Phoenix
Phoenix is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in lake elmo, MN, who needs $5,000 for ICU Stay.
lake elmo, MN
Phoenix has been our baby since 8 weeks old and is now 5 1/2 years old. She has always been so full of energy and a has a very dog-like personality. She loves to play fetch and much to our dismay drink from the toilet. She loves her 2 brothers and her baby sister. She is a very loving cat to those she knows and a huge emotional support to her dad. Phoenix and her dad are inseparable. We recently brought her to the Animal Emergency and Referral Center of Minnesota where we were quoted between up to $5840.61 for all of her testing and ICU stay. We unfortunately had to take her home due to cost and attempted care credit which said it would take up to 10 days to process. We are terrified for her because she is dehydrated and malnourished and continues to not eat or drink. Phoenix is so special to us. She was the first addition to our family and we are not ready to lose her. She brings joy to everyone in the family. Though she can be spicy at times it just adds to her character. She is ready to jump in any box, chase every rubber band, and climb whatever she can see. We are still recovering from our move last June and now dealing with childcare cost for our 6 month old daughter. After her initial visit at the pet hospital that put us in a financial deficit we don't even have the funding to take her in for a normal vet visit.

Hank
Hank is a 4 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Champlin, MN, who needs $5,000 for Mast Cell Tumor Removal.
Champlin, MN
This is our fur baby Hank. We love him dearly and he has been apart of our family for almost 3 years. He was a stray found in Kentucky, in which we orginally were fostering him through a rescue. We fell in love with him and "foster failed" and has been with us ever since. He is such a happy wiggly boy and is great with my kids and foster dogs we help throughout the years. November of 2025 I noticed a large lump on Hanks front paw which showed up overnight. It is as large as a golfball. After testing we found out it is a mast cell tumor meaning cancerous and he is needing surgery to remove it, as well as the lymph node on the shoulder above the leg. He is being seen at AERC of MN's oncology department. Hanky is not just a pet to us but a part of the family. He loves the kids and wants to be friends with everyone he meets! He is goofy and makes us laugh daily. The cost for Hanks surgery is not in the budget! It would mean so much if we could get the surgery done and remove the cancer as the prognosis is promising after the removal.

Jade
Jade is a 3 Year Old Labrador Retriever in Clayton, WI, Who Needs $2,000 for X-ray, Medications, and 24-48hr Stay.
Clayton, WI
Jade came to me through the Patriot k9s of Wisconsin organization. They match dogs with veterans and we get taught along with the instructors on house to train our dogs to be service dogs. Jade and I graduated from the service dog course in August 2025 Jade has been a very healthy girl up until yesterday when she ingested 2 “hot hands” hand warmers. I called the pet poison control line and they confirmed they were incredibly toxic. I brought Jade down to the Animal emergency and referral center on oakdale. After an exam and xray, it was decided she would say a 24hr minimum to be monitored and given medication as needed. Jade is my right hand. She helps alert me to many things such as migraines and panic attacks (before they hit) so I can take medication. She alerts me to nightmares and wakes me up. There’s any other tasks she is trained to help me with and I am eternally grateful for her in my life. This visit will be a major financial stressor. Just the down payment maxed out my care credit card. I would appreciate any donation, share, or verbal support through this process. I’m so grateful to my friend who told me about waggle. Thank you all in advance.

Astrid
Astrid is a 1 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in St. Paul, MN, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.
St. Paul, MN
We wanted to expand our little family, get a playmate for our dog and friend for our kids. About 6 months ago we got a puppy from a friend of a friend. We all fell in love. Shortly after her first birthday she got hit by a car and they sped off with no care for what they did. Thankfully she's still alive but she has a broken leg and pelvis. Surgery is needed to give her a full and happy life. Without it, she may not heal properly and have pain and more complications throughout her life. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle with our kids. She loves to dig, play with her toys and she loves to run around the house in the yard so fast. We're a single family household. My fiance has a fixed income and I bring in enough to get the necessities with my income with little wiggle room for much of anything. To get this surgery done would mean everything to us and to her. We need her

Maverick
Maverick is a 2 year old Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) in Marine on St. Croix, MN, who needs $7,000 for Orthopedic Surgery.
Marine on St. Croix, MN
Maverick is my two-year-old baby, my constant companion, and the joy of my life. He’s full of love, energy, and spirit, and has trained in service work. We recently moved to a Minnesota farm so he can run and play freely every day. He deserves a bright, happy, healthy future, and my heart aches to see him in pain. Maverick was brutally attacked and suffered a shattered bone along with two additional breaks in his foot. He urgently needs orthopedic surgery to save it and have a chance at a normal, active life. We went to the Animal Emergency & Referral Center (AERC), where his surgery was quoted at 5–7k dollars. I am doing everything I can to help him heal, but I cannot afford this critical care on my own. Maverick is an incredible, sweet, and gentle dog with a huge heart. He loves everyone he meets and always greets people with warmth. He is affectionate, loyal, and emotionally intelligent, comforting me whenever I’m sad. His playful, loving nature brings joy and light every day, making him truly special and one of a kind. I am trying to find stable work and do not have the funds or any emergency savings to cover Maverick’s urgent orthopedic surgery to save his foot. The cost of 5–7k is beyond my means. Having him healthy again would mean the world — seeing him run, play, and be happy.

Huntley
Huntley is a 8 year old Labrador Retriever in Woodbury, MN, who needs $4,500 for CT and Rhinoscopy.
Woodbury, MN
Huntley lives with my grandma, mom, and I with our other dog Maverick. Huntley was rescued from cocos heart rescue, his litter mates were found under a barn with his mother and they suspect she had seizures while pregnant. Huntley was labeled feral but a more accurate term is skiddish as he has a lot of anxiety and possible depth perception struggles. Huntley has had nose bleeds for the last few months we first thought it happened from the raspberry bushes in the back yard. We took him to VEG because he had blood in his stool. They found He has anemia and high globulin. They suspected a GI bleed and possibly cancer. They gave us meds that helped for a bit. We have gone to the vet multiple times and now need a CT and Rhinoscopy that costs 4500$ Huntley is very unique he spins when he wants to be let inside the sliding glass door. He likes ice cubes and can't go outside without rolling around. Huntley has been with us since 2020 and we want to keep him for many more years. My grandma is on disability due to a stroke and heart failure. We got Huntley for her as a support dog. His nose keeps bleeding and we just found out that his anemia is worse and we really need the CT to find out what is wrong. The vet has costed ~3,000$ already now 4500$

Mama Kitty
Mama Kitty is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Vermillion, MN, who needs $2,000 for Emergency C Section.
Vermillion, MN
My best friend found Mama Kitty before any injury but already has two cats and asked me to care for her. I agreed, and she has been living indoors with me in a quiet, safe room. She has a clean nest and steady food and water. Her three born kittens are nursing and warm. I’m urgently asking for help with a stray mama cat in my care. She was injured and put outside through a window by someone else. We later found her outside with a bloody eye and one newborn kitten. She had 4 total kittens, 1 was mummified, 3 are healthy and alive, and two are left unborn. She needs an emergency c section to give birth to the remaining kittens, or she could die. She is gentle even when she hurts. She nuzzles my hand and checks on each kitten one by one. She is calm with people and trusts me to help her. She is a careful and loving mother and still tries to care for the kittens she already has. I do not have savings. I do not have a steady income I am a college student, and I am on a housing program. Your gift goes directly toward her surgery and medical care. Getting her healthy means relief for me and life for her and her kittens.

August
August is a 8 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in St paul , MN, who needs $2,000 for Cancer Treatments, Chemo Infusions, Testing, and Surgery.
St paul, MN
August is an 8 year old puppy who ive had since he was 9 weeks old. He was born with under devloped eyes so he has been partially blind his whole life. He is a big snuggler and loves all types of animals, even being very gentle around rabbits. I am 25 years old and disabled. I work a part time over night job but im not even able to save up to afford the additional tests he needs. At the beginning of June, August was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and mast cell tumors after going in to Banfield for surgery to have some lumps removed. They sent us to AERC were they gave us a chemo plan and estimates of all the costs. He needs two different types of chemo medication given via IV and he needs tests to see where the cancer is coming from or where it has spread to. August is the best dog I have ever met. He is very gentle with my cats, and he is a very good puppy mentor. He loves to sit on laps and will give lots of snuggles, nuzzles and kisses. He loves to do zoomies and his tricks. He loves frozen carrots and spinach, but will do anything for cheese. If i could describe him in one word it would be "baby" because in multiple ways he is a big baby. I am disabled with a CADI waiver and live in income based housing, which is why I am trying waggle since the funds will go directly to the vet so it wont count as income. I am trying my best to save up, by my entire savings went to his surgery that led to his diagnosis

Cyrus
Cyrus is a 2 year old German Shepherd Dog in Saint Paul, MN, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Repair of a Fractured Humerus Bone.
Saint Paul, MN
Cyrus joined our family two years ago when we instantly fell in love with his puppy picture from a well-known breeder. Since then, he has brought immense joy into our lives. Cyrus' right humerus bone shattered when playing ball and is hospitalized. He is currently at the Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota waiting for surgery. Cyrus' gentle nature shines through in his special bond with our pet bunny, as they often lounge together in harmony. Cyrus also is great at comforting people when they are stressed or sad, he does this by sitting on your lap or using his nose to nudge for cuddles. A spirited pup at heart, Cyrus loves playing fetch, going on hikes, and enjoying car rides. This sudden major expense has depleted our emergency funds and with a fixed income, we find ourselves in a challenging situation. We are reaching out for support to help cover some of Cyrus's medical expenses. Your support will make a difference in his long recovery journey.

Xyla
Xyla is a 14 year old Mix-Breed in Eau Claire, , who needs $1,000 for Chemotherapy.
Eau Claire
Xyla was adopted from a rescue nearly 14 years ago, when she was a puppy and I was a teenager. She has been with me for nearly half of my life, and longer than I have ever known another animal. A couple of months ago, Xyla had a sudden swelling and bruising on her abdomen. On taking her to the vet, they immediately suspected cancer. She had a biopsy and mass removal and the mass was found to be a high grade Mast Cell tumor. She was referred to the Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota, where further diagnostics found cancer in multiple lymph nodes, so she will be starting chemo Even at 14, Xyla still loves her daily walks and occasional swimming (though only for seconds at a time.) Food is one of her favorite things, but she is a rather picky eater, especially when it comes to treats. She has 5 rescue cat siblings and has been foster sibling to over 70 cats and kittens. She is patient with even the tiniest kittens, teaching them to be comfortable with dogs. The past year has been difficult with vet bills. Two of my cats have special needs and need daily medication. One has yearly echos and another had diagnostic work and treatment for 2 UTIS in the past year. Another has an upcoming dental and treatments for severe feline acne.

Agnes
Agnes needs $2000 for MRI, Spinal Tap, Labs, Xray.
Excelsior
Agnes came into our lives about 5 years ago and she has a sister Turley. Agnes is sweet, loyal, calm, gentle and is a special blessing to her family. As grandma to Agnes, it is so difficult to sit by and not help in any way I can. I quickly fell in love with Agnes, as everyone who has ever met her has. Her momma Kelsey is devastated by these sudden turn of events for Agnes as you can imagine! Agnes has recently and suddenly fallen ill and after several vet visits, labs, xrays, and referrals, is now being referred to a veterinarian Neurologist for more diagnostics with an MRI and possible spinal tap to help determine diagnosis at AERC in Oakdale, MN. The fear is a meningitis that is somewhat common to frenchies. All of these vet bills have become quite expensive, as you can imagine. Sweet Agnes is my grand puppy whom I've come to love beyond measure. Her loving, gentle personality won my heart over. She is so affectionate, goofy and a huge fetch enthusiast. It breaks my heart to see such a wonderful girl down and out and not being able to help her. Her zest for life and loving humans is immeasurable and she terribly needs our help to get well and back to living life again. This sudden unexpected events have caused a huge financial strain on her momma. With many vet visits, that require payment up front in order to be seen has caused enormous financial burden. Any amount will help so much. If not able to contribute, prayers are very welcome!

Zeus
Zeus is a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Saint Paul, MN, who needs $2,000 for Integument - Wound Explore and Procedure.
Saint Paul, MN
We got Zeus when he was 8 weeks old, he is the most gentlest LOVING pitty EVER! we call him our gentle GIANT! He is very special to our family and is like another son to me. We have another dog as well as 2 cats ( Cooper, Smoke and Ghost ) they are missing their brother so much as he has been in and out of the hospital since Sunday 4/27 On the morning of Sunday 4/27, our friends dog lunged at Zeus and attacked him. Zeus had a large laceration under his eye and swelling on the side of his face while the other dog walked away without a scratch. Zeus has been in and out of the vet ( animal emergency & referral) everyday since and finally yesterday they admitted him for surgery. Zeus is beyond special to us, he is literally the biggest, strongest boy but is gentle beyond measure. He and his brother Cooper ( our shihpoo) are inseparable. Zeus loves the outdoors, running and chasing his brother and playing fetch. His favorite time of day is dinner time when he thinks he gets to eat moms plate. Our family would be so devastated if we lost him. Due to these unforesee circumstances I just cannot afford the surgery for Zeus to have his eye repaired. I apent my entire savings ($2000) on the past 2 visits and now I I am told he needs this eye surgery which is another $4500.

Boogie
Boogie is a 8 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $2,000 for Hospital ICU, Diagnostics, and Treatment.
Minneapolis, MN
Boogie came into our lives in 2017 as the 6-week old runt of the litter, and he has grown our hearts immensely since then. Our “first son” has always been there, from cross country moves to becoming a big brother to Kai, and we couldn’t imagine our lives without him. On April 18, Boogie began struggling to urinate/deficate. Less than 24 hours later, we learned that he would need intensive care and several nights of hospitalization to save his life. He is healing at AERC in Oakdale, MN, from a severe infection, has a prostatic cycst, is trying to pass foreign objects, and may require surgery. If you know Boogie, you know his massive, tender heart. Often described as an "intense" lover, he eagerly connects with everyone around him, offering as much love as they are willing to receive. This gentle giant is known for his close companionship, never leaving any space between you and him, and his unwavering determination to hold onto a ball. He is a cherished member of the family. This was a completely unexpected, sudden, and major expense. He went from totally healthy to needing a multiple night stay in the hospital, and potential surgeries, overnight. Your support would mean everything, and help us give him another chance at life.

Mellow
Mellow is a 1 year old Ragamuffin in willernie, , who needs $2,000 for Critical Care for Lung Collapse Related to Heart.
willernie
This is our sweet boy Mellow. He was a stray kitten that we took in. He is a 2 year old Ragamuffin. He is black and white with a black heart shaped nose. Mellow was first diagnosed with Stage 4 heart murmur. Referred to a Cardiologist, he was able to be sedated and be neutered. Unfortunately we also learned that he had a double chamber on the right venticle of his heart. We were told to watch for initial signs of heart failure. Just 7 days ago Mellow collapsed after getting up from his nap. After a vet visit he was advised further X-rays. Now is a sweet boy that warms up to kids and adults whether he knows them or not he enjoys walks and car rides and follows us around like a little puppy. He gives us harvest with his big paws has mittens. Through all this distress over the past week he has still kept his spirits high we are overwhelmed with not knowing if we will bring him home. He is our world and a blessing. The X-rays informed us he needed to be brought in the ER due to a collapsed lung and pleural effusion. Oxygen, hospitalization, radiographs and ultrasound are needed.

Willow
Willow is a 14 year old American Shorthair in Woodbury, MN, who needs $2,000 for I-131.
Woodbury, MN
Willow came into our lives one sunny spring day in 2010 after my son Miles' softball game. We visited the Animal Humane Society after ice cream. Miles was captivated by a litter of calico kittens, but one caught eyes with him. After some sweet cuddles it was a done deal! The name "Willow" whispered in my ear. We already had a cat at home (our October Coy) but thought he could use some company. The vet was concerned about weight/muscle wasting. No changes to her diet and appetite, but she lost weight from the last check up. After blood testing in December 2024, she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. The options for treatment aren't great for quality of life, except for the l-131 treatment, requiring exam, injection, hospital stay and boarding care at Animal Emergency & Referral Center. Willow's friends are October who passed in August 2024, and my grand-cat, Suki, She loves soft toys, blankets and the treat Purr Pops. Her fave toy is a crinkly unicorn cat, a plush mouse, and blue unicorn. She sleeps with them and carries the unicorn cat around while making sweet noises. One of the many things I cherish about Willow is her pure, gentle soul. She's truly my angel girl! I'm a Waiver Case Manager and Mental Health Practitioner. A career in social services doesn't pay much. I got insurance for Willow when she was a kitten and had to cancel it around February 2024 due to rising monthly costs. The I-131 would restore Willow's health, a miracle!

Hope
Hope is a 2 month old Labrador Husky in Silver bay, MN, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Stint Placement.
Silver bay, MN
Hope was a rescue and was found in a remote area in Northern Minnesota. She was approximately 5 weeks old at the time and is the runt of 11 puppies 9 of which are still living. She stayed with the family who had found her but they felt they didn't have adequate time to spend with her so they posted on fb she was available to a good home. I saw her and fell in love. Duluth Veterinary Hospital believes Hope has hydrocephalus a condition where the excess spinal fluid doesnt drain from her skull properly. Which has caused irregular head shape and vision problems. It can also cause seizures, brain deterioration, and death. They can place a stint to drain the fluid to fix it. If surgery goes well she could live a happy healthy life, with a normal lifespan Hope is a sweet snuggly puppy who struggles with her vision she Likes to play with her 2 cat companions (that she thinks are puppies) and her 13 year old boy (Tristan) she loves other dogs but seems timid with loud noises and things she isnt familiar with. she is a normal teething puppy but she doesn't chew on items unless they are given to her and her favorite food is oatmeal. This year has been a tough year for Tristan and I. His father's house burnt down a week before Christmas. I lost my fiancé (Tristans step dad) and I'm trying to stay caught up with bills but the adjustments been hard and after loosing my ziggy after 16 years. I needed HOPE!

Luna
Luna is a 9-year-old Mix in Mahtomedi, MN, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Removal of Mast Cell Tumors.
Mahtomedi, MN
Luna is a rescue and came into our lives by way of a pet shelter. We've shared 9 adventurous years together. She's traveled with us by car and plane as we've navigated life. Luna was the only one to be part of our wedding party. Today she is a big sister to our toddler and cat. Here are some photos that capture our Luna. She loves to swim out on the lakes, hunt ground animals, does a few tricks for treats, is great with our toddler, and has a little alter ego that comes out when she puts on a costume. Luna is 9 and we honestly feel that this energetic being has a lot more life to live. She's family and brings so much joy to us. We are sharing Luna's story and asking the public for help. We thank you wholeheartedly for your consideration. Our beloved furry family member, Luna, has 3 cancerous masses that the vet oncologist team feel they can remove via an operation with successful margins. The total estimate is just under 5,000 dollars. Already having spent around 1,500 on testing the masses and her heart, we don't have the funds to cover the operation without getting into debt. Luna's humans both passionately serve the public. It would be incredible to raise the total cost, however realistically we recognize that's a lot to ask, so we've set our goal to 2,000. Please consider donating what you can, even if we don't reach our goal every donation helps to offset the unexpected burden. We thank you!

Grover
Grover is a 6-year-old Lynx Point Siamese in North Branch, MN, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Vet Visit.
North Branch, MN
I accepted an internship in 2018 to complete my doctorate. My supervisor frequently gave harsh criticism of my appearance/performance and ignored my presence. I decided to volunteer at a cat shelter for a positive experience. I met Grover there and he was the sweetest thing. Prior to the next weekend, I dreamed that I returned and could not find him anywhere. That’s when I knew he was mine. Grover is sweet and laid back. He loves hanging out with his big sister, Nyra, and will mew politely at humans when he wants attention. Grover is aggressive with his affectionate head butts and kisses. When I first got him, he gave me so many kisses on my nose that it was raw from his sandpaper tongue. Grover also interacts with our dog, occasionally mewing at her and giving her nudges as well. Grover will play fetch. He loves these soft foam balls and will bring them to you after you throw them. He also enjoys keeping us company in the bathroom. He is so loving that he will kneed with all four of his paws while softly purring. Grover recently had severe issues requiring an emergency vet visit. He wasn't breathing well, had a very fast heart rate, low temperature, was very lethargic and was vomiting frequently. He received oxygen and overnight care at the Animal Emergency & referral center of Minnesota after his primary vet referred us. Grover has now been diagnosed with asthma and a heart arrhythmia. The ER vet visit was scary, unexpected and expensive. With his asthma and heart arrhythmia, He will need ongoing specialty care with a cardiologist. He is only 6 years old and relatively healthy otherwise. He got me through a tough time & I would like to return the favor.

Monroe
Monroe is a 3.5-year-old French Bulldog in Minot, ND, who needs $2,000 for IVDD Surgery.
Minot, ND
Monroe is a 3 1/2 year old frenchie. He has been with me and my three kids since he was nine weeks old. He is the best dog. He is so laid-back just loves to chill. He does get the zoomie at night right before bed which is the best. However, I may never see him do the zoomie again which breaks my heart. When we first got him, I honestly didn’t know if he knew he had a voice. It took him two weeks. Monroe loves to sleep in my bed where he nudges his face to get under the blankets and sleeps at the foot of the bed. That is his absolute favorite spot. Since his surgery he’s had to sleep in a crate so I know for the both of us it has been hard. Monroe loves to meet new people. He is always curious about everyone he comes into contact with. He loves go on walks. He loves to go to the dog park. One of his favorite spots in the house is sitting in front of the window when the sun is shining through. About three weeks ago, we got home and Monroe was panting uncontrollably just sitting down resting. His heart was racing and he was shaking. I called the emergency vet and he thought it was a pinched nerve. the next morning we woke up in Monroe couldn’t walk so I rushed him to the vet. There he was diagnosed with IVDD I had to get him to Minneapolis which is eight hours away for emergency surgery I was quoted that the surgery would range anywhere from $8000-$20,000. Over the last seven years it has been financially draining. While going through a very long drawn out divorce, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 37.

Violet
Violet is a 8-month-old Labrador in Clayton, WI, who needs $1,998 for Sacroiliac Luxation Repair Surgery.
Clayton, WI
Violet June is an 8 month old black lab who adopted our family in June of 2023. We weren't looking for a puppy, but she found us. Animals always seem to find a way into our house. She helped us to patch up the big hole left in our hearts after we lost our senior lab Sammy last Christmas. She completes our family of four humans, two dogs, two cats, and a hamster. Violet June is a lab pup through and through. Energy. All. The. Energy. She loves to swim, go for walks, play fetch, aggressively love anyone who will let her love on them, and snuggle with her "kids" any chance she gets. She lives her best life at our home in rural Wisconsin where she has plenty of room to roam and water to swim. Violet is genuinely happy to see anyone who graces her presence, as evidence by her tail wags, hugs, and kisses. She is known to chew the legs off of the occasional Barbie doll, but she is always forgiven as her puppy-dog-eyes are impossible not to forgive. She is also notorious for arriving to the kitchen the second the dishwasher door opens just in case there is something she can scrounge. Violet was hit by a car in front of our house on Dec. 19th, when she was out to potty before our family left for a hockey game. She was in the wrong place (road) at the wrong time (dark, when a truck was southbound on our road) and was struck. She was taken to the nearest emergency vet clinic in Oakdale, MN, and was diagnosed with a broken pelvis needing surgical repair. The last few months have proven difficult for us financially. This is the most unfortunate time I can think of to pay for an unexpected expense that is so many thousands of dollars. Its hard for us to ask for help, but we are trying anything we can to raise funds for Violet.

Ana
Ana is a 3-year-old Red Heeler/Shepherd Mix in St Paul, MN, who needs $2,000 for Hip Dysplasia.
St paul, MN
I found Ana in March of 2023. Her owner worked at a pet food manufacture and so she wanted a dog. Ana happened to be at the himane society so this woman chose Ana. Within a few weeks she determined Ana was more than she could handle and that is when I found her online. Hi everyone, my dogs Name is Ana. I am tearing up just trying to type this as I have an orange tabby indoorale cat and Ana loves him just as much as she loves him They play soccer in my apartment together which is really cute to watch. Ana is such a ball of laughs, she will whip her squeaky chicken back and fourth and loosen her mouth grip, and the chicken will fly. She has so much energy all the time she runs circles around other dogs at the dog park Ana's leash broke tonight, as soon as Ana realized she was not tied up she bolted. I tried to call her and she did return for a few seconds but took off again. Resulting in her running across our really busy street. She decided to come back to the yard and she was struck really hard by a car going high speeds. I brought her to the emergency room to learn the costs will exceed $3-7000 possibly more I am a disabled veteran receiving only $1900 a month. It may seem like a lot but my rent is $1040 a month alone which barely pays for anything else. My credit is bad so I don't qualify for most of the credit programs

Maverick
Maverick is a 7-year-old English Springer Spaniel in Coon Rapids, MN, who needs $2,000 for Therapy Dog Needs Surgical Procedures to Clear Extensive and Devastating Fungal Infection.
Coon Rapids, MN
Our sweet Maverick was donated to us by PrairieWind Springers in Slayton, MN. The breeders knew our family was in search of a dog to be an emotional support/therapy animal for our two special needs daughters, and offered a pup to us in the summer of 2016. Both of our daughters, Madi and Sydney, have had heart transplants and brain injuries, multiple surgeries, & global developmental disability. Maverick is the snuggliest, most laid back dog that ever lived. He loves to snuggle with anyone, and loves to go anywhere he possibly can with us. He is always happy to see his people and loves his little sister, Josie (also a Springer) even when she's being annoying. Maverick loves to get ear scratches and if you lay on the floor, that's his cue to come kiss you like crazy. Maverick can sense when you're having a bad day, and will even come lay on/with our younger daughter when her sensory system is going haywire. He provides pressure therapy for her without us even having to teach him. He has also come to appts at Mayo Clinic to be there for his girls, and even came to comfort Madi in the hospital after an extensive leg/foot surgery. He likes to wave to people. Maverick recently was diagnosed w/a fungal infection that has invaded his sinus cavity. It has destroyed tissue in the nasal cavity and even made a small hole in his skull. The vets at Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Oakdale MN will be treating him with some extensive procedures involving getting meds right into the sinus cavity. Two-ish treatments should kick this thing we hope! Our family has two kids w/extensive medical needs so only one adult is earning income. Maverick needs to be healthy to go back to his hospital and clinic visits and bring everyone the joy he's so famous for. He is a beloved family member and valued companion to many.

Jasper
Jasper is a 4.5-year-old American Shorthair Cat in Cottage Grove, MN, who needs $2,000 for Clearing of Urinary Blockage.
Cottage Grove, MN
We got Jasper in October 2018 as a 5 week old kitten that we found being given away for free on Facebook. He was the runt of his litter, but you would never guess that with how big he's gotten! Jasper has four animal siblings in the house with him (another cat, a dog, a beardie, and a bunny), but he is the one that we've had with us the longest, and he very much loves his smaller siblings. Although Jasper definitely goes where he pleases within the house, he very much prefers to be curled up on top of his tower or sprawled out inside of a tube or box. He really enjoys playing with stick toys and chasing after tiny balls, and he'll just as quickly flop onto his back to show you his belly. A very vocal boy when food is involved, he won't hesitate to stand on his hind legs to beg. Ever since we brought home our younger cat Andromeda, Jasper immediately took to being a big brother with her, cleaning her and cuddling with her (and the joint bouts of zoomies throughout the house). He'll also happily lay outside the pen of our bunny Momo while the two just sniff each other and lounge around. A common sight in the house is Jasper dragging his toys around, no matter the size! When Jasper started letting out sounds of pain and attempting to go outside his litter box, we knew immediately something was off. After a trip to our vet and transferring him to an emergency clinic, we learned that he had a blockage preventing him from urinating, and what few drops he could get out were tinted with blood. A week after initial treatment, and the issue has already returned. With two separate incidents, Jasper's issue has racked up over $7,000 in vet bills. As the first pet we got together as a couple, and at not yet even 5 years old, we know Jasper still has a long life ahead of him, and we are far from ready to let him go.

Banks
Banks is a 1-year-old Husky/German Shepherd Mix in Plymouth, MN, who needs $2,000 for Hemilaminectomy Spinal Surgery.
Plymouth, MN
Our sweet Banks came into our life on May 1, 2022 at 4.5 months old. We rescued him soon after his first surgery for subarachnoid diverticulum (spinal fluid). He was found at an ND reservation with rear limb weakness and was dragging his back legs. You would never know he had any issues because this boy loves to run! He also has four kitty sisters and is still learning his place in the pack.:-) Banks is pure joy and excitement! He loves to follow us everywhere we go. His favorite activity is to be chased!! He barks at us to let us know he’s ready to play, and we chase him around the house or yard. He absolutely loves it! He loves playing fetch with his squeaky ball ever day. His favorite place to sleep is on Mom’s side of the bed… he completely stretches out and kicks Mom to the edge:-) Banks is so silly and unique. Because of his condition, he has a bit of a wonky step… which makes him light on his feet and has a bouncy step! It’s so cute and he just has a pep to his step all the time! Banks does not care about your personal space. If you’re laying where he wants to lay, he will put his entire body in your face to get his spot 😂 He’s also known for his loud snores:-) Banks has been on daily medicine for a year to keep the spinal fluid down. Unfortunately, another cyst has formed at the same site on his spine, but on the right instead of left. It is significantly larger than before and is putting a lot of pressure on his spine, causing him to have limb weakness. His spine had reduced 30% in size. Without this surgery, he could lose the ability to use his limbs. Our family experienced a 5 month lay off starting in November, making finances tight. We already paid for his MRI appointment. Banks entered our life during a difficult time and has brought us daily laughter. We can’t imagine him not being able to run and be his goofy self.

Goose
Goose is a Siamese kitten in St. Paul, MN, who needs $1,500 for balloon dilation for kitten born with no rectum.
St. Paul, MN • Twin Cities Pet Rescue
Goose is a fighter. This little girl is the last remaining baby in a litter of 4 kittens born to their Snowshoe mom. Coming into rescue, Mom had just given birth and was in rough shape, not in good condition to provide the sole care of her 4 babies, so the babies have received supplemental tube feedings in their foster home with Twin Cities Pet Rescue. Now, Goose is in a fight for her life. Goose is a sweet little kitten, dealt a poor hand. Her short life has been filled with coccidia, tube feeding, skin issues, and eye infection. Goose has been diagnosed with Atresia ani, a rare congenital disorder where she has no rectum, and now needs surgery & potential lifelong management for incontinence. Twin Cities Pet Rescue has been hit hard financially during COVID. We survived 2020 and have been launched into a disaster of unexpected cases so early in 2021 -- senior cat with CHF, kitten needing FHO surgery, dog needing oral mass removal, dog needing entropian surgery. Goose and her sibling Maverick were diagnosed with a rare congenital condition, Atresia ani, which means they were born without a rectum. Maverick's prognosis was poor, and he was humanely euthanized after an overnight evaluation at a specialty vet clinic. Goose's outlook is better with partial development, but diagnosis is guarded, and the first step is a surgery to clear her rectal opening. Goose is a sweet Siamese baby, the last of her litter who were born with a host of medical problems, yet she continues to bring spunky kitten energy to her foster home. Her fosters have been invested in her care, no doubt building a special bond as the foster dotes their love and attention to ensuring Goose is as comfortable as possible.
