Tempest
Tempest is a 9 year old German Shepherd Dog in Spring, , who needs $9,000 for Definitive Radiation and IV Chemotherapy.
Spring
Tempest and her littermate sister, Eris, were welcomed into our home when they were just nine weeks old. Together, they were thick as thieves and partners in crime. Tragically, we later lost Eris to Degenerative Myelopathy. This past December, I suffered another profound loss with the unexpected passing of my former partner, who was doggy dad and one of my closets friend. She was referred to an endocrinologist and diagnosed with anal gland sarcoma. She underwent surgery to remove approximately 85% of the diseased tissue, along with affected pelvic and abdominal lymph nodes. While a new chest nodule has been identified, there is currently no evidence of metastasis to her lungs and organs. She is receiving care at Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital in College Station. Tempest is a gentle soul who brings comfort everywhere she goes. As an unofficial therapy dog, she spent years easing patients' anxiety and loneliness, always making everyone feel truly seen. At home, this sweet German Shepherd has a quirky side—she’s hilariously bossed around by a tiny Chihuahua, is obsessed with laser pointers, loves stealing pillows, and is a dedicated squirrel watcher. Despite my daily job search, finances are exhausted. I’ve maxed out credit cards for Tempest’s surgery, labs, and the long, recurring trips to her oncologist. Losing her daddy in December nearly broke me; Tempest is my "ride or die" who helped me survive that storm. She save

Tempest
Tempest is a 9 year old German Shepherd Dog in Spring, , who needs $20,000 for Aggressive Radiation, IV Chemo, and Oral Chemo.
Spring
My former partner and I acquired her and her littermate, Eris, concurrently. Regrettably, Eris was euthanized due to Degenerative Myelopathy. Last December, I experienced the unexpected loss of my former partner, who was also my closest confidant. We have cared for her since she was approximately nine weeks old. She resided with my former partner full-time until I assumed full-time care in 2024. She was was not eating, losing weight. Her calcium was high and phosphorus was low. They sent a referral to endocrinologist. There was diagnosed with Anal gland sarcoma. She has had surgery to remove about 85% diseased tissue with pelvic/abdomenlymphnodes. She has a chest nodule that is new. No metastasis to lungs or other organs. Where ever she goes, she brings joy, love and help ease people's anxiety and sadness. She would go to work at a medical office. She would help ease patient's anxiety, depression or loneliness. She makes you feel loved and noticed. At home, she is ruled over by my mom's chihuahua. She has unhealthy obsession with laser pointers and treats. She loves stealing pillows and squirrel watching. Applying for jobs daily, no callbacks. I have maxed out my credit cards to help pay for meds, food, surgery, and appts, and labs. Gas to see our oncologist is 1.5-2 hrs away. My ex. My best friend. Her daddy died unexpectedly this past Dec. I nearly didnt survive that loss.

Izzie
Izzie is a 3 month old Pomeranian in Wortham, TX, who needs $8,000 for PDA Surgery.
Wortham, TX
I breed Pomeranians. This is my first and only puppy from my adults. Her name is Izzie! We live in the country in central Texas! I have a the bedroom beautiful home with 4 adult dogs and the puppy Izzie. They have freedom to be outside where I live and full food and water so day long! All the toys they could ask for AB’s all the love in the world! Izzie was born January 19th! We had it first vet appointment and had shots but no puppy check due to an emergent surgery for another dog. When we went for our second set of shots we did the vet check and she let me know that my poor sweet Izzie had a PDA and would need a heart surgery. We’re looking into getting the heart surgery done at the small animal hospital at Texas atm university in Bryan Izzie is an absolute bundle of joy! She kept a smile on my whole families faces. She rides every where with me and goes shopping with us and gets the paparazzi tour everywhere we go! She absolutely loves to play and bark as much as she can. She has all this SASS in such a tiny little puff ball body. She is glued to sitting in mom’s lap & gets mad when she doesn’t get her way! The cost of the PDA surgery is anywhere from 6K-8K and my family just doesn’t have the funds. We love our Izzie so very much and want her to spend a long life with us! She brings such joy to our family and we just can’t sit back and wait for her to pass way.

Gizmo
Gizmo is a 10 year old Shih Tzu in Hearne, TX, who needs $6,500 for Perineal Hernia Surgery.
Hearne, TX
I rescued Gizmo in 2015 during the winter. My neighbor had him outside on the cold and he was only a baby. I took him in, bathe him and gave him a good hair cut. His hair was all matted and he had mud all over. That winter it was freezing cold. Gizmo has a character that is adorable. He will stand on his hind legs and with his 2 front paws he will wave at you. Wags his tail and won me over. Gizmo has a perineal hernia on his hind back end. My vet doesn’t do that type of surgery. They recommend A&M vet. I can’t afford the $5000 to $6500 to have it done. That type of hernia can obstruct the bladder as well as the intestines. He has gotten to where he can’t pass bowels so he is on laxatives and can barely get relief. Some days he is in pain that he howls. Gizmo is the sweetest loving dog that always is ready to be playful. He loves outside. He greets you at the door with wagging tail. He knows the first thing I do is pick him up and hug him and talk to him. He waves with his front paws and talking to you. He snuggles so good. I have no pet insurance nor the funds as I just had an expense with my yorkie in June and lost him after 14 years. My hours at work have been cut. I can’t bare to lose another pet after losing my yorkie. Gizmo is only 10 he has so many more years left. He is my best friend.

T.K.
T.K. is a 7 month old Mix-Breed in Bryan, TX, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Repair of Recurrent Hernia.
Bryan, TX
TK was born March 12, 2025 to an abandoned female dog we rescued. She has lived with us since birth. She is 1 of only 2 females in a litter of 12 puppies. While getting spayed her bladder was nicked, which led to her incision having to be enlarged to repair the damage. She suffered complications, resulting in hospitalization and 3 more surgeries. She has developed a large abdominal wall hernia allowong a portion of her bowel to come through. She requires additional surgery. She is being treated at Texas A & M University's small animal hospital. TK is a very sweet girl, the only remaining female amongst 6 brothers. Before the surgery she was very active and lively. She loved to mother her brothers. She loves head scratches and anything she can chew on. She loves to lay in the sun and spend time with her mother (who is an outside dog) and wrestle with her siblings. When taking TK to get spayed we were not expecting to have these complication. Her surgeries have amounted to $7,000 we are struggling to pay on a limited income. We only want her to have a chance at a happy, healthy life.

Trooper
Trooper is a 14 year old Border Collie in Dime Box, , who needs $2,000 for Radiation and Cancer Treatments.
Dime Box
"Be like Trooper!" That is how I'll begin his story. He came into my life 1 day when he was turned into a shelter as a young puppy while I was there. That sweet baby was left all by himself. I went back to the shelter a couple hours later to adopt him. He ended up contracting kennel cough while there. He never once whined or ever so much as whimpered. when he was sick so he was a "Trooper" My sweet boy started showing issues with breathing out of his right nostril. We went to our vet and began ruling out several thoughts of what it could be for the next few months. One day he had a nose bleed that wouldn't stop for a while. Went to Texas A&M for CT testing and found out that he has a cancerous tumor taking over his right side of his sinus cavity. He has to see oncology at TAMU This boy of mine has never had a complaint in his life. Fighting cancer and arthritis doesn't stop Trooper from enjoying his evening romps. He loves to go for rides in the car and used to love to swim. We could learn to "be like Trooper" with not showing a care in the world despite all odds. I know my boy has alot of life left and loves his pup cups and evening romps. Trooper is fighting his cancer. I'm just hoping that maybe we could find a little relief with what's been spent already and what we will be facing. I'm hoping to be able to maybe give him supportive care with meds and radiation to help shrink the tumor

Mushu
Mushu is a 11 year old Doberman Pinscher in Caldwell, TX, who needs $800 for Radiation Therapy.
Caldwell, TX
Mushu came into my life when he was 1 week old. He came in with 6 other brothers and sisters because the breeder could no longer take care of them. 11 years ago I went home with 7 puppies, a new respect for parents, and a long road ahead to keep them alive and healthy. He now lives with two little girls, two other dobermans and a staffy mix that love him dearly. Mushu was diagnosed with lung cancer, and has a mass in his abdomen we think caused the metastasis. Texas A&M is willing to try radiation therapy to help with his quality of life. He is also getting acupuncture and red laser therapy to help with his pain. He is also receiving gabapentin to help control his pain, as his kidney disease does not allow for many other medications. He LOVES the sprinkler and the hose. He always 'attacks' the hose and would rather drink from running water than just a plain bowl. Since he is a bottle baby he still sucks on a blanket for comfort and sleeps at the end of my bed.. mind you he is 100# and takes up 1/4 of the bed, but I can't sleep without him there. His cancer diagnosis came suddenly as we only went in for what seemed to be hip pain, then the xray showed cancer in his lungs. We were not prepared to spend our savings on this old man, but with our 3 yr old and 8 yr old also so attached we have to try.

Benji
Benji is a 8 year old Bichon Frisé in Waco, TX, who needs $2,000 for Pulmonary Lobectomy (open-chest surgery).
Waco, TX
Benji is a sweet rescue who’s been my shadow and best friend for 7 amazing years. We live with my sister and her 12-year-old Pomeranian—his partner in crime. They share snacks, play tag around the house, and have full-on “conversations.” He’s my heart dog and my everyday joy. Benji has been diagnosed with a large cancerous lung mass. Texas A&M’s oncology team recommends surgery to ease his breathing and improve his quality of life. Without it, his condition will likely worsen, leading to further decline in comfort and respiratory function. Benji is sweet, loyal, and a little sassy—he’ll give you side-eye if you get near his food, but he’s terrified of mail being opened because he doesn't trust the mailman. He is full of personality and is the best cuddle buddy. He brings so much laughter and love to our home and is truly one of a kind. I’m doing my best to balance college, work, bills, & caring for my family after the recent loss of my grandfather. Benji’s cancer diagnosis has been emotionally & financially overwhelming. Having him healthy again would mean the world—he’s my comfort, my constant & my heart.

Milo
Milo is a 8 year old Maine Coon in Austin, TX, who needs $2,000 for CT Scan and Jaw Surgery.
Austin, TX
I have been Milo's guardian since he was just a tiny little kitten. We have moved a couple of times and he has always embraced and accepted the changes. He is the most chilled out guy there ever has been. Everywhere he goes he attracts everyone with his charm and want of attention. He loves to be the center of attention. He is my best friend, and my most loyal companion. My mom visited with her dog who is normally calm. This time was different and her dog attacked Milo while he was going for his food. The attack left him with a broken jaw. I took him to the hospital and got him treated as much as I could afford. He is on some very strong pain medications now. Luckily he is eating without issue. The hospital says he needs a specialist at the Texas A&M Vet Hospital. Milo is a giant lap cat, he is the sweetest and most affectionate cat ever. He is simply just wonderful in every single way. He loves attention, he loves everyone he meets. He only knows how to love. Even in his current condition, he is still full of love and affection for all. Everywhere he goes he draws in everyone and gives back all the love he gets. He gets so happy when I come home from work. I am a postal worker I don't make enough for this surgery. 3-5thousand dollars for the CT scan, up to $7,000 for the surgery. I really need the help. Milo is EVERYTHING to me, he is the one constant in my life. Milo lets me know everyday that he loves me so much. This hurts.

Buster
Buster is a 6 year old Australian Shepherd in New Waverly, TX, who needs $2,000 for Botox for Facial Tic & Upper Palate Reconstruction.
New Waverly, TX
I rescued Buster and his brother, Chuka, from a severely neglectful situation in September 2024. Buster was covered in mats and sticker burrs. They lived on a porch full of trash and debris (even though Buster is blind and has difficulty navigating) and "whenever they come up to me and look hungry, I just put some food on the ground." The owner said "I am just not a dog person". Buster had to have his snout bone and all but 2 of his teeth removed do to trauma related to FIREWORKS. He also SURVIVED DISTEMPER as a pup. After surgery, his lingerin facial tic caused four holes in the roof of his mouth that lead into his nasal cavity. Each time he eats/drinks, the food/water goes into his sinuses. This has caused 2 infections and will eventually result in aspiration pneumonia. Buster is such a fighter. After everything he has been through, he has done nothing but smile and ask for loves from the moment we rescued him. Though he hurts his nose every time he runs into something, he is the most adventurous pup, and he always has this silly grin. He takes such good care of his Chuka brother and is a fierce protector of his mommy. Between Chuka's surgery to have his leg fixed (who had been run over, his leg broken, and NOTHING done to fix it) and Buster's surgery for his nose and teeth, while caring for my 13 year old cat that is in kidney failure, I have exhausted my savings and run up my only credit
Grace
Grace is a 17 month old French Bulldog in Cleveland , TX, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Repair of Tibia and Fibula.
Cleveland, TX
Meet Grace (aka Gracie). We also call her “Little Bit “(of Honey) She was gifted to my husband and I about 7 months ago, by some dear friends. She didn’t come into this world very easily, as she was stuck in the birth canal. By God’s Grace, she was rescued from certain death. On 12/12/24 12th, she came in our house from the back yard, limping and in pain. (fenced) We have no idea how the injury occurred. My husband immediately took to an Urgent Vet clinic and was told she has “complete comminuted tibial and fibular fracture of the right hindlimb”, requiring referral to an Orthopedic Specialist, which recommends surgery with implants. Gracie is a love bug! She is very affectionate, high spirited, very playful, and comical. We love her little personality! She’s more of a Daddy’s Girl. She loves to cuddle in your lap and pass out snoring. She’s super smart and loves attention from anyone and everyone. It’s sad to see her spirit broken due to needing to be confined to her crate. She’s been in a splint and now a cast. Surgery is necessary. We don’t want to euthanize her. The cost is between $7-$10k. We’ve paid over $2k in costs in treatment thus far. We’re working with Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital. We need help with the remaining balance after we pay the 50% deposit ($5k).

Bentley
Bentley is a 1 year old French Bulldog in Austin, TX, who needs $2,000 for Hiatal Hernia surgery.
Austin, TX
Bentley came into our lives unexpectedly as part of an accidental litter. He just turned one on October 25th, While he’s our only pet at home, Bentley has a special bond with his best friend, a Great Dane, at his grandparents’ house, and the two of them are inseparable. As for his name, it came to us randomly one evening. After tossing around different names Bentley just fits him perfectly. Two months ago, Bentley had a seizure while vomiting. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and an esophageal hernia. He healed quickly, but recently had another episode. The doctors say he needs surgery to remove the hernia, or he’ll continue suffering. We’re asking for help to afford the surgery and give Bentley the healthy life he deserves. The surgery would be done at Texas A&M Hospital. Bentley is the sweetest, most loving dog you could ever meet. His favorite thing is cuddling under the blanket, snuggled between your legs. He’s also obsessed with toys, especially his fluffy green dinosaur and any kind of ball. He even loves stealing his grandma’s dryer balls! Bentley’s gentle, playful nature brings so much joy to everyone around him. We’re facing a $6,000 bill to save Bentley’s life, an unexpected and overwhelming expense with no emergency fund. Bentley is our baby, and the thought of life without him is tearing us apart. He means the world to us, and we’re doing everything we can to help him.

Shine
Shine is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Bedias, TX, who needs $2,000 for Wound Treatment and Infection.
Bedias, TX
Shine became a part of our family a little over 8 years ago as a puppy. We rescued her from people threatening to take her to the pound. As she started to grow we realized that our original thoughts about her breed mix where way off and she was going to be a much smaller dog than we thought, and she became known as Little Baby Shine since she would always be puppy size. Shine was unexpectedly attacked by dogs that have been together throughout their lives, without any type of warning. She suffered multiple puncture wounds. After a brutally long night Shine pulled through. Unfortunately, afterwards she developed an infection which was resistant to the antibiotics she was on. She is now on new meds and we are making great progress at Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital Little Baby Shine has always been there for me. When I have a migraine she will cuddle up with me and put her head close to mine like she’s trying to take my pain.Losing my dad unexpectedly was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through and Shine would cuddle with me for hours not moving as I let out my emotions.Of course she saves me from eating my pizza crusts and the whole package of crackers too Our 1st estimate was $5k but after she made it through that night and the infection started to show then things quickly started to add up. Now her estimate is $20k but now that she’s fought through the hard part, how can I give up on her when she’s doing so much better?

Sandy
Sandy is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Bastrop, TX, who needs $2,000 for Slipped Disc.
Bastrop, TX
Sandy came into our lives last year in July 2023. I rescued her from a shelter in Abilen, Tx. Sandy is part basset hound, I’m unsure if she is full basset hound. She has one brother, Ernest, and two cat siblings. Sandy is full of life and loves to sleep in, go on car rides, belly rubs, and exploring like a basset hound. Yesterday, June 17th, 2023, I came home from work and noticed Sandy wasn’t herself. She wasn’t running around or wagging her tail. Around 4:30am she woke me up and I couldn’t get her to walk. I noticed she couldn’t put any weight on her back legs. I took her to the vet this morning and we got transferred to TX A&M veterinarian hospital but a possible slipped disc. Sandy is a lovable, goofy little girl. She’s full of life and loves everyone. She loves to howl, aka sing the song of her kind. We only had Sandy for close to a year, she has so much life in her and everyone loves her. I also suffer from back issues due to an on-the-job injury and had surgery in 2022 when I was 23 years old. I was off work for close to 5 months since I was needing reasonable accommodation and I finally returned to work on June 10th as a part time employee

Sheba
Sheba is a 9 year old German Shepherd Dog in Mt Pleasant, TX, who needs $2,000 for Spinal Cord Decompression and Stabilization.
Mt Pleasant, TX
We rescued Sheba. She was found wandering on a busy street corner, 6 weeks old. We rescued her, intending to rehome her, but fell in love with her. 9 years later, we still have her. She is the smartest, funniest, most caring, most protective, most loving, most beautiful dog I've ever had. She loves everyone who loves her, and has the most gentle disposition. Sheba needs back surgery, scheduled for 4/24. She injured herself jumping on our bed, has a spinal injury affecting her back legs, bowel and bladder function. Surgery will be at Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital. She is already losing leg strength, losing bowel bladder function/control, and her condition will progressively get worse and worse without the surgery. Sheba loves to play, her favorite is the water hose. She is terrified of thunder and fireworks. She sleeps with her feet straight up in the air. She loves her family, happiest when everyone is home. She is so smart, likes to have conversations, talking back to you, but snorting at you if you don't do what she wants. She laughs when you laugh, cuddles you when you cry or are scared. Her injury came right behind my husband having a severe cardiac scare with 3-vessel open heart surgery, then losing his job, our savings now completely gone. It breaks our heart to see her so sad when she has issues or have pain. We are praying desperately for help.

Schwartz
Schwartz is a 4.5-year-old Dachshund in Fort Worth, TX, who needs $2,000 for Hemilaminectomy.
Fort Worth, TX
Schwartz joined our family after the loss of our beloved Vespa who was my cancer companion for many years. He filled a emotional hole in my life and quickly became the center of our family. He loves walks and car rides, he goes almost everywhere with us and gets so excited seeing new people and places. Schwartz sleeps with me every night (I'm a pushover) and is my constant companion all day until my daughter gets home and kidnaps him. He lays at my feet or in my lap as I work, follows me from room.tonroom, he's never happier then when he's just being with us. Schwartz knows when I am sad, lonely, sick and acts accordingly. When we are celebrating he's infectious and dances about on his hind legs joining in on the excitement. He is our constant and we cannot imagine him contained by his mobility. Over the last few days Schwartz became paralyzed from the waist down. After a whirlwind of vet visits at Woodland Springs and sleepless nights helping him use the restroom and watching him deteriorate i was told the Dallas Surgical Center would charge almost 10k for the IVDD surgery required. The window was 3 days under specific conditions to have any type of chance, he is now at Texas A&M. My daughter and i just moved into our new apartment after a difficult family situation, I think this amount would be hard if not impossible for most people but for us right now we just overhauled our lives.

Rowen
Rowen is a 2-year-old Catahoula in Palestine, TX, who needs $2,000 for Pelvic Fracture Repair Surgery.
Palestine, TX
Rowen came into my life when I needed her the most. I tell people she was an angel sent to me from God. She is my legally certified emotional support animal. She really has saved my life. The day we brought her home we didn’t even have any intentions of getting a dog that day but the minute I laid eyes on her I fell in love and just knew she was mine and I had to bring her home. Rowen LOVES to sleep in the bed with us and cuddle right up next to my legs or sometimes lays right in my lap between my legs. She has to be as close to mom as possible. She’s incredibly intelligent. She can do several tricks including roll over on command. She loves loading up in the car and going to swim and play fetch in any body of water no matter the weather. She’s super personable. Rowen does so well with other dogs and people. She LOVES people and LOVES to play. Some people would assume she’s ferocious due to her size but contrary to belief she lays down and cowards to the tiny chihuahua weenie mix breeds we have in the house. She just wants to show how friendly she is and willing to play and share cuddles. On 3/1/2024 Rowen was playing with her best friend our neighbors dog Maverick. She crossed the road when a car was coming and was hit. We rushed her to Dr. Hardt veterinary hospital in Palestine TX and it was determined by x-ray that she has multiple pelvic fractures. We are so thankful she is alive but the injuries she sustained require surgery. I recently had my first child on 1/20/2024 and have been on maternity leave from my job without any pay. This accident is a major financial burden for me. Rowen needs the surgery so she can run, jump, and swim again.

Roxy
Roxy is a 11-year-old Dogo Argentino in Houston, TX, who needs $2,000 for Pulmonary Hypertension.
Houston, TX
We received Roxy from my husband’s co-worker. She was a surprise for my 4 year old son and 3 year old daughter. She had been our baby for 11 years, she will be 12 in March. She has 2 brothers and 1 sister. Roxy is the princess of the house. She has everyone’s heart. She’s the best dog you could ever want. Roxy is so smart and knows several tricks: sit, lay down, speak, give me paw, give me a hug and besito (kiss in Spanish) She loves with all her heart and we also love her with all our hearts. Roxy is the sweetest but also our protector. She loves to cuddle, treats, playing with her siblings, (both kids and dogs) she loves car rides but does get car sick, (sometimes) pup cups, toys (her babies). When she’s around you can feel how much she loves you. When we go to the vet she greets everyone she sees, she is the sweetest. Roxy was diagnosed with heart worms in September 2023, (she was on preventatives but still got them (we live in TX and have tons of mosquitos). Roxy was then diagnosed with a heart murmur in February 2024. The combination of both caused complications and we rushed her to TX A&M Hospital, where she was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension. Roxy is a fighter and we wish to treat her complications. Roxy’s illness is a major expense, we weren’t expecting. We have spent a lot of money on her visits, prior. Having Roxy healthy again will mean the world to my family. Roxy is the love of our lives. There is not one thing we wouldn’t do to help her make a complete recovery.

Noah
Noah is a 2-year-old English Golden Retriever in Montgomery , TX, who needs $2,000 for Exploratory Surgery.
Montgomery, TX
I Purchased Noah from a breeder. I had taken 12 years before I decided to get a pet before I decided to seek one out. I believe that people should be prepared for pets when they get them, and have time for them as well. This was a big decision for me, a decision I will never regret making. Noah has brought such joy to my life and companionship. But also to my grandkids as well. Noah is a very docile and loving dog. He is very emotional. He always wants to be in the middle of the mix. When he’s sick, he still shows the same dedication and wants to be near you. He is very friendly with other pets as well. Noah knows no strangers. I have a group of ladies that walk down the street and he’s always eager to see them when they walk by. He is even brought Joy to their walks. Noah is a very sweet dog. He just wants to be near you. He loves the water. He is a country dog. He likes to play with the pony as well. Noah is a protective dog and always has that look on his face as if he is concerned about you. He’s definitely loved by many people. I would like to have him be a companion dog one day as he is so calm and loving. My grandson says he likes to eat sticks. He is being treated at Animal Hospital of Montgomery in Montgomery Texas. Noah is living day by day on borrow time, facing the possibility of septicemia-so. He has a mast in his large intestine. The vet said he needs to be in surgery as soon as possible as he is hurting. I was not prepared for this event. I have no savings to afford the surgery. I live a very frugal life and not a big spender. The cost so far has been $1300 and I have exhausted almost all of my funds available. The vet said it doesn’t matter where I have surgery just to get

Hondo
Hondo is a 14-year-old Chihuahua in College Station, TX, who needs $2,000 for Oral Surgery.
College Station, TX
We’ve had hondo since he was a baby. He is our baby. My little sister named him when she was a toddler. We have no idea what she was trying to say but she said something that sounded like “my baby hondo” and it stuck. Hondo loves snuggling in bed with us and will kick at the door if he accidentally gets locked out. He is a stinker and loves to play fight and can have such an attitude (he’s a chihuahua what do you expect lol). He has small plush toys that he loves to snuggle with and loves to run around with (but only on HIS terms) so you never know when he’s going to get a burst of energy to play. Hondo has learned to press his dinner button to ask for food! They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but hondo learned that at 13 years old! He has such a big personality for a small boy. Hondo unfortunately was diagnosed with a tumor on his tongue. This will require surgery to remove the tumor and then will most likely need to be followed up with radiation. He also has a heart murmur that will require additional monitoring during treatment. He will be treated at Texas A&M’s small animal hospital. Surgery and additional care like this can be up to $10,000. They don’t take payment plans and require payment upfront. The tumor remained the same size for a while, but has recently increased. I am so scared for my baby and am not ready to lose him.

Daisy Mae Doyle
Daisy Mae is a 5-month-old Chiweenie in Bulverde, TX, who needs $2,000 for Thoracic Duct Ligation to Treat Chylothorax.
Bulverde, TX
We had just put down my son's 90lb dog due to serious aggressive behavior. He was distraught. My friend posted on FB she had chiweenies. We visited the puppies, & fell in love with Daisy. She was the smallest of the litter & the only brindle. She instantly drew to my son, played & snuggled with him. We knew we were in love. We took her & her brother as they played constantly while we were there. Daisy is a little spunky feisty chiweenie. She loves to play with her toys and works for treats! She is a little spitfire when it comes to playing with her brother Duke. Although, he is bigger, she is the boss. She loves to protect the yard from the deer, well and anyone or thing...However, one step toward her and she runs for cover! She loves to get in grandma's lap and snuggle. She is Cayden's (son's) babygirl. She is immediately all over him when when he comes home from school, and constantly roaming the house looking for him when he is out of sight. She loves squeaky toys and playing tug o war with all the dogs in the house. Our 130lb dog is also one of her bestest friends. When she gets excited she bounces around like a cat! Her and Duke always play tag together. Daisy began having trouble breathing a week or so ago. I finally had to take her to ER because she just could not catch a breath. They found and drained 30 ml of fluid from one side of her chest & diagnosed her with Chylothorax. We have since tried medical management to no avail. She will have to undergo surgery on Monday in order to survive. She is currently in the best hands at the TX Vet School The surgery that she needs is estimated at $10k at Texas A&M Veterinary School of Medicine. Other estimates we received were $12 - $13K dollar. This is a huge burden on our family at this time. But we have to save our Daisy Mae. We can't let my son lose another fur baby.

Rosie
Rosie is a 16-month-old Australian Cattle Dog in College Station, TX, who needs $2,000 for Broken Leg Surgery.
College Station, TX
My little girl Rosie came into my life from a bad situation. She was hit by a car and transported by animal control to a local shelter. At this shelter she was sent to an incompetent vet who misdiagnosed her broken leg with a muscle sprain. She was then adopted out to my neighboring apartment owner and continued to get worse as it was untreated. Rosie has her own little family with my boyfriend, myself and her older sister Summer. She always wants to play with Summer but I haven't been able to let her because of her injury. Most days she likes to cuddle and give kisses, but she is starting to shutdown because of the pain. She loves to visit my family down in Houston,Texas and see all of the cows on the drive down. Rosie loves to jam her nose into me whenever she wants to go outside. While we are sleeping, she will step on me and constantly boop me when she wants to play or go on the balcony. Rosie decided to teach her sister that as well and know they both love to wake me up that way almost every single morning since I have had her. Rosie was hit by a car and left on the side of the road until she was picked up by animal control and helped. Rosie does have a displaced break in her right elbow so she would need surgery to help correct that since her previous vet did not catch it. I have been currently taking to TAMU small vet since I am a full time animal science college major at TAMU. I am currently paying for college since my dad was in the military and my mom is a special needs teacher. I do work a job but it barely pays for my rent let alone her vet bills. It would mean he world to me to be able to see Rosie playing with her sister, and being a puppy.

Riley
Riley is an 8-year-old Texas Blue Lacy in Dallas, TX, who needs $1,900 for cancer treatment.
Dallas, TX
Sometimes you pick your dog -- and sometimes your dog picks you! The latter is what happened to Brian H. "Seven years ago, she walked through the front door of my house," Brian tells Waggle. "A sweet pup who was likely dumped. We instantly connected, and she has been by my side every day since." Riley has been with Brian through some really tough times. He's fighting stage four cancer. She has given him great comfort and strength. But Brian just got more devastating news, now Riley has cancer! "I am fighting for her, just as she fought for me," Brian says. Brian is struggling to afford the radiation treatments Riley needs to fight her mast cell tumor. He's been on disability since he was first diagnosed with renal cancer. "I had surgery to remove my right kidney and received targeted radiation on both lungs," Brian says. "Disability doesn't pay much, and the medical bills piled up." Please help Brian and Riley this holiday season fight their battles with cancer.

Batty
Batty is a 4-year-old Bully Mix in Magnolia, TX, who needs $2,000 for Orthopedic Surgery.
Magnolia, TX
Batty was found dragging himself across a street in Houston after presumably being hit by a car. The trauma he experienced left him temporarily paralyzed waist down. When his owner was found, they told us they did not want him back, which absolutely broke out hearts. This defenseless and injured dog had no one and suddenly we had to be his hope. We're determined to see him through this. Batty is a sweet boy who desperately wants to play with the other pets in our home. Unfortunately due his condition, he is restricted to his own bedroom that we call "the dog loft." We often pet sit and this room is the designated room for visiting dogs. Now it's Batty's suite. When you enter a room for Batty, he lights up, his tail dances and he yearns to give you kisses. Despite the cards that Batty has been dealt, he has remained immensely loving since day one. He has all the reason to shy away from people and yet he leans into us like we've been best friends forever. Batty's ears say it all. When he is feeling his best, his ears perk straight up like personal antennas. Batty has a pelvic fracture that needs surgery to relieve the pain he is experiencing and hopefully regain the use of his back legs. His prognosis is good; however, the surgery is going to be complicated. Luckily Batty is admitted to an animal hospital, where he can be seen by the orthopedic surgeons. Batty came to us unexpectedly. The total estimate for Batty's surgery is $8,000. We have already used our emergency funds to cover $2,000 just to have him stabilized and hospitalized for the first 48 hours.

Tegan
Tegan is a 14-year-old Chihuahua in Spring, TX, who needs $1,304 for cancer treatment.
Spring, TX
Sharese V., and her dog Tegan, can't seem to catch a break. When Tegan was a puppy, she was diagnosed with three mast cell tumors. She underwent multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and won that battle with cancer. Now, 13 years later, Tegan has cancer again. This time she's battling stage three carcinoma in her mammary glands. Sharese tells Waggle Tegan has a great team helping her at Texas A&M University's veterinary hospital, but she's struggling to pay the medical bills for Tegan's treatment which are around $7000. "I am currently between jobs but interviewing," Sharese says. "I will do whatever it takes to save her life. Words can't describe what she means to me." Tegan first came into Sharese's life 14 years ago. The first day Sharese had Tegan, she cried all night, and so did Sharese because she thought Tegan hated her! But soon after that, the pair became inseparable. As Sharese writes this, Tegan is right next to her. She is the most lovable Chihuahua. Sharese launched this fundraiser for Tegan, hoping those who read it might "pay it forward" and help Tegan win her battle cancer once again. "Thank you to family, friends, and strangers for your love and support," Sharese says.
