Annie

Underweight and emaciated, Annie didn't deserve this treatment. Will you be her hero?

Harrisburg, PA • Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals

Annie didn’t always have that name. She came to Castaway Critters as “Grace,” a small 3.5-year-old Maltese taken as evidence in an active animal cruelty case. Because of that, much of her story must remain untold for now. When Annie arrived, she was emaciated and underweight, her tiny body buried beneath overgrown, matted fur. The mats were so severe they pulled tightly against her skin, trapping diarrhea and causing painful irritation. Her skin was neglected, her body fighting parasites, and she carried brutal injuries. She was frightened of everything—every sound, every movement—and when she felt overwhelmed, she would bite out of fear, simply trying to protect herself in a world that had not been kind. Annie’s journey is just beginning, and it will take time. She needs continued veterinary care, proper nutrition, grooming to relieve the discomfort of her matted coat, and patient rehabilitation to help her trust again. The cost of caring for a dog from such severe circumstances is significant, especially while her case remains ongoing. We are asking for your help to give Annie the future she deserves. Your donation will go directly toward her medical treatment, recovery, and the long process of helping her feel safe in the world again. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps Annie move one step further away from her past—and closer to a life filled with the love and security she has never known. Thank you.

Help Arjun Heal — A Pain No Animal Should Ever Endure

Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India

Arjun’s suffering didn’t happen overnight. Somehow, a wire became tightly embedded around his leg — cutting deep into his skin, causing constant pain, and slowly leading to a severe infection. By the time help reached him, the damage had already been done. Our team acted quickly to remove the wire, sparing Arjun from further injury. But the relief was only the beginning of a much longer fight. 💔 Arjun Is Still in Pain His wound is badly infected. Because of the intense pain, Arjun is struggling to cooperate with treatment — not because he doesn’t want help, but because he is hurting so deeply that he doesn’t understand we’re trying to save him. This makes his recovery even more challenging. 🐾 What Arjun Needs Now To heal, Arjun urgently needs: \- Ongoing wound care and infection management - Pain relief to keep him comfortable - Antibiotics and medical treatment - Careful handling and monitoring to rebuild trust - Time, patience, and a safe place to recover - Without consistent care, infections like this can worsen quickly — and could even cost him his leg… or his life. 💛 You Can Be the Reason He Recovers Arjun has already endured so much. Now he needs compassion, not suffering. Your donation will help provide the treatment, medication, and care he desperately needs to heal — both physically and emotionally. Every contribution gives Arjun a better chance: \- To walk without pain - To trust again - To live the life he deserves - 🙏 Please donate today and be part of Arjun’s healing journey. 6/3/26 Update Arjun's journey has taken another difficult turn. As if the severe injury to his leg wasn't enough, he has now developed a significant skin condition that requires treatment and stabilization before he can safely undergo his much-needed amputation surgery. Our veterinary team is working hard to get his skin issues under control while continuing to manage his pain and monitor his injured leg. Unfortunately, this means his amputation must be postponed until he is healthy enough for surgery. Despite everything he has endured, Arjun continues to fight. Every day he receives medical care, medication, and the support he needs to keep moving forward. Your donations are helping us provide the treatment, diagnostics, medications, and ongoing care that Arjun desperately needs. Please continue to share his story and keep him in your thoughts as we work to get him strong enough for the next step in his recovery.

Diesel Diego

Diesel Diego is a 8 year old Pogona vitticeps (Bearded Dragon) in CHICAGO, IL, who needs $1,300 for Sedated Femoral Pore Lancing.

CHICAGO, IL

Seven months ago, I walked into a pet shop with no intention of bringing home a bearded dragon. But then I saw Diesel. He was a curious 8-year-old with the most striking, bright yellow color and an unusual face with big, bulging eyes that caught mine immediately. As soon as I held him I knew I was going to adopt him and he'd be leaving that day with me. He is suffering from severely impacted and clogged femoral pores These impactions are incredibly painful and have reached a point where they cannot be treated at home. Without professional surgery to clear the blockage and prevent a deep-seated infection, my "little dinosaur" is at risk of losing his mobility—and his life. Niles Animal Hospital will be performing the surgery. Diesel is universally adored! He steals the hearts of friends, family, and strangers alike. He is incredibly social, loves being the center of attention, and even enjoys dressing up for holidays. Whether he’s hitching a ride on a shoulder or posing for a crowd, he brings a smile to everyone he meets. He is a bright yellow ray of sunshine, and I need him back to his happy, pain-free self. Living on a fixed Social Security Disability income, I wasn't prepared for this sudden, major surgical expense. It’s heartbreaking to see Diesel in pain when a cure exists just out of my reach. Having him healthy would mean the world; he’s truly a ray of sunshine.

Malcolm

Malcolm is a 7 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi in Hanford , CA, who needs $6,700 for ICU Seizure Management & Midazolam CRI Taper.

Hanford, CA

Malcolm is my "velcro pup." I traded my second car to get him, and he even shares my daughter’s birthday! He is a lovable country dog who thinks everyone is his best friend. He is currently in the ICU fighting to wake up from cluster seizures. I have already spent $6,716, maxing out every credit card I own. He is a fighter, but I’ve run out of funds to pay for the 48 hours he needs to survive. Malcolm is in a life-or-death emergency at Fresno Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center. After suffering severe cluster seizures, he is in the ICU on a constant seizure-medication drip (CRI). Dr. Tolman is currently tapering his meds to see if his brain can stabilize. He needs 48 hours of specialized monitoring to survive this neurological crisis without permanent damage. Malcolm is a "talker" and a true country dog who loves being outdoors. He is incredibly social. Everyone he meets becomes his best friend instantly. He has a quirky habit of "vocalizing" when he's dreaming, which he’s doing now in the ICU as he fights to wake up. He shares a birthday with my daughter, making him a core part of our family soul. We just want our happy, wiggling boy back. I am a disabled veteran on a limited income, and I have already spent $6,716 by maxing out every credit card and emergency line I own. This catastrophic expense has exhausted my resources. I’ve given everything I have, but I need your help to buy him the next 48 hours to su

Photo of Leon Tigs III

Leon Tigs III

Leon Tigs III is a 12 year old Mix-Breed who needs $2,500 for Chemotherapy Pills, Bloodwork, Consults w/ Vet

Narragansett, RI

I rescued Leon Tigs III 12 years ago from an out of state animal shelter. I'll never forget that moment when we connected. They had named him Tigs. He was different then the others! He was alert, spunky and soo persistent. "Let Me-Owt!” When we were on our way home, Kings of Leon was on the radio. My little Royal's name would be Leon Tigs III. We ventured home to RI together. We had been so happy together until Xmas 2025, when we discovered that Leon had advanced stage multiple myeloma, a rare cat cancer. He was deteriorating by the day with heart viscosity and moderate/severe anemia which involves extreme difficulty breathing. During Christmas week alone I spent $2,500! They were finally able to administer a chemo pill to him at Oceanstate ER. And, it's working! My baby, my 'emotional support animal', Leon who is now in his own medical journey has stood by his mom's side through her own medical journey since 2013. I suffer from genetic rare chronic illnesses and little Leon is my best friend. Leon loves politics and is especially attentive to Breaking News on tv. He loves sunbathing on the deck, boxes of all sizes, jazz music, tuna, and cheese! Leon has made light years of progress in 7 weeks time on a chemo pill & corticosteroid. A miracle considering euthanasia was considered in December. I am overwhelmed with his medical bills on top of my medical bills. Treating Leon's cat cancer this year will be expensive!
