Clover
A Painful Leg Shouldn't Define Her Future: Help Clover Walk Comfortably Again
Boiling Springs, SC • South Carolina Community Cat Project
Clover is a sweet kitten with a bright future ahead of her—but first, she needs help leaving her pain behind. Recently, Clover was diagnosed with severe radial nerve damage in one of her front legs. After thorough veterinary evaluation, it was determined that the damage is permanent. The affected leg is no longer functional and cannot be repaired. While this diagnosis is heartbreaking, there is hope. Veterinarians have determined that amputation is the best option for Clover's long-term comfort, mobility, and quality of life. The damaged leg is not helping her—it is causing ongoing challenges and preventing her from living the active, pain-free life she deserves. The good news is that cats are incredibly resilient. Many three-legged cats go on to live completely normal lives. They run, jump, climb, play, and enjoy life just like any other cat. Once they are no longer carrying a painful, non-functional limb, many actually become more active and comfortable than they were before surgery. That is the future we want for Clover. The South Carolina Community Cat Project is raising $500 to help cover the cost of Clover's amputation surgery, medications, and recovery care. As a rescue organization committed to helping cats in need, every dollar makes a difference and goes directly toward giving Clover the second chance she deserves. Clover has already faced more obstacles than any kitten should. Now she has an opportunity to move forward without pain and enjoy the happy life every cat deserves. Please consider making a donation today. If you're unable to donate, sharing Clover's story can help us reach more people who care. Together, we can help Clover take the next step toward a brighter, more comfortable future. 7/25/26 Update Clover has healed and now adopted! Thank you so much for your donations! We appreciate it!

Gizmo
Gizmo is a 10 year old Siamese in Lowndes, MO, who needs $950 for Emergency Exam, Diagnostic X-ray, Etc.
Lowndes, MO
Gizmo came into my life in May 2016. I've had him from the very first day he was born & we've been through all things life TOGETHER.The last 2 photos says so much about our bond. The very last one was from 10 years ago when he was just a sweet kitten... my fur baby please help me get him in to the vet. I drove an hr away & tried taking him today but they wouldn't see him because I had no $. Right now, Gizmo is in severe pain & I'm not sure what is going on. He can barely stand or walk and I hate seeing him in pain. He’s had UTIs & struvite crystals in the past & I know his patterns & this is entirely different & affecting his ability to move. The way he is acting i know its serious & I don't want to lose him. This month marks exactly 10 years since Gizmo came into my life. I've had him ever since the day he was born & he has been my constant companion in every season....through every storm and a part of my every day life. He has brought so much joy in my life & I owe it to him to get him the care he needs but because of past vet bills & the price of everything especially gas I am financially drained. Because of his Struvite reoccurring Struvite crystals & utis over the past year & 1/2 & 3 separate vets i spent over 2000.00 in visits/treatments & it drained all my emergency savings. So now this & i am begging please help me get the care he needs. I dont want to lose him

Cotton
Cotton is a 2 year old Snowshoe in Fort Worth, TX, who needs $1,200 for Amputation of degloved tail.
Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue
Cotton is a 2-year-old community cat who has been lovingly cared for, neutered, and vaccinated by a dedicated caretaker in his neighborhood. He’s not just another stray—he is known, loved, and looked after. Recently, his caretaker noticed something was seriously wrong with his tail. What appeared at first to be an injury turned out to be far more severe. Cotton’s tail was partially missing, degloved, and had sutures in place—indicating that someone had attempted to amputate his tail and then left him without any follow-up care. By the time he was brought to the vet, the remaining tissue had become necrotic and badly infected. \\\\\_\\\\\_Why He Needs Help\\\\\_\\\\\_ Cotton is now in urgent need of a full tail amputation to remove the dead and infected tissue and to stop the spread of infection. Without this surgery, he will continue to suffer and his condition could become life-threatening. Despite limited resources, his caretaker did everything she could—recognizing the severity of his condition and reaching out for help. She has even contributed financially toward his care, and we are incredibly grateful for her compassion and responsibility. Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue has stepped in to take over Cotton’s medical care so he can finally get the treatment he desperately needs. \\\\\_\\\\\_Cost of Care\\\\\_\\\\\_ Cotton’s surgery and aftercare are estimated at \\\\\_\\\\\_$1,200\\\\\_\\\\\_. This includes: \\\\ \_Surgical amputation of the tail\_ \_\\\\\_ Treatment of infection \\\\ \_Pain management\_ \_\\\\\_ Post-operative care This is an unexpected emergency on top of several recent critical cases, and our resources are currently stretched thin. \\\\\_\\\\\_How You Can Help\\\\\_\\\\\_ Every donation goes directly toward Cotton’s medical care. No amount is too small—each contribution brings him closer to living a pain-free life. If 50 people donate $25, his surgery will be fully covered. Cotton has already endured unimaginable pain, but with your help, his story can have a much better ending. Thank you for supporting cats like Cotton who have no one else to advocate for them. 8/1/26 Update: Cotton is healing well from surgery! Thanks to your generous donations, Cotton recieved the necessary tail amputation and is healing very well. He is listed for adoption and we're certain we're going to find him the perfect home 😻

Murphy
Please help sweet Murphy who was diagnosed with ocular FIP.
Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue
Sweet Murphy has been diagnosed with ocular FIP. If you’ve followed us for any amount of time, you know FIP used to be a death sentence. Not anymore. With treatment, these cats can live full, healthy lives — but the medication and monitoring are expensive, and the protocol is intense. Murphy will need: • Specialist exams • Diagnostic testing and labs • Ongoing monitoring • 84 DAYS of FIP medication And we are committed to every single day of it. Murphy is already a tripod, so he’s faced more than his fair share of challenges in his short life. Losing a leg didn’t slow him down one bit — he’s sweet, resilient, and full of love. He is a fighter. And because he’s a fighter, we have to fight for him. But we cannot do this alone. His Waggle fundraiser will directly cover his exam, tests, labs, and the full 84-day course of life-saving FIP treatment. Every donation, no matter the size, brings him closer to a cure. Please donate if you can. Please share if you can’t. Please help us give this incredible little tripod the future he deserves. Murphy is worth the fight. 🐾💛 5/30/26 Update: Murphy had found his forever home! Thanks to your donations and support, Murphy successfully completed treatment for FIP and his final labs show that he is cured! He has been adopted with his friend, Jane, and is living his best life 😻
Hank
Hank is a 2 year old American Shorthair in Oakland, CA, who needs $2,000 for Bilateral Femoral Head and Neck Excision.
Oakland, CA
We've enjoyed the company of cats over 22 years of marriage together. Hank came to us when we were seeking a companion for our pandemic-kitten, Mavis. He was listed as an urgent-needs adoption because his foster, a true angel, needed to move. Upon meeting him, we could tell despite his wary nature, he was also a very lovable guy needing a safe home where he could escape a bad start in life. Hank's adoption name was "Freeway" because that's where his foster spotted him being discarded from a moving car! X-rays show fractures in his hind legs that have resulted either from injury as a kitten, or a neutering procedure gone wrong. Whatever past trauma, Hank's condition is becoming more complicated and cause him tremendous pain. He tends to be reclusive, defensive, and walks with a limp With some pain management, Hank is an entirely different cat. He interacts with us and with Mavis, stalks butterflies outside the window, and *loves* gentle pets and belly rubs. He's still cautious of tother people, but finds safety and comfort in our small family. He sleeps with us at night, and wakes us in the morning needing some attention. Both of us are without permanent jobs due to lay-offs and disability. We're working it as hard as we can with entrepreneurial ventures, but things are pretty tight. The surgery Hank needs was never anticipated and will make a significant impact in our situation.

Tyson
From Forgotten to Found: Tyson’s Road to Recovery
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
You wouldn’t believe it if you didn’t see it yourself—just two tiny eyes glowing in the dark, peeking from the middle of an empty field. That’s where we found Tyson, a little black Lab puppy who had been tied up and left behind. His ear was torn, raw flesh exposed, and his body was weak from days without food. His owners didn’t want him anymore, so they tied him up to a tree and abandoned him. When we approached, Tyson didn’t growl or run. Despite the pain, he looked up at us with eyes full of hope. We rushed him to safety and began treating his wounds, easing his pain, and helping him rest for the first time in days. He’s now in one of our quarantine rooms, eating small meals, walking again, and slowly learning that the world isn’t as cruel as it once seemed. Tyson is still healing. He’s on a custom medical plan with a special diet, daily wound care, and Bravecto to protect him from parasites that could put his fragile immune system at risk. Tyson, and every pup in our care, receives individualized attention, because that’s what it takes to undo the harm they’ve survived. Your support can help Tyson continue this journey. Just one donation helps provide food, medical treatment, clean bedding, and the safety he’s never known until now. Please help us give Tyson the chance to grow into the happy, healthy puppy he was meant to be. Update 9/8/25 Tyson has adjusted very well into the rescue's quarantine room where he is being treated before he can interact with all the other dogs. He is bunking with dogs Mufasa and Mizo and is happy to be their friend. He is a happy pup and his ear injury is slowly healing.

Harley
Harley is a 8 year old Australian Cattle Dog in Alexander, NY, who needs $2,197 for Multiple Dental Extraction Under Anesthesia.
Alexander, NY
Harley is a service dog, trained to help me navigate life with autism and fibromyalgia. He can provide deep pressure cuddles to help with sensory regulation, guide me to help with mobility, and alert to my physical needs by reminding me to eat, drink, and take medications. He also senses when pain flares are coming so that I can be prepared. Harley needs to have a few teeth extracted at Flint Veterinary. As a service dog, it's necessary to keep him up to date on his care so that he can perform his job without issue. Dental care is especially important at Harley's age to prevent infection or other diseases that can begin in the mouth. Leaving these teeth in would put him at risk for heart, lung, and liver trouble farther down the line. At home, Harley is a goofball with a huge personality. He loves to squeak his toys, horseplay with my boyfriend, and sprawl out for belly rubs. His favorite game is to steal my warm seat on the couch whenever he gets the chance. Harley takes his job very seriously though- as soon as the vest goes on, he knows he is "on the clock". He won't sway from his duties for any amount of food or pets. I'm on a fixed income due to my disabilities. Despite being necessary for my health, insurance doesn't cover service animals. Dental work isn't covered by any service dog funds either. It would take much longer than is safe to wait for me to save this money on my own.

Samosa
Urgent Ear Surgery Needed to Stop Samosa’s Painful Hematoma
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
When Samosa was rescued from the streets by the Stray Animal Foundation of India, he was quietly suffering. His ear was painfully swollen from an aural hematoma—an internal blood blister caused by repeated trauma or infection, common in street dogs who are left untreated for even the simplest of injuries. Samosa’s condition needs urgent attention. He requires diagnostics to assess the full extent of his condition, surgery to drain and repair his ear, and neutering to ensure his future is safer and healthier. Without this care, his ear could become permanently damaged or lead to chronic pain and infection. Despite everything he’s been through, Samosa is gentle, trusting, and full of heart. He wags his tail at every kind hand, every soft word. He knows he’s finally safe—but now he needs help to heal. Please help us turn Samosa’s rescue into a true recovery. Every contribution—big or small—helps get him one step closer to the healthy, pain-free life he deserves.

Rufus
Rufus needs urgent care for severely infected eyes
Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club
When a kind-hearted Good Samaritan went to feed a small colony of community cats, they never expected to meet Rufus. Unlike the others, Rufus didn’t shy away—he walked right up to them, purring and pressing his head into their hands, desperate for love. But what broke their heart even more was how badly he was suffering. Rufus was skin and bones, so frail and thin it was a wonder he could stand. His fur was matted and dirty from struggling to survive outdoors. But the most shocking of all were his eyes—so red, swollen, and infected they were barely open. It’s a miracle he could see anything at all. Despite it all, Rufus was unbelievably sweet—rubbing against legs, asking for pets, trusting humans. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club took him into their care. After seeing his condition, they immediately took him to the vet where he is now hospitalized and receiving intensive care. He’s being treated for malnutrition, dehydration, and painful eye infections. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is a small rescue that helps cats like Rufus receive the care and love they need to get their second chance. Please consider donating to help them cover the cost of Rufus's treatment. Update 8/14/25 Rufus is doing great in foster care. He has energy to play and loves attention. He goes back to the vet soon for more bloodwork and to re-evaluate his eyes.

Rusty
From a Rusty Crate to a Real Future — Help Rusty Heal
West Palm Beach, FL • Adopt A Cat Foundation
Rusty was found abandoned in a managed colony of community cats—left behind in a rusty crate, with an empty food bowl, dry water dish, and a filthy litter box. Clearly once an indoor cat, Rusty was terrified, emaciated, and confused. He had been discarded like trash. Luckily he ended up in Adopt A Cat Foundation's care. Rusty was finally on the path to recovery when he suddenly fell extremely ill. A volunteer noticed he was lethargic and clearly unwell—when his temperature was taken, it read 106°F, a dangerously high fever. He was immediately rushed to the emergency vet, where he is now hospitalized. Veterinarians have discovered that his bile duct is enlarged, possibly due to triaditis, and he is also suffering from an ear infection. The full extent of his illness is not yet known, but he will remain hospitalized overnight and likely longer, with additional diagnostics and treatment needed. The cost of Rusty's treatment is quickly adding up. Please consider donating to help Adopt A Cat Foundation give him the care he desperately needs to be healthy and live the life he deserves. Update 7/30/25 After struggling with diarrhea, an additional diagnostic test revealed that Rusty was infected with coccidia, a GI parasite. This can make cats very sick but thankfully it is very easily treated. Rusty is on the mend with a new medication to kill the parasite.

Bao
Bao is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Lutz, FL, who needs $2,000 for Foreign Body Surgery and Hospitalization.
Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue
Animalluvr's Dream Rescue Animalluvr's Dream Rescue rushed Bao, one of their adoptable dogs, to BluePearl after he experienced some worrying symptoms including lack of appetite, vomiting, and just not acting himself. After x-rays and bloodwork, it was discovered that poor Bao has a foreign body stuck in his intestines. It’s impossible to know what it is based on the imaging, or how long it’s been there. His current treatment plan is stabilizing him and then discussing next steps with a surgeon. However, with his blood pressure and electrolytes not being where they should, the surgeon is not comfortable performing surgery. The current plan is to continue aggressive fluid therapy and recheck his levels soon in hopes he will be stable enough for surgery. This bill is unexpected and we already have so many vet bills we owe for the other animals in our care. We will do whatever it takes to help Bao, but we NEED your help. Update: Bao has recovered amazingly well after his foreign body surgery. It is still unclear what he ingested but we will be keeping a very watchful eye on him. He is back at his foster home with his other half Tang while they wait for their perfect forever family! We are so incredibly grateful Bao is back to himself, but our bills still remain. The cost of his ER hospitalization and surgery is approximately $10,000. Please donate!

Perla
Perla is a 10-month-old Mix in SCOTTSDALE, AZ, who needs $250 for Leg Surgery and Urgent Care.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ • HannahPearl Rescue
Perla is a young puppy that has many health problems to overcome. Found on the streets of Mexico, Perla was in extreme discomfort from mange and an infected tooth. Upon further investigation, it was discovered she also had a fractured right hip. While the exact cause of the fracture is unknown, it is suspected to be from blunt-force trauma. Regardless of what happened, the fracture caused extreme pain and made it difficult for Perla to walk. Luckily, HannahPearl Rescue, a non-profit organization in Arizona, took Perla in determined to provide the treatment and care she required. Perla requires an extensive hip surgery that will result in her ability to move around pain-free. She also needs all basic care such as vaccines, spay, and preventatives. Even with her painful condition, Perla has revealed her resilient nature and radiates happiness. She is extremely friendly despite the trauma of her past. HannahPearl Rescue aids abandoned, abused, and homeless dogs. These cases often require extensive medical treatment and result in large invoices. Please consider donating and helping Perla receive the care she needs!

Norman
Norman is a 7-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $486 for Surgery for Removal of Mast Cell Tumors.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Hungry and with no one to care for him, poor Norman started wandering around a construction site, where the crews were tossing him food. Norman was finally rescued and the mast cell tumor on his neck was removed. Norman was then transferred to our Sanctuary so that we could provide the specialized, lifetime care he needs. A hound that loves everyone, Norman is as sweet and gentle as they come. He is a friend to all the hounds at The Sanctuary and is adored by his caretakers. Although he's dealing with cancer and came to us with a heavy intestinal parasite load that's been treated, Norman doesn't let this get him down. Norman loves to snuggle with his caretaker and take long naps on her bed, squeezing his little body as close to hers as he can get. And, if other hounds want to join in, he's even happier. No one would ever suspect that Norman has cancer and he's an inspiration to us all. We've started Norman on medications that will help his body cope with the histamine reactions caused by the mast cells. We are also using a combination of traditional and holistic medicines to give Norman every chance possible for a comfortable life. Sadly, Norman developed two more tumors that need to be removed. As a non-profit animal sanctuary and hospice, we rely on donations to provide the best medical care possible. We've already raised funds for many of Norman's lab tests, but we need help with his surgery bills. Can you help this sweet soul?

Taffy
Taffy is a 7-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $800 for Dental Surgery for Gum Disease.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Part of a threesome, affectionately known as The Triplets, Taffy came to The Sanctuary with her blind littermate, Truman and her special needs littermate, Tootie. Both needed medical care for their heart conditions that was not forthcoming in their previous situation. Sweet as the candy, Taffy is the most outgoing of The Triplets and is the strong one that holds the group together. Originally, not a special needs hound, we saw immediately how sister Tootie depended on Taffy for her support and comfort and we knew we could never separate them. Blind Truman also seeks Taffy out for comfort and for guidance in new situations. Taffy definitely has her own needs for human companionship. She’s a sweet, sticky hound that loves her human caretakers, shares their bed and comforts them when they are ill. She's also the alert hound, always watching over her friends and letting us know when someone is doing something that needs attention. Taffy now suffers from an auto-immune disease of her eyes, called Pannus. Thankfully, eye drops have been able to put her in remission and when it flares, we increase her medications. She also inherited a gum disease, despite regular dental care. This has become painful and Taffy needs to have 15-20 teeth extracted. Animals come to The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue when they have no place else to go and need medical care beyond what is available at a typical shelter. As a non-profit rescue, we depend on donations to pay for vet bills and are deeply grateful for all help available.

Benjamin
Benjamin is a 10-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $65 for X-Rays to Assess Elbow Tumor.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Benjamin joined The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue when he was just three years old, and quickly became an excellent meet and greet dog who enjoyed doing therapy work with humans. No matter where he went, he had a kind and sensitive way that helped humans relax. He was always ready to show others just how amazing Greyhounds could be. Goofy at times, playful at other times, Benjamin often doesn't realize his large size. He's known for trying to squeeze himself into a beagle-sized dog bed. True to his greyhound breed, Benjamin sleeps a lot, too. He sings along when the hounds start "roo-ing" and is always interested in the "goings-on" at The Sanctuary. Benjamin developed many health issues, including a severe heart murmur, high blood pressure, and kidney disease. He stopped working events and was more comfortable staying in the house and keeping his caretakers' company. About a year after his initial illness, Benjamin developed a bulging disc in his neck that causes pain from time to time. Medications and diet have helped. Now Benjamin is fighting a new medical battle, and he needs your kindness. He’s developed an inoperable, benign tumor on his right elbow. It’s growing quickly and has been causing pain and lameness. We need to take an x-ray to see if the tumor is affecting his underlying bone. Dr. Tom Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital is treating Benjamin. We provide lifetime care for animals with medical needs and rely solely on donations to pay for their vet bills. We have raised funds for Benjamin’s recent lab tests but need help with getting donations for x-rays. Please help if you can. Thanks!!

Agent
Agent is a 12-year-old Maltese in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $1,800 for Periocular Biopsy.
Los Angeles, CA
In 2012, I adopted a 1 year old maltese from Lange Foundation and it was the best decision I have ever made. He was rescued from a horrible puppy mill situation, had been adopted and returned to the foundation. They warned me he had bitten the previous owner and a volunteer but I saw a terrified, stressed little guy that just needed some patience and love. 11 years later and he's my ride or die! Agent went from not wanting me near him those first few months to always being by my side today. He goes everywhere with me - doing errands to moving across the country - always making friends along the way. I jokingly say, he is shaking hands and kissing babies! He knows how to work the room with his big brown eyes and black, button nose. Agent is a true character. He hops like a bunny when excited. More of a city guy, he prefers to walk on concrete rather than get his paws dirty. His favorite ball, and only toy he's ever played with, is bigger than his head. He plays hide & seek, barking until I come find him. He bumps me on the leg with his nose to say thank you. When I tell him to come, he takes 3 steps backward. Agent has a mass on his eye and over the course of 4 weeks it has grown and spread to his other eye. He has been examined by 5 vets, an Ophthalmologist, and had several diagnostic tests done. Now, he is having neurological symptoms. He needs to have a biopsy done on the mass and/or removal of it & see the neurologist. Not being able to work due to my own health issue and the $3000 spent on vet bills in the last 4 weeks has zapped my resources. Agent has always been there through hard times and I have to get him through this!

Penny
Penny is a 6-year-old Hound in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,082 for Second Round of Heartworm Injections and Allergy Shots.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Penny’s past was filled with unimaginable horror. Her front elbow and leg were badly broken, but never tended to. She now suffers every day with a painful permanent limp and degenerative arthritis. Thankfully, Penny managed to escape her tormenters by limping across a field toward safety. After being found by a Good Samaritan, she was surrendered to a shelter and then transferred to our Sanctuary. Despite the abuse she suffered, Penny is sweet and kind and forgiving. She gets along well with all the other hounds at the Sanctuary, has a hearty appetite, isn't picky about eating her allergy diet food, likes to chew on toy bones and has become quite attached to her caretakers. Penny's soulful eyes, however, still hint at her former abuse and there are times when she seems very sad. Penny serves as a role model for all who have endured abuse. Somehow, she escaped with multiple, painful health issues and survived! She seems to know that she's in a good place now, and even though some of her treatments may be hard on her, she realizes that not all humans are bad, and accepts help and tasty treats willingly. Despite completing the AHS heartworm treatment protocol, Penny continues to have heartworm and is still symptomatic. She needs to start a second round of heartworm injections. Penny also has serious and widespread food allergies and cannot eat any animal proteins. A special diet along with allergy shots are a must to keep her from scratching herself raw. While we've raised some funds already, we do need help now with the vet bills for Penny’s second round of heartworm treatments and for her skin condition. As a registered non-profit, we rely on donations to pay for vet care. Please give Penny the future she deserves!

Nacho
Nacho is a 7-month-old Sphynx in Santa Rosa , CA, who needs $850 for Double Enucleation.
Santa Rosa, CA
Nacho came up for adoption at a local Humane society with his mom and sister. I was instantly taken with his baby werewolf appearance and his cool and casual demeanor. He looked so much like a cat that I had loved and lost a few months prior. Normally I adopt elderly or special needs cats, so I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with a kitten From the minute he was home, he has bonded with his human and cat siblings. His big brother Waffles immediately took over caring for him and he was completely tolerant of human children holding him like a dangly baby. He is so good natured and loves love. He has the tiniest meow, a scruffy neck ruff and a pot belly Nacho loves to sit on my neck and go to sleep. He would be so happy if I could carry him with me everywhere! He doesn’t play much like other kittens, I believe it’s because his eyes are painful. But he is purr monster who just. Wants to be held and has never met a stranger. Even when we were applying 4 different eye medications 3 times a day, he rarely complained About a months ago, his eyes started to become cloudy and he has progressively lost his vision. My vet was unable to determine the cause and he has had a lot of testing done to rule out FIP and lymphoma. He will likely need surgery to remove both of his eyes in the future, juvenile glaucoma or a viral infection of his eyes are no the most likely cause I have done fundraising in the past 8 years through my online business for special need cats and now I find myself in the unexpected place of not being able to afford vet care myself

Uno
Uno is a 3-month-old Yorkipoo in Wausau, WI, who needs $2,000 for urgent liver surgery.
Wausau, WI • Fetch Foster and Rescue Inc
Uno started life in a puppy mill. He didn't even weigh one pound when the breeder dumped the pup because he had an issue with one of his back legs. Fetch Foster and Rescue saved Uno, who quickly went downhill. "He became unresponsive and needed to be rushed to the animal hospital," Angel S., with the rescue, tells Waggle. Tests revealed Uno also has a liver shunt which needs to be corrected with a CT scan and surgery to save his life. Now the rescue is racing to raise the money the nonprofit group needs for Uno's operation. "This little man has stolen the hearts of many," Angel says. "The veterinarians say they believe the surgery will give him a long, happy life. We want to thank you all for your generosity. We couldn't do what we do without you!"

Winston
Winston is a 2-month-old Collie/Poodle Mix in Concord, OH, who needs $2,000 for Parvovirus Treatment.
Concord, OH
We adopted him and gave him the name Winston because we've always wanted to have a dog with that name. We like "old man" names for dogs - especially if they have a beard! We instantly fell in love with his pink nose and unique markings. His eyes have a little blue in them too - so he'd match our family. He is so sweet and snuggly with the softest fur. Winston loves his big Grey cuddle bed - and when he lays in it you can barely see him because he camouflages right in! We was already starting to house train and crate train so well. He loves this little sqeaky blue dinosaur we got him and his tug of war rope - you could tell he will be a good tug of war player. Winston loves the kids. You can already tell he is going to do so well with a house full of children. He loves to snuggle and give puppy kisses. When he looks up at you with his blue eyes and pink nose it's nearly impossible to not fall in love. We need him to come home to us so we can enjoy more snuggles and play time with him. Winston has Parvovirus which can be fatal without proper ongoing treatment. When hospitalized their chances of surviving can rise to 90% Winston has shown signs to us to make us think he can fight this. He has been at the veterinary hospital since Thanksgiving day. It's been a traumatic and emotional time but we believe he can fight this so he can come home. Unfortunately this is just an unexpected, major expense, and we don't have enough set aside for this emergency. At this point we have invested so much financially and emotionally that we don't want to give up and let go of everything we have done so far.

Tonka
Tonka is a 10-year-old Husky in Hawthorne, NJ, who needs $2,000 for Severely Emaciated, Heartworm Positive, Advanced Dental Disease, and Matted Fur.
Hawthorne, NJ • A Pathway to Hope
Tonka has lived a lifetime of neglect before finding himself an ailing stray dog in a crowded shelter. That's when Pathway and Piney Mountain Foster Care stepped in. This gorgeous senior husky should have been spoiled in his golden years, but instead, he is emaciated at just 40 pounds under his filthy fur. We fought to get Tonka to NJ to get him the extensive diagnostics he desperately needed! Tonka’s schedule was lined up with medical consults at three separate hospital – that included an echocardiogram, cardiologist consult, abdominal ultrasound, dental exam and extensive diagnostic testing. We knew Tonka was in rough shape, but seeing him shaved down and hearing his full medical results was shocking. He is severely emaciated with a body score of 2 out of 9. Tonka is heartworm positive and has horrible dental disease. Both are severe and advanced. He is also suffering from painful ear infections and arthritis. Tonka’s fur was so horrible that he had to be fully shaven – it was thin, matted and soaked in urine and feces. Tonka has burns on his stomach from prolonged urine contact and the matts on his hind legs prevented him from walking normally. Tonka only knows how to LOVE. He passed a temperament test with flying colors, rolling over for belly rubs during the most uncomfortable part of testing for most dogs! The long-term neglect Tonka has endured has broken his body, but not his spirit, as he greets you with joy and excitement. While it is hard for us to see, he truly feels like a new man today and has hope for the future. We SO appreciate your support in helping with Tonka’s initial medical care. Tonka’s upcoming medical care has quickly exceeded funds raised, and we need your help. Please consider donating to help us provide our beautiful boy Tonka with the diagnostics and treatment!

Elliot
Elliot is a 10-month-old Mixed Breed Puppy in Huntington, WV, who needs $2,000 for Gunshot to the Head-Surgery to Reconstruct Shattered Jaw.
Huntington, WV • One by One Animal Advocates
This is how Elliott was found, abandoned on the side of a road in rural KY. A person tried to brutally kill him and left him to die. Initially, it was assumed he had been hit by a car. Animal control came to the scene and alerted us at One by One Animal Advocated as soon as they noticed a bullet wound - he had been shot. And, not only shot accidentally, the vet said it was execution style. The bullet entered at close range in the top of Elliott’s head, travelled through his jaw, and exited out his neck. He suffered extensive bruising of his eye, vision loss, and a section of his jaw was left with shattered bone fragments. Elliot has now undergone two emergency surgeries to remove these fragments, to clean out severe infection, and close the hole in his jaw. It doesn't stop there. His third surgery is scheduled where synthetic bone will be used to try to reconstruct his jaw. The synthetic bone is expensive, but the hands-on, loving care is priceless. Unfathomable. Heartbreaking. Angry. A few of the words to describe how we felt about Elliott’s situation. Our heart breaks when an animal is mistreated … not enough food, left out in the cold, or lack of basic care. We truly cannot understand how anyone could walk up to an innocent 10-month old pup, hold a gun to his head, and pull the trigger. Once again we ask if you will come together for an innocent dog who has already overcome so much, and help us right the wrongs he has suffered so he can enjoy a normal loving life. Elliott is a miracle boy and has had many guardian angels help him get to where he is today. Can you help us raise the money for this costly, but beneficial, synthetic bone?

Sofi
Sofi is a 11-month-old Mixed Breed Puppy in Marietta, GA, who needs $1,500 for Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO).
Marietta, GA
Sofi is our rescue pup that we adopted in March, 2022. Sofi is living with a loving family & is the BEST friend to my 9 year old son. She is also my emotional support pet & has brought our family so much joy. Angel was her given name by her foster, because she is an angel. She's been through...abuse & neglect. We chose to name her Sofi. A name we picked for a daughter, but I can longer have babies Sofi sleeps with me on my bed as night & her beds during the day. She LOVES her lawn bed outdoors. She would love to hike & walk anywhere, anytime. She LOVES the outdoors. Her hip pain is so severe, it's very much limited her on many things she loves to do. She loves to chase squirrels & chipmunks. She will also tell me when she wants to go for a walk. She talks to me. And she loves to sing!! Sofi LOVES all dogs, cats, kids, people. It's truly amazing what a good pup she is. She loves the great outdoors. Walking, hiking, dog park, chasing squirrels & chipmunks, but her poor hips are preventing all of this now. She's a talker, a singer, the best cuddle mate, loves falling leaves & leaf piles. I can't even find the right words to explain the joy & happiness she has brought to us all. Sofi is suffering from the worst form of hip dysplasia (stage 4). After the vet took xrays they referred me to a specialist. It took us over 6 weeks to get in. Sofi's condition has gotten worse now. She can't jump or walk up stairs. One of her legs is barely usable. She needs FHO surgery as soon as possible We are in major need for financial assistance. Lost job, and never anticipated this type of health issue. This is our first puppy. She is part of our family. Once she is healed, we plan to give back by walking for other pet charities & volunteer any way we can. Thank you

Opal
Opal is a 10-year-old Dachshund in Belton, MO, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.
Belton, MO • Tennessee Dachshund Rescue
Opal was one of nine dogs found living in horrendous conditions inside a home after their owner died. The sweet Dachshund is in hideous shape and excruciating pain! Her lower jaw is fractured, her teeth are rotting, and she has mammary tumors. Now Opal needs emergency medical care to change her life. "Can you imagine trying to eat with a rotting and fractured mouth? She needs multiple surgeries to survive, and we need your help," Leslie H., with Tennessee Dachshund Rescue, which saved Opal, tells Waggle. Leslie says despite Opal's past, she seems determined to live. "She is the kindest, most loving little Dachshund and deserves to live out her dog's years pain-free with a family that loves her," Leslie says. "Please consider donating towards her surgeries and ongoing medical care. Donations have been down for our rescue for a long time, and these happy endings wouldn't be possible without your support."
