Carmy, Sydney & Richie

Carmy, Sydney & Richie. Three tiny kittens. One devastating diagnosis.

Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue

Three tiny kittens. One devastating diagnosis. A fight none of them deserved. Richie, Carmy, and Sydney—our "Bear" litter—were rescued from a feral cat colony after a kind trapper realized they were far too sick to survive on their own. They were frightened, weak, and desperately needed help. Within days of entering our care, the unimaginable happened. All three kittens tested positive for panleukopenia, one of the deadliest viruses a kitten can face. Panleuk attacks the body's rapidly dividing cells, destroying the immune system and causing severe vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, and sepsis. Even with aggressive hospitalization, survival is never guaranteed. They were immediately admitted to the hospital, where they required around-the-clock intensive care. Every day brought new challenges, and every small improvement was followed by another setback. Despite the incredible efforts of the veterinary team, our sweet Richie lost his battle with panleuk. His tiny body simply couldn't overcome the virus. Heartbroken but determined, we refused to give up on Carmy and Sydney. They continue to fight with everything they have, receiving lifesaving treatments, medications, fluids, nutritional support, and constant monitoring. Their medical bills have grown quickly, but we knew we had to give them every chance at survival. As a foster-based rescue, every dollar we spend comes directly from donations. We never want finances to determine whether a kitten receives lifesaving care. Your support will help cover the cost of their emergency hospitalization and treatment, allowing us to continue saying "yes" to kittens who have nowhere else to turn. Please help us honor Richie's memory by giving Carmy and Sydney the chance he never got. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings them one step closer to recovery. Thank you for believing in these tiny fighters and for standing with Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue when they need you most.

Help Michelin Get the Amputation That Will End His Pain

Fort Worth, TX • Murdock’s Mission

Michelin should be spending his kittenhood chasing toys, climbing cat trees, and discovering the world. Instead, he's spent most of his young life living with pain. When Michelin was just 6 weeks old, he suffered an injury that led to a severe abscess in his tiny elbow. Despite receiving treatment, the infection destroyed the joint, leaving his leg permanently damaged. There was simply no way to save it. The only option left is amputation. Until now, Michelin has been too small to safely undergo surgery. But at 4 months old, he has finally grown enough to take the next step toward the future he's been waiting for. Although life hasn't been easy, Michelin has never let his injury define him. He remains an incredibly sweet, resilient little kitten who deserves the chance to grow up without constant discomfort. Murdock's Mission is ready to give Michelin that chance. Your donation will help cover the cost of his amputation, surgery, pain management, and post-operative care so Michelin can finally leave his painful past behind and begin living the carefree life every kitten deserves. Every gift, no matter the size, brings Michelin one step closer to healing—and one giant leap closer to running, playing, and simply being a kitten. If you're unable to donate, sharing Michelin's story is another wonderful way to help him find the support he needs. Thank you for helping give this brave little boy the second chance he deserves. 8/13/26 Update: Michelin is Recovering After Surgery Michelin has made it through his amputation and neuter and is now recovering with his rescue team at Murdock's Mission. A video has been added to the campaign photo carousel showing Michelin during his recovery. While he still has healing ahead of him, seeing this sweet boy moving forward after everything he's endured is an encouraging step in his journey. Michelin's surgery and veterinary care gave him the chance to leave his painful past behind and begin healing. Thanks to everyone who has supported Michelin's journey so far! Although his surgery is now behind him, the cost of the veterinary care he needed remains, along with the expenses of his recovery. Continued donations are greatly appreciated and will help Murdock's Mission cover these costs as Michelin recovers. For Michelin, recovery is just the beginning. Continued support will help Murdock's Mission give him the care and comfort he needs as he moves toward a brighter future. Thank you for standing behind Michelin and helping give this sweet boy the chance to keep moving forward. ❤️

Help Tiny Opal Keep Fighting

Fort Worth, TX • Murdock’s Mission

At just eight weeks old, Opal has already faced more than most cats will in a lifetime. She and her siblings were found while Murdock's Mission was trapping stray adult cats. Sadly, despite the rescue's best efforts, Opal's brother, Odie, passed away the day after they were rescued. The loss of Odie only strengthened the rescue's determination to save the rest of the litter. Now, Opal is facing another heartbreaking challenge. Late one night, this tiny kitten—who weighs only a pound and a half—suffered a rectal prolapse, a painful and potentially life-threatening condition requiring immediate veterinary care. She was rushed to the hospital, where veterinarians were able to replace the prolapse and place a small stitch in hopes of allowing her body to heal without surgery. She will remain hospitalized for several days while her medical team carefully monitors her recovery. At such a young age, every hour of care matters. This fundraiser will help cover Opal's emergency hospitalization, medications, diagnostics, continued monitoring, and any additional treatment or surgery she may need if her condition doesn't improve as hoped. Despite everything she's endured, Opal continues to fight. Your donation gives this tiny kitten the opportunity to heal, grow stronger, and experience the safe, loving life every kitten deserves. Thank you for helping Murdock's Mission give Opal the fighting chance she deserves. 7/23/26 Update: Opal is still in the hospital Thank you for your support for Opal. She is still holding on and has been hospitalized for a little over two weeks! She is still too small for the surgery she needs, so we can only hope that the care and support she is receiving carries her through.

Peter

Peter went through emergency eye removal surgery and needs your support.

Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue

Peter has already endured more pain than any tiny kitten ever should. 💔 This sweet grey baby arrived at the shelter with a severely ruptured eye that required emergency removal surgery. During treatment, we also discovered that his other eye had ruptured in the past and healed over on its own, leaving him with very limited—if any—vision. Despite everything he’s been through, Peter remains incredibly loving, gentle, and trusting. He’s currently recovering, learning how to navigate the world, and relying heavily on the comfort of his bonded brother, Prescott, who helps guide and reassure him. Peter’s medical care has already included emergency surgery, hospitalization, medications, diagnostics, and ongoing follow-up care. As he heals, he will continue to need veterinary support to ensure he stays comfortable and healthy. Cases like Peter’s are expensive, but we couldn’t turn away a kitten suffering in pain with no one else to help him. Please consider donating to help cover Peter’s medical expenses and give this special little boy the future he deserves. Every donation, share, and kind word truly makes a difference for kittens like Peter. 🐾💕 5/26/26 Update: Peter had surgery but is having trouble healing! Peter update 💔🐾 Peter did well over the weekend, but unfortunately his eye socket started swelling and developing a lot of drainage. We rushed him back to the vet, where they discovered that some of the tissue around his sutures had become necrotic. The damaged tissue was removed, but it has left Peter with a bit of an open wound that now requires intensive treatment to help it heal properly. He’s receiving iodine washes, stronger antibiotics, and additional supportive care while we monitor everything very closely. Thankfully, Peter is with an incredible medical foster who pays very close attention, and because of that we were able to get him seen before things became even more serious. Through all of this, Peter remains unbelievably sweet and tolerant, even when we know he must be uncomfortable. He’s receiving pain medication to help keep him comfortable while he heals. Please continue keeping this tiny boy in your thoughts as we work hard to help him recover. 💕 6/10/26 Update Spicy Whiskers had a slight setback with Peter. He got an infection after his sutures were removed, and when it ruptured, it opened up his freshly healed wound and incision area. They are doing iodine washes and providing him with the proper treatment and care. They are grateful that he really doesn't seem to be bothered by the whole thing. 6/20/26 Update Peter was rushed back to the vet with swelling and discharge from his surgical site. The vet drained it, and we started additional medications to control the infection. Thankfully, that resolved fairly quickly, and Peter is healing well. He gets a lot of confidence from his brother, Prescott, and our goal will be to adopt them out as a bonded pair. Prescott often acts as Peter's eyes and guides him through his foster home. They can be found playing together frequently, which is a good sign that Peter is feeling much better these days. 7/17/26 Update Thank you to everyone who supported Peter on his healing journey. He is doing well and is adjusting to life with only one eye. That eye isn't perfect either but it doesn't seem to bother him too much.

Cheddar Still Needs Your Help!

Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue

This little orange kitten is fighting for his life and urgently needs your help. We found Cheddar and his siblings at a local municipal animal shelter, in pain and in desperate need of medical care. His eye is severely infected and ulcerated, and could rupture at any moment as shown in the photos. We couldn’t stand by and watch him suffer, so we rushed Cheddar and his siblings to urgent care for immediate treatment. Cheddar’s eye was so badly infected that it required immediate removal. However, his health issues did not end there. His other eye was then infected and although his overall health seemed to improve, his other eye was diagnosed with anterior synecheia. This surgery is just as costly as the first round of treatment and Spicy Whiskers Rescue’s bills continue to grow. With your continued generosity, Cheddar can live out the rest of his life happy. This blind young cat will still be able to live a high quality life with a loving family. We need your help to give Cheddar the life he deserves, free from ocular pain. 6/5/26 Update Thanks to your generosity, Cheddar received the medical care he desperately needed. He had his second eye removed, and one of the vets at the surgery center fell in love with his personality and adopted him! We are so grateful for your continued love and support.

Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue

This little orange kitten is fighting for his life and urgently needs your help today. Sadly, both of Cheddar’s eyes are affected. He will need surgery to remove one, and we’re doing everything we can to save the other. The veterinary team at Family Pet Care is working around the clock to give him the best possible chance at recovery. But we can’t do it without you. Please Help Benjamin After Being Hit By a Car

Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue

At just 10 weeks old, Benjamin has already faced more pain than most animals do in a lifetime. This tiny kitten, weighing only 2 pounds, was hit by a car and found dragging himself around, broken but still trying to survive. At the shelter, he sat waiting for help that never came… until the caretakers at Spicy Whiskers saw him. They couldn’t turn our backs. X-rays revealed the heartbreaking truth: two broken bones in one back leg and a shattered hip in the other. Benjamin needed immediate, specialized care. Their orthopedic team dropped everything to save him. In just 48 hours, he endured two major surgeries—two plates placed in one leg and an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) to repair the other. He is a fighter. Spicy Whiskers Rescue fought for him, too. But the cost of giving him this chance at life was enormous: $4,000. For a small rescue like theirs is overwhelming. Benjamin’s story is just beginning—he deserves to grow, to play, to live without pain. But they cannot carry this burden alone. Will you help this amazing rescue cover Benjamin’s life-saving surgeries? Every dollar goes directly toward his care and ensures that when the next Benjamin comes along, we can say “yes” again. He fought for his life. This rescue fought with him. Now, we’re asking you to fight for him, too. Please donate now. Update 9/28/25 Benjamin is recovering from his two surgeries beautifully. This rescue can't do it without you, and they are so grateful for your continued support and care for this tiny soul.

The Brothers Who Wouldn’t Give Up: Help Them Overcome Parvo and Leg Injury

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

When we first met Zeno, he was just a baby, an 8-week-old Great Pyrenees puppy with the gentlest spirit and the odds stacked against him. He had been found as a stray, barely holding on: weak, lethargic, battling giardia, and missing part of his front leg. His tiny body was overwhelmed with parasites, and it was clear he would need an amputation in the near future. We rushed him to the vet and found him a loving foster, hoping this would be the start of a better life. Then came devastating news. The same shelter contacted us just days later—Zeno’s siblings had been brought in, both gravely ill with parvo. One had already passed. The other, now named Zula, was fighting for his life. Without hesitation, we pulled him too. Zula was immediately hospitalized and treated alongside his brother. It broke our hearts to see them suffering, but we were determined to give them both a chance at survival. Day by day, the tide began to turn. Zula, the stronger of the two, began to bounce back—eating, drinking, some playing, and finally off of IVs and onto oral medication. Zeno’s road has been slower. He’s still on IV fluids, battling nausea and weakness, but his eyes are brighter, and he’s showing signs of comfort. These boys are survivors, bonded not only by blood but by the fight they’re facing side by side. Zeno still needs surgery to remove what’s left of his injured leg, and both puppies have racked up significant medical bills from their intensive care. We’re asking for your help to ease that burden. If you can donate even a few dollars, it will make a real difference in the in their recovery. These brothers have been through so much. Please help us get them the happy, healthy future they deserve. 4/21/26 Update Thank you to everyone who supported Zeno and Zula on their healing journey! Thanks to you, Zeno and Zula have both recovered and have been adopted! We couldn't be happier for them to be able to live out the rest of their lives as happy and healthy adult dogs in their forever homes.

Cherish's Journey From Trauma to Triumph

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

A witness watched in horror as someone walked onto their third-floor balcony with a tiny kitten in hand, then cruelly hurled her over the edge. The kitten landed headfirst on the pavement below. She lay there, injured and helpless, until a homeless woman, struggling herself, rushed to her side. With no transportation, she walked a long distance to the nearest vet, begging them to save the kitten's life. That kitten is now named Cherish. Cherish arrived at the clinic with visible scars on her head and ears, head trauma, and what appeared to be blindness in one eye. She was in shock and severely disoriented. The vet couldn’t admit her as a stray, but they reached out to us at Saving Hope. Our intake was closed due to overwhelming vet bills, but we couldn’t turn our backs. We admitted her immediately, and she was hospitalized for round-the-clock care and monitoring. Miraculously, Cherish has now made a full recovery. Her sight returned, her balance improved, and she began exploring her world with confidence. Her foster family, already smitten, decided to adopt her, giving her the forever home she deserves. But this happy ending came with a steep cost: emergency hospitalization, diagnostics, medication, and follow-up care to monitor her recovery. Now, we need your help to cover the cost of her care. Cherish’s rescue and recovery were made possible by kindness, but we can’t continue saving lives like hers without your support. Please donate today to help cover Cherish’s medical expenses and ensure we’re ready for the next animal who needs a miracle. Tiny Cypress Was Almost Out of Time But Now She Has a Chance

Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue

Cypress was just 10 weeks old when her time nearly ran out. She had been placed on the euthanasia list at a crowded shelter, not because she was sick, but because of severe nerve damage to one of her front leg. But even through her pain, she radiated sweetness and strength. Spicy Whiskers Rescue couldn’t walk away, they knew this little fighter deserved more than a death sentence. Despite the pain she’s in, Cypress is full of light. She’s curious, affectionate, and playful. She is determined to be part of the world around her. Her damaged leg can’t be saved, but her life can. Once she’s gained enough strength and weight, she’ll need an amputation to remove the limb and relieve her pain. It’s a big surgery for such a small body, but we know she’s going to thrive as a tripod. The cost of her surgery, along with the care she’ll need before and after, is estimated at $2,000. That includes pain management, post-op recovery, and monitoring to ensure she heals safely. It’s a significant expense for Spicy Whiskers Rescue, but they believe Cypress is more than worth it. This is their chance to give her the comfort, safety, and love she’s never known before. Cypress was almost forgotten, but now, she has hope. We’re asking for your help to get her through the final stretch. Your support will give her freedom from pain and the future she so clearly deserves. Let’s come together and show this brave little kitten that the world hasn’t given up on her. Update 9/7/25 Cypress is doing as best he can until his surgery. Little Lizzie’s Big Fight Against Panleuk

Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue

Lizzie’s story is one of heartbreak turned hope. She was abandoned at a vet clinic by her owner, who refused to pay for her treatment, even though her condition seemed minor at first. The vet had no one available to care for her over the weekend, so Spicy Whiskers Rescue stepped in, thinking she just needed a little support and some basic care. But it quickly became clear Lizzie was far sicker than anyone realized. Over the weekend, she began to decline. Her energy disappeared, she stopped eating, and her small body grew weaker by the hour. Just as she was being transported to her vet appointment Monday morning, Lizzie crashed. Emergency testing confirmed the terrifying diagnosis: panleukopenia, a highly contagious and often deadly virus that hits young cats the hardest. She was immediately hospitalized and placed on IV fluids, antibiotics, and intensive supportive care. Lizzie remained in the hospital for five long days, fighting with everything she had. Slowly but surely, her body began to respond. Her appetite returned. Her strength began to build. Thanks to fast action and dedicated care, Lizzie is now on the road to recovery. She still has healing ahead, but her sweet spirit is shining through again and her future is once more full of promise. Now we’re asking for your help. Tiny Toothless Needs Help Recovering From Emergency Eye Surgery

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Toothless is a tiny black kitten with a big spirit at just four months old. When Saving Hope Rescue first learned about him, he had goopy eyes and seemed a bit under the weather. But things quickly took a turn. His condition worsened fast, and one of his eyes became dangerously infected. The plan was to wait until he was big enough for anesthesia, but his little body could not hold out any longer. At just over one pound, Toothless was in critical condition. One of his eyes had ruptured, causing immense pain and putting him at serious risk of further infection. He may be small, but his will to live is strong. The veterinary team knew waiting was no longer an option, and he was rushed into emergency surgery to remove the damaged eye and give him the best chance at life. Thankfully, the emergency surgery went as well as anyone could’ve hoped, and Toothless is now steadily recovering under the careful of his dedicated foster. But this was just the start of a lengthy recovery journey—which consists of post-op care and vet follow-ups. How anyone could let ANY soul get to this point is beyond us. It is, for lack of better terms, beyond horrific and downright inexcusable. Yet, poor Toothless is in this position, and this is his reality. And while we may not know just what was behind his pain, we DO know – either way you slice his cake – he has lived a life of horror. And he's faced much of it alone. However, WE know that Toothless has SO much left ahead of him, and SO much love left to give. Please send Toothless some extra-warm thoughts, and please consider making a donation if you can. Every dollar matters in supporting this resilient boy’s ongoing medical care. Let’s show Toothless that even the smallest lives ARE worth fighting for.

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Boone is just two months old, but this tiny kitten has already faced heartbreak. He was found in a backyard alongside his littermates, left behind with no mother in sight. The kind person who discovered them waited and watched, hoping the momma cat would return. But she never did. Boone and his siblings were truly alone, and thankfully, Saving Hope Rescue stepped in before it was too late. Shortly after intake, Boone began showing signs of serious illness. He tested positive for panleukopenia, also known as feline parvo, a life-threatening virus that hits young kittens the hardest. Despite the diagnosis, Boone still had a strong heartbeat, bright eyes, and the will to live. The vet felt he was a good candidate for treatment, so the Saving Hope Rescue made the decision to fight for him. Boone is now hospitalized, receiving round-the-clock care that includes IV fluids, medication, and monitoring. His care will cost up to $1,700, and while that is a big number, this little kitten’s life is worth every penny. Boone is responding well, but he is still not out of the woods. Help Candy Find the Sweet Life She Deserves

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Candy’s life almost ended before it even had the chance to begin. At just two months old, she was thrown away like trash and left to suffer in a dumpster in the heat. She was very sick and completely helpless. Somebody found Candy and brought her to the shelter, but when staff realized she had canine papilloma virus, her future was once again at risk. The shelter had no choice. If they could not find rescue placement, they planned to euthanize Candy to stop the spread of the virus. Canine papilloma virus (CPV) is contagious and causes painful sores in young puppies with weak immune systems. Saving Hope Rescue couldn’t let her story end that way. They stepped in, rushed her to the vet, and made a promise: Candy would be given a second chance. Today, Candy is in veterinary care, fighting to get stronger every day. She’s already had her first bath, is showing signs of appetite, and has a growing spark in her eyes. It will take time, patience, and resources, but Candy’s spirit is undeniable. She’s ready to heal and she’s ready for happiness ahead. Candy’s medical care will be intensive and costly, but she’s worth every effort. Saving Hope Rescue is committed to showing her that her life matters. Every donation helps Candy move closer to a healthy, joyful future. Please consider donating today. Update 05/14 After a brief stay at the vet and lots of love in her foster home, Candy is already doing (and feeling!) a lot better than on Day 1 of her rescue. But thanks to kind strangers, Shar was brought to safety just in time. Saving Hope Rescue took him in without hesitation. Shar had been through so much—cold, fear, confusion—and yet his sweet soul still quietly shone through. He was completely blind in one eye, likely blind in the other, and his hearing was severely impaired. Exhausted and emotionally shut down, he slept for nearly 24 hours after arriving, his little body finally able to rest. Though he still faces challenges, Shar is now safe and surrounded by love. He’s receiving medical care, comfort, and a path forward. Vets are assessing his eyes and planning surgery, while also treating his arthritis and monitoring his hearing loss. Slowly, his personality is emerging. He’s gentle, trusting, and learning that the world doesn’t have to be scary. Now, Shar needs our help. Donations will cover his surgery, follow-up treatment, and continued care as he heals—physically and emotionally. He was left behind once, but with your support, he’ll never be forgotten again. Let’s give Shar the chance at life he always deserved. Update 05/01 Shar had entropion surgery, which is a surgery where they correct a condition where the eyelid turns inward, causing the eyelashes to irritate the eyes. He is currently recovering and receiving all the TLC! At 11 months, he is all puppy and enjoying every moment of life. His care is ongoing but we are so happy to see this pup come back to life.

Help Revive Reba, a Dog Returned to Shelter in Horrific Condition

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Just a few months ago, Reba left the Fort Worth Animal shelter as a healthy, happy puppy with the promise of a bright future in a forever home. It was a wonderful day. But fast-forward, and at only eight months old, she returned—a shell of the dog she used to be. What should have been her chance at a forever home turned into a nightmare. Reba left the shelter at 30 pounds, not fully grown, and returned at just 17 pounds. Her emaciated, frail body was barely able to hold herself up. The once vibrant puppy was gone. She was covered in fleas, severely anemic, and heartbreakingly weak. Saving Hope Rescue immediately intervened and are now helping her recover. Reba will never face trauma like that again. Despite everything, Reba hasn’t given up. She’s still eating and drinking on her own—a small but powerful sign that there’s hope. But she is far from being out of the woods. She’s in critical condition and needs extensive emergency medical care, hospitalization, and round-the-clock monitoring to give her the chance she deserves. Reba's life hangs in the balance and Saving Hope Rescue needs your support to save her. Please help show Reba that her life matters, that she is loved, and her suffering is over. Reba thought she had her happily ever after once before. Let’s make sure this time it’s real.

Lovebug Lumi Needs Help Recovering from Heartbreaking Leg Injury

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Lumi, at just a year old, sat at the shelter for almost a week with a horrific leg injury. Her leg was infected, broken, and had puncture wounds. Poor Lumi also had horrible ear infections. The shelter workers were just heartbroken, unable to bear the idea of euthanizing this total lovebug due to her worsening condition. She was marked as "rescue only" and thankfully, Saving Hope Rescue took her into their care. The rescue quickly went to get Lumi from the shelter and to their vet when they heard her fever had begun to climb, indicating the infection was taking over. Lumi needed help urgently. She needed IV fluids, medication to help fight both pain and infections, thorough bloodwork, and an amputation. There was no saving this leg. Lumi's surgery went beautifully. Her mood was immediately better, which is seen often with amputee animals. Sometimes they know before we do that their limb has to go. They do not mourn or grieve their loss, they just go play, finally able to do what their heart desires pain free. Lumi is just extraordinary and her caretakers have already fallen in love with her. Saving Hope Animal Rescue is a non-profit that relies on donations to help Lumi. Please consider donating today to help support Lumi's mounting medical bills. She, like every cat, deserves a chance at a long healthy life. Update 03/03/25 Lumi is healing wonderfully! Her personality is blossoming and it is so fun to watch. She shows her caretakers each day something new about her, warming their hearts because this indicates she is finally pain free and settling into herself and a comfort zone. They cannot wait to learn more about her and help her heal.

Black Kitten is Abused on Halloween: Tail Degloved and Leg Broken

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Saving Hope Rescue For many, Halloween is a time of fun and celebration. But for animals like Ash—a sweet, 5-month-old black kitten—it can be a time of unimaginable cruelty. Black cats face an alarming spike in abuse around Halloween, targeted because of harmful superstitions tied to their coloring. And sadly, Ash is one of those victims. Found just after Halloween, Ash’s tiny body bore the unmistakable marks of horrific human-inflicted abuse. One of his legs were broken, his fur was torn off in multiple areas, and his tail was degloved—a brutal injury where the skin is ripped away, exposing raw nerves and bone. Which, in turn, became riddled with maggots and raging infections. Saving Hope Animal Rescue acted swiftly, getting Ash the life-saving care he needed. To date, he's already undergone X-rays, blood work, wound care, and multiple rounds of medication to manage his pain and fight infection. But sadly, emergency surgery was required to amputate his tail and close the worst of his injuries. Today, this sweet boy remains at the vet, steadily recovering from the physical and emotional trauma inflicted on him. And despite the immense pain, Ash’s gentle spirit continues to shine through – looking to his rescuers with eyes full of love and hope. But his road to recovery is far from over. Ash’s medical bills are mounting steadily, and he still needs extensive care before he's ready to begin his next chapter in a safe and loving foster home. Please keep this special boy in your thoughts, and if you are able to assist with Ash’s care, please consider donating to this fundraiser or sending him a special "get-well" item off his wishlist below. Every ounce of support is so very appreciated. ❤️

Rescued Pit Bull Battling Pneumonia and Painful Skin Issues Desperately Needs Help

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Saving Hope Rescue Sarabi was only minutes from being euthanized. Just two years on this earth have left her traumatized and broken, her spirit crushed by the streets of Fort Worth and a life in city shelters. She was "chemically captured"—darted by Fort Worth Animal Care & Control—and brought in suffering. Sarabi now battles a head tilt, severe ear infections, and various untreated injuries. She has painful skin rashes all over her body, resulting in hair loss. Her paws are in horrible shape, swollen and raw, making it painful to take a step. As if that wasn’t enough, contagious illnesses spread rapidly through the shelter. Nearly every dog we’ve recently rescued has been diagnosed with upper respiratory infections, and Sarabi was no exception. She developed pneumonia, became severely emaciated, and stopped eating. Her will to live was almost gone. When she was marked for euthanasia, a shelter volunteer advocated for her in those final moments, and thanks to their persistence, Sarabi is now in our care at Saving Hope Rescue. Now, Sarabi is safe and receiving critical medical treatment. But her journey is far from over, and she needs our support more than ever. Will you help us give Sarabi the care she needs to recover? Your donation will go directly toward her veterinary treatments. Please consider donating today. Sarabi deserves a second chance—and with your help, she’ll finally experience the love and safety she’s been denied for so long.

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Saving Hope Animal Rescue Omi is a 1-year-old kitty who was part of a feral colony. She was intended to be part of a TNR project, but proved to be very friendly, so she was taken into Saving Hope Animal Rescue. She was with a foster, when they started to notice some lameness in her front left leg around mid-September. Omi has been going downhill ever since, and now is in severe pain and has a chronic fever. She is lethargic and barely wants to eat. She has been back and forth from the vet, receiving multiple x-rays, thorough bloodwork, and antibiotics. She is not responding to any medical treatment, which is breaking our hearts. We are exhausting all options for our sweet Omi. The next step is to aspirate the bone to get a sample of the bacteria in order to find out how to treat her. Her condition is life-threatening and causing too much suffering. The estimate is $2,200 for everything she needs. She will need to stay at the vet for multiple nights for more testing and observation. There is a potential she will need surgery depending on what the testing tells us. Poor Omi deserves answers, and we are determined to give that to her, but Saving Hope needs your help. Your donation can help support her health journey, so she can finally be pain free and live a long happy life. Please consider donating today.

Please help save my sweetheart Luna has a Cancer tumor in her leg that will require expensive surgery, amputation of her leg, or euthanasia. We have been treating her vigorously for months and after a month of prescriptions she still has not healed. Luna loves her 2 furry siblings, me, my wife and our kids and grandkids. She is sweet, kind and loving. Luna gives the best cuddles and always has a smile on her face. Our family has recently moved and we used our savings to repair Luna's new home. Our credit lines are maxed out and we just don't have the means to cover large expenses right now. Luna will be out of time by the time we have the means.

Leo

Leo is a 7 year old Bengal in Aledo , TX, who needs $800 for Liver Treatment and Weight Control.

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Saving Hope Animal Rescue Leo's case is one of neglect we do not often think of. It is one of overfeeding and neglect for his health. Leo was brought into the vet to be euthanized by his owners because he no longer had the ability to climb into a litter box, forcing him to relieve himself on the floor. They overfed him, neglected him, then wanted to euthanize him because he could not function due to their lack of care. Leo is now with Saving Hope Animal Rescue in Texas. His liver enzymes are elevated, a clear sign that his body is struggling to cope with the excess weight. We’ve already begun the process of helping Leo slim down and regain his health, but it’s a challenging journey. He requires multiple blood draws to monitor his liver function and special food to support weight loss. Leo is a Bengal, one of the most agile, active cat breeds. On average a male weighs about 12 pounds, Leo weighs 23. The burden on his joints, his inability to move freely, and the discomfort he endures every day are the tragic results of this kind of neglect. To see this done to any cat, especially one who is extremely active, is cruel. Please consider donating today. Together, we can help Leo overcome the effects of this heartbreaking neglect and give him a future filled with health, happiness, and love.

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Saving Hope Animal Rescue Sadly, people leaving their pets behind when they move is becoming more and more common for Saving Hope Rescue to see. Pumpkin is unfortunately, one of those cases. This cat was in an abandoned apartment locked in a crate with nothing but a bowl of cheerios. A family member found out and reached out to Saving Hope. Pumpkin got to Family Pet Care, located in Fort Worth, Texas, where he was quickly evaluated and had a few tests run. While waiting, Pumpkin began to act very lethargic and vomit. His bloodwork showed evidence this poor cat had been poisoned. We will never know if this was intentional, or if he got into something he was not supposed to, but we do know we have to get him healthy. The only known items about Pumpkin's past are dark. He grew up in a home with domestic violence and drug use. He is very scared, but somehow, still wants and reaches out to humans for attention. He is incredibly timid, but you can see in his eyes he craves love, he just does not know who to trust. Please consider donating to Pumpkin. He really needs your help. We want to show him that not all humans are bad, and there is love and happiness to be had in this world. We are hopeful of his recovery and that there are nothing but sunny days ahead for our little Pumpkin. Update 8/20 We are so thankful that for the lifesaving medical intervention. Due to how quickly Pumpkin received care, he has thankfully regained his health. He spent nearly a week at the vet and is now in a foster home. He has really begun to open up and want love. It makes us so happy to see his health and happiness improving.

Gigi

Gigi is a two-month-old American Polydactyl kitten in Aledo, TX, who needs $1,200 for urgent care.

Aledo, TX • Saving Hope Animal Rescue Fund

Saving Hope Animal Rescue first learned about Gigi from a good Samaritan who came to the kitten's rescue. "A woman was in a warehouse and started hearing tiny mews coming from somewhere," Laura G., with the nonprofit group, tells Waggle. "She tracked them down to a metal trash bin." When the woman looked into the garbage can she couldn't believe her eyes! "A tiny, malnourished kitten was panicking at the bottom of the bin, desperately trying to get out," Laura says. "There was only one other object in the bin, a Styrofoam cup with tiny teeth marks on it from the kitten who was desperately trying to find food since she was starving." The rescuer instantly scooped the kitten up and contacted Saving Hope. Gigi was whisked to an animal hospital where the rescue learned she was skin and bones and had terrible stomach issues. She is severely dehydrated and needs to remain in the hospital for monitoring. "It's unknown how long little Gigi was panicked, alone, and starving in the trash bin," Laura says. "But there is no way a seven-week-old kitten jumped into a three-foot-tall bin alone. Gigi's tragic start to life is heartbreaking, but she has proven resilient, inspiring us all with her strength." And listen to this: That good Samaritan has an encore performance. She will foster Gigi when she is stable enough to leave the animal hospital. What a wonderful gal! In the meantime, Saving Hope could use your help to make this story have a happy ending: Help them pay Gigi's hospital bills. The nonprofit rescue relies on the generosity of animal lovers to keep their lifesaving work going. Please help them restore Gigi's faith in humans and support her on her journey back to being a happy, healthy kitten!

* Saving Hope Animal Rescue * Spottie was once an indoor kitty, who was dumped alongside an extremely busy highway, thrown away like trash. He was panicked and all alone. It is suspected that he was clipped by a car due to his injury. It is unknown how long he was stranded, but thankfully, he was eventually picked up from the median by a Good Samaritan. Spottie was taken in by Saving Hope Rescue and brought to their vet, Family Pet Care in Fort Worth, Texas. Luckily, Spottie did not have any broken bones, but did have a nasty open wound near his front leg, causing him great pain. Spottie remained at the vet for a few weeks for close monitoring and to get all initial vetting. Spottie is now with a foster, who is keeping a very close eye on his wound. His wound is improving but it is taking longer to close than the vet would like, warranting several trips back and forth from the clinic. Spottie takes it like a champ though! He is in far less pain and is beginning to show his personality. His favorite activity is to crawl into his foster parents lap and take a long nap!
