Athena

Athena is a 4 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Sanford, FL, who needs $6,000 for Partial Mastectomy, Mass Removals and Cancer Screening.

Sanford, FL

After unexpectedly losing our beloved Zeus to cancer and swearing against getting another dog. We went to the shelter “just to look” and Athena came into our lives when we needed her the most. After three visits to be sure she was the right fit, she became part of our family and our hearts began to heal. During some recent vet visits to treat some ear issues, it became clear Athena had other issues. We learned she had multiple masses, which brings back painful memories of losing Zeus. Athena underwent surgery on July 28th and all 10 masses were successfully removed. Now we wait and hope for good news. We are grateful we caught it early and looking forward to many more years of love together. Athena is a gentle old soul who simply loves being by my side. Even while sleeping, she wakes to make sure I’m still there. She loves giving kisses, puzzle toys, daily walks, and relaxing. Her sweetest quirk is “trancing”—slowly walking beneath leafy plants just to feel the leaves brush against her. She’s incredibly friendly, loves attention, and never strays far from my side. After spending more than $10,000 on Zeus’s diagnosis and care, the unexpected veterinary bills wiped out my savings and left me with credit card debt. I wasn’t financially prepared for another major expense, but I’d do anything to give Athena the care she deserves.

Gingy

Gingy is a 8 year old American Shorthair in Aventura, FL, who needs $8,000 for Accel. Radiation or Palliative Rad. Therapy.

Aventura, FL

Gingy is a rescue since he was 6 mos. He’s been with our family for 8 years and has grown up alongside my three children. I’m a single mom of three kids and two cats, and Gingy has always been the heart of our home. He sleeps cuddling between my arm & body nightly. Wakes me up on my chest every morning. He follows me everywhere, and is deeply bonded to all of us, including his sister Cookie. Gingy was first seen by Dr. Gauo (spelling pending) at Banfield Hospital, who performed the biopsy and found results consistent with squamous cell carcinoma. He referred us to the Animal Cancer Care Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, where Dr. Lyons, the oncologist, confirmed the diagnosis and discussed treatment options. His symptoms are progressing quickly. Gingy is incredibly loving & attached to me & youngest son. He climbs on my belly, makes his biscuits, then sleeps on my chest. He stays glued to my side, and follows me from room to room. He comforts my kids when they’re sad and makes us laugh with his sweet, funny habits, like sitting upright like a little human or cuddling with his stuffed toy. He’s truly part of our family. As a single mom supporting three kids and two cats on my own, the costs of diagnostics, medications, and ongoing care have become overwhelming. Any help would mean the world to us and give Gingy the chance to feel better and stay with the family who loves him so much.

Yoda

Yoda is a 5 Year Old French Bulldog in West Melbourne, FL, Who Needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy.

West Melbourne, FL

Yoda came into our lives as a special gift during the pandemic and has been spreading love ever since. Born with epilepsy, he’s always been a little fighter. He loves stroller rides, walks, and picking up his sister Alyana from school. Sweet, calm, and friendly, our “precious Papas” is now fighting lymphoma, and we’re fighting for him. Yoda is beginning a 25-week chemotherapy plan at the animal cancer clinic, and he’s handling it with so much bravery. Each visit brings new hope as he fights lymphoma with his gentle spirit and wagging tail. We’re committed to giving him every chance, one treatment at a time, and supporting him through this journey. Yoda is special because his playful spirit shines in everything he does. He loves his toys, playing hide-and-seek, and cuddling for movie nights. He’s always at my feet in the kitchen, following me with love. His gentle joy fills our home, and his little moments of sweetness make every day brighter. Today’s treatment is critical for Yoda’s fight against lymphoma. As I go through pregnancy, this journey is even harder, and any support truly helps. We’re doing everything we can so Yoda stays strong and healthy — our biggest hope is for him to be here to meet the baby!

Sprinkles

Sprinkles is a 11 year old American Shorthair in Altamonte Springs, Florida, FL, who needs $2,000 for Electrochemotherapy (Surgery) or Chemotherapy.

Altamonte Springs, Florida, FL

Sprinkles was born in a small box in my closet eleven years ago. His mother is my daughter's cat Sammy, and we were so excited for that day! Sammy had three kittens, and I decided I would adopt two of them out, and keep one just for me. The one I bonded with almost immediately was Sprinkles, and I've had him ever since. He & Sammy live with me in my condo where they get lots of wet food & treats. When his illness first began, it looked like nothing more than a small nick on his nose. You can see it from earlier pictures. It slowly began growing larger. We brought him to his veterinarian who advised that a sample of the growth be sent for analysis. This is when I learned that he had Squamous Cell Carcinoma. We were then referred to the Animal Cancer Care Clinic to see an oncologist. Some things that are special about Sprinkles is that he is so responsive to my voice, and knows it's me even if he can't see me. He loves to lay down over my shoulder when I'm relaxing in bed, and just purrs contently. Sometimes he's naughty too, and swats at my leg as I'm walking past him. He never has his claws out, though because he's just a good boy at heart. I'm disabled, and live on a fixed income. I go without things to make sure my pets have what they need, and I'm more than happy to do so. The chemotherapy & Electrochemotherapy the oncologist is advising are just above and beyond what I can afford. He needs treatment soon!

Ryku is a 15 year old Maltese in Sanford, FL, who needs $4,575 for Anal Sacculectomy Bilateral.

Sanford, FL

Ryku has been my little sidekick for 15 years. I was only about 12 years old when I got him. He has truly been with me through it all, from middle school to graduate school. We have grown so much together and I still continue to love him more and more each day - something that I didn’t know would be possible. My world revolves around him and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In July, Ryku had bloody stool. His primary vet at Winter Park Veterinary Hospital noticed a mass during his rectal exam and decided to treat it as an infection, but the mass was not going away. We then opted to do a Fine Needle Aspiration and the cytology report confirmed that it was cancer (adenocarcinoma of the apocrine glands of the anal sac). We received the news from the vet on 10/3. Ryku has only child syndrome and is used to being the star of the show (as he should). He is sassy, stubborn, and resilient. He can be a grumpy old man at times but has the heart of a young puppy. He is and will always be my puppy. He enjoys peanut butter, bananas, strawberries, watermelon, pumpkin, whipped cream, cucumbers, chicken, and rice. He enjoys going on long walks and napping. Animal Cancer Care Clinic quoted us $4,118.56-$4,575.48 for surgery. My job has been unstable and I am looking for a third job while we primarily rely on my husband’s income. Please consider helping Ryku. All I want is for him to be healthy and happy. Anything helps!!

Hades is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Jensen Beach, FL, who needs $2,000 for Definitive Radiation Therapy - Stereotactic Body.

JENSEN BEACH, FL

Hades was adopted from a local rescue in West Palm Beach Florida in 2017. He went to college with me at Florida State University before we moved back home south. He frequently goes to doggy camp, gets baths, and has lots of toys around our house. In June 2024, I noticed a small lump forming on his arm. He had a biopsy and removal. His biopsy came back as a stage 1 soft tissue sarcoma. Due to the location in his arm, margins were unclear. He went to Animal Cancer Care Clinic. Treatment Options:targeted radiation therapy or amputation. Hades is the most active dog I know. This radiation therapy will put me in debt, but amputation is severe. Hades is a super love-able dog. He likes to eat (favorite food is stella and chewys) and play with his toys (mostly plushy toys). You can find him at the park or at day camp most days. I am a social worker. My income is limited and credit maxed due to Hades previous medical bills (skin infections & ear infections). I will not stop until he gets treatment. Every little bit helps.

Buddy is a 8-year-old Short-Haired Cat in Miami, FL, who needs $2,000 for Stereotactic Body Radiosurgery.

Miami, FL

When I moved into my new home, I rescued Buddy from the neighborhood he was living in for 7 years as a stray. After many years on the street, we adopted him to provide him and his bonded partner, Loredo, a safe and warm home to be in. Buddy is the sweetest cat in the world, everyone loves him and he loves everyone! He is so cuddly and affectionate and loves nothing more than to curl up next to a human or animal friend. Buddy is always sticking out his tongue and he loves to climb and we always find him in the weirdest spots. Most recently he has become accustomed to sitting on my boyfriends motorcycle. After going in for a check-up following an allergic reaction, the vet noticed Buddy had a scab on his nose. We thought he had pawed at it but upon further examination and a biopsy, it was revealed that he had a cancerous tumor in his nose. Unfortunately the cost of radiation is close to $10K all in which we cannot afford. The tumor cannot be surgically removed as it would take out his entire nose so the only thing we can do is radiation otherwise it will continue to grow until it kills him.

Willow

Willow is a 12-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Homestead, FL, who needs $2,000 for Palliative Radiation Treatment (Low Dose Radiation).

Homestead, FL

Willow was found on the street by a family friend. At first, we were only fostering her until she got better but she won our hearts completely. I don’t know much about her past, but I know she didn’t have the best life. She was found malnourished, dehydrated, two ear infections, and unfortunately, a nasal tumor. She lives with my family and I, which is my parents, sister, and nephew. Willow is a little old so she can get confused sometimes but that’s one of the reasons why I love her. She has so many favorite sleeping spots in the house that every time I try to look for her, it’s like playing hide and go seek! Her favorite thing in the world is to be pet. If she could, she would get pet 24/7. She loves everyone in the house, as long as they give her pets! Willow truly is the sweet and most beautiful girl. I love her little messed up ear. She loves her nose to be pet so whenever I do, she opens her mouth a bit and you can see her adorable teefies! She also loves her whiskers to be pet. Sometimes, when the pet is too good, she loses a bit of balance! She loves tummy rubs and I love giving that to her. She makes little snorting sounds when she eats! I had taken Willow to several vets and finally it was discovered that she has a nasal tumor. It’s putting pressure on her nasal cavity and causing swelling on her eye. She needs radiation treatment and soon, or else she’ll have 2-6 months to live. She will be getting the treatment done at Animal Cancer Care Clinic in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I have a terrible paying part-time job and my father is the only other provider and he doesn’t get much either. I want to give Willow a second chance at a better and healthier life, since she didn’t have the best life to begin with. She deserves so much love and care.

Cooper is a 14-year-old Peek a Poo in Haines City, FL, who needs $900 for Cancer Treatment.

Haines City, FL

We purchased Cooper as a puppy and he has been our constant companion ever since. He had a brother, Tucker a Shih Tzu for 12 years and a sister, Marley, a lab mix who we had for 6 years, both rescues who he loved dearly. He now has two sisters both lab mix rescues. Cooper loves his 3 human siblings and his little nieces who give him unlimited hugs. His tail wags like crazy when they visit. Cooper is crate trained but sleeps with us, he curls up right behind my knees or against my back, he's a momma's boy. He lets his much bigger sisters (lab mixes) know mom is his cuddle buddy and they comply. My husband wont admit it but Cooper is his little buddy. Cooper rules the house but is a gentle little guy. He thinks he's a big dog, has no fear but wouldn't hurt a fly. Cooper has been my constant for the past 14 years and I pray he has 14 more. You can tell its not his time, he still bounces around like he is a puppy. I call Cooper my little Diva, he lets you know he's here...if you are not paying attention to him he makes his presence know. After the groomers he knows he looks good and struts out with his little" look at me, I look good" swagger. Cooper was doing great with no issues until he started losing weight and we discovered a lump on his thyroid. We were told by an emergency vet we should put him down. It wasn't his time, his vets at Orchid Springs agreed and found Animal Cancer Care Clinic. Once on thyroid and heart meds he bounced back and we started a chemo regiment, he is responding well thanks to his team of vets who care. We had a small emergency fund, now empty and have charged Coopers care since April, Cooper is my world. Cooper is family and he gets the same medical care as any family member. He will be on Thyroid/Heart meds for the rest of his life, just need him to be cancer free.

Hernry was rescued from a local pet store that was selling puppy-farm puppies When we got him, he weighed less than 3 pounds and was very sick with a respritory infection and giardia. We brought him home, cared for him with the help of our local vet Ramblewood Animal Hospital, and he recovered! He put on weight and has grown into a beautiful boy. With all of the care and attention that we gave him, he grew up to be a little spoiled. But that is fine with us because he spoiles us too, with his constant cuddles and kisses. We work separate shifts. (Mom works overnights with the mentally ill and recovering addicts.) So someone is always with him one-on-one. And the arrangement means that he has become both Mom and Dad's best friend. Henry is a natural emotional support dog. He makes sure everyone stays on schedule by reminding us of what time it is. There is cuddle time. Food time and Football Time! That's the hand off between us when we get kisses and say goodbye to the other for our shifts. He loves to burrow u der the covers, is always the small spoon. His favorite TV show on the rare occasions when he is alone, is Dr WHO Henry has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Cancer. It started qith a all lump on his shoulder that we had removed, but the surgeon couldn't get all of it. He was so very brave and has bouced back But the Cancer is still there. It hasn't spread noticably yet, but is growning. He's so very young and happy, it's hard to imagine that he's sick inside. He never lets it get him down. We have used all of our money on surgery and imaging. We know that there is never a 100% sure cure for cancer, but the doctors give him 65% to 95% chance to survive, depending on which treatment we use and how fast. 95% is what we're shooting for.

boca raton, FL

Lucy is a 8 year old Pitbull who was rescued in Miami from death row after being taken out of an abusive situation. She lived at a rescue for 4 years before I found her in 2020. She now lives in a loving home with a mom who adores her! Lucy loves to cuddle! She can often be found lying in bed or on the couch on top of a fuzzy blanket. Lucy loves playing tug of war and will forcibly put a toy in your hand until you play with her. She is extremely goofy and makes everyone around her smile! Lucy is so special because even though she has endured previous abuse, she is still so loving and happy. She always makes me laugh by lying on anything soft, that being pillows, clothes, or a towel on the ground. If you leave dirty laundry on the floor, she will definitely make it a nest. Lucy had a tumor removal in Oct 2023, which was sent off to a pathology lab to be tested. The results indicated that she had a stage 2 Mast Cell Tumor that was not able to be fully removed. Her vet recommended she be taken to the Animal Cancer Care Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, where the oncologist recommended an ultra sound, CT scan, and radiation therapy, which he believes will be successful. I am a graduate student and do not make enough money as a part-time nanny to pay her medical bills. Lucy has gotten me through such tough times, it would mean everything to me to have her healthy again. It makes me so sad to know money is the only thing stopping this.

Chloe came into our life at 12 weeks old. We rescued her from a very bad living situation, but really she rescued me! Chloe was born in Pomona, California, and was with a family that kept her crated 23 hours out the day because she supposedly had bitten the children. So we ask to get her to protect her. And here was Chloe! Chloe became my best friend ( I'm a ARMY Veteran) and noticed how she would help me with my PTSD attacks every time they happened. She will know before I knew it's about to happen. She will either lay on me, or make me get up off the couch to go outside to Skateboard or go walking with her to change my thoughts to prevent a PDST attack. Chloe is not just our dog. Chloe is my best friend, my daily meditation and my Skatergirl. Chloe brings smiles to people's faces just by being her. She is loved no matter where she goes, and her personality is just one of a kind. There is not one bad bone on her body, and she has love for everyone that crosses her path! My world crushed when my baby was diagnosed with Lymphoma last week. Unfortunately the sickness is very fast moving and needs to be treated with Steroids and Chemotherapy that I'd very expensive. With this treatment, Chloe can go into remission to give her more time with the family that loves her with all they have. I am in need of this support because we just don't have the funds to pay for this expensive treatment which is estimated to be between 5-9 thousands dollars.

Rocky the bull terrier entered into my life in late 2008 and he was a handful. But I loved Rocky from the moment I met him, carrying him in my one hand with his tiny body and big head. We made many different moves but our biggest one was in the UK where he then travelled around Europe with me. In the last year we decided to come back home to our family for him to spend some more time with them. Rocky loves brain games. Anything with food, he's in. He also likes to shake up toys and move them around looking for food. He loves to chew. He likes animals and is curious about meeting cats and tortoises. He loves to cool down in the beach, but no waves for him. He always follows me around and he likes to be comfortable. He joins us for dinner by sitting at our feet and hoping for some scraps. Rocky has been an inspiration to many via his social media accounts and his adventures during his earlier years. The last few years he's showed off his goofiness with more comedic videos which highlight how unique and how much of a clown he is. He likes to do things his own way and only walks in the direction he wants to walk in. He also loves to stick his nose into everything including bags. Rocky has been diagnosed with a heart tumour. His treatments will be expensive and frequent. While he was initially given a bleak timeframe, a visit to another clinic has been more positive and we are going to treat him with chemo and other recommended medicine to help him with his quality of life and for him to be with us for longer Rocky's unexpected diagnosis and multiple emergency room visits have cost us thousands. already. While we had money saved for vet emergencies, we never imagined he would be diagnosed with such a serious illness and the treatment costs will further reach in the thousands.

I rescued Little Guys mommy when she was pregnant. She gave birth to him and his 2 brothers on July 22, 2018. I adopted out 1 and kept momma and 2 boys. He lives a very plush indoor lifestyle. He suffered a urethra blockage at age 2 and survived a surgery and a relapse. Now he is almost 5 and we are saving his life again. When he was born he was the smallest of the 3 boys and at first sight my reaction was...."aww look at that little guy!" He grew into a big cat and used that to his advantage to beat up his little orange brother so they agreed to pick opposite sides of the house. Momma still keeps them in line with an occasional whap. Little Guy picked me as his human quickly as a kitten, he would climb my leg to be with me and now has become my "little spoon" at night. He also has this amazing ability to turn off my husbands alarm clock during the night, now my husband uses 2 for good measure. I always know where to find him..on my pillow, guarding it from invasion of his momma or his brother. He developed a massive lump on his back a couple weeks ago. We've had blood work, lab work and x-rays. It is not attached to any organs from what we see in images, cells and enzymes are perfect. So far no cancer indicated. We are waiting on labs by May 10th. Scheduled for consult for removal on May 15th. I have already spent over $1200 on all the tests required, diagnosis and vet visits. Because of the location of the mass he has to go to a specialist to have it removed. That will range from 1500-3000 or more. I will know on the 15th of May a definite cost of the procedure.

He's always been around us. He sleeps near us but loves to wander and check out all the rooms throughout the night. He loves his walks and to play fetch but has slowed down because of the cancer. But if you put him in the car, he loves sniffing and looking out the window. Hook loves all his humans, and he knows how to manipulate them as well! He will put his puppy eyes to get extra treats or cuddles as well as sneak onto beds in the middle of the night. He loves to work outside with dad on the weekends and loves to sit outside and just watch the neighbors walk by. He's a gentle old soul and loves when they pat his head or talk to him. Unfortunately, Hook came out of remission and is now battling cancer for the third time. He has already started chemotherapy treatment and needs five doses total plus follow up care. It is very difficult to go through this again, but Hook is a trooper. The last thing we want is to make him suffer. We are looking for help because the chemo treatments are very expensive. She’s gotten X-rays at her primary along with blood work, then referred to an orthopedic surgeon, then to a neurologist where they did an MRI and a spinal tap. Now she has been referred to the oncologist where she needs radiation. I live with my disabled mother and are asking for help because the insurance Nyla has only covers preventative care. She LOVES McDoubles, running in the woods, going on car rides and each of her family members. Her favorite place to sleep is in her mommy and daddy's bed, on top of the pillows of course. She plays fetch, loves tug-o-war and can do many tricks including saying " I Love You!" Alicia loves to play with her cousin Nina in aunt Christina's yard. Her best friend is Nike who comes over to play often. Alicia does not like the dog park but enjoys the dog beach. At the beach she would rather say hello to people than play and make friends. She is so gentile with children and has been protective of her human nieces since she met them. In early April Alicia started showing symptoms of nasal cancer and was given a life expectancy of 6-9 months. Alicia was diagnosed with Nasal Adenocarcinoma which is a nasal tumor that is invading her sinus cavity and pressing against her brain. Looking at her you would see a happy, energetic pup who is loving life. Other than the tumor she is extremely healthy. Radiation therapy is recomended. Radiation therapy is recommended by Dr. Lyons with the Animal Cancer Care Clinic. With treatment Alicia could gain up to 2 more years with us. Over the last few months we have had unexpected financial troubles leaving us together ask for your help.

Bear

Bear is a 10-year-old Pomeranian in Cocoa, FL, who needs $1,700 for surgery.

Cocoa, FL

Bear came into my life in the year 2013. He was given to my sister by a person that I think didn't treat Bear too well because Bear is afraid of men's feet. But my sister asked me if I wanted Bear and so I took him and he has been with me since 2013 so I've had him for quite a while and I sure do not want to give up on him now. I have other animals and Bear gets along with them real well. He gets along with most everybody but most of time he's a loner he likes to lay by himself. Now and then he'll come up to people and want petting but most of the time he lays at his mommy's feet. He's like me most of the time, he likes to be by himself like his mommy we are like two peas in a pod. First of all dogs are special but what makes Bear special is he likes to sing for his supper and when I come home he'll even talk to me let me know that he's missed me he's talked to me let me know that he's hungry and when I put on music and I tell him let's dance to even dance with Mommy so I like to go bye-bye he's the best passenger I've ever had. Bear has a mass in his right lung the veterinarian clinic is Animal Cancer Clinic of Orlando they need to do the surgery so that he will live. They said if they do the surgery he will live and if they don't do the surgery the mass will grow and I will not have my little fury baby with us any longer and I cannot see myself without my baby so please help please help. Thank you! I have a job but I was not ready for this big bill that came up I was not ready for my dog to be sick. I have other bills that must be paid and without getting help to get these bills paid I will not be able to live and take care of the other dogs that I have and to have him healthy.

Bear is a 10-year-old Pomeranian in Cocoa, FL, who needs $1,700 for surgery to remove the mass from his right lung.

Cocoa, FL

My Bear came into my life in 2013 when he was only 4 years old. I rescued him from a bad situation a where man used to kick him around, so when he seen men's feet he would get crazy. But he's been with me since then and I've changed his ways. He still gets a little bit crazy when he sees men's feet but he's a special, special boy to me. I don't know how it would be not to have him in my life. Bear's a good boy. He interacts with everybody pretty well but most of the time he's a loner. He likes to sit right at Mommy's feet or lay at Mommy's feet. He interacts with his daughter, I have his daughter Pretty Girl, but other than that Bear's always been a loner like me. I've always been a loner. I don't interact too much with people so it's mostly just been me in there so without him it would be a little different. Bear makes me laugh! When I get his food ready he'll sit there and talk to me while I'm making it. He'll make funny noises when I come home like he's trying to tell me, "Hi, Mommy, I missed you! All right, Mommy, hurry up I'm hungry." He's also awesome in the car. He'll sit in the passenger seat just like a human being, that's why I like to take him on car rides. He loves to go for rides! He has a mass in his right lung which they want to do surgery on to get it out. The cost is pretty pricey but you can't put a price on love. The people that will perform the surgery is the Animal Cancer Care Clinic in Orlando. Please, please find it in your heart to help me take care of my baby and save his life. He's got so much life left to live. All I want is to have my pet healthy again. If I could take that cancer out of him and put it into me, I would. I would take it right now and let it be me not him but to have him healthy again would be everything in the world to me so please help.

Onyx is a 14-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix in Deland, FL, who needs $2,000 for Pilladia, chemotherapy.

Deland, FL

I have had Onyx since he was a few months old and when I first met him, his personality immediately stole my heart. We call him OnOn, BonBon and RonRon. All of which he answers to happily! He makes the funniest noises when he’s his happiest self, after snacks, meals, walks, or even tummy scratches. He loves sleeping on my side of the bed on his plushy dog bed (He’s a mommy’s boy). He has been the best big brother to our son! And once in a while forgets we can see him cuddle with our rabbit. One time my husband started falling asleep with a sandwich in his hand and Onyx stealthy bit down slowly and quietly and backed away. It was too perfect to stop him haha. My husband recently had to change jobs and our income went down more than 70% than what it was a year ago. We have depleted our savings and credit cards trying to find answers and help relieve his stress and pain About 3 months ago we found out Onyx has cancer in his Larynx. The tumor started to grow and press against his throat restricting his breathing. The tumor is inoperable currently due to the size and placement. If we can shrink it, we have a chance to remove it or allow him to live out the rest of his life being able to breathe naturally. Onyx has been there through so many of my hardships. Deployments, the loss of family members, depression. I have leaned on him so much and he has always been able to make me smile with his goofy rolling over or his snorting and rubbing all over the floor. He is obsessed with his duck that should have been tossed a while ago but I cannot throw his comfort toy away.

King is a 4-year-old Blue nose Pitbull in Groveland , FL, who needs $2,000 for Chemo therapy for Lymphoma.

Groveland, FL

I got king from our local animal shelter, and to say the least, we bonded instantly. They brought him in to meet me and I knew then hes who I wanted. I had lost my previous dog a couple months prior and king became the one who helped me through it. We have two other dogs that he loves to play with. Along with many cats that he also bonded with well. King is a sweetheart He is absolutely adored in our house. Everyone loves him and everyone that comes over loves him. He is as sweet as can be. He’s never once been aggressive or caused harm to anyone. He actually acts as a protector when somethings wrong. He loves it here, he gets a lot of yard outside to run around and play in as well as he loves his toys, more specifically socks for some reason. I am a college student who can only work a part time job and have a disabled father with a step mom who is full time at school with no job. So we don’t exactly have a lot to put to treatment. King is my best friend and all I want is for him to be healthy. I can’t lose him. King was recently diagnosed with lymphoma cancer and has to go through chemo treatment. He is being cared for at the animal cancer care clinic in Orlando, Florida. He’s being taken care of by veterinarian dr. Roof. He gets a treatment every week in 4 week intervals and we pay per week as treatment is given. King honestly is friends with anyone and everyone. He loves all our dogs and even loves all our cats. Hes just a big ole goof ball. He’ll walk around the table and if the table cloth hits his butt he gets so excited. He loves stuffed toys like stuffed animal’s, but his favourite is socks. He really loves socks, no idea why but he just does. He’s not scared of much either.

Hook is a 7-year-old Labrador Mix in Hialeah, FL, who needs $1,233 for Cancer Treatment.

Hialeah, FL

When a family member who lights up everyone's faces each day with a smile gets cancer, it's devastating. "When we found out, it was really difficult. He was given two weeks to live," Margaret R. tells Waggle. Their beloved dog Hook was diagnosed with Lymphoma. It all happened during the height of the pandemic, which made getting in to see an oncologist challenging. But when this dog-dedicated family found a specialist with an open appointment in a city five hours away, they loaded Hook in the car and said, "road trip!" They learned Hook's cancer was treatable, and he started chemotherapy at the Animal Cancer Care Clinic. "We could not even go inside with him for his treatments because of COVID," Margaret says. Margaret hopes Waggle's generous donors might help her family prolong Hook's life. He's only seven years old, and it would be devastating to lose him. "I'm so thankful to anyone who donates. Even $5 is amazing. Hook is such a great dog. He is so special." The family is struggling to pay for these additional expensive treatments but is committed to doing all they can to help Hook. "My husband got Hook from the local pound seven years ago and surprised our two girls," Margaret says. "He's been with us ever since." "But as soon as he started getting help, he seemed to be feeling better." Hook went into remission for a year, but recent blood tests revealed the cancer is trying to rear its ugly head again, and Hook needs more chemo. "You have to think positively," Margaret adds.

POCHA

POCHA is a 12-year-old Schnauzer in Pembroke Pines, FL, who needs $1,900 for Immunotherapy and Radiotherapy.

Pembroke Pines, FL

Pocha is a Schnauzer dog that has been with me for 12 years, my parents gave her to me when I was 3 years old. She only had one pregnancy, in which we had a female named Pochita. I named her Pocha because my parents used that name for me when she was a baby. Since she was little, she liked to chase me and chew on my clothes, just like she also chewed on my shoes. Pocha sleeps with me. She loves to go to the park for a run and She likes to play with a ball. She also loves to come to my terrace door to bark at the birds that come to stand in the trees. Another thing she likes is eating his dog biscuits that my dad offers her when he comes home from work. In addition, she loves to be cared for in her abdomen. My parents spent all their savings on previous exams and on a surgery performed to remove most of this Malignant Melanoma located in her throat. That is why we do not have enough money to continue with the second part of the treatment (Radiotherapy and immunotherapy). She recently had Malignant Melanoma detected in her throat and she need treatment with radiation therapy and immunotherapy (melanoma vaccine). The name of the hospital is Animal Cancer Care Clinic, located in the city of Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida. Its treating veterinarian is Ricardo Fernandez, DVM. I am her best friend, I have been with her all her life. She also plays a lot with her daughter Pochita and when they go out to the garden they try to hunt small animals such as lizards or beetles. She loves to greet all the people or animals that pass in front of my house. Her greatest fear is thunder and lightning.

Daphne

Daphne is an 8-year-old Great Dane in Winter Park, FL, who needs $2,000 for Melanoma Vaccine.

winter park, FL

I got Daphne as a Christmas gift in 2013 and it was the best day of my life and I'll never receive a better present. My mom bought her from a renowned Great Dane breeder from Pennsylvania. She was only 6 months old and very confused by all my joyful crying, but she chose me to be per person; we have been best friends ever since! Now that I am in college she lives with me! We spend all day together. Before COVID, Daphne lived at my moms house with her two other dog siblings. I would visit her as often as I possibly could. She only started living with me during the lockdown because prior to that I was at school for 12+ hours a day and it wasn't fair to leave her alone that long. Lockdown was a blessing in disguise because my sweet baby got to come live with me, and she adores my roommate! I am 22, in college, an artist and I have been taking commissions along with a part time job. Daphne desperately needs radiation. Daphne is a piece of my soul, my best friend in the world. I cannot lose her so soon I would do anything for her. Daphne was diagnosed with melanoma in her mouth just a few days before Christmas. She is otherwise the picture fo health and is in no pain. But the melanoma is growing fast and treatment is so expensive I have been doing all I can to make sure she gets what she needs. She is currently under the care of Dr. Evan Sones at the Animal Cancer Care Clinic in Orlando, FL. They are wonderful. Daphne is the sweetest most gentle giant. She is very nurturing, whenever I am sad she is there to come snuggle close to me or wipe my tears with her nose. She is a very quirky pup and always has been; for example she simply cannot greet anyone who comes through the door without having a toy in her mouth to present to them! She also loves to take toys with her while she goes potty.

Otis

Otis is a 10-year-old Greyhound in Rodanthe, NC, who needs $2,000 for digit amputation to stop sarcoma spread.

Rodanthe, NC

Otis came into our lives exactly 1 year ago. I wanted to foster a senior dog who needed to decompress from shelter life while working on a 5 week project. I was hopeful that I could find him adopters by taking him on daily walks and many visits to home improvement stores. Otis was severely underweight and at 9 yrs old I knew he would need all the help he could get to find the perfect family. When no one stepped up to adopt him, I knew I could not leave him. Otis is a gentle and sweet senior. His favorite hobbies are walking while his brother Tank strolls beside him. He can always be found curled up and cozy on a bed or sofa. He enjoys every day and you can yell by his lovely smile! Otis makes everyone smile back at him! 2020 was a horrible year with covid 19 in the picture. If you are able, please donate to Otis's surgery fund. We thank you from the bottom of our 💕 hearts! I believe can make his much needed surgery happen! THANK YOU! Otis was recently diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma which appeared on his paw. He had an initial surgery to remove the mass. Sadly, the mass has become cancer. we have just learned that he will require surgery to remove 2 digits and part of his paw pad in order to remove the cancer. We are heartbroken. Otis brings joy to our lives every single day. He is funny and makes us laugh with his silly behavior. He is so gentle with every animal he meets. His heart is golden! He offers the world's very best cuddles and is happy to meet everyone. Otis did not start out with such a good life and was most likely a neglected hunting dog for the 1st 9 years BUT, He is making up for it now!

Lily

Lily is an 11-year-old Domestic Shorthair in Maitland, FL, who needs $2,000 for Lomustine chemotherapy.

Maitland, FL

I adopted Lily a little over 10 years ago from the animal hospital that my mom works at on Long Island. Lily was abandoned on their front porch, in a small bird cage, with her four kittens. Lily was just a kitten herself at the time, but all of her kittens had been adopted and she was left behind. When I first saw her, I knew we’d be best friends. Lily is the queen of the housebound and she knows it. I have two labradors and they know she’s the boss, but she has a soft spot for the male lab. Lily moved across the country with me in 2017 when we moved to Colorado. She loved the porch in our condo where she would lie upside and allow the sun to beat down on her. In true cat fashion, she would always find warm sunlight to bask in. I’ve spent close to $25,000 on Lily’s cancer treatments, surgeries, and vet visits. Despite, owing over $10,000 on credit cards, I would do it again if Lily had the ability to be cancer free. August of 2019, I noticed a hard mass on Lily’s left thigh. I took her to the vet and her biopsy indicated fibrosarcoma. She had her leg amputated on 10/30/19, and I sent her off to Blue Pearl in Tampa for radiation treatment for a month. Unfortunately, in May the cancer returned. She’s currently be treated with chemo by Dr Evan Sones at the Animal Cancer Care Clinic in Orlando, Florida. Lily is my everything. She’s been with me through a lot; break ups, new relationships, family loss, graduate school, and moving across the country and back. She’s so incredibly smart, and I swear she’s my spirit animal. She’s feisty and a fighter; strong-willed and knows her boundaries. She’s talkative and will meow and chirp to communicate with me.
