Lexi
Help Lexi Heal After Being Abandoned at Her Most Vulnerable 💔
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Lexi was found alone on the road after being abandoned by her former family at the moment she needed them most. A kind passerby couldn’t leave her there and brought her to safety. When Lexi arrived, she was paralyzed, severely malnourished, dehydrated, and in shock—both physically and emotionally. We don’t yet know what caused her paralysis, but it’s clear that this is why she was discarded. Now Lexi is safe with ACF Animal Rescue. She’s currently in our cattery, slowly adjusting to a life that looks nothing like the one she knew before. She’s confused, frightened, and trying to understand how everything changed so suddenly. Beneath her thick fur is a body that is all skin and bone. Her weakness is profound, and right now her care is focused on stabilizing her—rehydration, nutritional support, and carefully chosen supplements to help rebuild her strength. Once Lexi is stronger and ready, we plan to begin gentle physiotherapy. Our goal is to help her body regain as much sensation and mobility as possible, while supporting her comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Lexi may have been left behind, but she is not alone anymore. With your help, we can give her the care, love, and second chance she deserves. Thank you for standing with Lexi when she needs it most. 1/21/26 Update Lexi had been healing beautifully and adjusting remarkably well. Despite her paralysis, she showed incredible resilience—learning to navigate her world with growing confidence and trust. Sadly, she has now developed pneumonia. Right now, her condition fluctuates from day to day, but we’re encouraged to see that she is doing slightly better. Our team is cautiously hopeful that, with continued treatment and close monitoring, Lexi will pull through. She is a true sweetheart, and she continues to show us just how strong she is. Lexi still needs support. Her ongoing care, medications, and monitoring are critical to her recovery, and every donation—no matter the size—directly helps give her the best chance to heal. If you’re able to help, please consider donating or sharing Lexi’s campaign. Your kindness means everything to her right now.

Deepa
Deepa’s Wound Was Impossible to Ignore — Now She Needs Help to Fully Heal
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
Deepa has survived the streets her whole life, but nothing prepared her for the injury that brought her to us. When the Stray Animal Foundation of India rescue team found her, she had a deep, painful wound on her head — raw, exposed, and in urgent need of medical attention. Despite the discomfort and fear she must have been feeling, Deepa approached gently, as if she knew we were her only chance. Our team rushed her to the clinic, where veterinarians immediately began cleaning and treating her wound. She is now safe and receiving the care she desperately needs. But this is just the beginning of Deepa’s recovery. To fully understand the extent of her injury and protect her from complications, we must proceed with diagnostics to rule out fractures or underlying illness, continued wound care and cleaning, antibiotics and pain management and monitoring to ensure infection doesn’t spread. Deepa is sweet, trusting, and so patient with every treatment — as if she knows she’s finally in good hands. Now, she needs partners who believe in her healing just as much as we do. directly support Deepa’s diagnostics, medical care, and recovery. Every contribution helps ease her pain, protect her future, and give her the chance to return to life with comfort and dignity.

Duke
Tiny Duke Is Fighting for His Life — He Needs Us Now
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
At just 2 months old, Duke should be learning to play, explore, and feel safe in the world. Instead, this fragile puppy was found with a crushed back leg, alone and in unbearable pain. By the time the Stray Animal Foundation of India rescue team reached him, Duke had already lost a dangerous amount of blood. His gums were pale, his tiny body weak, and his breathing shallow. Tests confirmed the worst: Duke is severely anemic and cannot survive surgery without an immediate blood transfusion. Only after stabilizing him can our veterinarians perform the amputation that will save his life. This little pup is fighting with everything he has — but he cannot win this battle alone. Right now Duke urgently needs a life-saving blood transfusion, intensive stabilization and, monitoring, amputation surgery to remove the destroyed limb, pain management, antibiotics, and ongoing hospitalization. Despite everything he has endured, Duke still tries to lift his head when spoken to. There is a softness in him, a trust that somehow survived the trauma. Your donation will go directly toward Duke’s emergency treatment and surgery. Every contribution helps ease his suffering, restore his strength, and give him the future he deserves. Duke has already survived the unthinkable. With your help, he can survive and thrive.

Meenu
Meenu’s Pain Was Silent — But Impossible to Ignore
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
When the Stray Animal Foundation of India rescue team found Meenu, she was suffering in a way no animal ever should. A thick metal wire was embedded deep into her neck, cutting through skin and muscle. We don’t know how it happened — whether someone placed it intentionally or if she became trapped — but we do know one thing: Meenu had been in agony for months. Day after day, she carried this wire, unable to escape it, unable to cry out for help in a way anyone could understand. The wound was infected, raw, and dangerously close to becoming life-threatening. Our veterinarians acted immediately. They carefully removed the wire, treated the infected tissue, and began the long process of helping Meenu heal. She is now safe, receiving wound care, antibiotics, pain management, and the gentle rest she has been denied for far too long. But Meenu’s recovery is far from over. Her wound is deep, and she will need continued hospitalization, daily cleaning and dressing changes, medication, and monitoring to prevent further infection. Her body — and her spirit — deserve every chance to fully heal. Your donation will go directly toward Meenu’s ongoing medical care and recovery. Every gift, no matter the size, helps remove the last traces of her pain and guides her toward a future filled with comfort, safety, and love. Today, you can be her voice — and her healing. 1/17/26 Update After enduring months of unimaginable pain with a metal wire embedded deep in her neck, Meenu is now recovering really well. Since the wire was safely removed, her body has begun to heal, and the infection is responding to treatment. She continues to receive daily wound care, antibiotics, pain management, and close veterinary monitoring — and the improvement has been steady and reassuring. For the first time in a long while, Meenu is resting without constant agony. Her strength is returning, her wound is showing healthy signs of healing, and her gentle spirit is finally getting the chance to recover alongside her body. While this progress gives us hope, Meenu still needs ongoing medical care to ensure her wound fully heals and that no secondary infections develop. Continued hospitalization, medications, dressing changes, and follow-up care are essential to her recovery. 💛 Please consider donating today to support Meenu’s continued care. Every contribution goes directly toward her medical treatment and helps ensure that her recovery stays on track. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Meenu’s story is another powerful way to help. Thank you for giving Meenu the chance to heal and for being part of her journey from suffering to safety.

Aira
Rescued From Abuse: Help Aira Recover and Hold Abuser Accountable
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
Aira’s life changed in an instant. A kind neighbor witnessed a man brutally beating two tiny stray puppies in the street. Their cries echoed through the neighborhood — desperate, terrified, and pleading for help. Our Baw Baw rescue team rushed to the scene. One puppy managed to escape in fear, but we were able to save the other. That puppy is Aira. When we reached her, Aira was trembling in shock. Her back legs were limp, and she could barely move. Right now, she urgently needs X-rays, intensive veterinary care, and the quiet, gentle time required to recover from both physical trauma and emotional devastation. No puppy should ever go through what she endured. We helped the witness file a police report against the abuser, and we are committed to pursuing the case in court to ensure he receives the maximum punishment. Aira deserves justice — and a chance at a life filled with safety and compassion. But she cannot heal without help. Your donation will go directly toward Aira’s diagnostics, pain management, hospitalization, and ongoing treatment as we fight to help her walk again and learn that humans can be kind.

Kevin
Kevin Was Too Scared to Ask for Help… But We Heard Him
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Kevin was found in heartbreaking condition, wandering desperately in search of food while suffering from a severe and unexplained injury around his neck. We don’t know how he was hurt or what he endured before we found him — only that he had clearly been suffering for far too long, and no one had stepped forward to help him. When ACF Animal Rescue brought Kevin into safety, it was immediately clear that he was afraid of people. He kept his distance, stayed quiet, and curled into himself as if trying to disappear. Kevin is an introverted, gentle soul who has learned to survive by staying out of sight — and considering the state he was found in, we can’t blame him. But even in his fear, Kevin showed something remarkable: trust. He allowed our team to begin treatment on his painful neck injury. He let us clean his wounds and provide care. And slowly, day by day, his body began to relax in our presence. Kevin still prefers his own space, still moves carefully and cautiously, but he is healing — not just physically, but emotionally. Kevin’s recovery is just beginning, and he will need ongoing medical care, wound treatment, follow-up vet visits, and plenty of time in a stress-free environment to regain his strength and confidence. Kevin has survived so much on his own. Now he doesn’t have to survive alone. Please consider donating or sharing Kevin’s story. With your help, we can give this shy, gentle boy the chance to heal fully and begin a life where he is safe, loved, and finally understood.

Scully
A Brutal Eye Injury Nearly Broke Scully — You Can Help Him Heal
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Scully came into the care of ACF Animal Rescue in devastating condition. His face told a story of unimaginable pain — his eye had been severely injured, as if a sharp object had been taken to his face. It’s the kind of injury no animal should ever endure, and we can only guess how long he suffered before someone finally stepped in to help. When we first rescued him, Scully was terrified. Every movement made him flinch, every attempt to help him was met with fear. He wasn’t aggressive — just deeply wounded, confused, and expecting more harm. It took patience, gentleness, and time… but slowly, Scully began to let us in. With careful medical treatment, his eye and facial wounds are beginning to heal. He is eating and drinking well, and he’s finally feeling strong enough to relax without fear. And the most heartwarming change of all? Scully is starting to trust us. He’s even allowing gentle brushing — a huge step for a dog who once recoiled at every touch. Scully now spends his days resting comfortably in a small, quiet room where he feels safe for the first time in a very long time. He’s not ready for a busy environment yet, but he is healing — both physically and emotionally — at his own pace. His medical care is ongoing, and the treatment for his eye injury, pain management, follow-up vet visits, and continued rehabilitation come with significant costs. Scully has endured more than any animal should, but he’s finally beginning to believe that he is safe — and that people can be kind. Please consider donating or sharing Scully’s story. Together, we can help this brave boy continue healing and move toward the peaceful, loving future he deserves. 1/5/26 Update We are in awe of the incredible recovery Scully has had! He is healing so well and we are just so happy to have him and see him thriving. He is now full of life and trusting people again. He cannot stop wagging his tail. We still need funds to cover his medical care so far and as it continues. We appreciate everyone's support for this sweet guy! 1/20/26 Update Scully continues to amaze us with his recovery, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude and joy as we watch him thrive. His healing has been nothing short of miraculous. Not only is Scully recovering beautifully from his injuries, but the fear that once lived in his body is gone. He is comfortable, relaxed, and trusting — wagging his tail freely and greeting each day with a calm confidence we once could only hope for. Scully is loving the winter weather here, which has been the perfect balance for him — not too hot, not too cold. He spends his days soaking up the winter sun, resting peacefully, and finally enjoying the simple comfort of being safe. For the first time, he can truly relax. Most importantly, Scully is no longer in pain. Seeing him at ease, content, and living his best life is the greatest reward we could ask for after everything he has endured. We are deeply thankful to everyone who has supported Scully on his journey. His medical care is ongoing, and we still need help covering the costs of his treatment and recovery. Your continued support ensures that dogs like Scully not only survive—but get the chance to heal, trust again, and experience peace.

Alfie
Rescued From an Empty Water Tank — Alfie Needs Us Now
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
When the ACF Animal Rescue team found Alfie, he was in a terrifying and heartbreaking situation. Somehow — whether he fell or was pushed — Alfie ended up trapped in an empty, uncovered water tank with no way to escape. Skinny, exhausted, and terrified, he pressed himself against the wall, trying to make himself invisible. To make matters worse, children had been throwing stones at him while he was trapped, leaving him confused, frightened, and unsure if anyone in the world meant him kindness. We are incredibly grateful we found him when we did. Our team worked quickly to get Alfie out of the tank and into safety. He was understandably scared, unsure of people, and hesitant to trust — and we don’t blame him. After everything he’s endured, it will take time for his heart to heal. Now that Alfie is safe, he needs ongoing veterinary care, nutritious food, behavioral support, and time in a calm environment to help him fully recover — both physically and emotionally. Your donation will help Alfie continue healing and finally experience the love, security, and stability he was denied for so long. Please donate or share Alfie’s story today. Together, we can show him that compassion truly exists — and that his painful past is over for good. 1/20/26 Update We are so grateful to share that Alfie is doing really well. After being trapped in an uncovered water tank—terrified, emaciated, and treated with cruelty—Alfie has made remarkable progress. He has healed beautifully, and seeing him now feels nothing short of incredible. He’s wagging his tail, relaxed, and showing signs of real happiness as he settles into his forever home at our new sanctuary. But Alfie’s journey isn’t finished yet. While his healing has been amazing, his care is ongoing and costly. Alfie still needs continued veterinary monitoring, quality nutrition, behavioral support, and the stability of sanctuary care to ensure he never has to suffer again. These expenses add up quickly, and right now, we urgently need help covering the cost of his care. Please donate today to help pay for Alfie’s ongoing medical and sanctuary care. Your support goes directly toward ensuring he continues to heal—both physically and emotionally—and that his progress is never compromised due to lack of funds. 3/14/26 Update Alfie is doing incredibly well and truly thriving. These days he can’t stop smiling. His tail is always wagging, and he looks completely at peace. Seeing him so happy is almost hard to believe when we remember the terrified dog we first rescued. When the ACF Animal Rescue team found Alfie, he was trapped inside an empty water tank with no way to escape. He was skinny, exhausted, and terrified after enduring cruelty and having stones thrown at him while he was helpless. It was a heartbreaking scene, and Alfie had every reason in the world to fear people. But Alfie’s story did not end there. Today, he is a completely different little boy. With time, patience, and compassionate care, Alfie has healed both physically and emotionally. He now spends his days safe, relaxed, and surrounded by the kindness he was once denied. His transformation has been nothing short of incredible, and we are so grateful that he was given the chance to experience the life every dog deserves. Because of your support, Alfie is safe and happy — and his painful past is finally behind him. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping make Alfie’s second chance possible.

Luke
Meet Luke — A Brave Survivor Who Deserves a New Beginning
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
When Luke came into the care of ACF Animal Rescue, he was in the worst condition imaginable. Someone had thrown stones at him, leaving painful injuries across his body, and a rope was tied tightly around his neck — a heartbreaking sign of the cruelty he had endured. We don’t know how long he suffered or what he went through before someone finally helped him, but we do know this: Luke never should have had to survive any of it alone. The moment he arrived, our team acted quickly to treat his wounds, ease his pain, and show him the kindness he had been denied for far too long. In just two weeks, his transformation has begun — his wounds are healing beautifully, his spirit is lifting, and he is slowly gaining the strength he lost. With every passing day, he is learning that hands can be gentle, people can be safe, and life can be better than the world he came from. But Luke isn’t fully out of the woods yet. He still needs continued veterinary care, follow-up treatments, proper nutrition, and time to regain both his physical health and emotional trust. His recovery is well underway, but he can’t continue this journey without support. Luke has already survived the unthinkable. Let’s show him that he never has to face cruelty again. Please donate or share Luke’s story today — your kindness is the reason dogs like him get a second chance

Kael
Hit and Left Helpless — Help Kael Heal and Walk Again
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When rescuers from Baw Baw Animal Welfare found Kael, he was lying helpless on the street — weak, trembling, and unable to walk. Both his tiny legs were badly wounded. He was starving, dehydrated, and in such intense pain that he couldn’t even move to find food or shelter. The team rushed him to the hospital, where vets discovered just how serious his condition was. Kael’s reflexes were almost absent, and his coordination was so poor he couldn’t even hold his head steady. It was clear he had suffered severe trauma — possibly hit by a car or struck by someone. Despite it all, Kael tried to lift his head and wag his tail, as if to say, “Please don’t give up on me.” Now, Kael is receiving urgent treatment and round-the-clock care. His recovery plan includes antibiotics to prevent infection, steroids to reduce brain and spinal inflammation, and nerve-supportive vitamins to help restore his mobility. But this kind of care is expensive, and Baw Baw Animal Welfare depends entirely on compassionate supporters to fund lifesaving treatment for dogs like Kael. Every donation, no matter the size, helps cover Kael’s vet visits, medication, and rehabilitation so he can one day run and play like a healthy puppy again.

Sophia
Sophia is a 6 month old Mix-Breed in Topeka , KS, who needs $2,000 for Possible Surgery of Right Shoulder.
Topeka, KS
My name is Kelly Wasson, I have always loved animals and throughout my life have owned every pet you can imagine. Sophia is the baby of the five dogs my children and I currently own. Sophia is a 6 month old mix, she is the last and smallest of 8 puppies. She is mostly Australian Shepard, as well as Pitbull and Dalmatian. She is truly a heinz 57 baby. I remember when she was only 2 weeks old and just opening her beautiful brown eyes for the first time. All of these puppies were wobbling around the kiddie pool. In September 2025 I was hospitalized. At 46 years old I never expected. 3 months prior I took a job that paid 9 dollars more hourly, no travel, full time. The job was strenuous and required me to lift heavy objects above my head and ultimately what they believe caused it.

Atlas
Atlas is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $1,500 for wound care and treatment for mange.
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When Atlas was brought to Baw Baw Animal Welfare, his body bore the scars of immense suffering. A cruel snare had cut deep into his neck, and a painful wound spread across his back. Every cry of pain echoed the helplessness he must have felt for so long. Wounded, exhausted, and broken, Atlas wandered back and forth searching for relief that never came—until the day our team at Baw Baw Animal Welfare found him. Seeing him in such a heartbreaking state was devastating. No innocent soul should ever have to endure such pain. From the moment Atlas entered our care, we knew we had to fight for him. His wounds were cleaned, treated, and medicated. He was started on antibiotics, and after just a week, his breathing was stable, his wounds were healing, and treatment for mange was added to his care. He is gaining weight and responding positively to all treatments—a true testament to his resilience and will to survive. Atlas’s story is one of survival against cruelty, but now, with the love and care of Baw Baw Animal Welfare, he has a real chance at a future filled with safety, comfort, and kindness. Update 10/23/25 Atlas’s recovery is underway, and we’re beginning to see hopeful signs of healing. The painful wounds left by the heavy chain are slowly closing, though they’re still fresh and fragile. Our team is watching him closely, making sure he stays comfortable and cared for every step of the way. After everything he’s endured, Atlas finally knows what it feels like to be safe—and we’re determined to keep it that way.

20 Cats for TNVR
Please Support a Lifesaving Solution for Community Cats
Royal Palm Beach, FL • Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue
Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue is launching a TNVR (Trap–Neuter–Vaccinate–Return) program—one of the most effective and humane ways to manage community cat populations. Across the U.S., there are an estimated 60–100 million stray cats. Without intervention, they continue to reproduce, spreading disease, facing starvation, and overwhelming shelters. TNVR stops this cycle: it prevents overpopulation, improves cat health, reduces euthanasia rates, protects wildlife, and benefits entire communities. This rescue's volunteers donate their time, and their vets perform procedures pro bono—but they need your help to cover the surgery, medication, and equipment costs. Every dollar goes directly toward saving lives and creating a healthier future for both cats and people. 🐾 With your support, we can make a lasting difference. Please consider donating to help launch this critical program today and help improve the lives of these 20 cats. Thank you!

Tilt
Tilt is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Coconut Creek, FL, who needs $2,500 for Spay, URI and Ear Infection Treatment, Diagnostics.
Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club
Tilt was found huddled on someone’s porch in heartbreaking condition—more than half her fur was gone, her eyes and nose were crusted with thick green discharge, and she wobbled with a pronounced head tilt. Thankfully, she found herself under the care of Pumpkin's Rescue Club. We rushed her to the vet, where tests confirmed a severe upper respiratory infection and a painful ear infection. She began treatment right away, receiving multiple antibiotics, eye medications, and ear drops to help her start the long road to recovery. Sadly, her head tilt hasn’t improved and is likely permanent due to the time she went without care before being rescued. While it doesn’t cause her pain now, it’s a reminder of the struggles she endured before finding safety. Despite everything she’s been through, Tilt is incredibly loving. She flops over for belly rubs, seeks out human companionship, and charms everyone she meets. Her fur is slowly growing back, and she’s starting to look as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Tilt is safe and adored, but her medical bills have added up quickly. She still needs ongoing treatment to keep her comfortable and healthy. Your support will help us continue giving her the care she deserves. Update 9/9/25 Tilt went to the vet for a follow-up appointment today. She still has an active ear infection and is congested, so the vet wants to continue treatment for that for another 2 weeks and then see how she is doing. ** Update 10/11/25 ** Sweet Tilt has been receiving treatment for her upper respiratory infection, but despite everyone’s best efforts, she’s still struggling with significant congestion. Today, she’s back at the vet for a follow-up and additional diagnostics to help us understand what’s going on and how we can help her finally breathe easier. Tilt has been such a little fighter through all of this, and her foster family continues to give her all the love and care she needs. Thank you to everyone who’s been rooting for her recovery — your support makes it possible for us to keep getting her the medical care she deserves. We’ll share more updates soon as we learn what’s next for our brave girl.

Marshmellow
Marshmellow is a 10 month old Great Pyrenees in Sullivan, WI, who needs $2,000 for Tibia Repair.
Sullivan, WI
My daughter lost her heart hound in June of 2024. We quickly learned her love of dogs ran deep just like her mamas. By Thanksgiving we had talked Dad into letting us adopt a new fur baby. Leona saw a picture of "Bread" and was determined that was her dog. We went and picked her up from Felines and Canines in Chicago the Saturday after Thanksgiving. She has been loved everyday since. In May we brought home a big sister, due to a rehoming with the breeder of our previous heart hound. Marshmellow and Nessie instantly bonded. On the evening of Sunday July 6th, they were playing as usual when Mellow went to do a fake out. Nessie was standing on that back paw, as her body went the other way. Snap. She was rushed to VEG, then received surgery at UW Madison on 7/9. Marshmellow is a friend of anyone she meets. She likes to talk. She loves to snuggle. She loves her human brother and sister immensely. She loves walks, the dog park and food. We are really hoping she makes a full recovery. My husband has been self employed for almost 10 years. He found out he has arthritis in his ankle which has made getting on a ladder more difficult. He starts a new job in August and the transition time has been difficult.

Dax
From the Streets to Safety: Support Dax’s Recovery
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Dax once had a home, but sadly that chapter ended in heartbreak. His family abandoned him and left him to survive alone on the streets. With no one to protect him, Dax endured cruelty and neglect. He suffered multiple wounds, including a painful injury near his ear and another near his back hip. Thankfully, a call came into ACF Animal Rescue about Dax’s condition, and they didn’t hesitate to step in. Rescuers found a timid dog who avoided eye contact and was terrified. He was clearly used to being ignored or hurt. Despite everything, Dax allowed himself to be carried to safety, as if knowing he was finally going to be ok. Now safe with ACF Animal Rescue, Dax is now receiving the care and love he’s always deserved. His wounds are being treated, his pain is being managed, and for the first time in a long time, he’s being treated with kindness. Emotionally, he's still healing, but he’s starting to trust again. Bit by bit, his gentle spirit is reemerging, and he's learning to feel safe. Please consider donating to help Dax continue his journey to healing. Recovery takes time, resources, and love. With your support, we can give Dax the future he, like all animals, deserves.

Pax
Help Pax on His Path to Peace
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
When Pax was found on the streets in Karachi, he was in heartbreaking condition. His skin was covered in sores, caked with mud, and his face was so inflamed it was barely recognizable. He had almost completely shut down. It was clear this sweet soul had been suffering alone for far too long and had nearly given up. Thankfully, ACF Animal Rescue stepped in just in time. They rushed Pax to safety and immediately began evaluating his condition. The infection had spread worst across his face, leaving painful, crusted patches and open wounds. Vets believe it’s a severe fungal infection, and began treatment right away to give Pax the relief he so desperately needed. The photos shared were taken after Pax had already started to heal as the ones from his first moments in rescue were simply too graphic to show. But even in these, you can still see the toll his past took on him. What gives his caretakers hope is how quickly Pax’s personality is beginning to shine. He’s curious, gentle, and loves to “chat” with anyone who will talk back. Pax still has a long way to go, but thanks to your support, he’s no longer walking this journey alone. Please donate today to help continue his healing.

Momma Dog and Her Puppy
Help This Brave Momma and Her Puppy Heal and Feel Safe
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
A poor momma dog was spotted limping through traffic, her injured leg barely supporting her weight as she darted between cars in a panic. ACF Animal Rescue received an urgent call and rushed to help. They found her near a chai shop—frightened, limping, and trying to disappear into the noise of the street. Her leg was badly wounded, and no one knew what she had endured. She wouldn’t let anyone near, terrified and in pain. Not far behind her was her little puppy, just as scared and just as lost. Rescuers worked quickly and gently. They managed to catch both the mother and her pup. The puppy calmed almost instantly once at the shelter. As soon as he felt the warmth of a blanket under him, he curled up and sighed with relief. He accepted pets, love, and food with a quiet kind of gratitude, finally safe. The mama, though, was still in survival mode. She wouldn’t look at anyone, only ate when alone, and stood staring at the wall, frozen in fear. Her body is healing, but her spirit needs time. ACF Animal Rescue’s team is giving her the gentle care she deserves, with no rush and no pressure. Her puppy is blossoming in safety, and one day, she will too. Everything that once hurt them—hunger, fear, pain—is behind them now. They’re together, safe, and finally getting what every animal deserves: a soft place to land. Their rescue was just the beginning. Now comes the hard work of veterinary care, emotional rehabilitation, and daily support to help them fully recover. ACF is committed to their healing, but they can’t do it alone. Donations will help this little family get the fresh start they’ve been waiting for. They made it off the streets. Now they need your help to build a future.

Stella
Help Stella Heal from a Severe Head Injury
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Stella was found alone, injured, and in pain. Her head was badly wounded, the area around her ear raw and inflamed. The wound looked like a burn or abrasion, though the exact cause is unknown. What is clear is that she had been suffering for some time before someone found her and got her the help she needed. ACF Animal Rescue stepped in immediately to begin medical care and ensure she wouldn’t endure another day in pain. Upon intake, Stella was underweight and clearly uncomfortable. Her injury required prompt attention, including daily cleaning, antibiotic therapy, and pain management. The wound was deep and dangerously close to her ear canal, raising concerns about long-term tissue damage. She is currently undergoing regular wound therapy and is being closely monitored to ensure proper healing. Stella has handled her treatment with patience and resilience. Though she remains quiet and cautious, she allows wound care and seeks out gentle human contact during her recovery. Her appetite is improving, she’s gaining strength, and her condition is slowly stabilizing. With continued care, she has a strong chance of full recovery. ACF Animal Rescue is committed to providing Stella with everything she needs to heal, but ongoing treatment comes at a cost. Donations will directly support her medical care, medications, and supportive recovery. With your help, Stella can continue on the path to healing and finally leave this painful chapter behind.

Kara
Kara’s Second Chance
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Kara was found abandoned on the ACF Animal Rescue property. She was in heartbreaking condition—underweight, weak, and suffering from a terrible burn wound across her tail and rear. No one knows exactly what happened to her, but the pain she had endured was clear. Even in her fragile state, she tried to seek out comfort, as if she knew someone might still show her kindness. ACF Animal Rescue took her in without hesitation, determined to give her the safety and care she so desperately needed. Her wound was severe and required immediate medical attention. The team got to work treating her burns, managing her pain, and beginning the slow process of helping her body heal. Despite everything, Kara never lost her gentle spirit. She welcomed soft voices, leaned into gentle touches, and seemed to draw strength from the simple presence of people who cared. Now safe in rescue, Kara is making steady progress. Her wound is healing bit by bit, and she’s gaining weight and energy every day. What once was a frail, silent cat now has moments of playfulness and purring. She still has a ways to go needing continued wound care, nutritional support, and time to rebuild her strength, but she’s well on her way, surrounded by love. ACF Animal Rescue is committed to seeing Kara through her recovery, but they need help covering her medical bills. Donations of any size make a real difference for cats like Kara, who have survived so much yet remain full of heart. She’s safe now, but with your support, she can be truly whole again. Let’s help Kara leave pain behind and step fully into the life she deserves.

Teddy
Hit, Hurt, and Left Behind — But You Can Change the Ending
Mae Rim, CA • Hand to Paw Foundation
Just days ago, Teddy was the victim of a devastating hit and run on the streets of Thailand, right near a busy bus stop. A kind passerby saw the accident unfold — the tiny puppy thrown to the ground and left there, crying and unable to move. She was heartbroken but on her way to work and hoped someone else would stop to help. But when she returned on her lunch break, Teddy was still there, in the same spot, crying out in pain. No one had stopped. No one had helped. She rushed him to safety and did everything she could, but quickly realized his injuries were too severe for her to manage alone. That’s when she reached out to Hand to Paw Foundation. Teddy’s injuries are serious: - A broken shoulder - A fractured back leg - And dangerously low red blood cell levels (anemia), making him too fragile for immediate surgery. He’s currently in the hospital, receiving around-the-clock care to stabilize him before surgery can even begin. His little body is fighting hard — and the good news is, with proper treatment, his prognosis is strong. Hand to Paw Foundation is a small nonprofit that provides care and rescue to the street animals of Thailand. Please help them give Teddy the bright future he deserves.

Betsy
Abandoned for Being Sick—Help Betsy Feel Comfortable in Her Skin Again
Mae Rim, CA • Hand to Paw Foundation
Eight months ago, sweet Betsy’s world was turned upside down. She was abandoned on the streets of Thailand by the very person who once promised to love and protect her. The reason? Her painful and persistent skin condition became too much for her owner to handle. Alone and confused, Betsy was left to suffer—itching, scratching, and slowly losing hope. But then, a kind-hearted neighbor saw her suffering and couldn’t turn away. With no resources, he did what he could, treating her with local herbs and homemade remedies. It wasn’t enough, but it was love. He did everything he could, but Betsy needed more help. When Hand to Paw met Betsy, she was covered in raw, irritated patches of skin and clearly in distress from the constant itch. Her tail wagged nervously, as if afraid to believe someone might finally help. Hand to Paw started her on proper veterinary care, but Betsy’s journey to healing is just beginning. To fully recover, Betsy will need long-term allergy medications, medicated baths, regular check-ups, and ongoing support to ensure she never goes through this kind of suffering again. Please donate today and be part of Betsy’s healing journey.

Jasper
Will You Help Jasper Get Dental Surgery & Neutered?
Austin, TX • Reunion Rescue
Jasper was on the euthanasia list and taken out for his last day by a kind volunteer. When she posted a video about it, Reunion Rescue saw it and couldn’t get him out of their head. His video struck the caretakers at Reunion Rescue profoundly because of how quiet and gentle he was as he was being bathed his last day before being euthanized. They decided to take a leap of faith and pulled him. They were surprised when three people offered to foster him on SF Nextdoor. He was noted to have a UTI at the boarding facility while awaiting transport and the foster family immediately contacted the rescue about his dental situation. He had multiple loose teeth, infected and bleeding gums and was experiencing great pain. However, he is a trouper and the gentlest, sweetest soul despite the suffering from neglect. He has since had his dental surgery. His foster family saw him through major surgery and now recovery. Reunion Rescue is a 501(c)3 non profit founded in San Francisco, 1999. No one takes a salary and in fact, the director spends her social security check each month to care for the animals here in the refuge. Jasper's surgery came at no small cost. Will you please help Reunion Rescue pay for his much-needed dental surgery, getting neutered that he will need soon, and his aftercare on his road to recovery? They can't do it without you! Thank you for your continued support.

Aili
Aili is a 9 year old Australian Cattle Dog in Madison, WI, who needs $2,000 for Acute Liver Injury with Critical Care in ICU.
Madison, WI
In February 2016 I saw a floppy eared, black puppy from K9’s 4U named Hather. When I picked her up in Illinois from a family fostering her, their giant hounds were flinging her in the air as play. She loved it and was perfect. When we arrived home to Madison, her nickname was Little Lady until I decided a name for her. I looked up a list of German names and chose Aili. We live with a cat, Mishi. Aili was admitted on Thursday, May 15th after over 2 months of declining health. She is in the ICU at UW seeing Dr.Braman who is treating her for acute liver injury, mouth and rectal ulcers, and muscle wasting caused by neuromuscular degeneration. She has an NG tube and a jugular IV for plasma transfusions. With our ongoing search for a diagnosis, her stay will include CT/MRI scans and 3 biopsies. Some of Aili’s favorite things include a crusty green frog, her Auntie Katie, hikes with Poppy, and being outside. She’s extremely friendly, loves being around people and all animals, is personable, is excited for visitors, and will take any opportunity to press her cheek to your face for 1000 kisses. Her love for the outdoors is infectious, leading to countless memories though every season. I work full time, am a grad student, and live alone on a single income. I have spent my savings on our testing so far and have reached my limit. The doctor is hopeful for full recovery, and to have Aili home means that I will continue to have adventures with my best friend.

Pikachu
Pikachu is a 6 year old Shih Tzu in San Francisco , CA, who needs $1,000 for Teeth Extractions & Lump Removal.
San Francisco, CA
I adopted Pikachu from a friend because her toddler is allergic to dogs. From the first day I fell in love with Pika (her nickname). At first when she came to me she seemed scared, but it didn’t take long for her to feel comfortable and be part of the family. Pika needs surgery, she has a lump in one of her ears, and also gingivitis and will need to have some teeth extracted, they won’t know how bad the gingivitis is until they do the X-rays. The name of the vet clinic is Vets in Vans, the name of the doctor is Tracy Huang. Pika has a sweet disposition, she gets along with my other dog Toby, that I’ve had for eight years. She’s very friendly with people, and gets along with my roommate. She sleeps in her bed in my bedroom; she loves the outdoors, so I take her on daily walks and to the park at least once a week. I love Pika very much and she is very attached to me. She’s my devoted constant shadow. I am a retired senior, and live off my social security benefits. This is an unexpected expense that would put me on a financial strain. It would mean a lot to have Pika healthy again so that we can enjoy many years together. She is my companion and she means a lot to me.

Poppet’s Rescue: From the Cold Streets to Warm Hearts
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
ACF Animal Rescue received an urgent call from someone who had seen a cat, injured and helpless, near the roadside after being hit. The rescue team rushed to the location, bracing themselves for the heartbreaking search ahead. They searched for what felt like hours, scanning every corner, every shadow, hoping to find her. But she was nowhere to be seen. Just as they were about to lose hope, she found them. The team scooped her up and rushed her to safety, their hands gentle as they cleaned her wounds and wrapped her in warmth. They named her Poppet, a name as sweet as her spirit. Once inside the shelter, she discovered something she had likely never known before: comfort. The moment she found the heater, she curled up beside it, pressing her tiny paws into the blankets, making biscuits. Now, Poppet is on the road to recovery, but she needs your help. Her injuries left her with little use of her back legs. She requires rehabilitation, medical care, and continued support to ensure she can live a happy, pain-free life. Despite everything she has been through, she has the softest soul—she spends her days lounging and napping with puppies, gaining weight, and learning that love is all around her. Poppet has come so far, but she still has a long way to go. With your kindness, she can receive the care she needs to heal. Raksha
A Little Puppy, A Big Fight: Help Raksha Heal from Her Severe Injuries
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
Meet Raksha, a tiny street puppy found in heartbreaking conditions on the busy streets of India. She was discovered with painful wounds and a severe fracture, likely caused by being run over by a vehicle. Despite her traumatic experience, Raksha still holds on to the hope of a better future, thanks to the tireless efforts of the Stray Animal Foundation of India. An x-ray revealed the extent of her injuries — a fracture that requires strict rest and care. As she is still very young, the veterinarians have placed her in a bandage and prescribed strict cage rest to ensure she doesn’t injure herself further. While there is hope she will heal with time and patience, there is a possibility that surgery may be necessary if her condition doesn’t improve. Raksha is still very fragile. She is fighting against the odds, but we can’t let her fight alone. Your contribution will directly support Raksha’s treatment, including: ongoing medical care, x-rays, and any necessary surgeries, pain management and wound care, a safe and comfortable space to recover during her strict cage rest, and food and hydration to keep her strong as she heals. Please consider donating and being a part of Raksha's healing journey. You can help her get the medical attention she needs, so she can run and play without pain again. Update 5/8/25: Thanks to emergency veterinary care, weeks of treatment, and a lot of love, Raksha’s wounds have healed and her leg is no longer broken. She will always have scars — both visible and invisible — that tell the story of what she’s survived. But what’s most remarkable is this: Raksha's spirit was never broken. Despite everything she endured, Raksha remains playful, affectionate, and full of life. Her tail wags at the slightest attention. She chases butterflies. She cuddles with her rescuers. She lives — with joy and gratitude and hope. Raksha’s medical bills, rehabilitation, and ongoing care have been significant. Donate today to be part of Raksha’s journey from abandoned to adored. Together, we can show her that her life matters — and that kindness can rewrite even the saddest story.

Einstein
Help Einstein on His Road to Recovery
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Einstein was just a small cat trying to survive on the busy streets of Pakistan. He was skinny and weak, searching for food wherever he could. But instead of finding a meal, he found glass, injuring his mouth. His eyes were swollen from infection, making it hard for him to see, and he moved unsteadily, showing signs of a neurological issue that needs further care. Even with all these struggles, Einstein never gave up. He kept going, hoping to find a little kindness somewhere. And his hope paid off when ACF Animal Rescue found him. They brought him to safety, cleaned his wounds, and gave him his first proper meal in who knows how long. After he ate, they placed him by a heater to warm up. For the first time in days, Einstein felt safe. He twirled around, gently bumping his head against the hands that pet him, asking for more love. Even after everything he’d been through, Einstein’s heart was full of hope and affection. Now, he needs more help to continue his journey to recovery. Einstein requires: - Treatment for his mouth injuries so he can eat comfortably again - Medication for his eye infections to save his sight - Neurological testing and care to help him walk and play like other cats Einstein’s story is one of resilience and hope. With your support, he can heal and always feel safe and warm. Please consider donating today to help Einstein on his road to recovery. Every little bit makes a big difference. Thank you for giving Einstein a second chance.

Scruff
Scruff's Second Chance: Help Heal His Heart
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Scruff was found in heartbreaking condition. Tied to a rock with a leash so short he could barely move, his tiny body was emaciated, starved, and severely dehydrated. His collar was so tight it dug into his neck, making each breath a struggle. Matted fur clung to his frail frame, infested with fleas, dirt, and ticks, a upsetting testament to the neglect he had endured. ACF Animal Rescue found Scruff just in time. They gently freed him from his restraints and rushed him to safety. With a soothing bath and much-needed grooming, Scruff began to transform. Underneath the grime and tangles was a beautiful dog, full of life and gratitude. His tail wagged, his eyes brightened, and for the first time in a long while, he felt safe and loved. Yet, Scruff’s journey to recovery is far from over. A thorough medical examination revealed heartbreaking news. Scruff has an enlarged heart, likely due to the immense stress and malnutrition he suffered. He also has a serious liver infection, and his body is struggling from prolonged starvation, causing internal issues that need urgent medical attention. Despite it all, Scruff remains resilient, showering everyone around him with affection and hope. He wants to live, to play, to love, and to be loved. Bailey
Help Bailey Heal: From the Streets of Thailand to a Safe, Happy Life
Mae Rim, CA • Hand to Paw Foundation
Bailey is a gentle street dog from Thailand who was found in a heartbreaking condition. He had suffered severe trauma to his head and eye, and the local villagers initially thought it was caused by a bullet wound. Upon further examination, it was discovered that his injuries were the result of scalding water. The wounds were so severe that without immediate care, Bailey wouldn't have survived. Thankfully, Hand to Paw stepped in to provide him with a safe foster home where he could heal. They even built him a special enclosure to help him feel secure while he adjusts to his new life. Bailey is understandably shy and timid after everything he has been through, and his enclosure offers him the comfort and safety he needs during this time. One of his most difficult injuries is the damage to his left eye, where the skin was completely burned off. Without the ability to blink, Bailey faces constant risk of dry eye and painful ulcers, so the only option for him is eye removal. However, his skin is too fragile for surgery just yet, and we are giving him a few months to strengthen before that step can be taken. Bailey is a sweet, resilient soul, and he deserves the chance to live a happy, pain-free life. Thank you for joining us in helping this beautiful soul find peace and happiness.

Alden
Alden is a 9 year old Miniature Schnauzer in Daly City, CA, who needs $2,000 for Dental Surgery for Stage 4 Periodontal Disease.
Daly City, CA
Alden and his adoptive brother, Bentley, originally belonged to relatives who were not taking good care of them. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I began looking after them when I realized they needed to be better cared for. I did my best to get them back to good health but I believe the years of neglect already did damage. After taking Alden to the vet for a sudden nose bleed, I learned he has a heart murmur and stage 4 periodontal disease. The vet said he needs dental surgery. The estimate they gave was $6000. His gums have become very inflamed and he's having a hard time sleeping, so he's always licking a blanket to soothe himself. Vets in Vans said they would do it for half the cost which I'm grateful for. Alden is a small dog with a big personality. He's really scared around strangers at first but he's the sweetest dog when he knows you. He loves to cuddle and would get belly rubs every second of every day if he could. He loves car rides, adventures, and playing tag. Even though he's 9 years old, he still acts like a baby and just wants to be loved as much as he gives love. I want to get Alden the medical care he needs so I can stop his pain and give him a chance for a longer life. I can't afford his surgery as I'm currently trying to get back on my feet. I'd really appreciate any contribution for him. My dogs are all I have. Thank you.

Asya
From Cruelty to Compassion: Join Asya’s Healing Journey
Norwood, MA • Big Little Life Animal Rescue International
At just six months old, Asya has already faced unimaginable cruelty. A local woman, hearing her cries, followed the sound and discovered a man brutally beating Asya. When the man saw he was being watched, he fled, leaving Asya behind. The Good Samaritan quickly rushed her to a nearby veterinary clinic. However, in rural Russia, resources are scarce, and the clinic could only provide limited care. That’s when Big Little Life Animal Rescue International stepped in. They transferred Asya to a clinic with the resources to treat her severe injuries. She arrived unconscious, with her head and eyes swollen and bruised. X-rays revealed a bullet lodged in her front leg, adding to her already extensive trauma. Asya was immediately placed in intensive care. After two agonizing days, Asya opened her eyes. Though disoriented, she was able to be syringe-fed — a small but significant victory that shows her fighting spirit. Asya is a fighter, and Big Little Life is committed to giving her every chance to heal and recover. With your help, we can provide the care she needs to overcome this brutal past and live a life filled with love and safety.

Aspen
A Friend’s Loyalty, a Lifeline for Aspen
Norwood, MA • Big Little Life Animal Rescue International
Big Little Life Animal Rescue found Aspen laying in the middle of the road. She had been struck by a car, her body broken, her cries for help unheard by the crowd around her. But Aspen wasn’t truly alone. Reks, a brave and loyal dog, was by her side. Despite his own injuries—his ear torn, his leg limping—Reks stayed with Aspen, never leaving her, protecting her in her moment of greatest need. Big Little Life rushed Aspen to the vet where they received bad news. Aspen’s hip is broken. She needs immediate surgery—femoral head ostectomy (FHO)—to have any chance of walking without pain. The cost of the surgery alone is around $1,000, but it’s her only option to heal and live a life free of suffering. Right now, both Aspen and Reks are safe at the shelter. Aspen is being cared for and is receiving pain management injections to reduce swelling. As of now, Aspen cannot stand. She drags herself around, even making the effort to go outside when needed. She’s incredibly strong, but she needs rest, care, and the surgery to give her a shot at walking again. Thankfully, Reks was lucky. His injuries—bruised leg and torn ear—are minor, and after some treatment, he’s on the road to recovery. But it’s Aspen who needs us now. Together, we can give Aspen a second chance at life. Let’s show Aspen and Reks that they are not alone. Update 2/11/25: Aspen has made it to Moscow, and is about to go into surgery. The doctor examined her and found that she either has a uterine injury or is in heat. Depending on what they find, she may be spayed during the operation. Then came another call from the surgeon. The fracture isn’t just a simple break—it’s a comminuted fracture, which means the bone is broken into multiple pieces. The surgery will be longer and more complicated than we had expect and the initial estimate didn’t fully reflect the extent of her injuries. She’ll need at least a few days in the clinic to recover before moving to medical boarding. This is so much more than we expected, but Aspen has no choice—she needs this and we will do whatever she needs to heal. Update 2/13/25: Aspen’s surgery went well, and she came out of anesthesia safely. The procedure lasted four hours due to the severity of her fractures. A long screw was placed in her pelvis, and in about 1.5 months—possibly sooner, depending on her progress—it will need to be removed. Her next check-up in two weeks will help determine the timing. Aspen is eating and drinking, but she remains in a lot of pain. The clinic wants to keep her at least until Friday. She is on constant pain relief and has a catheter because standing up and urinating on her own is too painful right now. There’s also a big concern about her neurological condition. She folds one of the hind legs under and with her toes curled. It’s too early to say what this means for her long-term recovery, so we’ll have to monitor her closely and see how things develop. She has a tough climb ahead, but she’s getting the best care possible. If you’d like to help her through this recovery, we would be beyond grateful. Every bit of support makes a difference. Update 2/14/25: Aspen is out of ICU! She no longer needs intensive care, so today she was discharged from the hospital and moved to medical boarding. She spent a day in the therapy unit after surgery, and now her condition is stable. Her bloodwork looks mostly good, though her white blood cell count is slightly elevated—nothing unexpected after such a major procedure. She was sent with a treatment plan and medications, and we’ll be back for a follow-up with the surgeon and another X-ray at end of February. Now begins the long part—recovery. After surgeries like this, dogs need time for the bone to heal and the body to adjust. At first, movement is very limited to avoid putting stress on the repaired area. Too much too soon, and the screws can shift—that’s the worst-case scenario. So, for now, she’ll be resting a lot, with careful pain management and support. Once we get the all-clear from the surgeon, we can slowly start helping her build strength again. She’s been through a lot, but she's safe, she’s cared for, and we are so relieved to have her in a place where she can heal properly. Update 2/17/25: Aspen is healing, and she’s making sure we all know she has opinions about it. She’s being quite capricious—refusing oral medications, so we have to give injections instead, which she loudly protests and demands being fed canned food by hand. She drinks a lot and she’s moving around more confidently—though that one paw is still not quite right. Her belly, which had sagged from the fracture, is starting to tighten up again. The wound is draining, which is actually a good thing. Slowly but surely, she’s moving forward. We’ll need to see a neurologist later to understand what’s going on with her paw, but for now, we’re focused on her recovery. Update 2/25/25: Aspen is making steady progress! We’ve been draining less and less fluid each day, and the swelling is going down. Her freshly shaved back is already sprouting little hairs—she’s clearly determined to grow her fluff back. She’s walking much more confidently, though that one paw still gets a bit tangled now and then. Big milestone—no more accidents! She’s going out over eight times a day, but until yesterday, she still had little mishaps. Yesterday was her first completely dry day, and we’re celebrating this victory! Today, we went for a follow-up X-ray, and the doctor was happy with how everything is healing. Aspen, however, took the car ride as an opportunity to sneakily lick her stitches—so she’s still on probation when it comes to making good choices. Aspen is not just brave—she’s the sweetest soul. She adores people, and she’s just as lovely with other dogs—no drama, just warmth and easy companionship. She's not a fan of the vet though - you should see how quickly she "ran" to the car when we were done, bad leg and all! For a dog who's still healing, she sure knows how to make a quick exit when freedom calls. Rehabilitation is just around the corner, and thanks to you, she’ll get every chance to fully heal. Every step she takes, every moment of comfort she feels, is because of the love and generosity surrounding her. We’re beyond grateful for your support—Aspen wouldn’t be here without you. Update 3/10/25: Aspen is getting stronger every day! She’s walking so much better now, and her fur is starting to grow back where she was shaved for surgery—just a little fluff, but it’s a start! She has a follow-up surgery appointment scheduled for the 25th to remove some of the bone-supporting pins. They’ve done their job, but now they’re just getting in her way. Once they’re out, she should move even more easily! This procedure won’t be nearly as complicated as the first one, and she’s feeling great, which is amazing!

From Highway Tragedy to Hope: Help Savannah in Russia Heal
Norwood, MA • Big Little Life Animal Rescue International
It’s impossible to imagine the kind of suffering Savannah has endured. Her life, which led to her being left in the middle of a busy highway, lying there for over 24 hours, is a tragic reflection of the cruelty and neglect that no living being should ever experience. Cars sped past her, some even passing over her lifeless body, yet she fought to survive. A few days ago, Savannah underwent emergency surgery and a leg amputation to save her life. Thanks to the amazing team working tirelessly to care for her, Savannah is making small but crucial improvements. She is a little more active, eating again, and most importantly, the vomiting that plagued her has stopped. But there’s still so much more to be done. There’s a serious concern with her second leg—it's been badly damaged, both the bone and the joint. The bone is thin and worn down, and the joint is dislocated. While there is a chance that surgery could stabilize the joint, even with a skilled procedure, Savannah may never fully regain the use of this leg. The road ahead will be difficult, and rehabilitation will be a challenging process. But we can’t do it alone. Savannah needs your help to keep fighting. Every day is a battle for her—against pain, fear, and the aftermath of what she’s been through. Donate today and be a part of Savannah’s incredible journey toward recovery. 12/20/24: Savannah’s repaired front leg is healing so slowly it’s hard not to worry. She can’t use it at all yet. The surgeon says the bones are starting to fuse, but the damage caused by all that time without help—dirt in the wound and displaced bones— made everything so much harder. And then there are the other wounds—the ones on her face and shoulder. They’re deep, raw, and slow to close. The metal rod stabilizing her leg is large and positioned at a joint, which isn’t a comfortable spot, but without it, the bones wouldn’t stand a chance of healing. We have to wait three more weeks to see if progress continues, and we’re holding our breath until then. Savannah has an incredible heart which makes it even more heartbreaking seeing her struggles. Even now, when everything must hurt so much, she allows the treatments without protest and even manages to lick people's faces while they clean her wounds. Right now, all that matters is saving her leg and giving her a chance to heal. It’s going to take time, and it’s going to take help, but she’s worth every second and every ounce of effort. Thank you for caring about her.
