Maple
Maple is a 3 year old Golden Retriever in Douglassville, PA, who needs $22,000 for Total Hip Replacement.
Douglassville, PA
Our 3 year old golden girl finally escaped “apartment dog” life, other than this newly discovered hip dysplasia— she aways receives a bill of clean health from the vet! Thanks to a backyard breeder posing as reputable— we now have to travel out of state to Skylos Sports Medicine, for a total hip replacement. She has been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia, along with a dislocated socket, and the other side hanging on by a thread. Despite this, she is my healthy baby girl. A lover of snow zoomies, climbing rocks, and chasing groundhogs— Maple’s freshly diagnosed severe hip dysplasia will soon say goodbye to those activities. I love this dog so much I wrote a song about her. Her cuddles, lower teeth that stick out like an Orc, and goofy growl when she retrieves her Frisbee. (Or as I call it, “fribee”. She is my perfect weirdo!! Maple now has a house with a sprawling backyard. Sounds like the dream right? Due to lacking in the crystal ball department, I was not prepared to face the $22,000+ in surgery bills. I am a wreck. I suffer from severe allergy eczema, turns out she is suffering too.

Bo
Help Bo Heal From Unimaginable Cruelty
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Bo came to us after surviving a brutal attack — her head had been pelted with stones while she was held down and beaten. When she arrived at ACF Animal Rescue, her entire head was a mass of open, bleeding wounds. She was trembling, terrified, and in shock. Her eyes darted around in confusion, trying to make sense of where she was. A kind stranger found her and brought her to our gate — and that simple act of compassion may have saved her life. Bo was severely malnourished, dehydrated, and weak. Her wounds were badly infected, and we weren’t sure she would survive those first critical days. Every movement made her flinch; her body was locked in fear and pain. But slowly, Bo’s story is turning toward hope. Today, there’s a gentle wag in her tail. She’s beginning to trust the people caring for her and shows small, beautiful signs of healing — a quiet stretch, a soft sigh, a blink that says, “I’m safe now.” Bo prefers the safety of her cozy cage, curling up on her blanket and stepping out only when she’s ready. On the streets, there’s no shelter, no protection, no kindness. Here, for the first time, she has all three. At ACF, we’re giving Bo the medical care, protection, and patience she needs to heal — both inside and out.

Correy
Help Correy Heal — After Surviving So Much, He Deserves a Second Chance
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Correy was found abandoned — left to fend for himself on the streets with no food, no protection, and no one to care for him. When he arrived at ACF Animal Rescue, his frail body told the story of his suffering. He had open wounds, was dangerously dehydrated, burning with fever, and so malnourished that he could barely stand. We don’t know how long Correy had to survive on his own, but it must have been a long and painful time. His eyes carry both fear and exhaustion — the kind that comes from fighting too hard for too long. Right now, Correy is finally safe in our care. He’s under close monitoring and treatment, receiving fluids, medication, nutrition, and all the gentle love he’s been missing for so long. He’s still very weak, but every small meal, every soft blanket, and every kind hand is helping him heal a little more each day. Correy’s fight isn’t over yet — but now, he doesn’t have to fight alone. Your support will help cover his medical care and continued treatment as we give him the chance to recover and know what it feels like to be loved. Please donate today to help Correy keep fighting for the future he deserves.

Samuel
Samuel’s Head Wound Is Badly Infected—He Needs Urgent Care
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
When Samuel arrived at ACF's rescue gate, their hearts broke. He was trembling with fear, dehydrated, burning with fever—and suffering from a massive, infected wound on his head. It was clear this poor boy had been in agony for far too long. Despite everything, Samuel’s eyes told us something powerful: he hadn’t given up on people. Even in his weakest moments, his tail gave the faintest wag—a small spark of hope that someone still cared. We could tell Samuel had once been someone’s beloved pet. Somewhere along the way, he was abandoned—possibly because his injury required care his owners didn’t want to provide. Left alone, he endured pain no animal should ever experience. Samuel is finally safe now, but his healing journey is far from over. His wound still needs regular cleanings, his body relies on daily medications, and time is the only thing that can truly mend what he’s been through. But he’s fighting—slowly, steadily, bravely. With every gentle touch, every meal, and every bandage change, he’s healing—not just physically, but emotionally too. His wound is beginning to close, his fever has broken, and that hesitant tail wag is becoming a little stronger each day. Now, he needs you to help him finish his journey to recovery. Your donation today will help cover Samuel’s ongoing medical care and bring him the comfort he needs to fully heal. Please, consider helping this resilient boy today. Update 12/4/25 Sweet Samuel has been giving everything he has to recover—but these past few days have been especially hard on him. Despite the gentle care, the medicine, the cleanings, and the love he’s surrounded with, Samuel is slowing down. He’s become more lethargic, and his body is clearly struggling to keep up with the demands of healing such a massive and deeply infected wound. Our team is doing everything in their power to support him, but his condition is now critical. Even so, Samuel keeps trying. There’s still that spark in him—a quiet hope that pushes him to hold on. Every time he lifts his head or gives the smallest wag of his tail, it reminds us just how much he wants to stay, to keep fighting, to feel safe and loved again. But he cannot do this alone. Please keep Samuel in your thoughts—and, if you can, donate to help us continue the critical care he needs right now.

Finn
Severely Malnourished and Dehydrated, Finn Is Fighting to Stay Alive
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
When kind strangers found little Finn wandering alone, they knew he wouldn’t survive much longer on his own. They brought him to our rescue gate — a trembling, fragile ball of fur who looked more like a stuffed toy than a real puppy. Underneath that fluffy coat, Finn was severely dehydrated and malnourished. His tiny heart pounded with fear, and he was so stressed that he couldn’t even bring himself to drink water. We had to gently coax him, drop by drop, to help him stay alive. No one knows how long Finn struggled on the streets — hungry, scared, and completely alone. What we do know is that he finally has a chance. With urgent veterinary care, proper nutrition, and time to heal, this terrified little soul can learn to trust again. Please donate today to help Finn recover and feel safe in the world again. Every gift — big or small — helps us give him the love and care he’s been missing for far too long. Update 11/4/25 Sweet little Finn continues to fight for his life, and we’re doing everything we can to help him pull through. When he was rescued, we knew he was in bad shape — but we’ve since learned just how serious his condition really is. Finn is extremely anemic after being covered in fleas that drained much of his tiny body’s blood. On top of that, our vet discovered a critical liver condition that requires intensive treatment and monitoring. He’s also severely malnourished, likely from trying to survive on scraps and never being properly weaned from his mother. Despite everything, Finn is holding on. He’s receiving fluids, specialized nutrition, and around-the-clock care from our team and his veterinarians. We’re taking things hour by hour, giving him every chance possible to recover. Please keep this little one in your thoughts as we continue to fight alongside him. Every bit of love and support truly matters right now.

Blacky
Blacky is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $2,000 for treatment for skin condition and malnutrition.
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When rescuers from Baw Baw Animal Welfare found Blacky, his condition broke our hearts. His body was covered in painful wounds, his fur almost completely gone. Weak, starving, and exhausted, Blacky had been wandering the streets — rejected and ignored by everyone who saw him. People turned away because of how he looked, but all he ever wanted was a gentle hand and a little kindness. We refused to look away. Our team rescued Blacky and rushed him into care. After thorough testing, we ruled out mange, hypothyroidism, and distemper. The most likely cause of his severe hair loss and poor skin condition is a fungal infection — one that’s left him raw, itchy, and deeply uncomfortable. Blacky has now started antifungal treatment, including oral medication and nutritional supplements to help his body heal from the inside out. Despite everything he’s endured, this brave boy is gentle, affectionate, and already showing small signs of hope. But recovery will take time — and continued medical support. Your donation can help cover the cost of his ongoing treatments, medication, and proper nutrition so that one day soon, Blacky can wag his tail without pain and grow back his beautiful coat.

Lenny
Lenny is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $2,000 for treatment for tick fever and enucleation.
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When rescuers from Baw Baw Animal Welfare first found Lenny, the sight was almost too painful to bear. Both of his eyes had been pushed out of their sockets — a level of cruelty and suffering no animal should ever experience. He was blind, weak, and in excruciating pain, unable even to stand. Near his ear, a deep wound was infested with maggots — evidence that he had been left to suffer alone for days. At the veterinary clinic, Lenny’s bloodwork revealed the extent of his condition: a dangerously high white blood cell count indicating a severe infection, anemia from prolonged illness, and a tick-borne blood parasite called Babesiosis. The medical team immediately began treatment for infection and tick fever, and he is now under continuous monitoring. Thanks to their care, Lenny is starting to stabilize — but he still faces a long road ahead. Once he is strong enough, he will need a delicate enucleation surgery to remove both damaged eyes and finally end his pain. Lenny’s courage and will to live are extraordinary. After all he’s endured, he deserves a second chance — one filled with safety, love, and comfort instead of suffering.

Penny
Penny is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Austin, TX, who needs $400 for treatment for skin infection.
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
When rescuers from ACF Animal Rescue found Penny, she was just a baby herself — a frightened young dog who had already become a mother. She had given birth in a small sewer in the middle of the city, desperately trying to protect her newborn pups. Every time someone walked by, she barked in fear, doing everything she could to keep her babies safe. But people misunderstood her cries for help. They saw a “dangerous” dog instead of a terrified mom. Some even tried to kill her, not realizing that behind the barking was pure love and desperation — a little girl fighting for her family’s life. When our team arrived, we found a trembling, exhausted puppy, crying softly in fear. The moment we spoke gently to her, she stopped shaking and let us lift her into safety — no net, no struggle. Just trust. We discovered that she had a skin infection from living in the trash for so long and we will need to treat that. Now, Penny is safe at the shelter. Her body is healing, her puppies are thriving, and she’s finally learning what it feels like to be cared for, not feared. But she still needs your help to continue her recovery and receive full medical treatment.

Rex
Rex is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $1,000 for TVT treatment, wound healing, jaw surgery.
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When Baw Baw Animal Welfare found him, Rex was lying on the street in excruciating pain after a terrible accident. His eye had protruded, his jaw and upper facial bones were fractured, and he was bleeding, unable to eat or drink. His cries of agony were heartbreaking. Alone and suffering, he had no one—until we reached him. As if this wasn’t enough, Rex had also been battling TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumor), a contagious cancer in dogs. Despite his painful condition, we rushed him into emergency surgical correction to stabilize him and begin his treatment. Today, Rex is under intensive care for TVT and wound healing management. Once his wounds fully recover, our veterinary team will perform pin placement surgery for joint stabilization. Until then, he remains under close observation and supportive treatment, receiving the love and care he has been denied for so long. Rex’s recovery will be long and costly—but his life is worth every effort. With your support, we can continue his treatments, manage his wounds, and ensure he receives the surgery that will allow him to live without pain. ** Update 10/23/25 ** Rex recently underwent surgery on one of his eyes, and he’s now on medication to help with both the wound and the pain. He’s being cared for closely, surrounded by gentle hands and constant love. Each day, we’re hoping to see a little more healing—and a little more comfort—for this brave boy who’s been through so much.

Jagan is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Jacksonville , FL, who needs $2,000 for vet care for malformed legs.
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
Jagan’s life has been full of silent suffering—but now he finally has safety and love. When Stray Animal Foundation of India found him, this gentle street dog was struggling to survive with severely deformed legs. We suspect he was once the victim of a terrible accident but, like so many street animals, he never received any veterinary care. His legs healed in the wrong way, leaving them permanently malformed and making it impossible for him to live a normal life on the streets. Because of his condition, Jagan will remain in our sanctuary for life. Here, he is safe from hunger, neglect, and cruelty. He has a warm place to rest, daily meals, and caretakers who make sure he is loved. But his lifelong care comes with costs: food, medical attention, monthly preventives, special veterinary support for his unique needs, and the sanitation and hygiene that keep him healthy. By donating, you are helping us give Jagan the dignified, comfortable life he deserves. Though his body has endured so much, his spirit is gentle and resilient. With your support, we can ensure that Jagan never knows suffering again. Update 11/27/25 We are happy to share a small update this Thanksgiving! – Jagan is taking small strides each and every day in our sanctuary, although he still has a ways to go. He will never fully recover or improve from his leg condition, but here, he finally has a place to call home—a safe, peaceful environment where he is cared for every single day. Jagan’s lifelong sanctuary care depends entirely on the kindness of people like you. Because Jagan will remain with us for life, so will his needs. Your donation today helps ensure that this gentle soul continues to live free from pain, fear, and hunger. Kobe
Kobe is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $1,500 for emergency treatment and jaw surgery.
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When we found Kobe, he was lying helpless in the street after a terrible accident. His lower jaw was shattered and bleeding heavily, leaving him unable to eat, drink, or even close his mouth. It was a heartbreaking sight—Kobe was in excruciating pain, and without urgent care, he would not have survived. We rushed him to the clinic, where he was sedated and stabilized. His examination revealed the full extent of his injuries, and our veterinary team immediately began treatment to stabilize him, stop the bleeding, and treat the pain. Kobe’s journey is far from over. Once he is stable enough, he will require surgery to repair his broken jaw—a critical step to help him eat, drink, and live without pain again. This sweet boy has already endured so much suffering, yet he is still fighting with incredible strength. With your support, we can ensure Kobe gets the surgery and continued care he desperately needs.

Bubbles
Bubbles is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $1,500 for emergency care.
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When we found her, Bubbles was lying helplessly on the street with her eight tiny puppies. All of them were struggling to survive, but tragically, by the time we reached them, it was too late to save her babies. Bubbles not only carries the physical pain of her condition but also the grief of losing her newborns. Her resilience, even in her suffering, is heartbreaking to witness. At the clinic, Bubbles presented with severe anorexia (loss of appetite), a recumbent posture (unable to stand), difficulty breathing, and painful eye discharge. She showed shallow abdominal movement, a weak and bounding pulse, and congested lungs. Our vets suspected life-threatening conditions such as hypoglycemia (dangerously low blood sugar after giving birth), eclampsia (a calcium deficiency often fatal in nursing mothers), or even distemper (a viral disease). To stabilize her, we began urgent treatment, including an antibiotic, a corticosteroid to reduce inflammation, glucose, B12, and other medications. Bubbles is fighting for her life, but she cannot do it without your help. She needs ongoing treatment, careful monitoring, and continued medical support to heal both physically and emotionally from this trauma.

Arthur
Arthur is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $1,500 for PT and treatment for injury.

For days, he had been suffering in silence, struggling to move while exposed to the harsh conditions of the street. He was in so much pain that he could barely walk, and his broken body told the story of immense suffering. We rushed Arthur to the clinic, where the examination revealed devastating injuries: difficulty walking, absent reflexes, and a dangerously dilated rectum. Despite all he has endured, Arthur still has a fighting spirit—and with urgent treatment, he has a chance at recovery. Arthur is now receiving Physiotherapy to support movement and healing, methylprednisolone IV, a potent corticosteroid to reduce spinal inflammation, and cefotaxime, a strong antibiotic to prevent infection. But his road to recovery is long, and he cannot do it without help. Your donation will go directly toward Arthur’s life-saving treatment and ongoing care, giving him the chance to walk again. Arthur has already shown incredible courage. With your support, we can give him the second chance he so desperately needs. Hunter
Help Hunter Heal What Distemper Left Behind
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When Baw Baw Animal Welfare first stepped in, Hunter’s jaw wouldn’t stop moving. Not the cute little chatter dogs do when they’re excited—this was involuntary, constant, and painful. His mouth trembled so hard he could barely eat, barely drink, barely perform the most basic things every dog deserves to do without thinking. And here’s the tough part: this isn’t a brand-new injury. This is the aftermath of something he already survived. A year ago, Hunter fought off canine distemper—a brutal disease that should’ve taken him out. He survived the fevers, the weakness, the neurological storm raging through his body. He came out the other side. And he won. But distemper doesn’t always let go cleanly. What you’re seeing now—the constant jaw tremors, the struggle to close his mouth—is the neurological fallout of that illness. It’s the ghost of a battle he already fought once, still haunting him today. The tiny piece of hope in all this? Hunter CAN get better. He doesn’t need invasive medical procedures. Instead, what he needs is ongoing physiotherapy, supportive exercises, and consistent, hands-on care to retrain his neuromuscular coordination. With consistent care and monitoring, his prognosis is good—he just needs the chance to get there. But the rescue is drowning in medical bills, and this kind of long-term supportive care is expensive. Your support will give Hunter access to the physiotherapy and ongoing care he needs to eat and drink more comfortably, regain strength, and live the happy, pain-free life he deserves. Please consider donating to Hunter today. Update 11/16/25 We’re so relieved and grateful to share that Hunter’s health is improving. His jaw tremors have eased, and his overall condition is better than when he first entered care. Even more encouraging—his appetite, behavior, and water intake are all back to normal. These are huge milestones for a dog who once struggled to eat and drink without pain. But Hunter’s journey isn’t over yet. His continued progress depends on ongoing physiotherapy, supportive care, and regular monitoring, all of which come with significant costs. The rescue is still facing overwhelming medical bills, and Hunter needs continued support to keep healing and regain full comfort and strength. Update 12/17/25 Hunter is alert, active, and responsive to his surroundings. He enjoys people, familiar sounds and smells, eats and drinks regularly, sleeps well, and has moments of playfulness balanced with rest. While this progress gives us hope, Hunter still needs ongoing physiotherapy, supportive care, and regular monitoring to continue healing. These long-term needs come with significant medical costs, and the rescue is still facing overwhelming bills. Please consider supporting Hunter’s continued recovery. Your help gives him the chance to keep moving forward toward a comfortable, happy life. 💙

Diesel
Diesel is a 4 month old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $1,500 for treatment for babesiosis.
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When Diesel was found by Baw Baw Animal Welfare, he was lying on the roadside in a heartbreaking state—severely neglected, weak, and covered in an overwhelming tick infestation that had clearly been tormenting him for months. His body was burdened with ticks from head to tail, leaving him in extreme discomfort and distress. By the time he was rescued, Diesel could no longer cope. He was lethargic, frail, and his gums and mucous membranes were dangerously pale. At the hospital, bloodwork confirmed the devastating impact of his neglect: severe anemia with alarmingly low red blood cell counts. Veterinarians immediately started him on antiprotozoal treatment for babesiosis (a tick-borne disease) and gave a flea and tick treatment. He will need continued medical care, monitoring, and supportive treatments to rebuild his strength and give him the chance he deserves. With your help, Diesel can finally leave behind the months of suffering he endured on the streets and begin a new chapter filled with safety, comfort, and love. Update 12/11/25 Diesel is doing remarkably well. His treatments for babesiosis and anemia are working, and this brave boy has been able to remain in a loving home environment throughout his recovery. Staying at home has kept his stress levels low, his spirits high, and his healing steady. His gums are slowly regaining color, his energy is returning, and he’s finally experiencing the comfort and peace he was denied for so long. Every small improvement is a testament to the compassion of everyone who helped give him this second chance. Diesel still has more progress ahead of him—continued monitoring, supportive care, and follow-up treatments—but he is truly on the right path. Update 12/19/25 Diesel continues to fight quietly and bravely every single day—and that strength is because of you. At this stage, Diesel’s condition remains stable, and that consistency is exactly what we hoped for. His treatment plan for babesiosis and severe anemia is ongoing, and he is still being closely monitored to ensure his red blood cell levels continue moving in the right direction. Healing from months of extreme neglect doesn’t happen overnight, but Diesel is holding steady and responding as expected. He remains in a calm, loving home environment, which has been critical for his recovery. Keeping his stress low allows his body to focus on healing, and it’s clear how much this has helped him. His demeanor is gentle, his appetite is present, and he’s showing quiet signs of resilience that remind us why he’s worth every ounce of effort. If you’ve already donated, thank you for being part of Diesel’s lifeline. If you’re able to give—or give again—your support right now ensures he can continue receiving the care he needs to survive and heal. Diesel has come too far to stop now. Please consider donating or sharing his story to help carry him through the rest of his recovery.

Nova
Nova is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $2,000 for treatment for severe dermatitis and infection.
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
This is Nova, a gentle soul rescued by Baw Baw Animal Rescue after enduring unimaginable suffering on the streets. For months, Nova battled a severe skin rash that spread across his body, leaving him weak, frail, and in constant pain. Each day, his strength faded as he silently carried the burden of his illness, with no one to comfort him. By the time we found him, Nova was barely hanging on—struggling just to take each breath. His skin was red, inflamed, and unbearably itchy. Despite his condition, Nova’s spirit still flickered through—he never lost his appetite or will to survive. A blood test revealed just how dire his situation was: his white blood cell count was dangerously high, signaling a serious infection, and his platelets were abnormally low. He urgently needed medical care, and we immediately started him on antibiotics and steroids to fight the infection and bring him some relief. Now Nova finally has a chance—but he can’t do it without you. His recovery will require ongoing medical treatment, regular vet visits, and supportive care to help his body heal from months of neglect.

Milo
Milo is a 3 month old Mix-Breed in Burnsville, MN, who needs $1,000 for physical therapy and treatment for injury.
Burnsville, MN • Baw Baw Animal Welfare
When Milo was just one month old, a terrible accident left him disabled. He was found lying helpless on the street, close to death—until Baw Baw Animal Welfare stepped in to rescue him and give him a fighting chance. A local vet tried to help Milo, but his recovery stalled, and he still struggles daily with the effects of his injury. Now only 3.5 months old, Milo has so much life ahead of him. His appetite is good, and he’s a fighter with a will to live, but he urgently needs specialized care to have a chance at a happy, mobile future. After the accident, Milo suffered spinal compression, leaving him with difficulty walking and a lack of sensation in his spinal column. The good news is that with the right treatments—steroids to reduce inflammation and regular physiotherapy—Milo has a real chance to improve his mobility and quality of life. Walter
Walter is a 5 year old Boston Terrier in Lansing, MI, who needs $2,000 for Consultation MRI & Possible Emergency Surgery.
Lansing, MI
We drove to Indiana and he picked us. Walter has been in our life for 5 yrs. We also have a Doberman and a Pitbull and he has them wrapped around his paw. We named him LittleDude but he never responded well to that name. 1 day we were outside and I had called my husband by his full name and LittleDude stopped digging a hole. Blew it off he started to dig again. So I said Walter stop and he did Walter has been a very very active dog chasing his ball and gets it no matter what it takes, One day I noticed he started to drag his back feet so I took him into his vet and they did x-rays and he has a disc that is pinching off his spinal cord. The vet said he could of been born with it or he could have injured his back so he has been referred to BluePeral VeterinaryPartners- Farminton Mi. Walter is 1 of a kind, I am a caregiver for a AFC home for intellectual disability, and he used to go to work with me daily till he got hurt and now is in a crate. He brings so much happiness and joy to the residents at my job and so much laughter. They miss him. He has brought so much happiness in my family's life. He always makes sure we are safe and if we are sad he kisses our tears away We are on a fixed budget now that my husband is disabled and money is tight. Walter is a huge part of so many peoples lives and we would be so grateful for any help. He has no other medical issues he is healthy. He is so energetic that it breaks my heart to see him struggle

Cheeto
Cheeto is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Muscoda, WI, who needs $200 for General Checkup and Tests.
Muscoda, WI
Cheeto was given to me by my fiance about 3 1/2 years ago. When he was probably about 10-12 weeks old. Cheeto was an outside/barn kitten. My fiance passed away a little over 2 years ago. Cheeto and I live in a small town and he is now fully an inside cat. Although is sometimes curious about outdoors. We live in a home that has 2 other cats. They all get along. Cheeto is the only boy and fixed. Cheeto developed some sort of balance issues, as well as he shakes his head quite often and stumbles. He falls alot. Over the last year or so his problem seems to have improved and his balance is much better. But I don't have any answers to why he has this problem. Lately I have noticed he has stomach issues. Throws up often, gags, seems to have lost a little bit of weight. Cheeto is so resilient. He could hardly stand, would fall over constantly, and couldn't really jump onto things anymore. But he doesn't give up. I tell him he is a lion and it seems to give him the strength of a lion! He is a lover and silly. After losing my fiance, Cheeto and I had to move. We are trying so hard to pull ourselves back together but with this new insight has become so much worry. I just want him to be ok and know he's not sick. Or if I can do something I want to be able to!

Kiara
Kiara — 266b0c
Saginaw, MI
Kiara- we found Kiara after we lost our other rottie, Nalla in 2020 from diabetes. Kiara has helped us heal from the lost of our other rottie baby. She’s full of life and love. I have a love of Rottweilers because my biological father use to raise them when I was young and unfortunately he lost his battle to suicide in 2010, having rotties helps me think that he is always near. Please help us. Kiara has some type of abscess in her abdomen and the doctor is sure she can get it out with surgery with a positive outcome unfortunately we have already spent over $2000 on all the diagnosis and where a family of six with four young kids been paying five to $7000 for surgery is just a lot on us at this time. We would be greatly appreciative if anyone was able to help us contribute to our pup. Kiara always makes me feel safe. She’s a Rottweiler so people don’t just walk up to me if she’s around she protects her house but she still loves on the kids and cuddles them. She’s always looking for food and she can’t wait until her dad gets home and gives her cuddles As I mentioned before we have four children in five to $7000 would impact our family greatly if we had to come up with the entire funds ourselves so we’re asking for help.

Leo
Leo is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Honolulu, HI, who needs $4,000 for TPLO Surgery.
Honolulu, HI
Leo (born Jan 31, 2020) is our 95lb tri‑color gentle giant; a mix of pitbull, mastiff, bulldog, husky, and rottweiler. We adopted him in July 2020 after he was found as a stray in Southern Illinois, driving nine hours each way to bring him home. Now in Honolulu with our two cats, he’s our shadow, protector, and the heartbeat of our home. Over Labor Day weekend, Leo injured his left hind leg and now won’t put any weight on it. Kaimuki Veterinary Urgent Care diagnosed a CCL tear and has referred us for TPLO surgery. He’s on pain meds and strict rest, but surgery is urgent to restore his mobility, prevent arthritis, and let him enjoy his playful, joyful life again. Leo is loved by everyone who meets him. He loves tug of war, chase, car rides, cuddles, and pup cups. He sleeps with us every night and greets guests with a tail thump and slobbery grin. Gentle with Poncho and Marley, he checks on each of us when we’re down and is the joyful center of every gathering. We’re seeking $2,000 to help cover Leo’s TPLO surgery. This operation will repair his torn ligament and end his pain. Your gift will directly fund the procedure that lets him walk, run on the beach, greet friends at the gate, and keep bringing joy to everyone he meets.

Penny
Penny is a 3 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $2,000 for MRI.
Phoenix, AZ
3 years ago I experienced two injuries. Torn labrum in my shoulder and a torn meniscus in my knee. I wasnt able to work out and became depressed. Thats when I adopted Penny. She is AMAZING!! She loves everyone. Kids, other dogs, even cats. She just wants to meet everyone and get pets! She plays hard, and loves the dog park! But her excitement most likely led to this injury in her biceps tendon. Due to the biceps tendon tear, she needs an MRI. Dr Soderstom needs to do a scan to determine if its a Level 1, 2 or 3 tear so that we can determine the best course of treatment with a possible surgery. Pennys best friend Kiska just moved out of state. They grew up together and loved play time. Every single person i know is happy to welcome Penny into their home for a visit, or dog sitting if I am going out of town. Shes great with kids and trusted around babies. This bill is wildy out of my budget. I dont make a lot of money but want Penny to be happy and pain free. It would mean so much if people were willing to help 😊

tyner, KY
Peaches is a beautiful Siamese cat known for her talkative and affectionate personality. She currently lives on a farm, where she enjoys spending her days exploring the outdoors and keeping company with the other animals. Peaches is very social and often “talks” to both people and animals around her, making her a lively part of the farm family. Peaches is a Siamese cat currently cared for by Annville Veterinary Clinic. When we first got her two years ago, she was unable to walk, but with care and rest, she recovered within a few days. Recently, Peaches experienced a life-threatening emergency when she was in labor for over three days. She was taken to the Richmond Emergency Veterinary Clinic Peaches is truly one of a kind. We found her when she needed us the most, and since then, she’s become an irreplaceable part of our family. With her beautiful blue eyes and gentle spirit, she’s like a little angel. Peaches loves to “talk” and always finds ways to be near us or the other animals on the farm. She’s affectionate, curious, and seems to understand when someone needs comfort. Right now, all of our family’s resources are going toward my mother’s care as she battles stage 4 colon cancer. Because of this, it’s been difficult to cover unexpected veterinary costs. Peaches means so much to us.
Whisper
After Suffering a Serious Head Injury from an Act of Cruelty, Whisper Needs Emergency Care and a Chance to Heal
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
When we first found Whisper, he was wandering slowly down the road, clearly in pain and crying out for help. He had suffered from an act of cruelty, somebody had badly hit his head. He was disoriented, heartbroken, and didn’t know where to go, just quietly pleading for someone to notice. It was the only way he knew how to ask for kindness. Miso
Help Miso heal from a debilitating Tail/Back Injury
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Miso came to us late one night, barely clinging to life. He was lying lifeless on the side of the road, his back torn and raw, his tail completely gone. Underneath his fur was nothing but skin and bone, and in his eyes… a sadness too deep for words. He was exhausted, dehydrated, and too weak to even stand. But when we wrapped him in a soft blanket, maybe the first he’s ever felt, Miso did something that broke our hearts. He leaned in and hugged us. As if after everything he had endured, what he needed most wasn’t food or medicine, but simple, human comfort. Now, Miso is resting in a cool, air-conditioned room in our shelter, far from the heat and chaos of the streets of Karachi. He’s been sleeping almost nonstop, his body still in disbelief that it’s finally safe. His wounds are being treated, he’s on a careful refeeding plan, and he’s receiving love and care with every step of his healing. Your support can give Miso the second chance he’s quietly asking for. With your help, we can continue his treatment, feed his fragile body, and keep him wrapped in the love he so clearly needs. Miso has survived too much for too long. Let’s help him finally feel peace. Update 9/8/25 Miso is so full of life. It was thought at first that he was shy and introverted, but his personality has really started to shine. He is so loving and social and is always wanting to make friends with the other animals and people. Update 10/1/25 Miso has completely changed his personality, he’s like a totally different dog now! At first, we thought he was introverted, but the truth is that he loves other dogs. He’s become so friendly with everyone around him, and his entire face has transformed from one of utter despair to one of pure joy. Miso is healing so well, inside and out and we are so grateful for your support!

Mufasa
Senior dog discarded and dumped in another town needs medical care
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Mufasa arrived in the back of a truck, quiet and worn, after traveling miles from another city. An old soul with a fractured front leg, a missing back one, and an injured ear—he looked around, confused and heartbroken. Half of his body had been shaved, as if someone started to care for him, then gave up halfway through. It was clear he had been discarded when things got too hard. He’s severely dehydrated, his vision is fading, and even basic things like using the bathroom are a struggle. But through it all, Mufasa carries himself with quiet pride. He sleeps most of the day now, exhausted from everything he’s endured, but when he stands, he lifts his head with strength and dignity. That’s why we’ve named him Mufasa. Now, he’s safe at ACF Animal Rescue, surrounded by cool air, soft blankets, and kind voices. We’re helping him heal, gently, with compassion. His body is fragile, but his spirit still flickers. And though he doesn’t understand why he was taken from the only life he knew, we’re doing everything we can to show him he’s not alone. This is Mufasa’s retirement. It may not have started with love, but it can end that way. Please help us give him the comfort, care, and pride he so deeply deserves. After a lifetime of surviving, it’s time for Mufasa to finally rest in peace and dignity. Update 8/15/25 Mufasa is doing a lot better. He still moves slowly and takes his time moving from place to place, in that stoic proud way of his, but he is comfortable in the A/C and is walking around and gaining strength. He has even made friends with some of the other dogs and he loves human company

Toffee
Toffee Was Found Abandoned, Starving, and With a Broken Leg — Help This Heartbroken Kitty Get the Life-Saving Care He Desperately Needs
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Toffee came to us late one night, tucked into himself like he was trying to disappear. He had a broken leg, a body starved thin beneath his matted fur, and eyes full of heartbreak. Abandoned and alone, he looked too tired to keep going, too confused to understand why he’d been left behind. And for a while, he simply gave up. We call it Broken Heart Syndrome. It's not officially diagnosed in animals, but we see it all the time. Pets like Toffee lose their home, their people, and their sense of safety, and their spirit just fades. The night he arrived, he didn’t eat or drink, barely moved, and stared out as if waiting for someone who never came back. But little by little, Toffee is responding to care. He’s begun to eat again. He lets us wrap him in blankets, accepts slow strokes on his head, and rests more peacefully each night. He’s now on medical treatment for his injuries, and with your help, he’ll also get the proper treatment for a broken leg, pain relief, and comfort he needs to fully recover— both body and soul. Toffee’s wounds run deeper than his broken leg. But with your support, we can help heal all of it. Please consider donating to give this gentle boy the warmth, love, and safety he’s aching for. Let’s show Toffee that his heart and his life are worth saving.

Popeye
Left in a Basket, Longing for Love—Help Popeye Heal From Painful Mouth Infection
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Popeye once had a home. But when he developed a painful mouth infection, his family abandoned him. They left him in a pink basket, too afraid to move or even meow. He arrived at ACF Animal Rescue tense with fear, and his eyes scanning the room as if searching for the people who left him behind. He didn’t cry. He didn’t hiss. He just sat quietly, confused, hurting, and heartbroken. The infection in his mouth made eating painful, and the heartbreak of abandonment was written all over his face. But even in his silence, Popeye showed us he wanted to trust again. Now, he’s receiving treatment for his infection, and slowly, Popeye is starting to feel safe. He’s beginning to lean into gentle pets, to rest without fear, and to believe that not all humans will give up on him. But he still has a long way to go. He needs ongoing medical care, soft food, and time to fully heal both physically and emotionally. With your help, we can give Popeye the comfort he’s been denied. Your donation helps cover his medical treatment, special diet, and the loving care he needs to feel whole again. Please help us show Popeye that he was never disposable and that his story is far from over.

Atlas
Once Someone’s Beloved Pet, Atlas Was Found Injured, Dehydrated, and Alone — He Needs Urgent Veterinary Care
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Atlas was once someone’s pet, a dog who knew what it meant to belong. But when we found him, he was alone on a busy main road in Karachi, curled up behind a concrete pillar as traffic screamed past. He was wounded, starving, and dangerously dehydrated. There was no shelter, no food, no comfort, just confusion in his eyes and exhaustion in his body. We don’t know how long Atlas had been out there, but we know he wouldn’t have lasted much longer. The moment we offered him food, he devoured it right inside the rescue van, desperate and grateful all at once. And then, as he began to realize he was safe, Atlas did something that stopped us in our tracks: he gently reached out his paw, as if to say thank you. Now safe at ACF Animal Rescue, Atlas is beginning to heal. He’s eating regular meals, receiving medical treatment for his wounds, and settling into the comfort of clean blankets and kind hands. The fear is still in his eyes, but so is hope, and that’s something worth fighting for. Your support gives abandoned pets like Atlas a second chance. With your help, we can cover his food, medical care, and the shelter he desperately needs. Help us show Atlas that kindness didn’t forget him and that he’s finally safe. UPDATE 8/15/25 Atlas is doing so much better. His sad eyes have turned happy as he has become more comfortable, especially with the animal care manager. His wounds are healing and he is gaining weight. He is finally starting to relax after everything he has been through.

Moose
Help This Senior Dog Finally Know Comfort
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
Moose is an old bully dog who’s endured more than any soul should. Likely used for fighting and discarded when he was no longer “useful,” he came to ACF Animal Rescue painfully thin, weak, and barely hanging on. His body tells the story of years of neglect—his eyes and ears wounded and infected, his frame starved from long-term deprivation. But even after everything, Moose welcomed our team with quiet trust, as if he knew this was finally his chance at safety. For the first time in his life, Moose is experiencing gentle care. No cages. No cruelty. Just kindness, soft blankets, warm meals, and hands that don’t hurt him. He can’t see, and he still moves slowly, but we can already see the change beginning. His breathing is steadier. His body is healing. His spirit is slowly returning. Moose is now on a careful treatment plan, receiving medical care for his infections, a nourishing diet, pain management, and the peace and quiet he’s never known. Our team is working tirelessly to give him the comfort he’s gone without for so long. He may be older, but we believe Moose deserves golden years filled with peace, love, and dignity. Your support can help us give Moose everything he needs to heal. Every donation helps cover food, treatment, clean bedding, and a safe place to rest. Moose’s journey hasn’t been easy, but with your help, it can give him hope and love.

Tyson
From Forgotten to Found: Tyson’s Road to Recovery
Austin, TX • ACF Animal Rescue USA
You wouldn’t believe it if you didn’t see it yourself—just two tiny eyes glowing in the dark, peeking from the middle of an empty field. That’s where we found Tyson, a little black Lab puppy who had been tied up and left behind. His ear was torn, raw flesh exposed, and his body was weak from days without food. His owners didn’t want him anymore, so they tied him up to a tree and abandoned him. When we approached, Tyson didn’t growl or run. Despite the pain, he looked up at us with eyes full of hope. We rushed him to safety and began treating his wounds, easing his pain, and helping him rest for the first time in days. He’s now in one of our quarantine rooms, eating small meals, walking again, and slowly learning that the world isn’t as cruel as it once seemed. Tyson is still healing. He’s on a custom medical plan with a special diet, daily wound care, and Bravecto to protect him from parasites that could put his fragile immune system at risk. Tyson, and every pup in our care, receives individualized attention, because that’s what it takes to undo the harm they’ve survived. Your support can help Tyson continue this journey. Just one donation helps provide food, medical treatment, clean bedding, and the safety he’s never known until now. Please help us give Tyson the chance to grow into the happy, healthy puppy he was meant to be. Update 9/8/25 Tyson has adjusted very well into the rescue's quarantine room where he is being treated before he can interact with all the other dogs. He is bunking with dogs Mufasa and Mizo and is happy to be their friend. He is a happy pup and his ear injury is slowly healing.

He looked at us with eyes full of quiet hope. Since that night, Magnus has begun a new chapter—one filled with care, patience, and love. For maybe the first time in his life, he is wagging his tail. He is happiest when he is around humans and geting a lot of attention.

Samosa
Urgent Ear Surgery Needed to Stop Samosa’s Painful Hematoma
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
When Samosa was rescued from the streets by the Stray Animal Foundation of India, he was quietly suffering. His ear was painfully swollen from an aural hematoma—an internal blood blister caused by repeated trauma or infection, common in street dogs who are left untreated for even the simplest of injuries. Samosa’s condition needs urgent attention. He requires diagnostics to assess the full extent of his condition, surgery to drain and repair his ear, and neutering to ensure his future is safer and healthier. Without this care, his ear could become permanently damaged or lead to chronic pain and infection. Despite everything he’s been through, Samosa is gentle, trusting, and full of heart. He wags his tail at every kind hand, every soft word. He knows he’s finally safe—but now he needs help to heal. Please help us turn Samosa’s rescue into a true recovery. Every contribution—big or small—helps get him one step closer to the healthy, pain-free life he deserves.

Lulu
Lulu Was Found Alone and Injured on the Streets — This Sweet, Fluffy Pup Needs Urgent Treatment for a Gruesome Neck Wound
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
Lulu is tiny. Fluffy. The kind of dog that looks like she belongs curled up on a warm blanket, not abandoned on the streets to fend for herself. But that’s exactly what happened. This sweet Pomeranian mix was found all alone—scared, in pain, and with a gruesome wound on her neck. A wound so severe it had become infested with maggots. It’s the kind of injury that doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time. It takes neglect. And most of all, it takes someone walking away and deciding not to care. But finally, someone did care. They stepped up to be Lulu’s voice, and Stray Animal Foundation of India stepped in the moment they got notice. Lulu was rushed to the vet, where her wound was cleaned and she began receiving the care she so desperately needed. Today, she remains on pain relief and antibiotics, and is slowly but surely starting to feel “herself” again. Once she’s strong enough, she’ll be spayed—one more step toward a future where she’s never forced to bring more lives into the world just to suffer the way she has. But Lulu’s road to healing isn’t just medical. It’s as physical as it is emotional, and getting there will take time. Please donate if you can. Share her story if you can’t. Every ounce of support helps give Lulu the healing, safety, and love she’s always deserved. Update 9/15/25 Lulu's wound has fully healed! She was just spayed since she was finally healthy enough and we are happy to report that she is now available for adoption.

Jelly
Poor Pup Left to Rot: Severely Emaciated, Wounded, & Covered in Maggots
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
Jelly was abandoned. It was clear she was suffering—and had been for some time. By the time she was rescued, Jelly’s condition was heartbreaking. She was so weak, she couldn’t even muster the strength to stand. Her bones protrude from her fragile, frail body, which is also peppered with wounds. Wounds which, sadly, had become infected and infested—with live maggots burrowing into her skin. Thankfully, Jelly is now safe with rescuers of Stray Animal Foundation of India. The maggots have now been removed, her wounds are being cleaned daily, and bloodwork has been sent-out for CBC, liver, and kidney function tests. And to avoid refeeding syndrome, she is also on a careful feeding plan to help her body adjust. But this kind of care doesn’t come easy—and it doesn’t come cheap. Jelly’s road to recovery is just beginning. It will take time. It will take medical care. It will take resources and support far beyond just that of the rescue. Jelly needs a Village—and she deserves one too. The goal is to raise $2,000 to help cover her diagnostics, ongoing treatment, and recovery care. Every ounce of support gets us one step closer to doing just that. ❤️

Tom
Heartlessly Dumped—Paralyzed Pup Left Scared, Motionless, & Alone
Jacksonville, FL • Stray Animal Foundation of India
He was left like garbage—motionless and alone. By the time our team found Tom, an older Pomeranian, it was barely sunrise. He had been dumped directly outside our shelter gates. No note. No explanation. Just…dumped. He wasn’t moving, and at first, we thought he might have already passed. But then we saw his eyes—barely open, filled with confusion and pain. When we tried to gently lift him, we realized the truth: Tom couldn’t use his front legs. He couldn’t walk. He couldn’t even sit up. Tom is now safe at Stray Animal Foundation of India, receiving medical care, love, and comfort he needs for his second chance. We’re doing everything we can to figure out what happened to his legs—whether it was trauma, neurological, or something else entirely. Diagnostics and X-rays are underway. And no matter what those results show, Tom won’t be alone again. If he regains use of his legs, we’ll find him the perfect forever home. And if he doesn’t, he’ll remain with us - loved and protected - for the rest of his life. His vet care, imaging, and long-term support are expensive. We’re currently trying to raise $3,000 to cover to cover his diagnostics, treatments, and care. Every act of kindness brings us one step closer to helping this sweet boy feel safe, comfortable, and cared for again.

Big Mama
Big Mama Needs a Big Miracle
Magnolia, TX • FosterDocHouston Dog Rescue
Meet the sweetest girl named Big Mama. She is the dog that has been with FosterDocHouston Rescue the longest—waiting patiently for her forever home since October. Amazingly, they rescued her from BARC, Houston’s largest high-kill shelter, and gave her the second chance she so deeply deserved. She’s independent, smart, and endlessly loyal. A quick learner with a playful heart, Big Mama brings joy and calm wherever she goes. She’s the kind of dog who leans into your side when you need it most. But recently, while playing, Big Mama took a fall and started limping badly. The diagnosis? A full ACL tear in her hind leg. She’s in pain, and without surgery, her recovery will be long and difficult. She’s scheduled for further treatment with Houston Mobile Veterinary Surgery, but the procedure will cost several thousand dollars—something their small, nonprofit rescue simply can’t cover alone. Big Mama has nothing but love and patience to give. Now she needs all of our help to walk, run, and play again—pain-free. Please consider donating to her surgery fund. Every dollar makes a difference. Let’s get Big Mama back on her feet and one step closer to the forever home she’s been waiting for, for too long. Thank you for your continued support.

Lucy
Will You Help This 21-year-old Mini Donkey Lucy?
Geneva, OH • NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue
NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue has expanded its rescue to take in equestrian animals, and they recently took in the sweetest 21-year-old mini donkey named Lucy. They don't know much about her past, but it's apparent that she wasn’t cared for properly over the years. Her hooves were in ghastly shape from being trimmed improperly, making it hard for her to walk without pain. Her coat was dull and dry, and she looked much older than her 21 years. Thankfully, they've been able to remedy her hoof situation over the last year and provide her with pain relief. This past winter, Lucy was showing signs that her gut was not able to absorb the nutrients that she needed. Their vet put Lucy on a trial of medications and, thankfully, they are starting to help Lucy feel and look better. The rescue will continue these medications long term to ensure best results for her. As is typical of prey animals, she’s fearful around noises, and while she’s tolerant of the other equines, she presently prefers to keep them at a distance and have her own space at the barn, allowing her to see the other donkeys, yet giving her the privacy she craves. Lucy loves humans, massages, and getting brushed. She has the cutest bray and exults in “talking” to her caretakers. As a registered, nonprofit animal sanctuary that provides lifetime care for animals with chronic medical needs, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to pay for vet bills and medications. Can you be a part of this sweet, old donkey's healing journey? She has a lot of life left in her and deserves to live out the rest of her life in full health and surrounded by lots of love. Thank you!

Stormy Rose
Stormy Rose is a 4 month old German Shepherd Dog in Myersville, MD, who needs $2,000 for X-rays, Femur Repair, and Obstruction Surgery.
Myersville, MD
Hello everyone. Stormy was born December 14th 2024. I picked her up when she was 6 weeks old!! All of my animals have been rescued. She definitely is a live wire. I named her Stormy Rose, she's like a little storm going through but sweet as can be ❤️. March 17th she was hurt by another animal, none of mine!!! I paid $8,000 for her emergency vet and her first surgery. I am looking for help, because she was in the kennel for 4 weeks. Since she is a live wire she has to get back in the kennel for 4 weeks because her pin is bent. While she was in there she ate and stuffless animal 😳. She is now bound up!!! She will also need surgery again on her leg if the pin, keeps bpending. She's definitely loved by everyone especially her big brother Petey, which was also a rescue from the highway In North Carolina!! My pets mean the world to me!!! This unexpected surgery really hit hard!! As my other rescue has thyroid issues and is always at the vet too!!! When I have a pet I do not give up on them easily. I have them until they die!!! Even if it's only a dollar I appreciate everything from everyone!!!

Chewy, my Shih Tzu, was surrendered due to not being properly cared for, but now he’s in a better situation with me. When I saw him, he was matted beyond recognition and was being kept outside to fend for himself. Now he is spoiled along with his Pomeranian bother. Chewy, my Shih Tzu with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), has specific care needs to support his recovery and manage the condition. IVDD is a disorder where the discs between the vertebrae of the spine degenerate or herniate, leading to pain, nerve damage, and even paralysis in severe cases. Chewy requires specialized treatment with acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy to recover. Chewy, our lovable Shih Tzu, is playful, affectionate, and loyal. He loves cuddling and playing with the family, especially enjoying fetch with the kids and napping on Mom’s lap. Chewy is gentle with the children and protective of the family, always offering comfort when someone’s feeling down. His sweet, endearing nature makes him a cherished member of our household. As a single mother, I’m facing a financial challenge in getting the medical care my beloved pet, Chewy, needs. Chewy brings so much joy and comfort to our family, and seeing him unwell has been tough. Your support would help cover his medical expenses, allowing us to restore

Harlee Joon
Harlee Joon is a 1 year old Labrador Retriever in Halifax, PA, who needs $2,000 for FCP Arthroscopy and Femoral Head Ostectomy.
Halifax, PA
Greetings! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Harlee Joon. I am a spunkalicious 1yr old lab born in a deplorable Lancaster County PA puppy mill. I was rescued by a foster rescue along with my brothers and sisters. They took great care of me until my new pet guardian adopted me, whisking me away to my new home where I am given lots of love along with my new brothers and sisters. I started limping 4 months ago. While I may look beautiful on the outside, my xrays showed my little bones are in dire need of medical treatment. I have severe elbow dysplasia with floating bone chips due to poor breeding practices and a broken hip from an injury sustained while living in the deplorable puppy mill. The good news, I can be fixed by the great staff at Skylos Sports Medicine in MD. My Mom says I am her soul furry, the keeper of the best puppy hugs, the perfect mix of “chill Netflix companion” and lets hit some water and mountain trails. But, I also believe in the sacred art of couch potato-ing and am a connoisseur of comfort. My elbow surgeries and hip replacement will cost in excess of $15,000. Without pet insurance my pet guardians need to raise funds quickly to help reduce the financial burden of the medical help I desperately need. Please, if you can, consider donating to my medical crisis.

Poet
Healing Poet: Emergency Surgery and Hospitalization for a Brave Soul in Russia
Norwood, MA • Big Little Life Animal Rescue International
On a cold Russian night, a tiny soul named Poet was left to fight for his life.Thrown from a moving car, Poet was struck by another vehicle shortly after. The impact was so intense, he was knocked to the roadside, unable to move. But the driver who hit him didn’t just drive away. They stopped, picked him up, and rushed him to the clinic, saving his life. Poet’s injuries are serious. He was bleeding internally, and emergency surgery that night saved his life. They had to remove his spleen. Now he’s on oxygen therapy because his lungs are damaged, and his pelvis is broken. Due to his pelvic injuries and pain, Poet is unable to stand and spends all his time lying down. But pelvic surgery will have to wait until he’s strong enough to handle it. His bloodwork shows just how much his body has been through. The levels of damage to his liver are dangerously high and his is anemic. Right now, every part of him is fighting to stay alive. But Poet is showing everyone how strong he is: he is a survivor and a fighter. Big Little Life is doing everything in their power to help him heal, but the medical bills are mounting quickly. They are committed to helping him get through this, but need your help. With your support, Poet has the chance to heal and live the life he deserves. Update 2/3/25: Poet finally had his first surgery to repair his broken pelvis! After recovering from his initial surgery to remove the spleen, he was finally strong enough for this critical step. Doctors operated on one side of his pelvis, with the other side scheduled for surgery in three days. Due to his lung trauma, they had to modify his anesthesia to ensure it didn’t put too much strain on his breathing. Doing the surgeries separately also reduces the risks and gives his body time to handle the recovery in stages. Metal plates were installed to stabilize his pelvis, and now, keeping him still is the next big challenge. Jack Russells aren’t exactly known for staying put, but for now, his movements must be restricted to give him the best chance at healing. Update 2/9/25: Poet has made it through his second pelvis surgery! Last week, the vets repaired one side of his pelvis, and few days ago, they finally operated on the other. Just like before, they used modified anesthesia to protect his lungs and carefully placed more metal plates to stabilize his bones. It was another big surgery, but Poet pulled through. Now comes the hardest part—healing. His movements have to stay restricted, which is no small challenge for an active Jack Russell, but it’s the only way to give him the best chance at recovery. The next days and weeks will be all about rest, pain management, and giving his little body the time it needs to heal. We’re so relieved this major step is behind him, but he still has a long way to go. His surgeries have been life-saving, but they’ve also been expensive. If you can, please help us cover the costs of his care. Every little bit means the world. Update 3/10/25: Poet is healing well after his surgeries! His recovery is on track, and while he still needs plenty of rest, he’s starting to show just how much of a Jack Russell he really is. He’s getting bored in his kennel and has already made a few attempts to break out—clearly, he has no idea he’s supposed to be taking it easy! But for now, he’s still in quarantine, where his movements can be managed to make sure his pelvis heals properly.

Onyx
Onyx is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Worcester, MA, who needs $1,000 for In-Home Eye Drop Application.
Worcester, MA
Onyx & Michelle have been inseparably since she adopted him as a kitten -- he's the perfect roommate & companion! Despite her mobility challenges, she tried for months to medicate Onyx's diseased eye with drops without success. His ocular condition continued to progress affecting his vision and comfort. This campaign will help provide funds to have his veterinary team come medicate him for her. Onyx has eosinophilic keratitis in his eye-- an allergic condition that caused a growth on his cornea. It obstructs his vision & causes significant discomfort. Onyx can be cured with eye drops however due to Michelle's dexterity & mobility challenges, she has been unable to medicate him. We hope to raise funds for Happy @ Home Mobile Veterinary Care to apply his eye drops until his eye is healed. When Onyx is feeling good, he is a playful goofball! Now that he has his eye condition, he has been more withdrawn and quiet. We are looking forward to getting him feeling better so he can return to his rambuctious baseline. Without Onyx, Michelle would not have anyone with whom to share her home. He is truly family! Michelle lives in subsidized housing for those with mobility challenges. Onyx is Michelle's best friend & her family. Your help means the world to them both. With your help, we will make sure Michelle gets help medicating Onyx's eye multiple times a day until he's healed.
