Help Purps Learn That She Is Safe Again

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Purps spent her entire life with the same family after being adopted as a kitten. She should have known nothing but love and security. Instead, in her senior years, the people she trusted turned their backs on her. Purps was put outside by her grandparents, but her grandchildren kept bringing her back inside—because they knew she belonged there. When the family decided they wanted her gone, things became even more heartbreaking. Purps was hit and kicked by the very people who were supposed to protect her. Thankfully, Pumpkin's Rescue Club stepped in and gave Purps the chance she desperately needed. Now, this sweet senior girl is settling into a foster home where she can finally begin to feel safe. She is learning that not every hand will hurt her and that she doesn't have to be afraid anymore. After everything she has endured, Purps deserves the opportunity to simply be a cat again. On Monday, Purps will visit the veterinarian for a comprehensive exam, senior bloodwork, and a SNAP test. She will also receive a microchip so she can have permanent identification and protection moving forward. We don't yet know everything Purps has been through or what her medical needs may be, but we know she deserves to enter this next chapter with the care she should have received all along. Will you help Purps take her first steps toward healing? 💜 Your donation will help Pumpkin's Rescue Club provide Purps with the veterinary care she needs as she begins rebuilding her trust in people. Every gift, no matter the size, helps show this deserving senior cat that her life matters—and that she is finally safe.

Help Pumpkin’s Rescue Club Stock Life-Saving Tests

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Every new cat that comes into Pumpkin’s Rescue Club deserves a safe place to land—and that starts with knowing what they may be carrying. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club regularly takes in cats from the streets and other situations where their medical histories are unknown. Before these cats can safely join the rescue’s population, they need to be tested for serious and potentially contagious diseases, including panleukopenia and FeLV/FIV. Right now, panleukopenia is rampant in our area, making rapid testing more important than ever. Cats showing symptoms need to be tested immediately so that any positive cats can be identified and isolated before the illness has a chance to spread to other vulnerable cats. We’re raising funds to purchase: 🐾 30 panleukopenia tests 🐾 30 FIV/FeLV tests These tests are an essential part of the rescue’s intake and veterinary process. Having them readily available means the rescue doesn’t have to wait when a sick or newly rescued cat needs answers. Quick testing can help the rescue make important decisions about isolation, treatment, and protecting the other cats in its care. For a small rescue caring for cats who often arrive frightened, sick, and in need of immediate help, having these supplies on hand can make a tremendous difference. Will you help Pumpkin’s Rescue Club stock its medical supply cabinet with these 60 critical tests? Every donation helps the rescue be prepared for the next cat who needs a safe place to land—and helps protect the cats already counting on them.

Help Timmy Fight for His Life

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Timmy was found abandoned at an industrial site, alone, vulnerable, and in heartbreaking condition. When rescuers from Pumpkin’s Rescue Club found him, it was clear that this sweet cat desperately needed medical attention. He was rushed straight to an emergency veterinary hospital, where he has remained hospitalized as the veterinary team works around the clock to save his life. Timmy’s condition is extremely serious, and right now, there are still more questions than answers. His veterinarians are concerned that he could be suffering from diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), sepsis, pancreatitis, or potentially a combination of these devastating conditions. His glucose levels have improved with treatment, but Timmy remains incredibly weak. His organs are enlarged, and he is currently so debilitated that he cannot even bear weight on his legs. For now, his veterinary team is continuing to treat him for DKA while they work to determine exactly what is happening inside his fragile body. Every hour matters as they monitor his condition, provide supportive care, and try to get his systems stabilized. It is impossible to know what Timmy endured before he was found at that industrial site. What we do know is that he was abandoned when he was already desperately sick—and now he needs someone to fight for him. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is doing everything possible to give Timmy that chance, but his emergency hospitalization, testing, medications, and ongoing intensive care are quickly adding up. Please help us keep fighting for Timmy. Your donation will help cover the lifesaving medical care he needs right now and give his veterinary team the resources to continue treating him while they search for answers. Timmy has already survived being abandoned in the worst condition imaginable. He deserves the chance to recover, feel safe, and finally know what it means to be loved. Please donate today and help give Timmy the fighting chance he so desperately needs. ❤️

Star Survived the Streets and Lost a Leg—Now She Needs Your Help Again

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Before Star came to Pumpkin's Rescue Club, she was suffering alone on the streets. This sweet senior cat was spotted dragging a completely non-functioning leg behind her. A concerned community member shared her story on Facebook, explaining that Star had been struggling this way for at least a week. No one knew exactly what had happened, but it was clear she was in pain and desperately needed help. Pumpkin's Rescue Club stepped in and rushed Star to the veterinarian. After a thorough examination, veterinarians determined that Star had suffered a severe injury that never healed properly. The damage to her leg was extensive, causing significant pain and discomfort. The kindest option was to amputate the leg and finally give Star relief. While under veterinary care, Star also received a much-needed dental procedure, diagnostic bloodwork, and treatment for a painful urinary tract infection. Despite everything she had endured, Star's spirit never wavered. She recovered beautifully from surgery and quickly adapted to life on three legs, proving just how resilient and special she is. But just when it seemed Star was finally getting her happy ending, a new challenge emerged. Star has suddenly stopped eating and has begun vomiting. Because of her age and recent medical history, these symptoms are especially concerning. She is being returned to the veterinarian for additional diagnostics to determine what is causing her illness and to get her feeling better as quickly as possible. After surviving life on the streets, enduring the loss of a leg, and fighting through multiple medical issues, Star deserves every chance at a comfortable and healthy future. Your donation will help cover the cost of her diagnostic testing, veterinary care, and any treatment she may need to recover. Every gift, no matter the size, helps Pumpkin's Rescue Club continue saying "yes" to cats like Star when they have nowhere else to turn. Please donate today and help Star continue her journey from survival to a life filled with comfort, love, and hope. 6/18/26 Update We wanted to share an update on our resilient senior girl, Star. The good news is that Star's bloodwork came back mostly normal, which was a huge relief. She has been receiving fluids and supportive care, and we're happy to report that she has started eating again. While this is encouraging progress, we still don't have all the answers. To investigate the cause of her symptoms, we recently ran an fPLI test to evaluate Star for pancreatitis, and we are currently awaiting those results. During her examination, veterinarians also discovered that Star has an enlarged heart, which may require additional monitoring and follow-up care. As always, Star continues to amaze us with her strength and resilience. After surviving on the streets, enduring a painful leg amputation, recovering from a dental procedure, and overcoming a urinary tract infection, she continues to face each new challenge with courage. We're hopeful that we are moving in the right direction, but Star's journey isn't over yet. Additional diagnostics, follow-up appointments, and ongoing medical care are still needed to ensure she stays comfortable and receives the treatment she deserves. If you are able, please consider making a donation to help cover Star's ongoing veterinary expenses. Every contribution helps us continue fighting for this incredible senior girl and gives her the chance to enjoy the comfortable, loving life she has always deserved. Thank you for standing with Star. We will continue to share updates as we learn more.

Help Eggnog Get the Answers He Desperately Needs

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Meet Eggnog, a young kitten whose rescue story began with heartbreak and uncertainty. Eggnog was originally discovered being sold on Facebook Marketplace, falsely advertised as a healthy, unfixed female kitten. Fearing he could end up neglected, abandoned, or in dangerous hands, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club stepped in immediately and paid $80 to get him to safety before it was too late. But once Eggnog was finally safe, rescuers quickly realized the truth was far more serious. Not only was Eggnog actually a male kitten, but he was also suffering from multiple untreated medical issues, including a severe ear infection, an eye infection, worms, fleas, and significant neglect. Despite being sold as “healthy,” this fragile kitten was in urgent need of veterinary care. As treatment began, rescuers noticed something else concerning — Eggnog was showing neurological symptoms that could not be ignored. Bloodwork thankfully ruled out several infectious diseases, but his symptoms continued. Veterinarians initially suspected cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a non-progressive neurological condition kittens can live happily with. But now, Eggnog’s symptoms appear to be getting worse. Because CH typically does not progress over time, veterinarians are increasingly concerned that Eggnog may instead be suffering from a progressive neurological disease or possible brain damage from a prior medical event. To finally get answers, Eggnog now urgently needs an advanced CT scan and continued neurological evaluation to determine what is happening inside his tiny body, what his prognosis may be, and what kind of long-term care he will need. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club remains fully committed to Eggnog no matter what the results may show. But advanced diagnostics and specialty neurological care are extremely expensive, and the rescue cannot continue this journey alone. Despite everything he has endured, Eggnog remains a sweet and deserving kitten who finally knows what safety, care, and love feel like. He deserves the chance to be comfortable, understood, and given every possible opportunity for a good quality of life. Please consider making a donation to help cover Eggnog’s CT scan, specialist appointments, diagnostics, and ongoing medical care. Every dollar brings this special little boy closer to answers and helps ensure he will never be abandoned or overlooked again. If you cannot donate, sharing Eggnog’s story can help him reach more compassionate supporters. Thank you for standing with Eggnog and supporting rescue, even when the road ahead is uncertain 7/15/26 Update It is with profound sadness that we share that sweet Eggnog has passed away. From the moment he was rescued from being sold online under false pretenses, we knew this little kitten faced an uphill battle. What was supposed to be a healthy kitten turned out to be a baby suffering from multiple infections, parasites, neglect, and devastating neurological issues. Despite every effort to find answers and provide him with the best possible care, Eggnog's condition continued to worsen. While his time with us was far too short, it was filled with something he had likely never known before—love, comfort, and the security of being truly cared for. He never again had to wonder where his next meal would come from or whether anyone would fight for him. Pumpkin's Rescue Club made sure that every decision was made with his comfort and wellbeing at the heart of it. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared his story, and cheered him on throughout his journey. Your generosity helped provide veterinary care, diagnostics, medications, and compassionate support, ensuring Eggnog received every opportunity to be helped and every ounce of love we could give. Although we are heartbroken that his story did not have the ending we had hoped for, we take comfort in knowing that Eggnog left this world surrounded by people who loved him deeply. He was treasured, valued, and never gave up on. Thank you for helping us give Eggnog the dignity, compassion, and care that every animal deserves. Run free, sweet Eggnog. You were loved beyond measure, and your little life will never be forgotten.

Bubas

Help Bubas Heal From Mange, Pain, and Eye Disease

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Meet Bubas, a resilient street cat whose tough exterior has hidden months of pain and suffering. Back in November, Bubas was trapped as part of a TNR (trap-neuter-return) effort and received medical care for severe skin issues. At the time, veterinarians treated him with a Convenia injection, cleaned his wounds, and gave him Revolution to help with painful mange that had left his skin inflamed and damaged. A few months later, we noticed his skin still looked terrible and his eyes had become increasingly red, irritated, and painful. Concerned for his wellbeing, we retrapped him so he could finally receive the ongoing medical care he desperately needed. Since starting treatment for eyelid dermatitis and mange, Bubas has slowly begun to reveal the sweet cat hiding beneath his fear and discomfort. While he is still understandably cautious and not quite comfortable with full handling and examinations, he has learned to trust enough to allow us administer his eye drops — a huge step for a cat who has likely spent much of his life surviving on the streets. Although his eyes have improved and are no longer as red or filled with discharge, they are still causing him pain and irritation. Veterinarians have determined that Bubas now urgently needs entropion surgery to correct the painful inward rolling of his eyelids, a condition that causes constant rubbing and discomfort. He is also scheduled for a dental procedure to address additional pain and underlying health issues. For a street cat who once had little reason to trust people, Bubas is finally learning what kindness and care feel like. Every day of treatment has helped him become softer, more affectionate, and more willing to let people help him heal. Now he needs our help to continue that journey. Please consider making a donation to help cover Bubas’ entropion surgery, dental care, medications, and ongoing treatment. Every contribution gives this sweet boy a chance at a pain-free life where he no longer has to suffer in silence. If you cannot donate, sharing Bubas’ story can help him reach more compassionate supporters and give him the second chance he deserves. Thank you for helping Bubas heal and for showing this deserving boy that love and safety are possible. 7/28/26 Update When Bubas first came into our care, he was a wary street cat whose body told the story of a hard life. Painful mange, inflamed skin, and severely irritated eyes had left him uncomfortable for months, and it was clear he had been suffering far longer than anyone realized. Thanks to your incredible support, Bubas received the specialized veterinary care he desperately needed. After being evaluated and treated by an eye specialist, Bubas made a wonderful recovery. His painful eye condition has resolved, the constant irritation is gone, and he is finally able to live without the discomfort that once defined his daily life. With his medical needs addressed and his health restored, Bubas has been given the opportunity every street cat deserves—a future filled with safety, comfort, and compassion. Even more wonderful, Bubas has found his forever home at a small sanctuary where he can spend the rest of his life protected, well cared for, and surrounded by people who understand his unique needs. After surviving on the streets for so long, he no longer has to worry about where his next meal will come from or endure life in pain. Instead, he gets to enjoy soft places to rest, regular meals, and the security of knowing he is finally safe. None of this would have been possible without the kindness of everyone who donated, shared his story, and believed that this deserving cat was worth saving. Because of you, Bubas' story didn't end with suffering—it ended with healing, hope, and a peaceful place to call home. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving Bubas the second chance he so deeply deserved.

Help Pumpkin’s Rescue Club Reach the Cats No One Else Can

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Some of the cats we are called to help are easy to see— the tiny kittens crying under porches, the friendly abandoned house cats left behind to fend for themselves, the injured strays limping through parking lots. But so many others stay just out of reach. Terrified feral mothers continue having litter after litter in unsafe colonies. Sick cats disappear into bushes before treatment can be given. Injured community cats suffer silently because there is no way to safely get them into care. And for rescuers, one heartbreaking truth remains: we cannot help the cats we cannot catch. At Pumpkin’s Rescue Club, humane trapping is where every rescue story begins. Before there can be full bellies, soft beds, antibiotics, surgeries, vaccines, foster homes, or adoptions… there has to be a safe way to bring these vulnerable cats out of danger and into loving hands. Right now, we urgently need to purchase: \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\- 3 humane cat traps - 1 transfer cage for safe movement and transport These are not just pieces of equipment. They are lifelines. A trap is what allows us to rescue the starving kitten who won’t come close enough to touch. A trap is what allows us to catch the pregnant mom before she gives birth to yet another litter outdoors. A trap is what allows us to bring in the cat suffering from wounds, infection, or respiratory illness before it’s too late. And a transfer cage allows frightened feral cats to be moved safely from trap to vehicle, to veterinary clinic, to surgery, and then into recovery—without causing further trauma or risking injury. Without enough trapping equipment, devastating choices have to be made: which urgent call gets answered first, which colony has to wait, which cat remains outside another night because every trap is already in use. Those delays can mean more kittens born into suffering. More injuries left untreated. More cats simply disappearing before help arrives. This is the invisible side of rescue that few people see: sometimes the difference between life and death is something as simple as having an open trap available when the phone rings. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is working tirelessly to reduce suffering through TNVR, rescue abandoned and injured cats, and expand our ability to say “yes” when help is needed. But we cannot do that empty-handed. These supplies will not help just one cat. They will help every cat who comes after: every frightened feral mom, every injured stray, every sick colony cat, every kitten born outside with no one else looking for them. Please help us put more lifesaving tools in the field so more cats can finally be brought to safety. Your donation today becomes the beginning of rescue for countless cats still waiting in the shadows.

Little Guy and Big Guy: Bonded Brothers in Need

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Pumpkin’s Rescue Club recently welcomed two incredibly sweet senior boys after their world was turned upside down. Their beloved parent was placed into a nursing home, and unfortunately, the family was unable to take them. Suddenly, these bonded companions lost the only home they had ever known. Little Guy (7) and Big Guy (8) are completely obsessed with each other. They sleep together, groom each other, and look for one another constantly. Their bond is undeniable, and after losing so much, keeping them together is incredibly important. They are gentle, affectionate, and truly the sweetest cats — the kind that just want a soft place to rest and someone to love. The good news is they’ve already had full veterinary workups, including exams and bloodwork. They are otherwise doing well — but both boys desperately need dental procedures. Dental disease is extremely common in cats their age and can cause significant pain, infection, and difficulty eating if left untreated. To make sure these two best friends are comfortable and healthy, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is working to raise funds for: • Dental cleanings and extractions if needed • Anesthesia and monitoring • Pain medication and antibiotics • Post-procedure recovery care Dental care is often one of the most expensive — yet most important — medical needs for senior cats. Treating their teeth will relieve pain, prevent infection, and help them feel their best as they wait for a forever home together. These boys have already lost their home — we don’t want them to lose their health too. Your donation helps ensure they can stay comfortable, happy, and ready for the next chapter of their lives — side by side, where they belong. Please consider donating to help Pumpkin’s Rescue Club cover their dental care. Even a small contribution makes a difference for these two loving seniors who just want to stay together and be loved again. 6/9/26 Update We are so happy to share that Little Guy and Big Guy have completed their dental procedures and are now recovering comfortably! Thanks to your incredible generosity, both boys were able to receive the dental care they urgently needed. Dental disease can be extremely painful, especially for senior cats, and treating it has made a tremendous difference in their comfort and quality of life. Their procedures went well, and they are healing beautifully. Through every step of this journey, these two best friends have remained inseparable. Whether they're curled up together for a nap, grooming one another, or simply keeping each other company, their bond continues to be one of the sweetest things we've ever seen. After losing the only home they had ever known, being able to stay together has meant everything. Because of your support, Little Guy and Big Guy no longer have to live with the pain and discomfort caused by dental disease. They can now focus on what they do best—being loving companions and enjoying the safety and comfort of their foster home while they wait for their next chapter. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared their story, and cheered them on. Your kindness gave these deserving senior boys the chance to feel better, heal, and move forward with healthier, happier lives. From all of us at Pumpkin's Rescue Club—and especially from Little Guy and Big Guy—thank you for making this possible.

Friendly Buddy Was Left to Suffer — Help Him Heal

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Meet Buddy, a sweet seven-year-old boy who still believes in kindness, even after being left behind. The team at Pumpkin's Rescue Club believes Buddy may have been abandoned because of how friendly he is. When they found him, he was severely malnourished and suffering from mange — but despite everything, he greeted his rescuers with trust instead of fear. He was so ready to be helped that they were able to simply pick him up and place him in a carrier. No struggle, no resistance — just relief. At the veterinary clinic, Buddy calmly accepted a medical bath without a fight. Even after all he’s endured, he remains incredibly sociable, gentle, and just a little shy. He’s truly a sweetheart who clearly wants nothing more than love and comfort. Now that Buddy is safe, he needs a thorough medical evaluation to ensure he can move forward into a healthy future. As a senior-leaning cat, he requires blood work to check his overall health, treatment for his skin, and a full exam to determine whether he needs dental care. These important steps will help him recover fully and prepare him for the loving life he deserves. Buddy has already shown so much resilience. After being abandoned, malnourished, and battling painful skin issues, he’s still trusting, still affectionate, and still hopeful. 💛 Your donation will help cover Buddy’s senior blood work and medical care 🐾 Your support will help treat his mange and improve his comfort 🏡 Your generosity brings him closer to a safe, loving future Buddy didn’t give up on people — and now we can show him he was right not to. Every dollar helps this gentle old soul continue his journey from abandonment to healing. 4/23/26 Update We have some really wonderful news to share about Buddy! He recently had his full lab work completed, and we’re so relieved to report that everything came back looking good. Even better—Buddy does not need a dental procedure, which is such a huge win for this sweet boy and helps keep his recovery a little easier on him. Buddy is still being treated for his mange, but the improvement has been incredible. His skin is healing, he’s becoming more comfortable each day, and you can truly see the difference in how he feels. The discomfort he once lived with is slowly being replaced with relief. And through it all, Buddy continues to be exactly who he’s always been—gentle, trusting, and full of quiet love. Your support is what made this progress possible. Because of you, Buddy is getting the care he needs and the chance to fully heal. We’re not at the finish line just yet, but he is well on his way—and we couldn’t be more grateful to have you alongside him on this journey. 5/4/26 Update Buddy is settling into his foster home and slowly beginning this new chapter of his life. While he is still a bit cautious and not yet a fan of being picked up, we can already see such an incredible difference in him. He looks healthier, stronger, and so much more comfortable than the fragile boy we first rescued. His body is healing, but now we are focusing on something just as important — helping Buddy feel fully safe around people again. After everything he has been through, it’s understandable that he needs time. We are giving him the patience, love, and gentle reassurance he deserves so he can continue building confidence and learning that he will never be abandoned again. Each day brings a little more progress, and once Buddy is more comfortable and secure, we will begin the search for the forever home this sweet boy has always deserved. Buddy’s medical care, foster support, and continued treatment are only possible because of compassionate donors like you. Please consider making a donation today to help us continue giving Buddy the time, care, and healing he needs to fully thrive. Thank you for being part of Buddy’s second chance. 7/15/26 Update It is with heavy hearts that we share that Buddy has sadly passed away. After everything he had endured before coming into our care, Buddy finally experienced something every animal deserves—kindness, safety, and love. In his foster home, he began to heal, growing stronger each day and slowly learning to trust again. While he was still timid and preferred to keep all four paws on the ground, we watched him become healthier, more comfortable, and more at peace than when he first arrived. We had hoped Buddy's story would end with a forever family of his own. Instead, we are grateful that his final chapter was one filled with compassion rather than fear. He knew gentle hands, a warm bed, regular meals, and people who cared deeply about his wellbeing. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Buddy was never alone. He was cherished every step of the way, and because of your generosity, he received the medical care, foster support, and love he deserved during his time with us. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared his story, and kept Buddy in your thoughts. Your kindness gave him comfort, dignity, and the chance to know he mattered. Run free, sweet Buddy. Tiny Gremlin Is Fighting Multiple Illnesses—Help This Sweet Kitten Survive

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

At just 2 months old, a tiny kitten now named Gremlin has already faced more hardship than most animals experience in a lifetime. When he was first found, Gremlin was extremely thin, weak, and struggling to use one of his legs. It was clear he had been suffering for quite some time and urgently needed medical attention. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club rushed him to the veterinarian, where the first of many serious issues was discovered: a severe abscess that required immediate drainage and treatment. The infection was serious enough that Gremlin had to remain under close medical supervision while receiving fluids, antibiotics, and pain management. Despite everything his tiny body had endured, Gremlin showed nothing but love. He purred through treatments and melted into his caregivers’ arms as if he knew he was finally safe. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning of his medical battle. After extensive testing and diagnostics, veterinarians discovered that Gremlin is also fighting cryptosporidium and giardia, two intestinal parasites that can cause severe gastrointestinal illness—especially dangerous for such a small, fragile kitten. Even more concerning, there is also suspicion of FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a serious and complex disease that requires further monitoring and care. Because of these complications, Gremlin has required multiple veterinary visits, diagnostics, medications, and ongoing supportive care, and his veterinary bills have now surpassed $2,000—and continue to grow as we work to give him the treatment he needs. Through it all, Gremlin remains the sweetest, most loving little kitten. He is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly trusting during every vet visit and treatment. Despite his difficult start, he continues to fight with a tiny body but a huge heart. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is doing everything possible to give Gremlin the chance he deserves—but we cannot do it alone. Every dollar helps this brave little kitten continue his journey toward healing. Gremlin has already survived so much in his short life. With your help, we can make sure his story doesn’t end in suffering—but instead becomes one of recovery, love, and the bright future every kitten deserves. Thank you for helping Pumpkin’s Rescue Club give Gremlin his chance 3/21/26 Update We’re happy to share a hopeful update about little Gremlin! After everything this tiny fighter has been through, Gremlin is doing well and showing encouraging progress. He has officially finished his treatment for both giardia and cryptosporidium, which is a huge milestone in his recovery. Over the past weeks, Gremlin has handled medications, vet visits, and supportive care like a champion. Despite his difficult start in life, his sweet personality continues to shine, and he’s been gaining strength each day. The next step is an important one — Gremlin will be retested to make sure he is fully clear of both parasites. We’re hopeful that his results will confirm that the treatment was successful and that he’s moving closer to a clean bill of health. While this progress is wonderful news, Gremlin’s care has included multiple diagnostics, medications, and ongoing monitoring, and we’re still working to cover the costs of his medical treatment. If you’re able, please consider making a donation to help support Gremlin’s continued care and follow-up testing. Every contribution helps ensure this brave little kitten gets the healthy future he deserves. Thank you for standing with Gremlin and helping him turn a heartbreaking start into a story of healing and hope. 3/30/26 Update We’re so happy to share another positive update about little Gremlin! After everything this tiny fighter has been through, he is still doing great and continues to make wonderful progress. Gremlin has remained bright, playful, and full of affection. His strength and resilience have truly shined throughout his recovery, and it’s incredible to see how far he has come from the fragile kitten who first arrived in need of urgent care. He’s eating well, gaining confidence, and soaking up all the love from his caregivers. At this point, Gremlin is doing so well that we’re simply waiting for one final cosmetic detail — his missing fur to grow back. Once his coat fills in, he will officially be ready for adoption and able to start the happy new chapter he has fought so hard for. This is a huge milestone for a kitten who once faced multiple infections, serious illness, and uncertainty. Now, he’s on the brink of finding a forever home where he can live the carefree kittenhood he deserves. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Gremlin along the way. Your donations helped cover his diagnostics, medications, and ongoing care that made this recovery possible. As we prepare him for adoption, continued support helps us ensure he remains healthy and ready for his perfect match. Thank you for being part of Gremlin’s journey and helping turn his heartbreaking start into a story of resilience, healing, and hope. 4/23/26 Update From a fragile, suffering kitten fighting multiple infections… to a playful, thriving little survivor—Gremlin’s transformation has been nothing short of incredible. We’re so happy to share that Gremlin is in the final stretch of his recovery. He is finishing up his FIP treatment and completing his second round of deworming, marking the last steps in a long and challenging medical journey. Today, Gremlin is bright, active, and full of life. The tiny kitten who once struggled just to get through each day is now playing, growing, and showing off his sweet, affectionate personality every chance he gets. His strength and resilience have carried him through every obstacle—and now, he’s finally almost ready for the life he deserves. If all continues as expected, Gremlin will be ready for adoption in about a week. This moment once felt so far away. Because of your support, Gremlin received the diagnostics, medications, and ongoing care he needed to survive and heal. You gave him a chance when his future was uncertain—and now, that future is bright. Very soon, Gremlin will be heading into a forever home where he can leave all of this behind and simply be a kitten—safe, loved, and carefree. Thank you for standing with him every step of the way. Gremlin’s story is proof of what compassion can do.

Mr. Big Man Is Wasting Away — And He Needs Help Now

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Over the past month, Mr. Big Man has lost nearly half of his body weight. This once-strong street cat is now painfully thin, and the reason is heartbreaking: a severe, painful abscess in his mouth has left him unable to eat. For weeks, Mr. Big Man has been silently starving—not because food wasn’t available, but because eating was simply too painful. Mr. Big Man began visiting a small colony of cats cared for by a dedicated feeder. When that colony had to be urgently relocated after it was discovered that someone was poisoning the cats, Mr. Big Man stayed behind. He rarely wandered and spent much of his time near a nearby food truck where kind people looked out for him. Even after the colony moved, his caretaker continued stopping by to leave food and check on him. But when she checked in recently, her heart sank—Mr. Big Man hadn’t eaten in nearly two weeks. That’s when it became clear that something was seriously wrong. On January 19, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club stepped in to save his life. Mr. Big Man was brought in for urgent veterinary care, where he was sedated for a full examination. He received diagnostic blood work, infectious disease testing, and immediate treatment to relieve his pain. Veterinarians confirmed he has significant oral disease and will need a dental procedure to address the source of his suffering. On top of that, he’s also battling an upper respiratory infection and is now on antibiotics. Because Mr. Big Man has no safe place to recover, he is currently being boarded while we search for a foster or determine the best long-term plan for him. Life on the streets is brutally hard—especially for cats like Mr. Big Man who quietly suffer until they simply can’t anymore. Without intervention, his condition would have continued to worsen. With proper care, he has a real chance to regain weight, live pain-free, and finally experience comfort and stability. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is asking for help to cover diagnostic testing and sedation, pain management and medications, antibiotics and follow-up care, a much-needed dental procedure, and boarding costs while a safe placement is secured. Your donation today helps give Mr. Big Man relief from pain and a chance at a healthier future. Every dollar raised goes directly toward the care he needs right now. He survived the streets. Now he needs us to help him heal. 3/7/26 Update We’re happy to share a wonderful update on Mr. Big Man’s journey. Thanks to your support, Mr. Big Man was able to receive the veterinary care he desperately needed, including diagnostics, treatment for infection, and care to address the painful dental disease that had left him unable to eat. Your generosity helped relieve his suffering and gave him the chance to begin healing after weeks of silent starvation on the streets. But the good news doesn’t stop there. Mr. Big Man has now moved on to a specialized rescue that focuses on caring for and adopting out cats with FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). This incredible organization has the experience, resources, and network needed to ensure that FeLV-positive cats like Mr. Big Man can live safe, comfortable lives and find loving homes that understand their needs. Because of this partnership, Mr. Big Man is now in the best possible place for his future, surrounded by people who are dedicated to giving cats like him the care and opportunities they deserve. What started as a heartbreaking situation—a starving street cat in terrible pain—has turned into a story of compassion, teamwork, and second chances. This outcome would not have been possible without the kindness of every person who donated and shared Mr. Big Man’s story. Your support helped get him off the streets, out of pain, and into the hands of people who will continue to advocate for him. From all of us at Pumpkin’s Rescue Club, and from Mr. Big Man himself—thank you for helping change his life. 🐾

Fluid in Her Chest, Fight in Her Heart — Penny Needs Help Now

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

When Penny arrived at Pumpkin’s Rescue Club, she was already fighting an uphill battle. This tiny girl was found in heartbreaking condition—dangerously underweight at just 4.15 pounds, visibly frail, and struggling to keep food down. Her body was failing her, yet her spirit hadn’t gotten the message. Penny remained alert, bright, and full of fight—something both devastating and incredibly hopeful to witness. Penny has now been hospitalized for several days as veterinarians work tirelessly to stabilize her. An ultrasound revealed significant fluid buildup in both her chest and abdominal cavity, making it difficult for her to breathe comfortably. Some of this fluid had to be removed from her chest just to give her relief. Based on the type and location of this fluid buildup, along with Penny’s clinical signs, veterinarians are highly concerned about FIP, a devastating disease that can be fatal without treatment. At the same time, additional diagnostic testing is still needed to rule out other possible causes of the fluid and to fully confirm the underlying diagnosis. Regardless of the final outcome, Penny’s condition is serious and requires immediate, ongoing medical care. There are reasons to hope. Aside from anemia and a mild infection, Penny’s lab work is otherwise normal—an encouraging sign that her body is still strong and fighting. One of the biggest challenges right now is that she is barely eating and having difficulty keeping food down, which makes both stabilization and treatment especially difficult. Even so, Penny continues to show remarkable resilience. Personality-wise, she is a little warrior—sweet, engaged, and still curious about the world around her despite being so fragile. She hasn’t given up, and neither have we. The cost of this level of care adds up quickly, and Pumpkin’s Rescue Club cannot do it alone. We are reaching out for support so we can keep Penny at the vet, pursue the diagnostics she needs, manage her symptoms, and give her the fighting chance she so clearly wants. With timely care and continued treatment, we truly believe Penny can turn a corner and go on to live the healthy, happy life she deserves. 💛 Please consider donating today to help Penny keep fighting. If you’re unable to give, sharing her story can still make a life-saving difference. Together, we can give Penny hope—and the future she’s bravely holding on for.

Help Eggnog Get the Medical Care He Need

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Eggnog is a young kitten who narrowly escaped a dangerous situation. He was discovered being sold on Facebook Marketplace and misrepresented as a healthy, unfixed female. Concerned for his safety and unwilling to risk him ending up in the wrong hands, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club stepped in and paid $80 to remove him from the situation immediately. Once Eggnog was safely rescued, the truth became clear. He is a male kitten and was suffering from multiple untreated medical issues, including a severe ear infection, an eye infection, and heavy parasite infestations with worms and fleas. Despite being advertised as “healthy,” Eggnog was in urgent need of veterinary care. Eggnog has already been seen by Chewy and has begun treatment, but his care may become more complex. The rescue is also concerned that he may have cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), and a neurology appointment is scheduled for this Monday to better understand his condition and long-term needs. Eggnog’s care is ongoing, and the rescue cannot do this work alone. Despite the challenges of the holiday season, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club remains committed to stepping in for vulnerable animals like Eggnog—especially when no one else will. Please consider donating today. 1/28/26 Update Eggnog recently had blood work completed, and thankfully, all results came back negative. While this helps rule out several serious conditions, it also means his symptoms are not being caused by an infection or illness that can be treated quickly with medication. At this time, Eggnog’s veterinary team believes his neurological symptoms may be the result of brain damage or possibly a past mini-stroke. To better understand what’s going on and determine the best path forward, Eggnog is scheduled to see a neurologist on February 2 for a specialist’s evaluation and recommendations. This upcoming appointment will be an important step in understanding Eggnog’s long-term needs and what kind of care will give him the best possible quality of life. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club remains fully committed to Eggnog and ensuring he gets the answers and care he deserves. Ongoing donations are critical to help cover his diagnostics, specialist care, and continued treatment as his journey continues. Thank you for standing with Eggnog and supporting rescue when the road forward is uncertain but hopeful.

Lucky Deserves a Second Chance After Unthinkable Cruelty

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Lucky’s life on the streets of Miami was already difficult—but then tragedy struck. When a trapper found him for TNVR, they were horrified to see the skin on his forehead peeling away from what appears to be an acid burn. Whether this was accidental or deliberate, we may never know. What we do know is that Lucky has suffered far too much. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club immediately stepped in to give Lucky the chance he deserves. Right now, he is being held at the vet for intensive, around-the-clock care to clean the wound, manage his pain, and prevent infection. Once he’s stable enough, he will move to a foster home where he can continue his recovery in a calmer environment. At the moment, Lucky is fractious and scared. But it’s important to remember—he’s also in tremendous pain, confined, and undergoing treatment. With time, healing, and compassion, we believe he’ll show us who he truly is under the fear and trauma. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is a very small rescue, and Lucky’s medical bills are already adding up. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference in covering the cost of his vet care, medications, and recovery support. ** Update 10/11/25** Lucky continues to show incredible resilience as he heals from the acid burns on his head. Thanks to his dedicated foster family, he’s receiving his daily medications and wound care — no small task for a cat who’s still learning to trust people. His wound is healing beautifully and scabbing over just as the vet hoped. The vet says that as long as it continues to heal like this, Lucky won’t need to return for more check-ups, sparing him the stress of those trips back and forth. Every day, Lucky grows a little stronger and a little braver. His recovery is a testament to love, patience, and community support. Thank you to everyone who’s been cheering Lucky on — your kindness continues to make his healing possible. Update 10/21/25 We have such encouraging news to share—Lucky is healing beautifully! His once red and raw wounds have now scabbed over, and we’re even seeing little patches of fur starting to grow back. It’s amazing what time, care, and compassion can do. While Lucky is still understandably nervous around people, he’s tolerated all of his treatments like a true fighter, as if he knows we’re trying to help him. Each day he grows a little stronger, and we’re so proud of the progress he’s made. He only needs one final vet check to make sure everything is fully healed. He’s eating well, feeling safe, and seems a little happier every day. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, or sent kind words. Your support is giving Lucky a second chance at life.

Help Persi Heal: Maine Coon Needs Surgery for Painful Ear Infection and Eye Condition

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Meet Persi, a gorgeous Maine Coon cat with the sweetest soul. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club found him wandering the streets, sick, starving, and abandoned. We believe he was used for breeding, and when he became ill, he was simply dumped. Despite everything he’s endured, Persi greets everyone with gentle affection. He’s severely malnourished, suffering from a painful chronic ear infection that’s left him with a head tilt, and he has a grade 3 heart murmur that requires monitoring. Persi also still needs to be neutered once he’s strong enough. Persi deserves more than the neglect he’s known — he deserves a chance at comfort, care, and love. Your support will cover his vet visits, medications, diagnostic tests, and the treatments he needs to begin healing. Every gift helps Persi get closer to the healthy, happy life he’s never known. Please help us show him that he is not disposable, that he is cherished, and that his best days are still ahead. Update 9/27/25 Persi is looking so much better and is so happy to be inside in a foster home lounging on the bed and getting lots of pets. Unfortunately Persi developed a UTI, and is now being treated with antibiotics. \*\*\*\* Update 10/11/25\*\*\*\* Sweet Persi recently finished a round of antibiotics for his UTI, but unfortunately, he’s still not fully recovered. His foster has noticed he’s continuing to pee small brown spots in random areas around the house — a sign that something still isn’t right. Today, Persi is back at the vet for further diagnostics to figure out what’s going on. The team suspects he may have a bladder stone, which could explain his lingering discomfort. Persi has been such a trooper through all of this, and we’re hoping to get clear answers soon so he can finally feel relief. Thank you to everyone who’s been following and supporting Persi’s journey. Your compassion makes it possible for him to get the care he needs. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more! \*\* Update 10/24/25\*\* Sweet Persi has come such a long way, but his medical journey isn’t over yet. This gentle boy is still struggling with an ear polyp that causes painful, recurring infections and heavy wax buildup—requiring daily cleanings just to keep him comfortable. On top of that, his inward-turning eyelid (entropion) constantly irritates his eye, leaving him with discharge and discomfort. The only way to give Persimmon lasting relief is through surgery to correct both issues. We’ve already spent over $700 on his vet visits, treatments, and prescription food, and now he needs about $1,700 more for these crucial procedures. Please consider donating or sharing Persimmon’s story. Every contribution helps bring him closer to a pain-free, happy life surrounded by comfort and care Update 11/11/25 Persimmon’s ear polyp (causing constant ear infections and extra wax buildup, requiring daily ear cleaning) was just removed! It was HUGE!. He also had an inward eyelid (entropion) that was causing him discomfort and constant eye discharge, fixed!! Please consider donating or sharing to help us cover the cost of his surgeries and ongoing care. Every bit makes a difference in giving Persimmon the happy, healthy life he deserves. 1/13/26 Update Because of you, Persi is no longer suffering in silence. When Pumpkin’s Rescue Club found him, Persi was sick, starving, and abandoned—likely discarded after being used for breeding. He was battling malnutrition, a painful chronic ear infection, urinary issues, and multiple medical conditions that made everyday life uncomfortable. Thanks to your support, Persi found safety in a loving foster home and received the veterinary care he desperately needed. His UTI was treated, further diagnostics were completed, and—most importantly—his painful ear polyp and inward-turning eyelid were surgically corrected. These procedures have already made a significant difference in his comfort and quality of life. Persi still has monitoring and recovery ahead, but because of you, he now has relief, stability, and the chance at the healthy, gentle life he always deserved. From Pumpkin’s Rescue Club and Persi himself—thank you for showing him he is cherished and for making his healing possible.

Tilt

Tilt is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Coconut Creek, FL, who needs $2,500 for Spay, URI and Ear Infection Treatment, Diagnostics.

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Tilt was found huddled on someone’s porch in heartbreaking condition—more than half her fur was gone, her eyes and nose were crusted with thick green discharge, and she wobbled with a pronounced head tilt. Thankfully, she found herself under the care of Pumpkin's Rescue Club. We rushed her to the vet, where tests confirmed a severe upper respiratory infection and a painful ear infection. She began treatment right away, receiving multiple antibiotics, eye medications, and ear drops to help her start the long road to recovery. Sadly, her head tilt hasn’t improved and is likely permanent due to the time she went without care before being rescued. While it doesn’t cause her pain now, it’s a reminder of the struggles she endured before finding safety. Despite everything she’s been through, Tilt is incredibly loving. She flops over for belly rubs, seeks out human companionship, and charms everyone she meets. Her fur is slowly growing back, and she’s starting to look as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Tilt is safe and adored, but her medical bills have added up quickly. She still needs ongoing treatment to keep her comfortable and healthy. Your support will help us continue giving her the care she deserves. Update 9/9/25 Tilt went to the vet for a follow-up appointment today. She still has an active ear infection and is congested, so the vet wants to continue treatment for that for another 2 weeks and then see how she is doing. ** Update 10/11/25 ** Sweet Tilt has been receiving treatment for her upper respiratory infection, but despite everyone’s best efforts, she’s still struggling with significant congestion. Today, she’s back at the vet for a follow-up and additional diagnostics to help us understand what’s going on and how we can help her finally breathe easier. Tilt has been such a little fighter through all of this, and her foster family continues to give her all the love and care she needs. Thank you to everyone who’s been rooting for her recovery — your support makes it possible for us to keep getting her the medical care she deserves. We’ll share more updates soon as we learn what’s next for our brave girl.

Rufus needs urgent care for severely infected eyes

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

When a kind-hearted Good Samaritan went to feed a small colony of community cats, they never expected to meet Rufus. Unlike the others, Rufus didn’t shy away—he walked right up to them, purring and pressing his head into their hands, desperate for love. But what broke their heart even more was how badly he was suffering. Rufus was skin and bones, so frail and thin it was a wonder he could stand. His fur was matted and dirty from struggling to survive outdoors. But the most shocking of all were his eyes—so red, swollen, and infected they were barely open. It’s a miracle he could see anything at all. Despite it all, Rufus was unbelievably sweet—rubbing against legs, asking for pets, trusting humans. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club took him into their care. After seeing his condition, they immediately took him to the vet where he is now hospitalized and receiving intensive care. He’s being treated for malnutrition, dehydration, and painful eye infections. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is a small rescue that helps cats like Rufus receive the care and love they need to get their second chance. Please consider donating to help them cover the cost of Rufus's treatment. Update 8/14/25 Rufus is doing great in foster care. He has energy to play and loves attention. He goes back to the vet soon for more bloodwork and to re-evaluate his eyes.

A Gentle Soul in Need—Help Brownie Heal from Urgent Leg Amputation

Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club

Brownie is a 5–7-year-old Chantilly-Tiffany cat rescued in critical condition with a necrotic, maggot-infested leg and severe anemia. Despite his rough start, he’s sweet, calm, and affectionate. Now safe in foster care, he’s preparing for leg amputation surgery and a fresh start in a loving forever home. Brownie was taken to Access Specialty Animal Hospital in Palm Beach County after being found severely underweight with a necrotic, maggot-infested leg. He was stabilized with fluids and antibiotics. X-rays ruled out cancer, but he’s anemic and will undergo amputation surgery to ensure a full recovery. Brownie is incredibly sweet and gentle, despite everything he’s been through. He loves being petted, purrs softly, and seeks out affection. He’s calm, trusting, and enjoys quiet time with his foster mom. His loving nature shines through, making him a special and comforting companion to everyone he meets. Brownie’s emergency care and upcoming amputation have already cost over $1,200, and expenses are still growing. His foster stepped up without hesitation, but I can’t do this alone. Having Brownie healthy and pain-free would mean everything—he deserves a second chance. Update 4/30/25: Brownie’s leg amputation surgery went smoothly, and we’re thrilled to say that his recovery is going extremely well! Since the procedure, Brownie has been adjusting beautifully. He already seems so much more comfortable—like a weight (literally and figuratively) has been lifted. His appetite is fantastic (he’s eating like a champ!), and his energy and affection haven’t skipped a beat. Despite everything he’s endured, Brownie continues to be the absolute sweetest soul. He’s been soaking up love, purring constantly, and charming everyone he meets. That said, Brownie still has some healing ahead. He’s learning how to move around on three legs, and we’re keeping a close eye on his surgical site and overall recovery. With continued rest, love, and a bit more time, we’re confident he’ll be feeling better than ever.
