Taffy
Taffy is a 10 year old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,388 for Diagnostics and Treatment for Mass in Throat and Dental Surgery
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Sweet as the candy, Taffy lives with her brother, Blind Truman and her sister Tootie (both have or had Waggle campaigns) at the Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue. This trio of littermates are know as The Triplets. A few days ago, we felt a concerning lump/mass in Taffy's throat. Our vet examined her, ran lab tests and took a sample for a cytology. While there is no signs of cancer or infection, we need to monitor the mass closely and if it doesn't resolve on its own, we need to move to plan B which will involve medications and/or surgery. Taffy inherited the "bad teeth" gene, like her brother Truman. Her dental disease started causing her problems that no amount of daily brushing, scaling or additives could fix. We recently had to extract her remaining teeth to prevent infection, pain, sickness and premature death. We now need to raise funds to cover those vet bills. Taffy is the most outgoing of the Triplets and is the strong one that holds the group together. She's also the overseer of the other hounds and always has her nose in everyone else's business. When NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue saw immediately how sister Tootie depended on Taffy for her support and comfort and they knew they could never separate them. Now, brother Blind Truman also leans on Taffy and together they share their caretaker's bed. Advanced age has brought Taffy some other medical issues, including an enlarged heart and pannus in both eyes. Thankfully, medications and supplements are keeping these in check. As a registered nonprofit animal rescue, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to pay for the medical care of the senior animals in their program. They have raised funds to cover Taffy's pre-surgical lab tests. Now they need funds to pay for her surgery bill. Can you help Taffy to live the rest of her life free of dental pain?

Truman
Truman is a 10 year old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,185 for Life Saving Eye Removal Surgery.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Truman came into our Sanctuary in early August of 2017 at 22 months of age. Already showing signs of advanced Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), we knew that this boy needed to be in special care and took him into the Sanctuary as quickly as we could. There isn’t much we can do to reverse the effects of PRA, as it’s a genetic disorder. It hits most dog breeds in mid-age, but for greyhounds, it appears sometime around the age of one. PRA destroys the retina and night vision is the first to be lost, with total blindness coming within a year or two. As Truman aged, he developed cataracts in both eyes. While removing the cataracts won't restore his vision, we needed to perform eye pressure tests regularly to make sure that the cataracts are not leading to glaucoma or uveitis. Truman’s eye pressures were normal for over 2 years but suddenly, the cataracts started to shift (luxation) and cause deep spikes in pressure, first very low, then very high. Medications proved to be ineffective and his pain levels were rising. We needed to provide Truman with life saving enucleation and remove both eyes before his pain became intolerable. Truman is healing from his surgery and getting a bit stronger every day. Truman is truly a special guy, as sweet as can be, a true Velcro dog and wonderful companion. He’s found his courage to explore, to love and to be loved. Every day brings smiles as Truman adjusts to his medical condition and thrives. He even helps the new hounds adjust to life at the Sanctuary. The MRLT vision sciences lab at the University of California – Davis conducted a genetic study of Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) in Greyhounds. Truman developed PRA but neither of his littermates, Tootie and Taffy, has the disease. Truman and his sisters, along with other greyhounds, provided valuable data for this study and led to the discovery of the gene responsible for PRA! Can you help this sweet boy that helps so many? As a registered, nonprofit animal rescue, we rely on donations to pay for the medical bills of the special needs animals in our care. Your donation will go allow us to continue in our mission to provide lifetime care to animals like Truman.

Buttercup
Found As a Stray Suffering & Hurting, Help Buttercup Bloom
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
When Buttercup was picked up as a stray by a local shelter, she could barely open her left eye. The shelter started to treat her, but when no one claimed her, we stepped in and transferred Buttercup to our Sanctuary. Her tests revealed that she not only had a painful corneal ulcer, she was also anemic and her white cell count was high and her abdomen was slightly distended. After 10 days on new medications for her corneal ulcer, antibiotics, supplements to combat her anemia and a thorough deworming, Buttercup is now improving and ready for spay and dental surgery. It's essential that we don't delay too long, in the event that she does have a uterine infection or is coming into heat. To our delight, sweet and quiet Buttercup is blooming. She loves to be held and snuggled – and we love holding and snuggling her. It’s tragically clear that, in the past, she was never shown the gentle and tender kindness she so deserved. NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to provide the best medical care possible to the life long residents at it's sanctuary. Now that Buttercup is finally and forever “home” at the Sanctuary, won’t you please help her continue to bloom? 4/15/26 Update Thank you, thank you, thank you! Because of the generosity of so many donors, Buttercup had her surgery and is feeling much better now. We are forever grateful for all the kindness that was showered on Buttercup and we are honored to be part of the Waggle community. Peace, Love, Rescue!

Tootie
Her Tail Never Stops Wagging — But Tootie's Teeth Can't Wait
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
After NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue took in her littermates, Blind Truman and Taffy, they received a call that Tootie was in need of a soft place to land. Without blinking an eye, they welcomed Tootie to the pack and the three are affectionately called "The Triplets." Bonded and sharing many of the same medical issues, they live happily at the Sanctuary and share their caretakers bed. Like her siblings, Tootie has hypertension and kidney disease, both well controlled with medications. She also inherited the genetics for tooth and gum issues, which are common in some greyhound bloodlines. No amount of brushing, scaling, liquid additives, or wipes would prevent gum disease and tooth loss and Tootie requires dental surgery to extract about half of her teeth. Tootie may be smaller in size but her effect is large. Sweet, affectionate and funny, with a “ROOOOOO” that’s the envy of littermates Truman and Taffy, this 10 year old is one happy honey who never stops wiggling and whose long tail never stops wagging. She’s also happy to lend her voice to her siblings’ for a rousing “ROOO” chorus at the drop of the proverbial hat. NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue provides sanctuary and medical care for special needs animals that are deemed unadoptable. They rely on donations to help pay their vet bills. Tootie is one of those special needs hounds that needs your support. Will you be her hero? 4/14/26 Update We are so grateful for the incredible outpouring of support for Tootie! Because of the generosity and kindness of so many donors, Tootie was able to have her dental surgery. She had quite a few extractions, but she's healed and feeling so much better. Her appetite is great and she's happy and ready to give everyone her special kisses! Waggle has been a tremendous help for the animals with medical needs and we are honored to be a part of this community. Thank you so much!!!!

Grandpa
Grandpa is a 12 year old Bloodhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $20 for Cystocentesis for Urine Culture.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Time has not been kind to Grandpa, affectionately known as Grandpawpaw. Not only was Grandpa woefully thin when he arrived, he lived for so long in chronic pain that it’s a testament to his resilience that he’s even still alive. His body is cruelly full of buckshot, he was anemic, and his liver was stressed—typical in cases of heavy parasite infestation, heartworm, and malnutrition and a severe case of hip dysplasia. Recently, Grandpa has developed some strange urinary tract infections that have cleared up with various antibiotics, only to reoccur again in a few months. We are continuing to test and culture his urine and it's time for another cystocentesis to collect a sterile urine sample for another culture. Surprisingly quiet for such a big hound, he does emit a deep, low “roooo” whenever he needs something—potty, water, food, etc. Being from the Deep South, he dislikes the cold; snow is alien to him, and he revels in the warmth his blankets and jammies provide for his frail, aged body. But the sweetest, most satisfying sight of all is how much he loves leaning on us and being petted. He also loves the other big hounds. He knows that he’s been rescued and that he’s both safe and well-loved now. As a registered nonprofit animal rescue, we rely on donations to help pay for the medical bills of the animals in our care. Can you help this old man now? 3/20/26 Update Because of the generosity in the Waggle community, Grandpa's campaign was quickly funded and he was able to get the tests that he needed! Thankfully, he does not have a urinary tract infection at this time. We are all very relieved. Thank you for helping this sweet old man.

Duncan
Duncan is a 11 year old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $20 for Cystocentisis for Urine Tests.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Duncan was most likely dumped by his owners and found as a stray by a kill shelter in Southern Ohio. He was given no medical attention at the overcrowded shelter and came to us with a number of aliments including Lyme disease, hypothyroidism, liver issue, high blood protein, rotting teeth and a rare parasitic worm that infested his sinus cavities. Now, as a ages, Duncan's heart is enlarging and he has developed kidney disease. We need to perform a cystocentisis to get a sterile urine sample to check on the state of Duncan's kidneys. One of the kindest canines we’ve ever taken in, Duncan exudes sweetness in all he does. With all that he's been through, he doesn’t let anything get him down. He loves attention, loves to be held and loves to be petted. Duncan is also wonderful with the other dogs at the Sanctuary and has many canine friends. Duncan’s soulful eyes and his willingness to learn new things are what makes this boy special. His charming ways just pull people in and they can’t but smile when he’s around. As a registered nonprofit animal sanctuary, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to help pay for the medical expenses of the animals in their care. Can you help sweet Duncan get the tests he needs? 3/18/26 Update We are so grateful to Waggle and to the generous donors that made this campaign a success! Duncan's test results showed that his kidneys are functioning better and we are all so relieved. Thank you!!!

Boomer
Boomer is a 8 year old Whippet in Geneva, OH, who needs $60 for Treatment for Ear Infection.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
A beauty with brindle markings encasing his back like a pair of wings, Boomer is 38 pounds of easygoing congeniality. Adding to his physical charm is the touch of blue, twinkling like a star in the iris of one eye, hinting paws-ibly at a celestial background. Picture a Whippet with floppy ears and that’s Boomer! But those floppy ears are prone to ear infections and when all the traditional medications failed to work, it was time to advance to the long lasting ear ointment that must be administered at the vet hospital. Always eager to pose for photos, Boomer is a particularly faithful friend and companion to the larger hounds here at the Sanctuary. Although he’s usually quiet, he’s prone to excitability in new situations. For this reason, he fares best when he’s with another hound for rides in the car and at vet appointments. Knowing little about his past, his age or his health status, we welcomed Boomer to the Sanctuary since he needed to be with people who were highly experienced with sighthounds. As a registered non-profit animal sanctuary, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to help cover the costs of medical care. Can you help this sweet senior heal? 3/18/26 Update We are so grateful to Waggle and to the generous donors that made this campaign a success! Boomer received treatment for his ear infection and he's already feeling so much better! Thank you!!!

Truman
Truman is a 10 year old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,816 for Dental Extractions and Eye Pressure Testing.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
With no place else to go, plagued by high blood pressure and blind from Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue knew that Truman needed to be in special care asap. Now, as a senior dog, he's developed cataracts, and they need to test his eye pressure for glaucoma regularly. Removing the cataracts won't restore his vision, but if left untreated, it could lead to glaucoma. Truman inherited the genetics for tooth and gum issues, which are common in some greyhound bloodlines. No amount of brushing, scaling, liquid additives, or wipes would prevent gum disease and tooth loss. He's had to have many teeth extracted due to excessive gum recession in the past and now it's time to extract his remaining teeth before serious infections set in. Truman is truly a special guy, as sweet as can be, a true Velcro dog and wonderful companion. He's found his place on his caretaker's bed. He’s found his courage to explore, to love and to be loved. Every day brings smiles as Truman adjusts to his handicap and thrives. NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue provides sanctuary and medical care for special needs animals that are deemed unadoptable. They rely on donations to help pay their vet bills. Truman is one of those special needs hounds that needs your support. Will you be his hero? 4/23/26 Update We needed to rush Truman to the hospital yesterday because he suddenly could not open is right eye. A month ago, he developed posterior lens luxation in that eye and we've been monitoring him closely for signs of changes in eye pressure. Yesterday, he was diagnosed with Uveitis, low pressure and inflammation. He's started two medications to help with this and will go for a full workup on May 7th. Please keep his in your thoughts. Donations for his new and upcoming vet bills are greatly needed! THANK YOU! 5/12/26 Update Thank you so much for all the support for Truman. He is adapting well for life without teeth and never misses a meal! Sadly, he's had some serious complication with his eyes. Please look for his new campaign to continue to help him. Thank you, again!

Penny
Will You Help Penny Get X-Rays and an Ultrasound?
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Penny’s past was filled with unimaginable horror. Her front elbow and leg were badly broken but never tended to. She now walks with a permanent limp. Thankfully, Penny managed to escape her tormentors by limping across a field toward safety. After being found by a good Samaritan, she was surrendered to a shelter and then transferred to NE Ohio Greyhound Sanctuary. Penny arrived 3 years ago with stage two kidney failure, a skin infection, heartworm, and Ehrlichia, which is a tickborne illness. She's been treated for the parasites and infections, and her kidney function improved. But now she started passing blood in her urine and needs x-rays and an ultrasound at Madison Vet Hospital to diagnose the problem and provide treatment. Despite the abuse she suffered, Penny is sweet and kind and forgiving. She gets along well with all the other hounds at the Sanctuary, has a hearty appetite, isn't picky about eating her allergy diet food, likes to chew on toy bones and has become quite attached to her caretakers. Penny's soulful eyes, however, still hint at her former abuse and there are times when she seems very sad. As a registered nonprofit animal sanctuary, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to pay for vet bills and medical care. They have been able to raise money for some of Penny's bills, but they need help to pay for x-rays and ultrasound. Will you please help Penny?

Nugget
Dumped & Abandoned: Please Help Sweet Nugget
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Little Nugget was dumped, literally, in the middle of the night at a local shelter. When her stray hold was up and no one came for her, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue took her into their sanctuary. Understandably, she's fearful of most humans, but she formed an immediate bond with her "mommy caretaker" and is happy to be held and carried around all day. Nugget came to them in heat, and she's started exhibiting some abnormalities with her estrus cycle and needs to be spayed soon to prevent any further complications. Madison Vet Hospital is treating Nugget. This little 16-pound "nugget" is finding her courage. She's quiet and sweet and gets so excited when her "mommy caretaker" walks into her room. She's yet to bark and likes to chew on nylabones. She's still learning about living in a house and going potty outside, but she'll get the hang of it eventually. As a registered nonprofit animal sanctuary and hospice, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to pay for vet bills and medical care. They have been able to raise money for Nugget's lab tests, but they need help to pay for her surgery. Will you please help little Nugget and this rescue continue to help as many animals as possible? Thank you!

Truman
This Senior Dog Needs Your Support
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
With no place else to go and blind from Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue knew that Truman needed to be in special care asap. Now, as a senior dog, he's developed cataracts, and they need to test his eye pressure for glaucoma regularly. Mabel
Mabel Will Melt Your Heart!
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
At NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue, a sweet Beagle named Mabel is suffering. Her soft, melting gaze barely masks her unspeakable pain. And yet, this ailing Beagle is 21 pounds of pure love! Sweeter than sweet and surprisingly well-mannered, she never barks and gets along easily with the other dogs at the rescue. She knows her name, absolutely adores snuggling and being held, has a lusty appetite, and takes her medications like a champ. Two years ago, Mabel was found as a stray and placed in an overcrowded shelter where she was at high risk for euthanasia given her advanced age and assorted maladies. She's been living at the Sanctuary ever since, was treated for heartworm disease, had surgery to repair a very large hernia, had rotting teeth removed, and she was spayed. However, Mabel's lymph nodes have suddenly enlarged, and they need to perform a needle aspiration to diagnose her illness. Will you please support the sweetest senior dog, who would give you a hug if she could. Thank you!

Harry
Sweet Senior Harry Needs Your Help
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Poor Harry found himself as a stray almost a year ago. He was placed in one shelter then transferred to another when no one wanted to adopt him. The second shelter treated him for heartworm and pulmonary hypertension, but Harry still couldn’t find anyone to adopt him. When NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue was asked to take him in, they thought they could find him a forever home, but when that didn’t pan out, they decided that he should spend his remaining years at their sanctuary, surrounded by loving humans and friendly hounds. Harry is a sweet senior boy, approximately 10 years old, and sometimes a little goofy but that's what makes him unique. He can be a little unsure of himself at times and finds himself getting into trouble from time to time. He's quickly learning the routine at the sanctuary, and he’s smart and understands many words and phrases. As a hound, he loves to sniff the ground and watch the wildlife, but he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He will need to take a series of chest x-rays and Doppler blood pressure readings to check on the condition of his heart and lungs. Will you please donate to be a part of Harry's healing journey and ensure his last years are his best years? Thank you!

Lucy
Will You Help This 21-year-old Mini Donkey Lucy?
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue has expanded its rescue to take in equestrian animals, and they recently took in the sweetest 21-year-old mini donkey named Lucy. They don't know much about her past, but it's apparent that she wasn’t cared for properly over the years. Her hooves were in ghastly shape from being trimmed improperly, making it hard for her to walk without pain. Her coat was dull and dry, and she looked much older than her 21 years. Thankfully, they've been able to remedy her hoof situation over the last year and provide her with pain relief. This past winter, Lucy was showing signs that her gut was not able to absorb the nutrients that she needed. Their vet put Lucy on a trial of medications and, thankfully, they are starting to help Lucy feel and look better. The rescue will continue these medications long term to ensure best results for her. As is typical of prey animals, she’s fearful around noises, and while she’s tolerant of the other equines, she presently prefers to keep them at a distance and have her own space at the barn, allowing her to see the other donkeys, yet giving her the privacy she craves. Lucy loves humans, massages, and getting brushed. She has the cutest bray and exults in “talking” to her caretakers. As a registered, nonprofit animal sanctuary that provides lifetime care for animals with chronic medical needs, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to pay for vet bills and medications. Can you be a part of this sweet, old donkey's healing journey? She has a lot of life left in her and deserves to live out the rest of her life in full health and surrounded by lots of love. Thank you!

Snowball & Boomer
Will You Be Snowball & Boomer's Hero?
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Born as part of a litter to a mother who had been abused and dumped in the mountains, Snowball is safe in NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue's care. She seems happily oblivious to the fact that she’s deaf. As she grew, they realized that she was 6-8 months behind in meeting her developmental milestones, along with having chronic urinary tract and kidney issues her entire life that are now managed with medications. Now approaching her senior years, Snowball has developed a chronic allergy in her left ear that has not been responsive to the normal medications. This will require further tests and treatments to subdue the allergy and provide relief from the itching and irritation. Sprouting her full fuzzy Podenco coat and mane, typical of the Podenco Campanero breed, Snowball has learned to navigate her soundless world and understands hand signs from her caretakers. She's extremely affectionate at the Sanctuary but very shy in public. She loves to sleep next to her caretaker and soak up all the love that surrounds her. Boomer is a senior whippet mix who suddenly developed a growth on his face. They needed to do a needle aspiration to determine if the growth was malignant or benign. He is friends with all the other hounds and has been at the sanctuary for a few years now. NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies heavily on donations from generous animal lovers like you to help them pay for the vet bills of the animals in their care. Snowball had a rough start and Boomer is not doing well going into his senior years, but this rescue is doing everything they can to ensure a great life for both of them. Can you help them on their healing journey? Every donation makes a difference. Thank you.

Lilly Red
Lilly Red is a 14 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $880 for Ultrasound and Tests For Diagnosis and Treatment.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Lilly Red spent over 12 years of her life being picked on by the larger dogs in her backyard and has the scars to prove it. Her irresponsible owner never did anything to protect her, never let her into the house, and never gave her the care that she needed. When the shelter called and told us that Lilly needed a soft place to land, we opened our sanctuary to her. After almost 2 years of sanctuary life, Lilly Red suddenly started to urinate frequently and was perpetually thirsty. What started out looking like a possible bladder infection has turned into something more mysterious and serious. Lab tests haven't revealed the cause of her discomfort yet and Lilly needs imaging and specialized tests at Madison Vet Hospital to diagnose and treat her illness. Understandably, Lilly Red is fearful of larger dogs, but she loves humans and she loves to be petted and groomed. Her tail wags constantly when her human caretakers are close by. Her sweet eyes melt our hearts and we love her dearly. We are a registered, nonprofit animal rescue that specializes in providing lifetime care to senior and special needs animals. We rely on donations to pay for medical bills and need to raise funds to help with Lilly Red's medical needs. Can you help Lilly?

Truman
Truman is a 9 year old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $45 for Testing for Glaucoma.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
With no place else to go and blind from Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), we knew that Truman needed to be in special care asap. Truman also had sky high blood pressure and inherited the genetics for tooth and gum issues common in some greyhound bloodlines. Now controlled with medications, Truman lives with his caretakers and other hounds at the sanctuary and truly loves his life! Although blinded by progressive retinal atrophy in his youth, Truman has developed cataracts and we need to check his intra-ocular pressures to test for glaucoma every 6 months. If his pressures rise, he will need additional medications and may ultimately lose his eyes if glaucoma goes untreated. Regular testing at Madison Veterinary Hospital is a must. Truman is truly a special guy, as sweet as can be, a true Velcro dog and wonderful companion. He's found his place on his caretaker's bed. He’s found his courage to explore, to love and to be loved. Every day brings smiles as Truman adjusts to his handicap and thrives. Most days, his blindness is hardly noticeable and we sometimes forget that he cannot see. He is truly an inspiration to us all. As a nonprofit animal rescue, we provide sanctuary and medical care for special needs animals that are deemed unadoptable and we rely on donations to pay for their vet bills. Truman is one of those special needs hounds that needs your support. Can you help us help him? Share

Jilly
Jilly is a 13 year old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $408 for Laceration Repair.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Jilly came to us when she was just 3 years old and she made it apparent that she did not want to leave the sanctuary. She's a bit different that most greyhounds, but she's been thriving here for the last 10 years and we've learned how to attend to her needs. Jilly was startled from her sleep when a very loud truck accidentally dropped it's load near the sanctuary and she tried to run from her bed. Her old legs didn't work well and Jilly fell. The laceration in her thin, greyhound skin needed to be repaired and Jilly needed antibiotics and pain medications to help her heal. Madison Vet Hospital has provided her care for years. Jilly is extremely shy and nervous, known as a true spook in the greyhound world. While she's comfortable with her caretaker, she will not approach strangers and gets very upset with loud noises, thunder and a change in her routine. As she ages, her cognitive abilities have declined and she gets confused easily. We are a registered, nonprofit animal rescue that specializes in providing lifetime care to senior and special needs animals. We rely on donations to pay for medical bills and need to raise funds to help with Jilly's medical needs. Can you help Jilly?

Sydney
Sydney is a 12 year old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,188 for Dental Surgery and Extraction of Rotting Teeth.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Confiscated as part of an abuse/neglect case, Sydney found herself at a shelter where she was attacked by another dog. Thankfully, HERO Hound Rescue pulled her from the shelter and many compassionate volunteer drivers formed a transport, allowing her to travel comfortably to our sanctuary. She quickly settled as she started on her healing journey. Sydney suffered from malnutrition and an infestation of parasites. Her ears were heavily infected and she’s deaf. Her right eye has epithelial corneal dystrophy, both eyes have cataracts, and she’s going blind. Most troubling are her rotting teeth and she requires dental surgery to relieve the pain and quell the oral infection. Madison Vet Hospital is treating Sydney for all her medial issues. Surprisingly sweet and gentle in spite of all that she’s suffered, Sydney gives new meaning to the word “LOVE.” This tenderhearted survivor not only loves following us around, she also loves being held and cuddled. Determined not to let her abusive past affect her future Sydney is a role model for her caretakers as she spreads her warmth to everyone she meets. As a registered nonprofit animal rescue, we provide sanctuary and lifetime medical care for special needs animals and we rely on donations to pay for their vet bills. Sydney is one of those special needs hounds that needs your support. Can you help us help her?

Manny
Manny is a 12 year old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $932 for X-Rays and Surgery.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Manny was adopted by wonderful adopters many years ago, but returned to us due to a death in the family. We welcomed Manny with open arms and he reunited with many greyhound friends here at the sanctuary. Manny is 12.5 years old and has been increasingly unsteady on his feet. He took a tumble and needs x-rays to help diagnose his condition and surgery to repair a wound. Madison Vet Hospital has been treating Manny since his arrival at the sanctuary. After many tests, Stormy was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease, a heart condition, proteinuria and severe dental disease. Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
If ever a dog deserved joy, it’s DJ. This sweet and sociable 8-year-old found himself at a shelter and in need of extensive medical care. When we learned of his needs, we stepped up and took him into our sanctuary program. While his list of ailments is both heartbreaking and long, DJ has a good chance of recovering and will live out his senior years surrounded by loving caretakers. DJ came to us with heartworm. and a large intestinal and external parasite load which lead to malnutrition, infections and the death of most of the hair follicles on his back. Now treated and free of all parasites and infections and at his proper weight, DJ needs dental and neuter surgery as the next step in his healing journey. Madison Vet Hospital is providing ongoing care for DJ. Clearly a beauty, large and black, like a black bear, with the most mesmerizing eyes, DJ has warmed up to his caretakers and the other canines here, knowing that he’s safe and he's turned into a wiggly, friendly soul. Grandpa
Grandpa is a 11 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $844 for Extraction of Rotting Teeth and Fistula Repair.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Grandpa was found as a stray hanging around a schoolyard, but he was most likely dumped by his former owner. When the shelter learned that he was positive for heartworms, had a chronic eye condition, rotting teeth, and a host of other problems, they contacted us. He found a ride all the way to our sanctuary and he's been receiving medical treatment and loads of love since his arrival. After finally testing negative 8 months after his last adulticide injection for heartworm, gaining weight and improving his overall condition, Grandpa is now strong enough for surgery to extract his rotting teeth, repair an oral-nasal fistula and to be neutered. Madison Vet Hospital has been instrumental in providing medical care for Grandpa and will preform the surgery. Despite the fact that he's significantly larger than most Coonhounds, Grandpa loves leaning on us and being petted as much as he loves hanging out with his hound friends. He emits a deep, low “roooo” whenever he needs something. He revels in the warmth his blankets provide his frail, aged body. He's in good spirits now and you'd never guess that his body is filled with buckshot. As a registered, nonprofit animal rescue, we specialize in providing lifetime care to senior and medical needs animals and we rely on donations to raise funds to pay for vet bills. Grandpa's path to better health is paramount. Can you be a part of his journey?

Diamond
Diamond is a 14 year old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $192 for Ultrasound to Diagnose Abdominal Enlargement.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Subsisting for years outdoors in a dilapidated chicken coop, a rope around her neck, Diamond suffered needlessly. How she survived without access to food and water is a mystery. Neighbors called AC repeatedly to report the ghastly situation, but when officers arrived, the owner came outside with his rifle. Occasionally, one of those neighbors threw a jar of peanut butter over the property line. Diamond has a grade 4 heart murmur with an enlarged heart that is responding to medication. At her recent trip to Madison Vet Hospital, a suspicious enlargement near her liver and spleen was found and an ultrasound is needed to determine if this enlargement is due to her heart issues, or a mass or tumor that may be malignant. Safe now at the Sanctuary, Diamond luxuriates in the comfort of the first bed she's ever had and enjoys peaceful sleep. She is quiet and sweet and so well-behaved that it's hard to imagine what her past was like. Understandably. he can be a bit of a drama queen when it's time for ear cleanings and nail clippings, but some tasty treats will settle her down. As a registered nonprofit rescue, we rely on donations to pay for vet bill for the special needs animals in our care. We have already raised some funds for Diamond's lab tests but need to raise funds for her ultrasound. Can you help us help Diamond?

Willie
Willie is a 14 year old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $402 for Dental Surgery to Extract Bad Teeth.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
A Good Samaritan wanted to adopt Willie when he first arrived at a shelter. After careful consideration, the Good Samaritan felt that Willie would not be able to get around well in her house and yard and the shelter contacted us to see if we could take him into our Sanctuary, knowing that we have special accommodations for impaired hounds. We jumped at the chance to welcome this boy. A weathered and wise, bow-legged cowboy, Willie is an old man with severe, disfiguring arthritis with bumps and lumps and irritated skin. Willie loves his chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and back massages. His heart is enlarged due to his old age, and his teeth are not in the best of shape and he needs a dental to extract the bad ones now. Madison Vet Hospital oversees Willie's care. Willie may be old and disfigured, but his body doesn’t get him down and he’s sweet, funny and such a joy to care for. He has made several hound friends that also travel with him for traditional and holistic veterinary care. He loves people and loves to eat! Willie has touched many hearts and continues to exude his enthusiasm for life to all his meets. As a nonprofit animal rescue, we provide sanctuary and medical care for special needs animals that have ongoing medical needs and we rely on donations to pay for their vet bills. Willie is one of those special needs hounds that needs your support. Can you help us help him?

Truman
Truman is a 8 year old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $950 for Dental Surgery and Testing for Glaucoma.
He now lives with his caretakers and other hounds at the sanctuary and truly loves his life! Truman is cursed with bad gums and no amount of brushing, scaling, liquid additives or wipes will prevent tooth loss. He's at the point where he needs to have several teeth extracted due to excessive gum recession. Although blinded by PRA in his youth, he's now developed cataracts and we need to test his eye pressure for glaucoma regularly. Madison Veterinary Hospital is treating Truman.

Mabel
Mabel is a 12 year old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,154 for Hernia Repair, Dental Extractions and Spay Surgery.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Mabel was a stray and placed in an overcrowded shelter where she was at high risk for euthanasia given her advanced age, heartworm status, and large, distended belly. Nothing is known about her past, but it’s evident that she never received the care that she needed. That is changing and she is now free of all parasites and respiratory infections and ready for the next step in her healing journey. Lacey
Lacey is a 10 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $568 for Abdominal X-Rays and Ultrasound.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Coming from a rough and neglectful past where she was most likely used as a breeding dog and then dumped by her owner and ran as a stray, Lacey is surprisingly sweet and kind and, above all, forgiving, even through the numerous tests, procedures and surgeries that she endured when she first arrived. A year after being nursed back to health, Lacey started feeling ill again. She started losing too much protein through her kidneys and her appetite waned. We now need to run x-rays and ultrasound to check for masses and other abnormalities that may explain why Lacey isn't responding to the medications as we had hoped that she would. Madison Vet Hospital is providing for all of her medical needs Thriving on her caretakers’ love and affection, she loves snuggling in blankets, being bathed and massaged, and is easy to groom. Friendly and well-behaved at the vet, where she’s a special favorite, she is as smart as she is sweet, and is always in tune with what’s going on around her. She loves to play with her caretakers and several of the hounds. And, she loves to sing her "houndie" songs. We provide lifetime care for animals with medical needs and rely solely on donations to pay for their vet bills. We have raised funds for Lacey’s recent lab tests but need help with getting donations for her imaging diagnostics. Please help this deserving hound. Thanks!!

DJ
DJ is a 7-year-old Mix in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,464 for Treatment for Heartworm, Intestinal Parasites, Skin and Ear Infections.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
If ever a dog deserved joy, it’s DJ. This sweet and sociable 7-year-old found himself at a shelter and in need of extensive medical care. When we learned of his needs, we stepped up and took him into our sanctuary program. While his list of ailments is both heartbreaking and long, DJ has a good chance of recovering and will live out his senior years surrounded by loving caretakers. Clearly a beauty at one time, large and black, like a black bear, with the most mesmerizing eyes, DJ has already warmed up to his caretakers, knowing that he’s safe in their capable hands. Moving slowly and sedately at times, sniffing about curiously and breathing in the fresh air of a new life, he’s begun making friends with the other dogs and looks forward to keeping them fur-ever. DJ came to us suffering from horrible, painful infections in both ears that made touching his head impossible and required sedation to be medicated. Now cured, he's turned into a wiggly friendly soul. He has an eye condition that requires daily care but he's good about standing for his treatments. He also likes having his pills wrapped in pill pockets and then rolled in powdered kibble topper. Having tested positive for heartworms, DJ is also afflicted by a heavy intestinal parasite load that has led, inevitably, to malnutrition. He had such a heavy flea infestation that it caused severe skin infections and fleabite dermatitis and hair loss across most of his back that will take months to re-grow. DJ is currently receiving extendeed treatments for heartworm and the other parasites. As a nonprofit rescue, we take in animals with medical needs and provide them with the highest quality, lifetime care possible. We rely on donations to pay for vet care. While we have raised some funds for DJ's lab tests, we need funds for the rest of his treatments.

Grandpa
Grandpa is a 10-year-old Coonhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,714 for Treatment for Heartworm, Pain and Dermatitis.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Grandpa was found as a stray hanging around a schoolyard, but he was most likely dumped by his former owner. When the shelter learned that he was positive for heartworms, had a chronic eye condition, and a host of other problems, they contacted us. He found a ride all the way to our sanctuary and he's been receiving medical treatment since his arrival. Grandpa looks far older than his years because of his shockingly emaciated frame. Not only is he woefully thin, he’s lived for so long in chronic pain it’s a testament to his resilience that he’s even still alive. But the sweetest, most satisfying sight of all is how much Grandpa loves leaning on us and being petted. He knows that he’s been rescued and that he’s both safe and well-loved now. Surprisingly quiet for such a big hound, Grandpa does emit a deep, low “roooo” whenever he needs something – potty, water, food, etc. Being from the Deep South, he dislikes the cold, snow is alien to him, and he revels in the warmth his blankets and jammies provide his frail, aged body. He's in good spirits now and you'd never guess that his body is filled with buckshot. The first priority is to treat Grandpa's heartworm disease, to help with the pain from his hip dysplasia, and to give him relief from his itchy skin and chronic dry eyes. Grandpa has been started on many medications and is undergoing the long process of clearing his body of heartworms. Dr. Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital is treating Grandpa. As a registered, nonprofit animal rescue, we specialize in providing lifetime care to senior and medical needs animals and we rely on donations to raise funds to pay for vet bills. Grandpa's path to better health is just beginning. Can you be a part of his journey?

Aurora
Aurora is a 9-year-old Mix in Geneva, OH, who needs $200 for Diagnostics and Treatment for Severe Vomiting.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Sweet, lovable Aurora was surrendered to a shelter when her owner was evicted from her home. When the shelter noticed that Aurora wasn't feeling well, they contacted us and we transferred her quickly into our sanctuary program. Aurora adores her caretakers and is friendly with the other dogs here. Even when she's not feeling well, she wants to be close to her humans and sleeps on their feet. She's been so good with all the poking and prodding that she's gotten at the vet hospital and takes her medications like a champ. Most endearing is Aurora's broad smile and loving eyes. When she looks at you, she melts your heart. Her warmth radiates to your soul and you can't help but feel her love and tenderness. Aurora was vomiting quite a bit when she arrived and needs x-rays and continued medications to diagnose and treat her symptoms and improve her appetite. Dr. Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital, is treating her. As a registered, nonprofit animal rescue and sanctuary, we rely on donations to pay for the medical care of the animals in our program. We've raised money for Aurora's lab testing, but we need to ask for donations for her x-rays and medications. Please help Aurora.

Petey
Petey is a 12-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $600 for Complete Dental and Extractions of Rotting Teeth.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Petey was a stray and when no one came for him, he was in grave danger of being euthanized at a small, overcrowded, underfunded shelter, trying to do its best with limited space and resources. Petey is now safe and has a permanent place to live out his remaining years, surrounded by love, thanks to a wonderful group of people that rescued him and drove him to The Sanctuary. Petey, despite his pain, has a zest for life, loves humans and canines alike, and has quickly settled into his new life after an initial bout of anxiety. With so many changes, this old man has shown how resilient he can be, once he knows he's safe. He's been a very good patient through all the heartworm treatments and takes his medications like a champ. Petey's tail never stops waging, even when he's being examined by the vet! Even though his spine, knees, hips and his left rear leg are splayed outward, causing him to walk with a limp and a swagger, he's able to run around in the treatment room at the vet hospital and visit with all the other vets and techs, getting as many treats as he can! He's affectionately called Pistol Petey. Petey has finally recovered from heartworm disease after many months of treatments, but his rotting teeth now must be extracted and he must be neutered. Dr. Tom Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital has been treating him. As a registered animal rescue specializing in the long-term care of animals with medical needs, we rely on donations to pay for vet care. We've already raised funds for Petey's heartworm treatments. Can you help this sweet, old man whose been a victim of neglect for years?

Penny
Penny is a 7-year-old Hound in Geneva, OH, who needs $382 for Spay Surgery and Complete Dental.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Penny’s past was filled with unimaginable horror. Her front elbow and leg were badly broken, but never tended to. She now has a permanent limp and degenerative arthritis. Thankfully, Penny managed to escape her tormentors by limping across a field toward safety. After being found and testing positive for heartworm, she was transferred to our Sanctuary. Despite the abuse she suffered, Penny is sweet and kind and forgiving. She gets along well with all the other hounds at the Sanctuary, loves to sunbathe when the weather permits, likes to chew on toy bones and has become quite attached to her caretakers. Penny's soulful eyes, however, still hint at her former abuse at times and we know that she's a deep, complicated soul. If ever there was a hound that had all the cards stacked against her, it's Penny. She never gets a fair shake medically and everything that can happen seems to happen to Penny. Her heartworms were resistant to drugs and Penny spent the year going through 2 complete rounds of treatments and injections. She's allergic to every animal protein and needs to eat a very specially formulated food. Penny also suffers from false pregnancy symptoms and painful heat cycles and now that she's finally cleared for surgery, we need to spay her and give her a complete dental. Because she also has stage 1 kidney disease, keeping her teeth clean is very important. Dr. Tom Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital has been treating Penny since her arrival over a year ago. While we've raised the funds for her prior heartworm treatments and other medical needs, we need to ask for help with Penny's spay surgery and dental. As a registered non-profit rescue, we rely on donations to pay for vet care. Please give Penny the future she deserves!

Mabel
Mabel is a 12-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,200 for Treatment for Heartworm, Parasites and Infections.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Mabel was found as a stray and placed in an overcrowded shelter where she was at high risk for euthanasia given her advanced age, heartworm positive status and large, distended belly. Not much is known about her past, but it’s evident that she never received the care that she needed. Sweeter than sweet and surprisingly well mannered, Mabel never barks, and gets along easily with the other dogs here. Bright as a button, she already knows her name, absolutely adores snuggling and being held, has a lusty appetite, and takes her medications like a champ. Mabel’s soft, melting gaze barely masks her unspeakable pain. And yet, this ailing Beagle is 25 pounds of pure love! Mabel has heartworm disease, a tennis ball-sized inguinal hernia, allergies, upper respiratory infections, advanced dental disease, ear infections, intestinal parasites and anemia. Her liver is also showing signs of stress, most likely from her heavy parasite load. She's started treatments and her eyes are brighter and her energy level is improving. She's always ready for attention, now. As intimidating as these various conditions sound, the good news is that all of this is fixable! It will take many, many months, but Mabel has a good chance of living a long life if she continues to receive the care she needs. The most pressing issue now is clearing her of heartworm. She will be retested in 6-7 months and if the treatments worked, she'll be ready for her surgeries. We are a non-profit animal sanctuary that provides high quality, lifetime care for severely ill animals, like Mabel, that have no other options. Donations are crucial for saving the lives of these animals. Can you help this most deserving beagle? Please?

Stormy
Stormy is a 12-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $920 for urgent care.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Abandoned by her owner, Stormy was left to wander aimlessly. Finally, someone called the shelter, and Stormy was brought in as a stray. Based on Stormy's huge, distended abdomen, everyone thought she was pregnant. Stormy was claimed by another rescue, but after an X-ray revealed that she was not pregnant, the rescue abandoned her at the vet hospital. That’s when we sprang into action to save her. While we don't know the details of Stormy's past, we do see the telltale signs of abuse. Her tail is raw and often bleeds, which is common in dogs that are kept in very small cages. Stormy's coat is extremely dry and full of stains, particularly around her neck, indicating a collar that was fastened too tightly. She was absolutely covered in fleas and ticks, and she was an itchy, miserable mess. Despite all that Stormy has endured, she is the sweetest beagle who is determined not to let her serious health issues get her down. With a hearty appetite, Stormy lets us know when she's hungry and when she has to go outside. She's mellow and friendly with all the other dogs here and loves to snuggle with her caretakers, too. Stormy has the most endearing facial expressions and makes us smile. Stormy's liver and spleen are both extremely enlarged, and the right side of her heart is also displaying some abnormalities. In addition, Stormy is dealing with a heart murmur and her teeth are rotting away inside her mouth. She still needs to undergo additional radiographs, an ultrasound and lab tests to determine whether she is suffering from cancer, heart or liver disease, or Cushing's. We are a non-profit animal sanctuary that provides high quality, lifetime care for severely ill animals, like Stormy, that have no other options. Donations are crucial for saving the lives of these animals. Can you help this most deserving beagle? Please?

Norman
Norman is a 7-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $486 for Surgery for Removal of Mast Cell Tumors.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Hungry and with no one to care for him, poor Norman started wandering around a construction site, where the crews were tossing him food. Norman was finally rescued and the mast cell tumor on his neck was removed. Norman was then transferred to our Sanctuary so that we could provide the specialized, lifetime care he needs. A hound that loves everyone, Norman is as sweet and gentle as they come. He is a friend to all the hounds at The Sanctuary and is adored by his caretakers. Although he's dealing with cancer and came to us with a heavy intestinal parasite load that's been treated, Norman doesn't let this get him down. Norman loves to snuggle with his caretaker and take long naps on her bed, squeezing his little body as close to hers as he can get. And, if other hounds want to join in, he's even happier. No one would ever suspect that Norman has cancer and he's an inspiration to us all. We've started Norman on medications that will help his body cope with the histamine reactions caused by the mast cells. We are also using a combination of traditional and holistic medicines to give Norman every chance possible for a comfortable life. Sadly, Norman developed two more tumors that need to be removed. As a non-profit animal sanctuary and hospice, we rely on donations to provide the best medical care possible. We've already raised funds for many of Norman's lab tests, but we need help with his surgery bills. Can you help this sweet soul?

Taffy
Taffy is a 7-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $800 for Dental Surgery for Gum Disease.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Part of a threesome, affectionately known as The Triplets, Taffy came to The Sanctuary with her blind littermate, Truman and her special needs littermate, Tootie. Both needed medical care for their heart conditions that was not forthcoming in their previous situation. Sweet as the candy, Taffy is the most outgoing of The Triplets and is the strong one that holds the group together. Originally, not a special needs hound, we saw immediately how sister Tootie depended on Taffy for her support and comfort and we knew we could never separate them. Blind Truman also seeks Taffy out for comfort and for guidance in new situations. Taffy definitely has her own needs for human companionship. She’s a sweet, sticky hound that loves her human caretakers, shares their bed and comforts them when they are ill. She's also the alert hound, always watching over her friends and letting us know when someone is doing something that needs attention. Taffy now suffers from an auto-immune disease of her eyes, called Pannus. Thankfully, eye drops have been able to put her in remission and when it flares, we increase her medications. She also inherited a gum disease, despite regular dental care. This has become painful and Taffy needs to have 15-20 teeth extracted. Animals come to The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue when they have no place else to go and need medical care beyond what is available at a typical shelter. As a non-profit rescue, we depend on donations to pay for vet bills and are deeply grateful for all help available.

Sandy
Sandy is a 9-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $266 for Hospitalization for Infection in Rear Leg.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Sweet and softhearted Sandy soaks up love and attention like a “greyt” thirsty sponge. Warmly welcomed here when her owners could no longer care for her and left her alone for too many hours a day, she gives new meaning to the term “velcro dog”, following us wherever we go and watching intently while the food bowls and medications are prepared for her newfound, four-legged friends. When she first arrived at the Sanctuary, the excess weight on her fine-boned frame left her winded and out of shape. A proper diet and exercise has her back at her normal weight, although the arthritis in her elbow is becoming more pronounced with her advancing age. Laser therapy and supplements are helping, thankfully. Quiet and charming, Sandy enjoys playing with the other dogs, likes chewing on bones, and has finally found her place on our bed! Sandy’s not fond of thunderstorms and needs to snuggle with her human caretakers until the noise abates. It's hard not be captivated by Sandy's deep, soulful eyes and wide, smiling face. Sandy's rear paw suddenly became infected and within an hour, the infection moved up her leg, causing fever and swelling. We have rushed her to Madison Vet where she's now hospitalized and getting IV fluids and high-powered antibiotics along with pain medications to conquer the infection. Her paw is also being soaked and flushed to help drain the infection. As a registered nonprofit rescue, specializing in senior and medical needs animals, we rely on donations to pay for vet bills. Sandy was abandoned once, please don't abandon her in her time of need. Even a small donation will help save her life.

Lacey
Lacey is a 9-year-old Coonhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $918 for Tumor Removal Surgery and Dental Extractions.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Coming from a rough and neglectful past where she was most likely used as a breeding dog and then dumped by her owner and ran as a stray, Lacey is surprisingly sweet and kind and, above all, forgiving despite her numerous, painful rotting teeth, huge tumors and high blood pressure and high levels of protein in her urine. Lacey arrived woefully thin due to a huge intestinal parasite burden that was negatively impacting her liver and hemoglobin. And sadly, because of this, she needed to be separated from the other animals until she was clean. But that never stopped her from impishly playing hide and seek through the deck railing with her caretakers and several of the other dogs, where it’s all love and gentleness. Thriving on her caretakers’ love and affection, she loves snuggling in blankets, being bathed and massaged, and is easy to groom. Friendly and well-behaved at the vet, where she’s a special favorite, she’s sleeping better, and longer now, is as smart as she is sweet, and is always in tune with what’s going on around her. Lacey has four different tumors on her body, and the two that are the most concerning are on her chest. The pendulous one is about the size of a lemon and sways back and forth when she moves. The other is a subcutaneous tumor that is growing in size daily. Although benign, they need to be removed, along with her numerous rotting teeth. Lacey must also be spayed to help prevent mammary tumors. We provide lifetime care for animals with medical needs and rely solely on donations to pay for their vet bills. We have raised funds for Lacey’s recent lab tests and cytologies but need help with getting donations for her surgery. Please help this deserving hound. Thanks!!

Benjamin
Benjamin is a 10-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $65 for X-Rays to Assess Elbow Tumor.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Benjamin joined The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue when he was just three years old, and quickly became an excellent meet and greet dog who enjoyed doing therapy work with humans. No matter where he went, he had a kind and sensitive way that helped humans relax. He was always ready to show others just how amazing Greyhounds could be. Goofy at times, playful at other times, Benjamin often doesn't realize his large size. He's known for trying to squeeze himself into a beagle-sized dog bed. True to his greyhound breed, Benjamin sleeps a lot, too. He sings along when the hounds start "roo-ing" and is always interested in the "goings-on" at The Sanctuary. Benjamin developed many health issues, including a severe heart murmur, high blood pressure, and kidney disease. He stopped working events and was more comfortable staying in the house and keeping his caretakers' company. About a year after his initial illness, Benjamin developed a bulging disc in his neck that causes pain from time to time. Medications and diet have helped. Now Benjamin is fighting a new medical battle, and he needs your kindness. He’s developed an inoperable, benign tumor on his right elbow. It’s growing quickly and has been causing pain and lameness. We need to take an x-ray to see if the tumor is affecting his underlying bone. Dr. Tom Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital is treating Benjamin. We provide lifetime care for animals with medical needs and rely solely on donations to pay for their vet bills. We have raised funds for Benjamin’s recent lab tests but need help with getting donations for x-rays. Please help if you can. Thanks!!

Ozzy
Ozzy is a 12-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $690 for X-rays and Ultrasound Needed to Determine Options for Treating Lymphoma.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Poor Ozzy found himself as a stray and when no one came to claim him at the county shelter, he was transferred to a rescue. Sadly, when the rescue found swollen lymph nodes that possibly indicated cancer, they tried to find an adopter with cancer experience. When no adopter could be found, Ozzy was transferred into our sanctuary program. While we don't know much about Ozzy's past, we can see evidence of a very rough life. With a broken toe that was never set, missing pieces of his ear and scars all over his face, we can only imagine the horrors that he's lived through. Yet, Ozzy is as sweet and friendly and affectionate as any hound we've ever cared for. He loves all humans and canines! In addition to his swollen lymph nodes, Ozzy also tested positive for Lyme disease, has high blood pressure and extremely high proteinuria. He's taking medications for his blood pressure, for Lyme and he's eating a special diet (high protein, high fat and low carbohydrate diet with added omega 3). Ozzy adores food and eats with gusto! Ozzy underwent a needle aspiration of his lymph nodes and the cytology suggested lymphoma. We now need to stage this cancer to see what options are available for treatment and long-term care. Ozzy needs x-rays and an ultrasound to determine the extent of cancer in his body. As a registered nonprofit rescue that specializes in caring for medically needy animals that have no other options, we rely on donations to pay for vet bills. We have raised funds for Ozzy's initial lab tests but need to raise funds for his x-rays and ultrasound.

Penny
Penny is a 6-year-old Hound in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,082 for Second Round of Heartworm Injections and Allergy Shots.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Penny’s past was filled with unimaginable horror. Her front elbow and leg were badly broken, but never tended to. She now suffers every day with a painful permanent limp and degenerative arthritis. Thankfully, Penny managed to escape her tormenters by limping across a field toward safety. After being found by a Good Samaritan, she was surrendered to a shelter and then transferred to our Sanctuary. Penny serves as a role model for all who have endured abuse. Somehow, she escaped with multiple, painful health issues and survived! She seems to know that she's in a good place now, and even though some of her treatments may be hard on her, she realizes that not all humans are bad, and accepts help and tasty treats willingly. Despite completing the AHS heartworm treatment protocol, Penny continues to have heartworm and is still symptomatic. She needs to start a second round of heartworm injections. Penny also has serious and widespread food allergies and cannot eat any animal proteins. A special diet along with allergy shots are a must to keep her from scratching herself raw. While we've raised some funds already, we do need help now with the vet bills for Penny’s second round of heartworm treatments and for her skin condition. As a registered non-profit, we rely on donations to pay for vet care. Please give Penny the future she deserves!

Diamond
Diamond is a 9-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $444 for Surgery for Tumor Removal and Dental Extractions.
After a week had passed with no sight of Diamond’s owner outside, neighbors again called AC and the authorities found him dead inside his house. Diamond was finally free! Safe now at the Sanctuary, she luxuriates in the comfort of her first bed in 13 years and enjoys peaceful sleep. Diamond is quiet and sweet and so well-behaved that it's hard to imagine what her past was like. She may be deaf, but 13-year-old Diamond hears best with her heart. Not only is Diamond deaf, her vision is severely impaired, and she has a grade 4 heart murmur, but no significant heart enlargement at this time. She also has tumors on her vulva, belly and back. She can be a bit of a drama queen when it's time for ear cleanings and nail clippings, but some tasty treats will settle her down. Diamond came to us urinating blood. After a course of antibiotics, the bloody urine stopped and thankfully, the tests for bladder cancer, so common in old beagles, have come back negative. The next step is to surgically remove the tumors and perform a complete dental to remove her rotting teeth. We might not be able to undo Diamond’s horrific past, but we intend to make her future shiny and bright. As a registered nonprofit rescue, we rely on donations to pay for vet bills. We have raised funds for her lab tests but need to raise funds for her surgery.

Petey
Petey is a 12-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,222 for Diagnostic X-rays and Treatment for Heartworm Disease.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Petey was a stray and when no one came for him, he was in grave danger of being euthanized at a small, overcrowded, underfunded shelter, trying to do its best with limited space and resources. Petey is now safe and has a permanent place to live out his remaining years, surrounded by love, thanks to a wonderful group of kind people that volunteered to drive him to The Sanctuary. Petey, despite his pain, has a zest for life, loves humans and canines alike, and has quickly settled into his new life after an initial bout of anxiety. With so many changes, this old man has shown how resilient he can be, once he knows he's safe. He's learned to be a house dog and will bark when he has to go outside or when he wants a treat! Petey's tail never stops waging, even when he's being examined by the vet! He has been diagnosed with heartworm disease, a heart murmur, rotting teeth and an ear infection. His spine, knees and hips are very painful, and his left rear leg is splayed outward, causing him to walk with a limp and a swagger. Lab results show that the heartworms are affecting not only his heart, but his kidneys, his liver and his urine values. Petey has started a 30-day course of doxycycline, treatment for his ear infection and supplements to strengthen his heart as well as pain medications. He will need x-rays and 3 heartworm injections. As a registered animal rescue specializing in the long-term care of animals with medical needs, we rely on donations to pay for vet care. We've already raised funds for Petey's lab tests. Can you help this sweet, old man whose been a victim of neglect for many years?

Tootie
Tootie is a 7-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $44 for Refill Needed of Anti-Nausea Medication.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Tootie is one of the "Triplets" here at The Sanctuary. Born with Blind Truman and Taffy, Tootie is the lightest brindle, the smallest and the most sensitive of the three. Once we learned that she was available and needed a soft spot to land, we immediately made the 11 hour round trip drive to pick her up. Like her brother, Blind Truman, she suffers from hypertension which, thankfully, is now being controlled with medications. Tootie has recently developed kidney disease and is on medications to slow it’s progression. Tootie is the most emotional one of the three siblings and she's very bonded to them. They are her security blankets and it's hard to get photos of Tootie alone. Toot-toot-Tootie, with her golden gaze, luminous eyes and beautiful brindle coat, may be a small hound, but her effect on us is large. Sweeter than sweet, extremely friendly, affectionate and funny, with a “ROOOOOO” that’s the envy of hounds everywhere, this girl is one happy honey who never stops wiggling and whose long tail never stops wagging when she’s feeling well and with her littermates. Tootie has a very sensitive digestive system and is prone to intermittent upsets, diarrhea and vomiting, despite being on a limited ingredient diet. Tests don't reveal anything serious, thankfully but we need to keep anti-nausea medications on hand for when her digestion goes haywire and it's time to order a refill. She's being treated by Dr. Zulandt, owner of Madison Veterinary Hospital. As a nonprofit animal rescue, we provide sanctuary and medical care for special needs animals that are deemed unadoptable and we rely on donations to pay for their vet bills. Tootie's other medical bills have been paid, but we need help raising funds for this prescription.

Radar
Radar is a 6-year-old Pit Bull mix in Geneva, OH, who needs $268 for urgent care.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
What happened to Radar before The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue saved him is a mystery. He was found as a stray -- emaciated and unsteady on his feet -- it was clear he was injured. Had he run from his assailant or been hit by a car? He suffered in silence and unspeakable pain until animal control officers picked him up and brought him to a shelter. Potential adopters overlooked him because of his black coat, injuries, and breed, part Pit Bull. "Despite everything he has endured, Radar is sweet, loving, and trusting," Duane J., with the rescue group, tells Waggle. The nonprofit group rushed Radar to their veterinarian, who discovered Radar weighs 15 pounds less than he should, has inflammatory bowel disease, intermittent bloody diarrhea, and heartworm. Radar has an eye deformity that may need surgery, and his hind end is weak due to severe muscle wasting in his hips and back legs. This dear dog needs X-rays to see what's causing his hip and leg issues and to check his heart before treating his heartworm. "We specialize in the long-term care of animals with medical needs; we rely on donations to pay for vet care," Duane says. "Please don't overlook Radar as others have before!" Please give to help Radar hone in on getting help!

Mikey
Mikey is a 11-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $275 for urgent tests.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
If Mikey could talk, what a tragic tale this sweet survivor would tell. Both the victim of abuse and a target for men bent on killing him, the beagle found himself at a shelter, covered with fleas and ticks and suffering from an infected prostate/bladder tumor. Once he was stable enough to travel, he was transferred to The Sanctuary where he was assured of receiving the care and love he never had. Incontinent now because of the tumors, this perfect gentleman, so sweet, so quiet and so innocent, is trying his best to “be good.” While he may walk slowly due to his arthritis, this resilient, four-legged bundle of love has made his way swiftly into our hearts and the hearts of the other dogs, is currently pain-free, happy, eating heartily and extremely comfortable here. Like most Beagles, Mikey loves to eat and will follow his caretakers when they are carrying treats in their pockets. His sweet face, frosted with age, displays so many emotions and, thankfully, happiness, contentment and silliness are most frequently displayed. He loves to stick his tongue out, showing pure joy over living each day in peace now, safe from his tormentors. Started immediately on a treatment for his tick-borne disease, Mikey also underwent a series of x-rays to learn more about the size and location of the tumors, and genetic testing to determine if he carries the gene for bladder cancer. Sadly, he does and now we need an abdominal ultrasound to more fully diagnose his condition. Dr, Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital is treating Mikey. As a registered non-profit animal sanctuary, we rely on donations to pay for the medical bills of the animals in our care. We have already raised funds for Mikey's medications and tests, but we need funds for the ultrasound. Please show Mikey that his life matters.

Truman
Truman is a 7-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $442 for urgent dental surgery.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
With no place else to go and showing signs of going blind, Truman needed someone with a big heart to take him in. Luckily Duane J. from NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue and Sanctuary swooped in to save him. "Truman is always the first to greet his caretakers at the door, and he's the first to meet the incoming hounds," Duane tells Waggle. "He's become a helper hound and supervises his caretaker as she prepares food bowls for his friends." Everyone at the sanctuary loved Truman so much that when his siblings needed help, they took them in too. "Two of his sisters have special needs, and the three are known as 'The Triplets,'" Duane says. Truman is battling many health issues, including advanced progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), which will rob him of his sight, high blood pressure, and terrible teeth. "Truman is cursed with bad gums, and no amount of brushing, scaling, liquid additives, or wipes will prevent tooth loss," Duane says. "He's at the point where he needs to have several teeth extracted due to excessive gum recession." Now the Greyhound rescue is racing to raise the money for Truman's surgery. "As a nonprofit animal rescue, we provide sanctuary and medical care for special needs animals deemed unadoptable, and we rely on donations to pay for their vet bills," Duane says. "Truman is one of those special needs hounds that needs your support. Can you help us help him?"

Sally
Sally is a 3-year-old Staffy/Pit Mix in Geneva, OH, who needs $300 for Dental X-Rays Needed to Assess Deformities in Jawbones and Teeth.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Bred by the worst of the backyard breeders to be a bait dog, Sally was tortured and then dumped in a cemetery. Then people living nearby repeatedly tried to shoot her! Sally was so terrified it took animal control officers days to coax her from behind the headstones where she was hiding. When The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue heard about Sally, they immediately offered to save her. "Although still terrified of most people, Sally immediately bonded with her female caretaker, finding sympathy and softness she had never known while discovering her courage and ability to love," Duane J., with the rescue, tells Waggle. Their veterinarian found scabs covering her skin from mange. She was nearly bald. Sally's jaw and teeth are malformed to the point where she cannot keep her tongue inside her mouth. Sally now needs a complete set of dental X-rays, a thorough exam, and a cleaning to determine the health of her jawbones and teeth. Dogs like Sally can sustain broken jaws easily. "As a nonprofit rescue, we specialize in caring for special needs dogs like Sally and rely on donations to pay for veterinary bills," Duane says. "Please help us help her!"

Paddington
Paddington is a 5-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $422 for Hernia Repair Surgery, Dental Surgery and Treatment for Lyme Disease.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Paddington was found as a stray at a county shelter. No one claimed him and he was transferred to The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue. We are not sure if Paddington is a full blooded greyhound, but we know that he is not a retired racer. It's likely that he may be a product of a back yard breeder that produces greyhound mixes for field trials, a popular but dangerous sport. Sweet Paddington is learning to live in a house. He's curious and friendly and gets excited when he sees the other hounds. He loves affection and is patient and quiet when being groomed. He likes to run but he also likes to nap in comfort. He doesn't really know what toys are but he watches the other hounds play. Paddington is doing well with his potty training, but needs to go frequently. One of Paddington's most enduring qualities is his smile. Like all greyhounds, he opens his mouth wide with soft, gentle eyes. He's a gentle giant, a sweet soul but he also is beginning to show us his goofy side. He's learning his name and learning to come when called. He's learning to walk quietly on a leash and he's learning that life can be very comfortable and safe.. When Paddington arrived, he had an injured paw and several cuts and scrapes when he arrived and a very large hernia that needed to be repaired as well as a dental. His presurgical lab tests showed that he had active Lyme disease, with many of the symptoms, including kidney disease and a urinary tract infection. NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue is a nonprofit that takes in special needs hounds that need medical attention. Most of these hounds are overlooked by potential adopters and don't have many options. We rely on donations from kind people to pay for vet bills and medication.

MacKenzie
MacKenzie is an 8-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $480 for urgent diagnostic tests.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
When MacKenzie first arrived at the NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue sanctuary, her nights were filled with gut-wrenching screams until she realized that her caretakers were her protectors. Now she is happy and knows she's safe and loved. MacKenzie's past is a mystery. She has deep physical scars and needs urgent medical help. She suddenly developed a bloated belly, severely swollen hind legs, and her blood pressure went through the roof. "Her initial test results show that she's losing a good deal of protein through her kidneys or intestines and that her liver is not functioning properly, although there is no sign of infection," Duane J. with the rescue tells Waggle. MacKenzie now needs an ultrasound, fluid testing, and blood work to determine what's causing her condition. "We have provided a haven to ease her emotional pain; now we need to do everything we can to help her get through this crisis," Duane says. "Underneath her anxiety lies a sweet, kind hound that gets along wonderfully with all of the other Sanctuary hounds, large and small. She's most often found sleeping on her caretake 's bed." The nonprofit sanctuary provides lifelong care for old and sick animals and relies on donations to pay for medical care. Can you help MacKenzie get the diagnostic tests she needs?

Otis
Otis is a 12-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $118 for Specially Compounded Medication for Resistant Ear Infection.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Otis' story will break your heart! He wandered around a neighborhood as a stray his entire life. One day he fell down a hill and collapsed. A kind person called animal control for help. The officers were so sad about Otis -- who never had a home or medical care -- that they called NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue. The nonprofit group immediately got Otis the medical care he deserved. The poor senior beagle's front legs are deformed, and he can't stand straight, so his body is permanently tilted toward the left. His body is worn and broken. His heart is enlarged. Otis was anemic from a heavy flea infestation and has old wounds that never healed properly. He also has an ear infection resistant to many treatments because his ear canal is misshaped. He needs a specially developed, compounded medication. "It's a miracle that Otis is alive," Duane J., from the rescue group, tells Waggle. "He loves to be held and carried, and he sinks into our arms and looks up at us with the most adoring eyes." Though the group can't fix Otis' past, they promise to give him all the care and love he deserves in the future. "Otis is the sweetest, best behaved little bundle of love we've ever had the honor of caring for," Duane says. "Otis loves to eat, is happy, and always wags his tail. He can't move very fast, but he does waddle around, exploring and bringing smiles to all. If ever a little dog deserved love, care, and medications to make him comfortable in his golden years, Otis does." The sanctuary provides lifetime care for old and sick animals and relies on the generosity of others to keep its doors open. Please give and show Otis what being loved is like!

Horton
Horton is a 12-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $60 for X-Rays to Check for Bladder Obstructions.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
We received a message that Horton was in dire need of rescue as his owner was leaving the country in 2 days and Horton would be euthanized if a rescue could not be found. We immediately made arrangements to take him into The Sanctuary and to give him all the care he needs for the rest of his life. He's settling in here and making many friends with the other hounds and human caretakers. Horton is a quiet, sensitive soul who spends most of his days resting. He's grossly obese and has a heart murmur and significant arthritis in his hips, so he moves slowly. The cataracts have left him completely bind at night, but he takes it all in stride and doesn't seem to be bothered by his afflictions. He's a sweet old man that just wants to be loved. When it's time to go potty, Horton lets us know with a loud, raspy beagle bark. He sniffs around outside and does his business like a pro. He's gentle and kind with the other hounds and has taken a liking to Penny Hound. He will follow her around like a puppy dog. Horton is not found of being groomed, but he tolerates it when we brush out his thick coat and trim his nails. In addition to his cataracts and arthritis, Horton is having some difficulty urinating and seems to be uncomfortable when his abdomen is touched. Tests show no sign of infection. His prostate is of normal size and his kidneys are functioning. Dr. Zulandt, from Madison Vet Hospital, needs x-ray images to check for obstructions, stones and tumors. As a registered non-profit animal sanctuary, we rely on donations to pay for the medical bills of the animals in our care. We have already raised funds for Horton's medications and tests, but we need funds for the x-rays. Please show Horton that his life matters.

Penny
Penny is a five-year-old Hound in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,080 for critical care.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
When you look into Penny's soulful eyes, it's hard to imagine that her past was filled with horror. "Her front elbow and leg were badly broken but never tended to," Duane J., with NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue, tells Waggle. "Thankfully, Penny managed to escape her tormenters by limping across a field toward safety. After being found by a good Samaritan, she was surrendered to a shelter and transferred to our sanctuary." The rescue rushed Penny to Madison Veterinary Hospital, where she needs urgent care for stage two kidney failure, a skin infection, heartworm, and Ehrlichia, a tickborne illness. Penny suffers each day with a painful permanent limp and degenerative arthritis. Once the nonprofit group addresses Penny's pressing medical needs, they will focus on helping her leg. The rescue is very optimistic about Penny. "Despite the abuse she suffered, Penny is sweet and kind and forgiving," Duane adds. "She gets along well with all the other hounds at the sanctuary and has a hearty appetite. She has become quite attached to her caretakers. Penny's soulful eyes, however, still hint at her former abuse, and there are times when she seems very sad." And Penny is a role model for all who have endured abuse. Somehow, she escaped with multiple painful health issues and survived. She seems to know that she's in a good place now. "Penny will need lifetime care, and we need help with her veterinary bills," Duane says. "As a registered nonprofit, we rely on donations to pay for our dogs' care. Please give Penny the future she deserves!"

Benjamin
Benjamin is a nine-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $408 for eye surgery.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
Benjamin joined The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue when he was just three years old, and he became one of their ambassador dogs. "We knew that there was something special about Benjamin," Duane J. from the nonprofit group tells Waggle. "He enjoyed working at meet and greets and as a therapy dog. No matter where he went, he had a kind and sensitive way that helped humans relax. He was always ready to show others just how amazing Greyhounds could be." But then Benjamin developed many health issues, including a severe heart murmur, high blood pressure, and kidney disease. He stopped working events and was more comfortable staying in the house and keeping his caretakers' company. About a year after his initial illness, Benjamin developed s a bulging disc in his neck that causes pain from time to time. Medications and diet have kept these conditions in check. Now Benjamin is fighting a new medical battle, and he needs your kindness. "Benjamin is a huge boy who doesn't always realize his size. He is also easily frightened by noises and movements. Recently, he injured his right eye after he became scared of something outside while he was on a potty break. Eye stain tests show that Benjamin has a very large scratch on his cornea," Duane says. Benjamin received vet care for his eye injury for several weeks from Dr. Zulandt at Madison Veterinary Hospital. After a good start at healing with ointments and eye drops applied several times a day, the scar tissue on Benjamin's eye stalled the process and needs to be removed. Now the rescue group needs help raising money to pay for his care. "NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue provides lifetime care for animals with medical needs," Duane says. "We rely solely on donations to pay for their vet bills. Benjamin has helped so many humans before he became ill. Please help him heal. Thank You!"

Otis
Otis is a 12-year-old in Geneva, OH, who needs $170 for Cytology, Culture and Treatment of Massive, Resistant Ear Infection.
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
According to animal control, Otis had been wandering around the neighborhood all of his life. When he fell down a hill and collapsed, a kind soul called for help. Never having had a loving home or proper medical care, Otis somehow managed to survive into his senior years...barely. Animal control didn't want Otis to die in a shelter and contacted our Sanctuary for help. Otis is the sweetest little 11 pound bundle of love we've ever had the honor of caring for. Otis loves to eat, is happy, and wags his tail all the time. He can't move very fast, but he does waddle around, exploring his small turf. If ever a little dog deserved love, and care, and good food and medications to make him comfortable in his golden years, Otis does. Because Otis' front legs are deformed and much shorter than his hind legs, it's impossible for him to stand straight and his body is permanently tilted toward the left. He loves to be held and carried and he sinks into our arms and looks up at us with the most adoring eyes. He spends much of his time sleeping on his side, as it helps him breathe and he looks like a little rolly polly doll. His body is worn and broken and his heart is very large. Otis never received dental care or an adequate diet, was anemic from a heavy flea infestation, and has old wounds that never healed properly. It's a miracle that Otis is alive. He has a resistant ear infection that was cultured and a special compounded medication developed. Dr. Tom Zulandt, of Madison Vet Hospital is caring for him. While we can't fix Otis' heart, we can clear up his massive ear infection. The Sanctuary is a registered non-profit and provides lifetime care for old and very sick animals and relies on donations to pay for medical bills. Otis never had care, it's time to care for Otis.
