Oscar
Oscar is a 15 year old Mix-Breed in Edina, MN, who needs $3,500 for Perineal Urtherosotmy.
Edina, MN
Oscar came into my life in 2012 while I was living in Tennessee. He was found under a dumpster and was feral. Can you see where the name comes from! I live trapped him and moved him into my apartment screened porch where he proceeded to climb the walls for a few days. Then he settled down and became a complete cuddle bug. We are now back in Minnesota in an apartment and he is my shadow. Oscar suffered from urethral instructions a few times when he was younger. We have had about a 10 year break and then he had an obstruction last summer. Almost exactly a year later he blocked again. This time last week. He was unblocked and was doing amazing until today. I brought him back To Mission Animal Hospital where PU surgery was recommended. It is scheduled for tomorrow. Oscar is the quirkiest cat I’ve ever met. He flushes the toilet, shreds toilet paper and loves nothing more than raiding the pantry. If he can find a loaf of bread he will drag the whole thing under the bed. I have to lock up everything just like I would for a toddler! If he could have his way his favorite toy would be the toilet brush. He is just my constant comfort. Oscar deserves better than to go through this pain over and over. Since we don’t know why it happens we can’t really prevent it. Surgery will put everyone at ease. I am currently on unemployment and as it is for so many people, money is tight.

Maggie
Maggie is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Oak Grove, MN, who needs $4,347 for TPLO Surgery.
Oak Grove, MN
Maggie May came into our lives a few years ago, she's a Lab mix that came from No Dog Left behind. She lives with my wife myself our 3 young kids and our 16 year old cattle dog mix! She is spoiled and likes to spend her days playing in the yard with the kids and lounging on the couch:) About a month ago Maggie came in from playing outside and starting limping, we took her into the vet and got x-rays. We found out that she has a tear in her CCL that now requires surgery. Maggie was a wonderful addition to our family, she is sweet and you can really tell she cares out her kids:) She spends a lot of time with them playing and making sure they stay safe as she is always watching! Maggie is a integral part of our life and any support would be very much appreciated:) My wife recently beat breast cancer and we are still financially recovering from that! So any and all help with be much appreciated! Than you for all the love and support!

Jury
Jury is a 6 year old Rottweiler in Forest Lake, MN, who needs $3,000 for Open Pyometra Surgery -An Emergency Spay.
Forest Lake, MN
Jury has been part of our family for years and is deeply woven into our everyday life. She lives in a home full of kids who absolutely adore her, and she has always been the kind of dog who wants to be close to her people. She follows us from room to room, lays beside the kids, and brings comfort during hard days without even trying. Truly a best friend EMERGENCY HELP FOR OUR DOG JURY 💔 Today we rushed our dog Jury to Mission Animal Hospital after she became extremely sick. She has a severe uterine infection called pyometra and needs emergency treatment to survive. The vet says she is extremely sick and needs IV fluids, antibiotics, bloodwork, and stabilization immediately before they can even safely move toward surgery. Jury is more than just a dog to us — she is family. She has been a constant source of comfort, love, and companionship for our children through so many ups and downs. She is gentle, loyal, goofy, and always wants to be close to her people. Whether she’s laying by the kids, following us room to room, or simply being her sweet self, she brings so much comfort and happiness into our home. We are an extremely low-income family living paycheck to paycheck, when this happened completely unexpectedly. Jury suddenly became critically ill and was diagnosed with a severe uterine infection requiring emergency stabilization and surgery. We only had $100 avail

Mocha
Mocha is a 5 month old Great Dane in eagan, MN, who needs $2,500 for Wrist Trauma.
eagan, MN
Meet Mocha, our beautiful 5 month old Great Dane puppy with the sweetest soul and the biggest paws you’ve ever seen. Mocha came into our lives after being rescued from a friend, and from the moment she curled up beside my 4 year old daughter, she became family. She’s our only pet, our protector, our cuddle bug, and our “big little puppy” all wrapped into one giant goofy body. Mocha has sufferd an injury to her front wrist and we are currently at the mission vet hospital in Eden Prairie Mn awaiting the vet to help us. I am on a fixed income and mocha needs to have her leg looked at urgently. Mocha is a silly playful puppy. She loves to sniff and explore on her daily walks and loves playing tag with my 4yrold. She loves to eat peanut butter treats and icecubes. She doesnt have any doggie friends yet ut shes a cuddle bug and protects me and my baby. This is an unexpected expense and i have only one income in my household. Im disabled and if anyone is willing to help its greatly.appreciated. thank you for your time.

Thor
Thor is a 12 year old Chihuahua in Monticello, MN, who needs $8,000 for Emergency Orthopedic Surgery.
Monticello, MN
We rescued Thor 12yrs ago, he was a homeless dog living on the streets. He was abused and hungry and in desperate need of a loving family. He needed us just as much as we needed him. 2 days ago our 25lbs pitbull accidentally stepped on Thors paw and it ended up breaking pretty much right in half and part of the bone is sticking out of him, it requires emergency surgery otherwise they said he will get sepsis and end up dying, and if we can’t get the money we’ll have no choice but to put him down to end his suffering. He is so special to our family, we found out our son was deaf when he was 3 so when we took Thor in he immediately took to our son and has provided him 12yrs of emotional support. We just don’t expect this expense, we lost my sister to cancer last year and the year prior to that we lost my brother in law ( her husband) to sepsis, I’m scared wha losing thro would do to my children and my sisters children who I am currently raising.

Noodle
Noodle is a 8 month old Rat Terrier in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $2,473 for Gastrointestinal Surgery for Bowel Obstruction.
Minneapolis, MN
Noodle was fostered by a friend. I met the little guy at a coffee hangout at another friends' house, where Noodle attended for the first time. He was social and sweet and kept returning to me, and I knew I had to introduce him to my other dog and my spouse to see if he was a good fit. Noodle is receiving care from Mission Animal Hospital for a bowel obstruction, which will likely require surgery. He has been so brave about this, and yet I can tell he is in terrible pain. Noodle is a sweet little boy who loves to snuggle his dads and play with his canine sister, Star. He also hunts mice, plays an incredible game of fetch, and wants to greet every neighbor he meets on a walk. He's never met another dog he didn't like, including the reactive ones. I had to change jobs due to an emergent situation in the past year and unfortunately lost half my income. I have two medically challenging dogs, and they provide incredible emotional support to me. Noodle has impressively helped my older dog with her reactivity and anxiety.

Hitomi
Hitomi is a 6.5 year old Mix-Breed in Inver Grove Heights, MN, who needs $1,617 for Cystotomy.
Inver Grove Heights, MN
We got Hitomi at a farm about six and a half years ago, she has a sister named Honey who came to us through the cat distribution system in the middle of the road, she also has a dog named Maple who she adopted from some people who couldn't take care of her anymore. Her name means pupil of the eye, according to google, and she really is the apple of my eye. About a year ago Hitomi developed bladder stones which were controlled with specialized food, but three days ago she couldn't pee and we all got really scared because we knew it could be fatal, so we took her to Mission Animal Hospital, they did tests and x rays and found a blockage, they pushed it back with a catheter, they also informed us that she needs surgery as soon as possible Hitomi came to us through a friend, they were working at a farm with a lot of cats of all ages running around, the owners wanted to rehome all of them, so we decided to get one, when we offered them treats a lot of then came to get them but Hitomi sat looking at us from afar, so we brought some to her but only ate if we fed her in the mouth, that's when we knew she was a diva and we her slaves. We live in Minnesota and we stopped working mid December, because as brown people, we were really afraid of what was going on, we only just recently started working again but we went through all of our savings this past months, and Hitomi really needs this done right away

Layla
Layla is a 8 year old German Shepherd Dog in Fridley, MN, who needs $4,500 for TPLO Surgery.
Fridley, MN
Layla came into our lives 3 years ago, when we were looking for a friend for our dog Zoey after we had to euthanize Zoey's best friend. I found her at the Minnesota Humane Society, and fell in love with her On March 12th 2026, I noticed that Layla was in a great deal of pain, and it seemed to be coming from her left rear leg. I took her to the vet and found she has a torn ligament, and requires surgery which we cannot afford. Layla loves to be pet, and although she doesn't know how to play with humans she loves to play with our other dog. She also is very sweet and affectionate towards our two cats, even if they don't reciprocate that affection. My family is still trying to recover from a devastating house fire in September 2024, which is complicated due to me being unemployed since April of 2025.

Figaro
Figaro is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Cottage Grove, MN, who needs $3,000 for ASP Perineal Urethrostomy.
Cottage Grove, MN
Got Figgie 3 Years ago from a friend who had kittys that needed homes. Figaro was the first name that came to me, with his little black nose. Hes a ball of fluff and just looks at you with the cutest face. He is my fur child. Figaro has been thru 3 surgeries with blockage. He had surgery a Year ago to relieve the blockage. We had hoped it wouldnt happen again by changing diet ect. It happened again 4 months ago and we unblocked him again and hoped for the best. It has cost 1200.00 both times to unblock him. This time it happened we took him to Mission animal Hospital and they did surgery to remove his penis. Figgie has 1 brother and 1 sister, Odin and baby. Him and Odin are best buddies and take care of each other grooming, sleeping and playing together. Figgie is very personable, lovable cat. Like most people times are tough. Last year I had health problems with type2 diabetes and it caused me to be out of work for a time and in August my wife left and served me with divorce papers. This was not expected. I My cats are everything to me they are my fur kids.

Sebastian
Sebastian is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Anoka, MN, who needs $4,727 for Perineal Urethrostomy Surgery.
Anoka, MN
Sebastian came into my life at the most “purr”fect time. I had just lost a cat and was heartbroken when a friend reached out about two one-day-old rescue kittens needing a home. Those boys are now Sebastian and Finnigan. They have grown up side by side and are inseparable. They are each other’s comfort and joy. Any help to keep these brothers healthy and together would truly mean the world to me. Sebastian was born with an abnormally small penis; so small I initially thought he was a girl. Unfortunately, this has led to repeated urinary blockages as crystals build up and obstruct his bladder. These episodes are becoming more frequent. Mission Animal Hospital recommends a perineal urethrostomy to create a wider opening, prevent further scarring, and help him urinate safely moving forward. Sebastian is my vocal boy, always chirping for my or Finnigan’s attention. He and Finnigan are almost always side by side, wrestling or curled up together. If he is not with his brother, he is meeting me at the door or climbing into my arms to snuggle as close as he can. Other people? He tolerates them from a distance. He may be my emotional support animal, but I think I am his too. This past year brought a divorce, a pay cut, rising rent, and medical bills. I am doing everything I can, but this surgery is more than I can manage alone. Sebastian’s condition is now life-threatening. He needs this procedure before permanent damage makes it too late.

Hermes
Hermes is a 18 month old Ragdoll in Duluth, MN, who needs $4,000 for Femoral Head Osteotomy (FOH).
Duluth, MN
Hermes was found at only a few weeks old on the side of the road. No parent cats or siblings around. He was raised at the Animal Allies shelter in Duluth, Minnesota until he was 10 weeks old and went up for adoption. We adopted him and he quickly became companions with our two older cats. He spends most of his time inside, but in warmer months gets to go outside to his catio and for walks. Hermes is suffering from a growth defect in one of his hips, which results in the head of his femur not fitting into the joint. It causes him to limp and not be able to move around as freely as he used to. He needs a femoral head osteotomy to reduce his pain. Hermes is the biggest sweetheart and just is a delight to everyone who meets him. A very friendly little guy who loves to greet everyone who comes into the house (even workers doing repairs!). He's very close with our cat Tilney, often playing together. He's a snuggle bug when the mood strikes him. He also loves to play with puff ball toys and puzzles. It would take us months if not longer to save up for this procedure in lieu of our other financial responsibilities. Getting Hermes out of pain would be a huge relief, and our cute boy could start living his playful life again.

Lily
Lily is a 8 year old American Shorthair in Rosemount, MN, who needs $900 for Diagnostics for Vomiting.
Rosemount, MN
I adopted Lily when she was 7 years old in August of 2024. Her previous owner passed away. When I first met her, she got off of the couch to greet me despite me never having met her before. She will be 9 in March of 2026. She has strabismus, which means her eyes go in different directions, but I think it’s something that makes her even cuter. She used to be over 17 pounds and is now down to 13.1 Lily has chronic intermittent vomiting. I took her to the vet earlier this month and was told to bring her back if she keeps vomiting, which she has. I can’t afford another vet bill. Her clinic is Mission hospital in MN. We are trying a gi prescription diet and stool softeners, but the vomiting continues. She had an x ray and blood work done previously. Blood work normal. X ray showed constipation She loves to lay on my chest and purr and then we fall asleep together. She is the muse for my art. As pictured I painted her as a cat mermaid. She is my calm when everything feels out of control and she is registered through my university as my ESA. This might sound weird to say about a cat, but she is the love of my life and my entire heart and soul. I love her more than anything. I make $11.43 an hour which is minimum wage and I work part time as I’m in school and I just don’t have enough to cover hundreds in vet bills. It would mean so much to see my little daughter healthy again and not vomiting, especially because it’s been going on for a while.

Harley
Harley is a 5 year old Great Pyrenees in Lonsdale, MN, who needs $4,500 for TPLO.
Lonsdale, MN
After many visits to shelters and adoption events we began to feel hopeless. We needed the perfect fit for our family. We have a special needs granddaughter so it had to be just the right dog. We needed a gentle and soft being. Harley chose us! He sought us out of about 15 ppl. He was gentle from the start and greeted us with a gentle excitement. Nudging to get loves. We couldn’t resist! Harley has had 1 TPLO ACL repair surgery. He’s tiggery and loves to jump. It is not uncommon for larger animals to have to have surgery on the other side since they over compensate. The prognosis is that he will be 100% once surgery is completed. It’s not easy recovery, he needs to be lifted up and down stairs and kenneled with 100% supervision. He will be coming with me to work. People luv him We have a special needs child. Harley has a 6th sense to go to who needs him on any given day. He’s good for a soft cuddle or grabs a toy and tries to toss it to you! He licks tears and lets us know he is here and all will be okay! He chooses a different person to sleep with nightly. He’s truly a guardian angel and makes even the worst days better! My husband shattered his heel. He needed 6 months of recovery time. He is in construction. I’m an office manager at a veterans club. We can’t come up with the 2500 for down payment to proceed with monthly payments to the vet. We’re still paying for his 1st surgery

Mama
Mama is a 2 year old American Shorthair in Vermillion, MN, who needs $1,800 for GI Surgery- Remove Retained Fetus.
Vermillion, MN
Mama is a sweet adult cat who needs urgent, medically necessary surgery due to serious internal injuries. Her veterinary team has documented that delaying this procedure increases the risk of complications and could negatively impact her recovery. I have been doing everything I can to advocate for her care, including working closely with the clinic, exploring payment options, and pursuing an insurance claim related to her injuries. Unfortunately, there is a timing gap between when care is needed and when funds from the claim may become available. Right now, the immediate barrier is the upfront cost required for surgery. I am not asking for free care - only help bridging this critical moment so Mama can receive the treatment her veterinarians have recommended. Any support, whether through donating or sharing, would go directly toward her surgical care and recovery. I am fully committed to her wellbeing and to ensuring she has a safe, calm environment to heal. Thank you for taking the time to read Mama’s story and for helping us through this incredibly difficult moment.

Peter
Peter is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in St Paul, MN, who needs $1,700 for Foreign Body.
St Paul, MN
Hi! My current name is Peter but my new foster may change it. I’m a little bit of a trouble maker and really like to eat plastic. As a result I need surgery to remove plastic from my tummy. This surgery is going to run upwards of $1,700 which is a bit of an unexpected amount around the holidays. Merry Christmas guys! If anyone is able to help my new foster out with this it would be much appreciated! I just appreciate going home with her! I’m a very sweet boy I just make poor life decisions! I’m being seen by Mission Animal Hospital and it’s amazing team of veterinarians! I came at a bit of an unexpected time for my new foster mom. She and I would really appreciate any help you can give!

Fish
Fish is a 12 Year Old Mix-Breed in Minneapolis, MN, Who Needs $2,000 for Gastrointestinal Obstruction.
Minneapolis, MN
He is soul bonded to his papa and does not do well with other pets so fostering is not a good option for us. Most grants available are for cancer in pets and we have selected the only sliding scale vet in our area for his care. My senior pet Fish has a blockage in his stomach preventing him from getting vital nutrients. He will receive care at Mission Pet Hospital in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Fish is the best pet I have ever had. He is very sweet and gentle. He loves to yap. His favorite toy is a long string and his favorite meal is chicken (he's not a cannible after all lol). Fish has two parents, one of which who was laid off recently. The shared household vehicle has become a money pit. And we have spent so much in preventative care hoping the issue was his food, litter, or stimulation. We have had to throw away alot of clothing and rugs.

Dimples
Dimples is a 2 Year Old Mix-Breed in Minneapolis, MN, Who Needs $500 for Initial Exam, Bloodwork and Neuter.
Minneapolis, MN
Recently, we moved from Chicago to Minneapolis, and as we were packing, this sweet boy started to come by regularly. We were so sad we’d be leaving soon; the few times I tried trapping him, I couldn’t do it and ran out of time. I also couldn’t stop thinking about this little guy, so I drove back down over Thanksgiving and was lucky enough to finally trap him before the big snowfall and drop in temperature. So now a Minnesota boy, Dimples, has been seen for his initial exam at Mission Animal Hospital in Eden Prairie, MN and his test results are good to go for his neuter. We are trying our best to give him a chance at being a happy boy who can enjoy the soft warmth of blankets and eventually forget how it felt being outside where he was hungry and bullied by other animals. We knew Dimples was ready to be rescued when he would sit by the door for hours and we’re so happy to try to help him. Since being inside, he’s started to find his little meow and chirp at dinnertime! Another sweet thing about this story is that a year ago, we rescued another local stray cat named Blue and we have a feeling these two sweethearts are related. So with our move and having 6 other kitty rescues, vet care can make ends hard to meet. Our main priority is always getting them off the street and to a vet ASAP. We ask our community for help with anything; no amount is too small, and the kitties and we appreciate you.

River is a 1 Year Old Mix-Breed in Mapleton, MN, Who Needs $2,000 for Blockage Removal Surgery.

But they checked him out and his dehydrated and has a blockage. So he needs surgery. I have been nothing but a mess bc I can't help him I can't pay for it. So I'm sicker then sick I feel I have failed him. This pup I rescued and he has become my lil boy his my baby and has been there for me through so much already. He was there for me when my dad passed and then my uncle 3 days later. This dog is the perfect dog he listens like no other dog j know. And allows pretty much u can do anything and he just lays there and takes it. He curls up in my arms for bed time and stays till I'm asleep. I honestly don't know what or where I would be without this baby boy of mine. His my rock his my support his knows when I need a lil more love and cuddles. He knows when I just need him at my feet to cuddle. His just too perfect all there is to it.

Lucky
Lucky is a 5 year old American Longhair in Plymouth, MN, who needs $1,000 for Deobstipation.
Plymouth, MN
Lucky came into my life when I was consumed by grief. Little did I know, he would soon heal me in ways I could not imagine. I came across a sweet advertisement for a kitten who was very loving and cuddly. His pictures were mostly of him intertwined with his twin brother bear. Nose to nose. I immediately put in an application for him without hesitations. Just instinct. Lucky has presented with constipation since he was 2 years old. After his first hospitalization revealing that he had no symptoms that could explain why he was unable to use the bathroom but after the switch to prescription fiber filled food and the occasional laxative, he would manage his symptoms. During October of 2025, Lucky started showing signs of constipation. Lucky loves to love. Although anxious to strangers, to his favorite beings, he is always there loving you. Lucky is one of the rarest kinds of cats that you come across that can make you feel so special and important. Just by how he looks at you with big yellow eyes that are full of admiration and affection. He is not just a cat but a healer. To his bonded brother, he is everything. With my grandmother needing financial help with medication after my father’s passing, I jumped right in as anyone would. As the eldest sister, providing help to my grandmother and sister. My younger sister is a single mother. Now I am needing to help my sweet cat.

Aela
Aela is a 0 year old American Shorthair in Eagan, MN, who needs $3,020 for Fixing Femur Bone Break.
Eagan, MN
We rescued Aela from a local PetSmart (via the Rescue Network). She has been with us for about a month. We have no other pets in our home, so we are able to focus all of our attention on love on her. We have 2 kids (6yo & 3yo) and Aela gets on great with them. Aela unfortunately broke the femur bone on her rear left leg. She was originally seen at Banfield in Burnsville however their quote was $7500-$10000. We have taken her to Mission Animal Hospital instead and they have given us an estimate of $3019.49 Aela is an unbelievably sweet kitten. She purrs so much and is certainly a people person. She always makes us all laugh with her crazy zoomies. She absolutely loves to chase a laser pointer or her favorite koi fish on a string. The first night we brought her home she just kept continuingly purr and rubbing up against us, my wife believes that she was thanking us for rescuing her. We are a paycheck to paycheck family. I work a full time job of 40 hours as my wife watches the kids and when I get home my wife goes to work and works around 20 hours a week. We cannot afford this surgery at all and help would be immensely helpful!

Ringo
Ringo is a 16 year old Mix-Breed in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $1,000 for Ongoing Heart Disease Care.
Minneapolis, MN
Ringo happened into my life when someone I knew found him left behind in a foreclosed house he was working on. Ringo fell asleep in his lap to the song Octopus’s Garden by The Beatles, leading to his name. He was gifted to me complete with his current abandonment issues from his experience. He now lives with me only, and I work from home to accommodate his need for someone’s constant presence! Currently in Ringo’s old age, he has gathered quite a few diagnosis: FIV, heart arrhythmia, heart disease, and early signs of dementia. He began treatments for his heart disease in February, needing multiple scans, ultrasounds, and heart monitors to study his vitals and give him treatment. He’s currently on 3 life long medications and is a regular patient at Mission Animal Hospital. Ringo’s personality and gentle soul touches every life he meets - people, dogs and even hamsters. He is my best friend in the world and many people’s favorite cat. He will come when you call him, follows me from room to room and nightly he sleeps with his head in my hand and his paw on my forehead. He comes out with me to markets to meet people and make friends! He’s lovable to everyone he meets! Ringo’s several diagnosis’s he has completely financially drained me, and I don’t regret a dollar I’ve spent, but I’m struggling to afford ongoing care. His medications alone cost me over 100 monthly and I have another senior cat who has ongoing health needs and monthly meds

Bleu
Bleu is a 3 month old French Bulldog in Hudson, WI, who needs $2,000 for Left Forelimb Distal Humerus Surgical Repair.
Hudson, WI
Bleu is beyond special, my fur baby Bleu was gifted to me by a breeder on 9/8/25 shortly after the loss of my stillborn baby boy on 9/5/25, he is actually named after my baby boy Emery Bleu. He means so much to me and I just feel terrible he is hurting. He is my only pet, and brings me so much joy after such a tragic loss. Bleu is a 3 month old Frenchie, he sustained a left forelimb distal humerus fracture that requires surgical repair at Mission animal hospital. Unfortunately I am on short term disability due to delivering my still born baby September 5th, 2025. My income is essentially non existent at the moment, my short term disability has not started yet as I am waiting to be approved for my claim. Bleu immediately brought my family so much joy after such a tragic loss. He was a gift from a breeder after she heard our story about our stillborn baby boy. I did not realize how much I needed a fur baby until I was gifted Bleu. He is such a happy, energetic puppy and I feel horrible he is pain. I am a RN, and currently out of work due to the loss of my stillborn baby boy at 5.5 months pregnant. My claim for short term disability is still pending, and my income is zero at the moment, short term supplements 60% of my income and does not cover my living expenses.

Alley
Alley is a 6 month old Mix-Breed in Saint Paul, MN, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Fix a Broken Femur.
Saint Paul, MN
Alley was discovered on 8/25/25 in the window well of a neighbor's. She was clearly injured and emaciated. Another neighbor came with a carrier and brought her to another neighbor's house where we began working to find the owners. Sadly, no one has come forward and no lost kitten posts for her. A friend who works in rescue helped out with information, a large dog crate, food and litter. Alley clearly had a dislocated hip, so we took her to be seen at Mission Animal Hospital. We learned that she also has a broken femur on her right leg along with the FHO (dislocated hip) on the left. She is scheduled for surgery on Thursday, September 4, 2025. She is alert and has probably gained at least half a pound or more. Luckily, no fleas, worms, or mites! Alley is named after our neighborhood group the "Alley Queens" (mostly retired single women living on a shared alley). She is an absolute love bug. Affectionate and sweet as all get out. She stole our hearts and we feel like she is a great candidate for surgery and for a good life! Folks have chipped in for food and supplies. We've raised almost $1000 from kind neighbors, but the surgery will cost $6000 on the high end. I put in $700 for the vet appt with X-rays. Mission will put us on a payment plan, but we are retired women on fixed incomes!

Marshall
Marshall is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Crystal, MN, who needs $1,452 for Dental Surgery.
Crystal, MN
I found Marshall through Facebook. We needed each other. I've had him for over 4 years, and he does great with my cats and rabbit. I didn't name him, but I think he was named after the Marshall from Paw Patrol, the show for kids. Marshall is so sweet to the people he meets. He will always come up for a pet, a snuggle, or just to be in our vicinity. Quality time is his love language. Marshall was attacked by two dogs several nights ago-- wasn't his fault. He was bit on the neck, got a scratch on the nose, and injured some teeth. The other dogs were completely fine. He now needs dental surgery at Mission Animal Hospital at Eden Prairie. I'm so thankful that Mission does a sliding scale since I'm low income and on disability, and I still can't even come close to affording it. Marshall is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He's deaf and gets really anxious when I'm gone. As soon as I get home he welcomes me with a waggy tail. He never jumps up on people, he just silently bounces up and down. People remark how good and gentle he is with their kids. Marshall is a one-of-a-kind dog who loves me with his entire heart and loves anyone else I bring into his life. I have many disabilities and am on Social Security Disability. I can only work around 5 hours a week at the moment. This huge payment was totally not on my radar, and I still have to buy cat food and pay for my renters insurance.

Kody

Momo
Please help Momo who needs $1700 for Surgery to Remove Masses & Determine if Cancerous. (9 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Minneapolis, MN)
Minneapolis, MN
Momo came into our lives as a foster, but as soon as we met her we knew she'd be staying with us forever. We fell in love with her. She was just a pup and so nervous, but sweet and curious. That was over 9 years ago and we've been inseparable ever since. She is super affectionate, curious, playful and loving. She has a big sister in Kiki, who is our kitty. We love them both so much! Momo has several masses and there's the possibility that they may be cancerous. We are so worried about her. The only way to be sure is to have them surgically removed and tested. She's being treated by Mission Animal Hospital here in Minnesota. Momo is a silly and loving girl. She loves to snuggle up as close as possible and nap next to you. She is very playful and loves a good squeaky toy! She loves to chew on sticks. She has the most expressive face you can imagine. Among her looks? Smiling (for real), worried, quizzical, excited and can I eat that? She has best friends in my son's dogs, Bee and Yoyo and they are a loving pack! Momo's diagnosis was costly and her surgery will be much more costly. I am disabled, chronically ill, not able to work and live with extremely low income. I'm heartsick over this situation of Momo's health needs and my inability to cover the costs to help her.

Tuni Johnson
Tuni Johnson is a 1 year old American Shorthair in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $1,000 for Bandage Re-Wraps and Medicine (8 total).
Minneapolis, MN
I was given Tuna from some stranger i met off the streets in passing conversation: when I was talking to someone about how I got diagnosed with bipolar II depression they offered me a friends cat a said that she can really help with my depression so I took her and gave her a try. She just turned two this July 2nd. Tuna broke her leg over a month ago, but I couldn't afford the cost of getting her bandages rewrapped and I didn't have transpiration at the time to mission hospital. She a really active cat, which I love, As soon as I walk through the door she starts to talk my ear off. I really like that cause I lived alone before I had her so I was always coming home to the quite. She really good at getting me out of my head and she gets on everything ( which I could do better training her ) but over all she's a great cat and she always friendly to whoever walks in. It would mean so much to Tuni and I if your were able to support us financially so she can get back to her normal, talkative self. Its been a bit quite in the home again since her injury.

Xander
Xander is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $500 for Urinary Concerns.
Minneapolis, MN
Xander was a rescue. We were looking for a playmate for our other cat Serena. He was originally named frosty because he was found outside by the vet team. We originally picked three names and Xander was the one that stuck. Granted we rarely call him that. It's usually many nicknames like "chunky buns or big boy" Xander is sadly experiencing a blockage. He is having a hard time urinating and defecating. He has had a hard time for the passed 2 days and we are doing what we can as a family in a very hard transition to get him care. Xander has been a rock to this family. He has been an amazing healer, teacher, listener, support buddy, comfort, friend. Especially to my autistic son. He loves to play Play-Doh and Legos with him. Cuddle during video games and loves to come on walks with us outside and make us giggle chasing grasshoppers Divorce, inability to work for medical reason, and my son lost his dad in March. Xander is his world. He has already lost so much I can't see him lose Xander too.

Chopper
Chopper is a 4 year old Boxer in Maple Grove, MN, who needs $2,000 for Mass Removal.
Maple Grove, MN
Chopper was being given away by someone threatening to self euthanize if they couldn't rehome the puppies. We took Chopper and his sibling to help, intending to find them loving homes. Instead we fell in love and decided to keep them both, giving them that safe and loving home with us. That was 4 and a half years ago and can't imagine our home without him in it. Chopper has a large mass on his stomach/groin area. We took him to vet and they biopsied and sent it to the lab, the lab was unable to determine what it is. The vet stated that it need to be removed and check if it is malignant. Mission Animal Hospital. Chopper is a 108 lbs Boxer who truly believes he is a lap dog. Despite his size he insists on sitting right on top of you, or at least having some part of his body touching you at all times. Chopper doesn't just live with out family, he's part of it. Even with his size he is gentle and incredibly sweet, calm and and seems to know exactly when his people need a little extra love. I went through a major health issue and was unable to work for months and we used all of our saving to get through that tough time. Now we are still trying to put the pieces back together and are unable to get enough funds to help with his surgery and follow vet care.

Winona
Winona is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Rice, MN, who needs $2,000 for Humerus Fracture Repair.
Rice, MN
Winnie was rescued from a shelter June of 2024. She currently lives with her family, Scout who is her furry dog friend, and Alex and Emery, her adoptive mom and sister. She was a stray before she was brought to the shelter, and Alex was not planning on adopting when she came to visit, but Winnie stole her heart and gave Alex the chance to give her a home. Winnie managed to find her way outside of her house, it’s unclear where she went, but she wandered her way to the wrong persons property, and they decided to take a shot at her with a pellet gun. The pellet went through her humerus (front left leg) and lodged just outside her chest wall. BluePearl was able to stabilize her at a great expense, and Mission Animal Hospital will be handling surgery. Winnie is full of curiosity. When she was first taken home, she wasn’t interested in leaving the bedroom, other than peeking out of the door, she was content. She was eager to get to know her friend Scout though, and with encouragement she opened herself up to exploring the house. She loves her little friend Emery, and is often found sleeping in her room or even snuggling up with Emery. I just finalized my divorce, last week. I am a single mother to a 3 year old, and we are living with my mother. I have to work at the same daycare my daughter attends just to pay for that, let alone never imagining I’d need to prepare to save for surgery for a furry friend.

Amity
Amity is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $1,163 for Dental Cleaning with Extractions.
Minneapolis, MN
I adopted Amity from the AHS last fall when she was 8y/o. She was seized from her last home by the police due to poor living conditions. It was clear she didn’t have access to proper food due to her matted, dull fur, and being 16lbs. She’s now thriving! She’s almost at her goal weight and her fur is glossy. However, her care history (or lack thereof) is causing a lot of financial stress now. Likely due to poor nutrition for her first 8 years, Amity has severe dental disease. She needs some extractions and extensive cleaning. I knew she had dental concerns when I adopted her so I began saving right away but the situation has become urgent more quickly than expected and I don’t have nearly enough put away. She receives her care at Mission Animal Hospital in Eden Prairie, MN. Over the last 9 months I’ve seen my little girl transform from a skittish, anxious cat to confident, affectionate, playful, and hilarious! She makes me laugh every day. She forgets that her tail is attached to her (see video) and gets mad at it! She loves head boops, making blanket caves, stealing my yarn, knocking things out of my hands so I pet her, and attacking birds on the TV. She’s my joy. Last month Amity got a bladder stone which was 3 vet trips and prescription food. That was 1/3 of my monthly income. Her last visit showed that her teeth needed urgent help projected to be almost $2k. I’m struggling to stay afloat.

Bella
Bella is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Corcoran , MN, who needs $2,000 for Limb Fracture Repair.
Corcoran, MN
In July 2024, I found Bella and her sister wondering in the woods where my daughter and I use to live. During this time I was going through a really bad custody battle, struggling with housing and my mental health was at its lowest because of the custody battle. Taking in Bella mad us feel much love & made us look at life & the situation differently. She gave/gives us both so much happiness! XO Bella has a broken front left leg. Splinting it is not an option. She needs surgery or she will have to have her leg amputated. She cannot live life comfortably like this. We were seen today at Access Vet Mpls, MN. We will also be getting a second opinion at Mission, Eden Prairie, MN This girl is absolutely amazing! She is so talented and smart. She plays fetch as if she was a dog! She goes for walks daily on our treadmill! She is addicted to whip cream! If we’re upset she knows and comes to give us comfort and love! I have had to take a step back from working due to my mental health. I work as I am able. But it’s not enough and definitely isn’t enough to pay for this unfortunate situation. We just want our sweet talented Bella back. It would mean so much!

Lydia
Lydia is a 10 month old Mix-Breed in Waite Park, MN, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.
Waite Park, MN
I’ve had Lydia since she was 3 months old. She is an absolute sweetheart and loves to cuddle and play. She’s almost always purring and loves making biscuits. Lydia is one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever encountered. This morning she woke me up with her crying in pain, when I went to check on her I noticed her leg was limp. After bringing her to the Missions Pet Hospital I was told she has a fractured femur. Treatment options are surgery or amputation. Lydia is a talker, she’s constantly telling you what’s on her mind. She eats everything and anything she can and runs to the fridge as soon as someone opens the door. She loves crinkle balls, strings, springs, and chasing bouncy balls. She almost immediately begins purring as soon as you touch her or pick her up. Lydia is a very happy girl and has lots of love to share. I am not being scheduled hours at work as I need and am severely behind on bills already. I have less than $100 to my name and cannot possibly afford either procedure to help her. It would mean more than words can describe to be able to get her on her feet again.

Bella
Bella is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Coon Rapids, MN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) Surgery.
Coon Rapids, MN
Bella was found by our neighbor after hearing whining in the woods. She took her in, and that same day, I saw this tiny pup with giant paws. My partner fell in love. We cared for her while searching for her owner. A week later, someone claimed her—but she had escaped from a breeder and was going to be given away. They asked for money, and we couldn’t say no. She was already part of our family. During winter, Bella began lifting her paw outside, so I thought it was just the cold. By February, she was limping badly and couldn’t put her leg down, though she showed no signs of pain when touched. After two weeks with no improvement, I took her to Animal Mission Hospital—they said she needs TPLO surgery. They also said it wasn’t an accident; it’s genetic. Bella has won many hearts—she’s more human than dog! She loves hiking, swimming, and running. She’s super smart and very expressive, especially about showers (not a fan) but loves to swim! She adores pup-cups, treats, and cuddles, yet can be independent too. Whether sleeping alone or snuggling under my blanket, she’s simply amazing. She loves attention and will beg for it. Bella’s surgery is more than I can afford, and it’s heartbreaking to see her in pain. She deserves to run, play, and enjoy life like she used to. Getting her healthy again would mean the world to me. Any support would be a huge help and deeply appreciated.

Nala
Nala is a 4 year old Siberian Husky in Oak Grove, MN, who needs $2,000 for ASP TPLO Surgery.
Oak Grove, MN
Nala came into me and my son’s life out of nowhere. We live in a split level house and when our downstairs neighbor bought Nala from another family, my son let her inside our level to meet our other dog, and we got attached. They let us keep her after that since they didn’t have a place for her. I take her with me to work during my newspaper route, and she gets mad when I don’t let her come with. Nala tore her ACL, but we don’t know how. She is close to tearing her other one as well. She can’t sit still even with the injury no matter what we do, she just “needs” to keep running around no matter what. We normally go to Missions Animal hospital for our pets. Nala will do whatever she can to mess with other animals. And if you pet her and then stop, she will howl at you until you pet her again. She throws a tantrum if she isn’t happy with something, and will get jealous if our other dog Luna gets attention instead. We probably won’t have the money for her treatment for a while, and we’re hoping that we could try this for some extra help so we can let her run without hurting herself. She’s just devastated that she can’t run as much or as fast anymore, and we want our dog to be happy

Major
Major is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Fridley, MN, who needs $1,200 for Tests & Xrays, Treatment Plan with Follow Up.
Fridley, MN
Hi my name is Major and my parents adopted me 3 weeks ago from the humane society. Im so happy I was adopted as this was my second time having to be there. I love spending time and bonding with my human. I haven't been eating much since I got to my new home because I was just fixed. On 3/25 I started vomiting to the point there was blood. This got my humans concerned so they brought me in and want to do a series of tests and Xrays. This was at Murry Animal Hospital. I am going to a different vet tomorrow. Mission Animal Hospital, Eden Prairie, MN. I am an emotional support animal and really don't want to go back to the humane society as that is the only way they will help is if I am surrendered. I follow my human every where he goes and don't want to be separated. I just started to open up to my sister and its starting to feel like my forever home. We can come up with some of the money but not the full amount as we are just getting back on our feet. We did sign him up for pet insurance but that doesn't take effect int ill 5/1 and he wont make it that long. We were told he was 100% healthy

Jynx
Jynx is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Jordan , MN, who needs $1,000 for Exploratory Surgery.
Jordan, MN
Jynx kind of picked my at the time then in 2021 6 year old Severely Autistic daughter as her owner. My mom had just passed away in July 2021 and my daughter didnt understand that grandma was in heaven. She had ran away from home 4 times in the span of two weeks since my momma's passing. First time to buy groceries to make grandma better. Jynx showed up and my daughter hasn't ran away since. We have had Jynx now since August 2021. Jynx has had two sets of litter's. Unknown to her actual age as had all teeth.. seen at prior lake animal hospital for distended belly. Ultrasound done as her belly is round and distended. No skeletal beings. XP however picked up a growth... X-ray performed, growth not found. Suggest spay. Brought in to mission animal hospital for increased distended Jynx is our baby. She is my daughter's everything. Prior to the peeing she slept with her every night. Ran up to her, frequent playing. She loves chasing phone shadows 😅 she still is doing all this now even though it's noticable how uncomfortable she has gotten. She now sleeps either on the backside of the couch my daughter sits on. Or the rocker infront of the window. I have two Autistic children, one who is severely and need to be available to be there at the drop of a hat.bmy car broke down in September and prior to that I was doing doordash during school hours. But no car, no job. My daughter can't handle another loss. No one can 😭😞

Ferrous
Ferrous is a 6 year old Golden Retriever in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.
Minneapolis, MN
Ferrous came into our lives at about 10 weeks old from a breeder in Northern Minnesota. From the beginning he was a jolly fellow who loved to play and romp, to eat... really liked that! My sister and I live together and there is a 2 yr-old Golden who lives with us as well! His right rear leg has been favored for months now. The rest and meds may have made him more comfortable, but the leg is clearly painful. He holds it up when stationary; however, he does seem to put some weight on it while walking or trotting. We've also tried pet massage with a great practitioner, but it seems to be a CCL injury that is not resolving. Mission Animal Hospital recommends surgery Ferrous is definitely a companion for me. He sticks close whenever we go out [we could do without the leash - but we don't]. He loves to play with his younger "brother' and also to lie at my feet so I can rub him down with my toes! Before his knee acted up he loved the dog-park and freedom to run and meet as many friends as possible! The estimates for surgery (we've had two) are over $4K, and on a fixed income i simply can't afford that! If i can't raise some money through grant writing and begging, i will probably have to put him down. He is such sweet friend and could live many more years!

Silver
Silver is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $2,000 for Chain Mastectomy (x2).
Minneapolis, MN
Silver is the daughter of a stray dog we saved and brought home with us from CA years ago. Silver was birthed in our home under our watch. We've kept mama and babies together in our care their entire lives. We attend Mission Animal Hospital for all 4 of our pups. Silver has mammary masses along her chest and stomach, requiring 2 separate surgeries to remove the entire mammary chain along each side. They continue to spread & grow over time, creating more discomfort for her. They may or may not be cancerous, but we were told a biopsy wouldn't give us a fully accurate answer. Surgery is recommended. We've raised Silver from birth. She has been with our family for 7+ years. She was there when we first brought our son home from the hospital. She lays beside him during every nap, she tends to him when he cries. Silver is very observant, attentive and is full of love and affection. I have a 3 1/2 year old son with medical needs (which began during the pregnancy and will continue on through the rest of his life). I had to leave my healthcare job when he was born, in order to provide his medical cares and bring him to his multiple weekly appointments.

Chloe
Chloe is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in Burnsville , MN, who needs $1,619 for Oral Mass Removal Surgery with Biopsy of the Tumor.
Burnsville, MN
I got Chloe 12 years ago when she was 8 weeks old. We have been together everyday and she is my best friend. I have never met a more sweeter and happier dog than Chloe. Chloe is my world and my life. I love her dearly. Chloe needs surgery to remove an oral mass that is increasing in size and a biopsy to see if the tumor is cancerous. Chloe is having trouble eating and can only eat soft food. Mission Animal Hospital in Eden Prairie MN. Chloe is my emotional support dog and gives me purpose in life. Chloe was there for me and helped me through when I took care of my parents while they were sick and recently passed away. Chloe is very precious and a special sweetheart. Chloe means the world to me. I am an elderly disabled female and my social security check does not cover all my living expenses. I need help in financing Chloe’s surgery so she can have a longer and quality life.

Kohen
Kohen is a 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier in maplewood, MN, who needs $905 for Canine Tooth Removal.
maplewood, MN
When I tell people that Kohen is a rescue animal they automatically assume that I rescued him!To the contrary he rescued me!It remind me of the story of Moses when he was telling God how he wasnt fit to do what The Almighty wanted him to do.See like Moses,The Almighty knew I was going to need help on the road ahead. So for three days this lil guy was in my backyard every morning I got off work. I lost my job 3 months after taking him in.Now normally I hit the streets and do what it takes to make it. Not this time I have some one depending on me to make better choices. So instead of keeping up with Jones' hanging out we ate dinner at an area shelter and slept in the car with nightly restroom trips during the night. Then one night I was walking him and a dog came out of nowhere. They fought. He has so much energy flowing through him that I never heard him yelp in pain or even favor his mouth. Hes my shadow and he's always around me trying climb on me. That's when I notice the aroma of an infection coming from his breath. He's always on alert to the point that it deters people from conversations I promise you this I've went through some things for him that I wouldn't do for myself Now that I'm no longer a homeless veteran but a housed veteran who owes this little guy a steak that I wont eat unless its with him and if it wasnt for this service connected disability issue I'd be at McDonald's somewhere working to once again provide my lil dog

Draco
Draco is a 1 year old American Shorthair in Burnsville, MN, who needs $1,466 for Urinary Obstruction Procedure and Treatment.
Burnsville, MN
Draco is a cherished part of our family and was our first pet, given to me as a graduation gift when I was 18. His sweet personality and energy brought joy to our lives and inspired us to adopt another cat and a dog, who are now inseparable. At just under 2 years old, it’s heartbreaking to see him in pain. He’s not just a pet; he’s family, and we’re doing all we can to help him recover. Draco struggled to urinate before his vet visit, hadn’t eaten or drunk in 48 hours, and grew lethargic, twitching, and vocalizing in pain. Diagnosed with a critical urinary obstruction, he was rushed to Mission Animal Hospital, where he received IV fluids, pain relief, and a catheter to flush his bladder of crystals causing the blockage. He’s still in treatment, but his recovery isn’t guaranteed. Draco is more than a pet—he’s my comfort and constant support during the challenges of nursing school, always by my side during late nights and stressful moments. His loving, playful nature brings joy to everyone in the family. He greets us with warmth, seeks out cuddles, and has a way of making each day brighter. Draco’s deep bond with us makes him an irreplaceable part of our lives. As a 19-year-old nursing student, balancing expenses is tough. My income barely covers essentials like tuition, rent, and school supplies. I live with my grandparents, who are on a fixed income, and unfortunately we can’t afford the urgent care that Draco currently needs.

Earbud
Earbud is a 3 month old Mix-Breed in shakopee, MN, who needs $2,000 for Tail Amputation.
shakopee, MN
Oct 27 out bike riding searching for lost headphones. Along a thick wooded area, I heard LOUD shrieks and cries from the tiniest kitten. She came running out brushing up against my legs. She was injured. She scarfed down food and loved the safety of a carrier. She got the name Earbud, the reason I heard her screams. She has her very own room to play in. I have two other cats she has yet to meet. Marschall Road Animal Hospital Dr. Glieden told me her tail was sliced vertically down to bone, entire tail. The trauma most likely cut off blood flow. A tail amputation is required by a specialist due to trauma being so close to butt end of tail where so many of the nerves are in her spinal cord. Earbud started a medication regimen to begin her healing process in preparation for surgery. Earbud is the sweetest kitten ever! Purrs and talks up a storm. Excited to see you. She is vibrant with life. Playing, chasing toys, loving her circle cat toy, scratching her cat tower, zipping through the bedroom with the kitty crazies, and taking all her meds like a champ! She would be a wonderful companion to my youngest cat Pawsie who has always wanted a cuddly buddy to snuggle and play with. Tail amputation surgery cost is 2,500. I didn’t plan for a sweet, little lovable bundle to bust into my life. The unexpected cost is a lot to bear. I am a single income household. This is a life-saving surgery for Earbud and doesn’t end after the initial surgery cost.

Apollo
Apollo is a 7 year old Russian Blue in Saint Paul, MN, who needs $1,954 for Cystotomy.
Saint Paul, MN
I adopted Apollo in 2020 after he bounced around t multiple foster and “forever” homes. He has been an amazing support to me over the years. I struggle with my health and several painful conditions and he is always right there to snuggle or pur next to me to tell me everything is going to be okay. He has been my lifeline in more way then one and I can’t imagine a life without him. Apollo was diagnosed with six bladder stones that were creating a blockage that was extremely painful for him and made him unable to urinate. We went to our primary vet first and they placed a catheter under anesthesia then removed it once they were able to clear the obstruction. He did reconstruct almost immediately and we were advised to seek emergency care and told he needed surgery. Apollo loves to go on walks with his owner when the weather is nice. He often times sits in his backpack taking in the views, but will occasionally venture out and explore his surroundings. He is a huge cuddle bug once he gets to know you. He enjoys ear and booty scratches the most. And if you have a treat he will be your best friend. Over the past year I’ve had a lot of health issues which has caused overnight hospital stays, two surgeries, and multiple emergency room visits. These health issues have caused me to miss work and receive no or half pay which has hindered me from starting an emergency fund.

Angel
Angel is a 0.7 month old Mix-Breed in Hopkins, MN, who needs $2,000 for Mid-Shaft Radius/Ulna Fracture.
Hopkins, MN
I rescued Angel nearly 2 months ago from the side of the road. She is the most loving, active kitty ever. She has been a part of our family for a couple of months now. She has a positive spirit and always brings great energy wherever she is. Right now, she is feeling a bit down due to her leg fracture, which has limited her activity, but she still remains one of the strongest cats I know. Angel, my beloved cat recently suffered a leg fracture that has significantly affected her ability to be active and playful. Before the injury, she was full of energy, loving to chase her favorite laser toy and explore the world around her. However, the fracture has made her more subdued, and she has been feeling down on herself since she can't run or play like she used to. She needs proper care. Angel is more than just a pet. Her friendly and curious nature and her love for snuggling and play create the unique bond that we have that is full of warmth and joy. She also shares a home with her orange tabby brother, and together, they complete the family. Her leg fracture has affected her ability to be active, which has impacted her well-being and it's heartbreaking to see her like this. I am reaching out for financial help for Angel's leg fracture because as a full-time college student, managing school, commuting, and tight finances makes it difficult to cover the cost of her medical care. Angel is not just a pet, but a critical source of emotional support.

Rigby
Rigby is a 2 year old American Shorthair in Hamburg, MN, who needs $2,000 for PU Surgery to Prevent Further Urinary Blockages.
Hamburg, MN
In October 2021 I was visiting my aunt when she showed me a litter of kittens.. The mother of this litter had abandoned them, my aunt then bottle feed them until they were able to eat dry food. While two out of the 3 kitties were very skittish, one (Rigby) was happy to be played with. He looked up at me and scratched the door, That’s when I knew he chose me. ❤️ On Friday August 2 I took him into Mission Animal Hospital because he was unable to urinate. He stayed there for two nights. I picked him up on Sunday super excited to finally have him home but within 24 hours he became blocked again. I took him back in to mission Animal Hospital, Monday, August 5. His kidney levels were off and they are recommending surgery to fix his urethra. Rigby is absolutely my everything. He’s always there for good cuddles. He can be very mischievous, but with him being in the hospital over the weekend, I really missed his antics. I wouldn’t trade him for any other cat in the world. He is my soulmate, “my person” he is really such a good boy and he’s very friendly and even enjoys my nieces. Cost-of-living is outrageous right now and I really just don’t have the extra to pay for his emergency hospital bills and his surgery. It would mean the world to me to have him back healthy! Anything really helps. Thank you so much!

Bean
Bean is a 3 year old American Shorthair in Minnetonka, MN, who needs $1,000 for Gastrointestinal.
Minnetonka, MN
Beanie came to me as a gift from a friend. He was a stray little farm cat and needed some TLC but I took him in without a thought. I’ve had bean since he was a little baby kitten, about 3 weeks old and we’ve been the best of buddies ever since. I have another kitty at home, Bug, and they are two peas in a pod! Both the most loving boys ever. Beanie has had a habit of getting into things/eating things that are not food. Beanie got ahold of my other cats rubber collar and ate a chunk of it, resulting in needing intestinal blockage surgery. He since the surgery has struggled to go back to normal, and now is needing attention, X-rays, meds, vet er visited today and tomorrow. I feel so terrible that I can’t come up with this kind of money Beanie is suuuuper special. He is so long and cuddly. He suckles on fuzzies blankets, has a soft high pitched mew, and gives you never ending love.:) Beanie needs 2 more X-rays. Today I found out that Beanie hasn’t been wanting to defecate and this ended up causing more blockage. He was sent home with a laxative, and we will return tomorrow. I sadly do not have the funds to pay a single vet bill at this point, about 3k

Achilles
Achilles is a 9 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in Jordan, MN, who needs $1,500 for Diagnosis and Treatment.
Jordan, MN
I have. Had Achilles since he was born, he is my best friend, my support companion and my baby. We currently rent our home and unfortunately rent is due now which means I cannot pay for vet fees He recently started pooping blood, will not eat and can hardly move. This has been something that happens suddenly, never saw it coming and I know that he's going to need testing which I can't afford He is my support companion and has been by my side for 9 years. My kids absolutely love him, he goes with me everywhere and never leaves my side. He is my baby! This is a sudden unexpected event, and unfortunately we get by paycheck to paycheck and I don't know what to do. I know he's going to need some testing and x-rays.

Jaya
Jaya is a 9 year old Shetland Sheepdog in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery for Torn ACL.
Minneapolis, MN
Jaya was unique right from the beginning. As a baby puppy he was so outgoing and friendly with everyone he met I knew he was destined to be a Therapy Dog to bring joy to as many as he could. Smart beyond belief, he completed the Therapy Dog training right around his first birthday and soon we were volunteering at a school, then the airport followed by the University of MN. This spring I noticed Jaya favoring his rear right leg. He wasn't limping but going from a stand to a sit and getting up again was painful. I brought him to my vet who said it was probably a sprain and sent us home. His condition remained unchanged after weeks so I brought him to the expert in animal injury and rehabilitation. She diagnosed him with a torn ACL. He now needs a $4200 surgery. Jaya is very smart and enjoys lots of stimulation. He has many titles including Advanced Tricks and Advanced Stunt dog titles. He loves to dance with me and his sister, a rough Collie. He likes Reggae music and does the rumba, line dancing, and chorus kicks. He will do anything you ask and has been in three commercials. He gets along with everyone, dog, cat or human and shares his toys willingly While I am retirement age I can't afford to retire and live on a low income while building up my retirement contributions. I put my dogs first but a $4+thousand surgery is not possible for me to pay. It is crushing to see him hurting like this and unable to run and play.

Ira
Ira is a 4 year old Beagle in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery for Cruciate Ligament Tear.
Minneapolis, MN
Ira is our deeply loved beagle-ish mix-ish who came to us from Tennessee via Safe Hands Rescue about four awesome years ago. We were "just going to meet him" and of course now here we are. He lives with me and the twelve year old kiddo and Chuck the cat by a lovely little park with lots of humans and dogs for him to adore (and be adored by.) At the beginning of June, Ira tore his cruciate ligament while running after a very sweet Burmese in the sand at the dog park. He needs ACL surgery so he can keep running, playing, and scrounging for snacks, pain-free, for what we hope is a long life to come. We are going through Mission Animal Hospital in MN who have a special rate for folks who need it. Ira is cuddly, lovey, playful, hilarious, and stubborn. He is the cutest of all dogs. He loves hugs and kids, and does great with kids who need hugs from dogs. Last year, one of the first graders at the bus stop invited Ira to their bday party (the humans were not invited...) Ira also loves lying in the sun, standing in the water, eating trash, and sneaking under the blankets to snuggle. Full time single parent working adjunct gigs = not $4k for Ira's surgery. This means a lot to the whole fam. Thanks for any and all help for our beloved!

Micah
Micah is a 2 year old American Shorthair in Eden Prairie, MN, who needs $2,000 for ASP Perineal Urethrostomy (PU).
Eden Prairie, MN
Micah came into my life 2 years ago when he adopted me as his pet parent. He was a rescue from Texas. He has a sister named Maisy that joined us from a different rescue a few months later to round out our lives. They are my everything! Micah has a blocked bladder. His regular Vet has done everything she can to unblock him. He needs surgery after 4 attempts to unblock and stay unblocked. He is at Mission Animal Hospital in Eden Prairie, MN Micah quickly became my circus cat. He fetches his favorite little balls over and over as long as someone will keep throwing them. He climbs above my kitchen cabinets and finds the perfect little spot to rest before finding another adventure. He keeps his sister Maisy in shape with chasing games too. Besides being super active, he is the biggest snuggler. He sleeps right next to me every night. This situation came on very suddenly 6 days ago. He’s gone from one Emergency Vet to his regular vet Costing over $5K and I’ve exhausted my checking account and am now borrowing money from family. He is now at a hospital that can help him.

Liberty
Liberty is a 7 year old Cane Corso in Coon Rapids, MN, who needs $2,000 for Skin Tag Removal.
Coon Rapids, MN
Hello kind people, Woof! My name is Liberty, and I’m a lovable Cane Corso with a big heart. My mom, Jaylene, has been my best friend and caretaker since I was just a wee pup at 8 weeks old. I’m turning 8 this September, and up until recently, I’ve been a picture of health, joyfully bounding around and enjoying life to the fullest. Lately, I’ve had a bit of a hiccup. A tiny skin tag on my elbow has decided to grow into a bothersome lump filled with fluid. The vet reassures us it’s not terribly painful, but it does have a funky smell that make me want to lick and chew on it, which isn’t good for me. So, I need a little surgery to make it all better I love to stay at home in the yard and lay in the grass. I watch people walk by hoping to get a hi or pat on the head. I'm a big girl so not a lot of humansarent brave to approach. I love snacks and I eat fresh pet because my mom says I'm allergic to beef and chicken so I have to eat turkey. I love it. I have a big huge bear that I wiggle with and gets my energy out if you know what I mean. woof. My mom currently had to helped my grandma after she had a brain aneurysm so it hurt our income. She is having a hard time catching up now. She seems sad and I try to cheer her by licking her face but it hasn't worked much. Please help us.
