Help China Get the Urgent Care She Needs for a Lesion on Her Paw

Meet China, an adorable 12-year-old domestic longhair cat from Illinois who has a lesion on her paw. China needs her paw looked at and treated that is estimated to cost $438.36. 💜 Will you help give China the gift of more time? China's story written by her mom “China is a 12-year-old domestic longhair cat who has been a very special part of my life for many years. She came into my life and quickly became much more than a pet, she became a beloved member of my family and a source of comfort, companionship, and unconditional love. Recently, I noticed a strange-looking lesion on China’s paw, along with a wart-like lesion on her neck that causes her to scratch herself frequently. At this time, we do not know exactly what these lesions are, which is why she needs a veterinary examination and appropriate diagnostic care. China is scheduled to be seen, where the veterinarian will evaluate the lesions and determine the appropriate treatment. Depending on the findings, she may need medication, treatment for infection or inflammation, or removal and testing of abnormal tissue. China has not yet received treatment for these lesions because we are still waiting for her veterinary examination and diagnosis. Her estimated veterinary care is $438. With the generous $200 grant from Paws 4 A Cure, I am hoping to raise an additional $238 to help cover the remaining estimated cost of her examination, diagnostic care, and treatment. I am doing everything I can to provide China with the care she needs, but as someone living with a disability and relying on a limited fixed income, the cost of unexpected veterinary care is very difficult for me to manage. Your assistance is giving me hope that I can make sure China receives the care she needs. China means so much to me. She is not simply my cat, she is my family, my companion, and a precious part of my life. I want to give her the same love and care that she has given me throughout the years. We brought him home at just 14 weeks old after our daughter had been asking for a dog, and he quickly became an irreplaceable part of our family. He has grown up with our children and is now just as loving, patient, and protective with our grandson. At the beginning of this summer, Kook’s health began to decline. At first, we thought he may have been depressed from changes at home, but as things got worse, we learned that he has diabetes. He now needs insulin twice a day, with a new vial costing about $90 every 10–14 days. Our family is currently facing financial hardship, and it is heartbreaking knowing Kook’s care depends on what we can afford. We are hoping to raise $1,080 to help cover about six months of his insulin while we work toward getting back on our feet. Kook has given our family nearly 10 years of unconditional love, and we want to give him every chance at a long, healthy life. Help Bella Get the Leg Amputation She Needs to Beat Cancer

Meet Bella, an adorable 14-year-old Cocker Spaniel Poodle mix (Cockapoo) service dog from Colorado who has been diagnosed with a cancerous mass adjacent to long bone. Bella needs surgery to amputate her leg. Her surgery—costs approximately $1,720. Paws 4 A Cure is providing a $400 grant, but Bella's mom is trying to raise an additional $205 so she can continue receiving the treatment she desperately needs. 💜 Will you help give Bella the gift of more time? If you're unable to donate, simply sharing her fundraising pages can help him reach someone who can. “Bella is a 14-year-old cocker spaniel poodle (cockapoo) service dog. Bella came a part of my life as her previous owner had brain cancer and died. I was the chosen family member that was capable of training her into a full fledge service dog. The illness was noticed back in March 2026. Bella was taken to a vet clinic to have an aspirate test done. No certainty of the final conclusion. I had no further funds for any further testing. Being indigent, and on SSI becomes a very difficult situation. Several veterinary places were called to see if there was any better place to go to. I called the Humane Society there was a brief ultrasound scan of her abdomen scan done. We found that her liver is subjectively enlarged but otherwise no abnormalities were noted. Liver enlargement can happen for a variety of reasons, we would need to “run her blood work” to make sure she is a good surgical candidate and see what her liver values are. The veterinarian said that if Bella is a candidate, they do have the capabilities of keeping Bella after surgery. Monitoring her overnight is very critical, as due to her age factor she should be monitored. This clinic is the best option for poor Bella. Bella means the world to me! Bella is my best friend and we do everything together. She knows her manners, understands when walking her to turn right, or left. Loves it when I cook her breakfast each morning, and gets her face cleaned up directly after eating her breakfast. I have always gotten many multiple compliments on how well behaved and loving my Bella is and aways a joy to be around when she is with others. She acts more like a human being than a dog. When she goes out to eat, she will sit up in a chair and she won't move as she gets fed just like a small child. Everyone gets a real kick being around Bella. She has always helped on the disabled when she went to this one library and all loved Bella. I was known as the lady of Bella. Bella was why they knew of me. She came 1st always! I currently need funds for her Blood work, Chest x-rays due to the diagnosis is Cancer of her right leg. Michi's Story “Michi is a three-year-old pastel calico who came into my life as a stray in September 2024. She began following my colleagues and me around the neighborhood during a lunchtime walk, and after a couple of months of getting to know each other, she became a permanent part of my life. Since then, she’s become my beloved companion and adventure buddy. We love picnicking, hiking, paddling, and biking together, and she brings so much joy and curiosity to every adventure. Michi was spayed in November 2024, but a few months later began showing signs of heat, including vocalizing and mating behaviors. She was evaluated in March 2026 and diagnosed with ovarian remnant syndrome, meaning ovarian tissue remained after her spay. Behavioral medications, including gabapentin, did not resolve her symptoms. Her veterinary team now recommends an abdominal exploratory surgery to locate and remove the remaining ovarian tissue, both to address her ongoing symptoms and reduce the risk of future complications. We have received a generous $400 Paws 4 A Cure grant, but we still need to raise $600 to help cover Michi’s surgery. Peetie's Story “Peetie is a nine-year-old CHI mix with an interesting, serious, stoic demeanor yet a very playful spirit. He came into my life as a puppy during a very challenging time. Peetie has proven to be a source of comfort and companionship, and he truly means the world to me. In early August, Peetie started shaking his head. This quickly progressed into vigorous head shaking with every step he took and a pronounced head tilt to the left, making simple routines like going for potty walks incredibly difficult and uncomfortable for him. I took him to the vet, where he was diagnosed with a severe bilateral ear infection. Initially, he was prescribed antibiotics and a topical ointment. Unfortunately, his ears were far too sensitive to apply the ointment, and he had an adverse reaction to the antibiotics. This required a second vet visit, where they prescribed a specialized liquid ear drop treatment. This new medication requires two applications spaced ten days apart. We have successfully administered the first dose and are halfway through his treatment, but I am not in a financial position to cover these additional veterinary costs on my own. Peetie’s second dosing is August 31, and that will be followed by a final visit to ensure the medication took its course, and all is well. We still need to raise $100 to cover his remaining medical care. But we rescued him three years ago and he has been a part of our hearts and lives since. This past June Vinnie suffered an injury. I was picking him up outdoors when he reacted very fiercely and, startled, I accidentally dropped him. So, he fell and he hit the ground, damaging his tooth in the process. The vet’s diagnosis is that he has to have his broken tooth mended or removed and bacterial infection must be prevented. The bacterial infection, if it develops, and if it goes untreated, could lead to a premature arising of symptoms from his dormant RIV condition. No treatments have been administered yet, as we are waiting to collect enough money to afford Vinnie’s medical treatment. Vinnie is our life and he is part of our family. Our fundraising goal is $900. To improve his mobility and quality of life, Sunny needs ongoing physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, and shockwave therapy. His recommended treatment plan is expected to cost approximately $2,577. Paws 4 A Cure is generously providing a $300 grant toward Sunny's care. His mom is contributing what she can, but she still hopes to raise $2,000 to help ensure financial limitations don't prevent Sunny from receiving the treatment he needs. Sunny isn't just a beloved pet—he is his mom's best friend, constant companion, and family. “Sunny is my sweet 5-year-old dog and my best friend. Earlier this summer, I began noticing changes that made me concerned he was experiencing pain. After taking him to the veterinarian, I learned that Sunny has moderate hip dysplasia and has been experiencing significant pain despite his happy and incredibly stoic personality. He has since received veterinary care and medications to help manage his pain, but he still needs ongoing treatment through Red Sage Integrative Veterinary Partners to help improve his comfort, mobility, and quality of life. Sunny came into my life five years ago and has been by my side through so many major changes. Most recently, he made the journey across the country with me as I pursued graduate school in Colorado. No matter how difficult or stressful life becomes, Sunny is the constant presence waiting for me at home. He is my family, my best friend, and one of the biggest reasons I keep pushing forward even on my hardest days. He protects me even though he is scared himself. I want nothing but the very best for Sunny, but right now I cannot afford to provide all of the treatment I wish I could give him without help. I am a full-time graduate student and work through internships and research assistant positions, but the limited hours and low pay make it difficult to cover my living expenses while also managing the growing cost of Sunny's veterinary care. About a month ago, Reagyn tore the ligament in her left knee. Her veterinarian has determined that surgery is the treatment she needs to repair the injury and give her the best chance at returning to a comfortable, active, pain-free life. Her surgery is expected to cost approximately $1,815. Thankfully, Paws 4 A Cure is providing a $400 grant toward Reagyn’s care. Her mom has also put aside what she can, but she still needs to raise $800 to make Reagyn’s surgery possible. Reagyn's mom never expected this sweet girl to become such an important part of her life. "Reagyn became part of my life after I rescued her from a shelter that described her as ‘difficult to place’ and ‘aggressive.’ We took a chance on her because I could tell she just needed the right kind of love, and she has become such a wonderful addition to my life. She is not aggressive at all and loves everyone she meets. Her favorite thing to do is hug you back with her paws when she is getting petted. She means so much to me, especially after filling the void left by another beloved pet who passed away. She has been by my side through so much, and I want to give her the chance to have many more happy, pain-free years ahead of her. Reagyn and I are so thankful to everyone who has contributed their time and money to help make her life better. The surgery will cost approximately $1,800, and I have some savings set aside. At just two weeks old, he was found alone beneath a car—tiny, bloated, constipated, and the brightest shade of orange the Humane Society staff had ever seen. They joked that he looked just like a mango, and the name stuck. Today, Mango is five and a half years old, and he has grown into the most loving, social cat imaginable. At our previous home, he had a daily routine that brought smiles to everyone around him. Every morning, he would make his neighborhood rounds, visiting each neighbor as if checking in on old friends.
