Bailey
Bailey is a 4 year old Golden Retriever in Locust Grove, VA, who needs $2,000 for Radiation Therapy- Definitive Fraction.
Locust Grove, VA
Our Bailey girl came into our lives in March 2020. We got her when she was just nine weeks old. Bailey is now four years old and has been a huge part of our family. She has two other doggy siblings and an old man cat. Back in July we had taken our girl in for a check up. We had also had concern for an ear infection. We were given antibiotics for the ear infection to which we then noticed her nose started to bleed. We have been going back-and-forth to different doctors trying to figure out what was causing the nosebleed about two months ago. We got the news that our girl has nasal carcinoma. Our girl is a go with the flow, all loving, daddy’s girl. She enjoys car rides and hates being left behind. She is the sweetest, most loving dog we have ever owned. Being that this is a very unexpected cost in our life. We will do whatever we have to for our girls radiation treatments. But any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm odie you can also call me smo or smodie. A few months ago I started feeling bad but didn't know why, my parents took me to the Dr many times, I also had 18 teeth pulled, but I just kept getting sicker and sicker and no longer was able to do any of my favorite things, then they told my parents they found lymphoma, they cried allot so I know it must be bad, but they promised me to help me They took me 3 1/2 hours away to a place called oncology service of Richmond where fetch a cure promised to help with 1000 monthly for chemo treatment, but my parents say they still need 700 a month for that, and that the family member that so graciously helped me to get this far and get me diagnosed unfortunately don't have the funds to keep helping, and my parents have very little money. I had 1 treatment so far, they spent all the bill money on me and now are behind, they said I would not make it long if they didn't, but I feel soo much better already! My tail wags more now and I been doing my favorite things again! And been giving lots of belly love and kisses to let them know how thankful I am. But they said they don't have the funds to keep helping me without your help. it's 90 % chance of remission to be with my family a year or longer, it would mean the world to me and them to spend more time together and get lots of love and lots of fun and do lots more fishing my favorite! I have a video to show you what a good fisher I am.

Mars
Mars is a 9-year-old Mixed - Chow Chow/Boxer/Supermutt in Spotsylvania, VA, who needs $2,000 for Radiation and Chemotherapy.
Spotsylvania, VA
Mars entered my life on October 26, 2022, after I found her at the Fredericksburg SPCA in Spotsylvania, VA. I didn't know where she came from or what her story was, but I did know that she was the one for me. At 8 years old, she just needed a calm, quiet home to enjoy her retirement. Nowadays, we are rarely apart from one another. I cannot imagine what life would be like without her! Mars is the sole furry companion in my home, aside from a betta fish in his tank. She reigns supreme, holding court over her kingdom with grace and affection. She is very protective of her family at-home but is a serene mistress when out-and-about. Mars is also a creature of comfort, finding solace in the warmth of her dog tent and bed or bite of roasted sweet potato. Mars has collected a variety of nicknames, ranging from Miss Mars to Mars Bars (like the candy, after her stripes), that reflect the various facets of her personality - from poised to playful mischief. She loves her snuffle mats and long naps. She used to love long walks, but since her vision loss, is a little more fearful of the outside world. At home, though, she reigns supreme. The journey to restore Mars's health is twofold - to eradicate the cancer that threatens her well-being and to ensure her quality of life for the years ahead. While her eye has been removed and the tumor partially excised, the road to recovery entails combined radiation and chemotherapy. Despite the uncertainties, Mars's prognosis is promising, and my sole focus is comfort and happiness. The financial burden of Mars's medical treatment weighs heavily on my shoulders, as does my limited income and growing debt from her previous veterinary expenses. When it comes to the cost of cancer treatment, which is no small amount, every little bit helps!

Rocco
Rocco is a 6-year-old Boston Bulldog in Mechanicsville, VA, who needs $1,700 for Chemotherapy.
Mechanicsville, VA
We bought him from a store front and we knew he was the one the way he jumped up and locked eyes with us. Rocco is our first pet, and we named him Rocco because rocky was too regular of a name at the time so we changed it. He is a Boston terrier bulldog mix and is 45 pounds, and small but mighty. Rocco is the little brother to my 16 year old son. He is the king of the house. Where ever there is a comfy blanket or a heating pad, there’s Rocco! He knows to to lock those eyes with you and get his favorite treat! He loves long walks in the neighborhood and watching out the front door for passers by. Rocco waits at the door for my son every afternoon off the bus. When Rocco walks into a room, whether it be the doctor, or store or family, he plops down in the middle of the floor and waits for all the love….. he knows he’s a magnet of adorableness! He loves kids and whenever we go for a walk he stops and lets them all love on him and he’s so good around them. Rocco was diagnosed with mast cell cancer at age 5 and 1/2 and had it removed. A month later all his lymph nodes started swelling and we had him tested he is positive for lymphoma high grade. Without chemotherapy his life expectancy is 2-4 months. His bill total is $15,000. We already put out $4000 for his mast cell removal and testing. He is a good doggy and doesn’t deserve to go at such a young age of 6….. the bills are just too much to handle.

Dakota
Dakota is a 8-year-old Labrador Retriever in Moseley, VA, who needs $2,000 for Vinlablastine.
Moseley, VA
I’m not sure where to start. I met you in January of 2016, right after I started dating your daddy. You were freshly turned 1, and the most gentle, sweet animal that I had ever encountered, ESPECIALLY since my family always had labs growing up. I fell in with you just as quickly as your daddy, and that summer at the beach, I learned of your love for the ocean, salty, wind blown hair, you were there for us when God unexpectedly blessed us with your baby sister. You laid with me while I threw up for months and were just as confused as I was on why our family was so angry. Most of all, you never left my side, except to go with your daddy. you were there the night that daddy and I got married. you were there with me through all the tears and laboring hours until your sister arrive Dakota LOVED duck hunting with daddy. Dakota is a highly trained duck retrieval dog. Daddy died on March 29, 2021. Then our family cat unexpectedly died from “saddle thrombosis” at only 7 years old, 2 days before Christmas. Dakota never left my side. Let me cry gallons of tears and stared at me with understanding eyes, even when my grandmother died in May 2022, She was there, with me, always. Dakota will have a grade III/high grade mast cell tumor excised from the right ventral lateral thorax with 8-10mm margins. rec is vinblastine, after the first 4 weekly treatments, get another spleen cytology sample. If she is in a cytologic remission, we continue. If cytology still questionable, rec splenectomy or switching care plan to palladia or CCNU when we came to the oncology center there was hope but then I could not even afford the $1336 first bill, after $1,000 surgery bill already, but the look on my 5 year olds face when I told her Kota was very sick, I knew I had to fight for her. She is only 8 & is no dog to us

Pac
Pac is a ten-year-old Labrador mix in Chester, VA, who needs $1,500 for cancer treatment.
Chester, VA
Pac has been a member of Genice G.'s family for ten years. Recently Pac seemed depressed and wasn't quite himself. At first, the family thought it was because his brother, General, passed away suddenly. "We could see that he was sad after his brother died," Genice tells Waggle. But then they learned Pac had lymphoma! "We noticed his activity level fell significantly. Laying, getting up, and walking became very painful for him. He had swollen lymph nodes under his neck and also below his buttocks on his legs. Our vet referred us right away to The Oncology Service Richmond with Dr. Waite and her team to help give Pac a fighting chance," Genice says. Genice and her family are rushing to raise the money for Pac to have chemotherapy. "Treatment is expensive," Genice adds. "We want to give him the best chance of survival. We are so close, he is already showing signs of remission, and with successful treatment, he can survive." Please help give Pac a fighting chance to kick cancer! "Pac is special to us because we love him dearly; although stoic, he will still want to engage us, he is resilient and such a good boy," Genice says. "Never any trouble, just pure love, and silliness. Everyone falls in love with him. Against the odds, he survived a complicated birth, a very bad experience at a kennel, a leg injury, and the loss of his lifelong companion. We are not giving up on him."

Macie Gray
Macie Gray is a 4-year-old Cane Corso in Mechanicsville, VA, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy.
Mechanicsville, VA
My husband brought Macie Gray home in September 2016 at just 6 weeks old. She was the runt of the litter and not expected to survive. I woke in the middle of the night as I heard noises in the house. My husband, James, presented Macie in a pink and black polka dot collar with a bow and I couldn’t resist her cuteness despite already saying “no” to a new puppy. Macie Gray is a loyal protector which her breed is known for. She absolutely loves to play with our Sheppard mix named Myles. Despite her 100 pounds, Macie believes she is a lap dog and likes to climb on the couch into our laps. Like clockwork, she awakens me nightly to take her outside and loyally sleeps at the foot of our bed. Macie Gray is a smart dog and always knows when her Barkbox arrives. As with many of us, COVID has impacted our household with increased expenses while income decreased. No one expects their animal to get sick, much less diagnosed with cancer. We want To spend more time with her enjoyIng her doggy amazing ness. Macie completes are family! Macie Gray was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer on 7/27/20. The disease has progressed quickly. She showed no signs of illness until 7/22/20. Macie was in shape, super happy, and healthy. We have learned that this is how Lymphoma presents, one minute the animal is healthy and the next, deteriorating at a fast rate. She received her first chemo treatment on 7/29/20. Macie Gray is a wiggle waggle ball fanatic. I swear she thinks an animal is in this ball. Macie hits the ball with her paw to make it roll and the ball makes this funny noise. Then Macie sounds like she is talking to the ball and will chase this ball around the yard for hours. Her behavior is so hilarious, we have debated sending a video in to the company as advertisement and for free balls.
