Ellie
Ellie is a 6 month old Mix-Breed in Middletown, CT, who needs $3,000 for Emergency Surgery to Remove Blockage in Stomach.
Middletown, CT
Ellie is a 6 month old puppy who loves to play outside and relax in the sunshine. She is a mix breed and each day her personality takes on a new skill. We love watching her grow! Ellie ate something she shouldn't have and it created a blockage in her stomach. She needed emergency surgery to remove the item. She stayed overnight for observation and was able to come home the next day. Ellie is special to our family. She enjoys going on hikes and cuddling up to watch a movie. She spent many of her first few weeks with us at the baseball field, cheering on her human brothers! When we adopted Ellie we knew it was a big responsibility for our family, but we were not ready, financially or emotionally, for such a heavy situation. While at the vet with Ellie, I couldn’t bare the thought of telling my boys that we didn’t have the money to save her.

Rainbo
Rainbo is a 6 year old Pug in Seymour, CT, who needs $7,000 for IVDD Surgery.
Seymour, CT
Rainbo is my best friend. She has been with me through everything. She is a sweetheart, loving playful dog. I would give anything to help her quality of life and hopefully recover some function for her. My dog was brought in to the emergency vet for back pain and we were sent home with meds for pain management. Overnight, it progressed into stage 5 IVDD. She is now incontinent and unable to use her back legs. The surgery is time sensitive. She loves to play. Go for walks. Be my companion. She loves food more than anything, she loves to bark as she is a beagle mix. She is the sweetest dog I could ever ask for. The down payment to even begin the process for surgery is 7 thousand dollars. This is a lot to ask anyone but my family is not able to come up with the funds in the time frame that is required. I would be overjoyed to see my dog return to her old self. She is too young.

Yuki
Yuki is a 16 year old Mix-Breed in Enfield, CT, who needs $4,857 for Mass Removal.
Enfield, CT
Yuki has been in our family since I was 12. My dad brought her home one afternoon and my sister and I were thrilled to have a cat! She was so sweet. Yuki ended up being my sister’s cat, but my sister asked if I could take her in 2020 due to her living situation. Yuki and her “sister” (not from the same parents) live with me in my apartment. On June 1st, I found a mass on Yuki’s abdomen and took her to the emergency vet. They said she would need surgery to have the mass removed. I’ve gotten a couple of quotes, but have ultimately decided to go to Pieper Memorial in Middletown, CT. Yuki’s mass may be mammary tumors, but it needs to be removed and biopsied to be able to move forward. If it’s not MT, the surgery should be all she needs. Yuki is the sweetest baby. She has cute little thumbs on her feet. She is very sassy, also. She will tell you how she’s feeling with her expressions. She is also a snuggle bug and loves to lay on me. She loves food and treats! I taught her “paw” and rewarded her with treats. She now thinks that means she can put her paw on me when I’m eating and I’ll give her some. She is very funny and sweet. The surgery is quoted for ~$4000 and unfortunately I do not qualify for CareCredit or similar. I, of course, want to get Yuki the help that she needs but I can’t do it without the money. The hospital doesn’t take other payment plans, as well.

Lucy
Lucy is a 13 year old Mix-Breed in Vernon, CT, who needs $5,000 for Surgical Biopsy.
Vernon, CT
Back in 2013, I was fostering for a cat shelter and a box of orphaned kittens were left on the steps of a church not far from where I live. These kittens were about a week old with no mother, so I became their mom until it was time to adopt them out. I was able to find good homes for them all, except Lucy. She was adopted out by one of the other volunteers, but the home she went to was inadequate. After Lucy dealt with living in a cigarette-smoke-filled home, she was finally taken away. After that I adopted her, and she attached herself to me as if I was her lifeblood. She remembered that I raised her. I was mom. Since, she has remained attached to me and only me. If I sit or lie down, she curls herself up around my neck and sometimes on my face. Lucy hates cat food. I have to make her a special home made dish of food every day because she won't eat it unless it's freshly cooked. And she only likes dark meat chicken, so every day I cook up a chicken thigh or chicken leg and mix it with special cat vitamins and minerals with taurine. But, lately, she hasn't been eating well. My vet found a mass on her liver and thickening of her intestines. As it turns out, Lucy needs surgery, a biopsy, and possibly more depending on the diagnosis. I am on disability for autism, and I am older now, so I cannot afford the surgery. Lucy is all I have left. I've lost so much in the past couple years, I can't lose her too.

Luna
Luna is a 7 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Winsted, CT, who needs $10,900 for Bilateral TPLO.
Winsted, CT
Luna is a rescue dog from Connecticut humane society. She was brought there after the hurricane in North Carolina as a puppy we are not sure what she went through. She developed two bad knees but she hasn’t given up she continues to try to walk on them and we support her with a sling under her belly to take away the weight of her body and she still loves to exploring outside Two weeks ago we noticed her limping so we brought her to the vet and they said she had a bad knee and would need surgery on it then a week later she hurt her other knee while we were waiting to figure out surgery. They said she will need knee surgery on both knees This is our Luna! We have had her since she was 3 months and now she is 7 years old. There will never be another dog like our miss lunie. When she gets excited you can see in the video she makes the cutest little happy noises, and she also talks to us when she wants something, very expressive little girl. She loves to run and to play with her dog brother and human baby sister. We have an almost 1 year old and we are down to one income so we can’t afford to do two knee surgeries on our Luna girl, we were thinking of doing one knee surgery so she can still get around and live comfortably for the rest of her life. She doesn’t want to give up!

Boba
Boba is a 5 year old Rottweiler in Groton, CT, who needs $10,000 for Chemotherapy.
Groton, CT
We’ve had Boba since he was a puppy, and he’s been part of our family ever since. He’s grown up alongside us and is especially close with our child, always gentle and protective. He’s our big, loving baby and truly the heart of our home. Boba was recently diagnosed with lymphoma after we noticed multiple swollen lymph nodes. At this time, it has not spread to his blood, which gives us some hope. We are working closely with our veterinary team to determine staging and begin treatment as soon as possible. Boba is the sweetest, most loyal dog you could ever meet. He loves being around his family, follows us everywhere, and has the calmest, most gentle personality. He’s amazing with his human brother, Grey, and brings so much comfort and happiness into our lives every single day. This diagnosis has been overwhelming and unexpected. The cost of testing and treatment is more than we were prepared for, but we want to do everything we can for him. Any support would mean the world to us and help give Boba more time with the family that loves him so much.

Sid
Sid is a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in New London, CT, who needs $5,000 for Oncology Consultation and Cancer Treatment.
New London, CT
I rescued Sid in December 2020 when I needed him most. He saved my life after my suicide attempt and became my constant companion. He's the CEO of my small business, Sid & Marty's Longevity Lab, and lives with his brother Marty. Sid brings joy to everyone he meets with his gentle soul and endless enthusiasm. In January, Sid developed a mass on his nose. After $1,750 in testing, we just learned it's cancer - a round cell tumor. My vet referred us to an oncologist for diagnosis and treatment. We need help covering the oncology consultation ($500), diagnostics ($1,500), and potential chemotherapy ($3,000-8,000). Treated at Companion Animal Hospital, Groton, CT. Sid saved my life in 2020. He's only 5 years old - we should have so many more years together. He's my soul dog, my business partner, my reason to keep going. He gives the best hugs, thinks he's a lap dog at 80 pounds, and has the gentlest heart. I can't imagine life without him I'm a bartender and recently launched a small business. I have depleted my savings for medical bills. The oncology workup with cost $2,000 plus & treatment will be more, depending on cancer type ($3-$5K). I need help giving Sid a fighting chance. He is not ready to leave me.

Luna
Luna is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in West Hartford, CT, who needs $2,000 for Dental Cleaning.
West Hartford, CT
Luna and Lolo are Morkie brother and sister - both coming from the same mother but different litters. Luna came into a fan favorite with everyone who met her and Logan (Lolo) is a COVID fur baby. They love their walks, cuddles, and being spoiled at grandma’s house. Since being diagnosed with cancer, these two have been a constant source of joy and love for me. My reason to push through each day. Dental disease is very common in small breeds like Morkies, and it can cause chronic pain and lead to severe infections in the heart, liver, and kidneys. Luna and Logan are both showing signs that they need a full professional cleaning, which includes anesthesia, X-rays, and scaling. This procedure is expensive—the estimated cost for both dogs is about $1,500-$2,500 each. It’s their home, I just live in it! Luna is a fearless little lady, and Lolo is a goofball. Luna is so wonderful with anyone she meets, while Lolo is more shy (but the biggest cuddle bug). We are asking for your help to reach our goal of $4,000 so we can keep their little mouths healthy and pain-free, ensuring many more years of happy snuggles and hilarious antics. Diagnosed with high grade endometrial cancer, we found I have a genetic mutation called Lynch syndrome - which requires monitoring for the rest of my life for many other cancers I am at risk of developing. Major surgery, treatment, medical care take a huge financial toll.

Dior
Dior is a 3 year old French Bulldog in Waterbury, , who needs $13,000 for Spine surgery for IVDD.
Waterbury
Hello everyone. This is Dior my little mommas. She is a frenchie. And she has been a huge part of my life for the last three years. She bring me and her brother tank so much happiness. I got her because tanks older sister passed and he was very depressed with out and Dior brought life right back I to him Dior woke up today completely paralyzed in her back legs and was in so much pain that she was shaking and panting the hour it took us to get to the vet. It upsets me so much to see her this way. They had to do a mri on here and found she had compressing disc into her nerves in her spine and had to do surgery right away. And only gave a 50/50 chance she would be back to normal Dior loves everyone. Pets people and all she is a ray of sunshine to anyone that is sad or depressed. She loves walks and loves her outfits which give her full confidence when it comes to thunder that she is scared of and anything else Her brother is very depressed as we sit around figuring how to come up with almost 13,000 dollars he keeps looking for her everywhere and is walking around crying looking for her. She is his life.

Pepper
Pepper is a 10 month old Labrador Retriever in Westfield , MA, who needs $5,000 for Surgery on Pyometra, Infection of Uterus.
Westfield, MA
Pepper is our sweet 10 month old. family dog. Our 9 year old son is in love with her and cares for her in all the responsible ways. She is growing up to be the quintessential lab—wonderful with kids (we have 3,) loves to play fetch, and is a loyal friend to our family. We are fostering two dogs for a family member in crises (these are the vizslas you’ll see in the background of the video.). We did not anticipate a 5,000-7,000 hospital bill for Pepper at age 10 months. We had adopted a senior dog 4 years ago and care for him with monthly medications. Pepper is being operated on right now—she has pyrometra, a life-threatening infection of the uterus. She’s at Pieper Veterinary hospital in Middletown CT. Pepper is the first puppy my boys have had. We are older parents and it felt like such a gift to give the boys a dog so beautiful and high energy and full of spirit. She has been great for the whole family—playful and outgoing, and has given me exercise and my husband too, as he built her a large run out of pallets he dissembled and rebuilt into fencing, Our income is part Social Security and also manual labor, which is limited due to age. We are careful with our money so we can give the kids a stable life, quality food, and some adventure. We do not have “extra” as in thousands for surgery, yet we couldn’t let her die.

Valentino
Valentino is a 4 year old Persian in New Britain , CT, who needs $5,000 for MRI to Diagnose a Neurological Condition.
New Britain, CT
Valentino came to me in 2022 after I found him listed on PetFinder. He was transported here from Texas. Shortly after, I learned that the rescue I got him from is facing multiple charges relating to transporting sick animals, money laundering, and operating a nonprofit without the appropriate credentials. He was already named Valentino and is an only child. on 7/16/25 I came home from work and discovered that Valentino was limping. This occurred completely out of nowhere. I rushed him to the emergency vet where I had to pay $500 and was told that he is likely suffering from a neurological issue and that the only way we will be able to identify the specific problem is if he gets an ultrasound that will cost approximately $5000. Valentino is the most lovable, friendly, and playful boy. He does not shy away from any people or animals. He is very approachable and will come to the door and greet whoever walks into our home, even strangers. He has a great temperament and is cuddly while also being independent. He is the perfect combination. Not to mention, many people consider Valentino to be adorable are smitten with him. Since the day I got Valentino he has had several medical issues including Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Chronic Ringworm. I have already spent 30,000+ on him. This is an expense that my partner and I were not prepared for as we are hoping to get married in the near future.

Masha
Masha is a 4 year old Poodle in Newington, CT, who needs $2,000 for Hydrocephalus.
Newington, CT
Hello. My beautiful baby Masha came into my life in early 2021. We got her when she was only 3 months old, she is the sweetest, most caring, gentle dog you can ever meet. The best way to describe her is that she loves love, she loves to be loved, she loves people. She is just a ray of sunshine. She was the perfect addition to our family and I want her to be okay. Please help us. Masha has always been healthy, but recently she experience neck pain. I took her to the emergency vet and they did an MRI, X-Ray, bloodwork, and testing to figure out what’s wrong. She has fluid in her spine, and pressure pushing on her neck and brain which has left her almost paralyzed. Thankfully, it’s treatable with medication for now, but eventually she will need surgery for her neck/back. Masha is so special, she loves everyone she meets and is the biggest cuddle-bug ever. She will always come to you and lay down, she will be there when you are sad, she lights up a room with her wagging tail and excitement in her face. It’s never a dull moment with her. Her favorite things to do are lounge around the porch and take in the fresh air. This has been so unexpected and we were unprepared for something like this. We don’t make much, but we’ve always prioritized health and a better life. She deserved a healthy life, we are able to pay some, but not everything given how expensive emergency care is. Please help.

Leo
Leo is a 5 year old Chihuahua in Groton, CT, who needs $2,000 for Laminectomy Complex.
Groton, CT
I got Leo for my birthday in July 2020. It was a life long obsession to have a tiny chihuahua and it finally came true! He was 9 weeks to the day on my birthday when I got him, so the name Leo during "Leo season" felt appropriate. He is the definition of a lapdog and is not only our best friend but 3rd wheel. He comes EVERYWHERE with us. His spunky self is what our family with 2 cats needed. Our boy has never had any major health concerns and is a generally a healthy fit dog. He started yelping over small movements over the weekend, and by Monday the vet said it was a sore neck. 24 hours and some antinflammatories later, he collapsed, scream-yelping at any movement. Emergency vet has confirmed a slipped disc and surgery needed or else he would be in extreme pain and agony. I've never met a dog like this. He even does a cartwheel when he goes peepee! His favorite toy is lambchop, we collect all the different editions and versions for each holiday. His funniest quirk is thay there is one specific alarm on my phone he loves and sings to. My wakeup calls have gone from generic iPhone tunes to my little guy singing me awake. His seat of choice is perched on dads shoulder I have found not only does this dog need me but I need him. He has been through my side through losses and gains. His biggest role is becoming a big bro- I'm 7 months along with my first human child (he'll always be my 1st baby.) Costs and finances are so tight for me.

Winston
Winston is a 7 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi in Springfield, MA, who needs $2,000 for Fracture Care.
Springfield, MA
Winston is now seven months old. We adopted Winston from a charming Amish family in Pennsylvania in September 2024. I work from home so we are able to spend a lot of time together. Winston took a tumble in the snow a few days ago and has a spiral fracture of his back right leg. He is currently receiving treatment at Pieper in CT about an hour from our house. Winston is sweet and loving. He brings smiles to everyone he meets. He enjoys long nature walks with his family. His favorite toy is his KONG but he also loves playing with his stuffed cow! We were totally unprepared for Winston's accident. We don't have pet insurance or an emergency fund. We can't wait for Winston to be able to run and play again!

Cheesyburger
Cheesyburger is a 13 year old American Longhair in Chicopee, MA, who needs $2,000 for Splenectomy and Intestinal Biopsies.
Chicopee, MA
Cheeseyburger came into our lives approx 13 yrs ago as a very active kitten abandoned with his sister. We were to foster them until the owner delivered her infant. I could not reach the owner to return Cheeseyburger and MistKit so I took them to get shots and to be fixed. Selfishly I have kept them as indoor only. Cheeseyburger has been the Man of the house all of this time. He loves loving us! Took Cheesyburger to local Vet and was told. All cats get lumps and all cats die. Blood work was normal etc etc back in May 2023. Time Cheesey was with Vet too short to take blood and xray. This was a very mean Vet. Found Pieper thru Peace for paws. Last Friday he was to be put to eternal sleep my choice but called Pieper instead. Cancer of Spleen everything else looks good. Spleen needs to be out Cheesey always meets us at the door. He loves to give me kisses and nose runs when he is purring getting love on my lap every night. He sleeps with only me and has become such a companion to me over the years. He loves to play fetch with small rubber balls and he is really hyper with catnip. He and I have a blast when he is strapping inside of a box that I tell him to get out of my box. No words can describe what I have been feeling for him. We lost our financial backer and are scrambling to obtain any help we can to bring him back healthy again. Even 5 more years with my love bug would be the ultimate miracle. Trying to keep the Faith.

Gunnar
Gunnar is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Middletown, CT, who needs $2,000 for CCL Repair Surgery.
Middletown, CT
We rescued Gunnar from a kill shelter in Tennessee when he was only 4 months old. He was our first dog and immediately became our entire world. In February of this year, we added another pup to our family, Harley, and the two have been inseparable. They experience the world with us, from semiannual trips to Florida to watching us get engaged, they have been there for it all. At only 6 months old, Gunnar was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. He was struggling to walk, sit, and play with other pups. Around the age of 1, he got introduced to the miracle drug of Librela, and he finally was able to start playing again, until this past weekend when he tore his CCL. Now, once again, Gunnar is sidelined and his only option is surgery at Pieper Olson Veterinary Hospital. Gunnar is the definition of a love bug. He has never met a person or animal he did not like. It doesn’t matter if he has known you for seconds or years, he will climb into your lap as if he is a 5lb dog and snuggle up into you. Everyone loves him for his gentle, sensitive, loving nature. His little sister is his best friend, and he spends every weekend visiting & playing with his two fur-cousins. Rocco and I are both teachers, living off a teachers salary, which we all know is minimal. Between regular life expenses, Gunnar’s monthly shot, & wedding planning, we have little to no wiggle room to afford this surgery to allow Gunnar to play free with his family again.

Lucy
Lucy is a 8 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in Somers, CT, who needs $2,000 for Hospital Stays, Testing, Possible Pancreatitis.
Somers, CT
When Derek and I got married in 2016, he gifted me with the best dog in the entire world, Lucy! She has been the greatest companion to us and our daughter over the past 8 years. When Millie came into the world, Lucy loved her immediately. They're two peas in a pod. Lucy recently has had quite a bit of health issues. She had been vomiting every night, in the middle of the night to early morning. It went undiagnosed for quite some time by our vet. She was treated with some medications that prolonged the problem and made her condition worse. She is now hospitalized and we're looking at some serious vet bills that we were completely unprepared for. Lucy is the most gentle, friendly (and laziest) dog I've ever met. She's a licker, a snuggler and a complete love. She loves seeing her "sister" off to school on the bus, and going on her morning walks. Any time someone is sitting in her favorite chair, she insists on hopping up and laying on their lap. If you dare have to get up, you'll get the stink eye for disturbing her slumber. With her worsening condition and visible discomfort, we made the decision to have her hospitalized and kept comfortable. I feel so horrible that she has been suffering. It would mean the world to us to know what's wrong and get her home happy and healthy.

Zooko
Zooko is a 5 year old German Shepherd Dog in New Britain, CT, who needs $2,000 for Chemo Program (CHOP).
New Britain, CT
I bought my Zooko from a patient I met, she was Bosnian. She had a male and female purebred German Shepard sent by a relative from Germany to her in Connecticut. When mom and dad were about 4 yrs old they had a litter of beautiful pups. I loved Zooko from the moment I saw him! When the puppies were 8 wks old. I brought Zooko home, that was in 2019 and we have been together ever since, Several weeks back, my daughter and I took Zooko for an exam because we needed a second opinion on his left back foot that was bothering him. The Dr examined him and stated that his lymph nodes in the back of his legs were swollen, we then had extensive testing done and the diagnosis was an aggressive form of Lymphoma. My heart felt like it was being crushed. I have taken him to Pieper Memorial. Hospital for Chemo treatment. I cannot imagine not having him with me anymore. All my children and grandchildren love him so much and have been active and frequent in his life. We are all trying to pay for his treatment, we don’t know if we can continue his treatments because it’s about 600 dollars weekly, he needs 19 rounds of chemo. We just don’t have that much money, He is only on treatment 5 Already he is feeling better, eating better, more playful..and his prognosis is good. If we did not pursue treatment for him he would have only lived another 4 to 5 wks. I don't know how we can continue his chemo without help. He is only five yrs old. Please help my Zooko💔

Ginger
Ginger is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Guilford, CT, who needs $2,000 for Herniated Disc Surgery.
Guilford, CT
We got Ginger from shelter when she was a puppy. She is 6 years old now and loves to go on long walks and run in our backyard. We got her for my daughter who was in 3rd grade then and she is now going into high school grade 9th. On July 26th while trying to fetch her favorite toy Ginger let out loud yelp we ran to her to find out she was sitting on the floor and no longer move her both hing legs. We took her to emergency hospital where they gave us an option for immediate surgery which is expensive or euthanasia. We opted for steroids even after ER doctor not giving hope that it will work and brought her home. Ginger loves going for walks and doing zoomies in the back yard. She likes swapping tissues from your pocket so you chase her down. Her favorite friend is her cousin Bruno big Alaskan Malamute. Very active personality and spoiled dog with love and affection I currently have no steady income. I Uber to support expenses. Ginger is my daughter’s dog and very much part of our lives. She keeps everyone calm and grounded. Helping Ginger will make my daughter whole again, it will make our family whole again

Maui
Maui is a 6 year old French Bulldog in East Haven, CT, who needs $2,000 for Herniated Disc Surgery.
East Haven, CT
Maui came into our live 6 years ago because my friends mom found him with a backyard breeder and convinced him to let me have him. He has two fur baby siblings and a hooman who’s 13. He’s very loved and apart of our family. Maui has disc issues and recently within 48 hours he got severely worse and had a herniated disc which caused him to be unable to stand on his hind legs. We rushed him to Pieper Memorial Hospital in Middletown CT and they did emergency surgery today. The other option was he’d no longer be with us. Maui is my soul dog. He loves to cuddle with us all on the couch, he’s a coach potato, he always snores loudly in your ear and loves to be with everyone. He likes to go for rides in the car and play with his siblings. This expense was unexpected and major - unfortunately as most people are we’ve been struggling since Covid and don’t have much a savings if any at all.

Dozer
Dozer is a 4 month old American Pit Bull Terrier in Colchester , CT, who needs $2,000 for Bone Fracture Surgery.
Colchester, CT
I came across Dozers picture on Facebook when a friend of mines friend had an accidental litter of puppies. Dozer was hard to resist and I was looking for an emotional support animal and I saw his precious face and loving temperament and knew he was the perfect fit for our family. Dozer has calmed me during the roughest moments and loved like no other. Dozer was playing with his human brother when he rolled off the bed landing on his leg. At first we thought it was a muscle but he seemed to show discomfort so more tested was needed turning out to be a fracture in two spots needing surgery. Dozer has still been his loving, happy self but unable to be his active puppy self. Dozer is the most loving, calm puppy I’ve ever met. Anyone who meets him falls in love with him even strangers bypassing just by his beautiful blue eyes and his unique spots of grey on his white coat. He has the cutest puppy eyes and the most loving demeanor Just getting dozer we haven’t initiated pet insurance yet and before we are able to do so he had gotten hurt causing this financial hardship while I am out of working and we are working on a one family income. Anything is appreciated and helpful

Elton
Elton is a 4 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Groton, CT, who needs $2,000 for Laminectomy -Complex Ruptured Herniated Disc.
Groton, CT
Elton came into our life four years ago this December. My son found him on Petfinder when looking for a dog to rescue. We went and met him at the rescue and it was love at first sight. Elton is the sweetest and most fun and energetic dog, I know. he has added so much love and companionship since he joined our family. Elton is a brother to our cat, two bunnies, two birds and lots of fish. Elton was a healthy dog full of vibrant and love. Elton was taken to his vet the day before the worse all happened. He was x-rayed and his colon showed he was impacted so they gave an enema. That night, he woke up and was moaning in pain. And lost all function of his back legs. I rushed him to Pieper Memorial Hospital, where emergency care was given due to a herniated disc that ruptured. Elton loves to play soccer. He loves to play outside chasing birds and just running And having zoomies! he came into our lives at a time where we all needed love, and companionship. He has been through the ups and downs of our lives. He has helped my kids and I through happy and sad times he is always here to greet us, give us a lick and just be loving cuddling Elton. he loves chips and sports. Elton needed surgery immediately. Being a single mom & raising two children, one which will start college in the fall. My finances are very strapped with no money to spare. I had to borrow from my recently widowed mother to get him to help he needed. Financial help is needed

Ace
Ace is a 4 month old American Pit Bull Terrier in Middletown, CT, who needs $2,000 for Left Front Paw Amputation.
Middletown, CT
Ace was a gift from a family member and had been given to me and my children along with his sister Beba as you can see in one of the photos posted, she is the one with brown eyes. The two siblings were only about 2 months old when we first got them. Ace is placed at the Pieper Veterinary in Middletown CT 06457 since June 14th 2024 and will be getting his leg amputated. My two little ones were getting off the balcony heading to the bus and didn’t close the balcony door all the way. I followed them and threw the garbage into the cans. The dogs got onto the balcony as ace jumped down from the high balcony down to the ground in front of us. Ace is a calm dog but can be playful especially with his sister around play fighting together all the time. My two younger children are the main ones who play with them both most of the time throughout the days. We make sure that our dogs get well taken cared of and feel loved under our home. They are Gods gift to us. The bill for this leg amputation is a full total of 4-6k including after services and supplies that will help out as well. I am a visually impaired single mom and do not have that kind of money. From the grace of God, any cent and dime will be appreciated to help my baby.

Rockie
Rockie is a 2 year old French Bulldog in Vernon, CT, who needs $2,000 for BOAS Surgery.
Vernon, CT
Our beloved Rockie has been in our lives since he was 12 weeks old. They say the dog picks his owner and that's exactly what he did the day we got him. He climbed right into my arms and we never looked back. He means the world to myself and my 4 children. On 5/31/2024 Rockie was outside in the yard for only a few minutes & started experiencing heat stroke. He has been at the vet sedated, incubated and on oxygen. The vet keeps trying to take him off the oxygen and breathing tube but he goes back into respiratory distress. The vet is saying he needs life saving air way surgery to be able to live. Rockie is the most sweetest, silly little guy. We call him potato because he loves to lay and roll around. Rockie loves to give kisses and hugs. He is my shadow that literally follows me everywhere. Not having him for these past few days has been incredibly devastating and hard to deal with. My children miss their best buddy dearly and we are goping to save him. I am a single mom to 4 kiddos and a dog. I work a full time & part time job to try to give everyone a good life. I depleted all of my savings & family vacation funds trying to save Rockies life over the weekend. I unfortunately do not have any money left for his surgery.

Puddles
Puddles is a 20 month old American Bulldog in Preston, CT, who needs $2,000 for Correction of Untrained Prolapse.
Preston, CT
Puddles came to us from a puppy mill she was not fixed was severely under weight but is living her best life now with her human brother and sister she’s regained her weight and knows what it is to be loved. She is my kids first pet they picked out. I returned home from a weekend away to find puddles with a prolapses urethra this is cause her an inability to urinate I’ve got her at an emergency vet and the cost is not something we were prepared for. The vet says she need surgery urgently so her bladder doesn’t rupture, cause if it does she will become septic and require more treatment. Being kept in a crate for the first year of life and getting a hunched back from it Puddles doesn’t let that stop her. She runs to the door to greet my children when they get home from school and sleeps with them every night. She has learned to love and gives the best slober covered kisses. She snorts making her unique and she has won our hearts. She’s a lefty when she gives paw and loves her toys I recently was out of work due to needing neck surgery amthat put strain on our family financially. I am back to work now however our savings had to be used during my time of recovery. We are a family of 4, 5 including Puddles. Please help save our baby girl.

Dusse
Dusse is a 5 month old German Shepherd Dog in Meriden , CT, who needs $2,000 for Hernia Splenectomy.
Meriden, CT
D’usse came into my life through a person on Facebook when he was 2 months old because they couldn’t care for him he is now 5 months old. He’s growing up around my 2 year old pitty who needed a friend and ever since they’ve been together they have been inseparable and he has become an addition to our family that me and my boyfriend adore. The day I got d’usee I realized he had a lump on his side which I of course took him to the vet for at pieper memorial a few times trying to figure out what it was. They informed me he has a hernia with his spleen sticking out of his side. I was recommended to get the surgery within the next few weeks to try and keep his spleen intact or there would be a bigger possibility of it being removed. D’usse’s bestest friend in the world is his brother Zeus. He loves playing with him and running around chasing after each other and fighting over toys. He’s a sassy boy who will complain when he wants something and doesn’t get it. He is the most sweetest loving boy ever. Since the day I got him I fell in love with him and his silly personality. I love his cuddles and the way he loves adventures. This was not something I was expecting to cost so much. I even got care credit to cover all of the vet expenses I’ve had so far and have used all I had. I just want him to not be in pain anymore and to be able to play freely with no worries of pain

fendi
fendi is a 10 month old Yorkshire Terrier in Bloomfield, CT, who needs $2,000 for liver shunt.
Bloomfield, CT
Im a school bus driver who lives alone and decided getting a yorkie mainly because they are said to be the BEST LOVERS & GIVE VERY AWESOME COMPANIONSHIP, Im truely inlove with FENDI, she deserves a high maintenance name because she is truely a princess! She has been in my life for 10 months only to receive bad news when she was 6 months, our vet has diagnosed Fendi with a liver shunt disease. Glastonbury veterinary & Piper Internal medicine has determined that Fendi would need surgery to correct her liver shunt. Fendi is on an expensive diet & medications that only slow down the toxins to her brain, Fendi is only 2lbs & everyday seems like its the last day, as her mother Im more depressed then her I deprive my own meals if she doesnt eat, this experience is beyond stressful. Fendi is extremely unique, my dad recently passed & at times I feel he lives through her. Fendi is extremely intelligent our bond is remarkable, she truly is soothing & the most precious furbaby of all, im honestly unsure if I could even make it through without her. I struggle everyday to keep fendi afloat with the special food diet & meds that are needed every 2weeks, I live in a low income community however im not working full time hours due to fendi's condition she requires supervision & attention, some days fed by syringe.

Roxi
Roxi is a 7-year-old Boxweiler in Middletown, CT, who needs $2,000 for Limb Amputation.
Middletown, CT
The first time we saw Roxi was online when she was 6 weeks old. We immediately fell in love and knew that we had to have her. My young son and I drove 5 hours to pick her up when she was 8 weeks old. Our elder dog, Koda, took Roxi right in as his little sister. From the start Roxi had a special place in our hearts. She is smart, loving, and beautiful. She has always protected us with fierce love. Roxi loves to play outside with her little sister, Raven, now. She enjoys hiking with us and spending time running on the beach. Roxi loves to sleep in our bed with us and cuddle as much as possible. She runs to the window and then to the door each time someone comes home to greet them with a big smile, snuggles & pure joy. Roxi loves to greet other dogs when she goes on walks Ever since her little sister, Raven, came into our lives Roxi is the big protector and ensures that she goes ahead to make sure everything is safe. Roxi loves to play catch and will bring the Frisbee or ball back every time just for you to throw it again and again. She never tires of playing or running free with her favorite people around. Roxi has always been in excellent health which helped her stay so active. Recently she started to walk with a limp and we thought she hurt her ankle from running around. Instead we were blindsided by the devastating news that she has bone cancer. Dr. Fayette at Piper Veterinary told us our options are to amputate or euthanize. The later is incomprehensible to us as Roxi is so full of life. The expense needed for the amputation/cancer treatments came at the worse time. We are on a fixed income as my husband is retired, and we recently had to use our savings plus take a loan to replace our roof & furnace. We want to give Roxi her life back so she can run free.

Zeppelin
Zeppelin is a 12-year-old Pitbull in Wallingford, CT, who needs $2,000 for Tetraparesis.
Wallingford, CT
Zeppelin was adopted from a rescue group and then fostered for adoption. I adopted Zeppelin on Father’s Day two months after my dad tragically passed away. Zeppelin was everything I needed in such a difficult time in my life. I saved him and he ultimately saved me. Zeppelin has become the emotional support dog to me and is my bestfriend. I like to believe he was gift from my dad. Zeppelin is a lover, a cuddler, a piggy, and loves to sleep and snore. Zeppy loves his squeaker toys, begs for food, eats rabbit poop, and insists on following me everywhere I go even if that means the bathroom. He is a very needy pup. Zeppelin’s favorite thing to do around dinner time is to pick up his bowl and bring it to another location in the house. He’ll drop it and all the kibble spills everywhere which allows him to eat the trail it leaves behind. He also cannot go to sleep without being covered entirely by a blanket or will cry. If he gets uncovered in the middle of the night he’ll cry and wake you up to cover him. Zeppelin starting using the bathroom uncontrollably in the house multiple times a day everyday. He slowly started losing function and motor skills on his right side. I brought him to the vet and they gave him steroids and took X-rays. Over the next 3 days he was brought back for steroids and antibiotics but his condition only worsened until he was completely unable to walk. Zep was brought to the ER & they took an MRI and found that his C4 and C5 discs were severely herniated which caused the loss of mobility. The only way for Zepp to restore mobility and his motor skills was to receiver emergency surgery which would cost $5600

Diego
Diego is a 4-year-old Domestic Long Hair-Tuxedo Cat in Bristol, CT, who needs $2,000 for Hind Leg Amputation.
Bristol, CT
Diego was a rescue, that also rescued us in return. He came into our lives a couple of years ago when his original owner passed away. His owner after that owned a husky that was incompatible with Diego. Which is when we took Diego into our home and have loved him ever since. We’re a home of 2 young boys, and myself and my husband. My 10 year old son David has severe autism and Diego is his emotional support animal. Diego is very special to us all but extremely special to our son. Diego sleeps in David’s bed every evening and snuggles David during meltdowns and episodes. He’s truly an irreplaceable animal to our family. I always say that Diego is a cat who doesn’t like to be seen as a cat. He does not show cat like behaviors often and when he does, and someone sees it he stops as if he has been “caught being a cat.” Diego is too smart to chase a laser pointer, and considers himself to be cute but dignified. In a world of “who rescued who,” Diego has rescued us with all the love a giant fluff ball can give. We discourage Diego getting outside. However Diego is very intelligent and has found ways out for fresh air but has always returned safely. Until 10/16/2023 Diego came home with an observable dislocated leg and fracture. It was determined that Diego’s leg had been trapped and twisted in a way to cause such an injury outdoors. He is receiving surgery at Pieper Memorial in Middletown, CT. I just began a new job after working an unpaid externship for the medical field. In addition to this my spouse had been the only income and the timing of this simply could not have been any worse. Simply, we did not have the funds for this awful event to occur.

sky
sky is a 6-year-old Pitbull in new Britain , CT, who needs $2,000 for Blockage Surgery.
new Britain, CT
i first saw Sky at 3 months old she was the runt of the litter. Also the last puppy they had left. As soon as i saw her i knew i needed her in my life. Sky is 5 years old to date and her birthday is oct 7th 2017. and her name comes from how blue her eyes were as a puppy.she has been my best friend She Is My Protector, sweetest dog i ever met with a very strong personality and attitude at times. She loves kids and other animals and her favorite person is my grandma. Times are hard for everyone in the world right now.My grandmother just recently moved in with me.We are struggling and now my child (fur baby) is sick we are trying to do everything in our power to get her the treatment. Sky is special for a number of reasons but most of all i think her heart. The way she protects her home and the people she loves. When you say the words ( out side ) she jumps up to the door and spins around in circle until you open the door. when she sleeps she has to either spoon you or be spooned. There Are No Other Options.my favorite is when you pet her she places her paw on your arm. Sky has been a great healthy dog until now.Recently she started vomiting nonstop. I took her to Pieper Veterinary Berlin Street. They suggested an ultrasound, they found a blockage in her small intestine (large foreign object ) Sky went into emergency surgery yesterday. There were complications, they removed 3-4 inches of her intestines. she is in recovery now with close supervision. please pray As of right now my mortgage went up 300$ a month and my grandmother just moved in with me. i am supporting her until she gets back on her feet.Getting help right now would mean the world to me! at times i think of giving up i know that i can’t and just have to keep swimmin

Tomi
Tomi is a 1-year-old Mediumhair Cat in Berlin , CT, who needs $2,000 for Amputation.
Berlin, CT
Stray started coming to my parent’s home. Started feeding him, noticed he was limping. Caught him and brought him in the house looked at his paw, open oozing wound. Took to vet hospital in North Haven. Determined he would need leg amputated. Quote was $8,000.00. Didn’t have the heart to put him down after Vet said that he’d do very well with 3 legs and that he was about 1 year old. Very friendly cat. We checked with animal control, lost pet site. Couldn’t find the owner, if indeed there was a previous owner. He might have something wrong with his hind end because whenever it’s touched he does scratch. He has not had an X-ray yet. I’d assume they’d do this on surgery day. Cat has been in the house for 3 weeks and just trying to keep him comfortable. He does have a sore leg and limps when he walks so we are not really trying to play with him. Just keeping him comfortable. Took to a second vet who said the same thing, amputation would be necessary. $2,400-2,900. Vet thought he’d be able to get funding for surgery. Found out 3 days before surgery that there would be no funding. So far the cost for both hospitals has been approximately $600.00. My parent’s are 87 and on a fixed income. The surgery has potential to be an additional $3,000.00

Finn
Finn is a 1-year-old Golden Retriever in East Longmeadow , MA, who needs $2,000 for Spinal Surgery.
East Longmeadow, MA
Finn is almost 2 years old a few weeks ago he went from being an active dog to not being able to walk. Currently he is in the veterinary hospital after he had spinal surgery. We have already paid almost $12,000. He is looking at more surgery if he doesn’t start walking. He is our world. Please help him. He lives in a large household we’re he is our world. He also has a cat sister Rosie. Who loves him. Finn loves his toys, naps, ice cream and lots of love. Finn just makes the world a better place. His smile and love makes any day better. He is our everything. His favorite thing to do is play ball, be always with his family, car rides and bedtime snuggles. Our veterinarian is currently treating Finn for a tumor in his spin. He was apparently born with it. Finn just underwent spinal surgery to remove it, but they could not get it all out. Another surgery is possible. We have used our entire savings to help save Finn. This expense was very unexpected. We just move to a new house, we have twin daughters in college and we have used our savings to help Finn. We want to try to save him. He is our world.

Netti Santiago
Netti is a 9-year-old Yorkie in New Britain, CT, who needs $2,000 for Open Pyometra- Surgical Removal of Uterus.
New Britain, CT
It's been a rough week and we still aren't in the clear. We've had Netti for almost 4 years now. We adopted her after losing our 13 year old dog Timmy. Her former family was adopting some children and they felt they were no longer suited for her. She is so loved and missed by everyone! Netti is the boss lady around here. She loves to just hang out by our side. She doesn't like to much ruckus or rough housing and she will let you know. I swear Netti talks to us with her eyes. Shes so expressive. She just wants everyone happy and hanging out. She's the boss and we all miss her; Myself, her Titi Eb, my daughter Diamond, & her fur brother Cooper. Dr. Gardner is taking care of our Netti. She has Pyometra; an infection of the uterus. With out surgery she wont make it. She's been down for about a week now. Just not herself and not a peep really. That's how we knew something was wrong. She's a big time barker. At the moment I am transitioning from my job to a new business. And just yesterday my car broke down in the middle of a call with the vet. We just miss our girl and want her to come home. Unfortunately doggy ERs come with huge expenses and we're trying to piece it together.

Bullet
Bullet is a 2-month-old American Bully/Pitbull Mix in New Britain , CT, who needs $1,000 for Intestinal Blockage Removal.
New britain, CT
My boyfriend and I have been talking about getting a puppy for the longest, so we found a breeder in New Britain, CT and decided to go ahead and purchase our fur baby. We’ve had Bullet since he was about 3 weeks of age, who now is 10weeks of age. He is definitely in a better place now then when we got him looked as if he had mange at just 3 weeks but turned out to be nothing. Bullet loves to sleep in his bed or under the couch or the table in the kitchen, he love to jump and play and bite us but he knows his limits on biting. He loves going outside to play, his first time at the beach was funny he dug until he reached China.. lol. He loves to tug a war with dad, we haven’t brought him to do any type of swimming yet but he got excited for the water at the beach. Bullets favorite toy of all time is his raccoon or his stuffed cow. His favorite treat have to a snausage-like the pig in a blanket but for dogs. Just witness the other day he was definitely afraid of the thunder from the storm. Bullet definitely loves to talk especially when you tell him no he keeps going until he gets what he wants, he is also just the sweetest little boy ever We went to two vets; the third did an exam giving fluid patch, parvo test-which came back negative on 6/5/23. This all started on 6/1/23 with being on a budget, Pieper was able to find out on 6/7/23 with an X-ray he had a foreign object stuck in his intestines and needed surgery ASAP because he lost so much weight from not eating or drinking for days. I work but it’s hard to save money when you get paid biweekly and still struggle to even put gas in the car or even food in my stomach. When it’s only you working and have to support a dog in emergency situation like this it takes a toll on you and financially.

Cooper
Cooper is a 4-year-old Maltese in East Haven, CT, who needs $1,300 for Laminectomy.
East Haven, CT
Cooper came to our family as a rescue in the winter of 2019, very unexpectedly as a puppy. We weren't sure if we would keep him as we had our senior Boxer, but they became best friends instantly. Cooper instantly became the little comedian and light of our home. He currently is the man of the house and I'm sure waiting to come home after his surgery is completed!! Cooper recently lost his best friend and pet companion Leo in August 2022. He was integral to providing company and friendship to Leo during his last years. At this time Cooper lives at home where he is doted on daily by with myself, my mother and his beloved Auntie Sarah. He loves to cuddle on the couch and watch TV or run around outside with the neighborhood pups. If you want to meet the sweetest, most rambunctious Maltese, look no further because that Cooper. Cooper is truly the kindest little guy who makes every he meets fall in love with him. He loves to dance, running on the beach and playing with other pups. Cooper has become such an integral part of our family and has made our home feel complete. Words cannot describe the love we have for him. Our Sweet boy Cooper suffered an unfortunate accident after a family outing which caused him to suffer a Spinal Injury, with loss of mobility to his back legs. His neurologist is confident that Cooper will make a full recovery with a Laminectomy to remove a herniated disc! Coopers estimate for the procedure is around $4500. As this accident happened suddenly, our family has been able to cover the diagnostic testing and ER visits, but not the full funds required for his surgery. Unfortunately, his pet insurance did not help cover costs.

Athena
Athena is a 2-year-old Siberian Husky in Torrington, who needs $1,720 for C-Section.
Torrington
We adopted Athena at 8 weeks old from a friend and has been in our life since, she is now almost 3 years old and has been an amazing addition to our family, our 3 year old son absolutely adores his “Thena” and she means the world to us. We couldn’t picture our lives without her, she was the missing puzzle piece to our family. Athena has an older doggie sister named Zoey who is 5 years old and they are best friends, they mimic each other and follow each others lead on everything. Athena loves to love and be loved but also has so much energy and wants to play all the time, my 3 year old son loves to play around with her and is always calling for her. Athena is special to me because my whole life I wanted a Husky, my fiancé surprised me with her for my birthday and she has filled my heart with so much love since. She brightens our day. She is everything I could have asked for and more, she listens so well and will do anything to protect our family. In March 2023, we decided to breed Athena because we wanted another title Husky to add to our family. It was a success and Athena was pregnant. On May 17th Athena went into labor and birthed two little puppies. Later that day, we brought her to the emergency vet to find out she still had two puppies stuck in her birth canal and her stomach. She required an emergency C-Section to save her life. Me and my fiancé both work full time jobs, but between our fur babies, and our son and bills, we were not expecting the bill that we had due to her surgery. Luckily we found Pieper Vet and they helped us with a payment plan to save Athena’s life.

Gunner
Gunner is a 8-year-old Spaniel Mix in Wethersfield , CT, who needs $1,800 for Emergency Surgery for 6” Wound & Infection.
Wethersfield, CT
I’m raising money for my dog Gunner. Here is a little bit about us. Gunner is an 8-year-old spaniel mix. My mom rescued him after he was abandoned in an apartment as a puppy. He was my mom’s baby, spoiled beyond imagination. When my mom passed from cancer in 2018, he came to live with me. Fast forward to the tragic day of April 8th 2023. He was attacked by neighbors dog off leash. He is spoiled beyond belief. He sleeps on his nice comfy bed. He loves to go on walks and be outside. He loves his bones. He’s so full of energy and spunk even after being abandoned by his original owners he just loves you unconditionally. He loves to play especially tug of war every day I come home from work he’s there waiting to greet me tail wagging and happy he loves people and stuffed animals He is so special to me because it was my mothers dog and she passed away from cancer in may of 2018. It’s the last thing I have that reminds me of my mom and how full of life she was and how much love and joy she had to offer the world. Every day I come home and see him it makes me smile and think of my mom who was very special to me so full of life like gunner. Every day I look at him I see her. The dog that attacked my baby lunged and latched at his throat, causing a 6-inch-deep wound. Gunner has had 2 surgeries and needs a third, he has an infection around the 6in wound that the antibiotics aren’t touching. We have incurred $3000 in vet bills so far and the vet estimated the next surgery will be anywhere between 2k-4k. I’ve spent already 3k which was everything I had saved up and I have nothing left to save his life. I’ve already lost my mother to a tragic illness I can’t lose him too. My home would be empty along with my heart and life. It would mean everything to save his life.

Layla
Layla is a 7-year-old Chihuahua Mix in Meriden, CT, who needs $2,000 for CCNU (Chemotherapy).
Meriden, CT
Layla has been with me through every major milestone and been my partner through the years. Due to her cancer, Layla has had to deal with nausea, vomiting, pain, diarrhea, and lack of appetite the past few months. Since starting chemo she has regained her appetite & energy. We don't know how much time we have left with her, but we hope to give her the best quality of life possible and best chance. Layla has been the older sister to our dog Oso, cat Camilo, and late rabbit Oreo. She is the life of the house, with snuggling and neighborhood watch being her favorite pastimes. She is indecisive when it comes to sleeping, so she will wake up in the middle of the night and make sure she spends a few hours with each of us every night. Layla is a courageous and loving member of our family. Despite her worsening health, Layla's personality continues to shine. She's a huge fan of belly rubs even following the invasive stomach surgery she had last month. Upon arrival, Layla will come to greet you at the door with any scrap of food she can find, usually a piece of tortilla. She'll perform a wiggle and show off her tortilla to everyone before going outside to be the neighborhood watch. Layla was diagnosed with an aggressive, high-grade lymphoblastic lymphoma last month following months of diagnostic exams. After the initial discovery of her stomach mass, Layla underwent an endoscopic biopsy and fine needle aspiration without success. Due to the complex area of her tumor an invasive surgery had to be performed which was not able to remove the mass, but at least offer a diagnosis. Layla has begun her first round of chemo. Seeing her quality of life improve has meant the world to us, but I am no longer able to keep up with her amassing bills. Between her primary vet, surgeon, and specialist I am afraid I won't be able to continue chemo.

Duffy
Duffy is a 5-year-old Beagle/Bulldog in Bristol , CT, who needs $1,700 for Uterus Removal.
Bristol, CT
I found Duffy online a family was selling puppies from a litter their dogs had. She’s been with us for almost 6 years, her birthday is on May 28. She has a fur sister who is a cat they have a love/hate relationship for one another. But when they love each other it’s beautiful to see. Duffy loves her older brother, and loves to play with him. Duffy came into our lives almost 6 years ago. She has brought so much joy into me and my sons lives. She loves to play fetch but in her own special way where you’re actually the one chasing her for the ball back. She is always full of so much energy and there is never a dull moment with Duffy. She keeps our home full of laughter. Duffy loves to play and she does this thing where she walks very slowly towards you during play and we get a kick outta this. Duffy has puppy energy and I’m going to enjoy every minute of it. Duffy is happy when she receives new toys or bones and she has to take it run and roll around with it to show her excitement. Duffy is ready to play from the moment she opens her eyes. This morning I didn’t get that energy from her. She was laying around shaking and I’m pain. My heart broke because I wasn’t sure what it could be. I decided to take her to our veterinarian, where she was diagnosed with a infected and swollen uterus and needed surgery to remove the uterus to prevent rupture and sepsis Unfortunately at this moment I do not have the money to cover the cost of this surgery and I’m asking for any help in finding this medical bill to get Duffy back in good health. There’s no amount too small and anything is greatly appreciated.

Cross
Cross is a 2-year-old American Bully in Wilbraham , MA, who needs $1,775 for MRI with Anesthesia.
Wilbraham, MA
We are a family of 6… 4 humans and 2 four legged loves… Cross and Ryder! We have had Cross for almost a year. Our cousin owned him but struggled with allergies and could not keep him. We really wanted to keep him within our family so we adopted him! He has become one of us almost instantly! What a love he has been. Cross is the SWEETEST dog ever! He is 2 years old but has an old soul. He is playful but most of the time laid back and mellow! Extremely gentle and loving! We have two children, a 9 year old and a 6 year old who has special needs and Cross is so gentle and loving to both. He looks over them and makes sure they are both always safe! He loves placing his big ol head on your laps for head rubs or throws himself on the floor for belly rubs! With him being so mellow and laid back, he likes shorts walks around the neighborhood. He loves car rides and being outdoors! He is a goofy meatball head and every where we go he tried to get his rubs in. He has unfortunately suffered an injury to his spinal cord/tail that has caused him to become incontinent. He has lost the ability to control his tail, urine and bowel movements. We have been told we need to get an MRI done to determine the extent of the injury and possible surgery to repair any damage and hopefully help get his bowel control back! This injury is unexpected and we have spent a a lot of funds trying to fix him. The vet originally said it was due to an enlarged prostate and had us neuter him but it did not fix any of his issues!

Mila
Mila is a 7-month-old Long Hair Domestic Cat in Hartford, CT, who needs $2,000 for ACVS Hindlimb Amputation.
Hartford, CT
I adopted Mila from a local place. I got her when she was around 2 months old. She is my first and only pet and I got her to be my companion because I live alone. She was a rescue cat as well. I was in the process of possibly adding another cat in order to get her more acquainted with other animals and then this happened. She’s always bouncing around off the furniture and playing non stop. It’s just me and her in the home and when my family comes over she’s just as playful with them all. She has this thing where out of no where she gets this big burst of energy and just starts doing laps around the living room. It’s wildest thing ever but yet so adorable. I love how chill and relaxed she can be. She kind of reminds me of myself which is why I took so much of a liking towards her when I was adopting her. She has this thing where she’s listens for my car noise when I lock it so as soon as I open the door she’s at the bottom of the stairs waiting for me. She waits for me to start walking up to follow suit. This is an emergency incident where she broke her left hind leg and now needs it to be amputated. She somehow broke it and in the worst are possible. She’s currently immobile for the most part and can barely even eat or use the litter box. I currently have her at the veterinary hospital in order to her care for her. With this emergency I cannot fund the hospital bill in order for her to receive the appropriate care she needs. For the few short months I’ve had her she has bring a light in my life and took me out of a dark place.

Mila
Mila is a 7-month-old Long Hair in Hartford, CT, who needs $2,000 for ACVS Hindlimb Amputation.
Minky
Minky is a 2.5-year-old Longhair Cat in Middletown, CT, who needs $2,000 for Overnight Hospitalization.
Middletown, CT
I got Minky is 2021 from a shelter. My boyfriend who I lived with was being deployed and Minky became my new roommate. He was the shyest kitty in the shelter, so scared, but someone needed to give him a chance and that was me. My baby hid for a couple of weeks but eventually came around and became the most cuddly and affectionate cat I’ve ever known. He loves chasing little balls around the house and attacking my feet while I sleep. His favorite activity though is probably snuggling up to me on the couch so I can pet under his chin. Or making biscuits on the pillow and leaving a little puddle of drool haha. He loves to set a good example for the little brother, Winston. Minky loves chasing fish when I play videos on my phone and he plays tug of war with my other cat with a shoe string too. He is super food driven and comes running when it's meal time or if he hears his treats bag. He's super super shy but he is coming around to other people and wants to be the center of attention, which is why he always joins my work Zoom calls. He got into Stargazer Lilies- a highly toxic flower. I had to rush both of my cats to the emergency room, where they were admitted and will remain for a few days to undergo treatment. My shy little babies are all alone there and it breaks my heart. I just hope they’re okay. I live alone and the hospitalization treatment is running me over six grand. That’s a hugely significant fee for a single person income to tackle. I’d give anything to have them better. The house is too quiet without them.

Loaf
Loaf is a 2-month-old Dalmation in New Haven, CT, who needs $2,000 for Femur Reconstruction.
New Haven, CT
We found Loaf living in a poor situation where he was in a dirty shed with six of his brothers and sisters. We knew he was the one when the breeder told us he was deaf and his probable outcome would be euthanization. His deafness only made him that much more unique. With his cute little spotted face and his little disability we knew we were his forever home. Loaf loves his new home, he lives in a college apartment closely interacting with everyone in the house! He loves the attention! Loaf is very playful and also very clumsy. He runs around constantly, and when he's done he'll lay right on top of your head to take a much needed nap. He has opened up so much since we got him and you can see how happy he has become in such a short time. Loaf has so many reasons why he is special, for one, he is fully deaf in both ears. That doesn't stop him from making everyone laugh! He slips on hardwood floors when he has the zoomies, he plays with himself in the mirror because he thinks it's another dog, he loves to chase tennis balls but he hasn't mastered bringing it back yet. He is the most special dog, and he is so loved by so many people. On Christmas morning Loaf took a little fall, but a significant one. He broke his femur right in half and had other complication with that including a fissure near the growth plate. We brought him to an emergency veterinary hospital and they were nothing but wonderful. Everyone there was super kind and accommodating, especially with Loafs uncomfortability. I am confident in their abilities. We are college students with single parents that are not too fortunate. We both play sports so a full time job isn't possible. The $8500 procedure left us in a ditch and we have no where to go to save our puppy. We would do anything for Loaf to be back fully healthy again.

Rex
Rex is a 6-year-old Pit Mix in Moosup, CT, who needs $2,000 for Fracture Repair.
Moosup, CT
Rex has been with us his whole life, he is about 6 &1/2 years old. He lives with my husband and I, our 2 daughters and his doggy sister Sahara. He has already beat some incredible odds by surviving parvo as a very young puppy, he is strong and resilient. Rex means so much to us all and is loved with all our hearts. Rex absolutely loves his human sisters and his dog sister as well! He loves being moms shadow, he is always with me, even in the bathroom, lol. He absolutely loves sneaking a snack when dinner is being prepared or when daddy isn’t watching. Rex loves to snuggle up and give mom kisses, he is so gentle and has a huge doggy heart. Rex may be 6 &1/2, but he still acts like a crazy puppy all the time! He loves to jump and play ball. Sometimes we call him a bunny because he hops when we gets excited. He loves to play fight with dad ( mom thinks he always wins, dad likes to think he’s the winner). He barks at pretty much everything, but that’s Rex, he’s got a big, loud voice and he will let everyone know. Rex broke his back right leg while playing ball with dad. Rex jumped up, as he does all the time and just didn’t stick the landing this time. He will be getting surgery to repair his leg, the veterinary team will be putting a plate and screws in place. Surgery is scheduled for 10/20/2022. We are asking for donations to help in Rex’s medical services because this is extremely unexpected. We just moved back home to CT and didn’t have a lot saved up yet, moves are expensive and a dogs broken leg is not something we anticipated. Any amount will help. Thank you.

Tucker
Tucker is a 4-year-old Havanese in Springfield , MA, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.
Springfield, MA
Tucker was going to be put down by its owner. Same day that happened we were planning on getting a dog to make it a therapy pet for my then suicidal daughter. We then took him home and he’s been with us for almost 2 years. He was 2 years in a half so we decided to keep his name. Since tucker has been with us thanks to him we have seen a change in my daughter. Tucker loves to sleep with me his mom (owner) he loves to be outside all the time, he communicates very well with me and the kids and my fiancé. He loves salmon treats very much. He also likes to sit under the sun as he loves the warmth. He loves to go on car rides and look out the windows the whole ride and he also loves to chase the mailman. Tucker likes his fur buddies but not to close to him as he likes to be alone or with us his family, he is scared of fireworks and thunder he immediately goes under the bed when he hears loud noises. He loves the snow he runs all over it when it snows. I love how tucker protects us and how much we have bonded with him in almost 2 years. Tucker needs an emergency surgery for his leg they said either surgery or amputation is necessary because he has a laceration that can cause infection and it can worsen. I want to save his life again but I don’t have the money they’re asking for to give him the proper medical care. He’s currently admitted to peiper veterinary hospital in Middletown ct we currently reside in Springfield ma. It will mean the world to save our dog tucker he’s not just a pet he’s part of our family. The kids love him and are very devastated and afraid to lose tucker we don’t want to put him down. I currently have 5 kids I rent and am disabled.

Sunny
Sunny is a 5-year-old Goldendoodle in Bristol, CT, who needs $2,000 for ACVS R Forelimb Amputation.
Bristol, CT
Sunny came to live with us about two years ago and we are his second home. Sunny had a bit if a rough start in life. He became very sick as a puppy, but with lots of love and great medical care he survived and thrived into adulthood. He has been very healthy until his recent diagnosis of a cancerous leg tumor. Sunny lives with another dog and two cats. He is by far the biggest animal in the house, but the most gentle. He loves attention from people, excitedly greeting everyone when they arrive home and always jumping in bed for a very close cuddle. He loves to give big wet kisses to any and everyone he meets. Sunny is the sweetest, and goofiest dog I have ever met. He is very vocal, making lots of noises when he wants your attention. He is always by my side, following me everywhere we go. His favorite thing in the world is going for a walk. As soon as he sees me putting on shoes and grabbing some "poop bags", he starts to jump around the room and circles my legs until I clip his leash on. Sunny has been under the wonderful care of Pieper Veterinary. I first brought him in to look at a growth on his front right leg. The vet took a sample of his tumor and I was told it was a mast cell tumor with abnormal cells. After x-rays, an ultrasound, and bloodwork showed no spreading, surgery was the next step. The size of the tumor left amputation as the best option. The surgery is expensive, but necessary to keep him healthy for years to come. This was unexpected and I am unable to pay the full amount myself. That is why I am humbly reaching out to my friends and family for help and support.

Nova
Nova is a 1-year-old Catahoula leopard dog mix in Manchester , CT, who needs $150 for Testing and Diagnosis.
Manchester, CT
Nova lives me and my husband and our other dog and her 10 puppies that she gave birth to today. She has been absolutely great with her puppies and very attentive. Any noises she goes right over to check on them. She has the roam of the house except for when my husband and I go to work. She is well loved and taken care. She is very loveable and loves to cuddle. She loves to play with rope toys and much more. She throws the toys up and catches them. She also whips them around and sometimes I just laugh because she hits herself with sometimes and then after she whacks herself she looks at me and shakes her head and goes right back to playing. How she talks back to me if I'm talking to her. The way she plays and tosses the toys around. The way she comes to me for love and attention and how she cuddles with me when she just wants to be close to me. She gives affection like she receives it. If I'm not feeling good she's right there to make me feel better with her cuddles and her kisses She gave birth to 10 puppies this morning. She has been very attentive and loving towards her puppies. Her last puppy was delivered at 10am this morning. She is still continuing to breathe hard and rapidly. I want to get her checked but our money is tight right now. I just started a new job and won't have the amount needed for her visit. I just started a new job. With her having a hard breathing span again and rapid breathing and won't have or have the funds for a couple of weeks and she needs to get checked out asap.

Bobo
Bobo is a 6-year-old Pomeranian Mix in Southwick, MA, who needs $2,000 for Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia Treatment.
Southwick, MA
Bobo came into our life as a foster puppy from down south. At the time I have been fostering dogs for almost over a year and he stole our hearts and was our first ever foster failure. He lives with his puppy sister Belle and his two human sisters 13 and 2 years old. We are not sure about his past before he came to live with us, but know he loves cookies, snuggles, and dinner time. Bobo loves to lay on the couch with his people. He also loves to lay in the sun on our deck while the family splashes around the pool. His favorite pass time is following his toddler human sister to see what yummy snacks she will drop. He also enjoys playing catch by chasing tiny tennis balls all over the house. Bobo came into our lives 3 years ago and has added so much joy. When you come into our home your invited by Bobo with his raspy bark Everyone who meets him for the first time asks "uhh is that his bark" yup it is. He brings a smile to all our faces when he pounces around after his mini tennis balls. Bobo has just suddenly been diagnosed with Autoimmune hemolytic anemia. He has a long treatment ahead of him and is currently spending his time at a 24/7 emergency care vetrianairn hospital in Milford CT. He will remain their for five days to restart his immue system and then have continual medication for two months. This diagnoses needs around the clock care for at least 5 days which leads the estimated cost to be very high. We care so much for our BoBo but do not have the emergency founds to cover this amount of extensive vet care.

Nala
Nala is a 2-year-old Shih Tzu in Meriden , CT, who needs $1,300 for Surgery to Deliver Puppies.
Meriden, CT
My baby Nala she was given to me by my brother and I had her for 2 years. She's very lovable and laid-back dog she gets along with everybody in the house including Berry that's my other dog I had Barry for about a year. they're always run around playing together she loves children my children love her Nala has two beds one in the living room and one in the bedroom her favorite one is the pink one in the living room. Nala is a snack alcoholic she hears any bag rattle and here she comes running in automatically she sits and stares and waits patiently for her snacks she likes taking walks with the kids and she loves to be carried and babied She loves the snow anytime we had a snowy they now it will scratch out the door just to go play in the snow it's just stay out there and come back in full of snow no matter how cold she will want to go and play in the snow. I just wish you love bath time as much as she loved the snow bath times are the hard as she's always trying to jump out of the tub before we even get started Not to long ago I found out my dog was pregnant of course I'm happy they're going to be new members in the house but today when she was trying to give birth she was having some complications. this is her first time having a litter. We thought she would be able to do it on her own but once the puppies had came out the puppy got stuck she was crying out so unfortunately sad to say we lost one of the puppies I recently stopped working at one of the jobs that I had and now it's been hard trying to maintain a home children into dogs and now having puppies and it would mean absolutely the world to me if I can get just a little better help or caring for Nala I would not want anything to happen to her I don't know what I would do without my baby Nala

Luna
Luna is a 4-year-old Pit Mix in North Oxford , MA, who needs $2,000 for Enterotomy.
North Oxford, MA
My parents rescued me at the young age of 1 years old! I live in nice cozy home with loving parents and a big yard so I can do lots of zooms!! I have a brother who my parents rescued two years ago and we have become the best of friends. I love ripping toys apart, doing sprints in the yard and eating yummy treats! I'm very active but I also love napping and cuddling with my dad throughout the day. Luna loves people more than anything in the world. She wants constant belly rubs and has a very gentle soul. If Luna had it her way she would have company over everyday. She is so gentle with young babies and kids. Luna will play all day long! She is well fed and although she would love to eat table scraps all day we try to keep her on a strict organic diet so she lives a long happy life. Luna has a 4 legged brother who she loves to play with and annoy. She likes to steal his toys when he's not looking but he doesn't mind. Luna is always happy and has the sweetest smile you've ever seen. She is a HUGE cuddlier and wants to be as close to you as possible. Luna has a tough bark but in reality she is scarred of anything that talks back to her and couldn't hurt a fly. Early this week Luna experienced several episodes of vomiting and she refused to eat her food. Luna is very food driven so this was extremely unusual for her. Our local Vet feared she may be suffering from a bowl obstruction. We took my sweet Luna to the wonderful Pieper Veterinary Emergency Center. Dr. Kathleen Kimball confirmed the obstruction was there and informed me surgery was required. This medical incident couldn't have come at a worst time for my family. We are expecting our first child very very soon and have spent every last dollar preparing. Words can not express what I would do to see my sweet girl smile again. Any donation would be a huge help!!!

Drax
Drax is a two-year-old Micro Bully dog in Albany, NY, who needs $2,000 for emergency surgery.
Albany, NY
If you've ever been lucky enough to have a dog in your life -- you've probably also been unlucky enough to know sometimes they eat the weirdest things! And sometimes those strange things cause big trouble! That's exactly what happened to Samatha M. and her beloved, Drax. "Easter weekend of 2022 began with him throwing up for two days on and off," Samantha tells Waggle. She brought him to the veterinarian, and soon she got distressing news. "They informed me that his stomach was detached and something was blocking his small intestines," Samantha says. Drax had severe dehydration and needed emergency surgery. Samantha raced him to Pieper Veterinary hospital. It turns out Drax ate a tiny piece of rubber, and it plugged up his entire digestive system. If he didn't have it removed, he would have died. "After the procedure, Drax's medical bills totaled $7,467.51," Samantha says. "This was very difficult for me financially because I was not prepared to have these funds on hand." Samantha is frantically trying to raise the money to pay for Drax's care. She hopes other generous pet lovers (who may have even faced the same situation) will give to her campaign. There was no way she could not have saved Drax's life. "Drax has made the biggest impact in my life and has changed it for the better," Samantha says. "He is my entire heart and the piece that fits all my missing pieces in life. He is the dog my heart never knew it needed so desperately."

Ava
Ava is a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees Mix Dog in Haddam, CT, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.
Haddam, CT
Ava came into our life when I saw her picture on PetFinder. She looked so sad, scared and dirty in the photo that I knew I had to take her. She was at a rescue in Arkansas that definitely wasn’t the best. I immediately filled out an an application and made sure she would be coming to live with us. She has been the sweetest and most loving dog I have ever had. Ava is so sweet and loves our daughter Gigi and her best dog friend Axel. She loves to play and her favorite thing in the world is food. There’s never a time where she isn't trying to get a snack! She loves to snuggle and sleep on her favorite couch. When she’s outside in the yard she likes to lay in the tall grass and smell all the flowers. What makes Ava special is that she is incredibly sweet to everyone and loves to see all her human friends when they come to visit, giving everyone a big hug. She is also always tapping me with her paw to get her way or my attention but shes very polite. If she wants something she will sit next to me and very gently tap me with her paw. She also loves cats and the snow. Ava was severely injured by another dog and needs extensive medical treatment to heal the wound on her chest as well as surgery. There is a serious risk of infection so she is receiving care now to decrease risk of infection before she can have surgery. She is staying at Piper Olsen Veterinary the cost is way more than we ever imagined. The cost of her care is astronomical and far more than we have saved even for our emergency funds. Ava makes our family whole and had brought us all so much happiness our family will be completely empty without her.
