Felix
Felix is a 8 year old Ragamuffin in Weaverville, NC, who needs $4,000 for Hospitalization, Catheter Post Urinary Obstruction.
Weaverville, NC
Felix came into my life 8 years ago, my mom had found him listed on craigslist when he was 6 months old, but the family couldn’t keep him. He was originally intended to be my mom’s cat, but he decided that i was his person and that was that! Felix and I just moved last month into our own home. He’s been my licensed ESA animal for the past 3 or so years- although he’s been helping me since day one. Due to how close Felix and I are, i noticed symptoms as they escalated, and on August 8th took him to the Emergency Vet. I caught it in the early stages, but Felix’s bladder was obstructed. He has FLUTD, or Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease, which is a chronic condition. Poor boy tried to chew his boy parts off due to the pain. He is being cared for at South Asheville Veterinary Emergency. Felix is my everything. He may not know he’s a licensed ESA, but he takes his job very seriously. I have Complex PTSD, and other mental and physical disabilities. Felix literally wakes me up daily and gives me a reason to live. I take better care of myself in order to provide for him. I leash trained him at a young age, so when given the chance, this indoor cat loves to adventure and hunt moths. I am in the long process of getting disability, and so blessed to have just gotten housing through the state. I am on a very fixed income, and the estimate for Felix’s treatment cost is at $4000. I cannot put into words what this cat means to me. He’s my entire life.

Delilah
Delilah is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Columbus, NC, who needs $6,000 for Balloon Dilation (2 treatments).
Columbus, NC
We adopted Delilah and Otis 3 yrs ago. I fell in love with Delilah instantly. She is so soft and small. The shelter said she was 6, had been a stray and had chronic rhinitis (prior nasopharyngeal polyp). She may get sneezy and snotty, but occasional antibiotics will help. We brought our babies home and Delilah has run the house since. We added Henry a year later. We are complete - 3 kids, 3 cats. Delilah's case is urgent. A nasal scope discovered a severe restriction, preventing proper drainage and causing recurrent infections. Her most recent flare up was incredibly resistant. She ended up being hospitalized for 3 days. We almost lost her. If we don't have the balloon dilation procedures done by Dr. DeVanna at SAVES in Asheville, NC, we are waiting for the infection that kills her. Delilah is very affectionate, on her own terms. She has never met a lap she didn't like, but can be bribed with blankets. She sleeps between us every night, making room if there is none. She loves pets and will paw at your hand for more. Just don't pick her up! She longs to be an outdoor cat again, so we bought a leash and harness and a mesh, pop-up "playground" so she can be outside safely. After 3 years of vet visits, cultures, compounded medications, the nasal scope, and her recent hospital stay, we have no emergency fund left. We will be devastated if we lose her just because we can't afford to save her again. Please, help us save Delilah.

Cujo
Cujo is a 5 month old Yorkshire Terrier in Candler, NC, who needs $8,457 for Fracture Repair Tibia & Fibula.
Candler, NC
Cujo is our tiny Yorkie with the biggest personality. He came into our family and quickly became one of our babies, not just a pet. He lives with us and his Yorkie sister, Petunia, and the two are inseparable. Cujo follows us everywhere, always wanting to be part of whatever we are doing. He has brought so much laughter, comfort, and love into our home, especially during difficult times. This morning, Cujo was involved in a traumatic accident and suffered a severe injury to his leg. He is currently under veterinary care at, South Asheville Veterinary, where the team has told us he will require emergency surgery and may even need an amputation to save his life. This was sudden and unexpected, and we are devastated. Our focus is doing everything possible to relieve his pain. Cujo is pure joy. He greets us with excitement every day, loves to cuddle, and brings comfort just by being close. He has a gentle soul and a playful spirit, and he shares a special bond with everyone in our family. He especially loves being near his sister Petunia. Cujo has been our emotional support, our shadow, and our constant companion. He isn’t just a dog,he’s family, and he is deeply loved. This emergency has come during an already difficult time for our family, with ongoing medical and personal expenses. We were not prepared for such a sudden and costly surgery. Any support will help us cover Cujo’s emergency care and give him the chance to heal.

Fern
Fern is a 4 year old Maine Coon in Asheville, NC, who needs $2,000 for Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD).
Asheville, NC
Fern has been with us for four years, since he was a six week old, palm-sized kitten and now weighs in at a whopping 17 pounds (a healthy weight for his breed). He is the sweetest, most loving gentle giant and has been a constant in our lives when nothing else has. Fern has been diagnosed with Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD). I've bought the special UT cat food from the vet (Hills), gotten a Feliway pheromone diffuser and an extra litter box, and done everything possible to reduce his stress (which can trigger this condition), to no avail. Fern has been a great comfort to my 9 year old daughter, Mara, whose father is battling cancer. Last year, we lost our other kitty, Bramble, to feline leukemia. Our hearts are so battered and bruised and I would do anything to spare her another loss. I'm a single mother in graduate school living on a teacher's salary of less that 30K annually. I've charged over 6K for Fern's treatment so far and he's not out of the woods. He remains catheterized in hospital and will die without treatment.

Athena
Athena is a 1 year old German Shepherd Dog in Cullowhee, NC, who needs $2,000 for Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis.
Cullowhee, NC
Athena is 1 years old, she has been apart of our family since she was 3 months old. I saw a craigslist post about puppies needing a home or they would be taken to the shelter so we grabbed athena. She makes our family whole she has 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Her best friend is our dog Cash they are obsessed and have been since the day she came home to us. Athena was diagnosed with Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and is in desperate need of hospitalization. She will survive is she is taken care of by the emergency vet. But we have to have funding to cover that. She is losing all of her fluids she can’t keep anything inside her blood pressure keeps dropping due to that she can’t walk or stand. Athena makes the household complete. Without her it is so quiet in the house. She has been in the hospital for 1 night, the house and the animals are not the same. Athena’s best friend Cash is missing her so badly she only wants to sit in the yard and wait for Athena to come play. She is the sweetest girl in the world she loves cuddles and walks to the creek. We have no extra funding. The money we make strictly takes care of our needs no extras. We spent all of our rent money the first night trying to save her. Generously my husband boss loaned us $1555 to pay for 24 hrs of hospital. We have to pay him back weekly. We have no $$$

Lulu
Lulu is a 2 year old French Bulldog in Fairview, NC, who needs $2,000 for Foreign Body Removal from Liver.
Fairview, NC
LuLu, her sister, and momma are still trying to start recovering from hurricane Helene. We just got back home and momma is struggling to get the house back to "normal" and head above water. LuLu came to me when she fit in both of my hands and has been with me every single day since. She is my saving grace, accountability, heart, and soul. LuLu somehow swallowd a sewing needle and it's traveled to her liver. The hospital is wanting more then I can afford. I lost my income because of the storm and until I get my home back up and running I'm scraping pennies and living on prayers. Some of us are still trying to recover and barely getting help with that.. LuLu has more sass and attitude then any furbaby I've met. She loves to love and she loves attention. She struts in the room and it's all eyes on her. LuLu loved her sister Baby. Above all she is her momma's saving grace. Its amazing what 1 small animal can do to a person's life. She helped change me to the me I am today and I pray I don't lose her.. As I stated above I'm struggling like most Western Carolina folks after the storm. I've been spending the last year of my life fighting for my home and property to get rebuilt. I've been trying to get on disability for the last 3 years and no luck..living on prsyere

LuLu
LuLu is a 2 year old French Bulldog in Fairview, NC, who needs $2,000 for Surgery - GI Foreign Body.
Fairview, NC
I was handed a little smooch face puppy they were calling Chevy... I was asked to dog sit... Well she has stayed with me since. I had her 5 mins and she got her big head stuck in a chip bag.. her name was changed to LuLu.. she picked it her self... The lady had no idea that when she asked me to dogsit that she handed me my saving grace. So Lulu somehow ate a sewing needle and it's broke off into 2 pieces. They have to get it out and pray it doesn't go into a major organ. I lost my income because of hurricane Helene and were still trying to recover from that. Lulu is a attention heffer.. she walks in the room and all eyes on her. She loves her sister Baby.. and she can't be away from mom. She is my happy and peace. If u met her u would understand why she means so much to me. She is learning about smaller animals and she loves them.. she loves everybody.. Hurricane Helene has stopped my income.. we were awake and scared to death. We had a mudslide stop literally 3 ft from my back door. My house has been deemed as unsafe.. So I've been battling FEMA to get the money to fix my house so I can start recovering.

Maylin
Maylin is a 4 month old American Longhair in Arden, NC, who needs $2,000 for Peritoneopericardial Diaphragmatic Hernia Surgery.
Arden, NC
Maylin was rescued at just a week old from a hoarder house with over 40 cats during COVID. As a tiny kitten with no mommy, she was bottle fed and cared for tirelessly by the the amazing rescue that took her in. At 4 months old, Maylin and I were connected and she's been by my side (literally!) ever since. She lives with me and her little brother and resident pain-in-the-butt, Dallas and myself. Maylin was brought into the vet because she was having a recurrent, scary sounding cough. We discovered she has a pretty severe case of peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic hernia. While she was likely born with it (we suspect inbreeding from the hoarder situation), it has worsened over time and the vet says she likely only has 30% lung capacity as well as affecting her heart. I have no words to describe how much Maylin means to me. She was a COVID cat (adopted in the middle of COVID) as because I've worked from home since, I joke that we are somewhat codependent. Through some very difficult times, Maylin has been the light of my life and best friend and I don't know what I'd do without her. Truly. We live in Asheville, North Carolina which was devastated by Hurricane Helene. While we were safe, it disrupted my work and I am still recovering financially. I will only be able to cover about half of her medical costs, and without support, it is unlike we can move forward

Morgan
Morgan is a 7 year old Siberian Husky in Asheville, NC, who needs $2,000 for TPLO surgery.
Asheville, NC
In 2021 we were living in an apartment complex in Asheville, Morgan belonged to our next door neighbor. She was treated extremely poorly and when they had a baby, they decided to rehome her. Enter us! We asked if they would rehome her to us and they said yes! She was 12 lbs under weight, abused, kept in a crate too small for her so we took a few months to rehab her and now she’s a service dog! About a year ago she was diagnosed with a partial CCL tear and was put on strict exercise rest and no jumping. Over the last year it unfortunately worsened and tore fully last month. She is now being seen by Dr.McNicholas at SAVES here in Asheville. Where she will receive a TPLO surgery for her left hind leg. The surgery is approximately $6100 at the most expensive point. Morgan is my seizure alert and cluster headache alert dog. She provides alerts 20 minutes ahead of a seizure by smelling the chemical change in my body and then she was trained to tell me by using a colorful tab that she picks up (it hangs on her collar). She is also trained to make me sit and to apply deep pressure therapy to reset my nervous system. Morgan saves my life every single day My wife and I are on Disability and make a combined income of 16,000 a year. Monthly I make 628 and I’m trying desperately to work and make money to pay for the surgery. Having Morgan be able to run and play and eventually come back to work would be life changing

Gus
Gus is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Hendersonville , NC, who needs $2,000 for IV, Chest Tube, Blood Work, X-rays, Inpatient.
Hendersonville, NC
Gus came into our lives 5 years ago when he started hanging out on our porch. We found out shortly before we moved in 2022 that his people abandoned him. We decided to bring him with us when we moved to our new house. And he's been with us ever since. Gus had his name when he came to us. We took us to our vet on Monday 9/23 due to coughing & struggling to breathe. X-ray showed fluid around his lungs. We were referred to FETCH in Greenville for today but I changed plans due to his condition this morning. I took him to VEG where fluid was removed & transferred to SAVES. He now has a raging infection and a chest tube. Waiting for pathology results on white blood cells. We love Gus so much. He's our sassy Sour Patch Kid that loves lap time. And has the most beautiful blue eyes. He's never been sick before. I hate seeing him this way. It just makes me cry every time I see him. I want to make his pain and breathing issues better. His brother Linus misses him too. We were lucky enough to get pet insurance. But it looks like that's only going to cover a little more than half of what this may cost at the end. And honestly will pretty much wipe our savings out if it goes anywhere close to or over the high estimate.

Trixie
Trixie is a 5 month old German Shepherd Dog in Clyde, NC, who needs $2,000 for MRI.
Clyde, NC
My dad rescued a full blood German Shephard on 6/29/24. While on his way to feed horses he heard some loud whining where no other animals are normally. He found her laying in a creek, weighing only 9lbs at 5 months old due to malnurishment & parasites due to neglect from whomever abandoned her. He has since taken her to vet and as of 7/26/24 she is now up to 29 lbs in the short amount of time. She was born back/spinal issues causing her to be incontinet and has trouble walking long distances. due to this we believe she was left for dead on an old mountain road. Currently unsure if surgery or extensive therapy will help her recover. Not looking to recoup any funds - only help raising money for MRI with SAVES. Trixie is very friendly and willing to learn new commands, loves to run and walk but struggles. Always pulling herself up, plays well with older siblings (humans & other dogs). Loves to bark, loves water and tries to play with older border collie. Fun ball of energy who loves attention. Currently retired and on a fixed income - trying to raise money to financially support Trixie and all her ongoing medical needs. Next item on the list is an MRI to check her spinal cord and see what the next steps are and if surgery is needed.

Bento
Bento is a 2 year old Siberian Husky in Fairview, NC, who needs $2,000 for Cataract Surgery for Both Eyes.
Fairview, NC
We rescued Bento from a hoarding situation when he was about 6 months old. He has been the joy of the family ever sense. He is so sweet with our cat and our two daughters. We even call him the baby sitter as he never leaves our new baby alone. He is the best dog I have ever met. At around 1.5 years old, we noticed grayish-white circles appearing in his black pupils in his eyes. We took him to the vet who referred us to a veterinary hospital called SAVES (South Asheville Veterinary Emergency Specialty. They informed us he had something called juvenile cataracts. He is 80% blind. Without surgery, he will loose his eyesight and likely develop glaucoma. Bento loves being called "good boy." He is the best boy and so sweet with everyone he meets. His favorite activity is lounging on the couch with the cat. His favorite spot in the car is right next to our baby's carseat. He loves going to the French Broad River dog park too. I recently spent a lot in medical bills following my at risk pregnancy and risky induction and baby's follow up care. I do not have any extra money for Bento's surgery at this time. The surgery is going to cost close to $5,500.

Finnegan
Finnegan is a 4 year old Maine Coon in Asheville , NC, who needs $1,500 for Emergency Surgery for Impacted Stool with Suture.
Asheville, NC
Finnegan is our 4-year-old Covid kitten, rescued during the pandemic to bring joy to our family during a dark time. He lives in Asheville, NC with mom, dad, and the love of a sweet teen girl who is devoted to adoring him; plus his mentor, older cat, Sullivan, and his partner in crime, 15-pound terrier, Indiana. He goes by Floof, Foo Cat, Finny Foo, Baby Cat (as the youngest), and Mr. Man. Finny has had 2 rectal prolapses in 30 days requiring 2 ERsurgeries at S.A.V.E. in Asheville, totaling $4k. After the first surgery, he had impacted stool, requiring suture removal and replacement. He is now experiencing the SAME after his second surgery - an emergency. He also suffers from cystitis. An internist visit with ultrasound has been recommended for diagnosis. Our family is out of funds. Finnegan is the sweetest most loving boy. He is a cat's cat who spends his days snoozing in the sun, chasing butterflies, ridding the yard of moles, and sitting patiently on his perch (aka, the trash can), waiting for wet food. He is so chill that we can wrap him around our necks - and he will just hang out there for a while. We have spent the entirety of our cash savings saving Finnegan's life in the last 30 days and have nothing left for the procedure he needs today to save his life. He is the light of our home and to have him safe today and on his way to diagnosis is our most fervent hope.

Kiwi
Kiwi is a 13 year old Chihuahua in Barnardsville, NC, who needs $2,000 for Fracture Stabilization/ Plate and Screw Fixation.
Barnardsville, NC
Kiwi was born in Sunny San Diego, CA, which is also where I had rescued him. During my meet-and-greet with Kiwi, he instantly climbed into my lap and proceeded to nuzzle my sweatshirt in an attempt to get underneath it. At that very moment, my father had said, “he’s the one” and I couldn’t agree more. Fun Fact: Kiwi is named after New Zealand! Kiwi has experienced significant blunt trauma to his front right leg due to a horse pawing at him. This resulted in an open fracture, the breaking of both leg bones (Radial and Ulna), an infection, a visit to the ER, as well as a trip to the specialty hospital for surgery to implant plates and screws. Kiwi is also living with Cushing’s Disease and continues to exemplify positivity each day. Kiwi is the most adventurous, gregarious and exploratory little man with a happy soul. Kiwi has joined me in traveling all around the US, and loves to be carried in his backpack or “porta-bed” (doggy purse). He loves to be outdoors and strives to be included in all sorts of activities and is eager to capture the heart of each and every person he meets. To Kiwi, you are always enough. This year has been tough for me and has left me with many unexpected financial burdens. I am seeking support for Kiwi with the hopes of extending the incredible bond and partnership we share, plus the knowledge that he has many more years to live and adventures that await.

Dani
Dani is a 4 year old Siberian Husky in Asheville , NC, who needs $2,000 for ACL Surgery.
Asheville, NC
Dani came into my life a little over four years ago just before the Covid pandemic. Having this spunky puppy during this difficult time, definitely helped keep my spirits up. Since then, she has brought me so much joy and laughter as we share many good times in the great outdoors of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A few months ago, Dani started limping and after some minor treatment, it was determined that she has a partially torn ACL and will need surgery to repair it and return her to a normal, comfortable life. South Asheville Veterinary Emergency and Specialty in Asheville is being trusted to help Dani through this process and recovery. Dani loves to be outdoors and recently became a big sister to my newest puppy Sky. They have become best friends so quickly, and have such a lovable, playful, mischievous relationship. Dani’s sweet, chill personality definitely makes her very popular with my family members, both human and canine, as well as friends and neighbors. Personal, unexpected medical bills have caused some difficulty in being able to quickly save up enough money for Dani’s surgery. It would mean the world to have her leg healthy again to resume her normal activity and not be in pain as soon as possible.

Ginger
Ginger is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Canton, NC, who needs $2,000 for Surgery for Amputation and Complications.
Canton, NC
Ginger came into our lives over 5 years ago. She was a rescue from, "not good people". I saw her and knew we had to save her. She's one of us. She sleeps with us and uses her paws to express how she feels. Ginger loves to talk. Especially, when you ask her what is wrong, she will tell you. Hi everyone. My name is Ginger. On 3/15th I was attacked and mauled by another dog and barely survived. My doctor thought I would lost my life, but I am a real fighter and hanging on. I suffered deep lacerations and wounds in my head and in my left leg. After a few days in the hospital it was determined I would need my leg amputated. I underwent the operation but the tissues are dying. Ginger is very special to our family. She is so loving. She loves to give kisses to an extreme. She loves to talk. When she has something on her mind, she doesn't hesitate to tell you know. Her front paws are another way Ginger expresses herself. She love to pitter patter with her front paws. Ginger gets along with everyone. She loves our other dogs, and give them daily kisses. My husband got relocated to another state about a month ago. I am here trying to pack up the house, and manage the household by myself. When Ginger was attacked, going back and forth to Asheville and her being my priority, I left my job sooner than I was supposed to.

Crumpet
Crumpet is a 1.5-year-old British Shorthair Cat in Arden, NC, who needs $2,000 for Spinal Trauma.
Arden, NC
Crumpet is one of our six incredibly spoiled indoor kitties. We, as well as all of his housemates, were adopted From their original owners due to lifelong behavioral or medical issues. Crumpet was attacked by Brie (one of our other kitties) and apparently bitten towards the base of the tail which has resulted in him being in able to use his left rear leg.. We are at the ER now. Crumpet was given to us by his owner that was unprepared for his kitten energy. He loves to play as most young cats do but is also the snuggliest baby we have. My husband was *chosen* by Crumpet the very day we met him and the two have been inseparable since. We are currently at SAVES being assessed. I don’t have more information than that at this time. Radiographs are a given but the concern is spinal trauma which could possibly result in a longterm disability I lost my job in January and simply can’t take on additional debt until our finances improve. I am an active board member of Asheville Cat Weirdos but unfortunately because of that, I am ineligible for financial aid through our non profit.

Demi
Demi is a 3-year-old Cat in Leicester, NC, who needs $2,000 for Front Leg Amputation.
Leicester, NC
Hi, My name is Juliana and I'm raising funds for my cat Demeter (Demi) who was attacked by a dog on January 20th. She had a few puncture wounds on her neck but her elbow was also broken, along with torn ligaments. She unfortunately had to have her leg amputated. Demi is one of the surviving two kittens from her litter of five. She has a brother named Hades. Although she is almost four years old she is a small little baby. She tends to hang out on my shoulders, or launches herself into my arms. No matter the distance. When I received the news that she would lose her leg, my heart instantly broke. I received the estimate of 4000-6000 dollars for the procedure. I've put every last dime I have into her bill as well as applied for care credit and I am unfortunately unable to reach the amount needed. This waggle is my last resort. I really need your help but most importantly, Demi really needs your help. Anythin I need help with $3,000 more to bring my baby home. Anything anyone can help with is greatly appreciated. Demi is currently at SAVES on Hendersonville rd. I've already pain in $7,000, i just don't have anything left. I just can't lose my girl, I have to bring her home with me so I can get her better. Help me bring her home.

Maezie
Maezie is a 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier in Brevard, NC, who needs $2,000 for Stent & Possible Scope Procedure.
Brevard, NC
Maezie was rehomed to me 1/10/23. I immediately fell in love with her & we have been together since. She got sick in July & after failed attempts to get her well, she is now at am er hospital in Asheville, NC. She has been poked and prodded & we are waiting on urine cultures & bass cancer tests. We are hoping it is just a super bacteria & not cancer. Ins is capped out & funds are now zero. Maezie loves to go on super long walks & sniffathons. She loves older folks (like me, LOL) & anyone in a wheelchair or walker. However, she is not fond of men in general. She loves my granddaughter who takes care of her from time to time. She still barks at my son & daughter in law. She sleeps with me every night & will sometimes get under the covers. Maezie has a couple of "boyfriends." They are Tux & Teddie. If I am not quick enough with her meals or treats, she will let out one bark while she is perched in the recliner. Which, she has claimed as hers. She gets overly excited when she sees her "treat lady" when we head out for our walks. Her whole rear end will waggle & she will start whining till she gets her treat. At this point, we are not quite sure why she can not empty her bladder or why her bladder wall is so inflamed & thickened. We are waiting on culture & cancer tests to come in. She is being supported by drs & staff at the South Asheville Veterinary Emergency Services in Asheville, NC. She has a catheter in place to help her empty her bladder. Maezie's ins. has capped out. I am on a fixed income (SS retirement). My son & DIL have done all they can financially & my credit cards are maxed out. There is really zero available funds. I would be totally lost w/o Maezie. The thought of putting her down kills me.

Chance
Chance is a 4-month-old Mastif/Cane Corso in Brevard, NC, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.
Brevard, NC
Chance and his siblings were dropped off at the animal shelter. I saw the first post on them and thought they were gorgeous. After a few weeks I decided if they were still there I was going to go meet them. Chance stole my heart the day I met him. His brothers were jumping wanting attention. He sat next to them with this look in his eyes. I knew right there I loved him. He came home. Chance is wild but sweet. He loves to chase the chickens. Just to hear me yell at him so he can run and jump into his pool. He loves his goat brother and loves to snuggle. He sleep with me on th ever and thinks he owns it. Chance has a personality like no other animall. He makes me laugh everyday. Even when he sneaks off with my shoes. He loves his pool and attacks his water bowl. Chance was running and doing zoomies the other morning when he slid and fractured his growth plate in his knee. He needs surgery to have it repaired. Took him to the emergency vet and that when we were told. Unexpected cost. Chance is a puppy and he’s still growing and a long life ahead of him. We do not won’t him suffering for the rest of his life in pain.

Lady Ingrid
Lady Ingrid is a 9-year-old Domestic Longhair Cat in Candler, NC, who needs $2,000 for Enucleation Surgery-Removal of Cancerous Eye.
Candler, NC
I had been looking for a cat for a while but wanted to make sure I was helping a cat in need. Eventually, a friend told me there was a barn cat that he knew of so I told him to bring her over no questions asked. She hid for 2 weeks in the walls of our home, left for 2 more, came back pregnant, and the rest is history. After her adventure she warmed up to us and is nothing less than family. Lady likes to wake up to fresh water from the sink in the morning after admiring herself in the mirror. She enjoys a fresh pour of food even if the bowl is full. She enjoys climbing her kitty jungle gym that we have made on our walls and teasing her brothers Mayonnaise (cat) and Marshall (Great Pyrenees) from the highest platform. A nice walk on her harness and some fresh grass snacks are a fav. Lady Ingrid is certainly a classy lady. She will always look her best and she is known to stare at her own beauty in the mirror. She loves to snuggle under the covers at night with her humans and won’t think twice about kicking her brothers out for some one on one cuddles. Lady has been diagnosed with feline diffuse iris melanoma. She is in need of an immediate eye removal surgery to keep this very aggressive cancer from spreading. It can spread very rapidly and although we are very sad about having to remove her eye, we are grateful and hopeful that this will save her life. This is definitely a sudden major expense for us. We have been quoted at 3,000 not including necessary prior ultrasounds. Payment is due in full day of. Without this immediate surgery lady’s cancer will rapidly spread to her other organs and she will not survive.

Spike
Spike is a 13-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Clyde, NC, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Removal of Carcinoma in GI Tract.
Clyde, NC
My sweetheart and I adopted Spike from Catman2 Shelter in January 2021. He was supposed to be foster to adopt to see how well he got along with our other senior kitty, Boog. He absolutely stole my heart less than a day after we brought him home. Who was I kidding? He wasn't going anywhere. He has been the most wonderful addition to our family! Spike is the sweetest boy. He loves to snuggle up on your chest or be the little spoon. He only likes head pets, and we respect boundaries in this family. We adopted Spike because our other sweet senior, Boog, needed a friend after her older sister passed in October 2021. I was nervous because Boog had never been around other cats besides her sister. Spike was the purrfect choice. We are so lucky. Spike is the first cat I've had that isn't chatty. Instead of meowing, he mrrrps. The only time he really meows is when he's about to have zoomies. It's like the countdown to start the race in Mario Kart. Spike's big sister is SUPER chatty. It's adorable to see how they have influenced each other over the last 2.5 years. Spike mrrrps at us much more often, and Boog makes the zoomie start up noise. Spike had 3 emergency vet visits from mid December 2022 to early March 2023 for ongoing GI issues. We did a lot of blood work and other tests and nothing was really telling us why the issue kept coming back. The vet recommended that we get him an ultrasound. In late May, the ultrasound showed a mass in his GI tract. Unfortunately, it is cancerous. He needs an expensive surgery to remove it. We spent about $3000 just to get to this point in his diagnosis. The surgery will cost about $4000. Spike and Boog both have their annual check ups soon, plus Boog has an appointment with a cardiologist. These sweet seniors are racking up vet bills faster than I can keep up.
