Kino

Kino is a 3 year old Rottweiler in Pottstown, PA, who needs $15,000 for ICU Respiratory Lung Support, Oxygen, Meds.

Pottstown, PA

Kino was born on 10/31 and was our Christmas present to the family. He was the biggest puppy with the biggest heart. He filled our home with love instantly. We always said we live with him!! He grew up with his Rottie grumble always ready to play. Won’t go outside unless we are with him. Loves to play ball and sit on the rocking glider. Always wanting to be touched or hugged!❤️ On 5/30/26 his breathing became labored so we rushed him to Metropolitan Veterinary hospital. They admitted him. His oxygen was down to 89. Xray’s, bloodwork, multiple procedures on his lungs Continuous oxygen supplied and antibiotics and steroids were administered to him. He is still there making slow progress just as of 6/7/26. He needs to be in ICU for continuous monitoring. We love him ❤️ Kino is our world. Our house is not the same without him. No big feet on the wooden floor, no barking, no banging on gate to see Mom, no bothering Dad to play tug, and no rumble playing with J which is his favorite pastime. Visitors need to greet him first cause he has such a big heart full of love. He means everything to us!!! He is more than just a dog, he is our everything everyday! Kinos bill has now reached 38,000.00 and we know this is major but he is our Boy. We love him!❤️. We are seeking heart felt donations so we can continue his care and bring him home. Donations can go directly to the hospital on his account. Anything would be appreciated.

Junior

Junior is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Pottstown, PA, who needs $5,200 for Lateral Suture Stabilization.

Pottstown, PA

Junior is a 10 year old rescue from To Love a Canine in PA. He is part Chihuahua and rat terrier. I adopted him when he was about 4 years old and knew from the minute I got him home that he belonged with me. He is my first dog. I have always had cats and currently have 4 cats at home. My one cat,Vinnie, came to live with me about the same time Junior did and these two are best buddies. Junior needs surgery on his back right leg as he has a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament. It happened when he was jumping out of the car. My vet said this is something that was happening over time. He is currently limping around and doesn't put much weight on that leg. It has slowed him down and just not his jolly little self. I will be using Metropolitan Vet in Norristown, PA. Junior is a certified Therapy Dog and is used to being on the go and visiting people. He comes to school with me (I teach first grade) and is loved by the whole school community. We often visit a local Veterans' Center and he has so many friends that look forward to seeing him on the weekends. We visit a local university and go back to where he trained to be a Therapy Dog. He's special! Yes I am a teacher and have an income coming in but I have other bills that have to be paid. This is an unexpected and very high bill that I did not expect. Yes I plan on my budget for vet visits and teeth cleaning but this threw me for a loop.

Cici

Cici is a 9 month old Siberian in Collegeville, PA, who needs $6,000 for Diaphragmatic Hernia Surgery.

Collegeville, PA

Cici came into my life as a gift from a friend, but she quickly became so much more than that — she became family. I live alone, and before her, my days often felt quiet and lonely. In just a little over a month, she has filled my home with warmth, comfort, and companionship in a way I never expected. Just a little over a month after Cici came into my life, I learned that she has PPDH, a congenital condition that may require surgery and specialized care. Hearing this was heartbreaking because she is still so young, playful, and full of life. Cici is being evaluated and cared for at MVA, and I am doing everything I can to give her the healthy future she deserves. Cici is the sweetest little soul. She follows me from room to room, stays close by my side, and somehow always knows how to make the hard days feel a little lighter. Even though we have only been together for a short time, our bond is already so deep. She is not just my cat — she is my comfort, my joy, and my family. Cici’s medical needs came so suddenly, and the cost is beyond what I can afford on my own. This has been overwhelming, and any support would help me get her the care she needs. Thank you for reading our story and caring about Cici.

Whenever her two little sisters got into bouts, she would always try and separate them. She is a loving, dog who would always try and play with anybody she could The last 8 yr since my cancer treatments, have been an uphill battle, for my health, the people that I love along with my financial position in life, all of this has been improving. I work at a shelter in PA and we pulled her. I adopted her in sept She lives in a loving home with her three-year-old dog sibling, who is her best friend. Malana follows her everywhere, Six months ago, Malana was diagnosed with a congenital liver shunt, a serious condition preventing her liver from filtering toxins. Her symptoms are worsening, and medication alone can’t help. The only solution is liver shunt surgery at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates to restore her health and give her a chance at a normal, happy life. Malana loves everyone and everyone loves her! She is very quirky and looks different! She makes people laugh by her facial expressions. She loves her dog sister. Has couple dog friends. Her 2nd birthday is coming up in may Liver shunt surgery is costly. I work 2 jobs, pay rent, and live paycheck to paycheck. Helping Malana get healthy would mean the world—she deserves a long, happy life.

Adeena Beane is a 7 year old Beagle in Orangeville , PA, who needs $2,000 for Thoraco-Lumbar Decompression.

Orangeville, PA

Adeena Beane has been raised since she was a puppy. She lives with my wife and I and her birth mom and 5 other dogs and cats. She loves being spoiled with a nice cushioned pillow. She is well taken care of ensuring all IVDD guidelines are in place with ramps going into or bed and onto furniture as she’s a fragile fur child. Three-years ago we found out Adeena had severe degenerative bone disease which required her first IVDD surgery (1/20/24). She went through recovery and rehab and was unfortunately stricken again on (8/2024) with her 2nd surgery and just 8/16 she was diagnosed with stage 5 IVDD needing surgery. She is paralyzed from her back in with deep pain. Adeena is currently being treated at Metropolitan Hosp Adeena Beane loves to cuddle with her momma. She’s a momma’s girl. She knows her momma is ill she stays close to her and will make sure she is okay. She will take her nose and push it up under the palm of your hand and insist on pets. Her big brown eyes will definitely captivate anyone. Due to my wife being extremely ill unable to work and maxing out credit cards this has financially put my us in a true financial hardship. Since this is our 3rd IVDD surgery and Adeena means the world to us. Euthanasia is not an option to us please consider helping.

Oliver is a 3 month old Mix-Breed in Media, PA, who needs $2,000 for Blood Transfusion.

Media, PA

Oliver was rescued from a Philadelphia kill shelter and brought to the Brandywine spca. He was one of 6 kittens in his litter and he was bottle fed by his first foster. He arrived to the spca the same day as 60 other kittens and they asked for fosters. He is a foster to adopt with us and he is having several medical issues. Including hypoglycemia and possible clotting disorder. Metropolitan vet has been providing us excellent emergency and medical care in Tropper, Pa. He has been admitted twice to critical care and emergency medicine in just one short month. He is less than 2 lbs and is just two months old. He is a very affection kitten. He is always purring and giving “kisses” rubbing his face against our noses. He is priceless to my 7 yo daughter who celebrated her birthday during all of this. They sleep near each other every night and he is her little shadow through out the day. We have accrued over $10,000 in medical bills for him to save his life & try to understand what is the underlying cause of his health issues so he can have a long and healthy life.

Abington, PA

In early summer of 2018, I found Elvis, his mom, and three siblings in a neighbor's bush and took them in. He was about five to six weeks old at the time. Recently he seemed lethargic so I brought him to the vet for blood work and was told his white blood cell count, electrolytes, and liver values were off the chart. I was told he needs to be admitted to an er vet but I can't afford it. Elvis loves watching tv (mostly bird videos), toys and temptations treats. He also likes getting kisses and will bow his head for one and follows me around the house. He'll become your best friend if you have food that he wants, too. Elvis is more than just a cat. He's my baby and I love him. I'd do anything to save him but I don't have any money. I don't know just how much I need to help him, but anything is better than nothing.

Leia

Leia is a 7 year old Great Pyrenees in Temple, PA, who needs $2,000 for Endoscopy and Ultrasound.

Temple, PA

Leia came into our life as a puppy when she was about 4 mo old. We drove to Ohio to get her from a working farm where her parents lived. We live on a hobby farm, but now she only has 1 sheep to ‘guard’ besides our family, incl. grandkids and her four legged siblings. She loves to spend her days outside, laying in the porch and making sure we are all safe. She barks a lot, even at falling leaves This Saturday Leia developed swollen hind legs and diarrhea with vomiting, so we took her to our regular vet (Douglassville Vet, PA). After many tests they sent us to Metropolitan Emergency in Norristown, PA for supportive care, where she is spending the weekend. She is loosing protein hence the edema - something is going on n her Gi track, but needs more tests done while she is there on Monday. Her favorite friend is Marton, the golden. They hang out all day and sleep together as well. She does love digging holes and laying in them, she loves long walks and wading in creeks. She follows the grandkids all over the yard, watches them play in the pool, and makes sure they are all safe. At night she patrols the perimeter of our yard before coming inside to sleep… she is the best. Our regular vet was $1270, and so far we paid $4k for her stay. She will need another ultrasound and endoscopy on Monday and possible more hospitalization. we aren’t sure where to get the rest of the money. She is the most loyal companion and means the world to all of us.

Phoenixville, PA

I adopted Sienna along with her brother, Rowan, from a local shelter last March. They have the run of the apartment, although they do have a room of their own with multiple cat trees and litter boxes. Sienna has been rapidly declining over course of a week, not eating or drinking, and very lethargic. I've already taken her to an UrgentVet and Veterinary Emergency Group over the weekend but unfortunately due to being low-income I did not qualify for Care Credit or ScratchPay and was only able to get her supportive care meds without a proper diagnosis and she is only getting sicker. She's a super sweet tortie who loves to play, snuggle, and is generally quite talkative. Her favorite pastime besides playing with her brother is to watch the birds from the kitchen window. I've been working 3 part-time jobs for the last several months after my contracting jobs dried up while actively searching for full-time employment. Unfortunately after two emergency visits in one weekend my savings is gone, along with my entire paycheck.

Leonidas found me when he needed a loving & caring home while suffering from parvo disease as a puppy. For months he fought so hard for his life, & eventually overcame the disease. He was dubbed The Miracle Pup by the doctors at UPenn, for his amazing recovery, & we have been enjoying life together ever since. Recently, now eight years old, Leonidas was diagnosed with a carcinoma in one of his anal glands which requires removal surgery. If he does not have the tumor removed, it will grow & spread to other parts of his body. If it is removed, he will live for several more years. Leonidas is incredibly intelligent, he loves to run errands & help me around the house. He enjoys helping me put groceries away, bringing me my slippers in the morning, and opening doors. He loves to be helpful & to spend as much time with me as possible. He loves hiking, cuddling, & chasing tennis bells. Leo is the sweetest boy who loves life and deserves more of it. A few months ago my other dog, Brooks, fell ill quickly, suffering from liver cancer. I went through my savings, all that I had to get Brooks’ treatments but it was very costly. Now Leonidas requires lifesaving surgery with costs starting at $5,000 and I need some help.

I went and picked him up that day may 2006 Othello is now 18. I have been taking excellent care of all these years. This cat has never been sick. I always kept up with his check ups, vaccinations, bloodwork and teeth cleanings. He has all his teeth at 18 Grade 2.. the past few months Othello was struggling to walk due to arthritis. I started the Solensia injections, after the 3rd shot his walking didn't improve. I then had X-rays done. This is my little buddy and I Love him with all my heart. I just want to know what is causing his lack of coordination/balance and help him to walk better. His X-rays showed no abnormalities other than his arthritis. I took him to Metro to specialist in Neurology and he didn't have a stroke nor has Vestibular disease. He was put on a Steroid & antibiotic with little affect. H e needs an MRI This was totally unexpected. He is very healthy other than not being able to keep his balance while walking. He is eating & drinking. King of Prussia, PA

My cat Cinnamon first entered our lives in 2021. I saw a Craigslist ad of someone giving away a Bengal cat nearby and wanted a friend for my first cat Kiko. I contacted the person and found out it was a young college couple eager to give up their cat without running a background check on who’d they give her to or even asking for money. They were leaving the country and needed to rehome her asap. On 5/11 Cinnamon came out to me choking and struggling to breathe. I ran to put her in the carrier and rushed to the 24/7 animal ER. They told me if I wasn’t home she could’ve died at home. I am so thankful she is still with us. She is still struggling to breathe and has been in an oxygen box for the last few days. She is currently at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates in Norristown, PA. I slowly acclimated her to my home with her now sister Kiko (a chonky tabby). It took a few months of me making her feel safe and welcomed in my home. Her sister was very curious of her and wanted to meet her quickly but I wanted to be extra cautious. They always sleep next to each other every night and during midday naps. Everytime I prepare wet food they come out walking to the kitchen together. I’m asking for donations because with each night she stays and tests they need to run, the bill is going up very quickly. Originally I was told on the high end it would be $3500 and now I’m being told it’ll be a high $7200. I am struggling to pay bills while this all happen.

Two is a 5-year-old Pit Bull Mix in Philadelphia, PA, who needs $2,000 for 4 Mast Cell Tumor Surgeries.

Philadelphia, PA

I adopted Two when he was about 1yo, and after I adopted him I learned that he came to me with heart worm, Lyme disease, allergies, and a bad knee. We went through treatment for heartworm which was extremely challenging for both of us. He was also very anxious moving to the city, so we went through a lot of training! He now is able to live in Philly and he loves his walks through the neighborhood. It is just me and Two that live together in our apartment and we are very bonded! He always wants to be near me or snuggle up against me. He loves socializing with friends and neighbors and wags his tail really fast whenever a human comes up to him. He will lay on your lap or roll over for belly rubs. Two has a unique waddle, and many strangers have commented on how cute his walk is. We also hear a lot that he "looks like the happiest dog I've ever seen" when he's bopping down the street. People love to comment on how "densely packed" he is - and how fast he wags his tail and butt when he gets excited. He is also very vocal and many people compare him to a seal. Two was recently diagnosed with at least 4 mast cell tumors. The tumors must be removed surgically to be able to determine how advanced they are. His vet thinks that he is a dog who may continue to develop these tumors over time due to underlying health issues. This situation is heartbreaking because due to financial constraints, I cancelled Two's pet insurance a few months before he was diagnosed with cancer. It is so important that Two receive this surgery so that we can biopsy the tumors to see if the cancer is advanced.

Shortly after he was rescued & taken to a city shelter, he had two, gran mal seizures and needed a safe place to land where his medical needs could be addressed. Finding Shelter Animal Rescue is no stranger to epileptic dogs, so he went to a loving, experienced foster home where he could begin to heal and thrive. Banjo is the sweetest, most mellow and loving boy. Two of his family members from the hoarder house were also rescued along with him, so he is happy to have them as companions and playmates. Banjo loves to cuddle and nap resting like a baby in your arms. He is loving, happy, and so very sweet. Banjo loves to nap. He can fall asleep anywhere inside or out in the yard even with lots of activity going on around him. Even from a deep sleep, he can pop up, go into full play mode and then quickly fall asleep again! Banjo had two gran mal seizures and seemed to have some vision issues. He has been evaluated by an ophthalmologist who diagnosed him with partial retinal detachment but confirmed that he is able to see. The neurologist suggests an MRI as she suspects possible brain swelling or genetic issues and as a double cryptorchid will need a surgeon to neuter him at the time of his MRI. Banjo had a difficult start to his life in a hoarding house. His medical costs are estimated at $5,000 and we want him to have every chance at the best health so he can find his forever home. He is a very special dog and deserves to be healthy and happy.

Sammy and I live together in an apartment with his foster sister (another tabby) and my fiancé. We spend most of the time together in our apartment since we work from home! He is such a goofball and loves to play with wand toys. Unfortunately, due to his situation early in his life he is very skittish but once he is comfortable he will be sure to allow you to rub his belly! He loves to explore new places and loves cardboard boxes. When he’s in a playful mood he loves to sprint around our apartment to catch a spring or puff ball toy! Sammy is so handsome but not the smartest at times. He loves to watch his sister play with treat puzzles because he can’t seem to figure them out! He sleeps face down in the ground when he is super sleepy. He hates all closed doors and will do his best to open any door. He would also do anything for treats! Sammy has had UTIs/crystals in his bladder. Over +7mos we took him to our vet several times to assure he wasn’t blocked and give him fluids after his episodes. He dropped to a level of lethargy that we have never seen before and he was vomiting multiple times a day. We took him to the emergency vet who told us he was blocked, needed a catheter, and will need surgery for bladder stone removal. He is my sweet orange boy. He is the best cat in the world and I would do anything to see him happy again. It hurts seeing him so weak and in so much pain. Months of cleaning out bloody urine and hearing him wince has been devastating.
