We rescued Kenji and his brother Oso from a poor living situation where they had to fight to eat. We brought him home at about 8 weeks old and have given him and his brother the love they deserve. They have learned their food is theirs and they no longer have to be the first to the bowl. Kenji got his name from the Japanese meaning of strong. Kenji’s illness showed signs on July 22nd prior to finally finding out the issue. Our family had been traveling from vet to vet with them all doing test after test to tell us there was something showing in his radiographs but not know what it was. We have finally found out that surgery was urgent. He had intussusception where his intestine was moving into the other intestine blocking his GI. Kenji loves to play with his brother. He loves to chase balls. His favorite part is when he puts us on high chase to try to retrieve the toys from him. He is usually a very active and playful pup. I had the ability to pay a majority of the vet bills. Due to the extensive amount of visits due to unknowing of the cause each vet charged. At the end I was then put into a bind with another large estimate for surgery after my finances had been depleted.

Millie

Millie is a 4 year old Boxer in Harrisburg, PA, who needs $1,500 for Mast Cell Tumor Removal.

Millie was the last of 12 pups in the litter. She was born 45 minutes after the others so I had to help bring her into this world because mom was preoccupied. Millie is now 4 years old and she is such a gentle soul. She is my 1 year old granddaughters best friend and protector. Millie resides with her Mom, Dad and brother. We noticed a lump on her leg a few months ago and it's cancerous. Millie is scheduled for surgery in mid August to remove the tumor from her leg. They will then determine what stage the cancer is in and determine treatment details. We are currently taking Millie to Valley Road Animal Hospital in Enola, PA. I look at the lump on Millies leg and I wish there was something more I could do for her. She's only 4 years old and deserves to live a full life. Millie is what you would consider a digger. She loves to hop on the bed and dig her way under the covers. She doe her best to play catch but being a boxer sometimes her short snout doesn't work with her. She loves my granddaughter and is good with everyone. She's is very gentle and a good snuggler. The surgery for Millie came about unexpectedly and will have to be paid in full as our vet doesn't accept payments. As of now we have a full house with the dogs, kids and my granddaughter living under 1 roof. Times are tough and this surgery will make things difficult.

I like to say the universe brought us together. Mia is a 10 year old female tuxedo cat who has had a ruff start and for the past year has moved from one household to another. I was cat sitting for her previous owner for almost 8 weeks when she decided she cannot take her at her new location. I stepped up to adopt to give her a consistent home. She has two broken front teeth and an advanced case of gingivitis. Dr. Is concerned if teeth are not removed it can cause an infection that would make matters worst. Mia is the sweetest, smartest and most well-behaved pet I have ever encountered. It makes me sad how her two previous owners neglected her care when she’s so easy. She’s a smart older lady, attentive, very social, gets along with everyone. She becomes a full huntress whenever we play with the laser lights, and likes to check on me every morning by sitting on my chest. As I have just became Mia’s owner this month and previous owner did not forewarn me of any medical issues. I just do not have the finances to assist with the surgery right now, and would like to give her stable home in her golden years.

I adopted my sweet boy when I moved to Omaha Nebraska in 2011. He has been by my side and has moved to the east coast and back to the west with me. Please find it in your heart to help me help him. My sweet boy has never had any issues up until this morning he suddenly started to meow excessively and is unable to use his back legs. From what I am reading it could be saddle thrombus. He is really special because he chose me. He has been my constant companion since the day I brought him home. I have another sweet boy and they are best buddies. I am not sure what one would do without the other. I am needing help for emergency vet bills. I am a single person who does work 2 jobs one full time and one part time, but in today's economy that still is not enough to stay afloat let alone get ahead. My sweet boy needs help ASAP.

Posie was 1 of 7 puppies. The breeder passed away and they were now her daughters responsibility. We got my daughters deaf Boxer/Bulldog mix from the daughter. With so much going on in her life and 7 puppies, 1 with special needs, she reached out to see if I was willing to take her. Neither one of us wanted to see her put down. Without hesitation, we set off on a 5 hour drive to pick her up. Posie has Spina Bifida.She has weakness in her back legs and is incontinent and uti prone. We took her to The Ohio State Veterinary Clinic. Her case is rare but there is a specialist who works there. Her nerves are attached to her skin through the gap in bones of her spine. The surgery would detach those nerves.The earlier the better so as growing doesn't pull and cause her condition to worsen. She is the sweetest little soul. She tries to keep up with everyone and does a great job considering she walks on her back elbows instead of on her paws. Her legs will get tangled on each other because of their weakness. She is always happy and loves squeaky toys, especially her elephant "Maive". She falls asleep at night to puppy lullabies. She brings joy & kisses to everyone she meets. I am a preschool teacher, I don't make alot,but love my job. I don't have the type of money her mri and surgery would cost. The vet said the sooner the better to have her best chance at a healthy life. I don't want to let her down just because I can't afford what she needs.

Kali came into our life 11 years ago. Found her outside alone at around 2 weeks old. She is a sweet tuxedo cat with a mustache and a bob tail. We immediately took her in and cared for her. She is what made us cat owners. We have 1 other cat 7 years old and a small dog 3 years old. Kali is the OG and Queen of the house. Her name Originated from the Hindu Goddess who represents time and change. Kali's front left arm has become unresponsive, no broken bones, no dislocation and the doctors cannot figure out the issue without a CT scan and further neurology consultation. From blood work to xrays, the only thing is a large circular mass. Further testing will be needed. Our main vet is Monroe Rd animal hospital, and we were referred to Care Charlotte animal hospital for further examination. Kali loves hiding at first but will cuddle anyone coming her way. she loves bursting milk treats and staring out of the window looking for birds. She is amazed by the reflection light makes in a mirror, so it's kind of like playing with the laser toy. She used to love rolling around on her back and showing off for belly rubs. She just loves being around and hanging out. In between jobs and a low paying small business, this was an unexpected cost for ongoing treatment, from the CT scan to Neurology consultation then any further treatment to fix the issue. For now, she has some pain meds, and we are making her comfortable. Giving her love.

Hello, We live in an apartment in Colorado Springs Colorado. Our beloved best friend and my sons ESA is Rascal. She is 17 years young. She loves to play at night, watch the birds and squirrels and peruse the yard for anything exciting. She is very spoiled and loves " room service" when time to eat But, she is slowing down and needs to have bloodwork done WE moved from WA State where Rascal was treated in Tacoma at the Feline Radiology Center for Hyperthyroidism. She was doing well but in the last few months we have noticed she is losing weight. This might be kidney issues as we were told to watch and have bloodwork done regularly. This was done 2 years ago at Willow Tree Animal Hospital. At that time her kidneys needed to be "watched" Rascal is the most loving friend and is my sons best friend. They live for each other. She follows him everywhere and loves when he plays in the grass with with her then get treats after. She loves me too and gets on my bed every morning to let me know its breakfast time I am a senior on a limited low fixed income and with no vehicle its hard and expensive for my son to get to work consistently. Rascal has lost weight in the last couple months and I believe it could be her kidneys. WE need to have bloodwork done to help her and save her.

My daughter found rocko running down the street one night while she was working.. when she got him in the car he was not in a good way,his head and face was so swollen and he couldn't swallow it hardly eat, I took him to his vet got his shots and had him evaluated, he is blind not sure if he was born this way or whatever tragedy happened before I got him made him this way. My sweet Rocko has heartworms, I spoke with my vet and the told me it would be 4-500$ for me to bring him in. I don't have that kind of money right now but he is getting worse by the day, the coughing, the swelling it hurts my heart to see him like this!! Rocko is such a good dog, he loves everyone he comes in contact with, and he loves to eat. When I first got him he never barked or anything. As time has passed he has warmed up to everyone and he is the king of the House... It would mean so much to me if he could be him self again. I definitely can't afford 400 or a 500$ vet bill, and my baby is fighting so hard to live, but he's getting worse by the day and it's so hard to watch and I don't wanna have to put him to sleep he's my baby boy..

Jojo was 6 years old when her previous owner left her. I heard her previous living situation was really bad and she was neglected a lot. I offered to foster her for a month and ended up keeping her because she's such a sweet soul and we've bonded so much. Jojo had pancreatitis and the vet wasn't sure what caused it. She was critically ill and the illness affected her kidney. The doctor said if we had brought her in a day later she wouldn't have made it. She stayed at the vet for a week and had multiple blood tests. Fortunately, she just came home from the vet and is now recovering. Jojo is curious, adventurous, loving, and kinda a stoic. Her favorite activity is going on our daily walk and claws at the door when it's time to go out. Our best memories are us sitting on a porch people watching and her climbing a tree. She never breaks things, scratches, bites or begs for food, and stops eating when she's full. She loves to snuggle and eats when I eat. She's happy all the time. The bill is 6000$. I'm a grad student, make very little money. I get paid 1800$ for 10 months a year, and I have to pay taxes and 3000$ of mandatory school insurance. I am not allowed to work outside of school. I owe my friend the vet bill and I really need to pay him back.
