference in Archie’s life. Thank you for helping us help him!

The puppy looked at me and kept staring at me awhile i worked.. she never took her eyes off me and likewise I too kept her in my view it took me all but 4 hours to decide what she would do and that was go home with me PERIOD. And she did! I honestly don't know what happened with her it could be just several things due to her being so young and still a puppy. She's been vomiting at least 6 times a day since the 4th of July! She's not eating anything but drinking water and staying hydrated.... Her diarrhea has been liquids and same as vomit everytime just liquid.... I have tried ER MedVet and I'm without a income and was refused! She has been my lil girl my only child type of puppy and she's very super special to me for several reasons... One is that she's since we had started our companionship, has a gift for helping with my seizures and alerts someone to help me when I am having one... She senses my seizure before I have it and brings it to my attention to sit down or lay down or that I should calm down. She's my Life I have been living in the streets over 15 years.Until 2 months ago was housed by DHA housing voucher approved and my apartment is all bills paid. I am not working due to my voucher being approved soley off my 0 dollar income. I can't afford to pay for anything...

The doctors at VetMed - Dallas said a small part of the tip of his penis is prolapsed and corrective surgery is the only and recommended form of treatment. I am doing my best to not exacerbate the situation and control the bleeding, but he shows more and more signs of pain each day. I love Leo because he really understands what I say when I speak to him. I will be the first to admit I'm not the worlds greatest dog trainer, but I do love to talk to my dog, a little too much. He is SO smart and expressive, when you talk to him all of his thoughts go straight across his face. I love when he come up to me wanting pet and he dives into my body and starts doing front flips. I have held the same job for three years, and will continue until God tells me its time to move on. At this job, I have only received one raise over the entire three years. No bonuses. Cream Puff is a 4-year-old Pomeranian in Colleyville, TX, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Repair Broken Jaw.

Colleyville, TX • Pets Going Places

One of our rescuers recently received a call from a friend that works at a local emergency vet clinic. 4-year-old Pomeranian Cream Puff was brought into a local vet clinic after being attacked by her family’s larger dog. Cream Puff’s injuries were extensive. She had multiple puncture wounds on her throat, and her jaw was severely damaged. Cream Puff's owners loved her, but they couldn't afford the estimated $8 - 10,000 vet bill, so they requested that she be euthanized. While the clinic prepared the paperwork, one of the vet techs called a dog rescue friend and asked if she could save this otherwise healthy, sweet-tempered girl. The rescuer called us, and we couldn't stand to see Cream Puff put down, so we said yes. Cream Puff is a very special girl. Despite all the pain she had to be in, she quickly became a favorite with the staff of the clinics that she was brought to. While waiting for hours to be seen by the emergency vet, she nudged hands for pets and gave kisses. Cream Puff's injuries were extensive. She went to three emergency vets. The first one cleaned the gashes and puncture wounds on her throat and head. The second gave her more liquid meds for pain. Finally the third vet was able to assess and x-ray her jaw. Her jaw was broken in a complicated spot. The surgeon was able to repair the break with a plate. CP is expected to recover completely. We are a small rescue transport. We don't have a lot of supporters or financial backing. We operate completely through donations and keep our expenses low. Although this expense is astronomical for us, Cream Puff is so worth it! Hopefully, she'll soon bring joy to a family.

In October of last year, we decided that it was time for us to get a family pet. Kids were old enough and I was working from home and alone most of the day. We went into a pet and saw several that we liked but when Viper was brought to us it just felt that he was the missing part of our family. We is super friendly and amazing with kids, so we brought him home. Viper is kennel trained, he stays in his kennel in our living room for two hours and is out playing for 2-3 hours and back in the kennel. In November of last year a family member got really sick and has been in and out of hospital. I has been very hard but Viper made things better. He helped our family take our mind off the hard situation. Viper has show our family unconditional love. Viper is pretty mellow. He is not a barker. He will only bark if "strangers" come near us and he's standing next to us, but once he sees we talk to them and we hug or shake hands with them they become like family to him as well and shows them the same love he shows us. He loves his broccoli, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, peanut butter and bananas among other things. Viper completes our family. Viper has been healthy the entire 6 months that he has been part of our lives. he will be 10 months on the 25th and unfortunately ate a hard plastic bone on Thursday the 14th. he is currently at Vet Med Dallas waiting for an Endoscopy to remove pieces that are stuck in his esophagus and stomach. He was seen here in Tyler by his Vet as well as the Animal ER but needs surgery urgently. His treatment has not been cheap and this was very unexpected. We've paid over 7k out of pocket so far but still has more medical expenses. He may need additional time in the hospital to recover and that is very expensive. Lucy is a three-month-old Maltese mix in Dallas, TX, who needs $2000 for hospitalization due to Parvo.

Dallas, TX • Pooch Savers Rescue

Pooch Savers knew rescuing Lucy would be an expensive undertaking, but without their help, she would die. "A lady called us and said she bought a puppy from a backyard breeder," Scott B., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "The puppy came with Parvo. The woman could not afford the pup's care." Scott says the woman tried to call the breeder but could not get an answer. "She told me she thought long and hard about getting the dog from this breeder, and she did it against her better judgment," he says. "She knew the risks associated with a breeder who had no papers for the dog, and the pup didn't have any vaccinations. You're really taking a gamble." Pooch Savers raced the pup to Med Vet animal hospital, where Lucy is fighting for her life, receiving round-the-clock care and IV fluids. Parvo is a virus, so veterinarians can only offer supportive care and medications to treat her symptoms. "She's such a young, innocent life that almost didn't have a chance to live through no fault of her own, due to the dereliction of others," Scott adds. Pooch Savers wasn't planning on taking on this massive expense, but they could not say no to this sweet puppy. The group is hoping the Waggle community will also help come to Lucy's rescue. "It's given us tremendous confidence that we have Waggle as a strong ally," Scott says. "We are so thankful for you all. We know we aren't alone out there." Please donate to help Lucy live!

I love her so much, I’m off all anxiety and anti depressants because of her love. I lost my Job in December and unemployment barely covers just the basic bills It’s just Mitzi and I. She’s very attached to me and vise versa. She is scared of most men for some reasons but loves to chase other dogs. She enjoys road trips as well. She loves kids and interacts with my parents and nephews great! Mitzi loves to sleep, loves the bed and loves to burrow under the covers. Lost my job in December due to pandemic. To have Mitzi healthy again would make my world complete again. I’ve gotten off all meds just by having her and we just need a little bit of help right now Mitzi was bit by a deer tick when visiting my family in Tennessee over the holidays. She shakes constantly, is very distant and lethargic and doesn’t even want my company at the moment. This started a few days ago and she let me pull the tick out but won’t cuddle, won’t acknowledge me and is very lethargic and week. Current vet passed away so we use Dallas emergency animal Vet Mitzi has anxiety and separation anxiety issues that requires medication. Mitzi cannot be away from me with panic. Even in the car she must sit on my lap and if I run into the store or leave her with a friend she freaks out and shakes non stop. It’s goes to show just how special our bond is. Mitzi loves treats and the way she chews them is too cute.

I got Oliver as a puppy from the Collin County Humane Society. He was a very sick and neglected puppy as his litter was finally released to the Humane Society since they were mutts while the rest of the dogs in this family were Border Collies. Living despicable conditions Oliver came to me with Giardia, every kind of worm and Sarcoptic Mange which I contracted from him. Oliver had been with me for 10 years and it has been just the two of us the entire time. I am single with no children so far so Oliver has been my child. I take him everywhere as Dallas is a dog friendly city. He has gone to the park across the street to play with his friends everyday of his life. Oliver is definitely a Momma’s boy and follows me everywhere. I am single so I pay for everything myself. I work on commission and because of the pandemic I have barely made any money this year and don’t know when I get paid again. I will do anything to fight this terrible and unfair disease as Oliver is my everything. Oliver was diagnosed August 18, 2020 with Osteosarcoma in his left ulna. Luckily he was able to have leg sparing surgery to remove the tumor and is also a participant in the Yale Vaccine Trial. Medvet performed his surgery and treating his cancer. His oncologist is Dr. Bobbi McQuowan. He has had three chemo treatments and is to have three more. Oliver is extremely close with my parents and my sister. He cries, run and jumps on them every time he see them, which is a lot. He is the smartest dog I have ever seen and I am told that quite often. His knowledge and actions amaze me everyday. My family and I call him Rainman because he has to have the same schedule everyday and he does not like change. He cries if anything is out of place.
