Emergency C-Section Saves Frenchie Layla and her 2 puppies- They Need You Help

Miami, FL • Coco & Tubbs French and English Bulldog Rescue

Yesterday, we took in a French Bulldog mama in active labor and distress. We didn’t have a foster lined up, and our resources were already stretched — but when a life is on the line, we simply can’t say no. This situation highlights something incredibly important that many people don’t realize: French Bulldogs often cannot give birth naturally. Due to their body structure — narrow hips and large puppy heads — labor frequently requires planned C-sections. Without medical intervention, puppies can become stuck in the birth canal, putting both mom and babies at serious risk. That’s exactly what happened here. When we got the call, two puppies had already been born — and heartbreakingly, one had passed. We immediately rushed mom and the surviving puppy to the emergency vet. X-rays revealed three more puppies still inside, blocking her bladder, which had become dangerously full and close to rupturing. She needed emergency surgery immediately. The C-section saved her life — but sadly, two of the remaining puppies had already passed. One was stuck in the birth canal, and another had separated from the placenta. Only one additional puppy survived. Right now, Layla and her two surviving puppies are stable and resting. She is recovering from major surgery and caring for her babies, but the road ahead will require close monitoring and continued veterinary support. We also want to acknowledge the owners, who did the right thing. Their priority was getting her medical care as quickly as possible. They surrendered her without hesitation and agreed to surrender the puppy as well so the family wouldn’t be separated. They drove her to the ER within 20 minutes — and that quick decision saved her life. This is why education matters. French Bulldogs require: • Planned veterinary-assisted deliveries • Emergency funds for complications • Close monitoring late in pregnancy • Immediate intervention if labor stalls Without this specialized care, tragedies like this happen far too often. Your support will help cover: • Emergency C-section surgery • Diagnostics and X-rays • Hospitalization and recovery care • Medications and pain management • Care for her surviving puppies This mama did everything she could for her babies. We stepped in to save her — and now we need your help to support her recovery and give her puppies the best possible start. Every donation helps us continue rescuing dogs like her and educating the public about the realities of overbred breeds. Thank you for standing with this little family 4/18/26 Update CRITICAL UPDATE – Mama & Puppies Emergency Mama, now named Layla. This is the same mama we rushed for an emergency C-section —the one who arrived already in active labor, with one puppy gone and others still stuck inside. We had her taken straight to our emergency vets immediately because every second mattered. She made it through surgery… but now we’re facing another life-threatening complication. Our mama is severely anemic (hematocrit 19%) following her C-section. This means her body doesn’t have enough red blood cells to carry oxygen, and she now urgently needs a blood transfusion to survive. We did not let her suffer. We acted fast. And now we have to act again. Right now she needs: • Emergency blood transfusion • Intensive monitoring & post-op care • Support while she fights to recover for her babies This is the reality of rescue—critical, time-sensitive decisions to save lives that didn’t get a chance anywhere else. We urgently need donations and shares. Every dollar goes directly to her life-saving care. Every share helps us reach someone who can help. She fought to bring her puppies into this world… now we’re fighting to keep her here with them. 4/21/26 Update: Layla Post C-section complication update On Apr 18, just eight days post partum, Layla began hemorrhaging bright red blood. We immediately took her to our vet, where it was determined she had severe anemia and an infection somewhere in her body. She required an emergency blood transfusion to prevent her organs from shutting down. Of course, we ensured she received the care she needed and she was hospitalized for 2 days. In the interim, her puppies could no longer nurse from her, so they began being bottle fed formula, and our amazing foster family stepped in to provide the puppies the 24 hour care that their mom would normally give. Her hemorrhaging slowed down, but did not stop completely. Our little rescue then had a coagulation panel performed as well as set up an ultrasound to see if there may be some issues internally (rule out stump pyometra or possible busted suture) or blood clotting disorder. Layla was placed on crate rest, is stable and the hermorrhing stopped significantly. The final coagulation panel came back negative to any blood clotting disorders and the ultrasound report showed her internal sutures were in place and no other anomalies. The additional hospitalization, blood transfusion and diagnostic procedures and labs now raise the medical costs to over $6000. 5/7/26 Update: On the road to recovery On 29 April, Layla has her final blood work done and recheck exam and she is doing extremely well. She is a foster to adopt home and is being loved on by her family. Her puppies are now almost a month and are growing rapidly. Unfortunately because Layla was week from the anemia and had an infection in her body, the puppies were not able to continue nursing. Both puppies are with fosters where they are being bottlefed. Layla and her 2 puppies all had hookworms and have been dewormed; I'm sure the hookworms also contributed to Layla's anemia. While Layla is out of the woods, our little rescue is not! Her ememrgency care came in at over $6400 and we could desperately use some financial support from the community. Without donations from the community, we will not be abel to say yes to the next emergency that calls on our help.

Rescued Mom Dog Catherine Is Critically Sick — Help Her Stay Strong for Her Puppy

Lauderhill, FL • Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc.

Just weeks ago, Catherine and her tiny baby Heath were found abandoned in a truck yard in Miami — a place our rescue sadly knows too well. We call it _the rockpit_, because it’s where people dump unwanted dogs and leave them to fend for themselves. Catherine is only 8 months old herself. Instead of growing up safe in a home, she was struggling to survive while caring for her 3-week-old puppy. Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation stepped in and brought them to safety. But then everything took a frightening turn. Catherine suddenly began vomiting repeatedly — 6 to 7 times in a short period. We rushed her to the shelter where she received fluids and anti-nausea medications (Cerenia and ondansetron). When they weighed her, the news was alarming: Catherine had lost over a full pound, dropping from 6.2 lbs to just 5.1 lbs. For such a tiny dog, that amount of weight loss is extremely serious. She stabilized after treatment and seemed bright and alert when we brought her home. The shelter told us the medication should stop the vomiting. But only ten minutes after eating a small amount of wet food mixed with puppy milk replacer, Catherine vomited again. At that point, we knew she needed immediate veterinary care. We rushed her to a nearby veterinary clinic where they are running tests right now to determine what’s causing her severe vomiting and rapid weight loss. Our biggest fear is something like parvovirus or a dangerous infection, which could quickly become life-threatening — especially for a young nursing mother. While Catherine is fighting to get better, her tiny baby Heath still needs her. At just three weeks old, he relies on her completely. Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation is committed to doing whatever it takes to help Catherine recover so she can continue caring for her baby and eventually find the safe, loving home she has always deserved. But emergency veterinary care is expensive, and these unexpected cases add up quickly for a small rescue. Your support today can help cover: • Emergency exam and diagnostics • Bloodwork and testing to determine the cause of her illness • Medications and supportive care • Ongoing treatment to help Catherine recover and stay strong for Heath Every donation, no matter the amount, helps give this young mama the chance to heal and continue caring for her baby. Catherine has already survived abandonment and the harsh conditions of the rockpit. With your help, we can make sure this is where her story turns around. Please consider donating and sharing Catherine and Heath’s story. Together, we can help this tiny family get the care they urgently need.

Tiny Gremlin Is Fighting Multiple Illnesses—Help This Sweet Kitten Survive

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

At just 2 months old, a tiny kitten now named Gremlin has already faced more hardship than most animals experience in a lifetime. When he was first found, Gremlin was extremely thin, weak, and struggling to use one of his legs. It was clear he had been suffering for quite some time and urgently needed medical attention. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club rushed him to the veterinarian, where the first of many serious issues was discovered: a severe abscess that required immediate drainage and treatment. The infection was serious enough that Gremlin had to remain under close medical supervision while receiving fluids, antibiotics, and pain management. Despite everything his tiny body had endured, Gremlin showed nothing but love. He purred through treatments and melted into his caregivers’ arms as if he knew he was finally safe. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning of his medical battle. After extensive testing and diagnostics, veterinarians discovered that Gremlin is also fighting cryptosporidium and giardia, two intestinal parasites that can cause severe gastrointestinal illness—especially dangerous for such a small, fragile kitten. Even more concerning, there is also suspicion of FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a serious and complex disease that requires further monitoring and care. Because of these complications, Gremlin has required multiple veterinary visits, diagnostics, medications, and ongoing supportive care, and his veterinary bills have now surpassed $2,000—and continue to grow as we work to give him the treatment he needs. Through it all, Gremlin remains the sweetest, most loving little kitten. He is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly trusting during every vet visit and treatment. Despite his difficult start, he continues to fight with a tiny body but a huge heart. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is doing everything possible to give Gremlin the chance he deserves—but we cannot do it alone. Every dollar helps this brave little kitten continue his journey toward healing. Gremlin has already survived so much in his short life. With your help, we can make sure his story doesn’t end in suffering—but instead becomes one of recovery, love, and the bright future every kitten deserves. Thank you for helping Pumpkin’s Rescue Club give Gremlin his chance 3/21/26 Update We’re happy to share a hopeful update about little Gremlin! After everything this tiny fighter has been through, Gremlin is doing well and showing encouraging progress. He has officially finished his treatment for both giardia and cryptosporidium, which is a huge milestone in his recovery. Over the past weeks, Gremlin has handled medications, vet visits, and supportive care like a champion. Despite his difficult start in life, his sweet personality continues to shine, and he’s been gaining strength each day. The next step is an important one — Gremlin will be retested to make sure he is fully clear of both parasites. We’re hopeful that his results will confirm that the treatment was successful and that he’s moving closer to a clean bill of health. While this progress is wonderful news, Gremlin’s care has included multiple diagnostics, medications, and ongoing monitoring, and we’re still working to cover the costs of his medical treatment. If you’re able, please consider making a donation to help support Gremlin’s continued care and follow-up testing. Every contribution helps ensure this brave little kitten gets the healthy future he deserves. Thank you for standing with Gremlin and helping him turn a heartbreaking start into a story of healing and hope. 3/30/26 Update We’re so happy to share another positive update about little Gremlin! After everything this tiny fighter has been through, he is still doing great and continues to make wonderful progress. Gremlin has remained bright, playful, and full of affection. His strength and resilience have truly shined throughout his recovery, and it’s incredible to see how far he has come from the fragile kitten who first arrived in need of urgent care. He’s eating well, gaining confidence, and soaking up all the love from his caregivers. At this point, Gremlin is doing so well that we’re simply waiting for one final cosmetic detail — his missing fur to grow back. Once his coat fills in, he will officially be ready for adoption and able to start the happy new chapter he has fought so hard for. This is a huge milestone for a kitten who once faced multiple infections, serious illness, and uncertainty. Now, he’s on the brink of finding a forever home where he can live the carefree kittenhood he deserves. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Gremlin along the way. Your donations helped cover his diagnostics, medications, and ongoing care that made this recovery possible. As we prepare him for adoption, continued support helps us ensure he remains healthy and ready for his perfect match. Thank you for being part of Gremlin’s journey and helping turn his heartbreaking start into a story of resilience, healing, and hope. 4/23/26 Update From a fragile, suffering kitten fighting multiple infections… to a playful, thriving little survivor—Gremlin’s transformation has been nothing short of incredible. We’re so happy to share that Gremlin is in the final stretch of his recovery. He is finishing up his FIP treatment and completing his second round of deworming, marking the last steps in a long and challenging medical journey. Today, Gremlin is bright, active, and full of life. The tiny kitten who once struggled just to get through each day is now playing, growing, and showing off his sweet, affectionate personality every chance he gets. His strength and resilience have carried him through every obstacle—and now, he’s finally almost ready for the life he deserves. If all continues as expected, Gremlin will be ready for adoption in about a week. This moment once felt so far away. Because of your support, Gremlin received the diagnostics, medications, and ongoing care he needed to survive and heal. You gave him a chance when his future was uncertain—and now, that future is bright. Very soon, Gremlin will be heading into a forever home where he can leave all of this behind and simply be a kitten—safe, loved, and carefree. Thank you for standing with him every step of the way. Gremlin’s story is proof of what compassion can do.

Mr. Big Man Is Wasting Away — And He Needs Help Now

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Over the past month, Mr. Big Man has lost nearly half of his body weight. This once-strong street cat is now painfully thin, and the reason is heartbreaking: a severe, painful abscess in his mouth has left him unable to eat. For weeks, Mr. Big Man has been silently starving—not because food wasn’t available, but because eating was simply too painful. Mr. Big Man began visiting a small colony of cats cared for by a dedicated feeder. When that colony had to be urgently relocated after it was discovered that someone was poisoning the cats, Mr. Big Man stayed behind. He rarely wandered and spent much of his time near a nearby food truck where kind people looked out for him. Even after the colony moved, his caretaker continued stopping by to leave food and check on him. But when she checked in recently, her heart sank—Mr. Big Man hadn’t eaten in nearly two weeks. That’s when it became clear that something was seriously wrong. On January 19, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club stepped in to save his life. Mr. Big Man was brought in for urgent veterinary care, where he was sedated for a full examination. He received diagnostic blood work, infectious disease testing, and immediate treatment to relieve his pain. Veterinarians confirmed he has significant oral disease and will need a dental procedure to address the source of his suffering. On top of that, he’s also battling an upper respiratory infection and is now on antibiotics. Because Mr. Big Man has no safe place to recover, he is currently being boarded while we search for a foster or determine the best long-term plan for him. Life on the streets is brutally hard—especially for cats like Mr. Big Man who quietly suffer until they simply can’t anymore. Without intervention, his condition would have continued to worsen. With proper care, he has a real chance to regain weight, live pain-free, and finally experience comfort and stability. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is asking for help to cover diagnostic testing and sedation, pain management and medications, antibiotics and follow-up care, a much-needed dental procedure, and boarding costs while a safe placement is secured. Your donation today helps give Mr. Big Man relief from pain and a chance at a healthier future. Every dollar raised goes directly toward the care he needs right now. He survived the streets. Now he needs us to help him heal. 3/7/26 Update We’re happy to share a wonderful update on Mr. Big Man’s journey. Thanks to your support, Mr. Big Man was able to receive the veterinary care he desperately needed, including diagnostics, treatment for infection, and care to address the painful dental disease that had left him unable to eat. Your generosity helped relieve his suffering and gave him the chance to begin healing after weeks of silent starvation on the streets. But the good news doesn’t stop there. Mr. Big Man has now moved on to a specialized rescue that focuses on caring for and adopting out cats with FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). This incredible organization has the experience, resources, and network needed to ensure that FeLV-positive cats like Mr. Big Man can live safe, comfortable lives and find loving homes that understand their needs. Because of this partnership, Mr. Big Man is now in the best possible place for his future, surrounded by people who are dedicated to giving cats like him the care and opportunities they deserve. What started as a heartbreaking situation—a starving street cat in terrible pain—has turned into a story of compassion, teamwork, and second chances. This outcome would not have been possible without the kindness of every person who donated and shared Mr. Big Man’s story. Your support helped get him off the streets, out of pain, and into the hands of people who will continue to advocate for him. From all of us at Pumpkin’s Rescue Club, and from Mr. Big Man himself—thank you for helping change his life. 🐾

Fluid in Her Chest, Fight in Her Heart — Penny Needs Help Now

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

When Penny arrived at Pumpkin’s Rescue Club, she was already fighting an uphill battle. This tiny girl was found in heartbreaking condition—dangerously underweight at just 4.15 pounds, visibly frail, and struggling to keep food down. Her body was failing her, yet her spirit hadn’t gotten the message. Penny remained alert, bright, and full of fight—something both devastating and incredibly hopeful to witness. Penny has now been hospitalized for several days as veterinarians work tirelessly to stabilize her. An ultrasound revealed significant fluid buildup in both her chest and abdominal cavity, making it difficult for her to breathe comfortably. Some of this fluid had to be removed from her chest just to give her relief. Based on the type and location of this fluid buildup, along with Penny’s clinical signs, veterinarians are highly concerned about FIP, a devastating disease that can be fatal without treatment. At the same time, additional diagnostic testing is still needed to rule out other possible causes of the fluid and to fully confirm the underlying diagnosis. Regardless of the final outcome, Penny’s condition is serious and requires immediate, ongoing medical care. There are reasons to hope. Aside from anemia and a mild infection, Penny’s lab work is otherwise normal—an encouraging sign that her body is still strong and fighting. One of the biggest challenges right now is that she is barely eating and having difficulty keeping food down, which makes both stabilization and treatment especially difficult. Even so, Penny continues to show remarkable resilience. Personality-wise, she is a little warrior—sweet, engaged, and still curious about the world around her despite being so fragile. She hasn’t given up, and neither have we. The cost of this level of care adds up quickly, and Pumpkin’s Rescue Club cannot do it alone. We are reaching out for support so we can keep Penny at the vet, pursue the diagnostics she needs, manage her symptoms, and give her the fighting chance she so clearly wants. With timely care and continued treatment, we truly believe Penny can turn a corner and go on to live the healthy, happy life she deserves. 💛 Please consider donating today to help Penny keep fighting. If you’re unable to give, sharing her story can still make a life-saving difference. Together, we can give Penny hope—and the future she’s bravely holding on for.

Lucky Deserves a Second Chance After Unthinkable Cruelty

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Lucky’s life on the streets of Miami was already difficult—but then tragedy struck. When a trapper found him for TNVR, they were horrified to see the skin on his forehead peeling away from what appears to be an acid burn. Whether this was accidental or deliberate, we may never know. What we do know is that Lucky has suffered far too much. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club immediately stepped in to give Lucky the chance he deserves. Right now, he is being held at the vet for intensive, around-the-clock care to clean the wound, manage his pain, and prevent infection. Once he’s stable enough, he will move to a foster home where he can continue his recovery in a calmer environment. At the moment, Lucky is fractious and scared. But it’s important to remember—he’s also in tremendous pain, confined, and undergoing treatment. With time, healing, and compassion, we believe he’ll show us who he truly is under the fear and trauma. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is a very small rescue, and Lucky’s medical bills are already adding up. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference in covering the cost of his vet care, medications, and recovery support. ** Update 10/11/25** Lucky continues to show incredible resilience as he heals from the acid burns on his head. Thanks to his dedicated foster family, he’s receiving his daily medications and wound care — no small task for a cat who’s still learning to trust people. His wound is healing beautifully and scabbing over just as the vet hoped. The vet says that as long as it continues to heal like this, Lucky won’t need to return for more check-ups, sparing him the stress of those trips back and forth. Every day, Lucky grows a little stronger and a little braver. His recovery is a testament to love, patience, and community support. Thank you to everyone who’s been cheering Lucky on — your kindness continues to make his healing possible. Update 10/21/25 We have such encouraging news to share—Lucky is healing beautifully! His once red and raw wounds have now scabbed over, and we’re even seeing little patches of fur starting to grow back. It’s amazing what time, care, and compassion can do. While Lucky is still understandably nervous around people, he’s tolerated all of his treatments like a true fighter, as if he knows we’re trying to help him. Each day he grows a little stronger, and we’re so proud of the progress he’s made. He only needs one final vet check to make sure everything is fully healed. He’s eating well, feeling safe, and seems a little happier every day. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, or sent kind words. Your support is giving Lucky a second chance at life.

Help Persi Heal: Maine Coon Needs Surgery for Painful Ear Infection and Eye Condition

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Meet Persi, a gorgeous Maine Coon cat with the sweetest soul. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club found him wandering the streets, sick, starving, and abandoned. We believe he was used for breeding, and when he became ill, he was simply dumped. Despite everything he’s endured, Persi greets everyone with gentle affection. He’s severely malnourished, suffering from a painful chronic ear infection that’s left him with a head tilt, and he has a grade 3 heart murmur that requires monitoring. Persi also still needs to be neutered once he’s strong enough. Persi deserves more than the neglect he’s known — he deserves a chance at comfort, care, and love. Your support will cover his vet visits, medications, diagnostic tests, and the treatments he needs to begin healing. Every gift helps Persi get closer to the healthy, happy life he’s never known. Please help us show him that he is not disposable, that he is cherished, and that his best days are still ahead. Update 9/27/25 Persi is looking so much better and is so happy to be inside in a foster home lounging on the bed and getting lots of pets. Unfortunately Persi developed a UTI, and is now being treated with antibiotics. \*\*\*\* Update 10/11/25\*\*\*\* Sweet Persi recently finished a round of antibiotics for his UTI, but unfortunately, he’s still not fully recovered. His foster has noticed he’s continuing to pee small brown spots in random areas around the house — a sign that something still isn’t right. Today, Persi is back at the vet for further diagnostics to figure out what’s going on. The team suspects he may have a bladder stone, which could explain his lingering discomfort. Persi has been such a trooper through all of this, and we’re hoping to get clear answers soon so he can finally feel relief. Thank you to everyone who’s been following and supporting Persi’s journey. Your compassion makes it possible for him to get the care he needs. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more! \*\* Update 10/24/25\*\* Sweet Persi has come such a long way, but his medical journey isn’t over yet. This gentle boy is still struggling with an ear polyp that causes painful, recurring infections and heavy wax buildup—requiring daily cleanings just to keep him comfortable. On top of that, his inward-turning eyelid (entropion) constantly irritates his eye, leaving him with discharge and discomfort. The only way to give Persimmon lasting relief is through surgery to correct both issues. We’ve already spent over $700 on his vet visits, treatments, and prescription food, and now he needs about $1,700 more for these crucial procedures. Please consider donating or sharing Persimmon’s story. Every contribution helps bring him closer to a pain-free, happy life surrounded by comfort and care Update 11/11/25 Persimmon’s ear polyp (causing constant ear infections and extra wax buildup, requiring daily ear cleaning) was just removed! It was HUGE!. He also had an inward eyelid (entropion) that was causing him discomfort and constant eye discharge, fixed!! Please consider donating or sharing to help us cover the cost of his surgeries and ongoing care. Every bit makes a difference in giving Persimmon the happy, healthy life he deserves. 1/13/26 Update Because of you, Persi is no longer suffering in silence. When Pumpkin’s Rescue Club found him, Persi was sick, starving, and abandoned—likely discarded after being used for breeding. He was battling malnutrition, a painful chronic ear infection, urinary issues, and multiple medical conditions that made everyday life uncomfortable. Thanks to your support, Persi found safety in a loving foster home and received the veterinary care he desperately needed. His UTI was treated, further diagnostics were completed, and—most importantly—his painful ear polyp and inward-turning eyelid were surgically corrected. These procedures have already made a significant difference in his comfort and quality of life. Persi still has monitoring and recovery ahead, but because of you, he now has relief, stability, and the chance at the healthy, gentle life he always deserved. From Pumpkin’s Rescue Club and Persi himself—thank you for showing him he is cherished and for making his healing possible.

Rufus needs urgent care for severely infected eyes

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

When a kind-hearted Good Samaritan went to feed a small colony of community cats, they never expected to meet Rufus. Unlike the others, Rufus didn’t shy away—he walked right up to them, purring and pressing his head into their hands, desperate for love. But what broke their heart even more was how badly he was suffering. Rufus was skin and bones, so frail and thin it was a wonder he could stand. His fur was matted and dirty from struggling to survive outdoors. But the most shocking of all were his eyes—so red, swollen, and infected they were barely open. It’s a miracle he could see anything at all. Despite it all, Rufus was unbelievably sweet—rubbing against legs, asking for pets, trusting humans. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club took him into their care. After seeing his condition, they immediately took him to the vet where he is now hospitalized and receiving intensive care. He’s being treated for malnutrition, dehydration, and painful eye infections. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is a small rescue that helps cats like Rufus receive the care and love they need to get their second chance. Please consider donating to help them cover the cost of Rufus's treatment. Update 8/14/25 Rufus is doing great in foster care. He has energy to play and loves attention. He goes back to the vet soon for more bloodwork and to re-evaluate his eyes.

Taffy is a 9 month old Mix-Breed in Fort Myers, FL, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Repair Double Fracture Front Leg.

Fort Myers, FL • Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue, Inc

🆘💔INJURED PUP FOUND HIDING UNDER CAR💔🆘 This sweet as sugar stray baby was found injured hiding under a car in Hialeah, FL. She struggles to walk and urinate and her belly is huge. Finder believes she may have been beaten. She is very young, maybe 9-10 months old, and despite her suffering she still manages a little tail wag. She has been through so much pain and neglect in her young life. She was rushed over to Town and County Animal Hospital in Miami over the weekend and had emergency surgery to repair a double fracture in her front leg - we were given an estimate of $4K for JUST for the surgery. The extreme bloat in her belly is believed to be because she is full of parasites draining her of any nutrients. This means she has been neglected for most, if not all, of her life. Taffy has known only neglect and pain at the hands of humans, but is sweet, loving and trusting regardless. She has won over the hearts of the vet staff and everyone who has met her. We will heal her body and soul and make sure she finds a loving forever home once she is healed, but she has a long way to go. Please help us help Taffy! We have taken on several major medical cases over the past few weeks that have depleted our emergency medical funds, but no one else was helping Taffy & we couldn't bear to leave her in that pain. Please help us by donating. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue!
